jacks parents and little sister find out what he did and jump whenever he gets too close for years. they never look at him the same way, how could they? ralphs dad hugs his boy as tight as he can. he sees him beaten and bruised and bleeding and his eyes are glazed over. they both burst into tears immediately and mr. allebach whispers into ralphs ear "what did they do to you?" imagine simons mom and piggys auntie waiting with all of the other parents for boys who will never come. they never got to say goodbye.

Bucky stared intently at the open blank journal that sat in the middle of his office desk. He had picked up the pen a few minutes ago, but hadn’t written a single word. Why did he feel stuck? Better yet, what was he thinking by doing this? Reading often came easy to him, but writing? That was something else entirely.

It was also something he wanted to do.

He ran a hand over his face with a sigh and wondered if he should call it a night, crawl into bed with you, and try tomorrow. No, he didn’t want to push it off before he even began. Glancing at the monitor, he heard your voice in his head, a memory of something you told him in the early stages of dating:

The best writing comes from the heart. Write what you and your heart love because no one knows that story better than you.

Bucky had plenty of stories to tell. How he became a hero and a good man after years of pain and darkness. Or how he fell in love with you and became your husband.

And his newest adventure of becoming a father.

He wasn’t sure how to be a dad yet, but he knew he loved his son. That was more than enough to start. And with a smile tugging at his lips, he put the pen to paper.

Hey, Nugget,

My name is James Buchanan Barnes. Most people call me Bucky. Your mom calls me her husband and I’m the luckiest man in the world for that, especially since she gave me the greatest gift I could ever ask for: you.

Your name is James, too. Your mom doesn't know if we’ll call you Jamie or JJ, but I have a feeling you'll hear a bit of both. And one day, I’ll get to hear you call me Dad. Or Dada or Daddy or Papa.

Whatever makes you happy.

He paused in his writing when he thought he heard something on the monitor. His eyes flickered to the screen again and he breathed a little easier when he saw that his baby was still sleeping soundly in the middle of the crib. It wouldn’t stop him from checking on him later, just to be on the safe side.

I’m so glad you’re home. In fact, tonight is your first night in the nursery. I hope you like it here. To quote Ralph Waldo Emerson: “A house is made with walls and beams: a home is built with love and dreams.”

Yeah, your old man likes to read. Maybe you will, too. I even have an original copy of The Hobbit and would love to give it to you when you're older.

Books lined the far wall of Bucky’s office, many of them worn from the amount of times he read them. He made sure Jamie’s room had a reading nook, too. It was one of the only things he asked for when the two of you designed the nursery.

I hope you get enough sleep tonight. Your mom, too. You both did great at the hospital and deserve all the rest you can get.

Would you believe me if I said I was a nervous wreck when I brought your mom in, but tried not to let it show? People call me strong, but I don’t think I ever witnessed true strength until I saw how steady of a rock she was. She blew me away, which didn't surprise me. She amazes me every day.

Hearing your first cry stopped my heart and brought tears of joy to my eyes. After nine months of waiting and talking to your mom’s stomach, you were finally here. And seeing her hold you made me fall in love all over again.

Sorry if that sounds sappy, but it’s true. She looked right at me with happy tears in her eyes and said, “Bucky, look! Look at what we made! It's our little Nugget!” and my heart swelled. She insisted on calling you that and it rubbed off on me. Believe me when I say that you are the luckiest baby in the world to have the mother that you do.

He stopped writing again to glance at his wedding band, smiling all over again. He thought your love filled his heart before, but it overflowed now. It warmed him like nothing else ever could.

You’re probably wondering why I’m writing this since a lot of time will pass by the time you read this. Sometimes I may write to remember things I’m afraid I’ll forget. Other days I’ll write to reflect and get the words out when my mind is too loud. But my hope is that this will be a gift to you.

A bond for the two of us.

As you grow, I’ll fill the pages with the memories of you and our family. I’ll tell you about my past and how it shaped me into the man I am today. How your mom and I met and how I somehow convinced her to fall in love with me. And I’ll be sure to tell you about the day she told me we were going to have you and how that news changed my life for the better.

He swallowed the lump in his throat before he continued.

I also plan to fill this with your milestones. Like your first smile. Is it selfish if I hope to see it first? If not me, your mom. She’d love that. Your first step. Being selfish again, but I hope it’s me you walk toward so I can pick you up and tell you how proud I am. And your first word. I hope it’s Mama.

Though I won’t object if you say Dada.

Bucky chuckled as he imagined the look of betrayal on your beautiful face if your son said “Dada” first instead of “Mama”.

