Marc never thought he would get married. He never thought anyone would love him like that. But here he was on his wedding day dancing with someone who did love him, loved him more than he could ever hope. As the song started she wraps her arms around his neck as he found her hips and they swayed in time with the song. His eyes meet hers and he smiles. He had the rest of his life to look into these eyes, the rest of his life to hold her, the rest of his life to love her. Starting now everything in his life revolved around her. She is his life, his love, his…forever.

Steven was just as in love with her since the day they met. As the song filled the flat, he remembered watching their first dance from within the headspace. When he rights himself he looks into her eyes. She’s perfect. She’s everything. He smiles.

“’s alright Steven.” She says with a smile. Her smile lights up the whole room. He would do anything to get her to smile. She was the light of his life. The thing that made it all worth it. He pulled her in close, pressing his fore head to hers.

She and Jake were at a party, one of his underworld contacts he could technically call a friend invited them. They had been dancing all night and just when they were about to sit down their song come on. Jake laughs as she looks at him with a twinkle in her eye.

“Uno mas?” He asks with a knowing smile. She nodded and he puts his hands on her hips and they move together. One step forward one step back, hips moving side to side, foreheads pressed together. He holds her close. To him there was no one better, no one who could replace her. He was thankful to come home to her at night and she was loving and sweet, and adored him. He was loved, just as loved as the others. Just as much in love with him as he was with her.

Dennis Sr.: Hi there!

Gianni: This food tastes amazing! You did a great job, J, Mrs. B.

Gianni: Yeah, my mom wasn't much of a cook, but I can't complain. Always ate good.

Dennis Sr. laughs: I'm sure you did! I can't imagine food cooked by Royal chefs is all that bad!

Gianni chuckles: Yeah, it's alright.

Rainbow: And what about your dad's side? You know before he... went to jail.

DJ: Someone's been doing their homework...

Rainbow: What? I'm just trying to get to know him. Isn't that what we're here for?

Jennifer: Please excuse my mother. You don't have to answer these questions if you don't want to. You know I don't care about that kind of stuff.

Dennis Sr.: House? Try his room!

DJ: Alright, I'm eating upstairs.

Dennis Sr.: Well, it looks like you survived the interrogation portion of the evening, son. Now we've moved on to the roasting portion. You still interested in being involved with this family?

Gianni: Well... I imagine I can't take a roast to seriously from a family who still has their Halloween decorations up for some reason? It's nearly Spring!

Jennifer: And they are so tacky, too!

Barbatos' Birthday Surprise (Part Seven)

August 24

One of the backstage staff guides us to the green room, where we're greeted by the sight of a couple of people playing ping pong. Our arrival causes the person facing us to look up, and a smile forms on his face.

"Is that who I think it is?" he asks, causing his female opponent to turn around to look at us.

"It depends on who you were expecting," Barbatos quips. The two people at the ping pong table--I assume they're band members--laugh at his retort.

"Well, it's about time you finally showed up!" Okay, now I'm confused. Have they met before? I was under the impression that this was the first time Barbatos has seen Severa in the flesh, but maybe I was wrong.

"Pardon me for interrupting, but am I missing something?" I ask. The band members turn their attention to me. The man smiles while the woman gives me a once-over. Meanwhile, Barbatos sighs.

"You could say that I've become a bit of a joke amongst the fans," he replies. "They like to poke fun at my bad luck, you see." Barbatos pauses, glancing over at the band members. "I didn't realize they caught wind of it as well." He sounds bitter, which makes me wonder just how much he's been affected by the teasing.

"Believe me, it's not like that at all." A third member--another man--reveals himself as he gets off the couch and faces the two of us. "We've found your predicament to be rather unfortunate, actually. Up until now, something has always prevented you from seeing us live, and that sucks, especially since you seem to be one of our biggest fans."

"He's certainly been one of the only ones that's been around since our EP," the woman replies. "That's some real dedication right there."

"The important thing is that you're here now," the first man states. "And with a date, no less. Would you care to introduce us, Barbatos?" Barbatos clears his throat as a slight blush begins forming on his cheeks.

"This is MC," he responds. "MC, these are the members of Severa. The two that were playing table tennis when we arrive are Mereth--" The woman raises her hand. "--and Branrnon."

"And I'm Zerruder," the other man announces. "But you can call me Z. Everyone else does." If I recall correctly, all three of them sing as they play different characters. Mereth plays guitar, Branrnon the bass, and Z the drums.

