#look if bellarke have a tragic ending

Idk if you’ve already made a list or whatnot but do you have like a top 10 fav ships? From any media or anything, like all time
I'm always happy to blabber about former/current hyperfixations so this question is perfect. This is in no particular order except for the first one, they will always be my #1:
kyoru (Kyo Sohma/Tohru Honda) from Fruits Basket: The 👏🏻 ship 👏🏻 ever 👏🏻 They invented love, their relationship has the perfect development and resolution, they truly love and understand each other and have such amazing character arcs both individually and together. Kyo's realization that he loves Tohru is my favorite episode in the entire show and it's constantly on repeat in the back of my mind: "She didn't erase all my pain or offer to solve all my problems. She didn't fix what was broken, but that's not what I needed anyway. What mattered most was that she stayed."
hualian (Hua Cheng/Xie Lian) from TGCF: Another couple that invented love. I sprinted through these books while season 2 was being animated and the absolute faith and trust those two have in each other is unparalleled. "What matters is you, not the state of you" has been imprinted on my brain. I cried so many times while reading these books, they were amazing, definitely one of my favorite stories ever.
mikayuu (Mika/Yuu Hyakuya) from Seraph of the End: These boys... I'm still actively reading the chapters from this manga despite having no fuckin clue what's going on with the plot all because I'm so invested in these boys. Devoted to each other since they were kids, the epitome of "I'd burn down the world to save you". Everything they do is for each other, they are always each other's first choice in everything. And we got a canon confession which is insane to me. I'll never be over them.
satosugu (Gojo Satoru/Geto Suguru) from JJK: Probably the ship that makes me the most emotional in the worst way. I'm a sucker for a good tragedy and those two fit the mold perfectly. The absolute love they have for each other even after they've split makes me so emotional. If you don't see their relationship as romantic idk what to tell you, you're just blind. Jjk 0 and the Gojo being sealed are two scenes that fuck me up each time without fail. I could rave about them for hours.
itafushi (Itadori Yuuji/Fushiguro Megumi) from JJK: The boys I'm best known for. Now, I enjoyed them as a ship from the beginning but it wasn't a true "they're everything to me" until the Itadori Extermination Arc. Yuuji's "you'll only be hurt if you're with me" and Megumi's "start by saving me" had me GAGGED. That's when I really started to pay attention and went back and became extremely invested instead of a casual enjoyer. They've always done their best to watch each other's backs and stick together. 216 fucked me up SO BAD, and everything Yuuji has done since them is to try and get Megumi back. They love each other so much, they are the parallel to stsg that will make it. I don't know how anyone can read the manga and not see how much they love each other.
bellarke (Bellamy Blake/Clarke Griffin) from The 100: This was my SHIP back in high school. I was obsessed with The 100 back in the day and these two were everything to me. Enemies to friends to lovers is my favorite dynamic, and these two fit that bill perfectly. Everything about their relationship was so perfectly set up for them to be endgame and yet the writing for the last few seasons was SO FUCKING BAD that I couldn't even watch the last season. From what I hear, they totally switched up Bellamy's character and he switched up on Clarke so quickly when he's always been her #1 supporter after they became friends. Their friendship was my favorite thing about the show, they truly were each other's right-hand man and constantly looked out for each other. Still pissed about what we could have had.
akiangel (Aki Haykawa/Angel Devil) from Chainsaw Man: Another tragic ship. I cannot wait to see these two animated together. I binge read all of Chainsaw Man (which was like 98 chapters at the time?) in two days and it rewired my brain. The staunch hatred/dislike of each other's kind out of principle to slowly realizing that they actually do care about each other was so good. They have such a subtle chemistry and relationship, it was one of my favorites in the series. Aki reaching out a hand to save Angel and them holding onto each other during the Bomb Girl Arc is probably my favorite scene in the entire manga, I can't wait for them to get their flowers once it's animated.
tododeku (Shouto Todoroki/Izuku Midoriya) from MHA: Narrative foils. What more can I say. These two have so many parallels in their arcs and have such a great relationship. Idk how this ship isn't more popular with how healthy their relationship is and how it started off with such strife. Deku also means so much to Todoroki and you can see that throughout the entire series that their friendship means the world to him. They give each other such a good support system, I adore them.
bokuaka (Bokuto Koutarou/Akaashi Keiji) from Haikyuu: Simp behavior, the both of them. You don't really see it initially, but these two are obsessed with each other. The Fukurodani v Mujinazaka game was so incredible for diving into their characters and relationship more! Finding out that Akaashi only came to Fukurodani because he saw a cute jock play ONE game was so funny because you don't expect him to be a love at first sight character in the slightest. He and Bokuto work so well together, they balance each other out and understand each other on such a deep level, you can't convince me they aren't in love. They bring out the best in each other and know how to get the other out of their head.
zelink (Princess Zelda/Link) from Legend of Zelda: This is specifically going to be focused on botw/totk zelink because those are the games where their relationship is explored the most, but MY GOD. Those two make me weak. Link is just this autistic/selectively mute dude who's just trying to do his job and Zelda is so jealous of his freedom and ease of being able to do his assigned role without trouble that seeing the development of their friendship/relationship through the memories was my favorite part of the game. Their bond is so strong, they truly become each other's biggest link in the chain of their support system. Totk in particular made me cry multiple times because of the tragedy of realizing what happened to Zelda that imagining what Link must be feeling upon the discovery fucks me up. They never stop fighting to protect each other and never lose faith in each other.