I’m sure some days I’ll have more to say than others. If I’m lucky, I can pass on life lessons and words of wisdom. Some days though I may not say the right thing and I know I’ll stumble along the way as I figure out how to be the best dad to you. I say “best” and not “perfect” because perfection doesn’t exist. Except for you and your mom.

The beauty of it is that I don’t have to go it alone. I’ll have your mom by my side to help guide and protect you and to watch you flourish. And my hope is that you know as you look through the pages how much we love you.

Even on days I may not get it right, I’m your dad, you’re my son, and you’ll always have a home with me and a place in my heart.

I’ll write more when I can, Nugget. Until then, I love you.

Bucky set the pen down as he exhaled. It wasn't perfect, but it didn't have to be. It was a start. As long as he put his heart into his words, it would shine from the pages.

And he couldn't wait for all the adventures he’d have with his little Nugget.

Watching you star in “Callous, Retro, Wild” was such a tear jerking experience. I remember when you were a toddler running around and pretending to be Daniel LaRusso (we definitely showed you Karate Kid way too young) and now you’re originating a role with such depth I can’t help but cry. oh boy. i might get hate for this but honestly at this point, i don't care because what the fuck is going on?

some of y'all don't understand what nuance is and it's genuinely worrisome.

how did you watch cobra kai and think "yeah miguel was abusive to robby?" the fuck? no actually what the fuck? why do you think he was abusive to him. most of the time in the story, they stayed distant from each other. the hate was mutual for the most part. like honestly miguel did start some of their fights but did we forget that robby started the rivalry in retaliation to what his dad was doing?

miguel dislocated robby's shoulder and took his girl.

robby nearly killed miguel and took his girl.

but the main issue with robby isn't miguel. it's johnny. you know, his absentee father?

how did you watch this show and genuinely think it's toxic? like the writing can be bad, yes. it's hella corny at times too. but like...why do i feel like this letter im seeing was being made because some fans didn't like the robby/sam endings for the show?

sam always had a love/hate relationship with karate. it's shown and told throughout the show. like girl was fighting with herself because of her and karate. it's why she broke up with miguel in s5. it's why she was iffy on joining miyagi-do in the first place. her not wanting to fight anymore makes sense for her character arc. she's done with that part of her life.

now tory was really intense. but it was made clear as to why she was the way she was. and she changed around season four. she didn't want to hurt sam anymore and, like the boys, stayed distant from her. s5 hits and she's choosing to do her own thing. then the girls become allies. allyship turns genuine friendship in s6.

i have no fucking clue how y'all got toxicity from this show in that regard. like yes there are some problems that aren't addressed and should be (*cough* robby getting sexually assaulted by zara *cough*) but this isn't it. the core four do what johnny and daniel couldn't 30 years ago, and that is heal. heal within each other and themselves.

i also really really hate the fact that people think there's even an abusive relationship between the boys at all. the girls don't really even have one but i can see how that's misconstrued.

like give me a genuine, true reason as to why miguel is a bully or an abusive person.

keep in mind, the characters are fucking children who were being used as pawns in a 30 year rivalry (technically further than that with kreese and silver) between dojos and senseis.

like genuinely i hate to say this, i really do. but media literacy is at an all-time low

Christmas Version!

I loved both of your prompts soooo much! But of course time crunch had to choose to do one only. Nevertheless I still had fun. Sorry if the sketch is sloppy but I didn’t want it to look like crap by coloring it wrong or having to turn it in late or half done. I loved this prompt of 2012 Mikey angst because he deserved more attention in that subject.

I also thought Leo and Mikey’s relationship was fun so I went down the angst category they both fit into; their dad splinter. While splinter is a father figure to all of the turtles in this version (and every version), I feel like these two initiate warm interactions with him more than Donnie and Ralph(Mikey barely edging Donnie). Mikey calling out to Splinter as his papa will probably forever scar my outlook on his character. So who better to comfort him when he misses him than his eldest brother with a similar trauma.

Okay, I've done a couple of read-throughs of "The Week Before". Apparently there's this bonus item you need to get in order to get the true ending of the book, but I haven't figured out how to get it yet.

Notable details so far: Ralph/Phone Guy has an 11-year-old daughter named Coppelia, and apparently they have a very loving relationship. Ralph's number one concern is getting home safely to his daughter every night. He also wants to be a model Fazbear employee despite not wanting his daughter to ever get a job at Freddy's.

Ralph's father is mentioned in the book, too. Apparently he was a huge perfectionist and not the greatest dad in the world, so Ralph tries to be a better dad to Coppelia than his own dad was to him.

