zoxu however! they're a bit wary of other ex-inquest, but they're starting to relax a little. they'd be a little slow to warm up, especially if "he quit his job by killing 50 people" was the first thing they knew about him, but they might start to chill when they figure out why he did it (and relate a smidgen).

@guildwuff2 he'd counter COUNTER adopt you, you know he would.

And honestly he has a lot of respect for anyone who manages to get free of the Inquest, because he knows how hard it can be... especially in the kind of situation Zoxu was in.

For Vezz, he only left with a kidnapped kid to return to her mother. Zoxu left with "Inquest property" (and I hope you can hear him scoffing SO INCREDIBLY LOUDLY from here at the very concept). That's a lot harder to slip out of.

He says, having massacred an entire facility of 50+ researchers AND its overseer when he "resigned."

But really he just. He knows how hard it is. Knows how stressful it is. There's threads there, even if you don't want to admit it. He doesn't know if Zoxu has that kind of sensation towards his old colleagues, but he knows it's something that can be hard to untangle.

TL;DR, he has a lot of respect for him. He gets it. And he hopes only the best for him and Mu.

I really loved the one you did for me so I hope this makes up for the wait! Also, you wrote from the character's perspective so I responded the same way. Hope that's fine! @ithseem @courtofmatchups

Hey! I run the Court of Matchups blog. This is my main. I'm down to do a trade. Are you willing to do a Tokyo Debunker matchup for an OC? Her name is Tasnim. I'm gonna write this as if she's the one speaking so you can better grasp how they speak, for all intents and purposes, so... Here you go.

Appearance: I am a bisexual South Asian demigirl (she/they pronouns) with straight black hair and tan skin. I usually tie into a low braid because I think it looks cute, and I don't like the feeling of loose hair on the back of my neck. I also wear glasses. I am 160 cm tall and pretty scrawny. My favourite colours are pink and orange, and I present myself very feminine, but I do like to dabble in other aesthetics too.

Personality: I like to say I'm a pretty cheerful and upbeat person. I try my best to smile through tough situations, though it can be hard sometimes. I also like to say I'm a family person, and I will do anything to protect them, and my friends. I am perfectionistic, but sadly I am a bit scatterbrained, much to the dismay of my parents and older sister. Hell, I almost burned the eggs I was making for the first time (I have gotten better tho). I have been working on my organizational skills though, and I’m happy to say that I’ve come a pretty long way. I can be quite petty too. If someone wrongs me, I tell them either bad puns or horrifying facts for a period of time as revenge. I'm also good at math, so my friends come to me for help with that. Also, in almost every friend group I'm in, I somehow become a therapist friend. Lemme tell you, THAT really takes a toll on me. I also have a soft spot for unabridged fairytales (they high-key have me in a chokehold). Some more lil' factoids about me: I wear my hair in a low braid because I don't like the feeling of hair on the back of my neck. My friends and family often told me my hands get pretty animated when I talk

Likes: Anime, drawing comics, video games, unabridged fairytales, sweets (my favourite dessert is caramel pudding) and spending time with my older sister

Dislikes: Cruelty, confrontation (I will kick butt if I need to, literally or figuratively), anyone who dares to threaten my friends or family, arrogance when it gets out of hand, black tea or coffee (I cannot drink it unless it is sweetened or if I have it with a LOT of milk)

Luca is someone who can really appreciate your disposition, mostly because he's the same way. He's also a very family oriented person, so I think he would try really hard to mesh well with yours, especially if you spend a lot of time with them. He might make himself a little anxious trying to make sure they like him, so please give him a pep talk and maybe some advise.

I also think that he would find the whole scatterbrained thing very cute! Luca sees you as someone on the exact same level as him, like a partner. So, when he finds an opportunity to be the one to support you, he jumps at it. If you mention having plans, he writes it down and reminds you later. If you're cooking, he'll try to inconspicuously position himself close enough to react if you turn away and it starts to burn. (he cannot cook, though, so that's probably as far as that goes.) He wants to be everything you need, but he's very good about not overdoing it or overstepping boundaries.

Luca is very much an acts of service and quality time man when it comes to relationships, so there's not a chance in hell that you'd ever be forced into the therapist friend role. He'll probably have a problem with others treating you like that, as well. And unfortunately, Luca definitely doesn't shy away from confrontation when he sees if weighing on you. In the moments where the both of you are going through something tough behind closed doors, you'd be able the comfort the other in a way that doesn't leave either of you to take the brunt of the emotions.

Ask him to braid your hair for you! Please! I don't think he knows how initially, but he absolutely starts learning for you the minute you ask him about it. It's a small act that he can do for you, and it almost feels like he can braid in all of his affection and good will, which I think would make him feel better when he can't be around you for a while. He also keeps one of your hair ties on his wrist, just in case.

Also, how ironic is it that you're obsessed with unabridged fairy tales and then end up with the most Disney Prince lookin' ass in the whole franchise? He loves that you like telling him about your favorite things, and he'd get a lot of comfort just from listening to you ramble about it, even if it's the bloody and disturbing topic of unabridged fairy tales. All-in-all, I think this would be a really happy pair!

DARCY TELL US ABOUT AOEDE....

!!! Thank you for asking!!!

Aoede is my Warrior of Light in Final Fantasy 14!! She's on Ultros in Primal. The main classes I play are paladin and machinist, although I'm also leveling up the other tank classes

I'll put info about her below but here's her adventurer plate portrait and a drawing I did of her with her the hairstyle she had in stormblood (I have not yet learned to gpose. but one day I will. then I will take Good Photos)

So! Aoede! To be honest, her name comes from me trying to make my character before my friend logged off for the night and I chose it without looking at the lore for miqo'te, but I've managed to work it into her backstory. I haven't really settled everything in her backstory yet as I'm still working through endwalker, but I'm slowly figuring things out. I've never actually explained one of my character's backstories before, so I apologize if it's a bit awkward;;

Aoede is a 26-year-old (24 at the start of ARR, I figure the story probably takes place over 2 to 3 years) adventurer hailing from Sharlyan; she's an archon with her archon tattoos located between her shoulder blades. She's half-seeker and half-keeper and does have fangs (even though I don't know how to mod and can't add them in the game); her family is originally from Ilsabard and they sent Aoede to Sharlyan so she wouldn't be forced to fight for Garlemald. She writes letters to them regularly, and for most of the story, I figured they were going to be fine because I wasn't really planning for her to have a tragic backstory but. I've gotten to a certain part in endwalker and I really don't think they had a radio. So they might not be okay.

