somewhere in the castle complex
well, didn't this just get interesting!
a man who was not just a man stands, shoes staining with the oozing blood which pools upon the floor they rest in. a waste, perhaps. the blood which seeps into stone rather than provides lifeforce yet what had been displaying upon the monitors before him proves much more attention-getting than the measly life of a man who truly believed himself worthy of his gift. perhaps he should have allowed him to become infected. no not with the perfection that was omega but perhaps the alpha strain. it'd have served the nuisance right for his actions. playing both sides. there had been a certain tactical advantage that the old vampire could appreciate. maybe there was some conscious there too. that, he appreciated less.
the doctor had played with fire and gotten burned. he'd aided the girl, both of them, if they were being transparent in this ever-growing situation while also attempting to solidify his own survival in the aftermath of how the players would shift the game. but the good doctor had failed to anticipate the vampire's understanding of the players. the insight that life force could grant him. he understood-- planned for-- the doctor's actions. he allowed them to transpire. a bit of fun to color the hours it would take for his plans to fully mature. moving parts took time to place after all. there was no stopping what had begun.
oh, the players believed they held some semblance of hope for such.
let them.
let them believe they held some form of control when their little lives were all in his hands.
the world was to die soon, and be reborn. a new world order, a new food chain would be unleashed. no more shadows. no more. and he would be at the top of it for when it was done even the eldest elders would bow to him. him and his beautiful virus laden army. the doctor had served a purpose in this. he set a game into motion. and now, now the vampire could sit back and watch as it played out. they would die too. the players on the board. most of them at least. not the girl. no. his plans for her were too great and he thought perhaps it would make his victory sweeter to see how her path played out.
let her have her hope.
let her run around this maze of corridors and think perhaps there was an end in sight. he would take her back when the time was right. he would watch hope fade and give birth to something dark within her. something new that the world had yet to see. something that would grant him power. something that would be part of his new world. and what a sight it'd be, to watch his creation form. to feel as it took hold of her with every passing hour, changing her. bringing her to him. how satisfying it would be to see the last of her fight and resistance leave her. maybe he'd let it play out until the final moments, the man who'd finally seemed to find her alive until then. maybe he'd make him her first victim.
a sacrifice to the new world.
to the goddess who would surely reward him. perhaps this hadn't been how it began when the girl's name passed to him. she had been a means to an end. but her fight. her spark. her ability to resistant when others would have been crushed with the weight of what was done to them, had shifted something in his mind. he wanted to defeat it and mold it and reshape it into his greatest creation. a creation that was his. that would bring forth what he wanted. what he needed for his new world. and no one would stop his new world now that all the pieces were in play. oh, he could sit back and have his fun. watch the tragedy unfold.
'will you watch it with me?'
he questions the bloody corpse at his feet, the man's death grip upon his pant leg shaken off with little fanfare. a few minutes later the body would be seated across the desk, dead gaze directed toward screens like a morbid audience to a game show. the feeds were not everywhere in the complex and the old stonework often caused interference to the signals but he did not need it to know where certain players were. it certainly was fun to watch when they did cross paths with the feeds though.
a phone rings, words emitting as he listens. good, good. he holds no doubt that the small group of bsaa transports that broke off from the main forces and were seen leaving the city and heading in their direction would hold the other players in this game. let the fun begin. let the games begin. they had time and he had his current players to toy with in the hours it'd take them to arrive. and it wasn't as if he didn't have a few presents in store for the thief's daughter and girl's brother.
meanwhile, elsewhere in the castle complex
warmth pulsing, radiating. she can feel it, sense it, know it. his hold is real. living. breathing as her blue-gray hues bore into his. her eyes burn with salty tears, breath labored, mind confused, warring as reality continues to crash into her. leon. leon was there. leon was real. leon was holding her arms. had she hurt him? she attacked him! fuck. he's okay. he tells her he's okay. that's what matters. he's real. this is real and he's okay. she takes a breath in, deeply, attempts to center herself. to regain some form of barings as his hand moves to her neck and rests there. is he searching for a pulse? does he think she's already? no. no. he's looking at her. he's seeing her. she knows it with every fiber of her being because she knows him even if she forgot for a bit. let herself believe what she'd wanted to instead of seeing the truth. 'and we're going to get out of here.' he speaks it with such conviction, his eyes still watching her as if she's all that exists in that moment. maybe she was, he was for her. now, right now, in this moment. a thread back to herself. back to reality.
stop crying. stop fucking crying. get it together. get it together. you need to get it fucking together.
'claire--' he speaks her name and finally, finally she's seeing him with semi-clear eyes that aren't halfway lost in her raging thoughts. she's her, claire, almost-- she's getting there. she's in a castle (she thinks). she's infected (she knows). leon was there. mara was somewhere. bad things were going to happen if they didn't stop them. leon was there. leon was there with her. they were together now, in this. there was an outbreak. there were vampires. they were together. she had to get him out of this. she wanted to get herself out of this too. but she understood that want and how things could play out were two different things. or, could be. she'd choose to believe together they could. but she'd accept if together wasn't the endgame in this. leon was there, with her, she could feel his warmth.
"leon." she repeats, once. clearly. mostly clearly. as if she's finally accepting the reality of the moment. she's claire. she's here. they both are. move forward.
the tears stop because she commands them too. takes another breath in and out to steady herself, gaze never leaving his. it questions, it wonders, it somehow figures that this was how the universe would play this out. it always circled back to them having to figure a way out of a shit situation didn't it? "what are you doing here?" she repeats, clearly, trying to figure out what him being there means. was chris there too? how long...
"did mara contact---" she begins, mind thinking. mara had said she'd try. she doesn't wait for an answer. it doesn't really matter. not in the moment, but something does. she needs to know for her own peace of mind. (except she doubts very much it'll actually grant her peace.) "how long as it been since my mission failed? since they took me?" because claire doesn't know. she tried to keep track until she couldn't anymore. it'd been too hard. "i tried.. at first. it seemed like i could tell the days. the gash i gave the one doctor had scabbed over. so time had passed. at least a few days. i killed one.. they got mad about that.. really mad. i think they killed another for letting it happen. i didn't see the other one again and they were worse after-- but then too much time was passing. i couldn't remember everything after they-- but there had to be some time between infections.. even with the vampiric acceleration it had to take time, right?" she's becoming lost in it again, half speaking to him, half speaking to herself. trying to sort fever dreams from reality. trying to find a path to center herself.
she takes another breath, looking down at his arm, to the small tear she managed in his shirt with her attack, then back to his face as if finally, finally everything is fully clicking for her. as if with a second's passage everything's hitting her, pieces coming together. she recoils slightly. or at least tries to. shifting her weight backward though she can't quite fully separate herself from his hold at the current angle. (she doesn't want to, but she thinks she should. she's scared to hurt him.) still, she pulls back enough to drop the hand on her neck, to show more of her appearance, but she doesn't shake off his hold to her other arm.
Tumblr media
"i'm infected, leon."
she makes this clear and in the dim light of the room if one really, really looked at her they could see. she's paler, the contrast making the dark veins spreading on her bare arms more visible. there's marks on her skin, injection sites on her arms where the dark veins also congregate in smaller jagged lines around them as if they refused to heal even with the vampiric blood she was forced to consume. there's other marks too, from where she'd fought people and restraints, the infections making it slow to heal but quick to begin to change other things. she's thinner than she's ever been, even with the strength she'd been able to display moments before when she'd attacked him. the virus weakening parts of her and strengthening other parts.
"i don't want to hurt you but i think it's going to make me want to. i think he's going to try to make me. i can't hurt you, i won't." she pauses, gaze and voice the embodiment of claire-- a claire with renewed clarity; the determination and conviction in her tone too. "i haven't, it's not fully taken hold yet. it takes time. it took longer the other times, they treated it at the end stages before it could fully take hold." the other times she'd been experimented on, hurt, used to further their tests. but he needs to know so he understands she knows herself, knows when it becomes too late. it might save him if it comes to it.
claire's more focused now. she's in the moment. she needs to share critical information because she doesn't know what awaits them but they can't go out there without him knowing what she knows.
"mara was working on a vaccine. they have one for all the strains but this one was the latest. i think they're planning something. to release it. the labs are downstairs, there might be more information there.. i got away, to here. i wasn't thinking about information. i--i wasn't myself, i wasn't clear like i am right now. i don't know if the vaccine for this one was ready. mara would know but i don't know where she is. if we can get it--" claire looks at leon, really looks at him. "--i'll fight this leon. i want to get out of this together. but if i can't and it comes to it. you need to save yourself. you can't keep sacrificing to protect me." she has to make this clear before anything else though she doesn't quite consider the admission her words also reveal. (it doesn't matter, it's not the time.)
Tumblr media
When that email had appeared in Leon's inbox on July 2, he had only needed a quick glance at the subject line to ascertain the identity of the sender: ' remember when you tried to give me a half a sweater because the desert was cold? ' It could only be from Claire Redfield, and of course he remembers. That had been one of those moments he recalls feeling almost thorough, unabashed happiness, so close to a tangible sensation that he might have sworn he could reach out and touch it. They had been running high on adrenaline, flush with the excited hope that a few missions to take down Umbrella might end the nightmare, and Leon had glanced over at Claire and thought, Maybe once this is all over for good — ! Never, even in his most dour moods back then, would he have imagined that in short order, he would ransom his freedom and future in exchange for Claire and Sherry Birkin's. Not in a million fucking years.