Another notable detail is about our favorite fox, Foxy: apparently, he used to perform on the same stage as Freddy, Bonnie and Chica, but he was "banished" to Pirate's Cove and "forgotten". I haven't found out why yet...

There's also mention of the victim of the Bite of '87. Apparently, he(?) couldn't talk or do much of anything after the bite. Ralph suspects the victim did something to provoke the attack, due to his unwavering loyalty to Fazbear Entertainment. Honestly, Ralph's loyalty to the company makes him a morally gray character despite him otherwise being a decent guy.

"The Afton family" Part 1/2 Fnaf Amaranth AU!

Note: Yes, this AU is inspired by Mobox87's and many others old FNAF lore that was created back in 2015-2016 but is remade to fit into what we have today. I'm simply doing this for the sake of fun and keeping a part of the nostalgia alive. All designs are inspired by how I viewed them personally growing up, making them my original designs. The Parents:

Name: Scott Ralph Afton.

Nickname: Scotty

Nationality: British (Moved to America)

Scott is clumsy and laid back. He is also a bit skittish because his dad used to scare him, intentionally as a child.

Has always struggled mentally, thanks to his childhood being quite rough.

He was bullied in school for being the shy and antisocial kid, often hiding in the bathroom stalls to get away.

He never had a good relationships with his parents, not even with Vincent no matter what he originally thought.

Has undiagnosed ADHD.

His special interest is machinery!

Likes to keep things organized and tidy.

Hates when someone is disobedient.

Loves teasing and making dad jokes!

Like his second oldest son, he has a fondness for the animatronic Foxy!

Suffers from insomnia and hallucinates.

He has a high pain tolerance and often gets injured, hence the many bandages he is wearing. His wife puts them on.

Feels horrible for not being able to stop Vincent from killing his children & being the cause of so many deaths.

Scott is the phone guy and tape guy (aka Henry but now it's Scott!)

Scott didn't actually die after the animatronics attacked and stuffed him into a suit, he was just severely injured.

Despite being in pain, he managed to stay alive until someone found him. After that incident he decided to retire.

He commits suicide, suffocating during the fnaf 6 fire together with Michael.

Scott is a hard working man that love's his family more than anything, but struggles to keep the stability going. Not only does he specialize with dangerous animatronics at work along side his brother Vincent, who has always been questionable in nature. He has always struggled mentally thanks to his upbringing.

The lack of sleep he is getting from his insomnia and night shifts causes him to get injured on the job. Which his wife is very unhappy about, they could be bickering and next thing they know they're argumening over family matters. Though Scott tries to be the one who puts an end to it and be a better husband and father to his children, he has to admit he is far from perfect. He retired from his own business Fazbear entertainment after the tragedies and focused on his remaining family, returning briefly during fnaf 6 to aid Michael and decided he would commit suicide with them.

Name: Margaret Fritz.

Nickname: Mag, Magpie.

Nationality: Norwegian.

Margaret met Scott through high school and originally felt bad for him, letting him rant to her about his inventions.

This somehow sparked feelings between the two and they remained high school sweethearts up until their marriage.

Margaret went to medical school and worked as a nurse for a few years, earning a good living for them.

She did end up quitting early and became a stay at home mom when she first got pregnant with twins.

Later in life she would try getting back into the work field but retires due to mental health issues.

Has a slight drinking problem and hates how addicted she is to it.

She suffers from compassion fatigue.

Developed depression and erratic behavior after the disappearances.

Feels guilty for Charlie's death because she was drinking that night and asked Scott to get him. (He was working late)

After Scott died in the fire, she went back to her drinking habits and died from liver failure. (Basically suicide)

Margaret is a stay at home mother who often finds herself stressed over not just her kids, but also her husband. Thanks to his recklessness at work and his horrible sleep schedules, along with his mental health. Margaret and Scott tend to argue a lot about his well being and over how they should manage things in their household, which often ends up going nowhere. This caused her to pick up a small drinking habit that she tries her best to hide from everyone, especially her children. Margaret originally came from Norway but moved to America with her family when she started high school. There she not only met Scott but got a degree in nursing and after a few years of dating, fell pregnant. This caused her to have to stay home permanently and at first while it was difficult, she knew she was doing it for a good cause. Their growing family. After the missing children's incident she went completely off the rails and had to be sent away to the mental hospital by Scott. She really struggled, especially with the guilt of not being able to protect her children that she had spent so much of her life taking care of. Eventually though she would be able to return back to Scott and their remaining children, raising them.

Older siblings:

Name: Coppelia Afton.