"You should come sit down," Z adds. "Mere and Bran were in the middle of an exciting game of ping pong." The eye roll indicates his sarcasm, causing Bran to reach over and smack Z's shoulder.

"That can wait," Mere responds as Barbatos and I walk around the couch and grab a seat. "I wanna know more about this lil' situation." She gestures at the two of us. "I assume that you were the one to get him tickets, MC?" I nod my head.

"I won them over the radio. The DJ did add a few extra things to go along with it, including these passes. I initially didn't know how much Barbatos enjoyed your music, but I knew he was into Devildom metal, and so I thought it would make a nice birthday present."

"That's right!" Bran exclaims. "Your birthday was a couple days ago, wasn't it?"

"Yes," Barbatos answers. "Although this is one of the few years I'm celebrating it. I normally just treat it like any other day."

"Yeah, I can imagine, given your job and all."

"The Young Mas--I mean, Diavolo--insists that I should celebrate it more often, but until recently, I haven't really seen the point." I wonder why Barbatos corrected himself. Is he trying to sound more casual? If so, why? It's not like the members would berate him if he speaks formally, would they?

"What made you change your mind?" Z asks.

"I don't think it's a what, but rather a who," Mere responds before Barbatos can even open his mouth. "And that person is currently sitting right next to him."

"Something like that," Barbatos mumbles, his hand reaching over and squeezing mine.

"Cut it out, Mere," Bran tells her. "You're making him all flustered." Mere scoffs.

"I think you're blaming the wrong person."

"Mere, enough," Z pipes up. "I know you like a good love story, but Barbatos doesn't seem to want to talk about that right now, and I think we should respect his wishes."

"It's not that." Our attention turns to Barbatos. "I'm just not used to being read like an open book, that's all. My position requires me to be more private about my emotions." He takes a deep breath. "I do like MC. They're a good person." I catch Bran glancing over at a clock.

"Do you guys need to get ready?" I ask.

"Unfortunately, yes," Bran answers. "I really do wish we had more time to chat, though." This prompts Z to jump up and dash over to a nearby table, where he flips open a notebook, scribbles something in it, and tears off the page.

"Here," he states, handing it to me. "Stick it in your pocket so you don't lose it."

I need to show off my country a little bit! P'tit Belliveau is an artist from Canada, singing in chiac. What is chiac? It's actually a variant form of canadian french, spoken in the east of the country. It's honestly pretty cool sounding, and sadly not valued enough. Anyway, his videos are very 80's/90's graphics inspired (with a lot of weird ass CGI lately hahaha) and he just seems really friendly I love him

He was mostly doing japanese covers of kpop songs, with some original ones from time to time.

After the small fight with flour it was everywhere The ground,your clothes ,the kitchen,and some parts of y’all hair . “i swear to god, ask me one more time and i’m crashing this bitch,” riri tapped the gps, checking the arrival time, “we only have 10 minutes left. you that damn excited to see me in a swimsuit?’

face turning hot, you look out the window and bite back a giggle. the answer was actually yes. riri never wears form fitting clothing, hell it’s been a while since you’ve seen her in anything but a hoodie and sweats. save for the occasional moment when y’all were-

“are you for real thinking about my ass right now?” riri asked, snapping you out of your thoughts.

you jumped, whipping your head back around to look at her, “what? no! you trippin, ri.”

“i could see your goofy ass smile in the window reflection. fucking freak,” she rolled her eyes in mock annoyance, “we’re close, i’m sure you’ll live.”

you leaned back in your seat and spent the rest of the ride listening to your playlist and continuing to annoy riri.

as soon as y’all got to the hotel, you immediately flopped onto the bed and kicked your sandals off. “finally,” you sighed, “i’m exhausted.”

riri came through the front door with both luggages. “ion understand how you so exhausted when all you did was sit and bitch the entire time.” she threw a pillow at you and it bounced harmlessly to the floor.

“hey!” you shot up, “i was also the DJ and snack-man.” 

“oh, my bad ma,” she climbed into the bed next to you and kissed you, “how could i forget?”

you gigged and reached for her hand, enveloping it with yours. you bought the back of her hand to your mouth, planting a kiss on it. “i can’t wait to spend this weekend with you, baby.”

riri snuggled under you, placing her head beneath your chin, “i am too. if you quit getting on my nerves i might just be able to have fun.”

you playfully swatted her arm as she dozed off to sleep, her breaths tickling your neck. you ran your fingers through her braids, playing with the ends until you fell asleep too; your chest rising and falling with ri’s.