Fic Stats Meme
Rules: Give us the links to your fic with the most hits, second most kudos, third most comments, fourth most bookmarks, fifth most words, and fic with the least words.
I was tagged by @wikiangela and @wildlife4life
I don't have that many published fics so this is probably going to repeat kasoaksoaksa
Most hits: i won't let nobody hurt you: (3k words)
"Hello?" "Hi, is this Evan Buckley?" A voice he doesn't recognize asks and he's nodding as he runs a hand over his face trying to chase the rest of the sleep away. "Yeah, that's me." "We're calling from Durand School because you're listed as a contact for one of our students, Christopher Diaz?" or the one where Buck picks up a sick Christopher from School
Second most kudos: what if one of these days i go and change your name: (2,7k words)
So what? Edmundo Diaz wants to marry Evan Buckley. It's not a new development. The urge just had never been as intense as it is right now as he steals glances at him but it's always been there. And he can't get the smile off his face over the way Buck has his last name across his back and hasn't thought to remove the jacket even though he doesn't need it anymore now that he's out of the building and he's not actually supposed to be working. or Eddie is ridiculously in love with Buck for 2,7k words.
Third most comments: it's i won't let nobody hurt you again
Forth most Bookmarks: This one is a tie.
this surprise ending i’m depending on (could be the story of another us): (3,3k words) (this one is my personal favorite soakoskas)
Buck is on a date. And Eddie is heartbroken. That much he knows. That's not the problem. Well, it is a problem, but not the problem at the moment. The problem is that he's heartbroken in a non-tragic way so he doesn't know how to make himself feel better besides moping around in his living room. no dialogue, Eddie is pining and Buck shows up at his house after a date(this doesn't have a happy ending tho)
tick tock goes the clock: (1k words) (constantly forget i posted this one oskaoksaoksa)
Buck always calls back. The lack of reaction makes Eddie move faster. Scream louder. But nothing changes. The storm is raging. The clock is ticking. or Buck gets struck by lightning. And Eddie is counting down the seconds.
fifth most words: I will never get over you (The 100/Bellarke): (1,5k words)
this one is a spec fic for the finale of season 5 and i haven't looked at it since i posted it in 2018 and almost orphan it every few months, but she's still there. I don't like her tho oskaoskaoskasokaosk
fic with the least words: it's tick tock goes the clock again because she's a tiny thing i wrote in the middle of the night because I couldn't stop thinking about this particular scenario
I genuinely have no idea who to that because I saw so many of these in my dash today, so i don't know, i'm not gonna tag anyone

some gratuitous bellarke ranting
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I wanted to discuss the implications of the decision process behind Bellarke not happening after a lovely fan shared an Interesting (*eye twitch*) piece of information given by Eliza during the recent Survival 5 convention.
It’s very telling just how mutually exclusive the question of whether or not to move forward with canon Bellarke was re the 100 writers deciding upon a happy vs tragic ending for the show:
Canon bellarke + the heroes triumph (hopeful ending) vs. the tragic destruction of bellarke + the battle is lost (bleak ending)
In other words, this confirms that if Bellamy and Clarke had actually gotten together then the writers wouldn’t have been able to go through with the trash, grimdark, hopeless ending they’d come up with as a potential resolution--why? Because Bellarke’s “together” (a.k.a. the consistent message of the show from s1-s6) was the epitome of hope in the 100, emblematic of goodness prevailing over darkness. The entire trajectory of the show and the way it ended was singlehandedly dependent on Bellamy and Clarke’s relationship, more specifically whether or not they became a canon romantic couple.
If they had gotten together, a hopeless ending would simply not be possible because Bellamy and Clarke working Together was always the paradigm for hope, redemption, and rebirth in a landscape of death and destruction.
It was an all-or-nothing decision re having Bellarke finally happen after years of buildup, which guaranteed a “happy” / hopeful ending for the show, vs callously destroying that relationship (by the heroine’s own hands, to add insult to injury), which ensured the end of the human race. Humanity was doomed after failing the final task, and procreation was no longer possible. They couldn’t “do better,” and there was no hope for a younger generation.
All that being said, it’s logical to conclude that the alternative ending that involved Bellarke becoming canon + saving the day (as they’ve always done) would’ve also entailed Bellamy and Clarke rebuilding the world and passing on Monty’s legacy of “doing better” to a younger generation--very likely Bellamy and Clarke’s own child, if you bother looking at the multitude of Kabby and Marper parallels the show has pushed, not to mention all of the ways that Bellamy and Clarke have acted as parental figures since s1.
Taken altogether, this only goes to show just how integral Bellarke’s romantic relationship was to the fundamental message of the show, which unsurprisingly crumbled to pieces after losing its backbone. Reflecting back on how many times JRot has tried diminishing the significance of their relationship and belittled fans for “misinterpreting” the blatant romantic subtext for Bellarke, all I can say is a big fuck you to him and to all of the writers who decided to erase six seasons worth of consistent storytelling in favor of a mediocre, half-baked, grimdark joke of an ending.
On a more positive note, everyone who continues to love Bellarke as much as I do can feel vindicated knowing that their power remains unmatched and that the 100 would be nothing without their relationship--working Together, side by side, as they were always meant to be 🤷‍♀️

I see so many people worried about chenford in the context of Alexei or what's his name. They think he really won't give them to us or if he did he won't have them end up together or something. I know he's said some very questionable things and it seems he doesn't like the attention they got but with how popular they are and the writing so far I would think it's happening but idk the writing in S4 was tragic
I think it’s definitely happening at this point… I was only 90% convinced until the end of S4 (because of the bad writing and my Bellarke trauma), but the S4 finale was one of those “we can’t really just toe the line anymore” moments. They jumped over the line. I would say maybe they’d ignore it for a bit to drag it out more but with the promo and the way Eric has been talking I really don’t think they will.
I don’t expect the writing to be perfect (maybe not even that good idk) but I do expect the individual scenes to be awesome because Eric and Melissa are awesome. For me the writing for chenford hasn’t personally been my ideal after S2 but I think if we look at it as a whole chenford at least is still one of the best ships I’ve ever seen. And S4 of the show as a whole… yeah we won’t talk about that. S3 went downhill and S4 fell off the cliff overall quality wise.
I agree about alexi, he seems a little weird about how popular they are and is definitely no excited jonas pate but I don’t think he’s quite jroth either. We’ll get chenford.

