Had to use this wonky setup to get a picture with decent lighting. Anyways, work has begun on the Ochtar. And Lotann is finished. I'm super happy with how he looks and am absolutely never painting another Lotann again. Now I just have to very carefully pack him up and drop him off for the painting competition. Managed to get some photos with better light outside. The Octar is really comin along I think. There is one more piece I need to base coat, then I can get everything assembled and go back over the joins.  One part of this model that was sort of aggravating is that with the pieces as they are I really don’t have a choice but to paint him, assemble him, and then go back to fix the parts where it joins, but its still a really cool model.

Getting close to finished with the Ochtar. Eyes, head spines, suction cup highlights, and touchups and I think he's golden. Then it's just accessories like the sword, jar, club, scrolls, and scroll text. Some more Ochtar, including the eyes. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, honestly. I'm still working on the little pot he's holding though. I'm going to try to concentrate some Casandora Yellow towards the bottom of it, then add silver to the raised spines. More progress on Lotann. Just started doing the highlights on the robes. Going to try taking them to an extreme white highlight, which I've not really attempted to do.
