Does anyone has some thoughts on how Katherine interacting with the newsies on a regular basis (post strike) would look like? Specifically regarding the obvious economic/educational gap between them. And would like to share them.

We've seen already that she doesn't show any sign of prejudice (in the little screen time she gets in Livesies or West Endsies) by then again she was raised with a sociopath that is Pulitzer that threatened Jack's newsies and the man himself in front of her, treated her like a possession basically and the famous "why throw the shoe away if it's dirty, you can just use a polish" like it's a revolutionary idea (smh so hard, what the fuck)

Obviously she works for the Sun but it's hard to imagine she was living off the payroll from writing the reviews and had no support from her family.

It's obvious that she's shocked to see the conditions at the refuge which was an extreme but then again the lodgings or tenaments were that much better off.

And as to the education I'd imagine he gets full formal education while the newsies in majority would only get few years of basics yet she seems to know her way of writing (obv since she worked at the Sun) but it doesn't seem as if she used a fancy language making Children's Crusade easy to read. We know she makes fun of Jack's way of speaking ("for sure" moment) but she hasn't got her own "auspicious" moment unlike Davey

One of my favorite things about season five so far, especially after everything that happened with the Witch, is how John talks to Arthur.

He sounds so gentle, so genuine, so concerned for the well-being of his friend, and it breaks my heart to pieces. Listening back to the previous seasons really nails home how much John as a character has shaped himself and grown, even in an episode that revolved primarily around Arthur's guilt and grief. John sounds at peace almost, having found and cemented the parts of himself that he wants to keep, having finally sculpted out that identity he has been fighting tooth and claw for this entire time.

It's so unshakably obvious that isn't the Entity from Part One, smooth and suave and viciously angry at the world and the things beyond his control. This is John, kind and caring and, perhaps, maybe, a little petty in regards to a certain rotting skull.

Any wild guesses on what my favorite episode is?

In all seriousness, tonight (or maybe tomorrow morning) Im going to post the first of a series of analyzations of Helluva Boss. Starting with general overviews of each episode. Things like blink and you miss it details, easter eggs, foreshadowing, ect. As well as talking about parts of the episodes I feel get overlooked.

I will be doing one episode at a time, hopefully one a day. Would like some input though: Should I start with the pilot or episode 1?

shen qingqiu: brings his phone in so that he can spectate on (and occasionally participate in) Twitter thread arguments

shang qinghua: the type to have to shed any and all clothing in order to take a shit

liu mingyan: she’s reading whatever the cqms version of AO3 is

liu qingge: always sits down while using the loo and wills the piss/shit to leave his body as fast as possible.

mobei jun: has one of those little stools to help u shit better

luo binghe: tries to come into the bathroom when sqq is in there. asks sqq to come in when he’s using the toilet. (would let sqq piss on him)

yue qingyuan: reads scrolls on the loo. has a little wooden cabinet full of scrolls next to the loo. generally loves chilling while he sits on the loo.

Pride Rant Time! Honestly there is something really extra unsettling about how every pride you see people going OH NO HOW HORRIBLE and showing pictures of strangers they've decided to use as an example of the gross queers destroying the world or whatever, and it's usually either leather folks, Littles, or Pups and just. For real why. Besides being handy/lazy visual shorthand, what makes you see someone in a dog mask and think OH, EVIL! Like for any kink this sucks, but especially when they're already in probably a really vulnerable headspace to begin with so maybe don't? Attack them? What the fuck.

... I HAVE A LOT OF THOUGHTS here about assholes seeking out victims they can most conveniently damage (smelling earnest vulnerability as blood in the water) and they're nebulous and words are hard, but basically it boils down to if you do this, you're somehow an extra gross person in my brain. what the actual fuck is love about? i mean how freaking RANDOM is love??? "hey yeah remember this person you have met ONCE in your entire life? yeah they are your soulmate, only one, love of your life etc etc" or like "yeah so i know you have KNOWN this person for your entire life but... they are actually you know... THE ONE you wanna MARRY"????

how the fuck are those two talking about the same goddamn fuckin thing???

and like... you know why it's called "falling" in love?! BECAUSE IT IS SO RANDOM AND COULD LITERALLY MEAN ANYTHING. you fell and broke your leg -> oh yeah they are your forever crush where nothing ever happens, leaving a pain behind that makes you think of that incident. oh woops you just stumbled it's all good -> a passing crush. you fell hard and hit your head, probably got rolled over by a car -> it's a toxic relationship. you fell and got caught -> the love of your life was waiting for you to fall for them and caught you (WHAT?). you fall and take them with you and you end up giggling on the ground -> congrats, idiots!

or like whom you fall for??? for the person of the same sex, the opposite? another one entirely? you think you have a type and then this ONE person comes along and you're like "wait what". HUH??? HOW DOES THAT WORK. and like maybe there's a age gap, or a social status difference, or IDK WHAT and then people start being all weird about it???
