My Trip to Walt Disney World’s Epcot as a Regressor✨🥰🪩 Part 1 (SFW!)
Here’s the First part of a thread talking about my day as a Regressor at Epcot! Below I’ll talk about the rides and the park’s layout!
See the thread below! 🧵⬇️
Disclaimer- No one in my life knows about my Regression so I couldn’t fully fully regress, you know. Didn’t stop me from slipping a few times. I mean Disney is made for the kid inside of all of us! Perfect place for a Regressor!😄
Click here for part 2 of my Epcot adventure (food, countries and shopping)😁🛍️⛩️🥨
First and foremost let’s talk about Florida right now (January)🌴
This is honestly the best time to be visiting Disney World/Florida! It’s the off season meaning while everyone is back to work or school after the holidays, the parks are very empty! This means lower wait times for ride and character meet and greets!
Weather wise is relatively nice! It’s not too hot (60-70s Fahrenheit) which is great weather for Florida which is usually in the high 90s. I wore a lightweight long sleeve and leggings and was comfortable all day! Just be sure to look out for random rainy days😬
Next let’s talk about the layout of Epcot!
Epcot is massive! It’s very long and has a lot of walking! For those of you who have issue with mobility this is something to keep in mind when you visit here. In total I walked over 8 miles🤯 and I felt it💀 My legs were killing me😭 The best thing to do is pace yourself. While my health issues aren’t with mobility I could feel myself starting to get dizzy and nauseous from walking so much. But then I took a moment and sat down and relaxed. Then I started to feel better.😌
Epcot is split into two different sections, The World Celebration & The World Showcase!
Let’s start with The World Celebration!
Rides in the World Celebration🏎️💨
The World Celebration is the place for rides!! While there are some amazing rides in the World Showcase, the World Celebration has the majority of Epcot’s rides. I’ll break the rides down based on headspace😁
For younger headspace Littles these are the rides for you:
Living with the Lands - a boat ride around Disney’s Greenhouse. Nice to sit back, relax and eat something while riding along. Also super interesting!
Journey into Imagination - I LOVE THIS RIDE!! AHHHH!! Super cute!!! This ride has me regressing like crazy! Now I’m a bit biased, I love the main character of this ride Figment🥰 Figment is this cute Dragon Dinosaur looking guy who’s super energetic about imagination! It’s a super inclusive and calm ride. You slowly ride around the imagination center and go through “test” to spark your imagination. I highly suggest this ride to everyone!
Spaceship Earth - This ride is IN THE EPCOT BALL🤯 Another cool ride talking about the evolution of humanity. It’s a slow sitting ride that you just sit back and enjoy!
Soarin - This ride is sooooooooo relaxing! You sit in a little hang-glider and fly around the world thanks to a projection screen! Super fun and in my opinion very relaxing!
The Seas with Nemo and friends - I sadly didn’t get to go on this ride so I can’t give an opinion on it. But it looks like fun from what I’ve seen online.
I would like to mention, the World Celebration has more thrill rides than easier rides. I would say the World Showcase has better rides for younger Regressor, for people who have issues with motion sickness or for people who just enjoy slower rides instead.
Now for my older Littles and thrill seekers:
While my headspace is on the younger side I have to admit…I LOVE ROLLERCOASTERS/FAST RIDES
Test Track - One of the fastest rides in all of Disney World in Florida! This ride is so much fun! You’re essentially the test dummy for a new car, going through an obstacle course in your car and then you go on this long straightaway that reaches speeds of 65 mph!!
Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind - As a huge marvel and rollercoaster fan this is a match made in heaven for me! The ride was so much fun! It does great fan service to any fan of the guardian. They have great twist with the preshow. Every ride has a different song! I got Blondie - One way or another, which was a great song for this type of rollercoaster! LET ME WARN YOU, this rollercoaster doesn’t just turn fast, go up and down, it spins a lot! If you are a person who get motion sickness from spinning this isn’t for you! But if you don’t mind it I highly recommend this ride. Below I have a photo of the lobby when you first enter (left photo) the spaceship outside the attraction(middle photo) and the loading area when you get on the ride (right photo)
Mission Space - Now this is where people who have been to Epcot might disagree with me. Honestly I’m not the biggest fan of mission space. The ride is a simulation ride that makes you feel like you’re being launched into space. The ride has two options, one that actually put g-forces on you to actually simulate the feeling and another that doesn’t. I haven’t been on the g-force one but my friend have and they got very sick from this ride. I went on the safe version and it’s honestly kind of boring. I would skip this.
Onto Epcot’s World Showcase⛩️
Epcot is primarily known for its 11 pavilions for countries around the world! This is where you spend most of your time walking around because this lake is HUGE.
The countries are: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, France, United Kingdom and Canada.
Rides in the World Showcase🐀🧑🍳
Mexico’s Grand Fiesta Tour - This is a have to ride for all regressors, Caregivers and everyone in between! I really love this ride! It’s like it’s a small world but only for Mexico! It stars the three caballeros which includes Donald. It’s a boat ride tour of Mexico with Donald Duck’s antics! I took a video for you guys of the finale with the three caballeros! Enjoy!🥰💞
Norway’s Frozen Ever After - Another boat ride through Elsa’s ice palace! It’s really fun! It does backwards at one point! Super cool! And the special effects are out of this world!
France’s Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure - This ride is adorable!! You gotta try to get on this ride! As a huge fan of the movie I made it a point to go on this ride! You sit in a little mouse car. Everything is giant to simulate you as a rat yourself! It’s absolutely adorable and so much fun! More photos below!😄
Thank you for reading🥰! Click here for the second part! If you have any Epcot questions comment below!😄
In the second park I talk about the parks food, the shops and the overall experience! Plus more photos!

That's the question of what is behind the Parthenon which is one of his ruling houses and it was his and he did rule from there for a short time and it is Zeus we're talking about and Hera ruled from there too but hers was across from his and it was moved and it was moved down the hill by you people you humans. And he was a kind and just ruler and it didn't last long before you ran in there to glad that yours and we had to evacuate before you got there but we did build it there on purpose and for you to do that and you guys ruled from there for many years and then you answered your woman and it is a sign that shows that and it has been forever ingrained in their memories house she was kicked down the hill and there's even a song and a few other things in America about it Jack and Jill. And he is actually taking a back from it ways and they're equal but in different ways and you're being mean and sometimes he has moments but really he does think that way a little. There are a few other things there is a giant mounted Hill underneath that underneath it is a huge dome very huge in diameter and it goes down about 5 to 10 miles it is hand cut stone and it's piled and it's not monolithic but it is above something directly above it just as our son says my brothers make a computer is directly below Epcot center and that's how they did it because they were ruling here after he was and I'm his father and his mother is here too and we are God and Goddess of Greece
One of our names is Athena and her husband is listed and they know what it is and they're not letting it out because of the man woman fight that's my wife's name
Kiju where a zapping people back then and many of these statues are actually people and you can tell because of what the material looks like if broken it's porous and it looks very odd and it's not shaped right and then some of it has bone in it and they scanned a lot of these and found some of them are people and we have Kaiju, and it is of Our own and you have seen it in movies and it's not his kraken although it's origins are near here Greece and he did it to honor us. It's very near here as a matter of fact it's in the Mediterranean that's where origins are and it's not where they were formed it's where the first parent is from and that is our monster it is a sea monster and you have seen it and yes it's name is well it's a leviathan and a big monster it looks like Raiju no. It does look like the monster and creature that Hera runs in the movie Aquaman and it is near there the lost city of Atlantis is near Athens and people call it that I mean it's buried by lava but really there's a cavern and it's below the volcano and she is in there and he's like jolene's name Belmonte and that's very close to what her name is and that is our empress and it is the monster who is controlled by Athena most often but they have mutated into her any times because of their job
God of Greece
And me yes I have there at the above and my name is Athena
Olympus we're very proud of our son and what he's done and we are proud of this place you did make a humongous mess he says that is for a very very good purpose and the mess is ours and on purpose and the history is deep and Rich and everywhere people are saying it these people are very huge and has said a lot and put a lot in writing a lot of it is why we're wrong and it's all over the world and they don't want to continue living with us at all and they say what they're doing is very huge and they feel they deserve it in some ways that don't want to die and that's reality and they're horrified by many of the statues that turn out to be humans assuming beans and horses and more it died when they were hit even real centaurs and people couldn't believe it they thought it was humans attached to them and they're not they're mutants and they can become fully human and they're strong as people they're very strong and there are some around

I just read both the australia and museum post and the chaos levels are top tier, but like imagine the chaos that ensues if lord diavolo discovers about amusment parks and immediately just buys tickets to disneyland. Lucifer is basically the dad trying not to loose his children(lord diavolo included). Lord diavolo wanting to ride a loopy rollercoaster and just having the time of his life! (Also I highkey see diavolo ordering lucifer to make a disneyland in devildom tbh) Also mouse ear headbands!
This..... this took forever
Hey there anon! Sorry it took literally a year to answer this! If you’re still into Obey Me, I hope this was a pleasant surprise.
Also for the first time ever a scenario post is being put under the cut for length purposes. This scenario is 2.6k words Jesus
Please note that the last time I went to Disney was in 2015, so anything that’s newer than that is taken from the extensive reading of Disney advice blogs I read in preparation for this post. Anything older than that is likely from experience.