Bellarkes really waited SEVEN YEARS for their endgame and Jason did them that 😂😂😂😂😂 I can't believe it. Im sorry but Bellarke stans have been terrible to Clexas for years and the one thing they had over us was that Bellamy was alive and Lexa was dead and now look what. I will be petty for a bit and feel a lil bad later. Like I thought for sure they were going to be endgame. I bailed after Lexa died so im not really sure what happened since but did Bellarke even kiss??? Or was it just years of hugs and half touches because if so then yikes 😬 How is it that Clexa still managed to have more in the little time we had and with such a tragic ending? Let me go read a Clexa fic as I'm in a great mood 😌

hi rosy! i'm sure you moved on just like the rest of us (hopefully) but during a cameo recently, Eliza herself confirmed Bellarke was written as romantic and both her and Bob were told to act like that, but then they changed direction at the very end. We knew THAT already and all, but still.... *inserts gif of Captain Holt's VINDICATION*
Tumblr media
lol
I just saw that on twitter.
We did know that already. It was written as romantic and then they swerved in season 7 for whatever reasons, it doesn’t matter. The story being told WAS romantic. That’s the story we were watching and we WERE NEVER DELUSIONAL.
The only reason we need her to tell us that is that half the fandom (and the writers sometimes and definitely in s7) were trying to gaslight us and say it wasn’t.
Liars and fools.
Them changing the story at the last minute doesn’t mean it wasn’t the story for the first 6 seasons.
BUT it was bad storytelling. If they wanted Clarke and Bellamy to NOT end up together, they should have ADDRESSED the bellarke romance and had it fail, or had them get together in AT LEAST confession, and then have the tragic death and left her alone. That was how they could have swerved while still telling the story. Instead they pretended like it was never there at all. Which, is dumb, because like I’ve been telling you all this time, you HAVE to stick to the text. The canon cannot be changed, although your perception of it can be. You can adjust what it means by what comes later or how you look at it, but YOU CANNOT ERASE IT.
Season 7 erased canon. It was a serious narrative failure. It caused their whole show to fall apart as a story. You can’t build a show around the backbone of Clarke and her relationship with Bellamy and then pull the backbone out of it.
If they wanted to not go romantic, they had to keep the backbone and adjust it to the queer platonic relationship some people saw it as. Or give them the HINT of consummation of this burning love and turn it terribly tragic with his death. It would make us Bellarker’s feel rotten, but it wouldn’t have ruined the story. Instead they just ripped out the backbone, shot the heart in the heart, and left the brain wandering around brain dead. SO STUPID. Imagine a brain dead body without the spine or heart? It collapses and can’t go anywhere.
Am I making up this metaphor to be dramatic? I am not. Those are JASON ROTHENBERG’S words. She’s the head. He’s the heart. Their relationship is the backbone of The 100.
Bellarke was the central relationship of The 100 and it was romantic, super slow burn, but romantic. That stopped, for WHATEVER reason, and the writers failed the story because they didn’t address how or why it stopped they just pretended it wasn’t there.
You CAN’T actually put any meaning into a story because it’s random inkblots. A story is not a rorsharch test for the audience. There IS a purpose to your story. It does have a meaning that you gave it. It’s a path towards meaning. And you can see how that’s true when showrunners just flip the script for no narrative reason and decide they’re god, they can do what they want.
Hollywood sometimes is incompatible with meaning and story.
They are looking for money or flash and dazzle, or political clout, or even message.
No matter what you watch, hollywood is ALWAYS at risk of selling the story out for hollywood motives. ALWAYS. I’m beginning to think hollywood has an ending problem. They don’t know how to make good endings. They don’t know how to carry long form stories through to a resolution. Perhaps they can do movie or even a season. But wrapping things up satisfactorily? Maybe it’s hard because hollywood is about glamour... the appearance of things, and not the essence. So they get to the end of a story where the essence is revealed and idk, they just have no respect for it? Too many people have too many opposing motives? They want more money or they want to appease conservatives or they have a hidden agenda of perpetuating some sort of religious message that happiness can only be found when you submit to the lord and are reborn in heaven (ask me if i don’t think the CW has that philosophy? oh i’ll tell you. yes i do. too many ‘heaven’ endings are suspicious. it’s not like anyone thinks they’re GOOD endings.)
Anyway, we were right. It was always about Bellarke. Until it was not. Which ruined it. SO DUMB.
Dear writers... learn from their mistakes. We should not do that to our stories.

