It's been a rough couple of months for me. I lost my best friend on June 6th. Elphie would have turned 17 on the 8th.

She was the best dog I could have ever asked for, and it's been so hard losing her so suddenly in the midst of so many other hard things.

You think you're immune to it then one day you realize your dog has a whole wardrobe. And now you're sewing matching PJs for the pets. Family photos with matching pet PJs loom over the horizon...

Cant believe I used to be the kinda person who would be like "Ugh people who are obsessed with their pets are so weird ew your dog isn't a baby it's a dog". There was no joy in that.
