I feel the mountains calling. Hiking is life. Nature helps me to recenter and ground myself. It’s a complete reset for my soul. I’m manifesting that one day I’ll live surrounded by nature trails. I’ll spend my days lost in the mountains, sitting under trees and listening to nothing. Pure bliss. 🌄

Best hiking trip I have done so far

I spent six weeks in Perú and this trip was the absolute highlight for following reasons:

- The inca trail is in itself very beautiful with crazy views along the whole path.

- The many inca sights along the trail are incredible.

- Our guide introduced us to the history along the way. The history was packaged in small portions, which is perfect for understanding and learning. All our questions were answered.

- The food (most of the time three dishes) was really good. We were surprised by the skills of the chef who cooked everything in a small tent on two stoves.

- The porters were very reliable and spread good vibes, even on days that were very tough for them.

- The organisation was perfect from pickup to drop off.

- Last and most importantly, our guide Percy made the four days really fun and even paid attention to the smallest details. Just one example: he surprised us with Coca Cola Zero (which we are addicted to :D) on the last day at the Sungate after an exhausting hike to the top and with the first view at Machu Picchu.

All in all: I really recommend doing the inca trail and booking it with this company.

Pics from my little hike yesterday (I also had nice video of poppies blowing in the breeze with oak trees in the background, but as usual, tumblr completely killed the quality so I just deleted it). Took me an hour and 20 minutes even though it could've taken 45 minutes, but I kept stopping to snap pictures and wasn't rushing. Everything was so green, the streams were so full (some ravines that I haven't seen water in for years were even flowing), flowers were EVERYWHERE. These pics don’t even do the wildflowers justice, they were so much more vibrant even from far away. I especially love the poppies, maybe because of our state flower lol (anyone else grow up thinking it was illegal to pick your state flower??). But they're just so silky! Anyway, I love California. 💚

There was also a good few downed trees and some navigating parts of the trail where it was still muddy. But it was part of the fun. 😋

After my hike, I tilled the strip of soil along our fence and spread the wildflower seeds I just bought. Finished just a bit before sunset lol 😅 (but the fact that I could get all this in before sunset, which is at 7:25, is AWESOME). I wanted to do it yesterday since a storm was coming today and the rain would be good right after doing that. So I should be enjoying my own native flowers shortly here; can't wait to see just the little sprouts! 🌱

The future site of hopefully tons of flowers... It's perfect since the sprinklers will reach them (which aren't even on right now, but just come summer).

Back to storming and blustery winds today and tomorrow!

🇳🇵 旅の記憶 ランタンビレッジでは、ふらっと覗いた「LHASA LODGE」に。 部屋も狭くシャワーも無いけど、ダイニングに地元のチベタン達が集まっておしゃべりをしていてとてもアットホームな感じ。宿代も0。暖炉のあるダイニングでお茶を飲みながらカメラのフィルム交換をしていると、そのフィルムケースが欲しいと言われたのでプレゼント。現地の人がよく持っている鼻タバコ？を入れるのにちょうどいいサイズみたい。ちなみに絶対気にいると思った柿の種は現地の人のお口には合わなかったみたい。 そんな宿の主人と話していると、ガイドいないならやってやろうか？と。 確かに、これから向かう最後の村キャンジンゴンパより更に先は、宿も茶屋も何も無く、歩いている人もほぼいないのでどうしようか悩んでいた。 話相手も出来るし、山の名前も教えてもらえるし、何よりその主人がとても感じ良かったので、キャンジンゴンパより先のランシサカルカとツェルゴリへ行く2日間ガイドをお願いする事にした。 #nepal #ネパール #onfilm #filmphotography #nikonf3 #35mmfilm #チャンプカメラ #analoguemountains #longhike #alliseemag #lightzine #mountain_world #hikerlife #山写真 #山とフィルム #stademagazine #naturefilmed #mountainsonfilm 2019/1.