Author Reveal of the TROPED Choice: Western Fics
With a crazy year just at our backs, and a hard time still looming, the theme of a Western feels apt. Harrowing tales of struggle, success, and triumph over adversity seem to fit right in with the tales of struggle, success, and triumph we’ve faced this year, and boy, oh, boy did our authors rise to the occasion! Thanks to everyone who participated in this event, and we hope you’ll join us in our next one, coming (very...very) soon!
———
It’s The Chance Of A Lifetime (In A Lifetime Of Chance) (Rated T) [Emori x Gustus] by @sailawaymayday
Summary: Emori gets in trouble with the law, and is given the choice of jail or time working at a dude ranch. She’s never even touched a horse before, but anything beats jail, right? And what happens when ranch life might just be the best things that’s ever happened to her?
if the morning light sets in, we’ve cheated fate again (Rated T) [Bellarke] by @she-who-the-river-could-not-hold
Summary: The wild west is unforgiving. Bellamy Blake and his sister are on the run with a bounty on their heads, and that’s just the beginning. They stumble upon a town that’s on the verge of ruin, plagued by a mysterious illness and only populated by other teenagers. With help from both Blake siblings, the town’s leader is hopeful that they can help discover the root of what’s going. And maybe Clarke Griffin will in turn help Bellamy discover more about himself along the way.
What better way to raise hell (Rated NR) [Clarke x Josephine] by @excuseyouclarke
Summary: After a tragic end to their high life of scamming and robbery, Clarke makes a drastic move to keep Josephine alive. Now they’re moving to a ghost town, the only place that’s safe for them, and where Josie will fit in.
It was supposed to be a quiet life, somewhere to see their days out together. But Clarke’s not made for a quiet life, she buys the old Saloon and brings a dead town back to life. But her wild days soon come and catch up with her - and desperate times mean desperate measures.
Mountain Lion Mean (Rated M) [Gen Fic] by @kinetic-elaboration
Summary: Marcus Kane’s body shows up again six months after his disappearance, in the master bedroom of the Kane ranch house, holding a new will in one of its skeletal hands. Arkadia hasn’t seen this much excitement since his stepdaughter was investigated for his murder—the inquiry was dropped, of course, because the body was never found. Now the house, the land, the accounts, the bank stocks, and a previously unknown stockpile of cash in the backyard all belong to Clarke Griffin and her husband.
Funny how no one knew Clarke was married.
And now it looks like the bank won’t foreclose on the Blake Family ranch after all.
you will be the light (Rated T) [Harper x Murphy] by @reggieshamster
Summary: On his way to Sanctum to start a new life (and flee from his past), Murphy comes across the nearly abandoned Arkadia, a town still clinging to the old ways of life and dealing with a nameless outlaw threatening their continued survival. A highwayman comes riding— riding—riding— (Rated M) [Gabriel x Josephine] by @reggieshamster

Kissin’ ‘Tav Blake (Rated T) [Linctavia] by @thelittlefanpire

Eden Lake is a town that had been cursed with a drought for over a century. A curse that began the day Lincoln, the onion man, was killed.
This is the story of how these curses came to be and intertwined to change the lives of their curse-bearers forever.
For It’s Your Misfortune (Ain’t None of My Own) (Rated T) [Memori] by @the-most-beautiful-broom
Summary: Emori feels Wells stand up straighter, and Gaia sits up from her crouch on the steps.
“Head down, Doc,” Emori says.
There’s a step on the boardwalk, then another.
“Give us a prayer, Gaia,” Wells says.
Another explosion, and more shots in the distance, and the steady steps on the boardwalk.
“Judge between us and our enemies,” Gai’s voice floats down from the stairs. “Stir up thine own strength along us, give not this battle to the strong, but those who ask thy defense. Grant a full reward as it is due.”
“Amen to that,” Murphy mumbles.
“Amen,” Gaia says.
“Emori, darling,” a light voice drawls, “I’m back.”
forever in a moment (Rated T) [Bellamy x Harper] by @probably-voldemort
Summary: A time machine mishap leaves Harper and Bellamy stranded in the 1800s.
From fake pasts to a fake marriage, they’re prepared to do everything they needed in order to make it in the past.
But how can they tell where the make believe ends and reality begins?
Honorable Mention of this submission to TROPED’s Non-Anon Collection:
And You Know That Wyoming’ll Be Your New Home (Rated T) [Memori] by Anonymous
Summary: The man who calls himself Murphy rides west from Sangeda on a borrowed horse.

