honestly, i think both joong and mingi would wonder at first if you being quiet and withdrawn has something to do with them. are they doing or saying something that is making you feel uncomfortable? or they might wonder if something is going on in your life, like with your friends or family. they probably ask you every now and then just to check in and make sure you're okay and that nothing is wrong. but they come to understand that it's just your personality and you're naturally shy, so you need time to feel confident or warm up to settings and situations. they might take a more proactive approach to help you with your shyness–not in the sense that they want you to overcome it, but more in the sense to help you feel more at ease and less nervous, especially when they are not there for you. they encourage you in small ways to step outside of your comfort zone, but of course the moment they see that it might be too much for you, joong and mingi are stepping right in to help you. no matter what, you know that they are always watching you and have your back

the ones who are just as shy as you are: yeosang, jongho

it's probably a constant back and forth of finding each other endearing LOL. i feel like with yeo and jongho, because they are both also quite shy, a relatively new relationship would give such puppy love vibes. there are a lot of bashful giggles and awkward eye contact when you catch each other stealing glances at one another. in situations that might require confrontation, like the waiting staff confirming the wrong order when you're on a date at a restaurant, you would look at him and he would look at you and neither of you would correct the staff. that's the charm of your relationship though. you both go with the flow that doesn't make either of you uncomfortable, and it's very relaxed and easy-going. and let's be real, you both probably go home afterwards and laugh about (and shit-talk) the situations that neither of you were going to speak up about. introversion and shyness is just a part of the relationship and it works for you all

the ones who bring you out of your shell: yunho, wooyoung

their infectious energy and easy banter just makes it impossible for you to be shy around them. it does take a while at first, but once you're comfortable with them? shy girl who??? i feel like yun and woo just have a way of drawing out your hidden mischief and occasional brattiness, and god do they feel a sense of giddiness to know that they are one of the only people you show this side of yourself to. at the same time though, they are able to reign themselves in when a situation calls for it and they are extremely dependable. they make sure that you know you can rely on them in situations you aren't comfortable with, like if you're in an unfamiliar setting or a situation that requires confrontation. all in all, shyness doesn't exist when you are with yunho or wooyoung, but when certain people or environments bring that shyness back, they're right there for you to lean on

AURETTA — ok she's still in development so this could change but off a quick vibe check, i'm thinking that in a healthy relationship she would want an active sex life. obviously the intimacy with the partner is a valid enough reason to want it, but i specify "healthy" because i feel she's had experience wrecking her own sex drive by being a lil clown who was performing in the relationship, trying to be what she thought they wanted her to be and forgetting to check in with herself along the way. so being in a healthy space of feeling comfortable with herself and a partner would probably be pretty freeing and help her explore her sexuality in a safe space.

RIYA — alright i rubber duckied this one with the dm for some assurance and we came to the conclusion that no, Riya wouldn’t be able to be in a relationship with someone without sex/sexual activity involved (it also wouldn’t be monogamous because that’s not who she is, but that’s not the main focus here). the Riya + Sex topic is multi-layered but when it comes down to it, she needs that physical connection and intimacy with her partners because she’s a very sensual/sexual person and going without sex would feel like shutting off a big part of herself.

MEREDITH — i don't have any detailed backing for it like the other two, just a vibe check that Mere wouldn't be down for relationship with no sex whatsoever. she'd be fine with infrequent fooling around tho, that's fine. she's a busy lady so it works out lmao

AURETTA — probably because she's on the other end of the spectrum, i think she values friends who have fantastic emotional intelligence. she also appreciates friends who are open with affection and kind words. a goofy one is her i know that's right attitude about friends who have no problem going "ok you were right, sorry" about things lmao

RIYA — it would have been different just a year ago before her life went to shit, but i think the top qualities right now are empathy, patience, and optimism. big shocker that the lady going through her entire world and sense of self being flipped on its head is currently placing traits that provide her with much needed support at the top of her list but like 🤷🏼‍♀️ that's how it goes. honesty is also a big one, we all knew that.

MEREDITH — hit the nail on the head with loyalty listed as an example. miss paranoia over here needs the deepest most unwavering levels of loyalty and devotion to feel truly comfortable with a friend. outside of that she values those who are direct, responsible, and funny.

Does your OC find it easy to empathise with their enemies? Or do they see it as important to dehumanise them in order to combat them with sufficient determination? 

AURETTA — i think a lot of moments of her extending empathy to anybody she’d consider an “enemy” would stem from her siblings and/or companions prompting it, because it’s not her instinct to lean on that understanding when somebody’s coming at her (or those siblings/companions) with cruel or violent intentions. i don’t see her as somebody that dehumanises others, but as somebody more than capable of detaching herself from certain situations after 3 decades of aloof ass bitch training.

