There's several types of Kumbhs outside of the 12-yearly cycle that is the Ardh (half), celebrated every 6 years and Maha (major), celebrated every 144 years!

The last one is the one we have this year!!! It's been 144 years since that happened- ie. The last Mahakumbh in Prayagraj was in 1881!

Anyway there's religious and cultural significances that I'm not the best person to explain but you can read it in articles and all- IM HERE TO TALK ABOUT THE SCIENCE AND THE COOLNESS OF THE EVENT!!

Okay so despite being a religious festival there's a significant amount of cool science here-

It takes Jupiter approximately 12 Earth years (4333 days) to travel once around the Sun. That's the event thats marked by each Kumbh mela, which means we can literally calculate the years when this happened all the way back to when this festival started!!!!

Also know why the Mahakumbh is every 144 years? It's cause there's 12 cycles of revolutions that's happened in those years making it extra culturally significant but ya know what that means?

Jupiter's been around the Sun about 12 times since 1881!!!!

The Kumbh Mela is also one of the largest peaceful gathering of people in the world and the world's largest congregation of religious pilgrims!

Dalinar is being confronted with the fact that changing doesn't make up for all he's done, that even though his intentions are better now, he's doing the same things he always has. Navani is learning to question all she's known about history and science, to question the way she's always done things with fabrials and trying to do better. Adolin feels that he is obsolete in the current world, while time and again doing things that are vital to the continued resistance of Odium. He's also the first proof that deadeye Spren can heal and learn, and he cares so deeply about everything. Renarin is learning how to be strong and look out for himself, but also that it's okay to hold people close, it's okay to say what you're thinking and find a way to communicate with people who assume they understand you. Rlain is learning the true history of his people, learning that peace doesn't mean one side defeating the other, as much as he understands the need for retribution for his people. Venli is learning what she wants to do, learning to care and set aside the easy route in favor of what is RIGHT. Szeth has been learning that no matter the horror he has wrought, of his own accord or others, that there are no black and white answers, and that it's okay to want to heal and be better and set death aside. Jasnah has just had all of her failings in her own personal moral code laid bare before her.

I think a new Oathpact formed of this group, human and listener, could be a really fascinating option. I think it would result in a LOT of the people they know passing on while they can't save them, but I feel like that's already happening as it is?

Idk it may not go this way at all but I think it's still a fascinating direction to consider

Oohh dear, this ask makes me happy. Also I didn't know there were more of us out there. I'll gladly answer.

In general, I think they are the perfect duo for a mix of rage, disfunctionality, passion and growth. They are dissimilar and also so very alike. Hook fights his emotions, Bonecrusher is sometimes very led by them, and viceversa. This of course creates friction in their interactions, sometimes it is stimulating and sometimes it's just disheartening. They pass the majority of their life together so this salad of things escalates. In my personal view, Crusher is somewhat attracted (this is not acknowledged, at least in the beginning) by how Hook is just simply untamable. Hook speaks his mind and doesn't care most of the time, he feels so above, with reason often, and this confusing mix draws Crusher to him, like he has to crush this stubborness to perfection. All right, he won't express it healthily, so he jabs him. He provokes him. And Hook, being very touchy BUT also very in the need of always having someone giving him attentions, just let's it happen in time. Because he IS intelligent and knows that he is often hated for how he is, but he has this unstoppable force (Crusher) that somehow keeps, silently, chasing him. Also I don't see BC as an incompetent, not at all. They work together, BC is a good "nurse", in spite of what he is supposed to represent. They clash and sometimes come to blows. They are never still, they can't because there's sooo much going on. In the end I can see them getting so attached (not in a corny way maybe) because it can get addictive. Always having someone fueling your vulnerabilities and make you question them (and yourself) when you win or lose against them. Hook is not so cold and BC not so fervent, that's what they learn and there's peace in that. You know what they say about opposites? I fcking hate that sentence BUT it applies. If they can survive all this and come out alive then baby that's love~

Also if I'll have the guts I'll maybe try writing something on them in the future, even a one-shot ff, because this needs an essay.

