Ok I'm sorry these are SO boring to me and here's a bullet list on why:

all human roster. zer0 and fl4k meant nothing??

another siren. i know it's tradition but how you gonna explain this one? Tyreen's powers?? Also for someone with a pink/magenta heavy theme she's soooo muddled sos

that takes me to: muddy af color palettes. jesus did the bl3 aesthetic seep the contrast out of borderlands. Take my hand 🖐 let's examine:

All the vaulties always had a strong color palette or theme going on. Think about Krieg being mega orange, Zane contrasting blue and yellow, Moze being muddy but having a theme and contrasting with the other vaulties. These new guys fade into each other and into the background.

Individual problems imo with each one from left to right, calling them 1, 2, 3 and 4:

1: god where to start. Boring ASS clothes. The blade gauntlet things don't even stand out. NO silhouette AT ALL totally fades along NPC profiles. Nose piercing and soulpatch? sorry personal gripe but it's just too much. plus the hair and face shape (and bladed) is just Zane Lite™️. All and all from this screenshot alone they leave no impressions.

2: Again no silhouette and even worse her own colors clash. Where's the sense in a leg exposed COVERED in pink places against a pink backdrop of a waist coat?? HELLO?? And the hair jesus. Nothing there. I like that pink, tho. also again can't tell shit about the character from the clothes. Maya: action oriented, hands exposed suggest melee. Brick: a brick. Roland: obvs soldier boy. Amara: casual browler. etc.

3: to me a clusterfuck of subtle references. Ragged cloth, belts, codpiece, beard and hairstyle scream viking oriented. Armor is all over the place. All in all they give me "just some buff dude" energy. No expression at all. And way too top heavy. Too much gray, gordget clashes against paldron, it's just extra stupid how the metal hugs his waist but doesn't cover the abs... Sheesh. At least there's a sense of where the character might go gameplay wise - a Brick or Wilhelm.

4: well here we are everybody: the black female coded character with large pants that look like gigantic hips but a tiiiiiny little heroin chic waist. just take me out back and shoot me, gearbox. Between the visual weight of the big curls all to one side and the huge pants is sandwiched a small face and a minuscule torso. The huge gloves can't even move without hitting the tubes of her pants. I know what the designer was going for but Kingdom Hearts this is not.

If it wasn't by how stark the pink tattoos of the siren character look against the mess of uncoordinated colors this screenshot could've looked like a lineup of side characters like Lorelai or so. Idk, tertiary characters. BC if you think of the ensemble cast like Marcus, Ellie, Scooter, Moxxi, Zed and so on you can cleary think color palettes, silhouettes, character roles.

ALSO WHY IS IT SO SMOOTH??? the comic lines don't look nearly as heavy as they should be (just kidding I know why it's bc the Sergi Brosa-esque designs are busy as all fuck and everything now has to look like Overwatch and Dragon Age Veilguard).

does anyone else think that season 4 was buddie’s “everything has changed” moment?

like, before, in seasons 2-3, i could still see them as just friends (except for that moment at the end of s3 in “eddie begins”, where buck was digging for eddie with his bare hands, and everyone looked at him like he was about to lose his wife, lmao + the “you wanna go for the title?” scene)

but in season 4, something shifted

feelings got deeper, and they changed form

it’s like when two of your friends from your friend group suddenly fall in love with each other, but they don’t even realize it yet, so you’re just watching them like: ??? do they know? should i say something, or is it not really my place to interfere and they’ll figure it out on their own? (think of: jess and nick, monica and chandler, amy and jake, robin and barney, lorelai and luke, etc.)

they’re so nick and jess-coded starting from season 4

that’s why i’m not even annoyed by eddie dating ana and marisol or buck dating taylor and tommy - because i know in my heart that they’re going to find their way to each other eventually

because they’re the ones for each other, they’re the “it was always you” trope, they’re soulmates

if people didn’t believe in buddie in seasons 2 and 3, i get it. but as soon as season 4 started, i was like, “what’s going on?” (especially in that “9-1-1: lone star” crossover, where eddie showed how much he loves and prioritizes buck for his adorkable personality, and buck experienced his second bisexual panic - his first was when he saw eddie for the first time to “what a man”)

it honestly looks like ryan and oliver made a secret pact before shooting season 4, where they were like, “we don’t care what the network and writers think - we’re going to play our characters like they’re in love. because they are.”

like, this is friends to lovers slow burn at its finest. and when buddie becomes canon, it’ll be right up there on the list of the best ships of this trope

also, to all the non-buddie shippers (if they still somehow exist…) - it was a love story all along, you just didn’t notice it

by the way, tommy and marisol are buck and eddie’s sam and reagan - they’re here to help these characters realize that they’re meant to be with each other

(while i was writing this, i realized the “nick moving to new orleans” and “eddie moving to el paso” parallel, omg)

that’s why i’m actually glad that buck didn’t have his bisexual awakening with eddie but with someone else. this ship is so big and important that the writers needed to take their time with it - to get to it slowly and carefully, so they wouldn’t mess it up. they needed to make sure they got it right

and i think they did

we’re witnessing such an epic love story, and i’m beyond happy that the creators of this show are on board with it, because it’s too good not to pursue and bring to life

DMed a oneshot for the friendos and got a new achievement : making a player cry!