Regardless, none of that had been running through his mind as he hovered over the message with uncharacteristic hesitancy. The memory that instead flashed in Leon's mind like a caution flare was the two of them standing outside four months earlier, him in a suit that he hated and her with her arm in a sling, as his fingers curled around the data chip in his palm while she looked at him with an anger he had never before received the brunt of. The subject line had been compelling, though ( she had probably known it would be, crafting it as an olive branch of sorts ), and won out as he opened it. Typed lines of text awaited him that only exacerbated his confusion, yet they didn't sound mad. Apprehension had built at the mention of telling Leon something that he wouldn't like, but her assurance that she understood and the manner in which she closed out the message quelled it before it could begin to spiral.
He had spent far too long readying his reply for how short it ended up, although it was sent before the day had ended.
Subject: Re: remember when you tried to give me a half a sweater because the desert was cold? Pizza in Georgetown it is, then. Just name the day. Sincerely (why don't we put that bold claim about the bikes to the test when we see each other?), Leon
Before the end of the month, after he answered a call from Ingrid Hunnigan, he would wonder whether Claire even found the chance to read it.
Receiving a call from Hunnigan? Usual. A request from Hunnigan to meet in-person? Not usual. Leon might have teased her about it were her voice not laden with an extra degree of severity that curbs any notion of humor. Something is more than wrong. By the time he arrives, his nerves are clawing at him from the inside, though the only outward suggestion of it is an agitated edge to his walk as he passes through the halls and a subtle, intermittent clenching of his fists. Nevertheless, everything she briefs him on is far worse than he could have conjectured — because it's something he's never seen before, because it's Mara, because it's Claire. This new agent answers Leon's queries ( posited with an unintentional hint of aggression he can't temper ) quickly and concisely; the guy's likely accustomed to explaining this shit regardless of the scenario. As they start to leave, Hunnigan's voice calls out behind him: ' Be careful, Leon. ' It gives him a slight twinge in his chest to hear and, glancing back over his shoulder, he catches her gaze as he nods.
The whole way there, Claire's screams from the video Hunnigan showed him reverberate through Leon's mind.
By the time he and his companion are separated and he's made his way to the castle facility where it's suspected that Mara and Claire are being held, the only distraction from the echoing sound that he's garnered is complete focus on whatever's in front of him at precisely each moment, and his grip on the gun in his hands. With each corner he rounds, he repeats to himself that it's one closer to finding them until it's akin to a mantra: I'm one step closer, I'm one step closer, I'm one step closer. Nonetheless, every room Leon clears and searches yields no results, even those that appear set-up specifically for the purposes he assumes Claire has been kept for. Where is she? Advancing down the hall, he's met with a few more armed obstacles; most are eliminated quickly, and he sends a slighter one who keeps grabbing for his firearm crashing through a nearby rickety, wooden door with a forceful kick to the chest. "Opening the door for me, what a gentleman." The few stragglers follow him into what looks like nothing more than a storage room before they're each taken out by a bullet to the head that sends them staggering back into the piles of crates littered across the floor.
Surely they're not keeping Mara or Claire here, though a brief once over for any possible clues isn't a bad idea. Although Leon hates the notion of wasting time, he also couldn't live with himself if he missed anything in a reckless haste that might help. Perhaps there are some charts or notes kept in the old cabinet in the corner —
Without a second to move in that direction, a figure suddenly launches at him from the shadows. Are you fucking kidding me? However, at the flash of dark hair and a familiar face, his eyes widen. "Claire?" Even as Leon says it, fingernails dig against his skin and raised fists slam into him. "Claire, it's me!" Instinctively, he reaches out to grip her wrists, forcing her away from him though he doesn't let go. That's when their eyes finally meet, and recognition dawns across her features. When his name stutters past her lips, a profound relief washes over him; she's still herself, she's still Claire. Leon's grasp on her loosens then, yet he still doesn't drop it.
' Did I hurt you? ' At the question, a breath catches oddly in his throat. Not this time. Not like she had in March, when the way she had looked at him hurt like a blade scraping bone. Since they had met, Claire's gaze catching his had always imbued him with a sort of hope, a quiet happiness that he can't expound upon with words. He hadn't been her weapon or her savior, just Leon. She had made him feel normal and important at the same time, even when he had felt the least normal or important he had ever been. Claire had always seen him. At least, until it had seemed as if she didn't. That she had believed Leon would withhold information from her for any reason except to protect her, that she had told him the suit he was wearing wasn't him as if he actually liked it and everything it stood for — ? His silence certainly hadn't helped; perhaps he had hurt her, too. But he couldn't tell her the truth then, just as he isn't about to speak any of this aloud now.
"It's okay, I'm fine." But she's not. "And we're gonna get out of here." The tears in her eyes shove everything else to the wayside ( the fact that he should be asking her whether they've realized yet that she's gone and if they're looking for her since she's clearly not supposed to be in a supply room, or trying to call Hunnigan to report that he's found her ); Leon can't focus on anything but her. "Claire — " Dropping his left hand's hold on her arm, he presses his palm against the side of her neck, his fingers brushing beneath her hair. "I can't imagine what you've been going through." He'll do whatever he has to so that they never fucking touch her again. "But whatever happens, we'll fight through this. Together."

dungeon meshi | delicious in dungeon; reactions to reader having a crush on them / having a crush on reader
dungeon meshi various x gender neutral reader
note: hey everyone, please be mindful that this is the very first time writing for these characters, i have watched every available episode but i am still reading the manga (though i do have a general idea about the setting and the characters backstories and personalities) so if any characters are ooc to you my apologies, don't be harsh im new here lol. sorry some of them are shorter than others i kind of ran out of ideas when it came to certain characters :p let me know in the comments or reblogs or more preferably in my ask box if you want me to do any other character.
characters: laois, falin, chilchuck, marcille, senshi, namari, shuro, izutsumi (i'm adding her here because feels weird leaving her out when i've added former members of the party, also this is purely sfw so nothing weird will be aimed towards her.)
trigger warnings: nothing out of the ordinary but just read the manga or watch the anime before reading this.
if you like this and my other fanfics, please be considerate to reblog my work, it not only helps reach a broader audience but it also motivates me to make more content like this!
Tumblr media
laois touden
reader's crush: when laois finds out that you have a crush on him, his reaction is.. well, how do we put it this way? is he flattered? yes and no, he doesn't see himself as ugly but also doesn't look at himself as the most handsome guy in the world, but someone straight up having a crush on him is kind of new, he doesn't really care much for relationships at the very moment but has thought about settling down with someone he likes, will it be you?
laois' crush: when it comes to having a crush, he tries to be his normal self around you, but sometimes can't help but be a little nervous especially when the two of you are alone, sooner or later he comes to the conclusion of realizing the he indeed, likes you, but confessing is the hard part, he's never thought much about rejection, it is a normal part of life after all, but when it comes to you? it's an entirely different ball game.
falin touden
reader's crush: falin already has someone chasing after her; shuro, theres a 50/50 chance of her reaction to reader's crush being the same as shuro's, but could there be a different reaction this time?
falin's reaction: surprisingly less shy than her brother, when she comes to this conclusion she'll build up the right time to actually confess, not wanting to rush things, just watch out for shuro i guess.
chilchuck tims
reader's crush: chilchuck learning about reader's crush is a bit sad, though he's no stranger to romance as he not only had a wife but also three whole kids, he's not really good with emotions so he's kind of scared you'll leave him just like his wife did, so, if reader confesses, there's gonna be a high chance that you'll be rejected, just give it some time.
chilchuck's crush: this weird feeling in his chest whenever he see's you will confuse him at first.. there's no way he has a crush on you?? after his wife leaving him he didn't really have any interest in romance, he might as well just focus on his work at the moment, one of these days he'll bring up the courage to confess, just not right now.
marcille donato
reader's crush: she can't really decide on whether she'll return the feelings or not, definitely flattered is what i'll say.
marcille's crush: she's similar to falin, she'll build up a better relationship with you for the right time to confess, she tries to make it seem as if she's not into you but it's quite obvious to the other party members.
senshi of izganda
reader's crush: out of everyone, he'll definitely be the most flattered, someone having a crush on him wasn't something he put much thought into, not to mention romance kind of isn't his thing, nor does he think he have the time for a significant other.
senshi's crush: i don't think this is the very first time he's ever had feelings for someone, but it's definitely a special feeling, he's not nervous of confessing his feelings at all actually, and he's not that sensitive to rejection.
namari
reader's crush: namari wouldn't really know how to react, honestly, she's never given the idea of someone having a crush on her much thought, she won't care much about rejecting the reader, at least she's honest.
namari's crush: her crush will be a bit hard to spot but when it comes to you, there will be a notable soft spot, she treats you like everyone else and isn't afraid to scold you if you do something wrong.
shuro | toshiro nakamoto
reader's crush: in an au where he still has feelings for falin, he immediately rejects you, telling you boldly that his heart is for falin and falin alone, but lets go to an au where he either loses interest in her or doesn't like her at all; definitely flattered, someone liking him (back) isn't unheard of but it is... nice?
shuro's crush: just look at what he does with falin, he will propose to you at some point, of course when time goes by and he starts to fall for you harder and harder, until he just can't contain it anymore.
izutsumi
reader's crush: very, very strange, someone having a crush on her is.. almost unheard of, or she doesn't pay much attention, anywho, she doesn't know... how to react? she knows what to do if she doesn't return the feelings but... someone liking her is just weird lmao.
izutsumi's crush: she won't make it obvious.... or try to at least, she accepts affection from you much more than she does from the others and sticks by your side more.

