oh my GOSH! I Love telling people about my Daimon kintype!!!! It is a very rare kintype as far as I know from talking to other divinekin and going through the hashtags.

Most Daimons and people's definitions of Daimons are different but all valid in my opinion. Just like people have different interpretations of the Bible, people will find different definitions and lore, this is just my personal experience.

So I'm going to start with when and where I existed because that's important. I probably existed around the 1800s or so because I am associated with ballet and ballet started around that time (as far as I've researched, if it's a different time period it's that one lol). As for where it was probably somewhere in either Rome, Greece, or France (super original I know).

Doing my own research about Daimons solidified what I knew about myself and my kintype (I can send you the sources if you want). Daimons are invisible helper spirits, they're like guardian angels/demons but instead of guarding they push and pull people in the right direction. They help with luck and destiny and stuff. Not all of them serve gods but they can, and they're on the same level as angels and demons (for the most part). I'm not entirely sure if everyone has a Daimon but I do know that if you refuse help, we're not gonna help you 🤷. I'm pretty sure they can be summoned or at least called apon, and being invisible, they can choose if and when they want to be seen.

For my kintype specifically, I have several forms: Angelic, reindeer, buff-man-looking demonic, smooth (?) demonic, and goat. These are just forms I can shift between so that humans aren't scared of me (angelic form), so that I can move without being seen (animal forms), and it's also probably a product of being friends with angels and demons. My buff-looking-man demonic form is both quadrupedal and bipedal because of lizard-ish like hands and goat legs, my smooth(?) demonic form is just a demon lizard lol. My angel form is associated with winter, those big catholic churchs, and ballet/music. They have white horns, no color or pupils in their eyes, and love ballet.

Kinshifts are both easy and awful at the same time because finding costumes for angels or demons is easy but standing up on my toes for hooves or accidentally hitting someone when jumping and spinning is rough. My kintype's usually invisible and likes to fly and look around and help people, so that's what I do 🤍. And I go to Christmas events a lot so I get my fair share of euphoria. Can't fly though which is sad.

Thank you for the information on Daimons - I've learnt something new! I'm so surprised they're not more well-known. If I do a follow up to my 10 monster & myth kintypes post I'll have to include them. As a Daimon, is there anything in particular your kin was related to leading people towards?

Ah the Christmas songs make so much sense now with the biblical themes of your kintype! From the song discussion earlier, you might like Tommee Profitt's epic instrumental cover of Carol Of The Bells. He makes a lot of amazing epic covers & original songs but this one in particular makes me think of your kintype a bit.

Your different kin forms are so cool!! Fellow shapeshifting kin here, though none of my kintypes are quite that badass. Your angel kin form in particular sounds beautiful, especially with the links to ballet.

thoughts on ruby sunday? i feel like the writers are rushing her relationship with the doctor big time, but otherwise, she's genuinely fun.

i will say i am a little teensy bit bitter about the fact that yaz waited three seasons for information she really never even fully got whereas 15/14 (what are we calling ncuti's doctor?) just dumped it all onto ruby first episode lol. but obviously not bitter at ruby, just sad for yaz. i recognize it was probably a very specific choice by RTD to show the doctor's growth though, so ill get over it

At only 3 full eps (including Christmas special) in, I think I'm gonna withhold any strong critique, but so far, I'm feeling the same qualms, friend! Don't feel guilty about it.

I think a lot of the problems we're seeing with narrative pacing and tone are to do with adapting a kind of quirky counter-cultural program (DW's a main staple of sci fi, but it still had that less crowd-pleasing, more weird unique low-budget vibe until now) to suit a mass-appeal streaming service. The nuance of the Doctor as a character and the franchise as a whole feels a little lost in the almost heavy-handed desire to "start over fresh" (the symbolism of the bi-generation and the time Fourteen is granted to heal before becoming Fifteen) and the urge to make a very quirky story more palatable both to mass audiences and to younger kids. There's a bit of dumbing-down in the dialogue, in the true danger of the stakes, even in the Doctor-companion relationship. Problematic elements have been scraped away to make for a safer environment of storytelling. And there are pros and cons to that method. Disney is sadly good at swallowing counter-culture and somehow spinning it to seem like they were on its side all along: "Look how diverse our new cast is!" Yeah, and that's totally laudable, but that's not to your credit, Disney.

