I was motivated to draw more for this AU but the magic juice ran out (and I hated some redrawn panels I did) so I'll stop with this 3 panels :'D

But basically the plot was the same except that Chel was Vash and Wolfwood at the same time???? Like this scene between Chel and Tulio, if you know what I mean B)

I also think that the prison scene and this dialogue later in the movie: "But you know what, I'm feeling generous so you can I have my share! -You don't think Cortez could have gotten here before us and... -And what? Taken all of the REALLY big rocks? The scoundrel!" are peak Vashwood energy. But really the entire movie is Vashwood energy so you just have to watch it with your ship glasses like I did.

✨ pokémon AU! 🔴✨ clora is mainly fairy & psychic (bc shes sweet but also smart) whereas seb trends towards fire/dark (even tho i only ended up giving him 1 dark pokemon...shhh) i originally gave him a houndour, bc dark + guard dog was such a perfect combo for him, but arcanine ALSO suits him and is way cuter so i had to go with that 🥹 and i had to fit in a raven and a snake pokemon somewhere bc...cmon🥰 BAHAHA

Just in general I think trying to look to pre-late modern period history for validation of LGBT+ identities is an absolutely useless venture. Every single underlying human experience defined through the lens and framework of LGBT identity has always existed, but it's impossible to pin down Exactly who and what a figure might have been if they existed in this contemporary context and decided to self identify via these labels.

It's also a wildly reductive lens that flattens the complexity and variety of how sex and gender has been constructed across time in different cultures, how sexual norms have varied, etc. This is not a constructive approach to learn about history and you're never going to be able to fit historical figures neatly into little identity categories.

Waterpark au Sun and Moon now in color!!!

I still need to finish their ref sheets for art-fight but I’m so so happy to finally have them colored!

Moon’s platings are colored and textured to mimic wood grains, over that he is “painted” with varying tones of blues and teals.

Sun’s platings resemble painted Aztec stone with vibrant cool and warm colors, some of the “stone” remains bare.

Up close, guests can see that both animatronics designs have intentional weathering to really sell their imagined materials.

I'm not really a writer, and I also completely lose my confidence when I'm trying to explain my art processes. So this is probably an obvious, unhelpful platitude at best, but one thing I've realized is that you should allow yourself to be self-indulgent. If you're the primary target audience of your own work, it generates passion and keeps you inspired and motivated. I like to believe that people who see your creations are more likely to respond to them positively if they can sense that you're putting your heart and soul to them.