a rose and her thorns | luke castellan
pairing: luke castellan x fem!daughter of aphrodite reader
summary: luke vies for a valentine. you're just trying to get through cabin inspections.
a/n: take this as my formal apology for the angst i’ve been throwing at you all with demeter girl lol and take this tooth rotting fluff. this was supposed to be shorter but i got carried away, after writing that 11k angst riddled monster this was a much needed palate cleanser lmao
wc: 3.3k
warning(s): no warnings this is all fluff <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You huffed as you knocked on the door again, chewing on the inside of your lip as you waited for a response. The Hermes cabin usually always had kids in it—either they were ignoring you, or they were just causing too much ruckus to even hear it in the first place.
Honestly, you should have known this was how cabin inspections with Luke would go. He was probably in there right now, ushering all of them through rapid last-minute tidying in the hopes of something higher than a one. You had half a mind to knock a point off right now by virtue of tardiness.
The hairs on the back of your neck stood up all of a sudden, and you whirled around.
“Speak of the devil,” you said wryly.
You were greeted with Luke Castellan himself, his hands up with a slight smile on his lips. “Easy. I didn’t think I looked that bad.”
Your brows creased ever so slightly, and he gestured with head. You looked down and realized you were holding your pen like a sword. You cleared your throat and let your arm drop, adjusting your shirt on the way down.
“Sorry. People tend not to sneak up on me.”
“I can’t imagine why.” Luke put his hands down and started towards his cabin, craning his head back at you. “What brings you here on this fine day, Rose?”
“Don’t tell me you forgot,” you pouted, holding up your clipboard and pen as you followed him. “We’re on inspection duty together. Where were you?”
He snapped and pointed at you. “That’s what we were doing together today! I knew we were spending time together—not like I could forget that—but,” his hand paused on the doorknob, “I kind of forgot about the cabin inspection part. Had to spend a little extra time with one of your siblings at the end of sword-fighting lessons.”
“Sounds like Liz is getting better, then.” A smug smile pulled at your lips as you stopped next to him. “And it sounds like someone’s gonna be cleaning the dishes tonight,” you said in a sing-song voice.
You placed your hand over his and opened the door, and Luke groaned. “Take mercy, Rose. Please.”
It was certainly a sight—more akin to a tornado than the inside of a cabin. Various kids—Hermes, unclaimed, and minor gods alike—ran around, shoving dirty clothes beneath beds, cramming duffles and suitcases into overflowing closets, with a few noble exceptions attempting the Sisyphean task of actually cleaning.
“Wow,” you said, glancing down at the papyrus scroll. “Can I give you a zero?”
“Listen,” Luke said from behind you, “our thing isn’t tidiness. It’s thievery—swiftness, cunning, panache.”
“I thought you were supposed to be jacks of all trades,” you mused as you checked off boxes. “Cleaning is a trade.”
“Not here.” You could feel him peering over your shoulder and he groaned yet again. “Come on! You’re grading us way too low. I get input too, remember?”
“Sure,” you remarked. You held out the clipboard and gestured with your head at the natural disaster in front of you. “But you can’t tell me this is anything better than a two.”
“A two’s better than a one.” Luke plucked the pen out of your hand and scrawled out a number two on the final line.
“Luke—” you started in protest, but he just snatched the clipboard as well with a wink as he started walking backwards towards the door.
“We’ve got a chance, guys!” he called out. “Hephaestus has gotta be worse than this!”
You huffed as you chased after him, shutting the door on your way, and you crossed your arms as you came to a stop in front of him. “This isn’t very cooperative of you.”
“Gotta give myself a chance,” Luke said, smiling as he took the Hermes sheet off the clipboard and stuffed it into his pocket.
“That’s just cheating,” you said, and he let you take the clipboard back from him. You started walking, and he fell into pace with you. “Hephaestus is next—we’ll see how much of a chance you have.”
“We should get some slack because we’ve got double the campers,” Luke said. “Nine’s got no excuse—they’re just a bunch of messy engineers.”
You tapped your pen against the board. “I’m not changing my mind, Castellan.”
“Ouch,” he winced. “I got last name’d.”
You merely smiled and shook your head. You could see his own smile in your peripherals, then he huffed.
“You’re distracting me from my whole plan with these ridiculous grades,” Luke sighed. “I haven’t ruined everything, have I?”
“You’ve got a plan?” you asked in amusement.
“Of course I do.” Luke took a few long strides to get in front of you then turned around so he was walking backwards, that stupid smirk still on his lips as he kept eye contact with you. “Valentine’s Day is coming up.”
“You’re very observant,” you said. “Watch your six.”
Luke moved a step towards you to avoid a younger camper with their head buried in a book, and you chuckled as he shrugged.
“It’s a work in progress,” he admitted.
You hummed, biting back your smile as you came up to the Hephaestus cabin. You were about to knock on the door, but once again, Luke caught your wrist.
“You’re not even gonna let me say my piece?” he asked.
“I’ll give you a little time to polish it up,” you said.
“You assume I don’t have it prepared already?”
“Oh, I’m sure you do.” You winked. “But I know the effect I have on you.”
Luke’s fingers loosened on your wrist and you allowed a small, self-satisfied smile as you pulled free and knocked on the door. It took a couple seconds, but eventually the door opened and their counselor—Alya, if you remembered correctly—greeted you with a smile.
“Just in time,” she said, smudging the bit of grease on her face as she wiped at her cheek. “We’re actually not horrible today.”
Luke grumbled beneath his breath as you walked in together—usually, the place was a mess of loose parts and hastily sketched out plans and smoke-scented clothes. Today, it was still a mess, but slightly less so.
“Damn it,” Luke muttered. “Still not as bad as us.”
“Stop comparing your place to everyone else,” you said. “This is supposed to be fun.”
“Cabin inspections are fun?” he asked wryly.
“Hanging out with me is fun,” you clarified. “I—”
You were cut off with a gasp of your own as you slipped, and before you could even fully process it you were falling. It wasn’t until everything steadied that you realized someone had caught you, strong arms cradled you around your waist. You looked up to see Luke’s wide eyes.
“You good?” he asked, his voice slightly higher than usual.
“Yeah,” you said, nodding far too many times, “yeah. Yeah, I’m good.”
“...Good,” he said, ever eloquent.
A small smile creeped in. “You can let me go now.”
It almost took him a moment to come back to Earth, because he blinked before he nodded, smiling on his own as he helped you back up. You could feel the heat in your face and tried your best to ignore it as you looked down. A small pool of oil was the culprit—you grimaced at the thought of having to clean that out of your jeans. Thank the gods for Luke.
“That’s gotta be points off,” Luke whispered in your ear, still close by, and you stifled a laugh. “Oil on the floor, making pretty counselors slip. Right?”
You ignored him too, looking over at Alya, though you couldn’t stop your smile. She looked mortified.
“I am so sorry,” she rushed. “I guess Michael didn’t clean as well as he said.”
“No problem,” you said. “I’ve got a little guardian angel. But this place isn’t too great.”
“Damn,” she mumbled. “I even got one of your sisters to come in and help clean things up. Do you not smell the perfume?”
“The smoke kinda overpowers it,” you said sympathetically, and she sighed. “Three out of five, Alya. But you’re right on the edge of a four.”
Alya glanced at Luke. “Better than Hermes?”
Luke grimaced. “I don’t wanna talk about it.”
She smiled and went off to talk to one of her siblings. Luke shook his head and tutted once she was gone. “The double standards here are ridiculous, Rose. I might have to report you to Chiron.”
“Oh, quiet.” You hit him in the side lightly with the clipboard and continued scanning the room for  a final check. “If you wanted help with cleaning up from an Aphrodite kid, all you had to do was ask.”
“And would you have accepted?” he asked.
“Of course,” you said as you scribbled down your last couple of notes. “I’ll always help you, Luke.”
He went silent as you continued to write, and when you finished you saw he was only looking at you.
You frowned. “What?”
“Nothing,” Luke said, still smiling. “Let’s keep going.”
You stared at him for a moment, but he didn’t say anything else. So you just laughed a bit and shrugged. Luke followed behind you as you walked out, and despite his claims of ‘nothing’ just a moment ago, soon enough he was talking again.
“So,” he said, “Valentine’s Day.”
“Valentine’s Day,” you said sagely. “What’s your plan?”
“Be my Valentine.”
“That’s your plan?” You glanced over at him. “Just asking me out straight-up?”
“Oh, sorry. I also have this.” Luke pulled something out of his back pocket and held it out. You couldn’t help but laugh.
“A rose?” you asked with a lopsided smile.
“Not just any rose,” he said as you took it. “A chocolate rose.”
