John Constantine is not a nice person. He is not a good person. But I’m so damn entertained by the way he does good deeds.
Like “Yeah I’ll pay for these starving kids to have some candy but if you say it was me then I’ll punt you into the sun.” “I saved your life because it’s a big “fuck you” to the ones who put it in danger, not because I like you.” “There’s a kitten in my pocket in case I need something to throw at a demon, not because it was a stray that wouldn’t leave me alone.“
God I think if you called him kind he’d spontaneously combust and make sure he took you with him
#look 2/3 of the examples i gave are canon but still#we love us a complex character#john constantine#hellblazer#idk if i'm making any sense#he's still a bastard though <3

Ninjago headcanons just FSM family
(Sorry for my English but it is not my native language)
1#
Lloyd discovered one day that if he just calls Wu uncle he can get out of any trouble (because Wu adores his nephew), which he often uses to his advantage, for example, when he was still a child, he would often approach Wu and ask for various things, and if Wu did not agree, he would simply say "Okay, Uncle Wu" in the saddest voice he could, which made Wu immediately change his mind and agree. As Lloyd got older he stopped using it as much but still does it sometimes. Best of all, everyone is aware of this except Wu himself, so if the ninja want to do something and know that Wu won't agree, they send Lloyd to "convince" Wu.
2#
FSM was a teenage parent, I'm mean in season 15 it was said that when he came to ninjago he was still a child and as we know hybrids age differently so I'm sure when he created Wu and Garmadon (I don't give a damn that this man had a woman, I just don't see it) he was still a teenager and mentally he could have been about 18-20 years old.
3#
I'm sure FSM tried to be a good parent but didn't know what to do, apart from the fact that he was still a teenager at the time, this man never had any idea what a healthy family should look like, he literally was a child soldier and had to choose between dragons and Oni and I suspect that neither the dragons or the Oni were not very nice to him and they probably didn't have much affection for him. And unfortunately it was visible, but he loved his sons (and he certainly loves his grandson).
4#
So screw the canon, Wu never loved Misako, he didn't like her at first (because he claimed she was stealing his brother because Garmadon only talked about her), later he started liking her and then they became good friends.
5#
So when I said that Wu doesn't love Misako, I mean that Wu is gay, no really look at the teenage version of him, he can't be straight.
6#
I am sure that Wu was the creator of many fashion trends, considering that back then there was not much fashion and Wu had the power to create, he had to create many clothes that no one had ever seen before. Many of these clothes were very sexy and revealed a lot of things.
7#
Due to the way Wu dressed, many men stared at him and flirted with him, which of course neither Garmadon or their father not liked, that's why they never sent Wu to the city alone, someone always went with him and whenever a man tried to hit on him he got a death glare from Garmadon or FSM (which must have been terrifying, as if God himself wants to kill you because you thought in a erotic way about his son and also Garmadon who is the essence of destruction and intends to rip out your organs for looking at his younger brother).
8#
FSM loves his grandson, the guy literally gave him his golden power without a second thought and even let him choose between life and death, he must adore Lloyd.
9#
Before the events of Season 1, when Lloyd was expelled from school and wandered the streets, FSM was his guardian angel. He made sure Lloyd didn't hurt himself, and when he did something to himself, he simply accelerated his regeneration with his divine powers, when Lloyd had nothing to eat, he directed him to places where food could be easily obtained. In episode 1 of season 1, when Lloyd gets to the tomb, he falls over perfectly to avoid being hypnotized and the leader of the snakes hypnotized himself, it not way that this kid failed perfectly, I'm actually sure that his grandfather helped him

yoshikage kira headcanon list:
1. his finger-chewing tendencies existed even before he could form memories, so his mother bought him baby mitts to knock the habit early. the lack of grip led him to slip and fall often, which gave kiramom quite the scare, but seeing as the mittens were a necessary evil, she took it upon herself to do for him what he couldn’t. read into that what you will.
1.2. by the time it was no longer an appropriate age for him to wear baby mittens, he was still indulging the habit like nothing had changed at all. i imagine it started off as mostly a habitual comfort early on, and developed into self-harm when he felt the need for control.
1.3. jumping off of izzy’s hc that he has a low pain tolerance, i think that the sensation of pain is very sobering to kira, hence the development from thumb-sucking to finger-chewing, as noted by f0r. as unbearable as pain is for him, i think it’s also grounding, esp in moments of anxiety. low pain threshold, low pain tolerance, but a high secret third thing (bad coping mechanisms).
2. this one isn’t canon compliant, but i like to think that kira’s nails don’t actually grow supernaturally fast and are more of a reflection of his state of mind. i think they def grow faster than the average person’s, but it’s a mix of genetics, routine nail care stimulating the growth, and perception bias. he only “notices” it when he’s aroused or stressed bc it’s harder to ignore, and let’s be honest, arousal and stress go hand-in-hand for the guy (ha. hand-in-hand).
3. kira doesn’t just hate body hair on women but also on himself, tho probably for different reasons (aesthetic vs sensory, respectively). this wasn’t much of an issue before taking on kosaku’s face seeing as he doesn’t grow much of it himself, but he would still shave all the same, and always smooth. this is evidenced by the fact that he reached for the blade razor rather than kosaku’s electric one (blades are known for a closer shave, while kosaku used an electric razor since “regular razors usually give you burns,” implying that he uses a guard which is a less close shave). living as kosaku was hell too since he had to shave more frequently and the stubble was a lot scratchier.
4. bouncing off of f0r’s selective hygiene hc, his idea of cleanliness is very contradictory and more aligned w perceived contamination than actual germs. may i remind you of when he licked blood off of his hands during the fight w shigechi as to not stain his clothes. granted, it was his own blood, but considering his self-report abt masturbating, i wouldn’t say it’s far fetched to believe he’s not all that concerned abt washing his own hands.
4.1. speaking of self-report masturbation habits, kira believes himself to be above masturbation despite probably being a virgin, but the difference between him and those “sweaty unwashed guys” is that he never uses his own hand anymore. 😥
5. kira is attentive to detail but only to the extent that he’s aware. he has an appreciation for specific types of hands, but it’s all very superficial. for example, he’ll paint some nails pretty, but he wouldn’t think to push back the cuticles. like what is this:
right over the cuticle… you know that polish is chipping, and he’s sucking it right down 😭
6. kira uses this exact cologne:
6.1. i appreciate that his cologne is unisex since he prob wants a feminine scent for his gfs but nothing so flagrantly womanly that it reflects poorly on him, which leads me to believe that he never went out of his way to buy nail polish (suspicious for a man!) but instead stole it from one of his victims, perhaps if she was carrying it in her purse.
7. he’s a serial killer dater, but he’s no cheater. he might be looking at other hands while he’s in a “relationship,” but at least he’s monogamous abt it; he’ll break up w his current gf before moving on! i mean, why not just take both hands? simple, he can only handle one lady at a time 😌
8. he’s a stickler for routine, and this applies to his diet. these are 2 separate breakfasts he made from eps 1 & 21:
the exact same, even down to the placement of each dish and utensil. maybe he adds a little measured variety in his lunch and dinner choices, but i’d like to think this is how he makes breakfast every morning, and he never gets sick of it. shinobu occasionally cooking up dif breakfasts for him was probably a shock to the system.
8.1. if he was cooking in someone else’s house and they didn’t have a butter knife or, god forbid, had orange juice w PULP, he’d genuinely get offended. no decorum or taste whatsoever, tsk tsk. it’s a good thing he’s there to “set her soul right.”
8.2. maybe further down the line in the kawajiri household, shinobu would’ve commented on his repetitive breakfast choices, and he’d have to force himself to make an omelette or smth to appease her wildly sporadic (normal) appetite. maybe she’d learn how to make breakfast the way he usually does, just to show that she cares ☺️ but unfortunately she overcooked the eggs, and the knife is in the butter the wrong way, and the toast errs on the side of burnt, and… well, no matter. he’s more than okay being the cook every morning from now on.
9. kosaku styles his hair flat and slick, but kira has no experience w the heavy duty gel that he uses, so it ended up in spikes so he could keep his signature little noodle bangs. old habits die hard.
and seeing as how shinobu made no comment on kira’s hair turning white, i’m gonna add a bonus kosaku hc that he’s always changing up his hair in some kind of early mid-life crisis. (“there goes my stupid insecure husband doing his hair differently again, as if that’ll change the fact that he’s already graying. 😒”)
10. rounding us off w my handcanons from a while back, kira’s hands aren’t smth he cares to keep prim and pretty the way he would for someone else’s, but he does have his own routine that puts them above average. although he picks at them during bouts of stress, they tend to heal quickly, as hands do (aided by his saliva bc you know even if he wasn’t chewing on them, he’s sucking on his thumb after peeling the hangnails). the lack of scarring all his life enabled his bad habits, only tempered by the impoliteness of it drilled into his mind as a child.