an interview with @osleyakomwonkru (she/her) what are you working on right now? Several things! I’m the queen of many WIPs (let’s not even talk about the ones that are languishing in the limbo of old fandoms). But my priorities right now are my own Season 7  and the promptfills that I’m doing for Bellarke Writers for BLM (but not for Bellarke). I started working on my Season 7 fic last summer as soon as 6x13 aired because I couldn’t wait nine months to find out what happened to Octavia, I needed to answer that myself. So I spent months writing and planning and researching and compiling lore so that I could answer that question myself. Started posting it episode by episode at the beginning of 2020. Then pandemic got in the way of me finishing it before the official season 7 started airing, so right now the first 9 episodes are up, and the last 7 will be up after the official season 7 is finished. So if you want a season 7 that has a bit less planet hopping, more Bellamy, more TALKING and characters taking the time to sort through issues rather than the season 7 we’ve been having, then please check it out! what’s something you’d like to write one day? I’d like to actually finish and publish the myriad of original works I have in a state of perpetual incompleteness. I’ve been writing stories ever since I could hold a crayon, and I’ve never stopped. But the past decade I’ve been focused on a lot of fanfic. what is the fanwork you’re most proud of? Well, I love all of my word-babies, and I’m super proud of my S7 fic as mentioned above, but outside of that series, the fic that holds a special place in my heart is “fly away to heal my broken spirit (there might be peace on the other side)”, which is an Octavia-centric character study written between seasons 5 and 6, whereupon landing on the new planet, Octavia takes off on her own and takes the time she needs to heal from the pain of her past. why did you first start writing fic? Well, the reasons why I first started writing fic are perhaps different than what they are now. I started writing fic when I was a child, when I didn’t even know it was something other people did, let alone something people shared with one another (this was back in the Days of Yore before the Internet, so while now I know fanfic was going on at that time, it wasn’t easily accessible). The longest fic I’ve ever written was when I was a preteen, and it was 943 pages, handwritten, and it was a self-insert RPF where I became best friends with Alanis Morissette. Back then, I wrote fic because I wanted more stories, more adventures with the characters I loved, and in the case of that self-insert, I wanted to be a part of those adventures. But now I write fic for different reasons. Now I write mostly because I want to address the parts that canon leaves out. The parts that aren’t “exciting” for a TV audience, because they’re not full of flashy explosions and fights and whatnot, but that I want to see because they’re a vital part of the character journeys - the talking, the healing, the things that should be addressed so it makes sense to go from A to B in the storyline but tend to be swept under the rug. I’m in a fandom for the characters, so I want to see them and their thoughts and feelings addressed properly and not just get shuttled from one Plot to the next. So as this applies in this fandom, that mostly revolves around letting characters take the time to talk to each other, to sort out their issues, stuff like that. Because after everything they’ve been through, they need this! what frustrates you most about fic writing? Too many ideas. I have so much I want to write, but I also don’t want to abandon projects so it hurts to have to put ideas on the backburner. Also - middles. I often know how I want a story to start and how I want it to end, but the part in the middle is always a bit fuzzier. Middles are hard. what are your top five songs right now? Lunatica - Heart of a Lion (perfect Octavia song!) Icon for Hire - Supposed to Be (also a good Octavia song) Beth Crowley - Don’t Think Just Run (ditto) Really Slow Motion - Unbroken (same) Miley Cyrus - Mother’s Daughter (Hope’s theme song) what are your inspirations? Music is a lot of my inspiration. I have an entire Octavia playlist, and Spotify is really good at recommending more songs to go on it. Spotify has the only useful Internet algorithm. Also, just those moments in canon where you go WTF and you’re like… I need to fix this. Or, “there has to be more than just this”. A lot of scenes demand more than what we saw on screen, so I’m here to provide.
what first attracted you to Octavia? what attracts you now? I started watching t100 between seasons 4 and 5. The specific reason why I started watching was Chai Hansen (Ilian), because he’d just been cast on Shadowhunters, and he was hot, so I went looking to see where else he’d appeared and happened upon this show. So I watched some of his scenes on YouTube, and was intrigued by this chick (Octavia) he was with. Then the next scene I saw was Octavia winning the Conclave in 4x10 and making her speech of unity, and I was sold. I was all “I need to know who this girl is and how she got here”.
So I went back to the beginning, and yes, she was the one. I have A Type when it comes to fandom favourites, and she fits it to a T - the misunderstood badass with a tragic past and a dark side. Octavia Blake, Regina Mills, Magnus Bane, Eliot Spencer, James “Sawyer” Ford, Juliet Burke, they all fit that same archetype.
I just love Octavia so much, because she’s been through so much and she’s still standing and she’s grown and changed and evolved and it’s all been beautiful. Even the dark parts. Especially the dark parts. Because without them she wouldn’t be who she is now. I hate it when people say she’s “back to her old self” now. No. No she’s not. She’s a stronger, wiser and more mature version of herself, and she wouldn’t be that without her darkness or without her healing. I could go on more, but for that you can just go to my blog and read all of my meta. BESIDES Octavia, what character or pairing do you like best on t100? Uhhh… well, Octavia’s kind of my brand. So everything does kind of revolve around her. But I also adore Echo, Diyoza (sob!) and Hope, and I’m so glad that canon Hope is like the Hope I wrote in my S7 fic - fearless, reckless, committed to her family and questioning what makes otherwise sensible women willing to die for Bellamy Blake. I ship Niytavia, and a fair amount of my Niytavia fic is written from Niylah’s point of view rather than Octavia’s. I’ve also written some bunker-era Mackson as best friends to Niytavia, but Miller being a jerk in season 6 has kind of soured that ship for me. But after 7x10 I’m hopeful that he’ll pull his head out of his ass so that I can like that ship again, because Jackson is still all kinds of lovely.
But if we REALLY need to depart from the Octavia sphere, then Murphy’s my man. I don’t have a horse in the race as to which ship he’s a part of, because I can low-key ship him with just about everybody (even Octavia).
why did you decide to start writing for bellarkefic-for-blm? Because I wanted to do something to contribute to the BLM movement, but since I live in a tiny northeastern European country and have no money, going to protests or making donations myself isn’t something I can do. But I can write words so other people donate money, so here I am!
what’s your writing process like? I don’t have a set process. Sometimes a story just FLOWS and I’ll get it done in a few hours. Sometimes it involves a lot of throwing stuff at the wall and hoping it sticks and days and weeks of contemplation and starting to write and hoping it’ll come together at the end. Same applies regardless of what I’m writing, be it my own idea or someone else’s. what are some things you’d like to recommend? My partner in crime in plotting my S7 epic, who I’ll message at 3 in the morning looking to brainstorm ideas, @easilydistractedbyfanfic . You want Murven? They’ve got you covered. Also, tacos, cheesy pasta, and sushi. Because food is delicious and I’d like to be in a country where I can get tacos again, so if you’re in a position to be able to eat tacos, eat tacos. They’re not available everywhere in the world. You can find @osleyakomwonkru here on Tumblr, or you can find her on AO3 here. If you’d like to request a fic written by her, you can do so via @bellarkefic-for-blm.