The premise was that a Hag pulled them into her domain which was shaped by their dreams and desires, particularly Blythes! So it was a big fancy Villa with a ballroom, opera haus, fancy dinner, everything - and immediately somethings were different.

Arameia woke up NOT a werewolf and Lorelai woke up a HUMAN and not undead. Rosy cheeks, freckles and all (she was very weirded out over not being able to hear or smell as good).

For Arameia - the dream manifested her parents, alive and well, and her pet dog Lancelot, no longer geriatric. The horror of becoming an orphan never occurring. For Lorelai, it took away her vampirism, and the root cause...her father alive and well - though distant. It wasn't that she wanted to see him...but rather proof of wiping her sin away. For Eirwen, it wiped away her Sharrian past, and the tattoo that came with it, and gave her more friends, so she'd never be lonely. And for Raha.... Well let's just say he folded like a lawn chair in a hurricane.

Upon meeting her the gang had a lot of discussion as to how & why, though the concept of a motherly Blythe left everyone...concerned.

Since the party was a bit of a pickle not sure where to find Raha or Blythe since they're the only party members they haven't met up with, a certain special someone made an appereance...in the form of a kitty cat!

Theta explained that the dream is made up of Blythes wishes and desires : to have her friends with her and never die, her favourite food, a library full of artifacts, an extravagant villa with ballrooms - and the little changes to them was the Witch tapping into their own desires to keep them placated and comfortable...so they may just decide to forego reality and dream...like Blythe and Raha have. She does not want her precious petal just slowly withering away, being a meal, in another Witch's domain, that's her job, so she gives the party hints on how to break out before the Witch zaps her the hell out (she couldn't just enter as Witch's power is absolute within her domain, so it would take a lot longer for her to wiggle in strong enough to do anything substantial)

She introduces herself as Wunsch...the party can deduce she is a Night Hag (this is where I say I just made her Fae and idgaf) (as per my fae characters, she has freaky eyes...in this case it's a starry sky instead of pupil!) . She asks the party if there is "anything else she can do"...the party notices little things change around the dream, like suddenly even more food, some of their favourites, or new faces.

In order to find Blythe they needed to restore stopped time, and find the three clockhands for a magical clock...1 of them was behind some riddles, the other one, behind a test of friendship where they had to answer 3 things correct about the person in front of them. The last key, most horrifyingly...was inside Arameias parents.

THIS IS WHERE I MADE THE PLAYER CRY HEHE....Arameia decided she will do it herself, as she already buried them once...she does eventually manage to kill them (it was very sad because they did not Want to Die), and get the key...but not without a lot of heart ache and tears....Thankfully Lorelai was there for plenty of hugs...

Then they finally meet Raha! Who has fully drank the kool-aid and started dreaming, and he stands before them...he doesn't want them to break the spell. He fights for Blythe's dream...and his own...unwilling to let them take way her or his daughter....and that he and Blythr have nothing in the real world, no family, no home. Just hardship...and eventually he'll just die, and leave Blythe all alone.

After defeating him, the Witch takes matter into her own hands, as the party falls into the "bedroom" where Blythe is sleeping & have to fight the actual Hag herself in her true form...or rather wake up Blythe until the clock strikes 12 and the dream is fully manifested and unable to be stopped.

Wunsch's true form is a giant marble like lion with white feathers and a 4 armed upper body reminiscent of a sphinx. In the cracks of the marble a night sky can be seen, she doesn't particularly have many offensive spells, mostly relying on her enemies being slowed/confused/held/dominated until the timer runs out. (All the reflective shards were of Blythes &co's dreams and nightmares...the party gone, Raha withering and dying in bed, Theta, herself becoming a true hag ... or happy family for Arameia as an example...Eirwen surrounded by friends and Lorelai laughing with the party)

But the party manages to wake Blythe up using all that they've learned!! That yeah she wants these magical tomes and artifacts...but everything in here would have been things she's already found...she can never 'discover' anything new in a dream she's created, so let's go adventuring!

How she's always wanted to try Tarrasque steak but without trying she could never imagine the taste...so why not come with them and kill one?

That she's not safe from Theta in here, and if she was able to get in once, she can get it in again...so lets get out of here and break your curse!

That yeah they'll live eternally, but they won't be 'them' anymore...over time they'll have their edges smoothed over and it won't be the same people because we don't get to grow and experience new things...That Raha loves her the way she is...and that she's not a hideous monster...

When the party awakens, completely normal with..all the curses and stuff, they find out that time hasn't moved since they've fallen asleep, and immediately run to find Blythe and Raha...who don't remember anything that happened, and assume that maybe some ghost got them into a nightmare but they broke out of it. Arameia/Eirwen/Lorelai decided to keep some facts to themselves, like the presence of the child or fighting Raha.