#yoshikage kira#kosaku kawajiri#shinobu kawajiri#diamond is unbreakable#jojo’s bizarre adventure#part4#💣#long post#joining izzy and f0r on the fun ^__^#i love the idea that even if kosaku did smth new w his appearance shinobu would decidedly not comment out of spite#‘he didn’t notice the new dress i bought so i’m gonna ignore his new hairstyle.’#yeah that’ll teach him shinobu#i need to do a shinobu hc list too someday but i’ve made so many little comments over the yrs idk where to find them all#one day…

The (New) +Anima Au Guide!
A few months ago, I made a post about the basics of +anima, and now I realize it was kinda bad, so I'm making it again! So, here's a little guide to the basic world of +anima - mostly how anima work - in hopes to inspire people to create +anima aus!
What is +Anima?
+Anima is a ten-volume manga written by Natsumi Mukai. It is very good and cute, you should read it! It revolves around a world where certain people have something called an anima.
When a child is put into a life-threatening situation, there's a chance that they will get the abilities of a nearby animal - granting them wings like a bird, or tail of a fish, for example - in order to survive the situation. It's like if trauma gave you cat ears!
Nana, for instance, was running from her drunk and angry father in the woods at night, and got a bat anima. Natural anima only happen to children.
Getting an anima, or seeing someone with an anima, is rare enough that, even if people are aware of what anima are, those with bird or fish anima are often confused for angels or mermaids. Those with anima are usually treated poorly and feared as something dangerous and scary.
Those with anima are able to look like normal humans most of the time, accessing their anima and transforming back and forth at will. When appearing like a normal human, however, there is still proof of being an anima by way of a marking(s) somewhere on their body. The marking reflects the animal/trait that they have, the location usually correlates with there or how the trait shows up.
As an anima is connected to survival, children with them usually lose their anima as they grow older and find themselves in better situations. In the manga, most of the anima are either kids or teens. There are a few cases of adults with natural anima, two being seemingly homesless men (one seems to be a rat anima, while another is a bison), and a few who are of the Native American-Coded group in the manga, the Kim-un-Kur, who are known to keep their anima through adulthood seemingly because 1. it's less ostracized against, 2. their life style probably is better with one, and 3. they're more in tune with nature and their anima.
(^this is the the buffalo anima and a crow anima)
There is also such a thing as 'fake' or 'manufactured' anima, but only in a sense. There's a way to extract the anima from a person, though if the person is not willing the anima will not remain after the procedure. When willingly extracted, however, the anima can then placed into another person, though the connection between human and anima seems to be tenuous, and the anima may choose to leave.
Outside of a 'manufactored' anima, in canon there is one instance of an anima hopping from one human to another, though in that case the anima was that of a vicious and vengeful bear.
While in-fiction it's mostly hinted at and a little vague, it seems that the anima - as in the animal power itself - seems to have some degree of sentience, as it seems its the anima that makes makes the choice when to leave the human. It seems to be that the spirit of the animal literally ends up in the human that gains the anima.
Those with anima also seem to be able to do a further transformation into a more animal-like form called metamorphosis.
As you may have noticed me doing throughout the post, those with anima are usually just referred to as ‘anima’, though the animal spirit in the is also called their ‘anima’.
In the world of +Anima, there is also a side of the continent that has big market in anima slave trade, so make of that what you will.
Anyway, I find the world of +Anima FASCINATING, please talk to me about +Anima and make aus I love it.
(These are the four main characters of the manga! Cooro (crow), Husky (fish), Senri (bear), and Nana (bat).)

anon who sent the chigiri asks, just going to put this all in one post below the cut bc it’s very very long (affectionate) skKFJFHJFJD 人´uεu)
tw incest
||ask 1||
since we're talking abt bllk brothers what abt chigiri niichan <33 i think he'd be soooo possessive like more than anyone, can't stand it when his teammates look at you, loves to kiss your cheek in front of them to remind them you belong to HIM so don't even try it <3 but even if his teammates did you would just ignore them anyways bc you just have your precious niichan in your head, ALWAYS looking at him with sparkly eyes, and chigiri KNOWS it, knows he's the best big brother, knows you'd do anything for his approval, for his attention, and that's why you always cheer extra loudly for him at his games or practices <3 and that's also why he always takes you to the showers to join him after a match or practice after "everyone leaves" to show you how much he appreciates your love and support <33 bc he's the best niichan who would also do anything for you, to show his love for you <3 you're a little A LOT spoiled but chigiri niichan doesn't mind <3
also random but since he canonically has an older sister i think she'd be a little bit more older than him, so when you were born she was already a teen or early young adult and starting her own life and that's why chigiri niichan has always been more close to you, to protect you and keep you safe <3 bc once she left for college you were still tiny and she told chigiri to be the best big brother bc she wouldn't be there much to help out :( so he takes that role VERY seriously and continues to do so well into your adulthood and somehow along the way you never dated any guy or even looked at another guy that isn't your niichan <3 so if chigiri's older sister thinks something of it, she doesn't say anything bc after all, you grew up to be a pretty good woman bc of chigiri right? so she'll ignore the starry eyed looks you give your niichan, ignore the way he always has his arms around you.. so long as you don't do it in front of your parents..
||ask 2||
chigiri anon here again!! also another thing SORRY this is so long i'm like making lore lmao jfjsjd// since chigiri has ALWAYS looked after you and etc i think once he hurt his knee he'd feel so pathetic and it'd be like a big blow for him and his pride bc he's your niichan, he's supposed to take care of himself, set an example for you! he's supposed to be the best but he hurt himself bad and in front of you too! he hated the worried look you gave him when you saw him, the tears in your eyes when you realized just how bad it really was, so you run down the bleachers and go to him as they help him sit on the bench to inspect him, and chigiri HATES IT. he doesn't want you to see him like this, so, for the first time in your life chigiri niichan YELLS at you to get away from him, and he looks away as he says it bc he knows you're crying and the look will be much worse if he saw it :( but you're telling him no you'll stay with him! but he tells you again, says your name real sternly so YOU KNOW he's serious and tells you to leave him alone.. so you get up and leave, wiping your tears that continue to fall as your father takes you home and as your mother takes him to the hospital.. and even as he's recovering he ignores you.. doesn't pay attention to you anymore, continues to tell you to leave him alone, he doesn't want you around, you're being a nuisance.. but you still try your hardest to be near him! just like you did when you were little! he's your niichan! he does anything and everything for you so you'll do anything and everything for him too! you bake and cook for him, warm the water when he wants to take a bath. he appreciates it! he does! but he doesn't say anything.. he can't even look at you, lest you think he's a pathetic failure of a niichan for hurting himself and giving up on his dream.. but one day chigiri see's you talking to his old teammate, smiling at him and something in him snaps, all the rage and self hatred he's held in comes out and unfortunately, he takes it out on you.. once you entered the house you announced your arrival and notice your niichan leaning on the kitchen island, looking at his work so you go to him with a smile and tell him hello! and for the first time since he hurt his knee he looks at you.. REALLY looks at you, and you feel like your breath has been stolen.. you're so happy your beloved niichan has looked at you you don't notice the fury behind his eyes.. so you go to wrap your arms around him and he stops you. tells you to go away and leave him alone, don't bother him anymore.. tells you you're nothing but a pest always clinging onto him, never letting him breath.. he doesn't mean it, you KNOW he doesn't mean it, HE knows he doesn't mean it but he can't stop the harsh words for spilling out.. can't help the jealousy he feels when he remembers you smiling at his teammate.. so for another time.. chigiri niichan hurts your feelings, he see's you walk away with tears in your eyes but not before getting something out of your book bag and giving it to him before dashing off to your room. he notices it's an older manga he's been wanting, knew one of his teammates had it and asked a bunch if he could have it but his teammate declined. and that's when chigiri niichan realizes you were talking to that specific teammate to get this manga.. and chigiri niichan feels TERRIBLE.. he hurt his precious imouto's feelings, made her cry all bc he got jealous for something you were doing FOR HIM! but chigiri niichan doesn't move to get up, no, he continues to wallow in his self pity and ignores you.. but this time you ignore him as well.. and he HATES it, hates how you don't cling to him anymore, hates how you don't look at him anymore or even talk to him, only when you're sharing dinner with your parents but even then you both don't bother.. he can't even muster up the courage to start a conversation with you.. and soon chigiri niichan realizes time has passed and you're getting older.. then he receives a letter from blue lock. telling him they want him to play soccer and become the best..