Nickname: Lia

Age: 11 (in 1984)

Coppelia is the twin sister of Charlie!

Has ADHD.

Struggles sleeping like Scott.

Her special interest is also machinery!

She's often found outside tinkering in the garage with something.

She also loves reading books, specially the book that she was named after.

Can be quite hyperactive and playful, often leading her to be a bit brutal.

Love's to have playful banters with Scott or Charlie to see their reactions.

When she was younger she used to draw disturbing drawings, she grew out of it though! Scott affectionately calls her "his creepy daughter"

She loves eating bacon and eggs or pancakes, calling it her british breakfast. (Because she thinks it's funny)

After Margaret was sent away Mrs Andrews, their neighbor helped Scott take care of Coppelia and her brother.

This caused her to became a mother figure to her and she calls her mom!

She doesn't like any of the animatronics and once she got so scared as a child that she threw up and cried.

Coppelia is her families only daughter and tue older twin, taking most characteristics after her father. She is very hyperactive and playful, often tinkering with machinery like her father when he was younger. She can't be still for long, yet somehow she never runs out of energy either. She loves playing around with her siblings which often leads her to be a bit competitive and rough. She always feels a bit guilty because she accidentally hurts them or make them cry! The reason she prefers playing with her siblings still, is because she gets bullied at school too. Unlike her father though, she puts up a fight which gets her in trouble. Surprisingly Coppelia never noticed the issues her family had before her siblings went missing and her parents were even more unstable than what was normal to her. As if she didn't already struggle sleeping it got even worse for her, grieving heavily at the fact she might not even see her twin brother or younger brother again. She didn't know what to do and was afraid of when her father had to get back to work, but Margaret wasn't there anymore. Luckily their friendly neighbor Mrs Andrews would offer to watch over her and her baby brother, offering her support to the girl and comforting her. She knew what it was like loosing someone.

Vincent stabbed Charlie multiple times in the lungs out of drunken rage, leaving him outside to bleed out in the rain.

Charlie is the oldest son and younger twin, taking a lot after both his parents. He is quite gloomy, clumsy and introverted but a passionate caretaker like his mother. Like his sister they're not exactly popular at school and the kids often picked on them, but Coppelia was there to protect him! Sometimes he wishes he would be able to do the same, to show that he was capable.. But all he could do was run and get the teacher. He makes up for this when he is able to protect his brother and the missing children after he is killed by Vincent outside of the pizzeria. The reason he died was because he was waiting for Scott to finish working after Maggie forgot to pick him up. Then the same children who bullied him and his sister threw him outside and locked the door. At first he blamed both his parents for his death, but stopped holding a grudge against them when he realized Scott and Michael tried to free them behind the scenes.

You'll often see him wearing pirate gears and singing songs, dragging around his younger brother who happily follows. He also never stops talking about what interests him and struggles knowing when to stop. He loves pirates, sea creatures and foxy! Bart also always unintentionally gets himself into trouble, even if it isn't his fault and while he loves his father the most, he hates being punished by him and go to the thinking corner. After he was killed by his own uncle Vincent, like the other missing children he can't trust adults and is very aggressive. Even to his own father Scott, when he figured out he possessed Foxy and tried to communicate with him.

He also tends to be so quiet that Scott got scared by him multiple times becuse he was just standing there, smiling at him.

His favorite thing is arts and crafts and he actually helped decorate the pizzeria along with other children there.

He loves playing with balloons, but hates when they pop, then he will start crying.

He used to be close with Bart before he went missing, now he is very attached to his older sister Coppelia.

Sammy is the youngest son and the only surviving family member of the Afton family with his older sister after Michael and his parents. As a child he was a bubbly boy filled with laughter, often finding himself following others around rather than leading the way like his older brother Bart. He was very young when his brothers disappeared and when he got older he struggled remembering them. When Maggie was sent away to the mental hospital, Scott retired to take care of him and was finally able to improve on his parental skills. When Sammy became an adult he started working under Fazbear entertainment despite the history it held to his family with his sister.

Okay I've let this sit here for a hot minute while I think.

I think Peter is not only underutilised by the fandom, but also a victim of his own future. So many headcanons about Peter come from what he does years down the lines as if his past is a consequence of his later betrayal. I hate this because it means he's never truly made his own character.

I'm going to try my best to yap about him in my own way and not just whatever I ingest from conversations with @futurequibblerjournalist about him.

Yes, Peter is fat. I don't want to talk about that though, but we're getting it out of the way because I won't stand for an Dane DeHaan fancasts when I feel like we're better than making fat characters skinny.