Also, I tried my best to keep this spoiler free for the attractions that can be affected by it.
--
So the Devildom DOES have the concept of amusement parks. I slept on this ask for so long that we’ve learned about Devil’s Coast. It seems to be more akin to a smaller-scale theme park, though. Small-ish. I’m used to NYC idk what constitutes as small.
Something like Disney World is on such a larger scale!! When Diavolo heard about that, he knew they had to go.
They are going to Disney World in Orlando because it’s the only one I’ve been to.
Lucifer is REALLY getting tired of these field trips, but there would be no weird animals, and there would be no sobering lessons on global extinction events at a family-friendly amusement park. He. He can handle this.
Solomon has actually been banned from all Walt Disney theme parks. We’re talking blacklist-level banned. He’s barred from ever entering any Disney park ever again. However, this was back in 1976, so this must be, like, his son or something, right? There’s no way this is the same guy. Thought the security guard who let him in.
What did Solomon do to get banned? When asked, he only gave a curious hum. “Yeah, I wonder.”
The place is split into four parks, so they’ll spend one day in each.
Barbatos continued to flex his power as the only one in the group with a brain cell, being sure to get them all fast passes. He even set time back just for the passes while they were booking the rides they wanted to cut the lines for, so if they don’t get used he’s going to be very snippy.
Also for convenience sake this is taking place in an AU where everything is the same but COVID doesn’t exist to shut down some rides and attractions.
Day 1: Hollywood Studios
MC and Simeon basically have to coerce Lucifer into letting everyone run free instead of making them all line up with a walking rope all day. He relents on the condition that everyone checks in periodically so he can at least know they haven’t killed anyone.
Nobody will check in except for maybe Beelzebub and those at Purgatory Hall.
Levi immediately gathered his fellow Star Wars fans (which basically meant calling over Mammon Belphie and Asmo and then pulling in two unsuspecting people suddenly given the title of “Star Wars fan”), and made a beeline for Galaxy’s Edge. There’s a LOT to do there and damn it if he wasn’t going to hit all of it.
First up for their group is the interactive Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run. They fail the mission. Levi’s pretty pissed, but everyone agrees that it was fun nonetheless. They really felt like they were doing a mission in the Falcon! Plus, the gameplay element was totally up the alley of most of this group. Simeon does feel a little nauseous from Luke’s jerky steering, though.
Did you know that Diavolo loves Toy Story? He does. He’s very much enjoying the Slinky roller coaster with Barbatos.
Barbatos would rather be spending time at the shows and performances, but oh no god forbid we don’t get an autograph from Doc McStuffins. Lucifer please come find him and save him.
Lucifer somehow wandered into the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. He wants out. Barbatos please come find him and save him.
In general, Lucifer isn’t a fan of these sorts of places, so honestly he’s just hiding from the others and waiting for today to be over. Barbatos told him that there are parks that don’t revolve around rides and characters, and he’s holding out for those.
Luckily for them Diavolo wants to do LITERALLY everything, and that does include the shows, so Barbatos and Lucifer can have at least some fun today
Levi, Asmo, and Beel are about to start their relay for getting character autographs when Satan shows up out of nowhere and starts dragging everyone over to the Tower of Terror. Solomon bars all attempts to flee on a certain Avatar of Greed’s side.
The line to the Tower is so long, and honestly? Satan feels like the ride didn’t live up to the literal hour they waited to get on. Like yeah it was fun, but way too short.
He voices those thoughts, and Levi, who Satan knows is afraid of heights, is pretty fucking livid and drags him to Rock n Rollercoaster as revenge. Satan hates roller coasters.
As for the others, Asmo and Luke have a lot of fun on the thrill rides. Mammon and Simeon do not. Beel is a little spooked by them but still manages to have fun, while Belphie and Solomon think they’re alright.
Eventually, Simeon gets too sick to move, and they assign him to Luke. They say it’s because he’s too short to ride some of the rides (even though he’s literally not, screw you guys.)
Barbatos messes with time a lil bit so they can enjoy the Fantasmic Show and Fireworks to wrap the day up.
Levi is very jealous of Diavolo’s Doc McStuffins autograph. Somehow Asmo has Buzz Lightyear’s number.
Day 2: Animal Kingdom
Satan is vibrating
He literally instantly sprints to the Kilimanjaro Safari. And good for him; that’s something best done while the sun isn’t high up. The whole gang actually agrees to check that one out, and while Satan isn’t thrilled to be within 50 feet of Lucifer, he’s glad Simeon is there because he remembers how his presence lured animals out in Australia.
Simeon also finds himself pulled along the trails by Satan and parents watch in horror as a gorilla gives him a friendly pat on the back.
If you didn’t know, Animal Kingdom is divided into the two continents of Asia and Africa, as well as the secret eighth continent Avatar (2009). Diavolo heard great things about the Flight of Passage ride, but he totally forgot to tell Barbatos about it, so they’re stuck on a three hour wait line now.
Levi takes Luke on the Everest roller coaster because Simeon saw it in the distance and looked like he was about to cry. Levi wouldn’t shut up about how the yeti effect needs to be fixed and Solomon had to explain that the effect literally couldn’t support itself.
Simeon, having escaped a roller coaster for the first and only time on this trip, grabs lunch with Lucifer and Solomon and they enjoy the Lion King performance together. Solomon’s the only one of them who’s seen the movie, but the others still found it fun. Solomon keeps making up random plot points that don’t exist, though. Remember when Simba was captured by pirates?
Mammon found the Bugs Life show very scary. Normally Asmo would laugh at him, but he’s afraid of any bug he’s never seen before and at least Mammon was afraid of the things that were supposed to get you. They agree that bugs are still not their friends.
Satan has many things to say about the Dinosaur ride and most of them aren’t good. Belphie thought it was pretty ok, though. Lucifer can’t believe there was a sobering lesson on a global extinction event at this family-friendly amusement park.
Diavolo is still in line. Barbatos abandons him. He accompanies Luke to the kiddie fossil thing and actually finds it more tolerable. Oh yeah that’s the other secret ninth continent, Dinoland.
Beel and Belphie spend most of the day together at the various petting zoos. Belphie comes back knowing more than he ever wanted to about conservation. He thought Rafiki’s Planet Watch was going to be about watching other planets, not this one!
Asmo gets very interested in the costumes of the performers, as well as the parrots in the bird show. He could probably make some really colorful designs with those as inspiration.
Nearby, Mammon runs into Kevin and squawks in surprise. The zoo staff spend the next two hours trying to find the bird that escaped.
Diavolo says the ride was worth it, don’t worry.
Honestly this park has a lot of stuff that wouldn’t translate well to a funny scenario post so this part might be a little short compared to the others. I can only talk about a zoo for so long.
Anyone remember the Honey I Shrunk the Kids 4D show? Apparently it closed in 2016 to make room for more Star Wars stuff.
Anyway, at the center of it all there’s the Tree of Life, which is really pretty all day. Lucifer is thrilled to have a decently obvious meet-up place, too. They get to catch the brief awakening show at night.
They’re very bummed to learn the Rivers of Light show isn’t happening anymore, so Levi pulls it up on his phone so they can watch it in spirit.
Then Satan learns about the Wilderness Explorers badges and the others spend the rest of the time preventing too much collateral damage over the fact that nobody told him.
Day 3: Epcot
Finally, Lucifer thinks. Boo, Luke thinks.
Beel didn’t expect this park to be that interesting to him (he’s much more into the wonder and immersion of Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom), but then he learned about the restaurants. China, Norway, France, Mexico, Germany, Morocco, Italy, Japan, Canada--Canada? Huh. Canada. There’s so many different restaurants from so many cuisines to try, and yeah he knows that it’s definitely not the same as going to the place and it’s overpriced (sorry Lucifer), but it’s all right there. He makes certain to take MC on a deluxe Epcot restaurant tour.
Oh yeah MC. That’s the first time we’ve heard from them in a while. They’re doing whatever you want them to I guess.
Levi buys so much from the Japanese gift shops that he has to go back to the hotel for a bit to drop his bags off.
Satan and Diavolo aren’t much better, but their stashes are more varied.
Also, Diavolo found Mouse Gear, and bought everyone a pair of ears. Lucifer says that everyone has to keep them on because it’s what Lord Diavolo wants, but he is by far the most upset about them. Mammon snaps a picture and Lucifer throws his DDD into the lake.
Asmo and Belphie decide they’re gonna take it easy this day, and they nab Solomon and Barbatos for some exhibition hopping.
Luke finds Mission Space and please father no Simeon thought he was safe he thought he was safe here no please
Aside from that, though, Luke honestly finds this part of the park boring. He’d have been more interested in these attractions elsewhere, but as a kid he’s in Disney for roller coasters and Mickey Mouse.
Simeon is very grateful that Luke doesn’t have much that he wants to do, because it means that he can enjoy the Gran Fiesta and Living with the Land boat rides and have a single moment where he doesn’t feel like he’s about to be sick. He’s not even afraid of the rides; he just gets motion sick easily.
Asmo makes sure to see the Chinese acrobat show, and Mammon catches that with the show-hopping gang since there isn’t much he wants to do here either.