||ask 3||
so he decides to go, tells your parents while you're all having dinner and they're proud of him, a little worried but he'll take it easy they know. he tells them he'll be gone for a while and that he won't have access to his cellphone and they frown but understand. and you.. you're silent the entire time.. chigiri your ever so observant niichan see's you haven't once eaten your dinner, can see you're ANGRY, angry at him.. you suddenly stand up and excuse yourself, saying you have homework to be done and your parents excuse you, but chigiri knows better. he's your niichan after all. after a few minutes of more talking he too excuses himself and makes his way to your room. your niichan doesn't knock, and once he enters your room, he feels like an even worse failure of a niichan.. you're crying on your bed, holding the stuffed animal he got you when you went to a festival for the first time.. and your precious niichan, your niichan who you've missed so much goes to you and hugs you, wiping your tears that continue to fall and telling you to breath.. in midst of your crying you finally realize your niichan is hugging you! your precious niichan who's been ignoring you since he hurt his knee years ago is finally next to you! and you cry more.. push him away and call him a stupid niichan, you don't need him anymore when he's been ignoring you for years! and your precious niichan hugs you again, kisses your cheek and tears away, rubs his hands up and down your back, comforting you.. you tell him you hate him! he's a bad niichan! the worst! and he agrees.. tells you he hasn't been the best niichan he used to be, let his pride get hurt and hurt you too, lashed out on you for no reason when you only wanted to take care or him, make him feel better.. you nod your head agreeing and you hug your precious niichan tighter, pressing your nose against his neck, breathing in his scent bc you've missed your niichan dearly.. and once you've stopped crying you both stay there, embracing each other, and your precious niichan doesn't let you go, keeps his hold on you tight but then he moves his hands and puts them on your face, lifting your head to look up at him, and for the first time since he lashed out on you, you look into his eyes and your niichan looks into yours and feels like everything is okay.. and before you know it, your niichan, your precious niichan who you've been missing nonstop all these years, your precious niichan who you've been craving, kisses you.. you sit still for a second before returning the kiss, and you realize you're kissing your niichan! but you don't care.. you love your niichan and obviously he loves you too or he wouldn't be doing this.. then when you both part to breath your niichan smiles, ACTUALLY smiles, and you smile too. you look at your niichan and kiss him again, a bit shyly and a bit quickly and he lets out a laugh, making you a bit embarrassed.. your niichan moves your head to look at him again and apologizes, sincerely apologizes for being a terrible niichan all these years.. he swears he'll become a better niichan again and you believe him.. after all you trust your precious niichan dearly..
then it's time for him to leave for blue lock.. your niichan says bye to your parents preparing to leave and holds out his hand for you to grab, your parents think nothing of it and go back to their work. you and your niichan walk to the station and before he boards the train he gives you another breathless kiss, tells you not to miss him too much, tells you he'll become a better niichan for you when he gets back and that's when he leaves on the bus and heads to blue lock.. to become a better player, AND to become a better niichan for you. after all, he has a lot of making up to do, right?
—————— ♡ —————
I can’t really respond much because you were so thorough nonnie pFGDHFJFJF but yea totally, chigiri would be a great nii nii and he’d definitely be super affectionate up to a certain point. I also think that if that happened to me, like he’d suddenly start ignoring me, I wouldn’t allow it to last for a few weeks let alone years pFDHHF BUT THats just mayBE ME IDK IDK HAHDHFJJF ꒰⌗´͈ ᵕ ॣ`͈⌗꒱৩ all im hearing is that once niichan gets back from blue lock he’ll better give his sweet imouto the best orgasm of her life because !!!! That post about Higuchi Kouhei and his cat got me thinking about some other tokusatsu-to-BL pipeline actors that are on current or recent BLs, so I thought I'd do a screenshot post about Kamen Rider Revice, a recent toku series that features two lead actors who star in current BLs, plus an actor in a smaller role who was part of a side couple in a BL series that recently completed a second season.
The main character of Revice is Igarashi Ikki, played by Maeda Kentaro, currently playing Ohara Yamato in I Can't Reach You. His siblings are very central to the story as well--by the end of the series, the story is centered around his whole family. Ikki's younger brother Daiji is played by Hyuga Wataru, currently playing Yamasuge Ryuiji in If It's With You.
Here they are having a bath in the opening credits for the show (the Igarashi family runs a public bath house).
I should say at the outset that I can't entirely recommend Revice, especially to folks who don't already have some tokusatsu-watching under their belts. It's a hot mess in a lot of ways. But it does have some really outstanding highlights. The best aspects of the series, in my book, were:
Kagerou (Daiji's demonic alter ego),
George Karizaki (my beloved),
Igarashi Sakura/Kamen Rider Jeanne (the most formidable female Rider I've seen in any series in the franchise), and
the relationship between Sakura and Natsuki Hana (a rare example of a convincing Sapphic ship in a franchise well known for "heated drama between men").
I'm not going to get into 2 and 3 here, as tempting as that would be, but I'll include as much of 4 as time/space permits.
It might seem weird that I'm not recommending a series with some of my favorite characters in the entire Kamen Rider franchise AND a relationship between girls that is a hair's breadth from being canonically queer. It's just too much of a trainwreck to endorse as a whole. But as I said, the highlights are really something.
One of the biggest issues I had with Revice was that Ikki, the protagonist, just isn't a very compelling character. As a result I don't think Maeda Kentaro really got to show the range of his acting abilities in this series. (This just makes me more curious to see him in ICRY. From the excerpts I've seen so far, it seems like he shows a really different side of himself.)
Maeda appreciators might still enjoy the many determined faces and creepy smiles he gets to dish out in this series. Here's a sampling.
It's possible they'll want to look away when he starts doing things like this, though.
Fans of both Maeda and Hyuga might enjoy some of their scenes fighting side by side, including doing their various henshin poses (the moves they do before they transform into their masked Rider forms).
Or when they do things like this bonkers flying kick.
Thankfully, Daiji is a more interesting character than Ikki, so Revice gave Hyuga some more challenging things to do. I thought Hyuga also just really made the most of every opportunity the show presented to him. He was seriously impressive. This is the reason I was sold on IIWY the moment I saw the announcement about it based solely on Hyuga's involvement.
Here's a sampling of Hyuga as Daiji.
In addition to playing Daiji, Hyuga also played Kagerou, Daiji's aforementioned demonic alter ego. Kagerou was formed from thoughts and emotions that Daiji repressed. The biggest of these was his resentment toward Ikki. But apparently Daiji had also been repressing a desire to be a somewhat gender non-conforming goth, because that's Kagerou's other raison d'etre.
In some ways, it's hard to imagine a character more different from Ryuji. If they have anything in common, it's the fact that they both place a high value on honesty.
One other thing that's worth noting about Hyuga's work on Revice is that he was only 17 when the show premiered. He showed major dramatic range in this part, not only playing two very different characters but doing everything from low-key nuanced scenes to bombastic high drama. Not to mention the stunts! Doing all of this at 17 is seriously remarkable.
Now for our bonus dude! There's a secret evil-fighting organization called Weekend that secretly keeps tabs on the Igarashi family for years before coming out of hiding to join the big central battle of the series. One of the Weekend operatives is Ushijima Hikaru.
Look familiar? Maybe not, he didn't make faces like this on his BL series.
How about now? Yep, it's Oku Tomoya, who plays Hanabusa Asuka on both seasons of Minato Shouji Coin Laundry.
Oku has some big scenes and interesting moments in Revice. He does some romantic pining, goes through big-time loss, does quite a bit of martial-arts sparring, gets seriously injured, and more. He even gets to henshin a few times. Here he is getting ready to do just that with Sakura and Hana. Those Weekend uniforms are pretty hardcore in a 70s flight attendant sort of way, but I feel like Oku really sells it here.
While we're on the subject of Sakura and Hana, I feel like I can't mention their relationship without including some moments where their story came particularly close to tipping into full-on yuri.
If you're going to do an enemies-to-lovers story, why not make them full-on superhero nemeses?
The word "date" might not technically get used by the characters, but there's no mistaking that the amusement park hangout Sakura invites Hana on--while she is still a fully-functioning bad guy, I might add--is definitely a date.
Most of the time when a Rider beats their nemesis for the final time they don't hold each other tenderly in the sunset.
By the end of the series, they're in a big tub together at the Igarashi's bath house.
There are tons more examples but you get the idea. If this isn't borderline-yuri I don't know what is.

HOLY SHIT THERE'S AN ISAGI FANPAGE??
..sorry lol. anyway, im a big big isagi fan, so i was wondering: what are (in your opinion) the best/worst takes or characterizations you've seen about our beloved striker isagi yoichi?