I love that idea that Peter and Marlene were friends before Hogwarts, his limited muggle knowledge comes from her family. They know each other through their parents and Marlene is just glad to have someone her age to play with and Peter is used to being around girls because of his older sisters.

When they got to Hogwarts and found other friends, they weren't necessarily as close anymore. Peter shared a dorm with the boys and they all became friends. With Sirius and James being so loud and energetic, Peter felt drawn to the quieter Remus and they became friends, and he ultimately was the reason Peter became part of the Marauders.

Peter is an observer, he notices so much because people either ignore him or don't think much of him. He sits in corners and listens and this is his contributing factor to the pranks. While they're planning them, he'll notice weak spots like "well this won't work because X said that they were going to the library at that time so won't be in the dorm". When they realise how good he is at spying for them, they start sending him off to scout information in the lead up to pranks.

I think there's so much emphasis on the other Marauders and music, but I like to think Pete was really into music too. He would have loved Madness, Ralph McTell and he gained a love of Fairport Convention from his dad who had discovered muggle music, they were hiting up Cropredy Festival every year. I think he would deny his love of folk music to his friends though, that was something he kept to himself.

Okay and now for the fun part that's been brewing for a little bit. Peter and Sybill were an unexpected couple, I think the Marauders noticed that he was sneaking off sometimes and would go missing in Hogsmeade and started placing bets on who it was but none of them had said Sybill Trelawney. They hadn't crossed paths very much, she's a Ravenclaw and he's a Gryffindor, but she'd noticed him in the library struggling to find a charms book. Sybill was known to have been able to produce a non-corporeal Patronus at some point so was gifted in charms and helped Peter to become more confident in his own capability.

I think there was a gentle quietness to their relationship, they weren't loud like Rosekiller or as affectionate as Wolfstar or as tragic as Jegulus. They would sit together at meals or in the library, they'd talk walks by the lake. Peter would love sitting with Sybill while she yaps enthusiastically about divination and prophecies because he loved seeing her light up. He shows a lot of interest when she talks about Cassandra Trelawney who she is proud to be a descended of, which is new for her.

We know that Sybill ends up (briefly) married to another man after Hogwarts but I don't see these two having a big eventful break up, they have different priorities for their futures and decide that after school ends they will go their seperate ways fairly amicably. I think Sybill doesn't particularly like the Marauders and thinks they make Peter reckless, and Peter doesn't like her cat (for obvious reasons) but she won't part with it. There's no drama, they still love each other but they don't want to sacrifice a part of themself for their relationship to work. We know Sybill ends up divorced in canon because she won't change her surname, she knows what she wants, she's stubborn and I love that for her.

After Hogwarts, Peter dates but never really settles down and does feel a bit of regret about Sybill, especially all those years later returning to the school and seeing her there.

Margaret : Henry’s orders rival that used to be in a constant war of him. When they were kids. It ended after Henry’s incident where they stop seeing each other for years when they eventually reunite they’re still some what hostility to each other but they end up actually getting along and understanding each other more than they ever expected to . Margaret still a very temperamental stubborn person but has cooled down and started to mature more as she got an older, she is in a relationship with Susan.

Susan : Susan is a smart, witty clever ,woman with a big heart. She attends London’s premier school of fashion alongside Ralph where they became utter best friends often going out for a coffee and a chat very much the caddy girls that snuck about everyone around them kind of friends Susan is very intent on her desires and is willing to do whatever it takes to get them. She’s also a very devoted partner to Margaret.

Brian : ( tw for mentions of sexual assault ) Brian is an extremely smart man that makes incredibly stupid decisions. Being one of the youngest professors at a very notable high school that Peter and his friends go to despite not actually being that old compared to them is seen as a mentor figure. But despite his knowledge and respect from his other peers, he has made some actions and decisions that are incredibly idiotic . The most notable one is having a complicated and weird relationship with Henry’s dad Simon a man that he has known since he was a young kid that eventually develops into intimacy with questionable consent that makes him feel vulnerable and stupid even if ultimately it’s not his fault for the actions that are taken upon him but it is his fault for continuing to talk to this man But other than that he is truly intense comforting person .

( Also don’t worry, Simon gets his ass beaten later on for these actions )

William : He was a giant crybaby as a kid and still is now he’s also a emo artist woh post stuff on his my seen account. He doesn’t have many followers. His very few fans are intently dedicated to his work and finds it very interesting. He has a bright future and his love by his friends and girlfriend .