“You are so cute.” You pulled the wrapper off, and though the stem and leaves were plastic, the flower was, indeed, very much chocolate, and in the shape of a rather pretty rose.
Luke shrugged. “Figured you needed something as sweet as you.”
“I’ve got a toothache just from being with you,” you remarked. You broke it in half with a bit of effort and offered it to Luke.
“You can’t just split the gifts I get for you with me.”
“They’re my gifts,” you said. “I can do whatever I want with them.”
“Really?” he asked.
“What’s a rose without her thorns?” you responded. Luke grinned as he took the other half from you. You popped yours into your mouth and your eyebrows rose.
“This is actually good chocolate,” you said as Luke ate his part. “Not like that crap we get at the camp store.”
“I might’ve snuck out to the city to get the good stuff,” Luke said offhandedly.
You looked at him incredulously. “What?”
“Did I stutter?”
“You risked all that trouble just to get some chocolate for me?” you marveled. “Hell from Chiron, extra chores for a month, literal monster attacks—”
Luke held up a hand, stopping your ranting. “Nothing happened. And even if it did,” he shrugged, “you’re worth it. So it doesn’t matter.”
You shook your head and Luke continued. “Besides, I got some other stuff too for the rest of my plan.”
“Right,” you nodded, “you never finished telling me.”
“How’s your schedule?”
“Busy,” you said. “I’m an Aphrodite kid during Valentine’s season.”
Luke tipped his shoulder. “Fair. Think you can block something out for me?”
“That depends what it is,” you said.
“It’s a secret,” he said.
You stared at him. “A secret?”
He nodded. “It might be a foreign concept to you Aphrodite kids, but—”
You cut him off with a light shove and he only chuckled in response. “So you talk yourself up and it ends up being a secret.”
“I think I’ve earned some secret surprises,” Luke said. “I’m already sweeping you off your feet.”
You shook your head, smiling inwardly as you tapped your pen against the clipboard. “Is that how you see it?”
“Well, I did keep you from an untimely death back there,” he said. “And the more unfortunate plight of having to get oil stains out.”
“You read my mind,” you mused.
“And isn’t that worth a date?” Luke asked. “Saving you from a fashion faux pas?”
“You’re worth a date all on your own,” you said as you came up to the next cabin—Apollo was bright as ever, gleaming golden in the sunlight—and you looked at him with a smile. “No rescuing required.”
-
Your journey to the rest of the cabins went by relatively quickly, especially the Apollo and Ares cabins—you think Luke had been temporarily stunned into silence by you actually flirting back.
You’d had a subdued smile on your face nearly the entire time, even as you felt warmth bloom over your face again. Luke really brought out the inner Aphrodite in you—you were sure your mother was proud, wherever she was watching. What seemed to get Luke out of his addled state was the 5/5 you gave to your own cabin—he complained that the scent of perfume gave him a headache, and when you said you’d been wearing perfume the entire day, he claimed that it was different.
(Cabin Ten kept their full score. It was amazing what a pretty smile could do, especially when Luke was the victim.)
Finally, you were at the Demeter cabin. Luke insisted on going there last, so that all the expectations would be tapered—he was still trying to get a better score for his cabin, but the odds were looking pretty slim. The door was already open, and you smiled at the newly grown flowers outside the cabin.
“Nice touch.”
Luke sighed. “Great. Going out with a bang.”
“It’ll be fine, Luke,” you said. “I’ll help you clean your cabin tonight.”
He frowned. “You were actually serious?”
“Of course I was.” You tipped your head. “It’ll just have to be pretty late. Y’know, because you’ll be cleaning all the dishes.”
“Low blow,” he said, shaking his head. You chuckled as you stopped in the doorway and poked your head in.
“Hey, Katie,” you called to the counselor. “How’re things?”
“Good,” she said, nodding. A smile of her own bloomed on her lips as her gaze moved over to Luke. “I see Rose and her thorns are on duty today.”
“Flattery won’t help you with your score,” Luke mused as he walked into the cabin. You smiled as he held out his hand for the clipboard, and you finally acquiesced. You could feel Katie’s eyes on you as he walked further in.
“He takes that as a compliment?”
“Thorns protect a rose,” you said, still watching Luke. He played the part of a foreman well, investigating their shelves and walls with vigor and even opening drawers. You couldn’t help but laugh a bit, and Luke looked back and smiled at you. You nodded, giving him the go-ahead, and he winked as he gave you a thumbs-up.
“And he protects you?” she asked.
You shrugged. “We protect each other.”
“
You would be cute together,” Katie admitted.
You managed to tear your eyes away from Luke, leaning back against the wall. “You think so?”
“He’s only been vying for your attention and flirting with you since the moment you got to camp,” she said wryly. “But you’re the expert on love—you tell me.”
You bit your lip as your gaze darted back to Luke, who was squatting on the floor having what looked to be a very serious conversation with a younger Demeter boy.
“I think I’m his valentine,” you said, almost absentmindedly. “And I think I’m really looking forward to whatever this date is.”
Katie came back into focus as you came back to Earth, and even she was smiling. “Then I think you’ve got your answer.”
Luke had picked the most opportune moment to come back, when you weren’t staring at him like an infatuated idiot—you were only one of those things—and he held out the clipboard and pen to you. “After having a very in-depth conversation with Damian about how things are going here, I scored them properly.”
You chuckled as you took it from him, but your eyebrows rose the more you read. “You’re kidding me.”
He shook his head. “There’s unpaid labor going on here—unpaid child labor. Damian said he’s responsible for half the cleaning and plants here.”
“We’re all children. All the labor we do is child labor,” you deadpanned. “And we’re sure as hell not getting paid.”
Luke held his hands up. “Don’t shoot the messenger. I’m just delivering what he’s said.”
“Don’t tell me he gave us all ones,” Katie said dryly.
“You know him so well,” you mused. You scribbled out half of what Luke wrote as you stood up from the wall, shielding it with your body so he couldn’t see while you walked out together. “See you, Katie!”
Her protests fell on Luke’s deaf ears as he held up the rear, shutting the door behind you two, and when you looked back at him he was grinning.
“Straight ones,” he tutted, shaking his head. “What a shame. Looks like they’re gonna be cleaning the dishes tonight.”
“You know they got a five, Luke,” you said, finally allowing him to see your revised marks. “If you’re gonna fudge the numbers, at least try and make them believable.”
“Oh, come on!” he exclaimed. “A five is way too nice—it’s not fair that they can just grow plants all over and make everything look presentable. Using powers should count as cheating.”
“Their floors are clean, their beds are made, and it smells like floral heaven,” you said. You tapped his chest with your pen. “You could learn something from them, Castellan.”
He caught your wrist before you could move it away. “The Aphrodite cabin always gets perfect scores. Think you could teach me a few things?”
You grinned as you pulled your hand out of his grip and continued walking, this time en route to the Big House to drop off the final inspections. “That depends.”
“On what?” Luke came back into your peripherals as he caught up to you.
“On how good this secret plan of yours is,” you mused.
His eyes lit up, past worries of low inspection scores seemingly fading away in an instant. “So it’s a go? You’re in?”
“Of course I am,” you said, tucking the clipboard under your arm. “You got me the good chocolate, Luke. How could I not see where this goes?”
Previously unnoticed pressure dissolved in his shoulders as he took your hands in his. You could only focus on his eyes, on the warmth of his skin, on the callouses borne from years of sword-fighting.
He was surely blessed by your mother.
“You’re not gonna regret it,” Luke vowed. “All those promises I’ve made about blowing you off your feet, about making your mother proud—they’re all gonna be true.”
“You know what wise men say,” you said wryly.
“That they’re so glad you’re finally giving me a chance?”
“Only fools rush in,” you provided. “Going all in on our first date seems a little hasty.”
“Isn’t your whole thing supposed to be rushing in?” he asked cloyingly. “Y’know, daughter of love and all.”
You shrugged. “Maybe I like taking the idea of taking it slow with you.”
“Then call me a fool,” Luke mused, letting go of one hand to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. His own curls hung over his eyes and you had the strongest urge to take his face in your hands. “Because you should know I can’t help it.”
You felt your cheeks heat as warmth spread all over, and you couldn’t even try to hide your smile. “You think you can take me out on one of those city trips of yours? Show me how to steal a camp van without getting in the most trouble?”
“I’m trying to steal your heart here,” Luke said with a goofy grin, “but I think a van’ll do.”
“Oh, don’t worry.” You took his hand back, intertwining your fingers together as you pulled him closer to you. “We can multitask.”