YES THERE IS AN ISAGI FAN PAGE!!! I love making fan pages <3 I have many
Uh quick note tho: most of the characterization of him I've seen has been via fanfics so I'm not 100% sure about how Tumblr views him, so when I say "the fandom" I mean the fandom I've seen from tag searching ao3
From what I've seen there's 3-4 main ways the fandom takes him and thats: 1 uwu soccer boi twying his best, 2 RAHHH SEX GOD, 3 [insert love interest] omg I live for you never leave meeee, 4 shy boy whos good at shit. Which isn't that bad tbh, other fandoms wouldn't even get close to his character, so while I kinda tear at those interpretations they aren't so far from the mark.
1 I think is mostly from anime onlys because at the start of the anime he's kinda like that and people tend to run w/ their first grasp on a character, also his low self esteem and repetitive losses throughout the season can very easily feed into that. However in the manga as the series carries on he gets more and more skills, he gets more egotistical and confident in his own abilities. So seeing this version annoys me because if anyone in this series is gonna be like that it's Igaguri I mean
Look at him, but even then that'd be a stretch.
2 is just frustrating to see everywhere like calm down
3 stems from wanting to ship characters but not knowing how to write individual ships, so the writer defaults back to a cookie cutter dynamic and sorta fits the characters. It happens in every fandom, with every ship. At least once. It's like rule 34 but the porn is optional.
Ah but it doesn't fit Isagi because he's more than capable of leaving people behind if that's what's best for him, it wouldn't be personal for example him and Bachira play against each other all the time and they play to win but they're both still close after the game. He's able to detach emotions from leaving someone behind which is why when they show up again later he's genuinely happy for them, he still likes them. So for Isagi to be like "nOoOooooo I neeeeeeeeeeedddd youuuuuu" it doesn't make sense. And in regards to the 3v3 game against Rin. He was upset about Bachira being taken I think if Bachira had chosen to be on a different team he wouldn't have been so pissed.
4 is just episode 1 and 2. He outgrows his "shyness" immediately, but it is the closest to canon imo. Because Isagi isn't shy per say but he is aware of his limitations (most of the time) which means he does change his plans to accommodate that, not exactly shy but I can see how one could read it that way.
As a bonus I don't mind the chatfics but I'd like if they gave them text accents. I think Isagi is a no punctuation but uses capitalization For Emphasis kinda guy.
Sorry if I didn't answer this how you wanted but I love yapping about characterization.
I was gonna say how I'd personally characterize Isagi but this is already several paragraphs longer than I'd planned so. another day.

The Conflicts of Disney's Hercules (Part 3): Hades vs Zeus
Brother vs brother- talk about a tale as old as time, huh? From Cain and Abel to Hamlet and Claudius to the more modern examples of Mufasa and Scar to Thor and Loki, what's not to hate about about two brothers at odds with one another? Well technically its more of an angsty, brooding guy who's had it up to here with their perfect golden retriever brother getting the throne, daddy's attention, and/or the girl. While our bootiful no-thoughts head empty golden child becomes intimately aware at the last possible second of their brother's treachery as they're falling into your proverbial wildebeest stampede.
That's right y'all.
May I present to the surprise of no one.
THEM:
Finally we come to the conflict that sent the proverbial Sisyphean boulder into motion that is Disney's Hercules.
Part I: And now a word from our IV pound sponsor:
Before I begin my analysis on the relationship between Disney's Hades and Zeus, I thought I would provide a bit of background to the established canon Disney presents us. Mind you, dear reader, we have the 1997 film and the Hercules animated TV show (1998) to look towards. However, there are minor conflicting information between the two, but as always, the movie is always more canon than what the TV show gave us.
Zeus is older, Hades is younger. Weird I know.
But I'm gonna go out on a limb here and support Disney on this one. Because while in the grand scheme of things Hades is most definitely NOT the youngest child of the siblings in Greek Myth, there is a small technicality that cements Zeus' authority to rule over his older siblings as if Zeus was the firstborn child this whole time.
That technicality being: Kronos
Kronos gets the big bag prophecy/curse from Gaia that one of his children will overthrow him like he did with his dad, so Kronos starts baking his cake and eating it too.
Hades was the first male born (hestia is traditionally firstborn but patriarchy or whatevs) so that also made him the first to be swallowed by Kronos. Thus, when Zeus freed the rest of his siblings, Hades was the last son to be up-chucked since he was ingested first - that made Hades the last "born."
And this "second birth" of Poseidon, Hera, Demeter, Hades, and Hestia is what cements the order of authority in the 6 siblings hierarchy. Therefore, Zeus was made firstborn and had full authority to claim the sky if he so desired.
But Zeus was a chad in those days and still gave his brothers a chance to draw lots and all that b/c even he saw how unfair the Fates had been to his brothers. Yet still, destiny favored Zeus and Mr. High and Mighty got the kingdom with a view.
Which is a perfect segway to the next set of rules I'm working with here:
2. Zeus is a good guy.
Okay, I know it hurts to accept this, buttercups, but we have to muscle through it. The version of Zeus that we got in Disney's Hercules is a sanitized, lovable goofball who loves his son, his wife (is that allowed?), and his brother who's going through a phase.
BTW I would like to draw attention to the fact this is the first time in an adaptation of greek myth where Hera is Hercules' bio mother. This is clearly outlining to the audience- hey! Zeus is faithful?
So Zeusy's worst flaw (infidelity, Don Juan, insatiable sexual appetite- pick your poison) has been erased. That's wild, but we have to accept this to better understand the context of Hades vs Zeus. We have to establish who has morality in this equation. Earlier parts of my Hercules Conflicts series had obvious good guys vs Hades, but for this one I have to build it up because of the history of these mythological figures.
However, before I roll into it, I would like to dig on Mr. Thunder Dunder Head once.
This man violated the Geneva Conventions doing this to Danny DeVito:
Talk about some Zeus ex machina- yeesh.
Part II: And Then Along Came Zeus
With the introduction out of the way, now we can talk about the central conflict that kickstarted this movie into gear.
From the get-go, Hades establishes that he doesn't reciprocate his brother's affection. What should've been a good ol' fashioned family reunion turned into a neon flashing sign that Hades is very uncomfy around his brother. Hell, even when Zeus is trying to be friendly he ends up ordering him around.
And I don't think anyone's mentioned this before, but doesn't it seem like Zeus is just as touchy-feely here as Hades is with those beneath them? It makes me wonder if Hades learned this behavior from Zeus.
Now, we also get the idea that Zeus is clueless. Not just to how Hades is purposefully keeping him at arm's length, but also to how the other party guests, the gods, get very quiet and passive aggressive the second Hades showed up to spoil the party.
And you better believe this three-minute scene is the basis for this entire post. And there is a lot to digest here.
First off, we get Hades' motivation, his goals, and the receipts. You better believe this babe is writing in his little black burn book as soon as he gets back in his chariot.
From Zeus, to Hercules, to the rest of the gods, home boy has a lot to update after popping in after a long time. And I hate to be that guy, but a show of hands on who felt more sympathetic for Hades here?
Like I've mentioned in Disney's Most Sympathetic villain post already, but Hades' villain entrance is not intimidating in the slightest. If anything, it quickly establishes that Hades is kind of a loser in these circles.
To recap, while on Mt Olympus for two minutes Hades is:
Manhandled by his older brother
Manhandled by his nephew (ok i get this one, he nearly hurt a baby, those are spikes after all)
Ignored. Nobody but Zeus makes eye contact/or acknowledges him. More than likely this is b/c they can't stand the guy and out of respect for Zeus they've elected to just ignore him and hope he goes away.
Zeus gaslights him - yes, the guy who gave him the underworld job is telling him to slow down and live a little. That's like your boss gives you a crap load of work and comes by to ask you why he never sees you take time off. I will die on this hill that's positively diabolical.
And lastly, Hades gets laughed off the mountain.
Not once in this entire film did Zeus ever check up on Hades after this. Not to apologize, not to make up for lost time, bring up an opportunity for a party you could come to, or perform a wellness check. That would've been so hilarious seeing Zeus pop into the underworld and the entire scene is just Hades shenanigans of trying to cover up evidence of his plot to murder this guy.
Although to be fair, Myth!Zeus had the same issue!
BUT to Myth!Zeus's credit, he made an attempt to improve his brooding brother's mood. And he did it in the worst way possible by immediately fixing him up with Persephone. So you really can't say that Myth!Zeus isn't trying.
Now since I've bashed Zeus I will give him some credit on his first scene. Hades isn't there to stay and chat, he's on a recon mission. And he evades all his brother's attempts at conversation. He cuts bolt boy off, uses humor as a defense mechanism, and he deflects every time Zeus tries to get cozy. Why?