see I think its the level of self loathing of V in NG that convinced me he's the most in love he's ever been compared to Hauntingly and B&G. I think in hauntingly was him learning what love is like a whole ass discovery that he can love and ofc out of everyone he would chose to love harry. B&G tom is the one with the least form of power imbalance given they both similar ages/adults so its strangely healthier cause of the boundaries & respect there and he considers things like his goals/future compared the more passionate adoration obsession love of hauntingly. But the thing about NG tom is his love is a mix of both he needs boundaries and I think does want a future with harry in which harry's mind and thoughts are imp like B&G but he has that toxic want and infatuation of hauntingly. But this mixage is horrible because when he loses control he loses it spectacularly and the worst we've ever seen any of the other 2 fics( the rape) but when he's good he's also good in a way he's never been before and to no one( like the only fic in which has his romantic love interest completely in his grasp not running away from him/or running a different game like in the other 2 fic but completely captive he's aware he's in love and he's still utterly and completely powerless)

Now my point on self loathing is in order to ahve the level of self loathing Voldemort has it requires him to put aside his ego completely to believe he doesn't deserve harry. that even if he could have him and have harry love him and say it he realizes he doesn't deserve him and that's an actual constant obstacle. where as I feel like in b&g and hauntingly if harry or hermione confessed they loved him he'd struggle trusting it but he would still believe it because he's selfish enough to want their love he wants to consume their light or mind enough he would take it. where as even if NG harry offered up his love I think his own understanding of his own horribleness would prevent him long term to be with harry and that sort of selflessness to reject what you want dearly indicates "more" love if you can quantify it. Idk if that made any sense hahah but thats my strange take on the whole thing.

ranking anime pt 1

ranking a few of my favourite animes in terms of plot and characters

Bungo Stray Dogs (the manga) i'm actually a pretty new fan but its def the best mangas i've ever read. and notice how i say manga, not anime. the anime actually kind of sucks. the plot is very interesting and intriguing, and all the characters are very well-written. idk where asagiri got the idea of taking historical poets and authors and turning them into hot manga characters from, but i love it. its a very cool concept. you def need to read all the side stories to understand whats happening at times, but you can easily find the side stories on sus illegal websites or just buy them (or watch the anime adaptations). atsushi is a well-written main character and dazai's personality literally has my mind running in circles. this is a manga that makes you think a lot, but if you like literature, def give Bungo Stray Dogs a shot. you won't regret it!

Toilet Bound Hanako-kun (the manga) notice how i said manga again (the anime could do so much better). the art style for this book is AMAZING and the characters are SO WELLWRITTEN. like the title is a bit weird you I SWEAR YOU WONT REGRET IT IF YOU READ IT. its literally the best mixture of romance, comedy, horror, and mystery. its sort of a slowburn and i wish hanako's backstory will be revealed soon because im literally dying to know what ACTUALLy happened between him and tsukasa. and i want to know how nene and hanako's relationship grows!

Spy x Family this is the perfect comedy-action anime to watch with your family and friends. the concept is cool and its fun to see how anya, loid, and yor's relationship grows! I want to know what will happen at the end and if loid and yor actually stay together. its a very good anime and i highly recommend it.

Jujutsu Kaisen i'm a fairly new fan of jjk but i really love it! at first i had to read it a couple times because of all the fast explanations for cursed energy and stuff, but i think i've memorized it all now. yuji is a very interesting main character, and its nice to see his internal struggles with hosting the most evil cursed monster alive. his struggles of accepting his fate and his struggles of losing the people he loves is something that i like seeing (not in a sadistic way) because it accurately shows his character development. i love the strong female characters (shoko, maki, utahime, etc etc) and the subtle inclusion of the lgbtq community (kirara, mai, megumi, etc etc). the character developments in this series in CRAZYY like i actually love it so much. what i don't like is how some of the explanations are a little nonsensical and they pass over the important stuff too quickly. but overall, its a very good series and i recommend it!