Hilariously, they assume they had too much 'willpower' to be got by such a spell, despite in actuality being the only ones to fold. The gang did have a newfound appreciation for them realizing that yes...Blythe does love them a lot and that they don't know much about Raha and haven't been very good friends.

BUT IT ALL ENDED BITTERSWEET.,....with the gang now being sure all of them love each other and they can move from confronting their trauma and go forward...with fwiends :)

🐆🐻✨CHAPTER 3: SUNNY SIDE OF THINGS✨🐻🐆

Note: Stuffs been going wild so I posted this WAYY later than I wanted, but I hope you guys still enjoy!

Percy reaches for her keys and opens the door, turning on the lights to her apartment. They flickered to life and illuminated the space. The sisters both looked inside, it was a pretty nice looking place all things considered. 

A small living room to the left with a tv, an open kitchen to the right, and what appears to be a mini hallway leading to three doors infront of them. Percy’s home had a nice dull blue wallpaper covering mostly everything. Molly looked at a clock on the wall, 10PM. Way past her bedtime at this point.

“You two need some rest, we can discuss the layout of my apartment and other things in the morning. Are you two sure you don’t wish to take my room for the night?”

“Sleeping in someone elses room is weird.” Lorelai said, crossing her arms as she looked around.

“Yeah, we can take the couch or the floor. We don’t really mind! I promise!” Molly smiled apologetically, Lori rolled her eyes.

Percy nods. “Alright, please go ahead and sit down. I will go ahead to get some pillows and blankets for you two.” She smiles at them, then leaves the room.

Molly waits for Percy to be completely gone, then lets out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. She sits down on the couch, then grabs her phone from her pocket. Molly opens the group chat she has with her friends, and starts typing.

Molly: Hi guys, anyone still awake?

PHANTOM OF POTIONS PAST, GRIMLORD OF DARKNESS!: HIIII! Yes I am indeed awake >:]

Molly: Oh, hi Trixie! I’m assuming Feenie’s asleep cause it’s her bedtime?

PoPPGoD: Yeahh probably! Why are you up so late anyway? Did something happen?

Molly: Yeah, my dad got arrested.

PoPPGoD: WOOOOOOO! 

Molly: Trixie…

PoPPGoD: Oh whoops, sorry- what happened?

Molly: The cop that interviewed me a bit ago about the museum apparently found out about my situation and took me and Lori in. Currently in her apartment right now.

PoPPGoD: I dont trust them coppers… but as long as ur OK, im OK! >:D

Molly: Thanks Trixie… I’ll see if I can go more indepth on what happened tomorrow at school. I’m getting sleepy.

Molly leans back into the sofa, then smiles. Hopefully she’ll be able to go to school tomorrow and talk to them.

“I’m back, apologies for the wait.” Percy walks in holding several pillows and blankets, all in mostly blues, yellows, and whites.

“Dibs on the couch!” Lorelai said, grabbing some pillows and immediately making herself comfortable. Her knight costume poofed out of existence in a flash of glitter into her normal outfit.

“But- aw, fine...” Molly sighed in defeat, standing up from the couch.

Oh well, the floor is probably fine. Considering it’s Percy she probably keeps it pretty clean. Theres a rug too so maybe it’s a bit comfier..? It takes a few minutes for Molly to finally get to a comfortable enough position to lay down.

“Goodnight, you two.”

“Goodnight, Percy!”

“…Night.”

And with that, Percy turns off the lights and goes to her room. Immediately falling asleep when she lays down in bed. The noise of the city melting together into a cacophany of sounds that were oddly comforting, she’s probably gonna take a few days off from work to help the two adjust. 

Percy should wake up early tomorrow, her usual breakfast was just toast and some water but these two probably needed more food than that. Maybe something like cereal? No, far too sugary. She wasn’t even sure if she had anything like that. Toast, water, orange juice, eggs-

Wait, eggs?

There was a smell of something being cooked from the kitchen, Percy stirred and opened her eyes. Oh dear, it was morning already? She looks at her alarm clock. 5:40 AM. How peculiar, she gets up from her bed and puts on her slippers to investigate.

Percy walked into the living room, the pillows and blankets were folded neatly and placed on the coffee table. While the couch where Lorelai was sleeping had an… iridescent bubble in its place.

It clipped into the floor and couch as if it was a bugged model in a video game. She stared in utter confusion for a bit before a voice from the kitchen piped up.

“Morning Percy!” Molly said, holding a pan. Why was she making breakfast?

Percy flinched, completely forgetting that she got up to see who was awake this early. “Ah! Good morning to you too, Molly.” Percy turns to her and gestures to the bubble. “May I ask why your sister has turnt into a sphere?”

“Oh, it’s just an epithet thing.” Molly puts the pan in the sink. “Lorelai can make these things called ‘dream bubbles’ where she makes these fantasy worlds, sometimes she just sleep-inscribes.”

“I see… Why are you up so early?”

