Finally posting my piece for @twsthorrorzine !! it was very challenging to get out of my comfort zone and draw something horror-esque for once but I've been wanting to do it for a long time and I suppose it was worth it 😭!

Hiii everyone, say, how do your Hawkes go go about sharing their estate? If they do it at all? Is everyone free to come and go or are they more private? Or do they only invite their LI to stay? I'm curious!! :)
#lay rambles#my ocs#oc: liam hawke#oc: lilian hawke#both my hawkes are very social w their friends but i love comparing their boundaries around it#theres variation in rules for specific ppl with both of them ofc but theres still general differences#with liam its all very open and everyone can p much come and go whenever#they dont get extra keys (theyll get lost and he doesnt want randos finding them lol) but they know where to find the spare key#and bodhan and sandal and orana know to let them in whenever#hes very lenient in this this regard but he does have rules abt what he does and doesnt want them to do#mostly its about not making too much of a mess lol bc liam prefers to clean himself#(he doesnt trust the crew with his household and also he has particular ways of doing things and Hates when theyre done differently)#so things like keep your dirty garb at the entrance dont cook by yourselves (this was banned after they did it one (1) time lol) etc#also no fucking allowed. do that somewhere else for the love of the maker he does NOT want to walk into that in his own house#(and it also comes back to liam not trusting them with cleaning but also Not wanting to clean that up lol)#also he is not fond of them going into his room uninvited. most of the house is chill but that is *his* space#he accommodates these rules by e.g. having spare slippers and a little washing basin in the entrance hall for dirty shoes/feet#always makes sure to have snacks in stock that he knows they like#food will have notes abt what to leave for leandra/orana/etc but otherwise food is prepared with his friends in mind#and in general he'll make sure to adjust the space/routine in little ways to accommodate them#(air out when fen isnt there cus he doesnt like drafts; keep curtains open cus anders prefers open spaces; etc)#lilian on the other hand doesnt like when her friends come into the estate without a heads up (cept for emergencies)#but once they have her 'ok' its basically mi casa es su casa#dont yknow. overdo it and get too rowdy but otherwise do whatever#however. she also expects everyone to clean up after themselves. she aint here to play maid and youre all adults#also liam has a general 'please try to not be too wild when leandra is here' and lilian doesnt#not cos she doesnt care but cos leandra is bothered by sth she can speak up herself#oh and lilian uses the basement space as temporary refuge for anyone who needs it (mostly escaped mages)#also side note: both offered gamlen to stay but he refused (out of pride/remorse)#...this got long and i ran out of tag space lmfao so this is it for now xD

yall Im so fucking tired. This month has been exhausting. I promise Im alive, just barely functional atm.

Hes still around but declining#been taking care of him and my mom#along with working full time#and my boyfriend doing his damndest to keep me busy when Im not helping with dad#which is great except Im so tired#but also I havent been able to sleep much#and I've lost my appetite which apparently is a grief thing I didn't know about#So I've managed to get all the physical grief symptoms and it is taking a fucking toll#so your girl is sleeping in tomorrow and spending the day doing my own little crafts and avoiding people as much as I can#a girl just wants some sleep and a fulfilling snack but all she is being given are slight naps and unappealing food. send help.#anyways after this experience Ive decided that I no longer give any fucks because you only live once so Im just gonna do what I want foreve#and actually live life instead of being constrained by societal standards#after all this is over of course. gotta take care of dad first#also I got to paint the door because he was sick of staring at the porch. so its a lake view now#woooo#yeah so thats my life update for you all#also I saw a girl for the first time in 9 years today who completely changed the tradgetory of my life and didn't know it. so that was fun.#exhausing but fun#also idgaf about spelling right now I am running on caffeine and pure will power atm

i just got the cutest Stellnis idea
it's the year before they leave the city and they're not dating yet; Ignis is 21 and Stella is 17
Ignis has developed a subconscious habit of hanging around Stella whenever he's really stressed, because she'll undoubtedly end up distracting him from whatever's troubling him, and today is no different
they decide to go into the city for some specific snack Stella wants to find, except they keep getting side-tracked and before they know it, they're not even remotely following the original plan anymore
soon the whole day has passed as they've been wandering around, Ignis has all but forgotten about whatever was stressing him out, and Stella is happy as can be because she got to spend so much time with him
and when they get back, and Stella goes to say good night, Ignis just. reaches out and pulls her to him and hugs her dumb little face to his chest

The green knight halfway through the tourney walking in from the break after his first intense battle to find the yellow knight has thrown his sword embedded six inches into the ground in green section, demanding satisfaction and screaming about challenging green NOW because my little brother and his friend kept booing yellow whenever he came by all night:

one of my favorite parts of being an adult with stable & disposable income is doing little things for my friends. husband's best friend tells the group chat that he lost his job? hubs and I message each other at the same time to go "imma send him money for snacks." we've been playing fortnite with our partner and her sister & her sister is the only one without battle pass? consider it gifted. these people have been here for me for the last 4+ years and we were all riding the struggle bus together in college, it makes me so happy to be able to give them a little bit of happiness especially when I don't get to see them in person that much anymore
#personal#now of course we would (and have) helped with rent and groceries and car insurance for our friends#but they've pretty much got that covered for themselves#its the small things that they still have to budget tightly on since most of them are still in college/working part time#i just love giving my friends things that make them happy!!#especially when they need them most!!#our friend who lost his job lost it for bs reasons and told us that he wasnt worried about finding a new job within a few weeks#but that 'im gonna go home and have some delta edibles and watch movies for 12 hours i'll start looking for jobs tomorrow'#and peyton and i literally immediately messaged each other#i said 'have you sent matt money for snacks yet or should i'#and he said 'i'm gonna send matt like 10 bucks for snacks'#it was a v good moment#sav was talking last night when we were playing about wanting a skin thats on the battle pass#but she cant justify the battle pass purchase rn#we immediately looked at each other and silently communicated 'we'll get her the battle pass'#so i gifted it to her today and god it just makes me so happy to see my friends happy!!!#7.59 is a small price to pay for the smile of one of my best friends