She takes her last name "Labelle" from her guardian in Sharlyan, a middle-aged man named Pascal Labelle, who became a friend of her family when he worked as a gleaner before he became an archon (he's another oc of mine! he's just a nice dude). Pascal basically raised her for a good portion of her life and they have a father-daughter relationship, so she decided to primarily use his family name. Her full last name is Aoede Labelle-Lhellhethi, or Aoede Labelle for short. Her field of study is horticulture, with a specific emphasis on farming in unideal environments, such as places with poor soil or that are constantly snowing.

She took up the sword so she could protect herself while traveling, she never really learned how to use magic so instead focused on swordplay and eventually learning how to use a gun.

Generally speaking, she's a very kind-hearted person who trusts others too easily. She'll go along with almost anything if she thinks the person suggesting it has good intentions, which is sort of how she became a scion. She's naturally a very quiet person with an intense gaze and when she does speak she normally shares her opinion without thinking of the consequences. Aoede also rushes into things head first; she's the kind of person who tries to help others even when it costs her dearly. She becomes much more cautious and to a degree pessimistic after the events of ARR, but her mental health improves slowly throughout the other expansions, even though it does get worse for a while after several events. Out of the scions, she gets along best with Minfilia, G'raha, Krile, Alphinaud, and Alisae. She gets along well with the others, but she doesn't really mesh well with Thancred at times (she just doesn't know how to talk to him and he doesn't really talk to her much, they don't dislike each other).

There's a good bit more but this has already gotten pretty long! I don't think I explained her personality as well as I would have liked, but it's fine. Thank you for asking about her, I love her dearly and one day I hope I can commission some artwork of her.

I need advice. My friend and I used to rp a lot but I’ve kinda grown out of it and into new hobbies. My friend has not though and still wants to with me. I’m fine with doing it sometimes if something really interests me or if the mood happens to strike. In those cases I have a lot of fun and love it! theres a problem though; I like her old characters more than the new ones she’s made. They’re way more interest than than her current ones who are, I’m sorry, but very boring. I can’t just tell her that I don’t like them. We’re very close, and she holds these characters near and dear so if I were to say I wasn’t a fan she would be devastated. Worse yet, but she’s also dealing with the recent loss of a close friend. This has made things harder because I feel I can’t tell her anything while she’s grieving. The more she brings up these characters though the more I wish I could confess that I don’t like them, and don’t have fun when we write with them. I just want to have fun again but every time she brings up rp I dread it since I know she’ll bring up these characters. This issue has been going on for maybe a year or so.

Alright, OP - I'm basically going to tell you what I'd do if I were in your shoes. This might not work for you (because you're not me) but I hope it will help a little. And if not, maybe some of our followers will have some alternate suggestions.

First off, a lot of my answer is going to be based on the fact that you've stated this person is a close friend. How I would deal with this situation would be different if that weren't the case.

I don't have a lot of close friends, so the ones I do have mean a lot to me and I have a tendency to cater to them because I like seeing them happy. What I would do first is look at these new characters and try to figure out why I wasn't having as much fun with them. You call them 'boring,' but don't elaborate on that. (Which is fine - that's not really a detail I need in order to offer my advice.) But, for yourself, you should try to figure out why these new characters don't elicit the same reaction from you. Different/Unfamiliar fandom?  Your characters aren’t meshing well with these new ones?  Flat or non-existent backstories? Good backstories, but they have elements that just don't interest you?  

Acknowledging what you find boring will help with the next step - finding a way to make them not boring anymore. If it's a new fandom you're not familiar with try reading up on it and look for elements that -do- interest you. If there's really nothing that grabs you, maybe try to focus on getting these new characters into some AU fandom settings that you find more interesting.

If your current characters aren’t meshing, then why not try to make some new ones?  I know that’s not always easy to do; creating new OCs can be time consuming (and sometimes stressful) but if having new characters to play with against your friend’s new characters might make a difference, then it’s worth a shot.

If the issue is flat backstories, then start asking your friend questions about their new characters. Even if they haven’t thought about what you’re asking, this will give them opportunity to think about it.  You’ll be encouraging them to expand on and flesh out their characters without ever saying they’re boring.  And maybe those conversations will create/build more interest for you, too.  In addition, from what I’ve found, sometimes just talking about characters and chatting about plots, etc. can act as a good substitute for actual roleplaying.

The last situation - good (but uninteresting) backstories - is probably the hardest to deal with.  But because this person is a close friend I would try to find ways to keep myself interested.  I wouldn’t force it - that’s never a good idea and can lead to resentment and burnout, but I would work really hard to find elements I could enjoy.  Possibly via alternate universe ideas, or maybe by requesting plotting ideas/tropes I know I enjoy.  For the sake of my friend, I would try to find some way to make things work.

a.k.a in which i try to write stuff that i haven’t already ranted about in the tags of the original post

1.it’s always summer in the songs ☀️ | AH YES. this one. the one that i will always bring up whenever i get asked these sort of things. i think i’ve talked about it in the tags but i like this piece even more because all the characters here (brienne, jaime, honor) were actually drawn in detail--as in--i drew everyone separately then joined them altogether--AS IN--the parts that are covered up by another character is actually drawn with its own detailing and all that jazz. this is specifically towards honor who a.) i’ve never drawn before and i had never been confident to draw animals so i actually had to draw a FULL HORSE this time which was daunting and had to size him appropriately b.) the outfit he wears, straps for the saddle, his belts, etc. they all have their own detailing! jaime’s sitting on it, but there’s actually a sash that loops around his back with the symbols of the seven pointed star. i was going to continue over on the front with the same symbols but it got cut out because of the crop. the little tree on the side/foreground originally had more branches and leaves but i just pushed it to the side else wise it would’ve looked awkward. i also designed j/b’s armor while i was working on this, and jaime’s detailing took me a lil while to figure out because i was referencing loosely off like, 5 images lol. brienne’s face angle was hard to get right and it looked awkward in my sketches but i got lucky with it in the end aaand this was also the first time i drew oathkeeper in detail. overall, i put a LOT of details in this one but it just took me a good three days to finish it. i loved it even more because i never felt like i was slogging through it when i was working on it, which is the most important thing haha. 

2. might i have this dance, my lady? | this one is particularly special for me since this is when i finalized their overall design i think. i used to always bring up this drawing as a reference when i draw my j/b (but now i use another one hehe.) anyway, this one was actually the starting point for the one i drew above because of the detailing on jaime’s armor--which i just drew freely and doesn’t have any symbolic meaning behind it whatsoever. this was the start of me adding more and more details into my art because i realized that they weren’t too hard to add and i do enjoye drawing them. i also like this one because i drew brienne’s body in detail and i spent the time drawing up silhouettes over it to find the most flattering dress i can fit her in, and i’m happy i struck with this one! oh and it’s subtle but i tried to make their outfits match with the gold detailing on jaime’s armor/the light yellow accents on brienne’s blue dress hehe. 