Sk8 the Infinity i was so sad when season one of Sk8 ended, because it was really good. i hope they make season two soon. sk8 is so good because it shows reki's struggles, just like how gege shows itadori's struggles. the characters develop nicely, and the relationships between the characters are shown nicely. its a very fruity anime that i HOPE will end like yuri on ice (with reki and langa getting together BECAUSE I WOULD LOVE FOR IT TO BE CANON) its short but sweet and i highly recommend!

The Promised Neverland (the manga) i CANNOT express how much i DESPISE the anime. i HATE IT SO FCKING MUCH. anyways, the manga is pretty good. its another series that works your brain a lot, and it kinda makes me sad because there are literal eleven year olds being smarter than me 😭i personally really like isabella and yugo's characters, and i sort of dislike emma's desire to save the demons. like girliepop pulled the main character card and said "i wanna save everyone so no one has to suffer!" personally i would've gone with norman and ray's plan sooooooo....i also dislike how emma loses her memory at the end. i know it was really important, but i wish she could've gotten her memories back after reuniting with them again because in the canon manga, she CANT remember a SINGLE THING which means ALL THE THINGS SHE DID WITH HER FAMILY are just GONE. i actually screamed when i read that she never got her memory back. i also wish the author had maybe specified a bit more on isabella and ray's relationship as mother and son. anyways, a pretty decent story with good characters.

Demonslayer this is actually my favourite anime. I love it so much. ive read the manga over ten times and it has tanjiro, one of my all-time favourite anime characters. the reason its ranked so low is because of how simple the plot is and how it sort of repeats the action scenes. some of the characters could def be written better, but there was a lot of very good characters as well. tanjiro's character is written so well, and so is shinobu's. i wish we saw more of rengoku before he was killed off after like thirty minutes of screentime, and i wish the author hadn't killed off obanai and mitsuri at the end. that kind of made me mad. but they were reincarnated happily, so its ok! there are some nonsensical explanations and some random things here and there. people say its only because of the animation, and even though the animation is what makes it popular, i personally think that the story itself isn't that bad. its good, and i recommend.

Haikyuu haikyuu is like THE sport anime. its good and its actually taught me alot about volleyball. its also the reason i started playing volleyball. im the libero on my team 💪 its very exaggerated, but the characters are well written and the team's struggle as a whole is laid out well. i like the concept and the main character (hinata) is acc so funny like i love him so much. its the first anime i watched, and its def not the genre i would watch as a first choice, but for a sports anime, haikyuu is really wellmade. the reason its ranked low is because i'm not very interested in it anymore/not really my thing

My Hero Academia i was OBSESSED with this last year. like it was the literal reason i was living. but now that i go back to read it again, its sort of repetitive and deku has become WAYYYY too OP. it started off with a cool concept, but the author has been dragging it out for wayy too long. the fighting scenes are all the same and deku needs to put aside his "good side" and actually take actions that will be for the better, like KILLING OF SHIGARAKI INSTEAD OF WANTING TO 'SAVE HIM' LIKE WHAT?? i also hate how uraraka's whole personality has just become "i have a crush on deku" and i kinda hate how the author portrays uraraka's relationship with toga. i actually kind of despise this anime.

A scenario like that kinda happened in the past and Daemon chose Viserys over his lover(Mysaria and the egg situation on Dragonstone). She probably just thought Nettles meant nothing to him and he’d get over his infatuation as soon as she departed from Except it wasn’t lust this time. She overplayed her hand. If she was a little more patient maybe she would’ve survived longer.

To answer your question, I think Daemon would’ve returned to Kings Landing. I could see Corlys’ warning/telling him Miss Maegor has gone kooky, she hates Nettles’ guts, and that it would be best if they stayed at Maidenpool.

Now if she hadn’t gone on her rant(or if others weren’t there to see it) then they probably would have returned. He wouldn’t give up Netty. She’d probably become his only paramour(I could see him gathering a couple of children with her. Try to give said child a lordship if it was a boy or doting on it if it was a girl). Missy Anne would either have to live with it or she won't go on breathing 😊