Hey lovely lot - i am officially back on Tumblr, so have this! MERRY CHRISTMAS! (We're almost at Christmas lol) I was inspired by the song 'daddy' by Psy. Enjoy <3

Peter could hardly hear himself through the loud bass of the music in this club in downtown New york. It was called 'Fever' and the place was glittering with christmas decorations. Christmas tree lights glimmered against the mirrored glass walls, giving a trippy effect, as though the mirrored rooms went on forever like those in the palace of Versailles in Paris. The lights sparkled like expensive jewellery just waiting for purchase, and Peter swore this was the last time he was going to one of these swanky 'Avengers' parties. It was christmas, though, so turning the invite down would of been hard to do, especially when it was hosted by Nick Fury, aka, 'the guy with one eye' as Peter recalled.

Drinks and typical 'cheesy nibbles' were handed out as well as usual canapes, though Peter stayed away from any form of cocktail, shot, or mixers. He politely ordered himself a diet cola, and sat at the bar alone, watching as Steve and Bucky bickered over who had the best novelty christmas hat, and Peter rolled his eyes, his gaze faltering suddenly though, when he saw Mr Stark turn up.

Jesus, the man looked too good. It seemed with every party he went to, Tony only dressed better and better each time, and Peter's mouth went dry, almost about to drop his glass, his spidey reflex's caught it straight away. Peter was thankful the sound of the bass has quietened down some, giving him actual time to think straight, and he hopped off his bar stool to trot over to Mr Stark's side, when the bass of the DJ's music started up again with the thump, thump of some korean pop music.

Tony noticed Peter coming over to him just in time, but not before ordering his own drink at the bar across the ways there. It was a rather large whisky on the rocks, and Tony downed it in one.

Dear god, the man was handsome, wearing an armani suit with red velvet inlays, as well as a red quilted waistcoat, and suit jacket which he let hang open too casually. Fury had mentioned the dress code to be relaxed, not formal, but Tony just HAD to dress up. It was christmas, after all. Tony's brow wriggled in acknowledgement when he saw Peter, giving him a smile. Clearly, Tony was sort of already drunk, Peter could smell booze on him, and not just from the drink he'd just had.

"Hey, ki- I mean, uhm, Mr Parker, yes...Merry Christmas..hic.." Tony greeted, almost tipsy.

"Mr Stark, you're so drunk, did you drink before you got here?!" Peter exclaimed, stated the obvious, to which Tony chided him and gave him a finger wiggle.

"Uh, uh uh, sweetheart, I am co host of this party, therefore, I can do what i like, when i like, and show up when i like..oh!" He realised this song that was playing was a new favourite of his, and he looked at Peter, setting his glass of soft drink down.

"Why don't you come dance with daddy stark, hm?" Tony invited, to which Peter's face went as red as a tomato.

'Daddy Stark?!' Oh lord, was his (one of many) christmas presents about to come true?! He better not be dreaming right now.

"Mr Stark, I really don't think i..." Peter retaliated, but too late, Tony already pulled him in by the wrist into his arms, and Peter's spidey senses were shot when he understood some of the english in the song. Hey, where'd you get that body from? I got it from ma daddy!

The bass kicked in just then, and Tony suddenly had Peter against the wall just out of sight behind a stone pillar, immediately kissing him with that alcohol fueled willingness, and Tony ground his hips into the younger.

Holy shit, the bass of this song was too much, and Tony was timing the grind of his hips into Peter's with utmost accuracy to the beat of the song.

How you like me now.. the song blared and overloaded Peter's senses as well as the kiss, to which Tony was busy deepening, a hand of his moved up to gently hold Peter's cheek, pulling away, his brown eyes smouldering at the young Parker, reflecting the twinkle of christmas lights in the dark orbs. I got it from my da-da-da-daddy.. Peter could only look at Tony, absolutely gobsmacked that Tony had did that. It was the best present ever, and Peter looked like he wanted to talk, but no words came out, just a defenseless sigh.. "D-daddy....." Peter meeped out, only able to do one thing, which was to return the kiss, and he was relieved when Tony returned such a kiss. "Merry Christmas Mr Parker..." Tony said, his voice as smooth as the velvet in his suit. It dawned on Tony that this was the very first kiss he'd shared with Mr Parker, and his felt his tanned skin blushing smugly, even if he was a bit tipsy. "Merry Christmas, Daddy.."