RIYA — screams into a pillow for 40 seconds straight bc this is brutal for the vigilant game where we have so many enemy variants. we got so many Opps, bro. at the moment Riya's mostly living with a pretty black and white worldview (at the beginning stage of that changing), so up against “humanoid” enemies she's not giving them much grace, if any at all. they're bad people and many of them she's labeled outright evil to cope with what they've done (hi Ilyan and Emyr xoxo). the Serault arc has unfortunately introduced her to moral quandaries when it comes to the Darkspawn, especially the Broodmothers. it was too easy for her to sympathize with the beings that had once been women, which resulted in a lot of spiraling in her head about if their souls were still present or not and that made things painful to navigate. i think she's going to wig out on the day she finds herself feeling the slightest hint of empathy towards one of their humanoid enemies, it's gonna confuse her so bad.

MEREDITH — another lady who isn’t very keen on looking at people with sympathetic eyes if they’ve been deemed an enemy. i think with enemies she kind of,,,reverses her empathy, i’m sleepy and can’t figure out a better way to word it. if she can recognize why an enemy made a decision, she quickly shifts over into remembering that it Does Not Matter because they still made the choice to begin with and caused harm because of it, so they don’t deserve her understanding. which means they deserve her wrath. prepare to be peppered with arrows :)

Are your OC's parents still together? To what degree do they look to their own parents as a model for their own ideal relationship?

AURETTA — lmao nah, they weren’t ever properly together in the first place. they had a brief love affair before her father Eilethal had to go back to Taltempla because of his clerical duties, but there were no hard feelings from her mother because Jocelyn is a cleric of Sune and she simply enjoyed the beauty of their time together. discovering she was pregnant with Auretta was likely seen as a little blessing and not cause for upset tbh. i don't think Auretta looks to their relationship as any kind of ideal, outside of maybe how to not hold a grudge for well-meaning exes idk.

RIYA — yes and they’ll be together and alive and safe forever and are immune to the Blight, thank you for your time. their relationship is #1 in her eyes when it comes to how excellent they are at communicating and reaching compromise, something she was able to notice after she'd had a few years worth or dating/courting/fooling around experience. their love languages are different, as are their personalities and big goals in life, but they grew together so beautifully and have been at this comfortable spot for decades where the love is unwavering and consistent because they learned how to express themselves in ways that the other would be able to understand. because of Riya's own love life being all over the place in terms of varied personalities from her partners, Priscilla and Loren’s communication skills are the model she turns to when in doubt. also there's the elephant in the room that no brother likes her bringing up (Regulus might think it's funny and hop on to bully the others) but like. they had 5 kids and both wanted every one of them. that's a happy and healthy sex life right there, that's great to have.

MEREDITH — you’re rude for this one!! i hope you repent and find Andraste our lord and savior about it!!! anyway they’re still together in the Golden City looking down on their kids or however Thedas heaven works, idk. sadly i think Meredith only looked to her parents as a relationship ideal after she lost them, when she started to get those first glimpses of romantic interest in one of her companions and she’d indulge a few minutes in considering what pursuing the feelings could look like, which leads her to “will it be like what my parents had?” but hey that’s upsetting and leads to tears and the grief she's constantly trying to bury so maybe she should just set that aside for a while and maybe never pick it back up that sounds reasonable

ooh i think i can actually answer this one for multiple!

siyana is very oblivious by design. she's kinda used to standing out just in general as a female hrothgar and hrothgar in general in areas where they're not such a common sight, and also tending to be a good deal taller than even her hroth peers. it used to bother her a little, but she's gotten very good at tuning out other's opinions and has stopped really caring entirely. oblivious by design. she dresses exclusively for herself, and doesn't really care what anyone else has to say about it.

loren used to be extremely conscious of how other people perceived him and still is sort of hyper aware of how a particular outfit might make him come across, though he's done his best to be a little less neurotic about it. it's the side effect of being deeply dysphoria-ridden as a trans man. he sort of rejected anything that could POSSIBLY have him come across as especially feminine pretty aggressively. as he's gotten more comfortable in himself he concerns himself less with that, but he's still pretty hyper vigilant about the way people perceive him, and it's morphed into more of a general concern with his image. he's pretty obsessed with fitting into the perception people have of him as a fearsome fighter, especially since he's pretty short lmao, he's gotta look intimidating somehow!!!

m'seyli is very very aware that her fashion sense makes people perceive her as extremely young or not someone to be taken seriously. her entire aesthetic is cutesy and a little silly and she blames it almost entirely for why she struggles to get people to take her seriously sometimes. she's tried changing it up a few times to try and cultivate a more serious image, but ultimately she's uncomfortable and prefers to stick to what she knows and enjoys.

Not trying to trigger you or anyone else with this question, but who do you think has Bruce, Bo's doggo? As far as we know, he no longer sees Lor, and I cannot see him just abandoning him like that, but he is literally all over the country, and there have been zero pics of him and Bruce since the split which has me, an animal lover, actually worried about his whereabouts. Kinda hoping Bruce is living with his parents or one of his siblings so that he can still visit with him, and the not knowing gives me a very upset stomach over it whenever the thought drifts through the mindspace. So for those who don't know, Bruce is the puppy Bo Burnham adopted in 2015. He had been living with Bo and Lorene Scafaria until they broke up circa October 2022.