i would recognize you in a million lifetimes â†Ș gojo satoru x reader x geto suguru
Tumblr media
← previous | ˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗ | next →
summary: they say that a child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth. you would've been more inclined to believe it, if you weren't the only person who got burned. but now, suguru and satoru are offering you the salve and you're not sure whether it's enough to fix the scars that they left behind.
tw: sfw! angst with a happy ending, satoru is a cocky shit, suguru spends half the time on his knees in this (BUT NONSEXUALLY), more abandonment mentions because it's crucial to the plot, mentions of homophobia. lots of misunderstandings.
notes: divider by @/saradika-graphics. sorry, this chapter is a little shorter lol but surprise!! love how i said i was gonna take a break and then one day i suddenly realized kind of what i wanted to ensuing conversation to be. ending is a little open-ended; as of right now, i have no further plot points, but obviously that could change in the future (feel free to let me know where you want it to go/what you want me to write more about set in this universe!). thank you to everyone who loved and supported me when i first started this series; it was my first time really writing anything for a fandom, or publicly sharing it for that matter <33
Tumblr media
There always seems to be an innate misunderstanding that occurs when people encounter Geto Suguru and Gojo Satoru, in that Satoru is the one who calls the shots and Suguru merely follows. Though Satoru might have seemed like the arrogant one, and Suguru the mild-mannered, you are intimately aware that the depth of Suguru’s pride almost matches his patience. It’s why he always tends to win whatever petty squabble that starts, why he always obtains the results he hopes for. Suguru always wins, you’d complained once, and his cat-like eyes had crinkled in amusement as he watched you. Not always, had been his response, but you knew it to be a lie. You had watched as he left a trail of broken hearts in his wake, his past lovers drawn in by his honey-sweet words and careful, calloused hands. You were no exception. If Satoru is a work of art, then Suguru is the painter, and you the lonely observer watching from behind the museum glass. You wonder if the same pride prevented him from finding you years ago.
It makes it seem all the more laughable as you watch Suguru kneeling before you through the water that clings to your lashes. The man that had never given in on his knees for someone who gave it all. You are suddenly horribly aware of the air that passes through your lungs in shuddering gasps. Your skin suddenly feels too tight for your body as your heart pounds to the tune of the faint ticking of the clock. “Please,” Suguru whispers at last, as his thumb runs along the back of your hand. Satoru’s arms tighten around you as if committing you to his memory, before letting go. You can say nothing as you stare down at your fingers traitorously intertwined with Suguru’s.
“What if I don’t want to listen?”
Satoru inhales sharply, and Suguru pauses, before reluctantly releasing your hand.
“Do you mean it?”
“I wasn’t aware that you two cared about how I felt about your decisions,” you retort, watching how Suguru’s expression falls. It doesn’t feel quite as satisfying as you thought it would. You push the thought down.
“Baby–” Satoru starts, and the facade you’ve built up begins to crumble.
“Don’t call me that!” you snarl, pushing yourself from the floor. His eyes are pleading, but you steel yourself as you continue. “I’m not your lover. I’m not anyone special to you, considering how quick you were to replace me.” Your voice breaks. “Mocking me like this is low, even for you.”
Satoru stiffens. “You were special to me. You still are.” Your hands curl into fists as he continues, voice twisting into something more arrogant. “Though, I’m sure Kenji couldn’t live up to me.”
“Don’t.” Your tone is raw as you frantically try to reel in the anguish you’d been storing for the past five years. “Don’t you dare try to use my letters against me.”
Satoru has the decency to at least look ashamed. The look on his face is an echo of when he would frown all day if you didn’t give him what he wanted. Satoru is selfish, you know, all heat and arrogance and childishness. You know it’s partially your fault; you were the one that spoiled him off of your love in the first place.
Suguru calls your name softly, and you turn to face him. He’s still on his knees, gazing up at you with the devotion of a worshiper and the guilt of a sinner. “Tell me what I can do to make it right,” he murmurs. “Tell me what I can do and I’ll do anything you ask of me.”
“Why didn’t you take me with you?” Your words are fragile, even to your own ears. Please tell me it was because you didn’t have enough money. Please say that it’s because you were in a rush.
“That night was chaos,” Suguru admits. “Satoru was downright unconsolable, so it was up to me to purchase the tickets, to pack everything we wanted to take into two bags, to book the hotels and make appointments to find apartments.” He hesitates for a moment, and you can feel the piercing ice forming in your veins at the expression.
“But you had enough money to afford a third.”
“Yes and no. Realistically, we maybe could have, but, to subject you to the conditions we would have been in?”
Angrily, you swipe the tears away from your face. “You still should have asked.”
Suguru’s eyes are impossibly tender. “I know you, my beautiful, stubborn girl. I knew that if I gave you that plane ticket, you would have followed us no matter what you truly wanted. I was willing to make the sacrifice. How could I have asked you to do the same?”
“That wasn’t your decision to make!”
“Call me selfish, then. Call me controlling, or foolish, or stubborn, but I will never regret ensuring your safety. I will never regret the fact that you were not subjected to the struggles we faced there, the things we had to do to survive. Leaving you was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.”
“That’s bullshit and you know it.” You feel nauseous, stomach twisting violently into knots. The lies taste so sweet, but the truth is something that you accepted long ago. “Subjecting me to what? Your lifestyle? What struggles do you face when you have so much money that you don’t know what to do with it?”
Satoru begins to protest, but you hold out your hand, silencing him as you watch Suguru. The betrayal of him cut deeper than you’d care to admit. Satoru might be cocky, but it is Suguru’s hand that holds the trigger, his hand that sealed your fate. “I know you,” you tell him. “I know you, and I know when you lie. Lie to me one more time and I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that I never see you again.”
“There is no lie-”
“You don’t do that to the people you love!”
“I did it out of love, why can’t you see that?”
“No, shut up!” Your hands are shaking, teeth gritted as you try to stop the rush of angry tears that threaten to escape you. “You don’t get to act like I’m the person in the wrong here. You two, of all people, don’t get to treat me like this.” The sun is setting, harsh shadows casted onto Suguru’s hunched shoulders as if it is a load that is physically too much for him to bear. The words spilling from your mouth are sharp, desperate to make them bleed in the same way they’d hurt you. “You can’t tell me you love me, or that you missed me, when you left me here for five years. I was alone for five years, and for the first three, I thought something had happened to you two. Do you know how scared I was?”
Satoru reaches for you, but you shove his hands away. “I had to find out from a fucking television broadcast. I had to find out about Satoru’s debut through a television broadcast, and I had to hear your voice coming from the radio instead of through the phone. For three years, you let me fear the worst, and now you’re acting as if I’m crazy? You’re upset to find me bitter when you’ve treated me like a toy you can return to, and throw away when you’re bored? You made me this way!”
 Suguru closes his eyes. “I will never stop regretting how I’ve hurt you, my love. I knew how badly you wanted to get out of this town, to go to college and make your mark on the world. We didn’t know that
”
We didn’t know that you’d still be here.
“Maybe if you’d bothered to find me, you would’ve known.”
“Please don’t blame Suguru for it.” Satoru’s voice is tired, as he runs his hands down his face. “Suguru might have been the one who handled our move, but I was the coward in the end.”
Impressively, your heart manages to shatter into even smaller pieces. You can only gaze blankly at him as he continues. “I’m sure you’ve suspected it by now, but when we left, Suguru and I were dating. We still are. You know how it is where we’re from, where we are.” He curls in on himself imperceptibly, a star ready to implode. “I knew my parents were bad, but I didn’t know they were that bad. The thought of you looking at me, at Suguru, the same way they looked at us– I couldn’t.”
You can’t help the almost hysterical laughter that tears through you. “Are you serious? That was your reason?”
Satoru stares at you as you cover your face with a hand. You’re afraid that if you don’t keep going, you’ll start screaming instead. “Of course I knew,” you choke out, half-laughing and half-sobbing. “Suguru’s neck would be all marked up every time you two hung out without me, and Satoru suddenly stopped flirting with every girl that wanted to sleep with him. Just because everyone else was stupid and in denial, doesn’t mean that I was.”
“You never said anything.” Suguru gazes up at you, eyes horrified.
“I figured if you wanted me to know, you would just tell me.”
“You always looked so uncomfortable.”
“Because I was jealous!” Your words hang in the air, and in this moment, for better or for worse, you know that there is no going back. “I thought I was losing my mind. I was jealous of both of you for having the other, and I hated myself for it. What kind of sick friend was I, to be selfish enough to not only desire one of you, but both of you at the same time?” You shake your head, wishing that it could be enough to remove the feelings from your heart that you had been clinging onto for so long. “When you left, I missed you. I thought it would go away. I hoped it would go away. Who else would be stupid enough to love the people who abandoned them?”
The words pour from your mouth, acidic with your pain and despair. “Why wasn’t I good enough for you two? Why was it so easy for you to move on, while I was stuck here wasting away? Was it really that hard for me to be loved by you? I was there too!”
“Darling,” Suguru says, stumbling over the syllables of his words. “You loved us?”
You have to fight the visceral urge to slap him across his painfully beautiful face. “That’s what you took away from this?”
“I dreamed of this for so long,” Satoru tells you roughly, delicate fingers tilting up your chin. An interviewer had once said that Satoru’s eyes seemed so cold and distant. You feel like he was trying to burn you alive as he examines you. “I can’t believe this is real.”
“Are both of you out of your mind?” you snap, rearing back. Satoru’s resulting chuckle floods your face with heat as he gives you a lazy, predatory smile. “Only for you, sweetheart.”
“What Satoru is trying to say,” Suguru interjects, dazed, “is that we didn’t think you felt the same way.” Same way? You feel lightheaded, as if you’re not quite there. Same way?
He continues on as Satoru leans against the wall, content to watch your reactions. “I, we, just assumed that you
I don’t know. We
”
“How could I not?” you ask, voice breaking. “How could I not love both of you?”