Epcot has alcohol and Solomon hasn’t been able to drink in ages so he really wants to spend some time doing that with MC. No demons allowed, thank you very much. He doesn’t hold his liquor as well as he’d like you to believe, but he just gets really talkative when drunk so it’s ok.
Epcot is a nice day to take a breather and Lucifer and Barbatos definitely needed a breather before tomorrow.
Day 4: Magic Kingdom
This is the day Diavolo has been waiting for. The crème de la crop, the best park for kids and kids in a future king of the Devildom’s body.
Also I feel like now is a good time to mention that this probably isn’t a reasonable order of events because I don’t remember the map layout of these places idk Disney city planning
This time. This time, Levi, Asmo and Beel are gonna get those autographs, dammit. Levi doesn’t even know who half of these characters are but hell if he’s not getting their autograph.
Mammon actually really loves the mascots too, but he’s embarrassed about it so he’ll only try to get one if he can use the guise of MC wanting one. MC, please help him out
Belphie isn’t big on rides, but he does have a soft spot for the more retro ones like Dumbo and Seven Dwarves. And like I said before, Beel loves Magic Kingdom for its wonder. So Belphie is perfectly happy being led (read: piggybacked) around by Beel today, because their favorite attractions match up pretty well here.
Actually, Beel’s favorite Disney movie is Lilo and Stitch, but. RIP Stitch’s Great Escape ride 2004-2018
Diavolo and Lucifer take a moment to enjoy the Carousel of Progress, and they reflect on how much the Human World is always changing and how much about it they still don’t know. It really does make them think, like. Grandma found the VR games at Christmas! The Devildom doesn’t have grandmas!
Mammon is terrified of the Haunted Mansion ride, and Satan has literally never felt so much schadenfreude in his life.
Mammon’s afraid of most rides to be fair, but he likes water rides, so Levi eventually takes pity on him and they go on Splash Mountain together more than once.
The Peter Pan ride broke down
Luke wanted to go on Space Mountain and Simeon was the only one around, so. RIP Simeon ????-2021
Diavolo was That Guy. If you know, you know.
Beel accidentally spun the teacups way too fast. Not even Solomon got out of that one unscathed.
Following that, Solomon manages to drag Barbatos onto the Jungle Cruise while Lucifer is busy. What is Lucifer busy with? Riding the Buzz Lightyear shooting ride over and over until he hits every single target and gets a perfect score at a Disney ride, something that is normal to want and possible to achieve. Anyway, Barbatos finds it really charming and Solomon finds it a nice break that he didn’t know he needed.
While looking for a food place that sells water for a reasonable price, a kid runs up to Asmo asking for a picture and autograph. He’s kind of confused, but goes along with it to make the kid happy.
Turns out, Asmo’s so naturally charming that they mistook him for a prince. Other groups see that family and follow suit. Mammon eventually catches wind of it and shows up to charge a fee. The parents are pretty sure Disney doesn’t charge fees like that, but their kids really want a pic with Asmo so they hand over the two bucks. (“Oh it’s so low” come on Mammon’s not a dick to children.)
And that’s the story of how Mammon and Asmo ended up in Disney Jail. You’re very much not allowed to pretend to be a cast member and then charge money for it. Lucifer has to bail them out as their “guardian,” and as punishment they aren’t allowed to opt out of It’s a Small World.
Small World isn’t that bad imho, and those like Diavolo, Satan, Simeon, and Levi would like it a lot. But Lucifer has been playing parent all day, Belphie does not like the noise, and Solomon has literally been on this ride at least fifty times. Very mixed feelings on this one, but it feels fitting to end with that and a fireworks show.
All in all though this wasn’t the worst trip Lucifer’s been on (cue everyone applauding for some reason).
Barbatos by far had the least fun of them all because for four days he was stuck in a park where the mascot is a fucking rodent and he wasn’t allowed to annihilate Mickey Mouse where he stood
“Disneyland Devildom when” “Lord Diavolo, no”

Soul Stasis [Ship Intro]-
The Day the World Began to End
*SPOILERS FOR THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES SERIES*
The Shannara Chronicles Soulmate AU (I started writing this forever ago and can't find the picrew XC) Also, I lied, I'm putting this out now because the Party is its own thing Warnings: 18+, Talk of death, injury, end of the world, don't ask why the rides are still operating, it's because I said so!
It used to be that everyone had a soulmate, someone they were destined to be with, connected across time and space in one form or another. Some couldn't see the color of their soulmate's eyes until they met, some had handprints where their soulmate would touch them first, some could see any mark their soulmate put on their body on their own skin, others could see the red string of fate that connected their fingers.
As the years went on, soulmates became less and less common. No one exactly knew why, but some believed the universe just stopped caring. The few that were still given a soulmate had very recognizable and common connections, not Regina though.
No, Reggie had one of the rarest forms of soulmate connection, shared pain, the pain one felt so did the other.
She had lived her life so careful, to not put her soul's other half through any unnecessary pain, but then the world began to end and there wasn't much she could do about that anymore.
°•°•°•°•°•°
2025
Smoke and dust filled her lungs, she thought she had more time before the first wave of bombs. She had to get out of this town, now.
"Luna!?" She can hear another woman screaming a few streets over, "Luna! My love, where are you?!"
By the time she gets there the woman is dead, and she can see a child wailing next to her body.
°•°•°•°•°•°
It's been days.
It was only her and the child and the car they found a ways out of the small town in Maine.
They finally make it to her family home in Vermont, finding it abandoned like most places had been. Luckily the power hadn't turned off and she was able to contact her friends in the south.
The plan was still on, and if she could make it there within the month she'd be safe, they both would be.
After packing her father's old truck with clothes, food, money, and gas, they start the long journey to Orlando.
The Stasis plan was common knowledge, the centers of major cities across the world were to become safe haven's to save humanity.
This of course meant every major city across the country was now crammed with people, overpopulated, bursting at the seams.
Traveling through New York and D.C. was dangerous, but necessary, they wouldn't make it in time if they tried to avoid them.
Unfortunately, D.C. wasn't there anymore.
Two weeks in they met up with a large group of survivors, headed south.
During the third wave, she felt her body ignite with a fiery pain so intense she thought she was going to die, it was gone in an instant, and she knew her soulmate had died.
They had almost made it to the city when their group was attacked. She remembered the sharp pain of getting shot in the side and then waking up in a bed in what they would later call home.
°•°•°•°•°•°
It was Reggie and a group of like-minded friends that came up with the Stasis plan when it became evident that all-out nuclear war was coming.
The one who had created Stasis bubble technology was a close friend of hers, a genius for his age who wanted to save as many people as possible.
The plan was simple enough. He made and sent remote devices to as many major cities as possible, had them connect to the local solar grid, and when the time came he would activate them all at once with a kill code set to deactivate them in about 20 years.
While Reggie wasn't nearly as book smart as him, she knew people, how to make them listen and understand. She became almost like the faceless PR person for the entire project, instrumental in trying to convince people to let them save as many as they could.
The world as they knew it was ending so they figured, why not set up somewhere a little magical? Epcot had space and was recognizable enough that people would know where to go. But the Orlando location was the only city that it wasn't common knowledge that it was to be bubbled. They needed to make sure their plan worked, that it wouldn't be sabotaged.
Even so, rumors about it spread like wildfire through her generation, and groups of young adults and families had made their way to Disney and Universal.
There was more than enough space with all the hotels, so they saw no problem with this as they drew closer and closer to the planned activation day.
The team turned one of the large, in park buildings into a control room.
She wasn't nearly healed from her wound that day in the control room, but she needed to be there, they needed as many hands as they could get. Her hands tightly gripped the edge of the table she leaned on as they counted down the time.
"Activating... Now!"
Sparks exploded from a computer behind her, lights popped and flickered overhead, the ground shook. There was shouting and chaos, people panicked, and others stared in awe at the screens in front of them.
There was no clear consensus of if it worked or not. Theoretically, they wouldn't have felt a change if it worked, and they would need to rely on their cameras on the edge of the bubble, but they were down.
They scrambled to bring things back online when she felt her side burn and wetness begin to spread. She'd torn her stitches.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
2000 years later-
It had been two months since Amberle had sacrificed herself for the Elcrys, since Ander had become king of Arborlon, and Bandon had disappeared.
The last Druid of Paranor, in his time waiting for word of his wayward protege, played council to the newly crowned elven king.
He was traversing the hallways of the castle when he felt an immense shift of power in the universe, followed by intense pain in his side as though he had been stabbed.
He fell to his knee, gloved hand pressing on the pain to staunch the bleeding, but when he pulled away there was none. His confusion only grew as the pain ebbed away.
°•°•°•°•°
They realized as a few days passed that their plan had worked, a little too well.
Their solar power stores were at capacity, it would have taken at least 40 years in stasis for that to happen. And the world outside the city was more changed than predicted. It was obvious they had been in stasis much longer than they were supposed to.
Once she finally woke up, Reggie insists on being taken back to the control room, where they were desperately trying to contact any of the other cities.
"We can't be the only one to make it," Brach, the brains behind the Stasis Bubble tech, grumbles to himself. He types furiously on his keyboard before noticing her getting rolled over in a wheelchair, "What the hell are you doing out of bed?"
"I can't just lay around," she huffs, "There's a crisis, I want to help."
