Cyrus laughs. The kind of laugh where one throws their head back and practically starts howling.

It takes a while to compose himself, but compose himself he does.

“ Apologies, it’s just... ” A hand moves to wipe the tears beginning to form from his eyes. “ It’s just sounds so... tame. ” He explains.

“ I suppose I’ve just gotten used to the more, ah... angry reactions, it simply caught me off guard. ”

He grins.

“ But I suppose I try. I must admit it’s rather entertaining to wind certain people up. ”

"casper!" cassandra calls out in a singsong voice, wrapping her arms around the butler from behind. she presses a kiss first to their cheek, then to their lips, pulling back with a bright smile. "happy birthday!" she pulls out a small box with a ribbon on it and hands it to them eagerly. inside is a brooch, similar to the one they already wear, but with a starry appearance to it. "i thought...you could wear it and think of me."

     Oh, there’s a startled noise that leaves their lips from the sudden call of their name and the hug that tightly captures of them. It was surprising, really. They hadn’t expected to so suddenly hear Cassandra approach, to being snatched up into her arms. Not that they really mind, or care for that matter. A tiny noise escapes the butler, a small smile find itself on their lips when the adventurer kisses first their cheek and then their lips.

     And that’s when a second surprised sound leaves them.

     “I–” they murmur although unsure of what to say quite yet, single eye blinking wide at the box suddenly pressed into their hands. They can’t help but stare at it owlishly, completely unused to suddenly being given a gift after so many years. The very thought brings a flush to their cheeks, and truly, Casper isn’t sure what to say. But they find their gloved fingers taking hold of the ribbon on the box and pulling it to unravel the bow. Once that’s out of the way, they take hold of the lid, pulling it from the small container and they gasp softly at the sight.

     “You…” Again, they’re left speechless, staring at the brooch and the stone that rest within it. And her words only make their face heat up further and as much as they want to cover their face, they have to be careful with the box in their palms. A slight quiver of their lips is made before one hand lifts, touching against their warm face for a moment.

     “Fool,” They mumble, reaching their hand back down to gently lift the brooch from the box, staring at it further, “How could I ever think of anyone but you? And with something like this… of course.” A tiny smile is made before Casper pushes the empty box back into Cassandra’s hand to let their now free fingers unclasp the stone they already wore on their collar to replace it with the one she had gifted them.

     “Thank you,” And they’re covering their mouth with a turn of their head, fingers lingering on the brooch, “I.. I love it,” A pause, a quick glance towards the adventurer, “I love you.”

i just want a remake of any sort tbh echoes was so good and i’d love more fe games to be accessible via remakes

BIG SAME........... that’s my big beef with jugdral? like, the plot sounds fine but the difficulty level looks absolutely ridiculous and i am not sitting through that. fuck no. a remake could fix that, keep it challenging but playable for newer fans while updating or fixing a few mechanics that could stand to be fixed. 

...i would still rather have elibe, though.

A PEEK INTO THE PAST.

          “ hector, hector, dance with me. ”

     the house is lit only by a low candle set on the windowsill where hector reads. rosaly reaches out to wind her arms around his shoulders and pull his attention from the book. 

          “ there’s no music playing, sweetheart. ”

          “ doesn’t matter. you should dance with me. ”

     he considers it a moment -- long enough for rosaly to wind their hands together and pull him to his feet. it can be very loosely described as dancing, swaying in circles in the middle of their sparse living room, and hector thinks of lisa and dracula spinning slow loops in the ballroom at the castle.

     the light catches on the red, red ribbon in rosaly’s hair, and he presses a kiss to her forehead as he pulls her close. she laughs bright and sweet, winding her arms around his midsection and simply swaying against him.

            “ it’s almost spring, hector. i can’t wait for all the flowers to bloom. ”

     he thinks of flowers braided into her hair, woven around the red, red ribbon, and lets a private little smile onto his face.

            “ i can’t wait either. ”

don't get me started on izana's death i could rant abt that for HOURS

if ur gonna kill him because of his powers…..AT LEAST FORESHADOW THAT IN THE OTHER ROUTES…. 

You wanna rant?? Oh, BOY. I have wanted to rant about this for ages. Not only was it a wholly unnecessary death story-wise (he’s never mentioned again, there’s no consequences or even a subplot about Izumo’s political turmoil after losing its Archduke, and, like you said, there’s no mention of this on other routes), but it was also crippling gameplay wise! Because Izana, who has decent growth rates, access to staff utility, has a good starting staff rank in a game where staff ranks increase at the speed of snail, is one of the few decent magic users because the non-child magic users are VERY screwed by Fates’ magic mechanics and need the child units’ crazy growth rates and stats to compensate ...

Yeah. To add insult to injury, they replaced Izana with Fuga. Fuga’s growths are pretty bad and who would WANT to recruit this guy after the wind chapter in Conquest???

The siren smiled when she spotted the astronomy teacher walking into the office. The school day was done, but most of the faculty tended to stay later... if only to clean up after the day’s shenanigans.

Leaning forward on the desk, Irene laced her fingers together, an idea percolating in her head.

“Want to go out for drinks tonight? We can get mimosas and detox.”

“Wait... 72? Are you serious???”       And to think Scorpia was hesitantly fessing up about breaking rule 89 by training with Entrapta in the weapons room. But rule 72? Everyone knew rule 72         No communication with enemy soldiers without an authorized supervisor or a recording device. That was a big one. 

      “Ah jeeze, maybe you should lay low for a little while. You haven’t told anyone else have you?”

       MOVING INTO THE DORM surrounded by high schoolers was one thing, but Cassandra was the first foreigner Ken had seen in his life. He's even less sure about how to strike up a conversation with her with that in mind. Is that an appropriate prompt to chat about? Should he just not mention it at all?

Then again, he's not really hear to mix and mingle with any of the SEES members. It doesn't matter one way or another he supposes. He's decided this after a few moments of the two of them sharing the same space in the dormitory kitchens.

“ I'll be out of your way, Cassandra-san, ” he says, an unspoken half-apology on his lips. Still, despite his statement, he's still looking through the fridge with no success.

probably burn. he dislikes the cold and he’s pretty immune to the feeling of burning, considering he works regularly with demons that exhale fire. the worst burning sensation to him is being splashed with holy water, and his armor is enchanted against most fire damage anyways.

You might not feel like you totally belong, but a part of you does, and that’s all that really matters in the end, isn’t it?”   Halfway real. Well, she’d felt what being not real was like before, and that was no fun. So, besides dissociating, relating to this was alright. They were so complex; humans. Then again... so was everyone.   Putting her hand on the other’s arm, Thirteen let go of a grin, despite the downcast air of the situation.