Clarke for the character ask pls!!! (I'm not sure if you already did her, ignore me if that's the case!!!)
Ah this took long sorry 👀 @bellarkestitchdelena also asked for Clarke 😊
favorite thing about them
How she can thing strategically/big picture but also not loose her empathy and compassion in the process. She never stops caring.
least favorite thing about them
Not making a move with Bellamy 👀 Not but really in general, I think she isn’t always open and vulnerable which would do her some good in some situations. In later seasons, I wish she stood up for herself more with spacekru giving her shit.
favorite line
so many bellarke-related lines, but beyond that, “you may be the chancellor, but I’m in charge.” Still not over the BDE of that whole scene.
brOTP
Honestly, Bellamy? Like he is her best friend and so many people treated her like shit by the end. Maybe Monty also? Oh, actually I also loved her and Roan’s dynamic.
OTP
Bellamy
nOTP
Hmm, probably any relationships that weren’t canon. Even Lexa and Finn, their relationships served a purpose in her development and what not, even though I didn’t ship them.
random headcanon
Clarke is actually really funny. She’s always forced into serious moments, and if she made it with spacekru or we saw more of her in Eden, she’s good at making people laugh.
unpopular opinion
Hmmm. I’m not sure I reallt have one? Clarke is my favorite but I guess maybe an unpopular opinion w some stans is not agreeing with all her choices and acknowledging she’s made mistakes? Lol idk.
song i associate with them
‘I of the Storm’ by Of Monsters & Men. It’s sad/tragic but perfect for a self-sacrificing heroine
favorite picture of them
I’m not going to look up a photo, but I just loved her whole look in s2B. Right now, I’m thinking of the look of relief on her face when she sees Bellamy at Mt. Weather and he looks at her over Octavia’s shoulder 🥺
send me a character

the most tragic thing about bellarke is that deep down i think bellamy knows he is in love with clarke. first we have clarke saying, “...not to mention kill the people we love” in 5x09 and he has this guilty look on his face, like he’s trying to decide whether or not to correct her and say he ultimately poisoned his sister for the person he loves (clarke), and decides not to, nodding and swallowing. in fact, he actually skips right over the “people we love” part of what clarke said and says, “well, we’re almost there,” in reference to them getting to peace in the valley. that was deliberate. idc what jason says, we were meant to notice that hesitation, and that hesitation is so so so important. why would bellamy hesitate to tell clarke he poisoned his sister for her? the same reason she hesitated to tell him he was the reason she survived and instead said she had madi. neither of them lied about the entire truth, but they omitted the part about each other. also, before this, bellamy didn’t deny octavia’s statement about him “pleading for the life of a traitor who [he] loves.”
flash forward to the end of s5 when bellamy reunites with e/cho in the rover and she smiles at him and he doesn’t. he doesn’t even try. and then he looks over at octavia with a guilty look on his face, and idk about anyone else, but i hear pleading for the life of a traitor who you love in my head every time i watch that scene. sure, a lot of shit went down between the blakes, however, if we were supposed to think that moment had nothing to do his guilt about clarke, bellamy would have smiled at e/cho. he would have seemed relieved to see her. but he wasn’t. bob is an incredible actor. he would have looked relieved if bellamy was supposed to. we’ve seen him relieved about e/cho being okay before and he noticeably wasn’t in this instance. that was deliberate. i don’t think he has realized yet what all this means, but the guilt is there, so he’s starting to.
then we get to s6 and bellamy has more moments feeling guilty about his love for clarke. he’s shown to feel guilty about leaving the others behind for her. he’s shown to feel guilty over e/cho being in trouble because of it. for a man who supposedly no longer carries around a lot of guilt anymore, the guilt he feels when it has to do with clarke is consistently shown, and that is deliberate. again, i don’t think he has fully realized why he feels guilty, but deep down he knows it’s because he doesn’t just care about clarke but loves her and is in love with her.
and now for the tragic part. even if it weren’t for the guilt, i don’t think he would ever allow himself to fully realize the extent of his feelings for clarke because he still doesn’t think she feels the same way about him. to us, the radio calls are essentially 2,199 love letters he never received, but he doesn’t see it that way. six years ago, clarke fell in love with two people: finn and lxa, and i think because of those relationships he never believed that clarke loved him back then either, so why would radioing him change anything? he likely just thinks she did it in a platonic way. from the outside looking in, it’s easy to notice the significance of clarke hesitating to tell him about the radio calls. it’s easy to see that she only didn’t because to her, that would have been admitting that she’s been in love with him every day for six years, and he only just found out she’s not dead. this is before she found out about e/cho, but she has no reason to believe that he was still in love with a “dead” girl all these years later, if he was ever even in love with her at all. so, to us, it’s clear as day that she’s in love with him and terrified he doesn’t feel the same way, especially since she now knows about e/cho obviously, but from bellamy’s perspective, there’s no clear evidence that she’s in love with him. and so he keeps quiet and buries the feelings and the guilt and never allows himself to admit it to himself because he’s terrified she doesn’t feel the same way.
so, essentially, both bellamy and clarke are in love, but are terrified the other doesn’t love them like that, so neither of them are ever gonna admit their feelings until they know for certain that the other feels the same way, meaning that the only way bellarke is ever gonna happen is if some other character states that bellamy is in love with clarke or vice versa while both bellamy and clarke are present in the scene. it’s literally the only way. i swear to god, i stan two absolute dumbasses. i hate them. @ diyoza please save us all and reference clarke as bellamy’s girlfriend again, but this time to their faces, please and thank you.
tldr: blarke have ruined my life.