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
For a week he felt these phantom pains, smaller ones that lasted only moments. And he poured over every book in the elven library, scoured every page of the codex, looking for any explanation for what was happening. Then it came back strong, not as strong as the first, but close.
"Wasn't there an ancient fairy tale about a human woman who felt every cut her lover endured when he went off to war?" Ander asked from between the shelves, causing Allanon to pause.
"The story of the Soul tether," he says, going back to looking over the spines of old books, "Ancient humans believed that the universe made them each in pairs, and left them to find each other as they wandered the earth, forever connected by a red string of fate."
"Even if these stories were true, no one in the past 300 years has ever claimed to have had a true soul teth-"
"King Ander, I apologize for the interruption," A guard says, stepping into the room, "The Fallen Kingdoms have Risen."
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
"Thi... ew York... lease, is there anyo... till out there?" The voice crackled over the radio.
"Brach!" Reggie exclaims, jumping to her feet before groaning in pain.
She feels his hand on her back, "What's wrong?"
"It's New York," she grins through the pain, "The signals weak, but it's there."
"My lucky charm," he pulls her into a quick hug, excitedly kissing her head, before taking the microphone, "New York, this is Orlando, we read you."
°•°•°•°•°•°•°
Another week and they managed to get ahold of most of the other cities. Somehow the satellites still worked, considering they had no idea how long they were frozen.
L.A. called in saying they had contact with a man calling himself a king. He had requested to speak to the leader of what they called "The Fallen Kingdoms," after consulting with the other cities, they told him that Orlando was the main base and showed him where to go.
They had two weeks. Two weeks to scrape together some kind of leadership.
Through the chaos they held a vote of sorts and a council of 9 was formed, including Brach and herself.
°•°•°•°•°
The Druid insisted on joining Ander's company to The Fallen Kingdom, a place no one had set foot in for nearly two millennia.
There were very few things left in the Four Lands that could awe him in the same way the Fallen Kingdoms did. They were shrouded in mystery ever since the fall of the age of man, and now they were awake, all of them, and teeming with more life than ever.
He had seen the crumbling buildings of the old cities time and time again, but walking among them as though they were new, it was something he never dreamed of experiencing.
Their party was met with shocked looks just inside the city. Their guide seemed to be in disarray as they had arrived three days early.
As they were led to where the council had arranged, it was obvious these people were preparing for a celebration of some sort. The whole place seemed to be vibrating with excitement and anxiety.
"Are you planning a party?" Ander asked, picking up on the mood of the city.
"Yes," their guide, a small brunette woman, answered, but said nothing more as they hurried along.
The king looked to the druid momentarily, slightly amused.
When they made it to the gate of what they heard their guide call "Magic Kingdom" they're horses were taken to stable and they were led inside.
Ander's eyes went wide when he saw the shining castle with golden peaks. It was nothing like the human kingdom of Leah with their castle of gold and great waterfalls, this place had more a whimsical feel.
As they drew closer their confusion grew, the castle was nowhere as large as it looked from the entrance. But they had no time to question it as they were ushered inside.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°
The dining hall of Cinderella castle had become a meeting hall of sorts, three large tables were pushed together, nine chairs placed on one side for the council to sit.
"Now I need you to sit here and behave while I go to a meeting," Reggie told Luna, wiping chocolate of the little girl's face, as she sat on a bench outside the hall, "Then we can go explore some more, ok?"
"Oui," Luna nodded, smiling up at her.
"That's my girl," she ruffled the girl's hair before hurrying into the dining room, already late to the sudden meeting.
°•°•°•°•°
Eight people sat in front of them in the otherwise empty hall.
"I am King A-"
"Sorry!" A voice behind him squeaked as the doors opened, "Sorry I'm late! I was only just notified."
A woman scurried past him and his guards, she was in her mid-20s with bold green eyes, large, round glasses, and pastel purple hair pulled into a high ponytail.
She took the empty seat between two other council members, tucking her bangs behind her ear.
She intrigued him, he thought she was beautiful and alluring.
Allanon felt something similar, he was pulled to her. His eyes narrowed, her thoughts were guarded from him.
Ander cleared his throat, starting over.
"I am King Ander of the elven kingdom of Arborlon," he bowed his head slightly before motioning to the man beside him, "And this is Allanon, last druid of Paranor."
The council shared concerned looks, murmuring to each other.
"Was it something I said?" he whispered to Allanon.
The group looked to purple haired woman, who seemed to be as confused as the rest of them.
"Please forgive me if this is at all offensive, but..." she starts, "I don't seem to understand what you mean by 'Elven' and 'druid'? And where is 'Arborlon'?"
He was taken aback, they all seemed genuinely confused by what he said.
"Our race," he explained, "My people are elves. Our kingdom is northwest of here, on nearly the other side of the side of the continent."
"I see..." she seemed to be deep in thought.
"Were there not elves and magic users before the fall of man?" He asked light heartedly, trying to ease the tension.
"Not real ones, no," she muttered, brows furrowed and he frowned.
"What about gnomes? Trolls?" He had always been taught that all the races existed before the world of man fell, they were merely not as plenty.
"Trolls?"
"Big, nasty things, that will eat anything that moves."
"Wh-"
They were interrupted by the same guide as before, she hurriedly spoke on hushed tones to the man beside her.
"Now?" More hushed whispers. "Thank you."
He watches the man stands.
"I apologize to cut this short, but it seems we have another guest demanding to speak with us," he sighs, pushing his glasses back up on his nose.
"Brach," she gives him a pleading look, "We can't just-"
"I know," he places his hand on her shoulder, "But this woman is claiming to be some kind of queen and demanding some outrageous-"
"Queen Tamlin?" Ander asks, and Brach looks to him.
"That's what she said, yes." he nods, "You know her?"
"She's the queen of Leah, the human kingdom," the king explains, "I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to lay claim to the Fallen Kingdoms, as they are inhabited by humans."
"I see," he rubs his temples, "Why now, of all times? Do you mind stepping out as we try to deal with this crisis?"
"Crisis?" Allanon interjects, "This is but a simple matter of politics. You brush of a king so easily and call it a crisis. This is your kingdom, rule it as such."
"It's not nearly as simple as-"
"Are you children, masquerading as rulers? How is it this place had not fallen before with you all running it like-"
"Because we didn't!" The woman snaps, rising to her feet as her green eyes burn, "Two months ago none of us even lived here and now we've been elected to this damn council, trying to coordinate with what is left of our people, in a world that is radically different from how we left it! Our lives were torn up by the roots while our world burned around us- helpless to do anything about it! We didn't ask for this!"
"Regg-"
"I'm sorry if our last-minute attempt at some semblance of control over our lives doesn't work like the well-oiled machine you think it should. We are just children, adjusting to our new post-apocalyptic surroundings."
Brach stares at her in disbelief, and both Ander and Allanon are stunned silent.
"Someone had to say it." She huffs, slumping back into her chair.
Brach takes a deep breath before turning to their guests, "I'll have Missy show you to where you'll be staying."
"Missy's busy," her voice is shaking, as though that was only the edge of a full emotional breakdown. "I say we pick all this up in two days, after the party tomorrow."
The rest of the council mumbles to each other before agreeing.
"Good. Then if you will follow me," she looks to the elf king and his group, "I'll show you, it's on my way."
"O-of course," Ander hesitates before both he and Allanon trail behind her, followed by his guards.
°•°•°•°•°•°
When they exit the hall, both men notice as the small child sitting dutifully on the bench gets excited and rushes over to the woman.
"Can we esplore now?" She askes eagerly.
"In a bit," Reggie smiles, taking the girl's hand, "We have to run an errand first."
"Who's this?" Ander asks, kneeling next to her with a smile. She hides behind Reggie slightly, looking at the stranger timidly.
"It's okay," Reggie assures her, "This is Luna."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Luna, I'm Ander," he chuckles when she smiles, still hiding behind her guardian.
"Your sister?" Allanon asks.
She looks to him for a moment before hesitantly answering, "Something like that."
"You'll find that families here may not be what you expect," she goes on as she leads them back outside, "Most of us in this particular city are orphans of the apocalypse, the only family we have left are each other."
Ander shares a brief look with the druid.
"So... This celebration, what's it for?" Ander asks, trying, again, to lighten the mood.
"Tomorrow marks one month since we survived the end of the world." She explains, laughing slightly when Luna tugs her arm in the direction of the bakery, "Not now honey."
"Actually, we would love to learn more about how Ancient human civilization was- is!" Ander says, "If you're not in a hurry, that is if you wouldn't mind showing us around?"
"I need to get home," She feels like she's going to cry, "But tomorrow, there will be food, drink, dancing, all day. Will then work?"
"Of course!" He grins.
°•°•°•°•°•°
She gets them settled in their villa at the Grand Floridian. Telling them where to go if they get hungry.
"I look forward to seeing you again princess," Ander smiles, lightly kissing the back of Luna's hand, making her giggle. He stands and looks at Reggie, "Both of you, thank you for your kindness."
"Of course."
"And I apologize for my friend, he had no right-"
"It's fine," she cuts him off, "Good evening king Ander."
°•°•°•°•°
When they finally get home to their own villa at Old Key West, Luna runs up to her room and Reggie locks herself in the master-bed she was learning to call hers.
She covers her mouth with her hand to stifle a sob. She tries so hard to not think about before. Life wasn't perfect but it wasn't this.