Al : One of Henry and Ralph’s closest friends since they were very little kids he is easily the most responsible person out of all of them. He’s a kind bro that is very dedicated to his love of sports but doesn’t do it as much as he used to and mostly sticks to being a, footy coach for a bunch of five year olds but he doesn’t mind. He’s also married to gurinder, which he’s devoted to and is a very stressed out newbie parent. Can’t wait for his kids to arrive but also terrified of everything that comes with it. 

Gurinder : I kind of ditzy yet sweet woman who is very bubbly and social with an undying love for everything girly and cute. But she can be quite intimidating if you push her too far especially when it comes to her husband and yet to be born kids. She works for bills company and is a pretty good worker but is still considered nothing too spectacular to anyone there but she tries her hardest to climb up. She’s also a very kind sweet friend who is always there for you during the darkest times.

Avery : She was originally known as Andrew by everyone when they were kids but now is a trans woman yet still a bundle of nerves waiting to explode at any second from the littlest of worries. Has OCD and severe anxiety and doesn’t really get out or socialise with anyone outside of her boyfriend William but still tries her best. She’s a really smart book nerd who runs a blog reviewing literature.

Bert : He didn’t really say much when he was 12 but that’s very different. Now Bert is very much a radical left punk who is very intent on what he believes in from destroying oligarchies to the evil of capitalism to frankly anything else you can think of when it comes to that movement, but he’s a lot more chill about what he believes and compares to his comrades. He works in disability and age care he is very much seen as one of the kindest people working there as he loves to help out anyone he can but don’t let that fool you to thinking he’s a softy as he can easily beat your ass if the time calls for it he may be on the fat side but he sure devastate you .

Linda : Linda isn’t actually as lazy as people think, but it’s mostly because she is very ill and has a multitude of chronic illnesses even to the point of having a colostomy bag but she’s not ashamed of it. She’s lived like this forever and it’s the only way she knows how to live sure she would like to be like everyone else but it’s otherwise comfortable. She’s very chill easy-going and kind of a hippie or at least has a very hippie sentiment, Bert is her disability carer and they’re very close.

Nicola : A very strong and smart mouth woman that works as a model she’s very proud of how she looks and acts but doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a nastier side. Also Ralph and Henry’s neighbour which they can’t stand an offering have a very bickering relationship with she’s very noisy so they act even noisier she left her underwear in the laundromat. They leave there underwear in the laundromat. It’s a constant cat and mouse game with them.

Hello Do you have any Ralph x turbo headcannons 

ASDLFJALKJDF I HAVE SO MANY OMG I'M GOING TO LIST A FEW

Constantly touching somehow (like holding hands, Turbo chilling on Ralph's shoulder/leaning against Ralph, Ralph keeping his hand against Turbo's back/keeping a hand close to Turbo in case he needed to "protect" him, etc.). Two of the most touch starved bastards in the entire arcade get into a relationship lol.

This one's about them knowing each other in the 80s but I love the idea that Turbo was one of the few characters that was not intimidated at all by Ralph when they first met, and I like to headcanon that it led to Ralph taking an interest in Turbo which led to Turbo taking an interest in Ralph (because Ralph, in turn, was clearly not intimidated or annoyed by Turbo)

Another headcanon I have is that at one point Ralph asked Turbo about cars and how they worked because he was curious and called the pedals "buttons" and Turbo found it so funny and cute that he never called them pedals around Ralph again no matter how many times Ralph asked for him to just tell him what they're actually called, he'd just be like "nope, they're called buttons from now until the rest of forever."

adkjflakjdf I love to headcanon that when alone with Ralph, Turbo was very much just like the silly guy we see him being as King Candy, while Ralph was also very much the witty, quick thinking guy we see him as but also waaaaaay more sarcastic when it was just him and Turbo because he could both be himself and because he and Turbo could bounce off of each other really well, to the point where they could very easily distract each other on accident and lose track of time and what they were doing lol (loved their little bit of banter in the movie omg)

So this one involves another headcanon of mine where Turbo spent time in the 80s learning to code by figuring out his own code (pre-programmed with the mechanical knowledge he'd need to be able to work on his own car + some circumstance that would drive him to need to learn how to mess with his own code) since from a programmer perspective it makes a bit more sense lol, but I like the idea that the green-ish undershirt Ralph wears was sort of a gift from Turbo since it's not really indicated or hinted at in his 8-bit character sprite and I think it's a fun idea. Like, Turbo was trying to figure out how to actually make shit rather than just modify or copy it and at some point made that big undershirt for Ralph as his first ever creation, though it wasn't the exact color he'd meant to make it, but Ralph loved and appreciated it so much that he kept it.

