Recently I was getting hung up on a situation that was hurtful and frustrating to me. I stayed up and wrote down my feelings; realizing all I can only change is me. Then I asked myself: WHAT'S THE REALITY? What is already happening? Whose business is it? There are only three kinds of business in the world, my Grandma used to tells us: mine, yours and God’s, which she defined as the reality of what is. Want to guess where we all need to be at all times to be at peace? I'm sure you know! You need to be in your business just as I need to be in mine. Because when you are in my business, you are neglecting your own. And when we are in God’s business, we are denying reality--- which has yet to work out well for anyone. The next question always seems to steer me back to a better space : HOW DO I REACT WHEN I THINK OF THE SITUATION? Can you think of one stress- free reason to keep the thought? The inquiry isn't about getting rid of thoughts; it’s about realizing what is true about what I'm feeling & whether my reaction is serving me. So I quit my job because I wasn't passionate about it & everyone thought I was crazy... & honestly I wondered if I was crazy a few times as well. I only talked to one person before I did it. One of My best friends Mo :)... & she supported me. She understood me.... She knew that God placed a passion so deep in me for helping his people that my job wasn't going to cut it. Many didn't understand... But how could I expect them to? God didn't give them MY vision. And then I realized.... What is truly important in life anyway? Work and pay bills until we die, or discover what makes us feel alive, figure out our purpose &'go after it? I decided that I preferred the later and knew that waking up to something I was passionate about would be worth the risk. It was scary.... VERYYY scary. But guess what? Life begins when we step outside our comfort zone. Lord, please don't let me fall FLAT on my face😂. "what if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?" 💛