Maybe some of my apprehensions have to do with how terribly self-conscious the show now is. For instance, it made sense for Maestro, an omnipotent and omniscient being, to wink multiple times at the audience, and to "know the theme songs" of characters beyond the fourth wall. But the Doctor? Doing a musical dance number? Adorable, fun, granted, just not very Doctor Whoey. Not the correct TYPE of "weird," LOL.

In short, the show feels good, the show is well done as a STAND-ALONE projet, but it doesn't feel like Doctor Who just yet. It feels like a buddy comedy with ultimately circumstantial similarities. None of this is to do with Fifteen or Ruby, but yeah, I think they're trying to hard to say "this is as much a reboot as a continuation! This is season one! The Doctor is happy and trauma-free again!" And yes I think that lends itself to rushing the relationship's development, and yes, in so many ways, no matter how this season does, Yaz deserved better. Frankly, so did the Master, and so did Thirteen.

Could I be wrong? Maybe Ncuti's Doctor is supposed to be unproblematically wholesome and socially adept. Maybe he's still our neurodivergent cryptid gremlin with a deep-seated sadness behind the smile and the almost alarming propensity for talking tepidly, flippantly, about the genocide of his own people. Maybe at some point Ruby's origin story is going to unlock the things the Doctor is ONCE AGAIN running away from.

Polly had no doubt filled her in on their Cold War. “Yeah,” said George, “we’re still good to meet you at Jalapeño’s?”  “Yep,” said Gabi, “just waiting on Polly to finish giving meds.” “Cool, I think Ross and Waughty will be there first, they said they would get a table,” George said, hooking his backpack over his shoulder. “We’ll see you soon?”  “Sounds good,” said Gabi, flashing George a thumbs up with a glint in her eye. I also want to FINALLY hopefully get the SATVB sick fic finished - I'm just worried people are going to be disappointed because I have taken so long to finish it and I'm worried it's been over hyped

BTS didnt come out with much this year sadly, but of 2021, my apple music replay says I liked permission to dance more, idc what everyone says, I stand by it. I love it a lot. It came out right after I had finished my sign language class last semester and I was So Happy to see them doing the sign for dance in their choreo. It makes me so happy.

Stray kids is hard, I really liked the no easy album, my favorite was mixtape: oh, but red lights was also fantastic. And then they dropped winter falls and Christmas Evel and well. I have many favorites this year, I liked all their songs this year.

Seventeen, I'll be honest I haven't listened to much but rock with you is one of the best songs I've ever listened to. I love it so much I can't recommend it more. It just itches my brain right.

Red velvet is another one I'm not even at the point of really trying to Stan yet, but bad boy, especially the English version, is great. It's not from this year, but I don't listen to them enough to have a recent from them

Oh my girl!!!! Y'know I thought dolphin or secret garden would be in my list, because I was sleeping on. All their other songs for so long, but dun dun dance is just. So good. I love it so much it just makes me happy even when I'm super sad, I love it a lot. Big recommend!!!

Dreamcatcher Dami grabbed me by the throat the first time I saw her and I only loved her more when I actually heard her voice (my first exposure to them was their lucky strike cover) and black and white is simply chefs kiss. Yeah Tokio in season 1 was ok, I don’t think I ever liked her, but she certainly didn’t bother me as much lol And yes! the love thing, writers in tv shows and movies are constantly making ever character fall in love and have a partner as if that’s the only thing that would make them interesting... The writers of lcdp sort of speeded the process up a bit lol I actually headcanon the Profe as ace :’) I did since the second he came on screen, and nobody can take that away from me, maybe that’s why I don’t like Raquel, tho I did at first! But I wanted her to stay the “enemy” type charater. I imagined she would be in charge of the investigation for the next heist too, and be sort of like a love-hate, flirty enemies with the Profe. But then they made her join him and to me, they fucked up. I guess it makes sense cause the show was suppose to end there, and season 3 and 4 (and now 5) weren’t on the table when they wrote that...

