#HappyMonday Hope your week is starting on a great note! And if not, I hope you are taking a moment to stop, close your eyes and #justbreathe, inhaling #calmness and exhaling stress that you couldn't get rid of over the weekend. Since it's #MindfulMonday I wanted to share this #quote I've read the other day: "The eyes are useless when the mind is blind." I think it's such a #powerfulquote because it explains the simplicity of life in such a short sentence. You have to open your mind to new things around you in order to move somewhere in life and achieve more. Your mind is a very powerful thing, and some people forget it. When you fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start to change. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change as well. I'm saying it, because it really works. From the moment I got my #Reiki certificate and start practicing #mindfullness my life has changed. I became more aware of my surroundings, my depression is gone, and I just feel great and happy. And if things are not progressing fast enough in my life at the moment, I know it will change very soon, because I already feel it. It's a marathon, not a sprint! Living in a city with a crazy energy people are always running somewhere. They only look what's in front of them, missing everything else. There are so many beautiful, simple things around us we have to be grateful for, and sadly we don't notice them most of the time because we are always in a hurry. Taking a few detours along the way to cradle Mountain, I came across a sign indicating King Solomon cave. Stopping to inquire, I was I'm formed about Marakoopa cave, which is a wet cave with water from the Mole creek flowing through, large cavernous halls, white stalactites and stalagmites and glow worms. I drove there to take a look and was blow away by how beautiful it was. All the beautiful tendrils of stalactites coming down the ceiling to meet up with stalagmites growing from below. ✨🌑LOST IN THE WILDERNESS PT. 2🌑✨ I had a craving to go deeper into the night. The stars were becoming clearer as I moved towards what I knew to be a golf course. The black imposing trees rose up on either side as I shied away from the lights of buildings and streets. The stars sprang out against liquid indigo like a million souls in a vast questioning dark. I read the constellations. I greeted my known bright stars. I misplaced Saturn and Jove behind some trees and questioned my direction. The sounds of the leisure centre roared and screeched in the distance. Cars drove past on the horizon. I made to walk back to the scrubland, but it didn’t transpire. More turf, a bunker. I was lost in an endless cultivated wilderness, created to keep rolling me harmlessly back to its centre like a hamster in a ball. I followed the sound of the leisure centre and met an unfamiliar fence. I was hemmed in by organised outcrops of trees giving a reassuring curve to the edge of the course, and no space through to the scrubland. . I followed Saturn for a while, but the stars are no fixed guide on a moving planet. I could wander around in here indefinitely, bustled back by every soft and good-intentioned curve of trees. I started to think about the importance of picking my son up from cadets on time. . Would a sat nav work in the middle of park land?