She had a family, an apartment, a job she enjoyed, she liked her life, for the most part.
Now she had a kid she barely knew how to care for, a house that was too big, and a job that she had no idea how to do.
Tears cascaded down her face as she tried to regain control over herself, her lungs burned and her chest heaved.
The phone rang, they needed her back at the castle.
She quickly cleaned herself up before asking a friend to watch Luna while she went back to her daily charade.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°
As soon as the door shut, Ander couldn't wait to see her again.
"You're like a lovesick boy," Allanon chastised, "You have more important things to worry about."
"It should have been you that apologized."
The druid looks at the young king with raised eyebrows, "Is that so, your highness?"
"Even I can tell you're disappointed with this place, that's not their fault."
He hums, arms crossed as he looks out the window, over the lake.
Ander was right. He expected generations of wise, well-taught scholars. Not a city filled with what could only be described as broken people.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°
(Don't mind the tense change
She was right.
From the moment they wake up the next day, music can be heard everywhere.
Regina meets them in the lobby after breakfast, which even Allanon had to admit was delicious.
"Where's Luna?" Ander asks.
"I had a friend watch her," She looks at him confused, "We'll probably run into her at one of the parks."
"What is this?" He asks as she steps into the strange vehicle.
"The Monorail is the quickest way to Magic Kingdom."
"Right this way," Missy leads another party past them, onto the train. The matriarch of which seems equally as wary of it.
"Queen Tamlin," Ander bows.
"Ander," She side-eyes him before following her guide.
"It's gonna leave," Reggie warns, beckoning the two men and their small guard to follow. They carefully step on just before the doors slide shut.
People are dancing in the streets, old and young. Some are crying, and some are already drunk.
Everyone is in strange clothing. Ander seems intrigued, Tamlin annoyed, and Allanon gives no indicator whether he feels anything.
"I wasn't sure what you wanted to see first," Regina says to the elf, "I thought we'd start here and let you choose."
"I-" He seems taken aback, "I honestly don't know much about ancient humans, I wouldn't know where to start."
"How many rooms does your castle have?" Tamlin cuts in. "It's not very big."
"Uh... N-not many," Reggie admits, "It's mostly dining room and kitchen. There is one bedroom, but until recently it was a restaurant. And it's that high due to building regulations. It's actually really interesting because to make it look bigger, the Disneys used what's called forced perspective, the details higher on the castle are physically smaller to make it seem as though they're farther away."
"Fascinating."
The druid rolls his eyes at the way Ander hangs on to every word.
"They did a similar thing at the France pavilion, Beast's castle, and with Hogwarts over at Universal."
They all move off the road to let the trolly go by.
"Well we might as well move clockwise," Reggie shrugs, leading her group towards Adventure and Frontierland. Tamlin moves to follow.
"M-ma'am?" Missy says.
"What Ander sees, I see," She frowns, "I am the queen of the human nation after all."
"What is that?"
They all look in awe at the flying carpet ride as they pass.
"This is a theme park," Reggie scoffs. None of them seem to understand, "A long time ago people built rides and attractions for families and friends to gather at and enjoy."
"This is a ride for kids, but since I assume none of you have ever ridden anything like this, do you want to?" She asks, "Cause I'm not starting you on Space Mountain."
She chuckles at Ander's child-like eagerness as they wait in the short line. Tamlin is much less giddy but insists on doing whatever the Elf king does.
Allanon, of course, opts out of such a childish endeavor, waiting by the exit with Missy and the guard.
She'd never seen a grown man so intrigued by such a simple ride as Aladdin's Flying Carpets, even if he didn't know the reference.
Both monarchs are somewhat unsteady afterward, but Ander hasn't ever had fun like this in his whole life. He forgets for a moment, that he is the king of his people, lost in the magic of the ancient world.
They spend the next few hours exploring the park, and she answers every question she's asked before they break for lunch, during which they are joined by Luna.
The rest of the day is filled with food and fantastical attractions until they all have to go get ready for the night's festivities.
What Regina doesn't notice is Allanon observing her, intrigued by some facet of her voice, her face, and the way she walks.
Ander grins when they arrive back at their suite, he noticed.
"You spent a good deal of your time watching Miss Jones."
"Is that meant to be teasing?" He asks the king with raised eyebrows.
"Just an observation," He grins, "I do hope you'll be at least a little more amicable this evening, though."

One word the character would use to describe themselves: spunky What does the character consider their best trait?: his compassion What does the character consider their worst trait?: his gullibility What does the character consider their best physical characteristic?: his fluffy hair !! What does the character consider their worst physical characteristic?: that he’s a short king. stream short kings anthem by tiny meat gang How does the character think others perceive them?: he’s pretty sure most people think that he’s wildly annoying, but that doesn’t stop him from being fully himself most of the time! Relationships with others Opinion of other people in general: kody is a big ole’ ball of love, and thus so, he tries to share that with everyone. strangers are treated with compassion, acquaintances are treated as old friends, and friends are treated like family. unless kody already knows someone to be a bad person, or is wary of them, he’s genuinely one of the nicest people one could ever meet. Opinion of the Scooby Gang: talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it. Does the character hide their true opinions and emotions from others?: it depends on the topic, but for the most part, yes. when it comes to most scooby gang related endeavors, kody will share his thoughts -- if it’s something related to movies or tv, he’ll be talking your ear off for hours. if it’s something that could result in it hurting someone else, he’ll be quiet, and if his vampirism was ever to come into question, he’d be absolutely be suppressing it. Most important person in character’s life: oh god, not to pick scooby gang favorites, but probably aj. she’s the closest thing he has to a sister, and he doesn’t know what he would do without their banter, and her support. Best friend/s: aj darke, dylan frye, & arabella byrne Dating experience: absolutely none. kissed 2 girls in the span of 2 years over 3 years ago. Romancing: kody wouldn’t know the first thing about trying to get someone to date him. all he knows is the stuff he’s seen on tv, watched in movies, or experienced around him ( such as his parents successful marriage, or his friends dating people ), but if it were to come down to him, he’d be extremely awkward. picture tom holland’s spiderman trying to talk to zendaya’s mj in far from home -- because that’s extremely accurate. kody isn’t trying to date anyone right now for a couple of reasons: one being that he’s too nervous, and not exactly looking for love, but if it were to happen... he wouldn’t run from it necessarily. but two being that his vampirism creates a bit of a problem for him, and he’s not sure if he should subject anyone to the curse he’s stuck with.
Extra Physicality: if necessary, could probably lift a car and throw it down the street. as of right now, doesn’t know how strong he really is / is more concerned about hurting his friends with this supposed strength than he is finding out how many hundreds of pounds he could lift. kody in a fight? probably losing within the first five seconds, unless bloods drawn and the instinct to pounce takes over. Species: vampire How do they feel about it?: hates it. would do anything to reverse it. wishes he had just stayed a little longer at karma cafe that night. or had never gone at all. How do they look in their supernatural form?: pretty much the same, however when he’s hungry and near blood, his eyes go all dark and bloodshot, and the veins around his eyes start to pulse ( basically just like vampire diaries ), but kody is unaware of this since he’s never seen it happen to himself or another vampire

BIOGRAPHY
When Dakota was a little boy, there was nothing that he enjoyed more than sitting down in front of his parents enormous, outdated, television set and watching the same three Disney movies over and over: Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan. The third one was his favorite by far; the idea of never having to grow old, to just be a kid, running around and playing with his best friends forever was extremely appealing to him. This fantasy was only encouraged by the fact that his family lived in Orlando, twenty minutes away from Disney World, and frequently would visit the parks on weekends to amuse their darling son and his vivid imagination. And once Dakota got over his fear of rollercoasters, theme parks became his newest obsession. No longer did he love lounging around in a bean bag chair, sipping on a juice-box watching old animated films – he wanted to live it. Luckily for him, he was an only child with parents who lived to spoil him and shower him with attention, so when the general admission prices seemed to sky-rocket as the years went on, annual passes became a household necessity.
It wasn’t just the wonderful world of Disney that Dakota enjoyed – from a very young age he was exposed to the likes of Scooby Doo, The Clone Wars, and Harry Potter, and all things sci-fi, fantasy, and supernatural were easily his favorite things to read about, watch on tv, or experience at a theme park. He’ll never forget attending the opening day of Harry Potter World at Universal Studios, and not even being upset about having to wait in line for five hours to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. It was after that first ride when Dakota made a decision about what his future career would be: he would be a rollercoaster designer – and not just any, the best. The goal was to become an Imagineer, but if that wasn’t possible, he’d take designing incredible coasters all over the world.
Eventually the desire to remain a happy, go-lucky child, playing games with his friends and riding rollercoasters every weekend forever became less appealing, because once Dakota entered middle school, he quickly realized that being the kid obsessed with Disney was very uncool. Talking to girls was cool, and playing Minecraft with his friends online was cool, not his collection of rare Winnie the Pooh mugs that he at one point thought was the coolest thing he could ever own. The love for theme parks and all things Disney still remained, it just became a lot more lowkey as he attempted to pursue an aura of coolness. It was then that Dakota decided to pickup a nickname, and to the dismay of his parents who named him after the great state where they fell in love, North Dakota, he started going by Kody. The obsession with being like Peter Pan still tickled the back of his mind occasionally – he often felt nostalgic for not having to worry that much about his grades, or for the days he could chatter on about his latest trip to the EPCOT Center without having other kids call him a baby – but once he kissed a girl at the eighth grade dance, that urge to be a kid forever was out the window. After that, all Kody wanted to do was grow up!