3. i’ve known the warmth of your doorways | my quiet isle riighhhtsssss. i screeched while i was thinking up of the concept of this tbh it hit me good. i particularly LOVE oathkeeper in this one because he looks like an expensive sword here and not like one of those pens with an animal topper. anyway, i love post adwd / post lsh fics so i tried to do a rendition of my own uvu i also love hand kisses---and honessstlyyyyy-- this one is just a mashup of my favorite tropes tbh LOL

4. ICHOR | oh my god a non jb art. i did this one a couple of years ago, and it’s a digital painting of my oc amara !!! i like this one because of how I rendered the hair. some of it reminds me of marble and i love it even to this day--which is particularly rare because i always end up hating my shit a couple on months after. this was the art style i had before, but i just changed it when i started to draw jb because this one was complicated to do + it took too much time, and i wanted to draw a LOT of jb lol (and i don’t think the style fits them as well to be honest)

5. that gym scene in modern aus | back to jb arts!! and AH yes from brienne’s physique, jaime’s slutty crop top, the man bun, mesh leggings, and their dumb rainbow guard and kingsguard designs, this one was incredibly self indulgent and i love everything it implies and represents. fun fact i had to go through so many thirst traps in ig just to draw jaime’s body properly LOL i do my research ok

Day 3 of my @khoc-week​ catch up!

  Friends or Lovers? Show and tell who your OC is familiar with! Any friends? A Significant Other? Or maybe an enemy? Draw a picture of them with their best friend(s), enemy, or special someone! Or write a one shot about them interacting or going on a mission together. 

OH BOY I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS. But I wanted to focus on two relationships in particular with Atlas - that with his mentor/father figure Wynter and that with his two best friends Kei and Quest (who were briefly shown in yesterday’s prompt!). family figures weren’t really in the prompt but I went with it anyways because I HAVE to talk about Wynter. 

Wynter is the reason that heartsmiths exist, he’s an incredibly powerful magic user. He’s also the reason Atlas is even alive, so of course he’s an important figure in Atlas’s life. Including Atlas’s wonderland background which he doesn’t recall, Wynter is the only father figure he’s ever had. Atlas loves Wynter. However, there was a big strain on their relationship during the time leading up to the keyblade war.

Readmore time

Wynter is a keyblade user. I’ve done a piece of him with his keyblade here, besides probably MoM, he’s probably the eldest keyblade wielder in Daybreak Town. However he doesn’t use his keyblade for fighting heartless  on a normal basis as it has a very specific trait. It can freeze someone’s heart in time. Thus the name ‘hand of time’. A theme of Wynter’s character is that he’s stuck in time and not able to move forward and his keyblade and it’s power are a reflection of that and how his heart is stagnant - which is like a punch to the gut when MoM is explaining all of this to him (MoM and Wynter are like old buds).

As the keyblade war draws closer it becomes clear why Wynter was given this particular keyblade with this particular power. He aims to have Atlas survive the keyblade war through freezing his heart and body in time. He knows of the dandelions via Quest (who was chosen to be apart of the dandelions - but more on that when i get to him and kei), and wants to freeze Atlas in time and then let the dandelions/Ava know of his location so after the danger has passed they can retrieve him. But things never go as planned. 

Atlas refused, almost violently so, when the idea was brought up. In the end. Quest and Kei had to hold Atlas down while Wynter stabbed him with his keyblade. Hence the below picture (which was like one of the first i drew with atlas ever - and of wynter’s keyblade it’s changed a bit since this look):

As one can imagine, this wasn’t great on their relationship. In Atlas’s main story, he ends up drifting with the heartsmith’s shop/forge in the space between (being a ‘mini world’ in its own right), Wynter’s notes being scattered to the worlds (like ansem’s reports - and his notes on heartsmithing is a precursor to keyblade armor being made, but that’s an entirely different ramble), and doesn’t awake until the guardians of light find him 1000+ years later. 

After awaking he has so many mixed emotions about his mentor. He’s angry that Wynter took the opportunity for him to help wielders away, he’s angry that he was pretty much forced to have a keyblade he never wanted (in stabbing atlas with the keyblade, atlas pretty much became the successor to it), and being left all alone without his friends or his family was just...sad. He blamed Wynter and his two best friends for the longest time.

REWIND A SEC AND I’LL TALK ABOUT ATLAS, KEI, AND QUEST. 

I have dubbed them the ‘ribbon trio’ as their design all involve ribbons. my sister has also affectionally called them the ‘rose buds’ because of this picture below and thinking on it, it fits because of Atlas’s past with wonderland, Quest being from Beast’s Castle, and Kei’s family being florists.

As mentioned above, Quest is from Beast’s Castle. His parents died during the plague and he had been having a rough childhood when he was given the power of the keyblade and was able to go to daybreak town and join a union. Considering the state he was in (practically skin and bones), Gula was surprised when he appeared and wanted to join Leopardos. He had to be nursed back to a fighting health but when he was able he became a party leader and lead the party the Chevaliers (I did a photoset of them here).

Kei is from daybreak town and her family are the local florists (see a picture of her and her sibs here). She was the only one gifted with the power of the keyblade and felt the need to become stronger and stronger so she could protect her family - and so she joined Ursus. She’s known as a ‘party hopper’ because as soon as she thought she learned all she could from a party - or if she became the most powerful one in a party - she left in search of new challenges.

They both met Atlas via the heartsmith shop, and while kei and quest didn’t quite see eye to eye at first - Atlas was the glue that kept them together and eventually they became closer and could consider eachother friends aswell. 

Leading up to the keyblade war, the one chosen to become a dandelion was Quest. He was extremely torn over it, not sure what to say or what to do. Some dandelions mentioned that it might be useful to have a heartsmith with them because ‘who knows what could happen’ so Quest asked Ava about Atlas joining. However only keyblade wielders could join - so Quest left to ask Wynter if he planned to pass his keyblade onto Atlas, if he became a wielder then he could become a dandelion. 

He was explaining this to Atlas when Kei suddenly appeared and started an argument about Quest picking Atlas over her- and why she wasn’t chosen to be in this special group of wielders. This caused a huge rift between the three. Atlas became too busy with wielders flooding into the heartsmiths shop for repairs and upgrades before the war to really tackle the issue - but Kei and Quest were at odds for quite some time. Eventually they came to terms with eachother and the problem at hand -- and they both quit their unions to become heartsmiths instead. 

pictured in the main photo at the bottom is sort of what directly came after that - Wynter stating his plan to freeze Atlas in time and Atlas retaliating. Quest and Kei both agreed it was for the best, and that they would do their best to become even half the heartsmith that Atlas was. But of course Atlas still wasn’t having it - and to save their friend from the war they held him down in a chair while Wynter stabbed him with the keyblade.