1. So I was thinking about platonic soulmates today. How lucky I am to have more than a few of those in my life. These friends are literally my family, and I would do anything for them. I would never be the same if I lost them. The biggest difference between them and my ‘romantic’ soulmate (whom I’m also lucky to have found and am married to, and would also describe as being my family/best friend), is that I don’t feel any physical attraction to them (and yes, I do realize that they’re gorgeous
2. lol, but I still have no desire to jump them), and I don’t get jealous when they have SO’s. The power of my love for them is almost as strong as it is for my spouse, but they’re different kinds of powerful love. To further elaborate: I don’t want to have babies with my platonic soulmates (but their kids ARE like my own), and I don’t want to make out with them or make love to them. I don’t want to date them, and I don’t want to marry them. Aslo, idc when they do these things w/ others.
3. Having these two types of soulmates in my life, if you can’t tell yet, made me think of that debate over Bellarke being platonic vs romantic soulmates. I have to say, from what I’ve seen in the show, they’re most definitely romantic soulmates. There’s a way to beautifully portray the bond between platonic soulmates; I’ve seen it before, loved it, and related so hard. But the way Clarke and Bellamy look at each other on my TV screen, combined with the blatant looks of jealousy/longing showed
4. (again: ON my TV screen) from both of them between s5 and s6, does not say non-romantic. It says “I am in love with you on a cellular level.” Things happen irl that keep people from being able to take that next step, so of course they’d happen in a show, amplified times infinity. And of course it’d happen on a show, in a world, like The 100. I can’t guarantee a HEA for them (it’s The 100!), but I feel like I can guarantee, from what we all see on-screen
5. (particularly starting at the end of s4, and amped up in s5/s6), that they’re on a long path toward each other. Their story, that path, is clearly woven throughout the larger narrative of the show. No one’s crazy or seeing what they want to see. We’re seeing what the creators WANT us to see. If there any other outcome than the growing/eventually-romantic one that’s been intentionally laid out, it’d be a failure of the creators, not the consumers. It may end tragically, but it’ll be in love.
-----
There is literally nothing platonic about them lol. I have a platonic soulmate. He was the man of honor at my wedding to my romantic soulmate. I’ve written about him several times before. The reason that people calling Bellarke platonic pisses me off is because this show very much knows how to write close friendships between all different sexes/genders. Bellarke aint it.
I am a huge fan of m/f platonic soulmate relationships on TV. We need more of them. It’ll help those like me in life who for years had to go “no, he’s not my boyfriend” because we were hanging out together. It got even worse when we were living together lol.
But yeah, I agree, there is NOTHING platonic about them. They could have written them as platonic. They didn’t. End of story imo.

26, 27 & 30 for the 100 is over ask game!!! 🥰😁💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank youuuuu, Luce!!
26. What are your top five ships?
At the end of it all - Linctavia, Memori, Sea Mechanic, Clexa, and Zaven. It was a rough go of it, with only one of those pairings surviving. But that’s The 100!
27. Rank the seasons, 1-7!
Starting from the bottom, working our way to the top:
7 - Season 6 truly felt like Bellarke fanfic for me, and I feel like it barely fits in with the rest of the series. There’s a lot it set up for s7 that I enjoyed - Prime Memori, the Anomaly stones, Octavia + Diyoza & Hope - but the entire storyline of Clarke being bodysnatched and Bellamy dropping everything to save her was just a snoozefest for me. I was lowkey pulling for Clarke to stay dead and Josephine to keep her body.
6 - Season 7 had a lot of high points for me, but it also took a massive leap into sci-fi that I’m not entirely sure the writers had the scientific chops to back up. It was a confusing season. And the way it all ended - ugh. I’m still mad about it, because the endless beach day just nullifies so many journeys for so many people. The writing and acting took a serious nosedive, and it was painfully clear that the story switched up halfway through. The first half of the season feels completely disconnected from the back half.
5 - Season 4 is a mess, although it has its’ good moments. But ultimately, it’s a lot of contrived drama and bullshit to run out the clock on Praimfaya. Although this season has a few of my favorite episodes - 4x10, 4x13 - the overall plotline is just not as appealing as it could have been. Plus, the moment they destroyed Earth for the second time, the series changed forever, mostly for the worse.
4 -  Season 1 was once my least favorite season - we’ve come so far! I still think a lot of the writing and acting is really bad, but the storyline was simple enough that they could find a lot of really meaningful moments without having to bend over backwards to make the audience feel something. There’s a charm and quaintness to s1, and I enjoy it more now in retrospect.
3 - Season 3 is really where this series starts to get too messy, but it also includes some of my favorite worldbuilding and character moments. We see Memori bud and start to bloom here. Raven gets an actual storyline that isn’t just about saving the day and/or riding a moral high horse. Clexa runs its’ course and reaches its’ tragic, premature end. We get a lot more insight on Lincoln, Indra, Lexa, and the Grounders as a whole, including their culture and their customs. I think I’ll always be sad about where the series could have gone from s3, and I don’t love the back half nearly so much as the front. Still though - I always look forward to this season on rewatch.
2 - Season 5 is such an amazing season for Octavia, and for the Blake siblings. I still feel s5 would’ve made a good ending, especially as an “epilogue” of sorts for the story of the original Delinquents. A lot of storylines and character arcs came full circle, and we got to see everyone grown up and embracing new roles and identities. It’s the best season for Bellamy, one of the more interesting (and infuriating) for Clarke, and includes the short-lived but much beloved Zaven.
1 - Season 2 was everything this show could have been. It has the best plot twists - Finn’s death, Clarke’s bisexuality, everything about the Mountain Men. Speaking of, has there ever been better antagonists in this universe? They were the perfect blend of almost-cartoonishly evil (using kidnapped and subjugated people as blood bags) and reasonably sympathetic (characters like Maya letting us see that not everyone was down for the blood bag thing.) Some of the most interesting moral dilemmas come up, and everyone has a cohesive role in the plot that serves the rest of the story. The simplicity, the drama, and the stakes were never really the same after this.
30. How many times have you seen each season?
I’ve seen the first three several times, at least five apiece. Rewatching the later seasons was always tough for me, though. I’ve seen s4 about three times, s6 once, and s7 once. s5 is the outlier - I’ve watched it at least five times as well. I’m just a sucker for Blodreina, what can I say?

This was so long! I am so wordy! Thank you for the ask!