Grandma's Baby: Start of Something New

Today is my Grandmother Florence's bEarthday.

She joined the ancestors a while ago.

I was 7 then.

Young.

But because I lived with her, the impact she has on my life was powerfully present.

Still is.

As I sit here in her Daughter's home, at this "in-between" stage of my life, I am finding myself reflecting on her hopes & dreams. Wondering if I'm living them out.

She played the piano & sang in the choir.

I don't play any instruments, but I am music artist, and I hear her telling me that my voice is the greatest instrument I could ever have. She loves that I'm thinking for myself.

That's all she's ever wanted for me. To be free. To be happy. To be prosperous. Because she knows my worth. Always saw my potential, and nourished it. The greatest wish I could fulfill of hers is to continue to break old paradigms of confinement, hustling... of serving some exalted being outside of myself. To come home to myself.

Because aspects of her literal self live within my womb.

So when I speak, when I heal, when I just allow myself to feel; to nurture myself and allow myself to be nurtured... she is glad.

When instead of judging my Mother; being angry, feeling frustrated, annoyed, unworthy, sad, or "unseen"; I just accept her. Appreciate her.

Accept myself with all of my Chit too, and just treasure our love. Honor our reflections. Give her the grace that Grandma may not have been able to give her while giving it to myself as well. Take space as I need. Just fill that space with Love & Wisdom.

Billboard USA Exclusion Zone Episode 6 (03/18/2023)

Remember two or three weeks ago when I said that there's big rift or differences between Global 200 and Global Excl US chart? Well the rift is getting more obvious when you look at the chart this week where a certain country artist album bombed the Global 200. But, in this chart he only charted one song. Well let's talk about it in detail soon.

16. "on the street" by j-hope ft. J Cole

You know J Cole has stated that his career from 2013 onward is always trying to erase "Work Out", his first charting hit, from people's memories because Nas didn't like the song. Well not only is the beat to this song is significantly worse than "Work Out", but you can't even stay on beat. I am not a fan of J Cole and even I'm disappointed in this.

42. "Shorty Party" by Cartel de Santa ft. La Kelly

This sounds like if "Therefore I Am" by Billie Eilish was 50% less good and in Spanish and the song was sung by Pop Smoke.

103. "Last Night" by Morgan Wallen

So I am in this community filled with chart nerds and music reviewers. And the running joke is always that Morgan Wallen, as much as he's one of the biggest artists in America, never charted in Global Excl US chart. Even with the album nuke that happened in Global 200, people expected that the song won't chart. But thanks to Canada and Australia, we have the first Morgan Wallen song to debut.

This song and Morgan Wallen's popularity as a whole has been a contention in the music twitter sphere because he seems to be more popular after the n word incident. This incident brings up the debate of separate the art from the artist. I hate to say it but the whole Morgan Wallen persona has always been that he's drunk asshole. So there's still lingering sense that the incident is him in the song. In Last Night too he talked about a breakup and there's a mentioned of alcohol in it. So yeah you can't really separate the art from the artist here.

But that raise another question, why is his popularity in the United States is massive despite what the stan twitter led you believe. Well the truth is most of the Morgan Wallen's listeners aren't on twitter. They're the silent majority and the silent majority is overall the most powerful listeners in America at least. And also that he has embraced streaming, it created the perfect formula for US popularity but not for worldwide.

This also proves that popular music has become more regionalized thanks to the streaming era. Just look at the stark differences between Hot 100, Canadian Hot 100, UK Official Chart, and Japan Hot 100. Yeah they might have some overlap, but most of the songs that appeared on these charts catered to those regions. This is a stark difference even just from six years ago. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

Phew that was a lot that I have to say about Last Night. Thank god after that it'll be brief. This song is just your standard reggaeton from a guy that most Americans knew from his song with 6ix9ine.

The low end of this song is fucked I'm sorry. It's like there's an earthquake in the middle of a wedding.

This sounds like if Clipping circa their horrorcore era made a Brazilian song and just forgot to mix the vocal properly. Also I heard that most Brazilian songs sampled Say It Right percussion so take that as you will.