The two of them then had a crash course of how to be a heartsmith and not long after the war happened. 

I feel like I should say it doesn’t end well for any of them. 

Wynter dies before the war even begins. He uses the last of his strength from non stop weeks of working to send the heartsmith shop into the space between after Kei and Quest leave - has enough time to reach his twin sister Crystal (who is the local baker), then dies in her arms. 

Kei and Quest both die on the battle field - Kei dies protecting Quest dies protecting a wielder (I’ve plotted it out with friends that he protects the player character pretty much and it’s the reason that the dandelions are able to reach them in time). Kei and Quest’s hearts however find themselves at the heartsmith shop in the space between - and for those 1000 + years, they protect Atlas.

However they get corrupted over time and become phantoms which is where the darkling like designs i made come into play. When the guardians of light reach the shop - they have to fight passed Kei and Quest to get to atlas because they’re still trying to protect Atlas even if they’ve been lost to the darkness. 

Kei and Quest are freed from the darkness after they are defeated, and they stay long enough to see atlas being awoken before vanishing from sight. 

So as you can tell ATLAS HAS A LOT OF FEELINGS AFTER WAKING UP/HIS TIME BEGINNING AGAIN. And I just....love his dynamic with his friends/mentor so much okay.

And as a fun fact - since trios sometimes have an object that’s related to them. Besides ribbons TM Atlas, Quest, and Kei all have actual keys and armbands that are personalized to them. Kei has a flower design on her key, Quest has a star design, and Atlas has a heart design. Wynter made these all from them - and they’re literally all keys to the heartsmtih shop. Atlas was given one at first but when it was clear how close he was to Quest and Kei, Wynter made the other two keys by hand and gave them to the two. Kei suggested the armbands and Quest found them and atlas fashioned the chains they all hang off of. 

Now I’ve rambled enough about that ONTO CANON CHARACTERS.

Sadly the above picture took me forever and I don’t have the energy to draw much else but here’s a small comic I made for a friend when we were plotting things together - because of course Atlas knows Ventus and they probably have a deep connection even if Ven doesn’t remember him. Sadly I never finished this comic but maybe one day....

and honestly I could ramble for hours about how Atlas would mesh well with a lot of the canon KH characters. He’s literally a therapist, it’s his job to talk to people and help them through problems AND BOY DO WE KNOW THE CANON KH PEEPS GOT SOME TRAUMA. and he’d want to help all of them the best he could. I can see him and Riku getting close especially. And he would definitely want to talk with Aqua after all of her time in the realm of darkness. 

as a small bonus have the first picture I ever drew of the ribbon trio+ wynter together! Their designs haven’t changed much since this - aside from a few small things. I think the major things that changed is that atlas doesn’t wear his glasses on a normal basis and both Quest’s and Wynter’s hair is longer.

HOW I RUN MY BLOG.

SPEED: i ... uhh well it depends. if im in the zone i can volley back and forth pretty fast. but i do get tired of it after a while and there is no real formula for figuring out what a while is lol. when it comes to not being in the zone... well i take my time and only reply when i feel i can. i work 40 hrs a week at a crazy job that leaves me going fdkljdlgfdjlgf all the time but i AM on new meds that might help me be faster. so the answer is SHRUGS

REPLIES: ehhh. sometimes the shorter the better bc i like a lot of dialogue. i’ve always been like.. more screenwriter-y in the sense that if the actions are short and sweet with good dialogue then it helps me visualize it like a movie in my head. however there are times i enjoy more descriptive prose but the tone varies per thread. in general you can expect most of the narrative captured is a reflection of how ridiculous it is that donald is thor is donald, you know? so anyway whatever you wanna reply with is fine. icons? sure. no icons? also sure. idc my dudes. formatted? whatever man.

WISHLIST: dang i wish i could come up with like... a running arc of a story i could play through out this blog with all characters... idk, it’s mostly on me to come up with something good. my other wish is for ppl who have read my bio and understand who my thor is to show that they know that thru what their character observes abt thor. like ppl who come in writing against me thinking this is regular thor make me :( 

HONEST NOTE: i am on new medication that has changed my mood/ability to stay up and do things like crazy. so far so good but i can’t predict how i’ll settle into it. it’s only been about two weeks. if it remains good then i might be around as much as possible but there are def. times when i’ll be absent as fuck for a week or something

Ok I didn't understand anything of this Flight Rising business other than that it's about dragons so would you like to talk about your dragon au Kazutake and Wario? Maybe with 5, 39 and 45 and/or something else if you want to get something out :D

Flight Rising is a dragon petsite (kind of like what Neopetsis except with dragons) that has a lot of really cool lore and worldbuilding,so it essentially became an outlet for another AU for me. //bricked Most of my lairconsists of Boueibu dragons and their children (because I have no chill), butthere are some OCs as well and they’re all extremely special to me~

I have a lot of posts in my FlightRising tag, which is pretty much all worldbuilding and character notes forthis AU, but if you want the gist of it you can read thefirst post I made about it (with a lot of helpful links introducing theconcept) and thisother post that kinda explains some more about it (with more helpfullinks).

In this AU, Chikuis a type of dragon called a Fae and Wariois a Mirrordragon. They are a mated pair and they’ve successfully had a nest of 4beautiful children whom they love very dearly~ Because that was part of my plangoing into this, Chiku is a female Fae and Wario is a male Mirror. (I chose thebreeds, but I let the genders and elements of the dragons for this AU bedictated by chance based on what was available in the Auction House at the timeand that’s how it turned out.) You can read more about them in their linkedbios if you’re curious. There isn’t much there at the moment, but it gives youa basic idea of their roles in the AU and how their relationship works. ^^

Also, I swear I didn’t forget about this. I was having sometrouble flexing my brain for Wario at one point, but @purplerose128 helped me figure it out.

5. List 3 fears; one“surface level” fear, one “repressed” fear, and one “deep dark” fear.

Chiku has many fears, but one surface level fear is probablybeing around much larger dragons. Faes are very tiny (one of the smallestbreeds) and she’s kind of easy for other dragons to intentionally overlook tobegin with… so it wouldn’t be too hard for a larger breed to accidentally sit/stepon her because they “didn’t see her” or something like that. Also, onthat note, Imperials terrify her because of their sheer size (considering theyare the largest breed, essentially giants compared to every other breed) and ifone sneezes or coughs in her direction she could get launched across theregion. (Also, I’m sure she’s lowkey-highkey scared of one accidentallyinhaling her.)