Oh I love Berlermo! :’D They’re such a powerful, complicated and sad couple, I love it so much! dfkghjdfg I do understand Sergio’s worry about them being together at the same heist, cause like, when the 3 of them were at the monastery, he could keep an eye on them, and make sure they weren’t doing anything too crazy. I think even with the plan, Sergio was the one that kind of brought them back to reality cause if Andrés and Martín were left to their own devices, they would have made such a crazy and non realistic plan, they would have died the second they went in lol. I mean, they are smart, very smart! But they’re also too emotional and get excited too easily, while the Profe is more of a perfectionist and wouldn’t leave anything to chance or to improvisation. Sergio’s plan might have been keeping them apart for the first heist at least, but it backfire a little when Berlín didn’t come out of it, and that sent Martín spiralling down and made him even more emotional and unstable, which wasn’t exactly the best for the second heist kdfjhgdfg

I do think, that if Berlín and Palermo had been together in both heist, first of all, neither of them would have died (at least in the first one, idk what’s gonna happen on this one, i think everyone’s dead but idk lol), and then, yeah, it would have been way more succesfull. Specially cause it would be more difficult for the rest of the gang (and the hostages) to stand up to two crazy bastards instead of just one lol

It makes me happy too! :’D I’m very excited for season 5 but I can feel how painful it’s gonna be lol My theory? Everyone dies. My hope? If they do die, I hope they die at the same time, in like an explosion or something, I can’t bear to think of any of them being aware that someone else is dead. I specially hope this for Palermo and Helsinki, both of them lost so much already, I couldn’t take it if one of them died first, and the other one had to deal with that loss as well, they better die at the same time in a fast and fairly painless way kdfjhgdfg

Speaking of my mom, its odd, last year she was talking about how Yule (Christmas) had to he canceled because she couldn't risk catching covid from having a bunch of people over. She usually throws what she calls, munchie parties, and everyone comes over and hangs out and eats and stuff. She said the magic was gone there. She doesn't see, she IS the magic. She's the first sign of spring, and purple flowers, and spring faries, and sunlight through the trees. She could make a train wreck look like a ballet. She has this wonderful talent of spinning shit into gold. She could make the worst situations good. We lived through a lot of rough shit, but she was always there trying to make it better and it amazes me cause I dont know where she got it from, her parents weren't affectionate at all. Her father was so abusive he was the cause of my grandmother's brain hemorrhage that killed her from bashing her head in all the time. My grandmother was kind but very proper so affection just wasn't really one of those things she gave easily. I'm sure she loved my mom, but in many ways, lacked the ability to show it. My mom was basically a doll. Dressed up, trained and made to act right and sent to boarding school. By 10 she had a mental break down from all the abuse, she said she used to run in the snow barefoot in NH with her mom in her nightgown cause her dad would get drunk and shoot a gun at them. And I grew up to watch my mom get beat too but she was smart enough to get out eventually. I've also landed myself in abusive relationships but also got out but it scares me for my daughters. Hopefully the cycle doesn't repeat itself. But through everything we lived through, she'd make cake with broken fingers and black eyes and act like she was ok the whole time, she never let it show that she hurt because she was always trying to be strong for us. She'd make dinner every night almost. I literally ate mc Donald's like 10 times my entire childhood cause mom made sure we ate real food. She taught me to read, to speak, to cook and clean, to stand up for myself, to fear no one. Her infamous words "pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keeo going" I really don't know how she did the things she did. She had me at 38. I'm 31 and if I had a kid now it would be very very hard, let alone at 38. Jesus. I couldn't have even blamed her if she didn't keep me. I dont think I could at that age. She's what kept all of us together. Without her, ill probably never speak to most of my siblings again but most of us, with the exception of one, our oldest brother, he's a sociopath and would microwave his own baby let alone ever loving his mother. I swear that man is not my moms child. Switched at birth of something. None of us are perfect but nobody else acts like the career con he is, but the rest of us all have a common love for my mom so we at least come together enough to be civil to make her happy. But without her, there is no common ground really. I never knew my father, he died when I was 12. Three months before I was able to find him. Thats my luck lol. So mom has been my mom and my dad. Besides my kids, she's all I really have for family. I feel like I will feel so alone without her. Sorry. Just a lot on my mind and nowhere to put it. My fiancee lost his mom a year ago so I don't even want to talk to him about it because I know it'll just remind him of his mom and make him sad too. I'd get therapy but there's nothing anyone can do or say to make it better, when the time comes, it's just gonna hurt and that's really all there is to it and I'm gonna have to let myself be sad for a while. Somehow, I know I'll go on, but right now I feel like I wouldn't be surprised at all if everything just dissolved and the sun stopped shining and nothing existed without her. I'll be amazed when the sun rises again because I don't know how anything could exist without her, she's always been here. At least in my existence. I don't know one without her but it scares the shit out of me. I'm 800 miles away and I don't even like not being able to see her often. 😪