It was at the beginning of his Sophomore year in high school that his entire world was shaken up, when his parents revealed to him that they would be leaving their perfect suburb and moving up north. This was possibly the worst thing that had happened to him thus far in his life, leaving behind the friends he’d made, the girl he’d formed feelings for, and most importantly: the theme parks he loved. He threw fit after fit, slammed every damn door in the house, announced he would emancipate himself if he had to – he would not leave behind his precious Disney World. Obviously, being a fifteen year old without much say in the matter, within a couple of months their home was packed into moving trucks, and the family of three spent their last day in Orlando exactly where Dakota wanted to be: at the Magic Kingdom.
Starting at a new school was difficult, especially when the town his parents had forced him to move seemed to be the most boring place on earth. At a glance, it seems small, gloomy and uninteresting, and for the first months living there, Kody would spend most of his time holed up in his room, friendless, messing around on his computer and learning the ins and outs of coding. His parents encouraged him to get out, meet new people and make some friends, but it was just difficult – he didn’t want to. He wanted his old life, he wanted Disney World, as pathetic as he knew it sounded. The local Massachusetts theme parks just didn’t scratch the same itch, as much as his parents attempted to bring back the spark they used to see in him. It wasn’t until one late afternoon in his high schools library when he discovered there was a lot more to Bridgemead that meets the eye. It was there he came across three teenagers, AJ, Arabella, and Dylan, none of whom he recognized to be in any of his classes, who appeared to be searching for something. His curiosity got the better of him, and he ditched the calculus homework he’d been scribbling on to follow after them. This became a quite regular occurrence; Kody would find one of them after school, wait until the three united, and then linger behind them at a distance, eavesdropping to figure out what exactly they were up to. Suddenly, Kody had his newest obsession: getting to the bottom of…. whatever they were getting to the bottom of.
It didn’t take him long to realize what their game was, they don’t exactly whisper when they think no on else is around, and as surprising as it was to hear it, the revelation of the supernatural being real was brought to his attention, and he quickly realized exactly what the three he followed around were: they were Bridgemead’s version of the Scooby Gang!… sans a couple of members, sure – but he hoped that maybe, if he played his cards right, he could become one of them. It happened one day when he wasn’t being as sneaky as he usually would, and though they were skeptical about him following them around at first, if there’s one thing about Kody: it’s that he appears rather harmless, and to match that look, he’s adorably pure at heart. They quickly realized that he was simply a lonely new kid with bright eyes and a bubbly personality who was eager to help them on their quest to uncover the truths that hide within their town.
The subsequent year, following them around was an absolute blast. To his parents delight, he began bringing them around his home, and the basement became their unofficial HQ. While they never actually solved any of the mysteries the three seemed to have discover on their own, he was still having way more fun than he ever thought he could when he moved here. Somehow, investigating with the three of them was just as thrilling, if not more sometimes, than riding his favorite rollercoaster. Eventually his friends graduated, but that didn’t seem to split up their little team – everyone remained in town after graduation, attending the local college. In fact, them leaving high school actually resulted in Kody getting more friends, as they added Blair to their group. Once there were five of them, he really felt like they were the Scooby Doo Crew, and if he were to assign himself to a particular character: it would probably be Scoob. The fun didn’t exactly come to an end – just took a dramatic, unprecedented pause one night during winter break during Kody’s senior year on his walk home, after a scarfing down a larger-than-your-head neapolitan sundae at the Karma Cafe.
As much as Dakota likes to think he can’t remember what happened – he does. Vividly. He represses as much as he can, just likes to think he was simply attacked, and woke up in searing pain… but it’s much more to that. When he did awaken, it was like a part of his subconscious had been silenced, the good, sweet parts of him had vanished, if only for a moment to enact absolute terror on a random civilian. After spending about fiveish minutes sucking the blood out of their neck, he snapped back to reality, and realized the mess he had become. He couldn’t deal with the knowledge of whether or not he’d killed them, so he disappeared without bothering to check for a pulse, and returned home to clean up, cry madly, and go to sleep in the hopes that he’d wake up and all of this would’ve been some sort of dream. Unfortunately, Kody did not sleep, nor has he slept since that night ten months ago. When the sun rose that morning, he realized that it’s rays, even glistening through small slats in his blinds seemed to give him a headache, and when he attempted to pull them back and force himself to accept the day, he discovered that it’s heat was enough to set him on fire. The next several days were spent in absolute darkness, convincing his mother that he was sick with the flu and that she shouldn’t even dare to enter the room. At night, he would sneak out, part of his brain shut off again as he’d lurk through the town and find something he could feed on. After that first victim, Kody managed to learn to control himself, it was like the thing that he had become somehow understood how much was too much, and he would leave his victims gasping for breath and screaming as he’d vanish in the distance, unseen and further undetected. Each time he would hate himself afterwards, return back to his bedroom and cry, cry, cry until he didn’t feel much of anything anymore.
It was about a week after the attack when he discovered a mysterious package with his name on it on the dining room table. Inside was a letter with handwriting so fancy that Kody didn’t even bother to attempt to decipher it, a bulky silver ring with Latin inscribed, and two bags of blood. Without really thinking about it, he devoured both bags, and then kicked himself in the ass for it later when he realized how he could’ve rationed it. It was however, what gave him the idea to stop unnecessarily hurting people, and start stealing blood bags from wherever he could get: the hospital, local blood drives, and the occasional trip outside of town to scour nearby hospitals became his weekly spots to raid. The ring was the greatest part of the package, because when he wore it and stood in front of the blinds hanging from his window, the headache he’d feel all day every day was no longer there. He even dared to pull back the blinds and stand in full view of the sun, only to find that he wasn’t turning into a ball of flames – he was perfectly fine.
Once he’d acquired the ring, he was able to return to school, but this came with its own set of complications. The scent of blood was everywhere, all the time, calling to him to come have a delicious sip from any classmate who dared to offer him a smile that day. He managed to keep his composure when he was there, but this did result in him having to miss countless school days to prevent himself from hurting another student or a faculty member. There were dozens of days he can recall stepping onto campus, only to smell that someone had just accidentally cut their hand, or bruised their knee, or the worst: someone had just gotten their period, and he would have to leave as quickly as possible to curve his cravings. These repeated absences resulted in something detrimental to Kody: he was going to be held back.
All he wanted was for someone to be there for him, but he couldn’t tell his friends. As accepting as he knew they would be, considering how they had all reacted upon Dylan’s admission, he just couldn’t. It’s one thing to have an uncontrollable change once a month, it’s another to crave blood on a five-minute basis. That summer, their unofficial HQ found a more permanent location in the form of the basement underneath the Bridgemead College’s library, and this relocation resulted in Kody receiving another slew of new friends: Finley, and as time went on, Kendall both is he a little wary about, considering what he is. As their group seemed to grow, he spent three long, sleepless nights developing the perfect tool for them to use: a website equipped with an anonymous tip system, a message board, and catchy headlines to grab the attention of the average Bridgemead citizen. Once it looked absolutely perfect, complete with a header tilted BRIDGEMEAD’S SCOOBY GANG, he decided it was time to unveil it to everyone. The website came with mixed reviews from the group, but ultimately it was decided that they would be using it, though AJ did have to remind him a few times that Scooby Gang was definitely a working title. For the first time in a long while, he felt like he actually had… real friends, ones he didn’t have to put on some kind of cool front for, like he used to. This time, the facade he had to put up was that he was absolutely normal. Just an awkward, goofy kid who claims he faints at the sight of blood and can’t stand the scent of lemon verbena, and not the truth of what kind of monster he’s become. His only explanations of what was going on with him lied within vague Google searches which returned ambiguous answers, stating that what he was going through was a phenomenon limited only to the fictional world. If only they really knew.
So his childhood dream had come true: Kody would get to be a kid forever, just like Peter Pan.

Disney World (Orlando) for people with young children who aren't millionaires
Tickets, Meals, Hotels, Rides and more below the cut
Tickets: Tickets are generally around $100/day. Ages 3 - 9 pay a reduced price, ages 10 & up all pay the same price. Which means your ten year old costs the same as an adult and your infant, one- year-old, and two-year-old are free. We've timed it so our youngest at the time is an older 2, and that works out well. They are old enough to enjoy everything but get in for free. You can check prices on the Disney website
Sometimes they have deals, like four days for the price of three days. There are also non-peak day prices which are great because they are slightly cheaper and also because they expect less people on those days, so it will hopefully be less crowded.
A Park Hopper ticket (where you can go to multiple parks in one day) costs extra and I don't think it makes sense for people with young kids. Arriving and departing are such hassles that it was easier to go to one park and spend the whole day there, then do a new park the following day. There is plenty to keep you busy at each park for a whole day.
Meals: You can bring in any food and drinks you want. You can use coolers but no actual ice, just ice packs. The lines for meals are so long and the prices are so expensive that we saved a lot of time and money by packing tons of snacks, drinks, and two meals. Eating especially saved the day while waiting for the parade or an outside performance to start.