One of Chiku’s repressed fears, which became a deep darkfear for a while, was realized when she and Wario were planning to make a nesttogether. She had been terrified that she would never be able to find or have afamily that would accept and appreciate her. Her own birth family treated heras something flawed and abnormal, so who would even want her?

At first, she was thrilled and overwhelmed with joy whenWario expressed interest in starting a family with her because it was all sheever wanted. But then it started sinking in more and she began to fear that shemight not live up to Wario’s expectations of her as a mother. What if sheproduced an odd number of eggs and he got upset? What if there was somethingwrong with the children and he blamed her because she wasn’t as perfect as hethought she was? She had never been able to live up to anyone’s positiveexpectations of her before. All she ever did was disappoint and Wario believedin her so much that she was terrifiedof the risk of letting him down. But most of all, she was worried that thiswouldn’t be the happy family she wanted for herself, for her children… forall of them.

Of course, the fear subsided when she laid four eggs andeventually all of them hatched and Wario was happy even though there wasn’t aneven split of Faes and Mirrors, proving that Wario loved them anyway becausethe fact that this was their familymade it perfect. All fears reassured.

Wario, on the other hand, is afraid of curses and cursedobjects… which there just so happens to be plenty of in Sornieth. The clanhoard alone has a surprising amount of ominous trinkets lying around, some ofwhich no one is quite sure of the origin of. The energy emitting from themdoesn’t mix well with his own and he is put off by the knowledge that suchthings exist in a concentrated location. Every time someone drags one of thosestrange objects in from a day of gathering, he eyes them warily from a safedistance because it makes his skin crawl in all kinds of unpleasant ways.

Unfortunately, Wario has a similar background of not fittingin with his birth clan or his own breed. He already didn’t fit in with otherMirrors because of his quirks/habits making him practically impossible to workwith and his birth clan didn’t trust him for similar reasons. So, after acertain point, he just decided he was better off alone. He left them first before they could leave himand told himself it was his own decision, repressing a fear that he will be abandonedby any clan he tries to call his own in the process, even though he couldalready tell they didn’t want anything to do with him. Now that he has found aclan and a family that actually accepts him, this fear could creep up at any timebecause it’s there below the surface waiting to bubble up at the slightestdoubt that formulates in his brain.

But Wario’s deep dark fear that he hasn’t quite fully acknowledgedto himself yet is losing Chiku and being unable to see any beauty or balance inthe world again. Chiku hasn’t been a cure-all for his habits, but she has madethem easier to live with by being a positive influence on him. She calms hismind in a way just by being by his side. But in the back of his mind, he fearsthat maybe it really isn’t possiblefor him to feel this way forever – because how can he fight off the only thinghe’s ever known when it’s still very much a big part of his life? – and one dayhe might let his habits get in the way at the expense of his loved ones.

39. Have they everbeen accused of something they didn’t do?

Considering they are both oddballs of their breeds, it wouldhave been very easy to blame them for anything that went wrong, mostly due tocommunication issues.

In Chiku’s case, dragons of other breeds tend to ignore herand go out of their way to avoid interactions with her at all costs. Faes arehard for other breeds to understand to begin with because of their monotonespeech and all of their expression being conveyed with their crests, but Chiku beingeven more monotone and less expressive than the average Fae makes her almostimpossible to communicate with. Most dragons are unsettled by this and don’thave the time (or patience) to dedicate to figuring her out, so they just…don’t.

Other Faes tend to find her weird and unsettling because shedoesn’t communicate very well, so Chiku usually ends up feeling like she’sscreaming from inside a box and no one can hear her. No matter what she does,she just can’t get through to anyone and she kind of stopped trying after apoint, which just made things easier for others to say “oh, she’s not normal. she can’t even speak right. she must have messed upsomehow.”

As for Wario, he doesn’t get along with anyone. He doesn’tget along with other breeds, especially in mixed clans, because they’re all toodifferent in size, diet, and aesthetic sense (among other things). And thisunsettles him greatly because he can’t understand how creatures that seeminglydon’t mesh well would want to spendtime in the same proximity. But he doesn’t even get along with his own breed, which is very unusual for aMirror, since Mirrors prefer to live and hunt in packs together rather thanbeing alone… except Wario refuses to join a pack where the number is continuouslyshifting, and he doesn’t like constantly being on the move and having to buildtemporary lairs that break down too easily, and it’s impossible for him to bearound strongly aggressive personalities like his own without getting into afight… so he prefers to be alone than deal with the added frustration ofother dragons.

Mirrors that pick up on these quirks/behaviors of his tendto avoid him because they also would prefer not to deal with him on a regularbasis or at all. And other dragons find him unpleasant to be around: some areintimidated by his mere presence while others just outright don’t like hisattitude or think he’s too complicated to try reasoning with. And this makes Warioan excellent scapegoat for anything that goes wrong as well. Something weird orunfortunate happens to the clan hoard or one of the lairs? Just blame the angryguy over there. He probably got irritated and wrecked it to “prove hispoint” or something.

45. What is theemotion they most commonly experience?

For the most part, Chiku is overwhelmed with a forebodingsense of shame and hopelessness born from being “abnormal” and feelinglike she has no impact on the world around her. And Wario, being a naturallyaggressive and off-kilter individual, tends to be stuck in a loop offrustration and anger because seemingly everything agitates him. Once they getto know each other and become mates, they help each other work on these issues,but it’s still hard to beat. At least they make each other happy.

I'm just really curious (don't have to answer if this is a spoiler) but you said once that Prilana had to shut down ELE? Why? And for some more character stuff.... Which OC is your favorite to write, and which one would be your favorite to actually meet? What would a conversation with them be like? Which OC do you think you would NOT get along with?

Okay, so for the answer to the first one, I’ll be honest, I’ve changed Prilana’s backstory a little bit so things might not quite mesh out the way they did when I first did it, so if there’s plot holes please tell me and I will fix them.

So, Prilana served faithfully as a technician under her sister, Leana, after her time in the military. During this period she modified Servux droids as well as war machines, databases, starships, and other equipment. She also tinkered around in her free time; trying to build her own line of Servux models that would be unlike anything anyone had seen before.

But we know that Prilana was not faithful as she appeared, and she was already plotting to see how she could infiltrate Leana’s retinue and bring them down from the inside. She designed three Servuxes for this purpose; PR-6-13, a battle-droid unlike any of her kind, PR-6-14, initially a navigator but switched to a diplomatic associate later on, and PR-6-15, a collaborative operator and navigation droid. 