You owe me." and, like, she's right. She's totally right.

so after dusk learn the truth about fable how does this affect their relationship with each other and legend?

(if i have asked this before then sorry. i'm not nagging you or trying to bug. i sometimes genuinely forget if i have asked something before)

For all intents and purposes, Fable and Dusk don't have much of a relationship. They're both more reserved in general, and while they work together, Artemis and Sun are the ones who actually try and make them socialize. Due to age differences, when they do socialize at work, it's usually with people closer to their ages, Dusk with Lullaby, Artemis, Sky, and Warriors, and Fable with Legend, Ravio, Hyrule, Hilda, and Wild.

Previous to any revelations, Dusk wasn't close with any of the younger kids, not even Legend, so when they found out, they were literally starting from scratch. It would be the same with fable, I think. The difference though is that Legend has always had questions, whereas Fable is content in her life and never looked for more. Fable isn't looking for a mom, and while Ambi isn't her mother, she is the woman who's been there for Fable for years, just like Ralph has been her almost-brother for years.

Ambi was Raven's boss for years, but once he moved to other work, they remained friends since their kids were the same age. When he had to leave the country for anything, she stayed with them, and vice versa. His death resulted in Ambi getting custody, although if she'd died first, Ralph would have come to be in Raven's custody (Ambi's husband died at sea years ago).

Having Dusk appear, and learning the woman is her mother, is not going to be easy for her. in many ways, she feels she knows the woman her father loved, but Dusk has changed a lot from when she was seventeen and stupid. She's a woman now, and a bitter one, and so it's hard for Fable to reconcile her to the stories her dad would tell her. I think for them, it's slow. They're both more stable than Legend, so talking things through happens more, and Ambi, as Fable's guardian, is a huge help on both sides. I think she and Dusk will end up friends.

As for Legend, finding out he has a twin is the strangest shit in the world to him. There's a whole ass person he shared a womb with, who he could have grown up with, and she's the sweet gal he works with all the time. Luckily, they're already on friendly terms, and while suddenly being siblings is weird, they adapt pretty well, at least in comparison to having a mom all of a sudden.

Granted, Legend and Fable's sort-of-brother do have something of a rivalry, but hey, if anything, it's entertaining to her.

Diane and Peanutbutter taught me so much about love and how sometimes relationships end because they’re more reliant on constant work than being natural. They met at a time where Diane was really struggling with her identity, rushed into marriage, fell in love but it wasn’t the right time. Even when they broke up the attraction was still there, but they stopped acting on it. And moved on and were happy.

Viv could never. She thinks if two people can fuck and it’s hot, nothing else matters. No matter the message it sends to the audience. Not even consent, and not even the pain and mental health of both involved, but also including an entirely innocent and distressed seventeen year old girl. I hope Via never changes her mind on this because why tf should she. It’s the equivalent of seeing your dad cheat on your mom during a midlife crisis with a Beverly Hills girl half his age, only after his money. And the fact Viv is killing off Stella for daring to intervene this otp? That’s shocking.

With the disclaimer that we're not 100% sure Stella's being killed off...yeah, agreed completely.

Diane and Mr. Peanutbutter's relationship was about how love, let alone sexual chemistry, isn't always enough. Princess Carolyn and Ralph's relationship was about how two people can be fantastic for one another and still not work out. Viv could never understand that.

(Some of) My other ships

Now, Reylo is my OTP. It is what I consider to be one of the best fictional love stories of all time.

I mean, look at them?!?With that being said, however, I wanted to make a post about my other ships. None come near Reylo, but I just wanted to gush a bit. I wonder if we have any other ships in common So here in no order, is my list:

Bunnydoll- Amazing Digital Circus

Okay, I know it’s confirmed we’re getting no main romance from this show. And I know Jax is supposed to be an ass no one likes. With that being said, they were lowkey cute in the episodes shown so far.

The look he gives her when he says “She (Pomni) still thinks this is a dream.” Or when he calls her Dollface 😫😫😫😫 (I’m whipped for pet names) there’s even like a live zoom call between the cast posted on YT where Jax’s va says “I love you Ragatha” at the request of a fan and it’s so cute 🥹 I also got parent vibes from them in the pilot when they were showing Pomni around.

It’s giving strict mom and idgaf dad.

Ik it’s probably not gonna be cannon and I don’t care that much if it is (does not hold the place in my heart that Reylo does) but I think there’s potential there. Maybe I enjoy their fannon a bit more than cannon, idk 🤷‍♀️

Felix and Tamora - Wreck it Ralph

Now, they are so wholesome like 🥹

He’s so whipped from her from the very start. I love their love story in the first movie. Felix is so whipped for her from the start, and she doesn’t trust easily due to her trauma.