Before you can even react, Satoru is surging towards you, arms pressing you closer into his body as he holds you tightly. “You mean it?” he asks, voice uncharacteristically desperate. Needy for you, as he greedily savors the feeling of you in his arms. You can only nod, one hand twisting into the back of his sweater as you bury yourself into the slight hollow where his collarbone meets his shoulder.
“Please,” Suguru breathes, taking your hand into his, rough fingers curling around the back of your hand as he strokes your palm with his thumb. “I know things aren’t going to be the same. We’re okay with that, we just
” He swallows, thickly, before pushing forward. “We just want to make things right, take things slow, and maybe then you can learn to love us again.”
Gently, you pull yourself away from Satoru’s grasp. “It’ll be hard,” you admit, tugging Suguru up off the floor and towards you. “But, we’ll make it through.” A slight smile tugs on your lips, the sincerity bleeding through into the softness of your eyes. “Besides, I don’t need to learn how to love you two again.”
“Especially because I never stopped.”
Later, you’ll realize the depth of the Gojo’s betrayal to their son. Later, there will be just as many kisses as there are tears, plans to be made, and boxes to be packed. But for now, all you can feel is the overwhelming warmth in your heart as you finally allow yourself to be hugged by two of the people you adored most in the world.
Welcome home. I love you.

Can you do things hyunjin does as your bf🙏
Cute things Hyunjin does as your bf
Tumblr media
Pairing: Hyunjin x reader
Tags: fluff, like that’s all there is
Warnings: none
Author’s note: sorry that my requests are being posted a little slower now but I’m currently trying to write multiple different requests, a multi chapter story, and complete a couple of art commissions so my creativity is stretched a little thin rn. But I’m gonna try to start getting them out faster in the future! Hope you enjoy!
✩₊˚.⋆☟⋆âș₊✧
If you’re shorter then him then expect lots of head pats and hair ruffles
Which are usually accompanied by him calling you cute
Likes to hug you from behind and rest his chin on your shoulder or head
If you’re also an artist like him (which I am) he’ll set you up a second little art station in the room with his so you can do it together
Ik y’all are probably expecting me to put sometime about liking you to sit on his lap while he paints or something but if he’s anything like me I absolutely hate when people watch me work lol it makes me nervous
Buys you matching couples rings
He loves play with your hair. Like he’ll just constantly be running his hands though it.
As he’s stated before he’s not a big spender and really thinks before he buys so when he does buy you gifts you better believe they are super meaningful and thought out
Just makes you feel way funnier than you are. Like he literally laughs at everything you say
Pulls his phone out to snap candid pictures of you any time he thinks you look exceptionally beautiful. Got a whole album atp. Most of them are of you laughing or smiling at something. He’s absolutely obsessed with your genuine, natural smile.
Loves to just lay on top of you and wrap his long limbs around you like an octopus while nuzzling his head into your shoulder. Like if he comes in tired from a long day and sees you laid on the couch he’ll just flop himself over top of you without a word.
He’ll do it playfully too. Like if you’re trying to leave he’ll just lay his whole body weight on you so you can’t get up. “Nope. You can’t go” He of course lets you go if you really want him to get off, but I mean who would want him to get off of them👀
As an artist who has been known to make portraits, he analyzes the details of someone’s features more than most meaning when he compliments you it’s not always just “you’re pretty” or “you look beautiful” instead it’s: “The speckle of colors in your eyes are gorgeous.” “The way your hair glows in the sun makes you look like an angel” etc.
Like he literally just lifts you and your confidence up so much whether it’s from compliments about your appearance or praising you on certain skills or things you do well. Low self esteem does not exist when you’re around hyunjin
Without really meaning to, he makes you the focal point of his art more and more. Even when it’s not directly an image of you he’s creating an abstract piece that represents what you make him feel. Love. He just paints what comes to mind and more often then not that’s you these days

"Hey unnie are you-"
Haerin opened your door for the tenth time this week, and just like the other times, you weren't in your room. The girl let out a frustrated groan.
Recently, you've been hanging out at Nmixx's dorms alot.
It started when you became close friends with Haewon (having been the same age) at a festival. Thanks to Haewon, you became close with Lily, and soon you had the 4 other members surrounding you with the same adoring eyes you always see on your members.
It was cute to be honest.
But wanna know who didn't find them cute?
Every single person at your house.
"WHY IS SHE NOT HOME AGAIN-"
"Okay, Hanni calm do-"
"CALM DOWN?! SHE'S CHEATING ON US!"
"What- NOBODY'S DATING EACHOTHER."
"IT'S STILL CHEATING!!"
The short girl was having a tantrum on the couch, with Minji barely stopping her from barging into Nmixx's dorm. However, since this is the 5th time this week you're at their house, Minji is currently considering barging in with Hanni.
"...Does she not like us anymore..."
Another slumped body rolled onto the couch.
"DANI NO-"
"Maybe I was too clingy.. Maybe we should let her go... Let her move onto better things.."
"WHY ARE YOU GUYS ALL ACTING LIKE A TEEN GOING THROUGH A BREAKUP!?"
"Yeah, Y/n deserves better..."
"DANIELLE!"
Minji pinched her temple when she heard another person throwing a tantrum in the kitchen. Hyein slammed the fridge door in frustration, causing the whole room to shake. She had a prominent pout on her face, sipping on the Caprisun in her hands (which you bought by the way).
She was grumbling something about Nmixx and how much 'I'm cuter than their maknae', causing Minji to let out an exasperated laugh.
"Everyone calm down!! Y/n told me she's gonna be home soon so-"
"I'm home right now, so..."
You stood at the hallway, watching the three members having a near-breakdown over your absence.
All four of them ran into your body, capturing you in a hug.
“UNNIE!! Why did you take so looong..”
Hyein - being taller than you - was practically carrying your whole body in her arms.
“I was gone for like 3 hours..”
“Way too long if you ask me.”
“But-”
“WAY too long.”
You let out a sigh, “Well, you guys better get used to it then, because I’m visiting them next we-”
“HUH?”
“Yeah, we’re having pizza-”
“PIZZA?! WITHOUT US?? HOW COULD YOU?!”
Minji let out a loud groan, hurriedly leaving you to deal with the children.

“How was your first impression of each other?”
The young man sitting on the sofa was smiling, clearly excited to be interviewing one of the most famous k-pop groups of 2023.
His question wasn’t something new, but it was the first time you guys have been asked it.
You picked up the microphone first, “Well, personally, I just thought all of them were really pretty so
”
The studio filled with laughter from your statement.
“Ah, well then, let’s ask our pretty girls. What did you guys think of Y/n the first time you saw her?”
Hyein was the first to be given the microphone.
“

..Scary.”
“What?!”
The other girls agreed, causing you to look at them in disbelief.
“I was not scary!”
“You were really scary! You were wearing a hat that covered your face and you had a really deep voice!!”
“I had a sore throat that day!”
“You always have a deep voice though?” Hanni teased.
You let out a frustrated groan. “I brought snacks that day! I thought I made a really good impression..” You pouted at Danielle causing the girl to squeal.
“You did in the end! It was just your first look that was really scary. Now you’re just a really big puppy in our eyes.”
The whole group hummed in agreement.
“Hey, wait! I’m not a puppy!”
“Yeah, exactly. You’re not just a puppy. You’re a really big puppy.” Haerin commented with the same expression she always made when teasing you.
Flustered, touched(?), and clearly not used to this kind of treatment by your ‘kiddos’, you let out an awkward cough, causing the interviewer to laugh.
“Haha, I can tell that they really adore you Y/n!”
You can’t contain a smile this time.

“UNNIE! Do you know where my leather jacket is?!”
It was currently 11:24. Haerin excitedly told you for weeks on end about appearing in Euchae’s Star Diary, and today was finally the day.
Apparently, it was a special episode, with Eunchae, Kyujin, and her going around like a small hangout. The crew apparently wanted a ‘natural vibe’, which meant the girls could choose what kind of outfits they want to wear.
Haerin kept you up all night to pick out an outfit, but apparently she needed her favorite leather jacket - with the star patches - to complete the look.
“Didn’t you leave it at the company last week?”
She let out a soft gasp, immediately followed by a prominent pout on her lips.
“Ah.. but I really wanted a leather jacket to go with this..” She tugged at the shirt she was wearing. After a few second of watching her sulk, you grabbed your own jacket and threw it over her shoulder.
“How about this one?”
Haerin let out a giggle, “Hmm.. I think this might be better than the star one..!”
“It’s settled then. Come on, our manager’s probably waiting for you downstairs.”
“Oh, can I really borrow it?”
“Of course. If you don’t plan on throwing it in the sea, you can wear it as much as you want.”
You watched as a tiny smile tugged at the corner of her lips.
“
.”
“Did you forget something, bub?”
Haerin stood at the entrance, hesitantly looking at you and her feet.
“
.s.”
“Hmm?”
“
.Thanks
 for helping me out
..I’ll see you later!!”
She burst through the front door, leaving you dumb founded. After a few second to process everything, you finally let out a loud laugh.
“Not a problem, kitty.”

#4
You were tired, that's for sure.
It's approximately 14 days and 3 hours away from your group's comeback. And you've been a mess for approximately 30 days.