She offered these droids to serve members of Leana’s retinue. PR-6-13 (known later as ELE) was issued to her military adviser and commanding officer, PR-6-14 to the ambassador to the alien colony on one of the moons, and PR-6-15 to her associate in charge of biplanetary affairs. 

After this Prilana went about staging a rebellion, with her loyal underlings successfully infiltrating their hosts. 15 didn’t make it to the rebellion, as she had to be shut down due to a severe defect, and 14′s part of the plan failed. Only ELE conducted her part adequately. She killed her Keeper and her Keeper’s family and went out to meet Prilana’s small army and fight beside them, which she did, and beautifully. 

Unfortunately ELE was damaged to the point of being inoperable during the rebellion, and for fear of someone taking apart her droid and finding out her role in organizing the event, Prilana dismantled her mind and removed all memory and damaged part of the inner cortex. Then she had her disposed of, on the furthest part of Thren she could find. Unfortunately for Prilana, Keeva lived there, and found a damaged but intact Servux droid while scavenging in the Braccan dumping site looking for parts to fix the Solar Day. She took her home, fixed her up as a project, and the rest is history. 

Other questions:

Which OC is my favorite to write? Pika or 14, probably.

Which would I like to actually meet? I’d love to meet Djunn. He’s so familiar to me at this point that he holds a special space in my heart.

What would a conversation with them be like? He’d probably ask how my body functions (he’s a biologist) and try to figure out the different properties of Earth’s flora and fauna and how they differ from the ones on his homeworld, or on the two planets. 

What OC would I not get along with? Hmm... I don’t actually know! I think Pika would be hard to talk to. Not difficult to get along with per se, but hard to have a conversation with.

Okay, I hate it when people RP one thread with me, find something they don’t like, and just block me on the spot. It might not even be anything problematic. Or, if they tell me “things aren’t working”, but refuse to tell me why with my prodding.  I get that certain people cannot explain why they want distance between me and them in a way that is mentally safe for them to do, but it can trigger my own mental “quirks” (for lack of therapist-given diagnosis), and then I feel this strange sense of shame whenever I see their username... which doesn’t really help that I normally feel like a complete monstrous bitch as soon as I say a word to anyone.

That took a while, but that’s what that symbol is for.

I love it so much when people take a small city, or some corner of the world, and collect all there is to know about it to make an OC for this fandom. It’s so wonderful to figure out how muns like [you] find this interest and foster it so lovingly into something so orchestrated. Nonna’s a total sweet bean... but that’s not all- I love how in-control she is over her life and what she wants. It’s really refreshing to find such a regal and yet kind character, especially one so round and dynamic. It’s kinda really feminist feeling and I so dig it.

guila is 16 (and most likely a lesbian... but that’s all but confirmed, so it’s irrelevant for the time being) so can we like, not pass her around to ship her with grown men? even if it’s neither of the ones who used and manipulated her in the canon? i’m exhausted. when will people who claim to like guila actually respect her, lol. it’s like people love the idea of guila more than her actual character. maybe it’s the cute outfits and the thigh-high boots.

she gets repeatedly used in the canon and in the fandom, talk about a meta joke. 

there are plenty of other characters that are more fitting to play around with, especially in nnt. maybe try to be a little less distasteful. or, at least maybe pick somebody who hasn’t been getting the same stuff handed to her in the actual story. she’s young. most of her major character arcs in the actual narrative are centered around her being misused by older men, and how it’s something wrong and something that doesn’t ‘fit her person,’ so to speak. 

you’ve got the father figure who manipulated and blackmailed her (while also occasionally flirting with her), the implication she had (at the very least) been taunted by older men growing up because of her father’s betrayal, and you’ve got the literal case of her being brainwashed into a relationship with an older man (in order for her to ‘be fixed.’) but y’all are gonna do her like that that in your free time? it’s the same kind of treatment, even if you’re shoving her with different grown men; using her for personal enjoyment or gain or whatever. but it’s so juxtaposed with the message of the canon. this girl gets used so damn much.

people sure seem to enjoy passing her around, no matter when and where it is... like, people are just so damn eager to put a not-so-flexible character into a variety of situations she’d never mesh with. this might as well be some weird as fuck social experiment at this point... i call it, the “missing the point in the name of your boring fetishes” social experiment. it’s honestly a little baffling to me.

it’s really easy to portray her wrong because of the more strict style of character writing used for her, but she has some key character points. one of the major ones being how adult men do not mix well with her, and how they’re pretty well involved with why she has trust/paranoia issues-- and that’s not even discussing the pretty obvious fucking issue of her being way younger (like, UNCOMFORTABLY younger) than most of the men in nnt, primarily the ones i’ve seen her shipped off with.

and also the fact that she’s most likely not even attracted to men in the first place. sexuality implications or not, she’s pretty venomous and rude around men-- especially older men, and she’s much nicer to girls. but that doesn’t mean you should go off and throw her around with adult women either.

but whatever, it’s fiction and all for fun and games. i definitely understand that, along with the whole disconnect between fiction and reality. but that doesn’t mean it isn’t tasteless as fuck... please, show a little dignity and respect to misused girls. especially ones written in the character arcs like the ones she’s been given. it’s all fiction and it’s not real, but it doesn’t look good for you. that’s all i’m saying.

i mean, you could always just make your own OCs if you’re just gonna butcher guila into out of character fetish fuel anyways. it’s a bad enough crime on its own to her whole character and what it stands for, but none of this trash is even in-character when i stumble across it. then again, i mean... how could it be? lol. it’s just so... yaaaaawn.

I read the rules and skimmed a bit through everything else (with me I go back several times to clarify things and whatnot) but honestly, It might be the theme– or something I dont even know XD tbh I love Pokemon OCs. Do I Want To Role Play With Them:I actually really do. I dont even know why, but I REALLY WANT TO. All the interactions. An AU Idea For Our Muses:Hmmm…. Bringing on the AU Ideas. Damn, I have so many, where to even begin. Hmmm… oh!! How about an element bending AU ( kinda like ATLA but lets just ignore the fact that there is one avatar and that everybody could actually train to bend all the elements if they trained well enough XD ) 

Anyway. so yea, Red’s particularly well versed in the elements and sub-elements (so like ice, thunder, metal, etc) You know maybe we could have it so the elements range from the many pokemon elements – with the main elements being Water, Grass, Ground, Flying/Air, and Fire. We’d probably have to exclude Fighting only because the fighting type would probably be incorporated in al the other types. ANYWAYYY back on track.Red is obviously already gonna be mastered in many of the elements– not that he has mastered them, its just that he literally is just a natural in all types (he’d probably be really good with the Ghost/Psychic elements, mainly because I have him set an aura user and he gets ‘high’ off of ghosts in his main canon lmaoooo I have to bring up those head canons for you sometime). Clearly Silas would be well in tune with fire, but he probably has a hard time dealing with elements that aren’t well for the Fire element because fire isn’t good with these specific elements (so Water, Earth, Ground, and even metal and Ice etc, you get the point yes?) maybe he also has a problem controlling the fire. IDK maybe the fire sometimes gets out of control. IDK thats really up to you.