Since their split, Lorene has posted a few images of Bruce (like him in a shark costume), meaning he is still living with her. My best guess is that Bo no longer sees the dog at all OR they have a sort of shared visitation agreement.

In the meantime, I'm sure Bo is filling his doggy-loving heart by spending LOTS of time with Phoebe Bridgers' pug, Maxine.

2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them? (Remus)

I feel like a lot of people underestimate how athletic Remus is because he's fat, but he's actually easily one of my more athletic Sidesteps. The speed addition to his armor is just to bolster his strengths than anything. He can really move when he wants to.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them? (Casimiro)

Well, there are a few things, but mostly aesthetic and not anything major to his personality. For example, I decided he's paraplegic from the start of Rebirth, which creates nice tension for him to bicker with Julia about.

I think the biggest thing I changed was that he was feeling a bit boring before, so I decided to fine tune him a bit to make him into a butch lesbian and he just.....he's so much more interesting coming from that angle. It changes his dynamic with Argent in fun ways.

25. What is your favorite thing about your OC? (Loren)

My favorite thing about Loren is that xe absolutely will not let anything take away xir hope and positivity. Xe will always keep charging through life with the sense that everything will weigh itself out evenly in the end.

I'd be interested in knowing what each non-romanced RO (player never picked romance options with them and so on) thinks about any given RO that was chosen by MC. Like for example, in my case, C is my chosen RO. So what would unromanced Loren, Anika and Jasper think about the relationship between MC and C? I hope it makes sense!

And on a side note, how's the relationship between Anika and C to begin with? I've realized we don't really know about that specifically, as C's intro feels like it mostly refers to how their family look at them at large, not necessarily how Anika herself feels.

Unromanced Anika honestly is pretty happy about this one once she gets over the disappointment of not being able to marry Mc. She's always liked knowing that mc and loren have someone who is forever in their corner even if she feels a little left out sometimes, and now that she knows that theyre like together together she can't help but be excited for them.

Unromanced Jasper doesn't really have an opinion, but he's glad to see that Mc is happy. He knew that mc and loren were together before, so its not like things really changed for him when they stayed together. Life just carries on as normal for him tbh

Unromanced C also doesn't care too much. Once they get over the initial shock of mc and anika no longer getting married, they're back to being pretty neutral. They are, however, somewhat happy anika isn't being forced into an arranged marriage. Even if she was okay with it, they weren't.

Jasper:

Unromanced Loren is honestly just completely shocked. They truly never thought that something would happen between mc and jasper just with how much of a wall jasper tried to build between them. Loren would be a little hurt in any route, but they'd be most okay with Jasper ending up with mc. They know he will always do his best to make them happy, and at the end of the day thats all they care about.

Unromanced Anika also really enjoys mc ending up with jasper. The whole thing sounds like it came right out of a book, and she can't help but love every second of it. Anika also just really likes Jasper and is so happy for mc to end up with someone who cares about them so much. (jasper and anika bestfriendism is alive and real to me)

Unromanced C honestly wouldn't know what to think. Part of them can't help but think of how inappropriate the whole thing is, but they do their best to not think that way. They also dont know Jasper too well, but if mcs happy, who are they to try and change anything

Unromanced Anika would be so shocked she genuinely wouldn't know what to say. She wouldn't be angry or anything like that. It's just that she never imagined that Mc would end with her sibling of all people. Once she sees how much Mc and C are able to help and support each other tho she's fully their number one supporter and will do everything she can to convince her parents not to interfere.

Unromanced Loren... isn't a very big fan of C. Its not even jealously or anything like that they just think C is pretentious and would much rather mc end up with someone like jasper or anika. Over time, they'll warm up to C, but they're definitely that person who'd tell Mc to break up with them over the smallest disagreements (they're petty LMAO).

Unromanced Jasper would be a little worried. Hes heard rumors about C and some of the things they've done, so he already has some issues with Mc getting close with them. He'll still be there to support mc and their decisions, but he also won't be afraid to tell mc his thoughts if they ask him. Once jasper gets to know C better, he'll be fine with their relationship, but its definitely going to take a while

Anika:

Like i said, Loren does hold some resentment towards Anika, but unromanced loren learns to get over it relatively quickly. Once they're able to rekindle their friendship with her, loren is pretty supportive of the relationship. They know that she'd never hurt mc, and thats all they care about. Also, the fact that Anika and mc live down the street from them is something they'd be pretty happy about

Unromanced Jasper is pretty supportive, especially once Anika manages to befriend him. He enjoys watching how happy anika and mc are with each other. Hes not the happiest that this means they'll have to stay in London, but he'll learn to be okay with it, lmao

Unromanced C is incredibly relieved. From the moment they heard about the arrangement, they were very worried that Anika was going to be trapped in a cold and unloving marriage, so finding out its actually the exact opposite makes them very happy. All they want is their little sister to be happy<3

As for Anikas and Cs relationship, I'd say they're pretty distant. In a lot of ways, they're similar to mc and Flora but less awkward. The distance between the two isn't from any sense of abandonment like it is with mc and Flora and more from C purposefully distancing themselves to try and reduce the bad image they cast on anika and their family🙃