Homeboy found out a new godling was born.
And the way the movie presents Baby Hercules- from Zeus being awkward and kind of scared to hold him- I get the vibes that the writers are making Zeus out to be a first time dad.
Yeah, apparently we're ignoring Athena, Ares, Apollo, Artemis, Bacchus, Hermes, Hephaestus, etc
Wild I know, but there is a purpose to it.
@persephoneflowerpetals made a very interesting blog post about this particular aspect that deserves a look and got me to thinking.
So not to steal their thunder, but Hades showing up to Hercules' Amphidromia (ancient greek family festival where newborn babies are given their name in front of their family & friends on 5th or 7th day of life) was for him to see who his competition was - whether or not Hercules sided with Zeus or not when Hades' own uprising happens.
And by not siding with Zeus, I'm talking about Hercules having his own type of uprising and usurping his father as all the previous kings had done before him.
Which is really cool! It's taking the Lion King/Hamlet story from a different angle. The nephew is just as much of a threat as his father if not more.
You see age doesn't really factor for Greek gods (Artemis was born minutes before her brother and she helped her mom deliver him & the food of the gods aged baby godlings quickly) so it's a very smart move for Hades to see what he was up against very quickly. Hell at this point in time he had no idea he just needed to wait 18 more years for his uprising.
And that's why Hades was more concerned about the sunspot than his own brother. It could very well be that he wouldn't be fighting Zeus, but Hercules for the ownership of the Olympian throne.
This puts Hercules on equal footing with Zeus in terms of level and power and establishes why Herc is the main protagonist- not Zeus.
Hell, if anything, Hades knows from experience that posterity can easily overtake the previous generation. He did that once despite the odds being stacked against him and his siblings even though Gospel Truth claims Zeus stopped the Titans on his own.
Part III: Olympus is That Way
The Titan Jail break will never not be funny to me. We see 5 giant Titans stomping around in the woods, the seas, the fields, cities, etc in what I am assuming is about sunrise?
You mean to tell me there wasn't a single person- or god, we have to remember there are gods in this universe that didn't want to- I don't know- let Zeus know what was coming? I mean it's not like Poseidon would know they were freed from their underwater prison, or Apollo as he's driving his chariot- it is a bit cloudy after all, or any others to notice their cities with mortals actively praying to them are under a massive attack.
Horses were killed, Poseidon. Your descendants. My sibling the horse girl is very disappointed in you.
Now I know this is touched upon in my series Hercules Conflicts Part II, but it does merit a mention since ultimately it is Zeus' fault / laziness that the Titans were able to show up on their front doorstep without anyone realizing until too late.
And Zeus is absolutely torn apart when he realizes it was his brooding baby brother who gave him the ol' Judas Kiss.
I couldn't find the gif of Zeus' realization face that maybe what his brother was going through was not just a phase. However, just like Mufasa before him, bolt boy realizes too late of his brother's treachery.
And what's the last line, Hades delivers to Zeus:
Oh?!
Is- is Hades bitter about the job Zeus gave him? Of being ordered around while the rest of the pantheon got to play around and have some fun?
Jokes aside, but Hades' whole plot, all his animosity and antagonism towards Zeus came because of the lot he was given by bolt boy over here. And while Hades does call Zeus his greatest rival it's because Zeus put him in that position in the first place.
Zeus created his worst enemy.
It's like one of my profs commented once in my classes back in my uni days. The oil spill that happened in the Gulf of Mexico didn't happen because of one mistake. It happened because of several mistakes, several oversights, several safety overrides for the sake of not losing money were made over a period of years that eventually lead to a disaster that no longer could be ignored.
And that is ultimately what became Zeus' fatal flaw in this movie.
His negligence.
We can blame the other gods for not being as committed as well, but it's like Hopper says in bug's life:
Zeus is at fault for his brother's betrayal, his son being turned mortal, and the mess the Titan's left in their wake.
So at the end of the movie when the Muses deliver another absolute banger, the system doesn't change. Things go back to the way they were just minus the one guy at the bottom most rung of the cosmos' ladder.
If change is to happen it starts at the top.
Not to end this on a downer- although we all know how screwed this world is after the credits roll, but I am happy to report, dear reader, that change does happen.
It's small, but it's still resounding.
Hercules chooses not to join his father. Just as Hades predicted in the opening scene if you go along with my theory from earlier in this post in Part II. And this wasn't even with the assistance of prophecy, it was because Hades knew his brother too well.
Zeus has a very exclusive club atop Olympus and he would never let someone like Meg, despite all that she's sacrificed and redeemed herself for. Because Meg is a representation of Hades here. Something I was very vocal about in Part 1 of my Hercules Conflicts Series.
And before you argue, remember, Zeus is the one who told Hercules that only gods can live on Olympus. Bolt boy knew Hercules was about to ask for a freebie for her, but his stance was made very clear on the matter.
So, Hercules refuses. Hades was proven to be correct.
Now, Hades just didn't know why Hercules would defect. And Hercules goes back to being a mortal because of Hades. Because Hades put Meg in the right place at the right time. Sure, it's because of Meg that Hades loses. But Hades got someone to realize Olympus isn't all its cracked up to be.
Through mortality.
The very aspect Hades himself represents as lord of the dead and god of the underworld.
Maybe Hades did win after all.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading!
Till next time, my dear readers
~Angel

I disagree with people defending the Chameleon's Backstory
So when Kung Fu Panda 4 came out there was a lot of mixed reception from fans. Some hated it, some liked it or loved it, and others found it fine.
Personally, I think it's fine, I don't hate but I don't like it either. It could've been worse and could've been better.
One thing that always bugs me about fans defending the chameleon's backstory is that keep mentioning the shorts and one animator saying not all dojos were as excepting. Which I have several issues.
1. We don't know if the shorts are canon or not. The shorts are character backstories. Especially in the secrets of the Furious Five and secrets of the scrolls. Fans would mention how some of the dojos didn't accept or respect certain species. They bring up Crane not being accepted because he is skinny and looks weak. That sure is fair enough. But the thing is in the same short we have Mantis kicking ass! Now we don't know much about how Mantis learned Kung Fu. This is another thing I'm skeptical of in the shorts especially Secrets of the Furious Five, as it was Po telling the stories as lessons to kids. So we don't know how accurate they are.
Then we have the secrets of the scrolls. People also brought up but it doesn't make sense as an argument. Like Shifu is a master and he's also small. We even see other Red Panda masters. People say when he gets mad at the five as an example. But people missed the point, He was not mad because they were different species, he's mad because they weren't the people he asked for.
My rule is if it ain't in the actual movie then it ain't canon or brought up at all. Unless DreamWorks actually says they are canon but they haven't. Btw I like the shorts but I wouldn't take them too seriously.
2. People keep bringing up one animator on Twitter who says that not all dojos are as accepting as the Jade Palace. That would've been fine but like, the issue is that it's one animator.
We haven't heard from the others and not even the writers. Also, they said that Secrets of the Scrolls is canon. But my criticism is that she only worked on the fourth movie and not the previous ones. Unless it's her personal opinion or headcanon. But like I said if it ain't in the movie it dosnet count. I wouldn't mind it if we saw a flashback to see it happen, but we never did.
Edit: I should also mention that there might be biases, as it is an actual animator, so of course they would defend their work but there is also a Kung Fu Panda fan. I do not hate Abbey btw, I just think we shouldn't take their word for it. The context was someone asking who would defeat Death from The Last Wish and the Chameleon, Abbey tried to explain it and gave a backstory that was never in the film. As a KFP fan, she used the shorts to explain it.
Now, as I said, there's nothing wrong with that; I just have an issue with certain fans using it to explain the chameleons' backstory. Especially since it's only one person saying it.
3. Even if the dojos were rejected just because of her size. It still doesn't make sense because we already have canonically small masters. Like we literally have a Master Rat that leads an army. We knew this because we the army's battle helmet at the Jade Palace in the third movie.
Heck, even in 4 Po mentions a Master Chipmunk. So how unlucky does the Chameleon to find the right dojo? There are probably dojos out there who specifically train small animals. Heck we even saw them in Secrets of the Scrolls of red panda masters (I know I just repeated myself)
So that's why I disagree with some fans. I feel like there trying to make it sense in their heads which is fine, but they acted as if were in the movie? Like in the film Chameleons just said she was rejected because was small and lowly. Nothing else to flesh it.
So that was my rant and stuff. I gotta go to bed. Sorry for any grammar mistakes.

I adore ships and I could literally talk about them all day, everyday. Today I will be talking about Cooliver and the reasons why I adore them together.