Being the oldest meant alot of pressure onto you from the company. For a while, the pressure was always on Minji, but ever since you stumbled into her crying after being yelled at by the choreographer, you decided take charge a bit more.
Being screamed at was fine - it's you or the others, and you'll gladly be the victim if it meant the girls weren't. Being forced to attend meetings at midnight was fine - you're already high on caffeine. Fuck it - having a clip board thrown into your shoulder was fine and even being slapped by a random producer was fine.
At least in the moment it was.
Everything all came back to you in the dorms.
When the effects of the energy drink you chugged flushes out and when the ringing in your ears changes into the sounds of Hanni's favorite TV show, you finally feel the burning sensation on your right cheek.
That day was the first time your members saw you cry.
Hyein was barely awake, having been waiting for you to come home. She dragged her feet towards the front door when she heard you unlock it.
You simply stood there, tears streaming down your face.
The maknae took a few moments to shake off the sleep left in her body and immediately took you into her arms.
"Wha- it's okay, it's okay unnie. C'mon I'm here..."
You sobbed uncontrollably, clutching onto the younger's body like she would fade away if you let go even for a moment.
Hyein was confused (I mean she woke up like 5 minutes ago), but all she cared about was the fact her unnie - the strongest person she knew - was having a breakdown, barely a feet inside the house.
You think you passed out from exhaustion in her arms.
When you gained consciousness again, you were in your bed. Hyein was underneath you (most likely unable to leave because of your hands clutching onto her pajamas) and through bleary eyes, you could see Danielle cuddled up right next to the two of you.
With her hand tightly gripping onto the pajamas somebody changed you into.
"Oh, you're awake."
Minji was in the doorway with a tray of food and a plastic box.
You pushed yourself off of the maknae and sat on the ledge of the bed.
"Yeah, um.." Your voice cracked immediately, making Minji let out a chuckle.
"I brought you breakfast? If you want some, of course."
"I.. I'd love to. Thanks bub."
After a few moments of silence, Minji finally decided to start a conversation.
"So... How are you feeling?"
"Haha... I'm not sure actually." You let out a nervous laugh.
As you played with your food, you could sense Minji's eyes boring into you. What you couldn't sense was her grabbing your face, and wiping it down with a wet towel she brought.
"Agh- what are you doin-"
"What happened to your face?"
Silence, again.
"What about your shoulder? Why is it bruised like that?"
Ah, so she changed your clothes.
"...I don't want to talk about it."
You could see her eyebrows furrow. She clearly doesn't like your answer, but doesn't want to pry any farther. At least not right now.
Minji lets out a sigh, "Fine."
"I'm okay Minj-"
"We know you're not."
She starts adding ointment onto your her hand, rubbing it onto your burning face.
"And it's fine if you're not ready to tell us."
You stare into her eyes.
"But just... I just want you to know, we're always here... Always."

Hi!! i loved your tough love fanfic of clarisse! so i decided to ask if you can make a clarisse la rue , (aphrodite child) reader, but she’s not some normal teenager
 she’s a princess if you get what im saying??? lets say that aphrodite dated a princess and had a child with him before she left, and so that’s where reader grew up, no one knew that the reader was a princess u til she told clarisse, she was really worried clarisse was gonna hate her but clarisse is like “Woah me mad at you? no way” and clarisse supports her! (Including some kissing, flirting, it would be super nice if the reader was shorter the clarisse probably up to her chest like in the tough love fanfic!)
notes ; omgggg this is so cute!! i’m so glad u liked my last fic i was nervous about posting 😭. also i’ll be making clarisse call reader princess too now knowing SHE IS ONE! they’re already dating in this. i used the same banner bc i’m too lazy to create new ones based on plot LMAO. i wrote this so soon but sometimes if anyone requests it might take me a couple of days bc of school and stuff! think i went a little overboard with this one. i should probably start counting how much i write lol.
%% are you mad?
in which your super attractive girlfriend finds out the secret you’ve been hiding from her for so long. also, she accidentally meets your dad.
— clarisse la rue x f!aphrodite!reader
warnings ; reader has doubts, tall & buff clarisse / short reader (again), flirty!clarisse flirty!clarisse, a little angst?, kissing, two swear words, flustered reader (oh how the turned tables), ooc clarisse? (i’m never sure if i write her right), one suggestive thought in the first paragraph (nothing happened tho!). a little too much background i think
 too much father, did my daddy issues come out? made reader’s dad a king bc plot reasons, maybe more emotional than requested srry😭
Tumblr media
You couldn’t believe you were doing this. Sneaking off from your girlfriend’s warm bed in the middle of the night. For a minute, you wondered how’d that look to anyone watching. A girl hastily running from a cabin that she very obviously did not belong in, a long shirt —it was Clarisse’s— accompanied by small shorts, (which were not visible might you add). Oh and how could you forget, you were barefoot. Who’s bright idea was that? Oh, yeah, yours. Why?
Gods were you cold. Should’ve brought a jacket, you thought.
The bottom of your feet hurt, stepping on rocks and sticks and who knows what else would do that to you. Next time, you would definitely bring hiking boots or something. And a jacket. In the forest, you were far away from anybody that might disturb you. Pulling Clarisse’s shirt up until your shorts were visible, you dug your hand inside the pocket, meeting with a drachma. You approached the round well, splashing water mist being met with sunlight from below, creating a rainbow.
How? It was the middle of the night. Why was the sun inside? You decided not to think about it.
This well was old, dirty from not being used much. See, not many people knew about it. Apparently, it was for those that needed to talk to somebody reallyyyy privately, that’s why it was hidden in the forest, only appearing at night. You weren’t sure how that worked, but you stumbled upon it a couple of years back when you were being chased by wood nymphs for being out at night. They found you, obviously. Punishment was not escapable and you ended up having to clean the stables the day after you got your nails done. Yuck.
Now here you were again, this being the only place where you could speak to your father without anyone finding you. It’s not that you were embarrassed of him per say, it was that you really didn’t want anyone to know that you were a royal. I mean, how ironic was that? A daughter of Aphrodite, a Princess? Forget it. You’d get made fun of for the rest of your life. You especially didn’t want Clarisse to know. She was your girlfriend yes, and this was something very important that you needed to tell her about, but you weren’t sure how’d she react. You knew she wouldn’t make fun of you like others would, but you didn’t know if dating a literal Princess was too much of a deal breaker for her.
Being with a royal was too stressful, there was so much that they’d get criticized for and so little people that they’d be accepted by. Your dad was a King with many past lovers, Aphrodite included. The people loved her, I mean, who wouldn’t? But then she was gone, disappearing the same night she gave birth to you. Your dad knew of her, of this. He knew she’d be gone by the time the sun rose. Yet, he did nothing. Who was he, than just a mortal man? He could not stop a goddess from leaving.
He got with others after that, your dad had a lot of love to give. Maybe that was something that attracted your mother to him. Public lovers were not taken well, the people respected the King, sure, they just didn’t respect his partners. Constant judging, constant eyes following their every move, constant hatred being thrown, constant stress on their shoulders. In the end, they could never take it. Running away or completely disappearing seemed to be something they all had in common. Your father had to give up on love, small secret romances blossomed for a while, but never enough for it to go public.
That is why you were so scared to tell Clarisse of your status. She was smart, she’d realize being with you would not be worth the hassle. She’d leave you just like everyone else left your father. Clarisse was the love of your life, you don’t think you’d be able to handle it if she left.
You threw the drachma in, calling for the rainbow goddess to let you see your father.
“Dad,” you said, once the back of his head was visible.
He jumped, turning around. “Oh! My dearest daughter, you scared me.” He laughed a bit, looking at you with such soft eyes it almost made you cry. “Why are you Iris messaging me at this hour? Isn’t it time for you to be resting?”
You swallowed, a sudden knot appearing in your throat. “I just needed someone to talk to.” Playing with the ring around your finger that Clarisse gave you for your one year anniversary, you choked out. “I have this amazing girlfriend, she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me here at camp and—” You stopped talking, taking a small breath, not noticing the familiar figure of Clarisse standing a couple of feet behind you. “—and I’m scared to tell her that I’m not who she thinks I am. That I’m not this girl that just so happens to be a daughter of Aphrodite. I love her so much and I want to tell her about you. I want to bring her to you in person because I want the two people I love the most to meet. But how do I do that when I haven’t even told her I’m a Princess and that the only way you two could meet is if I took her to our royal palace?”
Your father widened his eyes, not expecting his little girl to burst out her feelings just like that. He sighed, glancing behind your shoulder. “If this girl you love so much really loves you like you do her, she wouldn’t care about your status.” Staring at who he assumed was your girlfriend behind you, he continued. “She wouldn’t care that you hid this from her. Instead, she’d try to see it from your point of view.” Moving his eyes away from Clarisse, he looked at you, eyes squinting in light mischief. “You should tell her, she’ll understand. I love you.” Is all he said, before he was gone.
You’re left staring at a rainbow, your dad nowhere in sight. Suddenly, a branch broke from behind you. Turning around quickly, heart beating rapidly, you’re met with the eyes of your girlfriend. You immediately let out a gasp, not knowing she was there.
Clarisse speaks up. “You’re a Princess?”
You felt your mouth dry up. With wide eyes, you respond. “Please don’t hate me! I didn’t know how to tell you!” Walking closer to her, you reached your hands out, grabbing one of her own with both of yours. “Please, you have to understand. I didn’t want this to ruin us.”
