I only just now realized I forgot to post my PFP on here!

This is Cerith, she’s my mermaidsona, initially drawn up as a concept for a sort of b-movie review show where movies about monsters are watched by a monster and she gives her two cents. This is actually how she gets most of her info about the surface world and she doesn’t really get humans so she’s somewhere between naive and constantly confused regarding them, but just a little bit mistrusting given these movies ended up in her home to begin with because people kept dumping the “now pointless” DVDs and VHS tapes in the bay and making everything a mess (don’t litter, kids!). She also has a pet miniature orca calf named Pearl who is basically a cat (as in Pearl owns Cerith and not the other way around) and she dotes on her a lot. I rambled on a lot about her backstory even though now it’s likely I won’t ever actually do a monster movie review series but who knows? XD She’s still very fun to draw though and I hope you guys like her design, too. Hope you enjoy, thank you, and have a great day!

Writing idea:

A world where soulmates are a known, scientific fact, and people count their blessings that it seems only vertebrates have souls.

Ok, so I just did some rudimentary research, and it turns out that, in the world described above, your soulmate will be a fish. Not only that, but statistically speaking, every single living human's soulmate at any given time is a 1-3 inch long fish in the mid ocean depths. The bristlemouth is a small fish, but it is estimated that there are a quadrillion of them in the ocean. So there is a chance we live in this world but have no idea because we're all soulmates with tiny fish.

aaaaa. iii needed to make something self indulgent!!!! and for me that means drawing Bonnie and also putting a frankly stupid amount of work into rendering food!! outside of the onigiri and spaghetti (kind of), most of these were firsts for me and GOD im so happy with the results. i’ve seen a few people say that my art makes them hungry teehee. i hope this illicits the same reaction! please enjoy :3