1) Best-friends to lovers is such an elite trope, especially when these best friends spend every second of the day together yet still never get sick of each other.
2) Oliver himself said that Cooper understands him.
3) There are multiple times where Cooper either changes Oliver’s perspective on a situation or convinces him to do something he didn’t want to do and he is the only one that can do this. The best example is the episode where the Ottos recreate their family photo for Katie’s birthday, Greg tries to convince Oliver to help him but Oliver only listens when Copper tells him to.
4) They are both always so smiley around each other. This is more shocking for a character like Oliver who is not bubbly at all and more closed off. He has never looked at any person, not his girlfriends or his family members the way he has looked at Cooper. It is very clear that they are each other’s person.
5) They are a perfect match. Wealthy boy who does not have a loving family + boy with a loving family who wants wealth.
6) Neither of them are their parents’ favourites. They both deserve to be someone’s favourite person.
7) Cooper finally has someone (in fact a whole family) that loves him for who he is and not for his money.
8) Both of them accept each other for who they are and encourage each other to follow their dreams. The episode where Cooper realizes he wants to be a chef and the episode where Oliver tries to get an internship are good examples of this.
9) They don’t enable each other. Cooper straight goes to Katie when he is concerned about the Oliver wanting to take medication that wasn’t prescribed to him.
10) In Franklin’s words, Cooper follows Oliver around like a lost puppy.
11) They parallel all the canon couples, most notably Katie and Greg.
12) All the little jokes the other characters make about them being married.
13) Certain lines in the script, such as Oliver joking about marrying rich in season 1 and Cooper wanting to be an Otto.
14)Cooper was in Oliver’s vision board.
15) Multiple characters think that they are dating, most notably Taylor.
16) Trip is actually paralled to Cooper in his introduction. This character’s intro was Katie not liking him and thinking he is rich and vapid and a bad influence on her kid, then at the end after doing something nice for a member of the Otto family, which proves to Katie that she was wrong and that softens her towards this character. Whose intro am I talking about? Both Cooper and Trip but Cooper’s intro was done first, which makes me think that Trip’s introduction was inspired by Cooper’s because they are very similar.
17) They could have had any one of Oliver’s girlfriends parallel Franklin and Trip but they never did. Cooper always paralleled them placing him in ‘boyfriend category’.
18) Greg said that Cooper (and Trip) might be around for a very long time. I think Greg might be half-right about this.
19) They gave themselves a ship name.
20) They wore matching tuxedos to prom.
21) This is probably a reach, but they are the only couple who didn’t get engaged in the last episode. The engagement could symbolize an omen, therefore they are safe.
22) Their dreams are compatible. Their dream schools are in the same area.
23) They planned their future together.
24) Oliver’s sadness and his speech to Katie about how much he’ll miss Cooper affected Katie so much that she decided to move Cooper into the Otto home.
25) Cooper’s dynamic with the Otto family, especially his dynamic with Katie.

Anon asked:
5. Is a possible interpretation of the ending that Louis&Lestat are working together again? Lestat said he could go out again if he had Louis but Louis said he had to go. Lestat then somehow ends up going after the guy that Louis was just talking to? Obvi not a coincidence so maybe he's just following Louis…but what if he's doing what he said? He's going out again bc he has Louis. Louis set up Malloy; or at least did so only after his reaction to his story? Maybe a stupid theory lol. ^2/3 anyway, sorry to come at you with all these questions, I just can't find answers anywhere else. Loved the movie and would just like to understand it better. I also think Louis&Lestat could be working together again because if Louis has resigned to killing people to survive, which is all Lestat ever really wanted him to be, is there any real reason they can't be in eachother's lives anymore? Thank you so much for any time you can give me and my questions lol! ^3/3
No worries, these are interesting questions!
I mean, that's an interesting thought, that Louis set Daniel up for Lestat to feed on... 👀 Could be true, but based on the script and the books, and the fact that Louis never hunted with Claudia... (Louis does hunt with Lestat or other vampires on occasion later in canon) but I don't think Louis would send an innocent victim out for Lestat to kill*.
I think in the movie version of the story, my interpretation was that:
Lestat had been following Louis for a while.
When Louis and Daniel went indoors, Lestat crawled into the open backseat of Daniel's car, conveniently parked nearby. This way, he could listen to them talk (the window was open!) and it put Lestat in place for acquiring the tapes of the interview afterward (and the car! And some human blood!).
In the movie's timeline, Louis had visited Lestat in NOLA (we don't know when, but based on Louis's clothing, it looks like late '80's or early '90's) and then left him there...
We don't know how much time passed until he met with Daniel, San Francisco looks like the late '80's or early '90's, too.
So maybe Lestat went to great effort to track Louis down to San Francisco and followed him, still wounded but desperate to reconnect with Louis when he had revived with more strength.
I also think Louis&Lestat could be working together again because if Louis has resigned to killing people to survive,
Yes, Louis seemed to get over his issues with killing ppl when Claudia entered the picture, she never saw him eating rats.
Maybe he wanted to set a good example for her, or maybe he just finally agreed, having tried to kill her, that human blood is more nutritious for vampires... we don't know! Lestat makes some snip at Louis about eating rats in front of Claudia and he tells her it was a long time ago, before she was born, and "I don't recommend them," with this little slurp to amuse her:
because if Louis has resigned to killing people to survive, which is all Lestat ever really wanted him to be, is there any real reason they can't be in eachother's lives anymore?
But no, Louis & Lestat aren't clearly back together again at the end of the '94 movie, but at least Lestat is mostly revived by the very end, there's hope that he's going to be his old vibrant self in a new age, and maybe even turn Daniel! I don't know what the plan was for the next movie, but there was a sequel planned for a long time, the movie rights eventually expired. The more book-focused fans might say that Louis enjoys his space and doesn't need a constant lover, and that Lestat is somewhat of a manwhore who struggles with monogamy (maybe partly BECAUSE he can't get Louis to commit to him, so he goes out looking for love surrogates), but he always pines for Louis. Now matter how hard you ship Louis and Lestat you will never ship Louis and Lestat as hard as Lestat does. [X][X @high-fructose-lesbianism]
The more book-focused fans in VC fandom generally agree that Louis gave the interview in order to get his story out, and if Lestat was still alive, it could provoke him enough to come out of hiding** bc maybe Louis still has feelings for Lestat, but killing people was not the only reason they couldn't be in each other's lives. Louis suffered in the dynamic they were in during the 65 years together in IWTV. There's been a lot of writing on it over the years but most book-focused fans agree there was some level of abuse from Lestat to Louis (and Claudia), whether emotional, verbal, and/or physical. Lestat threatened them both with harm at different times, and he had been very secretive, which created frustration for Louis and Claudia about their nature as vampires, and even if Lestat did all this out of fear for their safety, or worry that they might leave him, or any other reasons, it was still Not Great, not something Louis would want to throw himself back into so easily!
If you read the books, Louis/Lestat has a tension as a ship that continues throughout, and Anne Rice basically tried to have them finally together in the last book. She had teased us about a L/L wedding over the years, and that never went through in canon. 😭💗
**And in the Vampire Lestat, Lestat does rise and he wants to join a rock band, when he tells them his name, they thought it was marvelous that he was pretending to be the vampire Lestat:
*In canon, Louis kills random people, so that he's not responsible for judging them as deserving of death, even murderers can serve their time and return to society! If Louis gets to know a victim at all, he has too much empathy for them to kill them. However, canonically and in the '94 movie, Lestat kills evildoers, it stems from him saving his village from wolves when he was alive, when he was praised for protecting the villagers and the livestock from those terrorizing wolves. It justifies his need as a vampire to kill, while also making him a kind of hero bc he's protecting the innocent ppl from the evildoers.
Killing evildoers takes more effort in some ways, bc Lestat has to read their minds first or see them be criminals in order to be sure they're really evil, but he enjoys it! Sometimes he spends weeks, months, years pursuing a victim.
Anyway, since Daniel's not shown in the '94 movie or canon to be an evildoer, I don't think Louis would feed him to Lestat.

I'm so kdhdkdjdkd jazzed about the fjorester proposal !!!! But something that popped up pretty immediately that baffled me was these like... cope posts i guess? Of how "beau and jester should cheat leaving their partners for eachother and how dw guys marriage is just going to spice up the inevitable affair" and it's not even treated as a joke and Im just confused? Like i got into cr2 by the time it was over with so idk what it was like waiting for releases, but why after all this time do people hold on as much as they do? Do they like the story or not?