“Oh! Well… I wanted to repay you for letting us stay here so I thought I should make breakfast!” Molly points at the table. There was buttered toast and eggs, either boiled or sunnyside up. “We should probably go get groceries and stuff, there wasn’t a lot in your fridge to work with…”

“Noted. But thank you for this, Molly.” Percy goes to sit down, then picks up a boiled egg and inspects it closely. “So, about your sister…”

“Don’t worry, I can go wake her up.” Molly looks at the bubble for a second, then walks over to the couch.

Percy watches in curiosity, she knew Molly and Lorelai had epithets from their files. “DUMB” and “AUGMENT” respectively, but she’s never seen it in action. Percy watched as Molly knocked on the bubble for a few seconds, calling Lorelais name repeatedly to wake her up. After a few minutes she rolled her eyes, reaching her hand out as a small green glow appeared. 

Molly moved her hand closer to the iridescent surface and a hole appeared like a rift in the air. Slowly the gap grew bigger until it was about the size of Molly herself. She entered the bubble and the hole dissapeared along with her.

Percy decided to go and make some coffee while she waited since she still felt a bit tired from last night, more and more time passes and… POOF!

The detective turnt around, alarmed at the sudden sound. Then there stood a groggy Lorelai and a mildly upset Molly.

“Good morning, Lorelai!” Percy said, grabbing her drink without looking and returning to the small dining table. Honestly you probably couldn’t even consider it a dining table, more like a table for one that crammed three chairs.

“Yeah, morning.” Lorelai wiped away the fog from her eyes, then quietly went over to the table grabbing a plate. Molly followed.

“I decided to go ahead and work from home while you two get settled here.” Percy takes a sip of coffee. “Since you two have school I will be responsible for your education for the time being.”

“Me and Lorelai usually change between having to work and having to go to school. I attend school on odd days and she attends school on even ones so that means-” 

“You have to go to school and I get to stay here and relax!” Lorelai interrupts her and grins, Molly scowls at her.

Percy thinks for a second, she never thought the situation was this bad. Who on earth would let a child work instead of attend school!? Oh wait, Martin would. “I… suppose we can still use this system, even for just a few days as you two adjust.” She smiles. “And since I’m not very well acquainted with Miss Lorelai, then perhaps we can use this as a bonding opportunity!”

The three of them continue talking. Percy explaining the layout of the house, the chores, and potentially getting the two of them a room to share, more and more time passes till they all finish and go do their own thing.

Lorelai made another bubble in the corner of the living room, Percy did the dishes, and Molly got ready for school.

Molly already had her schoolwork in her backpack, so she had no need to go back to the emporium to retrieve her things. That was nice! She sat at the couch waiting, when Percys voice piped up.

“Are you ready for school?” Percy asked, walking up to Molly.

“Uh, yeah! Are you gonna drive me there?” 

“No need, your public school is conveniently just a short jog away from my apartment! If you count 20 minutes short, I mean.” The detective held up a metal lunchbox, it had the SJPD logo on the center, so that probably meant it belonged to Percy. “I’ve also taken the time to go ahead and make you some lunch.”

“Really..?” Molly walked up to the lunch box and grabbed it from Percys hand, staring at it. “Theres… Really no need to do that, I usually just ask my friends or buy some stuff at the cafeteria.”

“I personally do not think the cafeteria food they serve is enough for a childs daily diet.” Percy explains. “You can just think of it as a thank-you for making breakfast.” She smiled.

Molly stopped staring at the lunchbox realizing that was probably weird, then turns to Percy to smile at her too.

“Well then, I’ll go ahead and drop you off at school. I’m assuming your sister will be fine if I leave her for a few minutes?”

“She can last in bubbles for hours, she’ll be fine.” Molly explains.

And then the two of them leave the apartment. The streets here were much, much louder than Molly expected. She covers her ears as she walked, which Percy took note of. More time passes and Percy drops off Molly at school. 

Molly waved goodbye at her as she walked away when a sudden jingling bell sound grew closer and closer until-

“MOLLY!!!”

Phoenica Fleecity and Trixie Roughhouse hugged Molly as tight as they could, which was less bone-crushing and more soft and fluffy due to Feenie. “Trixie told me everything! We’re so glad you’re okay!”

“She did?” Oh right, Molly sent a message to the group chat. 

“Really happy that dad of yours is outta the picture now!” Trixie said, grinning.

“Haha, yeah. I am too…” Molly hugged them both back, the hug lasted for a few seconds before the bell rang.

“…How about I tell you guys everything when lunch comes around?” Molly asked.

“Oh sure! Stay safe Molly!” Phoenica smiled even harder then let go of both of them, walking off to her class.

“You do too…” 

“…So did Lorelai get arrested too?” Trixie piped up.

“Trixie!” She playfully shoved them with an elbow. “Don’t be like that!”

“Yeah yeah, I know! Just checkin!”

After confessing your feelings to each other, Jess was desperate to take you to Stars Hollow. He wanted you to see the little town and he wanted to introduce you to Luke, knowing that his Uncle would love you straight away. And he was right. The moment you walked into the diner, you were greeted by a tall man, wearing a baseball cap and a flannel shirt embracing you in a bear hug.