Out of four days in the park, we ate one sit down meal at a restaurant - Akershus in Epcot. It was crazy expensive but it was nice to sit down for a bit. The kid menu is one fixed price and the adult menu is a higher fixed price. They let us order a meal for the two-year-old for no charge, which I think is standard, I don't think we got away with something. Character meals like that are a nice way to take pictures without having to find them out in the parks or wait in lines. One picture is posed with a Memory Maker photographer on the way in, and the rest are ones you take on your own when the princesses come to your table. We called this meal our four year old's birthday party and then the price was easier to live with.
If you do want to eat a meal in the park, make reservations. You can do this on the My Disney Experience App 180 days in advance. You hold it with a credit card and as long as you cancel by midnight the day before, you aren't charged. I didn't know about the 180 day thing, and was able to get a reservation 30 days in advance, albeit for a weird time (lunch at 3:30). The app makes it very easy to search for times so depending on how obsessive you get (a lot, you're reading this), you'll probably find something! If you have a large group, try splitting it up. We were able to get a group of 3 and a group of 8 instead of a group of 11.
Memory Maker Photo Pass:This is $169 if you buy it in advance or $199 if you buy it after you get there. It allows you to download every picture that any Memory Maker photographer takes of you in the parks, any ride pictures that you want, and you can also do some photos in a portrait studio in Disney Springs. I think this is only worth it if you want to meet a lot of characters. Otherwise, the lines to take pictures slow you down from getting to rides.
Hotels: Staying in a Disney hotel gives you free transportation to the parks (instead of paying $25/day to park at them) and sometimes additional hours in them (called Extra Magic Hours). But. It is so much money.
There are affordable Disney hotels, but they are far from the parks and you'll spend time waiting on the bus and riding the bus. For $200/night at a Disney hotel you are all going to be in one room, so you and your kids get to hear each other snore all night long.
There are so many non-Disney hotels with great deals and lots of room that are within 15 minutes of driving. The hotel we stayed at had a three bedroom suite with a full kitchen, amazing pool, and was less than $200/night.
Strollers: Bring them. They make things easier. You can put your food and your kids and the changes of clothes and diapers they will need in them so you don't have to carry it all around on your back. There is lots of stroller parking everywhere, and don't be surprised if your stroller gets moved when you leave it there. There are cast members whose job it is to continually re-park the strollers to maximize space. It's amazing, really. Using a stroller does mean that the parking lot tram won't really be helpful for you unless you can easily collapse it and get all of your stuff out of it quickly.
Also a note on walking - if you're from a city, you will be super annoyed at how people walk in the parks. They don't know what they're doing, they don't stay on the right hand side, they stop in the middle of the street to take pictures, the abruptly change course. Be fine with it. It's their vacation too. At least, that's what I kept telling myself over and over.
Getting In The Parks: We drove to the parks each day because it felt easier to transport four children and two double strollers and we had driven to Florida anyway. Most hotels, even non-Disney ones, have shuttles if you prefer not to park and pay the fee.
For Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot you park in a lot right there and can walk in or take a tram to the front. Getting in and out is pretty easy. For Magic Kingdom, you park in a lot at the Transportation Center and then take a monorail or a ferry boat to the park entrance. Give yourself about an hour for this coming, and two hours for this leaving. Especially if you're leaving in a crush of people after fireworks or closing time.
Buy your tickets in advance so you can do fast past options a month ahead of time, and then the ticket booth is one line you can skip. You'll have to go through security where all the bags will be checked and then the ticket scanners line. Help your kids remember which finger they used to match their scan! We had cards to scan, some people had magic bands.
Fast Passes & Rides:You can get three fast passes in advance for each day at one park. If you are staying on a Disney property, you can do this 60 days in advance. If you aren't, you can do it 30 days in advance. I think choosing fast pass times midday are best - if you go to the park the first thing in the morning, you can usually ride for a while without standing in lines that are too long. But by 11 am or so, start using fast passes. Once you use your third pass (like, the minute after it's scanned) you can go on the My Disney Experience app and choose a new one. Keep refreshing, different stuff pops up all the time. I think it's better to use them for rides than for shows since you are likely to get in to the show even without a pass.
At Magic Kingdom, there are places to go that don't have lines and seem to stay uncrowded, like the splash area by the Dumbo rides, Tom Sawyer's island, and the train around the park. The My Disney Experience app has a map of each park with wait times for each ride, and walking directions to the ride. Check it to see what is nearby and open.
Children under 7 have to ride with a someone 14 or older. Check out the ride requirements before you go so your kids will know what they can and can't ride:
You Know What You're DoingJust like any day with kids, have more food, more diapers, and more clothes than you think you're going to need. And sunscreen. Make a budget so you're not surprised by how much it costs. Be willing to leave early if the kids are tired. There are cast members everywhere who are happy to give directions and clarify rules. Ask for help, and then remember their name and send a cast compliment to [email protected]

Answering Questions
So..what have I done?
Driven 100 mph - I haven’t, I’m a very good doobie when it comes to driving. Helps that I’m terrified of cars. Ridden in a helicopter - Nope, and I have 0 plans to. Things are scary as fuck if I’m honest. I’d rather not put my trust in a metal tin can that can drop out of the sky. Gone zip lining - Yeah! A few times. My family used to always go to a place in New Hampshire where you’d zipline down a mountain. My highschool also had a zipline for gym class. Been to an NFL game - I’m an ffblogger, do I look like a I enjoy sports ball? Been to Canada - A few times, but never for more than a few hours. My family used to love going up there and going “moose hunting” which was basically just us driving around for hours until we saw a moose. Visited Florida- So, so many times. So many times. It’s a problem. Visited Mexico - Once when I was an infant. Apparently I got sunscreen in my eye and my family had to go back to the cruise ship to wash it out. Visited Las Vegas - No, I had the chance but it’s not really for me. Eaten alone at a restaurant - Often actually. A lot of people find it weird, but it’s the most peaceful thing you can do. Just you, a good book, and a nice warm meal. I used to go to a breakfast place every Friday before work and eat by myself. Ability to read music - Kinda? I know I have in the past, but the instruments I play don’t generally use sheet music. Ridden a motorcycle - Only up and down my neighborhood with my dad. I never really got the appeal. Snowmobile though, that’s my shit. Ridden a horse - A few times, nothing really to write home about. They go bounce. Stayed in a hospital - Only when I was really young and needed surgery. Donated blood - Nope, did you know gay people can’t donate blood. Fun fact. Been snow skiing - Snowboarding but yeah, mountain fast. Been to Disney World - This is gonna sound awful considering I live in the North East. Yeah, I’ve been 100 times. August this year will make 101. Disney Land - Nope but I really want too. Slept outside - Yeah I’ve been camping a lot, and my friends and I would do little camping playdates were we’d sleep in the backyard. Driven a stick shift - Nope, but that also ties into the whole afraid of cars thing. Ridden in an 18 wheeler - Nope. People ride in those? Ridden in a police car? - I have, but for nothing fun. Cop gave me a ride while my mom and dad were in an ambulance. Driven a boat - Not in a long time. But considering I live less than a mile from the ocean. Yeah I’ve had my nautical experience. I actually learned to drive a boat before a car. I was licensed at 14 to drive a boat. Eaten Escargot - I have but truth be told I was way to drunk to remember. That was the same day I dropped my phone in a toilet at EPCOT center. Good times, good times. Been on a cruise - I’ve been on 7 or 8, I love them but they’re a bit too expensive for me. Run out of gas - Nope, but I don’t drive enough. Been on TV - Believe it or not, I was on Slime Time back when I was a youngin. I got slimed on Nickolodeon. Other than that, I have a few published videos that were broadcasted on my towns public access channel. Eaten Sushi - Sushi is bomb. Once I’m out of this quarantine I should get sushi. Seen a UFO - I have, I was in Boston going to the airport. And I saw a strange 3 pronged object floating above the prudential center. Like way above it. It had blinking lights that constantly changed patterns. No idea what it was. Been Bungie jumping - Hahahaha, no. Been stuck in the house for days - I’ve been on quarantine for 2 weeks now. And my works closing down for another 2. So yup it’s not very fun.

Florida people - activity suggestions?
So end of the month I leave for a 2 week vacation in Florida with my boyfriend's family. I've only been to the US 3 times, and never to Florida! And it's been a long time since I've been on a proper trip like this. The last time was when I was still in Girl Guides and we went to London, Paris, and Switzerland.
But yeah, it's gonna be great! We're staying in a nice house near Orlando. We're doing all the touristy things of course. All the Disney parks at least once (Epcot and MK twice). One very busy day at Universal. Other things like Gatorland, Disney Springs, and Kennedy Space Center.
But Tom and I have a few free days, and I was looking for smaller activities we could do. Sooo people who live or have been to the general Orlando-y area, any suggestions? Fun activities, or cool stores, or something? No more big parks or anything like that. Dog related things are always a major plus lol. I was looking for pet events or dog shows or something going on in the first two weeks of August, but couldn't really find any info. We might go to the Orlando Science Center for a quieter day, mostly because there’s an IMAX dog documentary I really want to see. Also looking at the Zoo & Botanical Gardens. Oh and I dunno if there's much of a theatre scene down there, but we do enjoy going to the theatre.

Chao reviews: Disney’s Illumination: Reflections of Earth
As the show is nearing to draw out its final breath in half an hour, it is time I have finally let out my full experience of the show that I have fully grown up with.