Season 7 speculation game
I’ve seen ppl doing this so I wanted to do it even though I have like no predictions but here we go
Pick one or more characters you think will survive:
I want them all to survive but knowing this show that’s a stretch (there’s only five og delinquents left, 6 if you include raven). I think all (or at least almost all) of the og delinquents will survive bc I remember something about how Kim shumway (I think) wanted a tragic ending bc the show is a tragedy but jroth didn’t?? So I’ve hope for that
Pick one or more characters you think will die:
Listen I don’t want any of them to die but I think out of all the main characters, I can see either Murphy or Echo dying. Idrk why I think Murphy might die but I saw a theory or smth about how sheidheda night jump into his mind drive and become the Big Bad and I can see them doing that. I think Echo might die (not bc I hate her, I like her character) bc she’s been going on her vengeance killing spree and she thinks bellamy is dead so I could see her dying while killing some disciples or sacrificing herself for hope, diyoza, Octavia, and Gabriel
Pick one deceased character you think might make a cameo:
I think that Becca might have a role to play somewhere. Ik she’s definitely gonna appear in the next ep as it’s a backdoor pilot for the prequel, but I can’t help but think she’ll have another role outside of that. Or maybe cadogan?
Do you expect any romantic changes to happen this season?
I’ve learnt not to expect anything from this show for my own sanity but from the way things are going maybe levitt + Octavia? Either as a real thing or he’s just playing them and he’s actually a disciple but I can’t decide which. Also I wouldn’t put it past them to pair raven up with someone else to make her “happy” again or to help her heal from all the killing she can’t get over herself doing.
Where will the final scene take place?
Hell if I know. Maybe sanctum, looking over the peaceful settlement(s?) they finally created? Or maybe on earth, since there seems to be an anomaly stone there?
What will the final line be?
I have no clue. Probably a callback to some other previous line, or a blarke moment along the lines of “we did it we finally did better” or something along those lines
Who will say it?
See above ^^
What’s one thing you hope happens?
One thing I hope for? Bellarke of course bc I’m a bellarke clown. Also I want madi to be able to play soccer with her fellow children!!
Do I expect a happy ending?
From this show? Not really. A hopeful ending, probably, but not a happy one bc of the thing about how Kim shumway (I think) wanted a tragic ending bc the show is a tragedy but jroth didn’t so it’s probably gonna be hopeful but not particularly happy
List your favorite character, episode, and season up to this point?
I’m indecisive so y’all are going to get several
Character: Clarke, bellamy, and Miller
Episode: it’s been so long since I watched the series all the way through so idrk but I think out of season 6, 6x10 was my favorite
Season: idk if this is an unpopular opinion, but I really liked season 6. I mean I like all of the seasons ok the season I like the least is season 5, but I don’t hate it either so it’s kinda hard to pick one, but season 6 kinda stood out to me
I’ll tag anyone who wants to do it!!

How do you imagine the Bellamy and Clarke confession/consumption would look like (in terms of context, scene etc)?
The only things I imagine are too fluffy and not really realistic within the show
So here’s the thing. If I were to imagine that, i could imagine it a thousand different ways and each way I could create a logical story. That’s kind of the point of fanfiction, no? To imagine different ways the story might go?  Everything I imagine that isn’t the canon we had onscreen (which was singularly unsatisfying because it erased canon Bellamy, Bellarke and Clarke in the whole season,) becomes a headcanon or fanfic or interpretation or whatever.
So I think a better question here is how to make your imaginings, but keep them in line with tone and reality of the show.
I disagree that fluffy scenes/stories are not realistic within the show. We GOT lots of fluff in the show... but nothing remained fluffy.
Linctavia had super fluff. But their story ended as a tragedy. He left flowers for her that she followed to their little hideaway and then they had a romantic interlude. SUPERFLUFF.
So fluffy does actually work. You just also have to temper it with the darkness of the world. Even in that fluffy scene, we had a romeo and juliet, we can never overcome our family’s differences. Which ended up being true for them, if not for other people.
I would actually argue that it’s the combination of love and beauty and poetry with the tragic failings of humanity that made the show so great.
To the extent that when Clarke and Bellamy lost all the love and beauty and poetry in their stories, the story was ruined. All that was left was the tragedy of humanity’s failings, and that was an unsatisfying story.
If you look at Memori’s story, they got to keep the fluff+tragedy. Emori died, but Murphy sacrificed himself to live with her in his mind, a beautiful story for them, and then they ended up on the beach together (another ruination of story as it was humanity’s dead end, but if you look at it only as “well they got to live together in peace” then it’s a happy ending.)
A good example of a happy ending in The 100 was Marper. They got to live together in peace, and have a child, although they were lonely without their friends. But the biggest difference there is that they found HOPE for humanity. They worked towards saving the last of humanity, where s7 had everyone in that dead end, where they were essentially ghosts and could never reproduce and humanity was now over. (such a bad ending. boo.) Marper’s was great.
So while Bellarke never got an ending at all, not even a tragic one like Kabby, where the flaws of the characters led them into dark places... well no, Abby’s flaws led them to dark places while Kane refused to let them go there. He learned and grew, she collapsed. That’s a tragic ending, but it’s a realistic one. But bellarke’s story just disappeared, and they pretended that they hadn’t been telling it all this time. That’s the biggest flaw in the story there. It COULD have ended up tragic like Linctavia or like Kabby. Or bittersweet like Marper or Memori.
With s7 the way it was, I imagine the confession should have come when he came back from the dead and they had their confrontation. It should have. They should have admitted their feelings and that should have been important to the story. Then they could have gone on to have Clarke kill Bellamy ACCIDENTALLY, like she was aiming for Cadogan and Bellamy stepped in front of the bullet. That would make more sense. The story after that didn’t make sense. It didn’t fit with Clarke’s character, or what she’d done in the past when she lost people. But okay, lets say they did end up on that beach. Bellamy should have been there, and then they’d get the chance to live out their ghostly existences together. Still not a good ending, but it would have kept it from tanking the whole story except for Memori.