‘You must be (Y/N),’ he said, pulling back from the hug and smiling at you.

‘(Y/N), this is my Uncle Luke,’ Jess introduced, taking one of your hands in his.

‘It’s nice to meet you, sir,’ you said.

‘I don’t think I’ve heard anyone call you sir,’ a tall, dark-haired woman said, getting up from her table and walking over to you, wrapping one arm around Luke and holding her hand out to you. ‘I’m Lorelai.’

‘Nice to meet you,’ you replied, reaching out to shake her hand.

‘Come and sit down, you want a coffee, hun?’ Lorelai offered, walking behind the counter and grabbing a mug and the coffee pot.

‘Get out from there,’ Luke said, walking over to Lorelai and pulling her back around the counter.

‘She doesn’t work here?’ you asked, leaning into Jess slightly.

‘No, she’s dating Luke,’ Jess explained, leading you over to the table where Lorelai had been sitting on her own. Taking your seats, Lorelai filled three mugs with coffee before sitting back down and talking at a breakneck speed, wanting to know everything about it. It was when she mentioned Rory that you felt yourself go cold.

‘You know Rory?’ you asked politely, taking a sip of your coffee.

‘Well, I’d hope so, she’s my daughter,’ Lorelai joked and you gave a weak laugh in response. ‘Why? Do you know her?’

‘(Y/N) and Rory briefly saw each other at the open house in Philadelphia,’ Jess explained. You managed to make it through the rest of the afternoon, talking to Lorelai as if nothing was wrong before you and Jess decided to call it a day and head to the apartment above the diner (Luke having offered it to you both while he stayed at Lorelai’s).

‘Are you okay?’ Jess asked after gently closing the door behind him.

‘So, this is where you lived?’ you started, looking around the small apartment, trying to change the subject.

‘Don’t change the subject,’ Jess said, seeing right through you as he wrapped his arms around your waist and held you close. You sighed before leaning your forehead on his chest.

‘I just hate the way she treated you,’ you said, your voice muffled by his t-shirt. ‘She led you on and I know you said that you don’t have feelings for her anymore, and I believe you, but she was the first girl you loved and she ruined it. You know I won’t do that right?’ you asked, moving your head to look at time.

‘Do you know what Luke said to me earlier while you were talking to Lorelai?’ Jess asked softly, bringing his hands up to gently cup your face. ‘He said that you’re good for me. That he can see how happy I am when I’m with you. And I agree with him. That’s all that matters, right?’

You couldn’t stop the butterflies in your stomach at his words and you smiled up at him, reaching on your toes to press a kiss to his lips.

‘Right.’

Edit: i realized this actually taught me a valuable lesson.

1. Don't pet the sweaty stuff

I had to force myself not to care too much about the little pixels of miscolor if I wanted to get these out before going to bed. I also discovered how to do a lot of implied details and make it mostly cohesive

Each piece took me within a day to do. So if I have a clear image of what I want to go for then maybe I *can* make a fully rendered comic. I used to think it'd be too much trouble until this

I Am All In Rewatch - Jess & Rory - Episode 3x14 (Part 3)

Even though I think Lorelai is a great mom and no question. She's a, an outstanding person, a strong, loving, single mother doing a fantastic job of raising her daughter. I, I, so let a Jess into the life of your daughter, you know, your precious daughter, boy, that's, that's a tough one for a mother. That's a tough one for a mother to swallow...Yeah, no, it was heavy. It was it. See that's the Dan Palladino trick man. He really, he gets you. He gets you laughing harder than you thought you could ever laugh. He's creating this wonder. He's he's, he's refreshing. He's putting a new coat of paint on the Gilmore characters. You know, and you know, when things were getting heavy and then he comes in and lightens everything up and puts a fresh coat of pain on everybody gets you laughing and then Ba-boom lowers the Boom. Big life moment...But, but just, but just think about the, the, the fear on Lorelai's face and her thoughts and all. She didn't even have to verbalize anything. She's so good that you can just read her thoughts. And the situation is, is screaming. So they didn't have to do much...And she was oblivious to, you know what, Lorelai was going through her mother. It's like, I'm gonna lose my daughter. She's not gonna be here much longer. She's gonna start having sex. And she might, she might get pregnant and screw up her life. Like I like what happened to me? And Is it so bad. No, I have a great kid, but Jesus, I want her to go to Yale and I want her to go to Harvard, whatever she does. So that moment was just so full. -Scott

Reasons I hate Jess Mariano

(As someone who has watched GG 120,045,892x)

1. Pursuing Rory when she was in a relationship: That is problematic enough. Other than the fact that it is disrespectful, it says a lot about you as a person if you are actively, and aggressively, pursing someone you know is in a relationship. In simple terms: It’s scummy. More in depth: It shows entitlement and possessiveness and overall is a bad look. it is selfish because if you cared about that person genuinely you wouldn’t try to hurt them or cause problems in their lives. Jess loved when Dean and Rory argued because of him and he enjoyed taunting Dean. Jess isn’t stupid, he KNEW he was negatively affecting Rory’s relationship but he did it anyways. That is selfish because if he genuinely cared about Rory, causing her harm would be the last thing he would want to do. When he outbid Dean for the basket date, he sat there with a shit eating grin spreading from ear to ear as he watched Dean and Rory fight. To summarize, it is just very selfish, inconsiderate, arrogant and overly scummy to aggressively pursue someone In a relationship and revel in the conflict you are causing in their relationship. It is the opposite of loving and caring which is what a love interest SHOULD be.