My family use to travel alot for as long as I could recall. We would always go to Disney World and camp at Disney’s Fort Wilderness for Atleast around twice a year, ofcourse that’s my guess as how many times we visited the park. Epcot has always been my favorite park. I love the rides, I grew up with Figmwnt, I love visiting the Japan pavilion just to spend half an hour or more at that Japan shopping center and give my poor family a hard time trying to get me out of there.
Somehow I enjoyed exploring Epcot so much that I one night wandered out of my parents sight and took them Atleast five minutes to find me. I have way too much memories of Epcot. Too many stories to count. But what I have always saw as the heart of Epcot was none other then IROE.
As a baby however, I didn’t like it at first. You see, I was always sensitive to loud noises. So much so that I would always plug my ears and look away everytime the guitar would blare out in the beginning of “Tarzan Rocks” (to anyone who doesn’t know it, it’s basically a show that use to be in Animal Kingdom before Finding Nemo took its place).
So what my parents always did was that they would take me to this wine place where the nice old lady would play her piano. Despite pulgging my ears and staying close to dad, I would still look out the window. Seeing the soft colorful lights in the sky and often seeing spark of the fireworks. Even when I was terrified at the firework’s sound, I wanted to love it. I wanted to get over the fear so I can go outside and fully experience. But I had a while until that moment ever came.
The show, expecting only to last a year, extended its life greatly. I grew older, and the easily terrified little girl started to drift off, letting the part of the little girl in me let go of her ears, step out of the wine building, and fully experience it.
I fell in love with it rapidly. So everytime I go to Epcot, my main attraction would to watch that fireworks show and to this day, even when it disappears in half an hour, I will still see it as the greatest firework show of all time. With everything bad going around the world, with having to be forced to watch bad things happening. In the news, people easily getting mad at one another, or the fear on what might happen in the future, all of the thoughts and anxieties subsides when I even listen to the whole soundtrack.
It brings me into the trance that even when bad things happen in the world, there’s more beauty and goodness to it than there are to the bad side.
I was heartbroken when I heard the news one day. My heart dropped and I completely covered my mouth, having no idea how it can be possible. It was that moment when I found out about this I thought:
I HAVE to see it one more time.
It was August 2019. One month before it goes. I went with my friend early morning to take the last glimpse of it. It was raining and it felt like the world itself was mourning over it. In the afternoon, it started to clear up and the sun started shining again. And all of the sudden, when we walking around, I took a glimpse at the lagoon where the globe was now settling at the center of it.
And I saw this:
It was a rainbow. A rainbow has appeared behind the globe. And at that moment, it was as if the globe came to life for a moment as a way to thank me and everyone that has loved the show. That it has done its work and it is ready to depart, but will always be remembered. And that’s when I knew I was finally accepting the fact that it was ready to go.
I even recall when watching the show how much it aged, but remained memorable all the same. It may be gone, but the memory of it once standing on the lagoon will forever live beyond the middle of the lake.
And for that, even when a new show takes it place, we will still move on and embrace a new generation for Epcot.
For that,
We go on.

May 11, 2019
Saturday we woke up at 8, excited for a day at the Magic Kingdom! Haley and I took a little while to get ready, so when we did, around 10, we walked to Starbucks for breakfast. We all had coffee and breakfast sandwiches, then called a Lyft to take us to the Magic Kingdom!
We arrived around 11:30, got our bags searched, and took a photo in front of the entrance. We were all pretty excited! Mom has signed us up for three fast passes again, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Its a Small World (my fave). Our first ride was Space Mountain, so we headed over there first. Guess what? It was hot that day, too! Like 90 degrees. I’m glad a lot of the rides had lines inside! Our fast passes got us through the line super quick, and the ride was so fun! I sat in the front and it was pretty scary! We wandered around for a bit, then went to the castle in the center to take some pictures. We stumbled upon a parade and watched that for a while, then headed to the Little Mermaid ride for Haley.
Next up was Splash Mountain! It was actually closed for the time being, so we went on Big Thunder Mountain. That one had a long line, but it was pretty fun! After we got done with that one, Splash Mountain was back up and running, and out fast pass was still valid! We did that one, and it was just like the one in Disneyland! I got pretty soaked! We ended up buying the picture they take when you’re going done the drop, so that was pretty funny!
We walked around for a bit, then got some mini corn dogs and a hot dog to share between us. We sat for a bit, then went to Starbucks to get Mom her mug. I tried the s’mores frappuccino and it was pretty tasty! It was time for our last fast pass of the day, so we headed over to It’s a Small World. I always loved seeing all the cultures when I was a kid, so it was a nostalgic ride for me. We shopped around for a while, then left the Magic Kingdom.
We were leaving early because we were meeting Nicole and Oscar for dinner! Nicole has been one of my best friends since we met at Western, in 2010. Last year we went to New Orleans (with Catherine too) for spring break, the year before, the two of us went to Puerto Rico, and the year before that, I visited her in Mexico. She now lives and teaches in Florida, in Cape Canaveral, (where our cruise left from), with her boyfriend, Oscar. We took a Lyft to Disney Springs, which was a pretty cool area with tons of restaurants, bars, and shops. We walked around looking a menus for a bit, and decided on a place called Spitsville. It was actually a bowling alley! The food looked really tasty, so we got a table for six.
They had ten bowling lanes downstairs and twenty upstairs! I’d never seen a double decker bowling alley, haha. We ordered some nachos, then Nicole and Oscar showed up! It was so good to see her! I normally see her three times a year, so I hadn’t seen her since Christmas. It was really good to talk to her and Oscar, and have them talk with my family, too! Mom and I both had sushi, Haley, Nicole, and Oscar all had salads, and Dad had a burger. They also gave Dad a birthday sundae, and in general, gave us really good service!
After dinner, Mom, Dad, and Haley took a Lyft home, and I got to hang out with Nicole and Oscar for a while! We ended up getting two glasses of wine at a huge restaurant that was a boat! I just felt so good catching up with Nicole! After a few hours, they dropped me off at the hotel, after buying my drinks! That was so nice of them. I’m so happy I got to see them, and have such a fun day with the family at Magic Kingdom! Mom waited up for me, then we both went to bed around 11:30, excited for Mother’s Day at Epcot and Hollywood Studios! :]

Florida City, Florida Florida City is situated mostly atop a limestone ridge called the Miami Rock Ridge 6 that extends south from present day North Miami Beach 7 to a location in Everglades National Park 8 The ridge, consisting of Miami limestone , 9 serves as the higher ground within the community. Just south of Jacksonville, it's a beach town where you can stay at B&Bs, eat baked French toast and Butter-finger Bites for breakfast instead of your usual IHOP special, go to the beach, tour war forts, or shop on one of the last remaining pedestrian-only streets in the US: St. George Street. The site of Lake City was a Seminole village named Alpata Telophka or Hvlpvtv Tvlofv, meaning "Alligator Village". It's unknown exactly where the particular strain of influenza that caused the pandemic came from; however, the 1918 flu was first observed in Europe, America and areas of Asia before spreading to almost every other part of the planet within a matter of months. Archaeologists have learned much about the Early Archaic people of Florida from the discoveries made at Windover Pond The Early Archaic period evolved into the Middle Archaic period around 5000 BC. People started living in villages near wetlands and along the coast at favored sites that were likely occupied for multiple generations. Thus, 1513 marked the beginning of the American Frontier From that time of contact, Florida has had many waves of colonization and immigration, including French and Spanish settlement during the 16th century, as well as entry of new Native American groups migrating from elsewhere in the South, and free blacks and fugitive slaves, who in the 19th century became allied with the Native Americans as Black Seminoles Florida was under colonial rule by Spain , France , and Great Britain during the 18th and 19th centuries before becoming a territory of the United States in 1821. When the Colonies declared independence, many Floridians condemned it. They had been almost unaffected (because East and West Florida were backwoods areas) by the Stamp Act Crisis of 1765 , which led the 13 colonies to perceive a common interest threatened by Britain. In the early postwar period, the state's population had changed markedly by migration of new groups, as well as emigration of African Americans, 40,000 of whom moved north in earlier decades of the 20th century during the Great Migration 90 By 1960 the number of African Americans in Florida had increased to 880,186, but declined proportionally to 18% of the state's population. Often called the theme park capital of the world, Orlando is home to attractions such as Sea World's aquatic theme park and the 30,000-acre Disney theme park complex, which includes Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center and Disney-MGM Studios. The Universal theme parks have long invited visitors to ride the movies.” By sending hapless passengers on a high-speed highway chase, Fast & Furious - Supercharged, the new, souped-up attraction at Universal Studios Florida, takes the you-are-there action to the extreme. In addition to the hotel's amusement park benefits, there's an underwater sound system at the pool along with musical amenities that you can take advantage of during your stay, from celebrity-curated playlists to a menu of 20 different Fender guitars that can be delivered to your room. Also, the city is home to several military facilities (Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport and Blount Island Command) which makes it the place with the third largest naval presence in the U.S. Unsurprisingly, the military is the biggest employer with an annual economic impact of more than $6 billion. Florida is home to nine professional sports teams: The Miami Heat and Orlando Magic (NBA), the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL), the Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Devil Rays (MLB), and the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL).
