Finally!!

After 2.5 years of waiting and medical stuff, I was finally able to start Testosterone two days ago!! (I posted this on Twitter and completely forgot about Tumblr lol) My life completely turned around when I got an unexpected call from my doctor where she told me that I can finally start T now. Before that, I was told to not expect anything until october because of summer break, and due to long waiting times I thought I would have to hold on until next year...well, until the Trans Fairies decided to just say whoop whoop f3ck summer break time for Testo NOW

So why not celebrate the probably best event in my life with a quick drawing of me and the characters that helped me through these last long months of waiting the most!

To every Trans Person out there waiting for life-saving medical care, please keep going! No matter how rough the waiting might be, it certainly was rough for me, it is worth it! Stay strong and safe everyone, you're the coolest motherf3ckers to ever exist!!

Just a bit of lore relevant vent art (with terrible proportions bc apparently I mess that up horribly when I'm tired ugh. Watch me regret posting this tomorrow. The head size is already driving me mad bc it's too big, and I can feel myself wanting to abort this mission already) of Mourynn just, lying down on top of one of those large elevated Pale Tree roots far above the Grove (and far away from everyone else), and during the time between the early years and before the Personal story. Caithe is gone (Destiny's Edge), Wynne is gone (bc well, y'know...), even Faolain is gone (bc of Caithe in DE), and she's just feeling miserable, lost, and alone. (Her hair is in between her sapling hair and the Zhaitan hair, so it's grown out a bit bc she's depressed, and she's meant to be in the new outfit she designed, but I'm in the process of redesigning it a bit, so I've made a few tentative changes for now. Her collar is now just an extension of her clavicle leaves which can be put up like a collar, or can be draped down over her shoulders or back)

A (late) state of the garden, part 2!

This year I was determined to get blues and purples for my annuals, so naturally I came home with a sea of oranges and pinks. I'm also going to get blooms this year on all! three! hydrangeas!! in the front, which hasn't happened...ever! The first one I bought the year I got the house, and it's crazy to me it's as high as my chest now. One I bought the year after and it's not grown more than a few inches, so I'm wondering if I accidentally got a dwarf variety. The third (white) one I planted two years ago (and much too close to the big hydrangea), but with last year's terrible late frost of course I got nothing and was terrified it had died, but this year it's put on about a foot of growth already and has half-a-dozen buds on it. 🤩 I may move this one eventually a few feet over, but I'm going to enjoy this year's blooms first.

In the back box garden, I planted white salvia, some salmony zinnias, and some bronze and pink Liberty snapdragons that Hamlet keeps stomping on. Not sure what to do about that, but for now I've added some stakes and tied them loosely upright to hopefully deter him, though I have no idea how to protect the zinnias. I also planted some purple towering salvia that I'm completely in love with and will definitely pick up again--this box is about twenty yards from the house, so the height is perfect when I'm looking out!

In the front brick garden I planted more Liberty snapdragons (bronze, pink, and white), some Flamma twisted red celosia, and red calladiums. I used to pooh-pooh calladiums so much (why bother if they don't flower?) and now they're one of my favorite accent plants.

At the end of the driveway I planted two pots of red pentas since they always do so well there, and in the taller pot I did some white cleomes, which are new to me but doing well. I finally replaced the janky soaker hose there with a proper sprinkler, and both the pots & the jasmine are much happier. (The honeysuckle still looks like trash, but what can you do.) (Tear it up and plant more jasmine, that's what I can do.)

The hostas in the same area continue to be annoying princesses. Again, one hosta has come up and completely taken over the end of the lane, while the other five (all purchased at the same time! all planted at the same time and depth!) can barely be coaxed to put up a leaf or two until late May. Finally, my own tea olive in the front did also survive the frost (although it's going to look pretty weird for a few years, I think), and has put out a respectable number of blossoms this year, although I was hoping for more.

A good girl's guide to murder trilogy by Holly Jackson is my all-time favorite forever 🫶

It's a mystery, thriller series where good girl pippa fitz-amobi tries (and does!!!) to solve a murder for a class project. She's the only one that thinks that sal singh didn't kill his girlfriend, other than his younger brother ravi singh, and so they pair up and try to clear sal's name!!!

She recently dropped a stand alone back in April so if you're not feeling like reading three books hehe.

Basically main character bel's mom disappeared when she was really little and the town has been obsessed with her disappearance so obsessed her family agreed to a documentary. Only for her mom to reappear during filming??? Bel is Hella suspicious so with the help of a camera man ash, they're going to prove that bel's mom isn't who she says she is. DUN DUN DUHHHHHHH!!! Highly recommend if you like thriller and suspense books!!

There's also gonna be a AGGGTM TV show and it's gonna be on Netflix I'm so fucking proud

Art Attack Round-up 2024

I was excited to join in this yearly internet activity. While I didn't get to draw as much as I initially planned, I'd like to think I'm more of a quality over quantity type of person.

And all things considering this is the most that I've drawn consistently in...a while, actually. I always tried drawing AT LEAST one picture a month. Hopefully this is a good change of pace.

I came into this seeing all of these creative character designs, and getting to apply old AND new tricks to my style. It's a relief that I can still keep my quality up and still learn new things along the way.

Regardless of which team wins, getting to be involved in this year's Art Fight has been very fulfilling for me. And thanks to those who attacked me back - all of your art and characters are SO lovely. <3

I look forward to next year! :D