2. The way he treated Lorelai when he first met her: This might be super controversial but people were well within their right to dislike Jess. Yes, the town meeting to ban him from town was a little over the top but if the first thing you do when you come to town is disrespect the people who are trying to welcome you, steal and vandalize, why would people like you? I think the whole “Jess was a kid and they were adults” argument is so ridiculous. It is also unnecessarily infantilizing Jess. Jess was 16/17 when he came to town. He knew right from wrong and he is fully capable of making the correct decision, so people judging him based on the decision he consciously chose to make is fair. Yes if you are an adult actively beefing with a child, that is one thing but it is valid to dislike disrespectful people regardless of their age. If you come into MY house, welcome yourself to my stuff then yell at me in a span of 10 minutes, I am not going to like you and that is valid. It’s almost like people don’t typically like people who disrespect them. Also, more controversially, just because you went through things doesn’t justify treating innocent people like crap and the idea that people who have been through things get a pass on being a piece of crap and disrespecting people is crazy and that would just normalize people being horrible because EVERYONE has been through something. “Lorelai doesn’t like jess because she sees herself in him” OOOORRRR because he was always extremely rude and disrespectful to her and was extremely bad to and for her daughter! I think that is one of the dumbest statements that have ever come out of this fandom. If Jess came in your home and yelled at you, you wouldn’t like him either. If Jess crashed your daughter’s car over a squirrel (if you know how to drive and arent stupid a squirrel isn’t going to make you total a car), you wouldn’t like him either. If Jess intentionally sabotaged your daughter’s relationship and enjoyed every second of it even though it caused her anxiety and pain, you wouldn’t like him either. It has nothing to do with “seeing herself in him” and everything to do with Jess … sucking. To summarize: his blatant disrespect of the people around him is super unattractive and unjustified. I don’t care to argue wether or not Lorelai was in wrong for trying to talk to Jess, the way he talked to her was unacceptable and if we gave every person whose life is hard a pass to be rude, everyone would get a pass. He completely earned being disliked, if you put yourself in everyone else’s shoes, why would you like the little punk kid who never has a kind word to say, has stolen from you and is consistently rude?

3. Keeping Rory’s bracelet: Yes, Rory didn’t notice but Jess’ intentions were unpure. It is very very weird that he was actively trying to sabotage Rory and Dean’s relationship. Yes, you can’t control your feelings (like if you fall for someone who isn’t available) but you can and SHOULD control your actions. Him keeping the bracelet didn’t directly sabotage Rory and Deans relationship but Jess’ intentions weren’t good, it was just not a good thing to do and he didn’t even acknowledge it as wrong. Also, yelling at Lorelai about it and justifying it by saying “if she is so in love with Dean why didn’t she notice the bracelet was gone?” is crazy. If I keep someone’s wallet because they didn’t notice it was gone does that make it okay?

4. Using Shane to make Rory jealous: The way he treated Shane was horrible, he literally treated her like a disposable object. He only ever paid attention to her to make out with her and make Rory jealous. When she would try to talk to him he would dismiss her and ignore her. I know this is just CRAZY but men who use women like that are a big no no for me. It was really gross behavior, it showed a lot about how he viewed the people around him and I think that particular storyline pushed a bad message.

5. He put more effort into the chase (stealing Rory from Dean) than he ever did into their actual relationship: Well.. that’s it I just said it. He put way more effort into stealing Rory than being Rory’s boyfriend.

6. His character development was MID!: There I said it. Gilmore Girls fans will act like Jess has one of the best Character Development / Redemption arcs in all of cinematic history. The truth is his character development was that he stopped yelling at people and he got and kept a job. THAT is the amazing, mountain moving character development this fandom is talking about?!?!? I did like that he acknowledged what Luke did for him and thanked him but lets not overhype mediocre character development. He didn’t even have the top 5 best character development in the show so let’s relax.

7: The party scene: Enough said.