Yamanbagiri Kunihiro! I liked him a lot from what little screen time he had in Katsugeki and then what I saw of him in Hanamaru (+ dat Maeno voice is A++) so I went with him C: He’s a proud member of Unit 1 (tho those members get rotated around so they’re around the same levels) and helps me beat up the enemy ^^

4. Who is the first among your swords to reach the maximum level? What do you think of him.

No one has reached the max level yet LOL Hotarumaru will probably be the first one? Since he always gets MVP x’D fajkfsjdf I love him so much?? He’s so smol and precious?? MY SON! I can always count on him to take out the enemy for me without taking much damage and he’s just the most adorable thing?? I love him

5. Who do you have in each of your squads, and how do you use them? If you haven’t unlocked all four teams yet, briefly describe how you plan to organize them.

Got all four unlocked and uh, I just put in swords around the same level so I can train them up. Unit 1 is usually my strongest swords/main team (Yamanbagiri, Ichigo, Hotarumaru, Izuminokami, Hasebe, and Namazuo), while the other units are whoever I’m training up and use them for expeditions sometimes.

6. Without considering the performance of the swords, which type of sword do you prefer?

Tantou Tachi! Idk when it started but I just really like swords?? I see a character in a game/anime with a sword -> “I like that guy, he’s cool!” And I guess the swords typically used are tachis?? I actually have wanted to buy a sword lol, every year at the night market there’s a stand selling prop swords (like for cosplay and stuff) and I always joke about buying one but $$$ feelsbadman 

7. List the swords that you like and your thoughts on them.

Yagen: My man, the bae, my everything. I love him the most （*’∀’人）♥ I love how caring he is towards his brothers and takes care of them when Ichigo isn’t there. It was so touching seeing him trying his best to summon Ichi-nii for his smol bros and I just jakfsjkf I cri every time. As serious as he can get sometimes, it’s also super cute seeing him playing with his brothers and messing around(?) sometimes, like in that beach episode

Ichigo: The husband because how can you not （〃・ω・〃）Putting aside the fact that he is beautiful and handsome and -swoon-  His laugh is precious?? I also love how caring he is and worries about his smol bros and takes care of them. Best onii-chan. He seems so gentle and kind. I find it super precious how it seems like he gets jealous over all the swords you have it’s k bby you’ll always be special to me  and -dreamy sigh- I love him?

Namazuo: I love his personality! φ(ﾟ ωﾟ//）♡ His cheerfulness and outgoing attitude is so precious and always makes me super happy in return. I love hearing his voice and I would want to be bffs with him. His quirk of throwing horse poop at people is so wtf but at the same time, it’s cute?? Even after kiwame, I still love him (tho I prefer his low ponytail than his high one o v o ). His tickle wars with the saniwa are really cute~ His genki attitude is like a breath of fresh air tbh and I love him. Please let me love you

Kashuu: I kinda wished I picked him as my starter because omfg, he is so precious and I want to smother him with my love, especially after watching Hanamaru. He has his own baggage and problems to deal with but instead of drowning in them, he still tries his best to help out Yamatonokami in Hanamaru, and fulfill the saniwa’s orders. He doesn’t let his insecurities get the better of him and I just jfkalsjdfkf ‘cause tbh I feel him? I’m scared of dying but I’m more scared of being abandoned and having no one?? So even if Kashuu is quick to latch onto a new master, I wouldn’t blame him at all and just give him all my love (((( ;°Д°)))) I want him to know he’s special and that I’d never abandon him ever

8. Are there any pairings that you like? If there is, please list them.

Nope~ I read a few Ichigo/Tsurumaru oneshots that were kinda cute but eh, I’m not really into shipping for TKRB.