Anyway so now that we have the idea and concept set, maybe they could interact in this AU in some sort of way. I mean in this AU, Red would have an easier time communicating with Silas. Maybe not telepathically speaking, but the idea could probably get the point across easier. Also, depending on how well the personalities of our muses, maybe they’d actually mesh well together and maybe Red could be a peer in helping Silas with his element bending problems. Maybe Red can see the potential in Silas’ ability with fire bending and actually helps him just concentrate on that specific element rather than trying to help him with the other elements – maybe even to the point where they both figure out how to use fire to defeat water and other elements fire is weak to (duh make the fire so hot that the water evaporates XD lol jk jk its probably would me more intricate than that)

1. who is the hardest character for you to write? Oh gods, it's gotta be Gar. I don't do the Spontaneous Goofy Silly thing. I just have absolutely no idea how to write a goofball because I really don't connect to Being a goofball whatsoever, especially one who's So Totally Opposite of myself. Although, if OCs count, it might also be Kary, because she's also spontaneous, but she's pretty rage-y about it and has a VERY sour attitude towards strangers, she's totally silly and teasing around friends, flirty around cute people-- she just takes a lot of energy to keep up with.

2. who is the easiest character for you to write? Dove? Does Dove count? Because she's my OC baby and I've written more for her than any other character in any universe. But if OCs don't count, it's gotta be Raven. I can write for HOURS about things like empathy, meditation, reading, the ins and outs of what emotional control does to your mind and relationships, and having A Dark Side that you're too compassionate to ever give in to. I've spent more than 15 years of my life obsessed with her, analyzing her, noticing her traits and extrapolating as much as I can based on a wealth of canon glimpses into her deeper layers. She's the character I "get" more than any other character aside from the ones that spawned from my own head.

3. How do you know if your writing is “in character”? If I can read the dialogue and hear it in their voice, I've got 'em down. c: I overanalayze a LOT about the characters: their phrasing and linguistic quirks especially, but also their actions, their motivations, their personality-- though, to be fair, Marv Wolfman did a lot of Deep Dives into what makes each character tick, which makes writing fanfic for the Titans a bit of a cakewalk. It's still tricky, especially given that I write in a sort of amalgam universe stuck between the comics and cartoon, so characterization is always a bit of a gray area. But I can generally tell if Something Is Off about a line or action. Don't always know how to fix it, though...

With only such very, very RARE exception. Some scenes are inspired by my own experience, some are inspired by other media (even if I didn't really enjoy it, if I liked a particular line of thought, a scene might sprout from that planted seed). The Final Journey was heavily inspired by a book called Toes by Tor Seidler, at least the very last part of the book.

I have no fucking idea where DDD came from though, that one honestly just spiraled way out of Dove's control, and then out of MY control, and the entire writing process was just a desperate scramble to capture her breakdown and PRAY she'd get out of all this madness alive. Yes, my own experience informed HOW to write about it, what it might feel like, but the idea for "Dove slips up So Fucking Badly she kills people"? What the HELL.

5. Do you tell the people in your life that you write fics? Everyone who's REALLY close to me knows about Dove. Some of them know about Srentha and Kary, I think few of them know about Leyla... I tell everyone I'm a writer though. And if they ask, I will proudly proclaim that I write fanfics about my original characters.

6. What has been the hardest fit for you to write? "Fic", I think that's supposed to say? But uhhhh, probably DDD. Watching Dove go through that has been... really rough. Really, really REALLY rough. (To put it into perspective, I used to write for 3-7 stories every single week. But once DDD started going downhill hard, about the time Dove's first victim happened, I became absolutely OBSESSED with figuring out how she gets out of it.

7. What fic of yours makes you the most emotional? Honestly, that depends entirely on my mood. Lovey-dovey mood? Probably either all the fluff of secretshipping, or the tragedy in Spellbound pt. II. Self-doubt and PTSD? Raven's counsel at the end of DDD. Mystical or spiritual mood? The Final Journey because of Dove being guided by Azar.

8. What is a scene you wrote that you are most proud of? Holy hells bells, the climax scene in DDD! The battle! Between a really powerful empath and a totally unhindered telepath! In a mindscape! I haven't managed to make myself really proud of the ~style~, but the CREATIVITY. The "weapons" they used! The scenery! The escalation, the drama, the consummation of everything Dove had been fighting and Raven had been fighting with her over, and then the ENDING? Gods. Writing such an abstract battle scene was a HUGE challenge, because I've never seen any precedents for it. But I really, really love the way it came out.

9. Is there one character that you refuse to write? why? ...Rrrronaldo? Not that I've done much of anything with my SU ideas, but his arrogance and Totally Missing the Real Actual Meaning of things would probably just make me angry. Come to think of it, that's also the reason I refuse to put Terra in my stories. (Aside from the fact that I would go fucking insane from trying to figure out what the HELL her mindset is alone, what's her plan, what the hell did "Things Change" mean, etc. I just can't do it for her. And I don't forgive her.)

10. When you write fics, how much of canon are you willing to ignore/skip over? Veeeery, very little. I only have Three Anti-Canon Rules in my fanfics: 1.) The Brotherhood of Evil wasn't able to break an ancient and powerful curse that took Raven A FUCKING WEEK to LEARN how to break! So Malchior can't have been released by them. 2.) Sons of Trigon was a bad fanfic and doesn't exist in canon. I absolutely 10000% refuse to acknowledge anything in that story. And 3.) We don't talk about Things Change.

11. Do you prefer to be cold or hot when you write? Oh, cold, absolutely. I've written in an 85F room with two cups of ice water and three fans before, so it's not like I can't write in the heat when I'm really inspired, but I'm so sensitive to heat that I have passed out while sitting when it was just 75F outside. But cold... Cold I can THRIVE in.

12. What is your ideal writing area? My room. Somewhere quiet, peaceful, calm, separated, and where I know I won't have people trying to read over my shoulders.

13. How do you come up with your titles? I try very, very hard and hope I've come up with something that Sounds Nice AND Makes Sense. (I'm still debating the title of "Fire and Flight: The Keys to Igniting a Pacifist Heart". 'Flight' because that's what Srentha's name means, and it's his debut story, but like.... Fire only means Devastating Things to Dove, so I'm reeeeally fighting myself on that. I love the poetry in the title! But like.... couldn't the poetry be a little less devastating? But my brain refuses to spit anything else out. And also, that Day of Fire was a pretty important plotpoint, since it's the whole reason they were separated...)