Although I believe that you should be able to just not like a character, I genuinely had to get this off of my chest because Jess Glazers annoy me. I had watched Gilmore Girls before I ever interacted with the fandom so disliking Jess and Tristan seemed like no brainers, so seeing people absolutely worship Jess was such a shock to me. On top of Jess being unlikable all by himself, the way the fandom treats him makes me like him even less. The biggest one is that Jess gets 100% of the credit for getting Rory back to school from the fandom as if he didn’t try to get her to drop out two seasons ago and she was already on that route. Even before the “Why did you drop out of Yale?” speech you could already see that Rory was less and less comfortable in the life she created around her and she wanted a change. People who give Jess all the credit for getting Rory back to Yale must have watched the show with their eyes closed. Also, before the idiot brigade comes for me. Multiple things can be true at once. I watched the show a million times I KNOW that Jess comes from a troubled home, and had a damaged relationship with his unreliable, essentric and neglecful mother. A character can be complex, well written and realistic and still UNLIKABLE. Just as I said above, going through things doesnt make your actions justified and doesn’t mean you are owed or entitled to people’s forgiveness, understanding or grace. You aren’t owed multiple chances.

Example: If a homeless man on the street come up to you and punches you in the face so hard it fractures your jaw, obviously he is going through something, however to you he will always be the asshole who punched you for no reason and you wouldn’t be a bad person for being upset that someone hurt you even though they are going through something. Because going through something doesn’t justify hurting others.

You can empathize with Jess’ issues while acknowledging his wrongdoings and the fact that he isn’t likable and saying you don’t like a character doesn’t mean you “just don’t understand them”. You can understand the complexities of a character and their backstory and still not like them. Take Elena Gilbert as an example, we all watched the same show. We all know that Elena went through more than most people do in a life time. Everyone she knew died, she had to lose both sets of her parents, she died like a million times, was used in a ritual, was tortured, etc but people still find her annoying because two things can be true at once. I just see the “You don’t like them because you don’t understand them” argument way too much. No, I don’t like them because I don’t like them, I understand why they are the way they are but I still find them unlikable.

I feel like honeymoon Harvey would spoil you to no fucking end. Like he might even have someone that secretly follows y’all around and everything you touch he buys for you and then it’s just there when you get back. Anyway here’s my two cents on the matter <3 title from this song that I highly suggest listening to.

“Will you please just tell me where we’re going?” 

“No.” You could hear the smile. “Just be patient.”

You huffed, pinching the bridge of your nose. You knew you shouldn’t have let Harvey plan the honeymoon. Sure, he let you take care of the whole wedding; everything from the flowers and the cake, to what boxers he wore under his pants. All of it was planned and precise. 

This was most certainly not how you wanted to kick off the next two weeks. The two of you compromised: you plan the wedding, he plans the honeymoon. You got on a plane at six this morning and all you knew was it was freezing outside.

You trusted Harvey enough to not plan something you hated, because then both of you would be miserable. The cold was a good sign. 

And being blindfolded didn’t necessarily make anything better. Especially this rickety bus you guys got on which was wobbling side to side as you drove for about an hour. It seemed to drive on and on and on and then there was a steady pace up and up and up. 

You wanted to take a peek to see where you were heading, but Harvey had his hand in yours so you knew you weren’t getting away with it. 

“Alright, we’re here. Nope, you’re not allowed to take it off yet, don’t even try,” He muttered, taking both of your hands and leading you out of the bus. 

The gravel stones crunched under your boots and the chill of the air stung your nose. You took in a big breath and exhaled. “I smell snow.” “How can you smell snow?” Harvey asked, very obviously annoyed that the surprise was slowly starting to be revealed.

“Because I can,” you shrugged. Your mind began to wonder about where you were. You knew it was out of the country because you needed your passport, but other than that you had not a single clue. Harvey took your boarding pass and wouldn’t let you anywhere near a navigation screen. He somehow even convinced the flight crew to not say anything either. 

“Mr. and Mrs. Spector, welcome! Please, follow me and I will show you to your residence,” you can only assume it was some hotel staff that greeted you. It did warm a place in your heart to hear Mrs. Spector. 

Hardwood floors creaked under your boots as you stepped up with Harvey’s guidance. When you were inside, the warm scent of a fresh fire greeted you, as well as the sound. Harvey told you to just stand there for a moment, and you could hear a muffled conversation in the other room. 

“Okay, are you ready to take off your blindfold?” Harvey asked, pressing up behind you.

“For the love of god yes,” you giggled, letting your hands fall over his when he wrapped them around your waist. His hand came up to the back of your head and tugged the fabric off. 

Through squinting eyes, you looked around the room.

Wood floors, a comfy sofa, and a raging fireplace sat in front of you. The kitchen was off to your left and so was a dining room. You gasped, looking through the kitchen to see a window with huge trees, coated in a small layer of fresh snow. 

“Harvey-”

“We’re in Banff,” was all he said. You made a mad dash around the couch to get to the kitchen, exploring all the hallways of this cabin. 

“Harvey oh my god it’s beautiful.” Banff was a town in Alberta, Canada. With the most gorgeous mountain views of the Rockies, frozen over lakes and historic castles, it has been a bucket list place for you for pretty much your entire life. And you were here. 

You ran up the stairs, ditching Harvey to find a balcony or something to get outside and look. Through the master bedroom at the end of the hallway, there were a double set of doors that overlooked a forest. When you opened them, the bitter wind bit your face in the most refreshing way possible. 