9. Is your Citadel an employee-friendly Citadel or a black-hearted Citadel that works your swords to the bones?

I like to think it’s pretty employee-friendly ^^;; If they’re fatigued, I take them off the team and let them rest, or if most of the team is fatigued, then I let them chill. If they’re missing HP then I stick them in repairs (if I have a vacant room OTL) unless it’s just like, 1-2HP then I wait until after one more battle. Always quick to use help tokens though ‘cause I don’t want to wait 10hours LOL

10. Have you ever done anything weird to your swords?

15. What made you join the TKRB fandom in the beginning? How about now?

Hot guys LMAO K well, that’s what made me want to get into the game/fandom but all that stuff about needing a proxy/VPN looked too complicated for my dumb ass so I didn’t bother. But uh, I guess I first became aware of it because of cosplayers somehow?? Like I’d see super pretty pics of cosplayers and somehow knew it was from TKRB but that was it. Then the Hanamaru anime came out and I decided to watch it a few seasons afterwards, but there were too many characters and I kinda got bored? So I dropped it after three episodes =3= Then Katsugeki happened and my sis watched it first and spazzed to me how hot Izuminokami is (esp dat Ryohei Kimura voice) and I picked it up 6epis in? That’s it, I’m sold. I’m a goner. Then when the anime ended, I was super thirsty for more swordbois and spent like two hours fighting Flash trying to get the game to work, and here we are now C: I’m still in it for the hot guys LMAO c’mon now. 

16. What do you think of the current maps? Which map is good for training/grinding, which maps do you get lost in the most, which map do you want to burn?

Can I just fight all of World 7? Tho it’s probably my fault for my swords not being level90+ or something but e-e I’m getting destroyed so yeah, that just feelsbadman :

17. Are there any game systems or improvements that you hope DMM will implement?

Eh, probably but nothing comes to mind right now. Haven’t been playing this game for that long and everything seems fine to me~

LOVE LIVE or any other idol show (Tsukipro/UtaPri~) ‘cause the bois as idols is just (｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡ I’m going to scream and then die happily. Like, AWT48 was super adorable and the guys singing the EDs in Hanamaru was super cute too?? So why not take it a step further and just have them be idols : PP

Also, any sports anime will be great too! Obviously, I’m partial to Haikyuu rn xD We had a beach episode, sooo, beach volleyball could totally work!! 

But like, if it’s asking about stuff like that GBFxKatsugeki thing then uh, no answer because the only games I play are rhythm games LOL But, it would be cool if there was a FEH collab? o:

Not yet, but I probably will xD I want the other repair room and I definitely will need more space for swords. There are still a lot that I don’t have and with more new swords, I def need the space x3 better spending money on this than on gacha and disappointment lol

Namazuo and Honebami nendoroid please! I know Namazuo has a figure but I like nendos way more :I’m getting Ichigo for Christmas and I already have Yagen so, making progress 8D

Not yet? I want to write fanfics but I’m super lazy and dead rn so maybe at the end of the semester and I’m not drowning in matchups that I need to do LOL

22. What do you think you are like as a Saniwa?

Definitely not like how I appear in my own fantasies LOL I’m hate people bad with people and am super shy and socially awkward, so getting friendly with the swords will take 5ever and uh, yeah? I’ll just be super awkward around them lmao and not know how to react and probably appear like I don’t like them or something?? While I’m internally stressing about how to befriend them and driving myself up a wall lol... 

23. If the government asked you to choose a sword to kill yourself with in terms of emergency, who would you pick?

I don’t want to make any of them do something like this ((o(;△;)o))  I don’t know… ( ≧Д≦) My first thought was Sayo but like, he doesn’t need a burden like this?? Considering how he already is, >_

Resources are running low, smithing just results in an annoyed saniwa so take caution. The saniwa also gets angry when troops keep dying and needing to be replaced = RIP resources some more, so more caution is required. JK It’s a pretty chill place? Idk how to describe it, so I’ll prob make Hasebe do it for me : P Papers are annoying af to write omg

25. What do you think of the Retrograding Army?

I don’t understand the point of what they’re doing and how they’d benefit from changing history but given how shallow the plot is, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  It was cool seeing them in Katsugeki tho, especially the shit they did in uh, Edo? Like it seems they actually had a plan and stuff xD

26. Lastly, please say something about the TKRB from the bottom of your heart!

Idk what I’ll be doing with my life now if I hadn’t started this game and I’m completely obsessed. This might wane in the future probably, but in the meantime, I’m here to have a good time and enjoy everything TKRB has to offer and I’m loving it so far