14. How do you come up with chapter titles? Usually picking something that Sounds Cool and Has Relevance to the most important aspects of the chapter. I'm still really proud of calling a chapter of DDD "Sins of the Father" BEFORE Marv Wolfman used that phrase for Raven!

15. At what point in writing a fic, do you decide to quit? Who says I quit? The only way I'll quit a fic entirely is if I don't want to write it anymore. But because of the aforementioned Curiosity and Drive to Learn about what the heck is happening in these scenes in my head, that rarely ever happens. There have been exactly Three (3) fics that I quit writing. ~ 1.) The Titans/Pokemon crossover, because I realized I had no idea what to do with a Misdreavus in Titans Tower. (That one actually got published, but then deleted in a fit of Self-Consciousness because I was convinced people would find it cringey. I really wish I'd kept it because it was a cute idea, at least... and nowadays I can think of so MANY things! I never even wrote her meeting Silkie!) ~ 2.) The shameless self-insert where comic!Raven showed up in my room one day because I realized I had no plot ideas whatsoever, I really just wanted to write about meeting Raven in an actual physical sense. ~ 3.) Misery's Company, my Ruby Gloom fanfic, because frankly that was another shameless self-insert fic, and I realized I had no idea what to do once we got Misery back to Gloomsville. And then I realized I didn't have any particular motivation to even write it THAT far. I just totally lost interest. I didn't want to write about the rest of the Gloom crew. And I utterly lost touch with the magic in the show. I couldn't write in the style that meshed so WELL with that fic anymore. It's actually still up for adoption, I just have to find someone willing to actually adopt it.

16. How much of your personal life do you put into fics? Mhhhh, only as much as is relevant. Mostly writing from experience With Situations and Feelings, though I don't insert my reactions into how others would handle their experiences. DDD probably got the most so far. Although I can't lie, I've also found myself consulting some of my own experiences when writing for Raven as well. Like what empathy feels like... but it's mainly for things like Deciding Which Descriptive Words to Use.

17. What is the most supportive comment you have gotten? Ooh, that's hard! I've gotten several good reviews that really motivated me-- they were all on fanfic.net, but maybe the one that was like "The originality is too great to be lost" on DDD? Or the review I got for the Unforeseen revamp that was like "It flows like silk" and talking about how much better it was than the original!

18. What is the most negative comment you have gotten? All the accusations of Dove being a Mary Sue? Yeah. She never WAS, but I didn't know how to write a bio about her without comparing her to Raven, so nowadays I can see why they went there.

19. How do you handle negative comments? Back then, I sent a pm and asked them to clarify. Nobody ever did... 8F But nowadays I mostly just ignore it.

20. What story that you have written makes you the happiest to re-read? Either really triumphant or really soft moments. I love the gentle moments between Dove, Srentha, and Leyla. I love the plot progression in Something Special. I love the revamp of Mystery Sickness, seeing how far my writing has come. I love reading any tender scene between Srentha and Dove. Dove's memories with her mother are so formative and important and sweet and special. I love how peacefully Dove and Srentha's marriage scene came out. There are just so many that make me happy...

I also wrote a really cute scene between Steven, Lapis, and Amethyst where they made a sort of roller coaster for him because he was banned from FunLand and that's just an adorable sweet idea, but I never fully wrote it, whoops.

Unfortunately it seems it was a mixed of ideals I do not agree with and frustration which lead to the block.

a very notable one was the odd jokes about the Virgin Mary, I am not catholic but how you handled the subject was something I found very untasteful. I remember you coming to a stream and making similar off putting jokes or topics which lead me to shut it down, and it was the last straw on the camels back.

(I joke about God and Jesus, not Mary. I apologize for that. Also, I don’t know any of you well enough to know what is/ isn’t appropriate for the mood of the situation. It’s very hard to “read the room” when all I have to go on is text. I won’t know unless you tell me.)

the frustration part has to do with the roleplaying aspect, unfortunately it seems your styles did not do will for each other,on my side tho it felt like there was nothing much to work with in the replies, yes they were paragraphs most of the time but it consisted of word fluff and were hard to reply to, or to gain strength to reply to.

(I did mention at some point that I’m bad at rp. This has to do with the fact that I’m very new to the community and I’m still new. If there was someone out there who could teach me, that would be greatly appreciated.)

Another thing I found frustrating during roleplay was that it felt you tried to control the outcome or way the my characters felt about a certain situation. the arranged marriage au is the strongest case for my frustration, it was a modern setting, and it seems we weren’t on the same page

I had Evelyn with a back story that had given her a sense of independence before the marriage, she had a possible love, a career and then she suddenly got thrown into a frightening situation.

(This wasn’t any better for Jaqui, but he wanted to make the most of it. I actually wanted to work with you more on her story and create an outcome where she’s finally free.)

by making the setting be modern that’s what I felt I had to do, she didn’t grow up with the mentality she had to marry someone to secure a position of higher standing.It would have been different if it was Victorian? where girls were kinda expected to be married off but Evelyn was a grown woman at this point, and it felt like she had to marry a kid. I know he was of age in this AU and he was trying to support this family and he scarified himself so his sister wouldn’t have to get married. But it came off that she would have to get over her losing her identity as a person to love someone she really didn’t know or as was scared to know.

(I hadn’t meant to make her feel that way. Jaqui didn’t expect her to love him. If anything, the kindest thing he expected from Evelyn was to not kill him and inherit his money, or something.)

I informed you it would be a very slow burn, and that my muse will hard to woo under this situation , but it felt like you were trying to steer it to something lovey dovey and that Evelyn should have just gotten over it. Both parties didn’t want to get married in the first place.

(I looked at our DMs. All of them. There was no mention of a “slow burn” or a “hard to woo.” It wasn’t my intention to make it feel that way. In Jaqui’s logic, if he was going into this situation, he might as well make the most of it. He thought it would be easier for the both of them to live with each other if they were at least friends. If anything, he wouldn’t be surprised if Evey ran away and married her true partner in secret.)

.Lastly I felt you only liked me for the art, and that maybe if we were good buds I’d draw your oc’s for you. I know this is probably not true but it sure felt like it. Unfortunately man just seeing you on the dash kinda drained me.

Please do not try to control the other Rper’s characters to feel a certain way about yours. not all characters mesh well, don’t force it.

Try to be on the same page as your RP partner, if they want one liners do so, but if they are writing a paragraph please, let there be at least two things they can respond to that won’t end in a yes or no question.