Yet, Tamora warms up to him steadily and eventually realizes that the two have fallen in love- and it’s okay that she’s learned to love again, she’s not betraying her original love and that just because he went out horribly doesn’t mean Felix will.

I also love how Felix is patient and respectful towards her. When he learned their term “dynamite gal” triggered/upset Tamora, he never said that again. He resorted to other names (lady love, Tammy, etc) and I love that. He’s not perfect, and he was clearly a bit tone death towards Ralph in the beginning of the movie, but he really is a great guy. I sorta get the nice landers- I’d wanna be his friend too if I was in a video game tbh.

They’re wonderful, I love them.

Buzz and Jessie- Toy

Them. I had a Jessie, Buzz, and Bullseye doll when I was little-

(I was also Jessie for Halloween one year)

Anyways, I’ve always loved them. Again, opposites attract. Jessie has extreme trust issues from being abandoned. She still gets anxiety from being in tight spaces.

Buzz knows how to calm her during panick attacks, he always reassures her she won’t end up alone, and he’s who taught her how to trust again.

Even when he’s switched by Lotso, he still finds her beautiful 🥹

Jessie also brings out a different side to him- even got him to Spanish dance in front of everyone at the end of 3 ☺️

They always steal the show, and I can’t wait to see them in Toy Story 5 (Yall can tell Iove Toy Story, right?)

Chilli and Bandit-Bluey

Okay, as of right now they’re probably my second favorite ship. Like I’ve even written fics about them (not nearly as much as Reylo, but a few) and I could go on.

What I absolutely LOVE about Chilli and Banditis the fact that they give something fresh to cartoon. Most tv parents are either toxic or they simply exist as parents and not a couple. Like not toxic per se but they exist to raise the protagonist.

But Chilli and Bandit? They are still so in love and they have a relationship outside of being parents. They disagree sometimes, but what married couple doesn’t??? They still make time for each other despite their busy lives, and they allow each other to still spend time with their friends and go out.

Not to mention, they show their daughters what they should want in a relationship someday. They’re still affectionate despite their gross (yet typical) tendencies, they take the L for each other (Bandit eating Bingos special so she feels important and Chilli doesn’t have to suffer/ Chilli telling the girls to lay off Bandit when they’re mad about moving despite agreeing with them), they’re gentle with each other when the other is triggered/upset (The Show/ Stockbrid) and overall, they know how to balance parenting, their love, their work, friends, and family all while being so damn cute.

The fact whenever Bluey or Bingo pretend to be a married adult and use the term “bahbe” implies that Bandit speaks like that to Chilli 🥹 (honestly cannon because we see their sweet talk all the time)

They’re just so sweet, wholesome, healthy, and they’re honestly my favorite part of Bluey.

So there’s my other ships. I wonder if we have any in common 🤩 If you want a part two I’m down for it, but don’t worry this is still a Reylo blog and that will still be my main content :)

I realised I couldn't re-blog your post out of the community so I hope you don't mind I'll reference it here instead and people can go and have a look. This bit just clicked in my head so much:

"Choosing your romantic partner is the adult version of a child choosing Mom or Dad on who they love more."

I love this concept so much and it totally fits for me!!!  I’ve always felt that Laurie’s feelings in the book go way beyond a simple love triangle and, alluring as Andrew and Ralph surely are, this idea of choosing your parent, being forced to pick a side, supplies the power for me – to me the shadow of it explains his intense feelings of guilt and obligation, his sense that he is not making a positive choice at all, but choosing who to hurt.  I definitely see the encounter with Ralph, whether he likes it or not, as a mirror image of the encounter with his Dad, in both cases the realisation that the person he had set up as a God was only human after all.

And also, Lucy’s choices!  She disposes of Michael in a unilateral decision (some might say a certain person makes a certain unilateral decision later on, for similar reasons…..) but it is for Laurie’s sake.  And then she turns down an offer of marriage, and later seems to choose stability over romance.  In a way her choice to be alone is similar to Laurie’s choice of Andrew, knowing that the relationship will never be a fully fledged ‘marriage’ because it will always be chaste (well that’s what Laurie thinks, I’m not so sure Andrew agrees!)

That’s so interesting about Fire from Heaven, because I recently read the ‘Friendly Young Ladies’, which, guess what, also opens with an adolescent girl trying to escape from her rowing parents!  There is definitely a lot in there about children and parents too.  It’s definitely made me look at The Charioteer in a different light…….