So I will be totally honest: I am not above checking the blogs of those I know hold terrible opinions, for a number of reasons both reasonable (keeping an eye out for potential harassment; inspiration for meta; my genuine enjoyment of analyzing fandom trends) and less so (schadenfreude and sending DMs that say Can You Believe This Idiot) but I actually have not seen this! To be clear, I would not be surprised it was out there - heaven knows this was a refrain during late Campaign 2 and in the leadup to the two-shot - but I thought that most people finally gave up in late 2022 after the two-shot made it clear the existing relationships are still very much in place. Granted I, as always, rarely go on Twitter.
Anyway. I think some of it is just that people whose enjoyment of works hinges on their ships becoming canon, rather than that being one of many facets to their fandom, also tend to not know when to give up just generally (you can look around this website and still find people hopping mad and/or pining for resolution regarding shows that ended before Campaign 2 even started). I think most of them did finally give up and leave, which is probably healthier for both them and the fandom, but there will probably be a dwindling number of holdouts who will gasp out on their deathbed fifty years hence "Beau and Jester should have been together" to a politely confused hospice nurse.
To actually answer your question, no, they do not like the story. I know I've been very hard on people who seem to only be able to enjoy fiction through a lens of either shipping or intense projection of the self onto existing characters, but in my defense, I'm right. This is a whole separate post, which to be honest I've kind of already made several times, but the usual complaint about the Campaign 2 noncanon ships (echoed in the complaints about Campaign 3 primarily by those who do like the canon ships thereof) was that they would have happened and been flawless and perfect but for that Pesky Plot, ie, the story. Unless the entire point of a story is a romance (eg: the genre that is cleverly titled "Romance") romance is always optional.
I also think, to be honest, Campaign 2 attracted people who were patient. This is a good thing! I think that, for example, people who are not entirely feeling Campaign 2 13 episodes in are valid, because I was similarly enjoying myself but not entirely won over by the plot yet, and it was only a combination of that patience and the burgeoning character dynamics that kept me going (plus the fact that watching week to week is a lower commitment than a binge). Granted I think if you fully give up at that point you are weak and will not survive the winter and should probably go watch Michael Bay movies or Bluey, but that's a separate point. Anyway. Some people are patient beyond a point where it is rewarding or even neutral and pass into a realm of showing up to the Story That Has Fjorester and Beauyasha In It muttering "I hope this doesn't have any fucking Fjorester and Beauyasha". I don't know how to help them, nor do I particularly want to, but I do know that not going on Twitter has been super helpful.
One final note: again, haven't seen the thing you mention in your ask yet in relation to this one-shot and not for lack of poking around Tumblr at least; but I have seen people who were deeply bitter about Campaign 2 but are still around for Campaign 3, though not a ton, and this was also frankly true of people who loved Campaign 1 and have not really cared since but still stick around. There's a weird zombie problem in the fandom; you get people who are very invested in being a fan of Critical Role and can't seem to leave, but haven't actually been happy for literal years, either because they were ultimately only fans of Vox Machina, or the Mighty Nein, or a specific ship within that. It is actually something I try to be cognizant of because I was very cautious about becoming that during the stretch when I was more frustrated by Campaign 3 than I am now. I think, ultimately, it's a conflation of one's fandom with one's external identity and I don't know how that happens or how to fix it but that might also be a factor: people who really don't like the show and haven't for years and are grasping at a thing they think would fix that and make them happy again, and refuse to admit it might be time to move on because that would mean they need to change their conception of themselves.

I ended up deciding to write this fanfic about Dean and Robby so now anyone who wants to read will have to stand my annoying butt being insufferable because I LOVE THEM and I’m obsessed 😭 so you can have some fun facts (let me pretend I’m famous here i’m just a dean girl) and then I will post some mini teasers about this one.
1. You don’t need to watch Cobra Kai to understand the story, but I highly recommend to know about supernatural (8 first seasons, at least). I will explain Robby’s character with what I know from the show and some personal insights, because if you have seen cobra kai then you will know how poorly they have treated Robby’s character 😭
2. Dean will be the best freaking dad EVER.
3. I feel like some things may look really out of character for Dean (him being fully affectionate, for example) but on the other hand I feel like that’s the point of it all. I want to show you all how a son could have changed Dean’s life and, mini spoiler, that’s the point of it all. I swear it will be explained and 100% justified.
4. This will be a what if kinda situation based on season 7-8 of supernatural.
5. The story’s name is “soulmates”.
6. I could make Robby straight, but my baby always gave me bi vibes.
7. THERE WILL BE DESTIEL OC they are canon to me and if they are not canon to you, respectfully, you are wrong 🥰
8. BUT they will have a very very very slow burn and I won’t promise to give the fluffiest corniest destiel you may be expecting. I will keep Dean very much in character in that topic and Castiel as well, I always imagined them…taking it step by step. Slow kisses, not constant physical affection, a comfortable silence between them and the prominent emotional comfort they gave each other. I always imagined them keeping it more to them selves, if I’m being honest. I promise not to disappoint.
9. My mother language is not English so I apologise beforehand for the stupid mistakes.
10. Dean will be the most over protective and dramatic dad ever, promise.
11. Sam is going to be the BEST uncle.
12. I still don’t know which characters I will chose to keep, because HELLO BOBBY AS A GRAND DAD? I want to make it realistic but I also want to be happy for once in this fandom.
13. Robby just loves Dean so much 😭
14. Dean is not fond of girls flirting with Robby, and he goes straight to grab his gun when a boy tries.
15. They will be the best duo ever (with Cas as dad 2 and uncle Sam oc)
16. There will be romantic relationships but Dean’s and Robby’s bond will be the main focus.

Is the WAA broke?
Those who have spent a semi-decent amount of time in the Ace Attorney Fandom knows that it's a common joke that the attorneys of the Wright Anything Agency don't get paid, but how accurate is that?
So, @inbarfink posted this wonderful analysis about how often the WAA gets paid (which I highly recommend you look at). It is highly focused on the financial stability of the client and willingness to pay. However, I am still curious about some things.
First, inbarfink was not focused on which attorney got paid, and I want to know who is doing the best on average based on what we see in game (assuming they got paid individually and not some sort of collection pooling where the agency WAA gets paid and then Apollo and Athena are given regular salaries).
Also, how do cases where they’re likely to get paid correlate to how lucrative they are? As inbarfink explains, attorneys get paid whether they win or lose. However, I have never heard of attorneys being paid a flat rate for the case. More often, they document hours, and are paid on an hourly basis.
So cue me being a spreadsheet nerd and seeing what I can find out.
First: Who is the most likely to be paid?
As far as who is “Paid,” I’m just counting the “Lead” Attorney, unless it really is a full team effort. As an example, The Cosmic Turnabout has two Trial Days: one with Apollo and one with Phoenix. Given It was Apollo’s case initially and Phoenix was covering for Apollo due to injury, we’re assuming Apollo was the one to get paid; same for Trial of Dhurke Sahdmadi, where yes, Phoenix was behind the bench, but Apollo was the main one making arguments and is the one you play as.
I’m pretty sure the only “full team effort” is just the last case of Dual Destinies, which I’m leaving out for that, and because as Inbarfink explains, it is Phoenix defending one of his own employees due to a hostage situation. No one is getting paid for that.
The only other case not being included is The Trial of Zak Gramaraye, for the simple reason that Phoenix lost money. As Inbarfink points out, Phoenix is given a child and loses a badge, so they rightfully gave a score of -1. As accurate as this is, it kinda messes with the numbers and averages, so as an outlier, it is being left out.
After putting Inbarfink's Probability Ratings in a Google Sheet, I color-coded some things to help me notice some trends, and boy did I notice some things.
First of all, on the probability ratings, “Wright” fills up the majority of the lower end, and as they get higher, there’s more and more “Justice.” Not surprising, Apollo seems more likely to make sure he’s paid.
But also, Phoenix’s name is throughout the whole list. There’s only three cases that have a probability rating of 0.9 or higher, and Phoenix was lead on two of them. Granted, one of them is Turnabout Goodbyes, where Phoenix would possibly be the most likely to do it for free because it’s Miles, so that could be less Phoenix insisted on getting paid and more Miles refused to let Phoenix NOT be paid, although that’s debatable because while Larry didn’t pay, Phoenix did expect him to.
Still, the point stands that Phoenix isn’t quite the bleeding heart everyone makes him out to be.
Okay, so that’s first glance perceptions: What about what the numbers say? Who is the most consistently likely to be paid of WAA? The answer is…
*(drumroll)*
ATHENA! With an average probability rating of 0.7!