The deck wrapped around, and you followed it to a breathtaking view. 

There, right in front of you, were some of the biggest peaks you had ever seen. Coated with white and jagged cliffs, the treacherous beauty of the mountains welcomed you. And the lake that was frozen over was dazzling with people skating. 

Tears almost formed in your eyes, but they quickly turned to ice in your lashes, clumping them together. It was just so perfect. Most couples enjoy a trip somewhere warm, but not you. You couldn’t stand the sun. This was your place. The one place that didn’t seem to put any pressure on you to do anything but enjoy it’s raw, natural beauty. 

“It’s supposed to snow tomorrow, first of the year,” Harvey said from behind you. When you turned, he had a few snowflakes in his hair, leather gloves out for you to take. “So, you think this place will do for the next two weeks?”

“Harvey… this is just- how did you even pull this off? Banff is impossible to get to at this time of year.” Mid November was prime time for visiting, and prime time for snowfall. And when it snowed in Banff, it was several feet at once. Made for perfect skiing, snowboarding, and tubing experiences. 

“I have my ways,” he smirked. “I just wanted us to be able to enjoy just that. Us. No one around to know who we are, no one around to bother us. It’s peaceful and quiet and secluded for us to do whatever we want.”

You gazed up and around again, “I can’t believe this. I don’t think you have any idea how excited I am, Harvey.”

“I think I have some idea,” he laughed. “I don’t think you have any idea how excited I am to spend this time with my wife.”

You blushed, resting your head on his shoulder. “I can’t wait to spend this time with my husband. Can you promise me something, though?” “Anything, my love,” he kissed your temple, then your forehead when you locked eyes.

“Will you please have a snowball fight with me in the morning and then cook me breakfast while we warm up by the fire?”

Harvey just laughed, hugging you tightly to him. “Yes, I would love to beat you in a snowball fight and then win back your love with pancakes and bacon.”

“What makes you think you’re going to win?”

“What makes you think you’re going to win?”

“Because,” you scoffed. “I am one hundred percent better at making snowballs.” “Which one of us played baseball?” Harvey gave you a cocky look. “I did. I’m gonna win.”

“We’ll see about that,” you pointed at him, heading back inside. “Any other surprises I should know about?” “Of course there are, but they’re surprises, Yn. That’s kind of the point, I’m not supposed to tell you anything. But, one of them is tonight. So we should start getting ready.”

Harvey had packed everything for you, so you had no idea what you actually had to wear. Curse him and his vague-ness. He wouldn’t tell you, no matter how many times you tried. Harvey just ignored you and your poking when he wouldn’t tell you. 

When he went to get dressed, you fixed your hair and did your makeup. Music was floating through the room as you sat at the vanity in the bathroom, Harvey off in the bedroom somewhere. There was a soft knock at the door and he stood there, leaning against it in a new suit you hadn’t seen before. 

It was all black, even the shirt was too. No tie, which was a dangerous look for him. His normally spiky hair was smoothed a little more since he had been growing it out a little. He had on a gold watch and cufflinks to match. 

“This is for you.” Harvey pulled a garment bag over his shoulder and hung it on the back of the door. 

He walked out, and you eyed the bag suspiciously. When you unzipped it, a gold clump of fabric flowed out. It was shiny, made from silk. When you got a good look at it, your jaw dropped to the floor. It had one strap and the fabric carried across your waist to the opposite hip, parting for a slit all the way up. It was almost a corseted top, it had some sort of boning in it to keep the neckline up. 

It was a little difficult to get on with all the folds, but you managed. 

“Harvey, can you come zip it up?” “Of course, my love.” His hands drew up your back, placing a kiss to your shoulder when he was done. “You look stunning, Yn.”

“Where on earth are we going?” You had to ask one last time. 

Harvey grabbed your hand, spinning you around in a circle to get a full look at you. “To a ball.”

“A ball? Seriously?” He just nodded at you, your obvious excitement pouring out of you. “Like, a real ball? With dancing and mingling and looking hot and mysterious?”

“Yes, especially the hot part,” he wiggled his eyebrows. “Are you ready to go?”

You practically running to the door was enough of an answer for him. A limo was parked outside and when the two of you got settled, there was some champagne poured. 

“To us,” Harvey said. “And to my best friend, and the love of my life. I cannot wait to do the rest of our lives with you, Yn. I love you so much.”

“I love you too, Harvey.”

I've been sick :<

I just wanted to share that i'm not gone. I just been sick so Daisy doesn't want me online much. Its super unfun being sick but Giovanni did give me his old switch so thats cool and been keeping me entertained. One of my favorite games (and the one i've been playing the most) is Disney Magical World 2! It has everything!! Alice in wonderland, Winnie the pooh, Stitch, The little mermaid worlds!! Lots of other disney characters! I don't have everything unlocked yet but its been super fun.

This is what i currently have my character in the game look like (I just named her Lorelai cause they let me use my name) - I thought it would be cool though to draw how i imagine my character to look like though since the hair options is alittle limited