… Okay, that’s a little unfair to Phoenix and Apollo, given that Athena has only been “lead” on three cases that we’ve seen. She’s the newest; she hasn’t had the challenge of dealing with a Larry that’s going to try to get out of paying or being expected to defend another member of WAA like Phoenix and Apollo have. Although, she also hasn’t had a canon confirmation of payment, and 2 of her 3 cases were childhood best friend Juniper Woods so she may do a friend discount, so those bring her score down a bit anyway. Ah, the importance of sample size and knowing how the statistics come to be.
But yeah, as expected, Apollo is the next to be most consistently paid with an average probability rating of 0.68, and Wright trailing behind him at 0.44.
(Also, likely not super accurate because we only saw two of her cases, but Mia came in last with an average of 0.4).
That brings us to...
Who is making the most Bank? (aka: who is getting paid the most?)
We've seen who was most consistently paid, what about what those paydays were worth? Again, this is based on the time the cases took: Inbarfink covered the financial status of the clients in their likelihood to pay, so we're saying there is no change in rate for if someone has the wealth to pay it or not.
Now, admittedly, a really accurate depiction would look at all the time stamps at the beginning of each scene and count the hours that way. However, I don’t care enough to put that much effort into this (... at least for now; I may revisit this in the future and decide to go into more detail).
So for simplicity sake, I looked up how many “Time Units” a case took, with one unit being an Investigation or a Court Session. (ex. Tutorial Cases skip investigation and usually only have one court session, so they have one time unit, whereas a final case with three days of investigation and three days in court would have six time units.)
For the most part, this is relatively simple to figure out. Go through the wiki, count the number of investigation and trial days. Except, while doing this, I had a moment of “What the heck?” Because unless I am reading the Wiki wrong or there’s inaccurate information, there are no three-day trials after the first game.
Sure, the gameplay is longer because the games get more challenging. And yes, sometimes there is a day where something happens, but it is not officially time “On the Clock” as far as the case is concerned ... But I don't think there's and three-day trials after Rise from the Ashes.
For example, in Farewell, My Turnabout, Maya is kidnapped and Juan Corrida is killed on March 20. However, the investigation doesn’t begin until March 21. Also, there’s only two days in the courtroom, March 22 and 23, giving the case 4 Time Units: 2 investigation and 2 court.
There are similar situations for a lot of cases where there is something going on where it is only 2 days officially, even if it plays like longer, especially for final cases of the game. Phoenix has a whole day at Hazakura Temple investigating Iris before anyone actually dies; the MASON System shows Phoenix’s follow-up investigation after Zak disappeared; Turnabout for Tomorrow shifts from Phoenix and Miles debating Athena’s innocence to all WAA and Blackquill going after the Phantom; Turnabout Revolution has the civil case with Apollo vs. Phoenix AND Apollo going up against both Nahyuta and Ga’ran. Something happens to make gameplay three days or multiple cases in one, but as far as payment goes, it’s one two-day case.
I could have sworn there were more three-day trials after the first game, but I guess maybe I was wrong.
Then, to get the “Pay Rate” I multiplied Inbarfink’s Probability Rating by the number of Time Units.
So here’s the interesting thing: Phoenix is the only member of WAA to have had 3-day trials. He only had three of them, but he’s the only one to have them. Also, two of those are also two of his three with a Probability of getting paid that’s higher than 0.75. If Phoenix budgets well (which I kinda want to assume he does given that last we saw he still had a Nokia brick), he might have gone at least the rest of the trilogy on Turnabout Samurai and Turnabout Goodbyes. I mean, on a scale of one to six, Phoenix is the only one with cases over four, and he has two of them.
Now, Apollo is still ahead when it comes to “how much do they get paid per case” on average. However, it is a much tighter race.
Probability is ranked from 0-1, with Apollo at 0.68 and Phoenix at 0.44. Convert to the percent of what is possible (68% and 44%, respectively), and Apollo is in the lead by 24%.
However, the Pay Rate is ranked from 0 (not getting paid) to 6 (a score of 1 for definitely getting paid, times 6 Time Units). Apollo has an average Pay Rate of 2.04 out of 6 (34%) and Phoenix has an average Pay Rate of 1.94 out of 6 (32.3%). So as far as how much they’re getting paid on average, Phoenix is only behind Apollo by 1.7%.
Also, so far, Athena with her three cases, two of which didn’t have an investigation (that we saw at least), is still doing pretty okay with a Pay Rate of 1.73 (28.8%), and as far as Mia with her only two cases also not having investigations has a Pay Rate of 0.4 (6.7%), so… oof.
So there you go: Despite Phoenix's bleeding heart reputation, Mia is actually the broke bitch of the attorneys that have worked in that office. (Joking, obviously we only saw two of her cases so we don't have an accurate measure).
Apollo is the most likely to get consistently paid, and because of that he gets paid the most. However, while Phoenix has the most cases where he has a low expectation of getting paid, whether from someone trying to get out of paying or the goodness of his heart or just having too many other things on his mind, Phoenix also has some high clientele and he is the only one to end up with the on-the-wire three-day trials.
And of course, all this is based only on the cases we see in the games. Maybe if we get AA7, we'll see Athena or Apollo get their first three-day trial, or maybe being the only defense attorney in Kur'ain Apollo will have to do more pro bono work. We shall see.
Oh, and here's the full spreadsheet in game order, if anyone wants to make any other interesting observations.
Each Game and Lead Attorney was given their own color.
For the number color keys:
Probability Rating: Less than 0.25 is red, 0.25 to 0.5 is orange, 0.51 to 0.74 is yellow, and greater than 0.75 is green.
Investigation and Court Sessions: 0 is red, 1 is yellow, 2 is turquoise, and 3 is green.
Time Units: 1 is red, 2 is orange, 4 is turquoise, and 6 is green.
Pay Rate: Less than 1 is red, 1 to 2 is orange, 2 to 3 is yellow, 3 to 4 is purple, and greater than 4 is green.

im not too into gijinko but the sleazy burly king boo is sending me in a good way
To be honest I just draw gijinkas for three reasons,
1 is because it's way easier for me to draw it (For example, if one day I come with a "human" Bowser it's mostly because I suck at drawing him! He's so hard to draw!)
2 is because sometimes it just fits better with the context of what I'm trying to do, the latest drawings are the perfect example of this.
and 3 is because I like drawing clothes and humans! And you can imagine how weird it would be if I gave clothes to the actual canon King Boo aksjdh The dude is literally ball shaped, it would look ridiculous X)
the 4th secret reason is that my style do have conflicts with my need to draw close to canon, my perfectionism in regards to how I perceive characters is very strong, so even if I want to really commit to the need to actually adapt the canon designs to my style, I still have a hard time to let myself have the creative freedom to do so.
You can see this on the way I drew Super Dimentio (and my old designs of the Bleck crew too), I really wanted to give it a cooler design since a lot of artists here do amazing jobs at adapting the original to their interpretations, but I ended up just giving extra details to it instead. So like, you can see that it is not just skill issue aklfhdaf (And that is also the reason why I prefer to draw my versions, because I feel that I'll never do the originals justice)
But anyways, I'm glad my design has a positive feel for you! I really love to draw him that way, and knowing people do like it makes doing all that art even more fun!
#camprella answers#thanks for the ask!#about art#big text here#but I kinda have the need to justify my reasons akjsdg

can't find my post so i'm remaking it. i really think there's a lot of meaning behind the early social link with yukari where she asks kotone what her favorite flower is. the options are gerberas, roses, sunflowers, and tulips. all of these flowers are symbolic of love; gerberas mean loyal love, roses are THE symbol of love, and sunflowers can mean devotion, sometimes interpreted as love. All these answers will give you 3 points toward your relationship with her. However, tulips will only give 2.
Because they represent *perfect* love.
and that's what gets me. yukari wants love, devotion, loyalty, but she KNOWS kotone isn't perfect; she's not either. no one is, and it makes sense why this is the only choice that she doesn't like. persona 3 (and the series in general) is about trying to grow and change as a person, about bettering yourself even if its hard, even if you're in the most dire of circumstances, and i think yukari is the best example of these themes. and for kotone to say she wants perfection? that she wants something that needs no work or improvement? of course it rubs her the wrong way.
but the others, especially gerberas? they symbolize yukaham to me. no matter what happens, no matter how the group's loyalty to each other and their mission wavers, yukari and kotone never ever give up on each other. even when yukari wonders if making friends and trusting people is worth the effort, she still trusts kotone to lead SEES and continues to confide in her even when she feels like giving up.
and looking at post-canon/p4au potential, it lets kotone confide in yukari too, once the pressure of saving the world is off her shoulders and she's out of high school. her old mask doesn't need to be there anymore; she finally can break out of her shell. and who better to help her do that than the girl who she gave the strength she needed to reconnect with her mother and move on from the loss of their blue haired companion? yukari can return the favor and its so romantic to me