She stayed silent.
Silence was haunting, especially coming from Clarisse, someone who was always provoking people and boasting loudly everywhere. You gulped, with lips shaking you asked, “A-are you mad?”
She lets out a huff. Was something funny? Was she annoyed? Angry? Did she not care at all? Those were the questions running through your mind. You’d find out the answers soon enough.
“Woah,” she shook her head, letting you see the slight amused smile on her face. “Me? Mad at you? No fucking way.” She reached her free hand towards your face, moving away the strand of hair that fell slightly over your eye. “It just
 surprised me s’ all.”
You let out a breath, relaxing and putting your head against her chest. “Thank the gods, I thought you were going to break up with me or something.”
Reaching out again, she placed her forefinger below your chin, raising your head to meet her eyes. “How could I ever break up with someone so beautiful?” She leaned down, your lips grazing against each other’s. “Why would I leave when I can now be your knight in shining armor?” Closing the distance, your eyes fluttered shut. Butterflies were in your stomach just like the first time you two ever kissed. Without your lips separating, she put one arm around your waist, the other grabbing below your thighs, hoisting you up.
“Ah!” you screamed, separating your lips, not expecting it.
Clarisse smirked, seeing you get flustered. “You don’t have any shoes on.” You pouted, putting your arms around her neck so you wouldn’t fall while she walked back (not that she would let you fall off in the first place). “Didn’t think I’d notice, did you, princess?” Teasingly, she used the pet name, now knowing how much truth was behind it.
You whined, pressing your face against her neck. “You’re so unfair. I’m supposed to be the one flustering you.”
“Awe, the princess is mad,” she cooed, letting her lips touch the tip of your ear. “You want me to get on one knee and apologize?”
Clarisse laughed when you let out a loud groan, hitting her lightly on the chest. Smiling, she knew the only way she’d ever leave you was if she was six feet under. And even then, she’d find a way to get back to the land of the living just to be by your side.
The only things heard in the dead of night were the grasshoppers, chirping their little melodies into the darkness. That was until you muttered sleepily, letting out a yawn. “I love you.”
Clarisse repeated after you. “I love you.” Feeling your eyes fluttered close, she followed it with an almost silent “goodnight.”
Now that you were asleep, she felt panic slowly rise, steps quickening to reach the Ares cabin faster. She could only think about two things now.
Holy shit, she’s a Princess. Oh my gods, I met her dad.

And here the UF Sans version of the thing I just wrote like two hours ago LOL. I was finally struck with inspiration after a looooong time. I love writing one-shots.
Anyways. Here’s UF Sans helping Reader get out of a bad situation by
 Well, by being himself.
—
OK, that car was definitely following you.
At first, you had tried to tell yourself that you were being paranoid. You could be paranoid a lot of the time. But it had been a while and the car was still going at an unusually slow pace.
You’d known it would be a bad idea to go walking so close to sundown. It was dark now, and there was no one along the sidewalk anymore. But no, you hadn’t wanted to miss your exercise. Idiot. And you couldn’t even go to your car, because your car was in the shop. You had taken a rideshare here.
There was a small restaurant just up ahead, though. A local burger place.
Knowing this was probably a bad idea, you began booking it down the sidewalk. The car, of course, sped up, but to your surprise it didn’t speed up next to you so that someone could grab you and yank you inside. You thought just being close to the restaurant would be your saving grace, but when you started to run through the lot, you realized that it was almost entirely empty. There were only five or so cars. And no one outside.
Please tell me they’re not closed.
You ran up to the front door and grabbed the handle, but when you pulled, it was locked. Only then did you see the big sign in the door that said they’d had to close early today. There was a leak or something. You peeked through the windows, but saw no one. You ran to the side of the building and saw another door, but it was for employees only, and there was no window outside. You decided to try it to make sure, but it was also locked.
Oh my God, I’m going to die. Or worse.
You heard the sound of the front door opening and started. You turned the corner, half expecting to bump into the driver of the car, but the stranger stepping outside didn’t even seem to notice you were there. And ohhhh my gosh.
Yes, they were a monster, but that wasn’t the part that made you hesitate to approach them, even as the vehicle you were running from pulled up in front of the restaurant. The part that made you hesitate was
 well, everything else.
The skeleton making his way out of the building was of a shorter stature, sure. But he did not look particularly friendly. Like a lot of other monsters, he was dressed entirely in red and black, and he had extremely sharp teeth, which at the moment were preoccupied biting down on some fries he had carried out of the store with him. From the way the light of the street lamps glinted off one of those teeth, you could tell it was probably made of gold. His large eye sockets had little pinpricks of red light in them. This guy had clearly been in no shortage of trouble. Maybe approaching him for help would just get you into an even more dangerous situation?
Screw it, I’m gonna die either way, right?
You ran for the skeleton and, without thinking, grabbed the hood of his jacket. He seemed surprised, and then turned to look at you with a scowl.
“The fuck’re you—“
“Hi sweetie,” you said in a happy tone, which startled him into silence. “I didn’t know you were here.”
He looked baffled.
In a whisper, you explained your half-baked plan: “There’s a car following me. Please, please pretend to be my boyfriend.” You figured boyfriend might freak out the driver more than a friend.
He glanced at the car, then nodded.
Thank you.
He then surprised you by wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you closer. Your face grew warm.
“Sorry babe,” he said, giving you a lazy smile. “Shoulda invited you.”
Now that you’d heard him say a full sentence, you realized he had a Brooklyn accent. “No, it’s OK. I don’t have to be around for everything you do.”
“Yeah?”
He wrapped his other arm around you and pulled you up against him. Shorter stature didn’t mean he was shorter than you— he was about your height. Hey.
“Well.”
He winked.
“I missed you,” he said quietly.
Uhhh. A part of you was thinking you’d made a huge mistake.
The other part of you was thinking you’d made the best decision of your life.
“Let’s get in my car, yeah?” Another wink. The winks were surprisingly charming. “We can drive somewhere nice and lonely.”
One of his hands moved to the small of your back.
“Get tah know each other better,” he said in a low voice.
OK, now you were trying to figure out if this was part of the act or if he was actually proposing the two of you have sex. Like an idiot, all you said was, “Uh.”
“That a yes?”
Nevermind, you now knew the question was serious. Trying to keep up the act, you said, “H
 honey, you know I have work tomorrow.”
“Alright, babe.”
Phew.
“Where’s your car? I c’n walk you there.”
Oh.
“Um,” you said quietly, “I didn’t come here in a car.”
One of his eyebrows quirked up and he grinned wider. Those teeth really looked sharp.
“Oh?” he said.
You realized your face was on fire. “I
 I can just call a rideshare.”
“But I’m your boyfriend,” he teased, waggling his eyebrows. You tried to glare at him, but the grin had become less predatory and more playful, and his tone of voice was kind of silly.
It was kind of cute.
You peered over his shoulder and saw that the car that had followed you was no longer there.
“The car’s gone,” you informed him.
“Yeah, I know. It’s been gone.”
What? Your face got hot and you glared. “Then why are you still holding me?”
“Cuz you’re cute.”
Your face got hotter, much to your chagrin. He tilted his head.
“What’s yer name, beautiful?”
One of his fingers trailed along your back as he asked. You wanted to pull away
 kind of. You could feel yourself getting comfortable in your current position.
“What makes you think I’ll tell you?” you asked.
Another silly grin. “What, you’re not gonna tell yer boyfriend yer name?”
“Ahaha,” you said, trying to sound as sarcastic as possible. “Hilarious.”
A low chuckle. The baritone of his voice was
 yeah, it was kind of attractive.
Trying to sound as reluctant as possible, you told him your name.
“Yeah?” he said. “Cute name.”
Your face got hot again. Ugh.
“Name’s Sans.”
You raised your eyebrows at him. “Who said I cared?”
His grin became devious again. “Yer face,” he said. “It’s real red, baby.
That just made it worse. “Well, maybe if you’d quit flirting with me it wouldn’t be.”
“Do you want me to quit?”
You glared, but you were less mad at him than you were at yourself. Because unfortunately
 no, you did not want him to quit.
“C’mon baby,” he said. “Lemme take you home.”
“You mean my home, right?”
“Yeah.” A wink. “Unless you wanna stay at my place for the night. I’d like that.”
You were pretty sure this was all behavior that warranted a big slap across his cheek, but for some reason you found yourself really enjoying it. Seriously? This idiot?
“You can drive me home,” you said quietly.
“You sure?”

 Aw. That was actually kind of sweet. “Yeah.”
“Kay. Just making sure.”
What have I gotten myself into? was all you could think as he led you to his car. Now that he had let go of you, you realized he was still holding the box of French fries.
“You held onto those this whole time?” you said.
“What, you think I was gonna waste good fries? That’d just be stupid.”
He held one out to you.
“Want one?”
You just looked at him.
Then you snickered and took it.
At least as stupid as he was, he didn’t speed while driving or anything. In fact, your conversation wasn’t bad at all. He told you a little bit about himself, you told him a little bit about yourself. He made bad jokes. Apparently he was a fan of those. Despite his demeanor earlier, you realized throughout your interaction that he was really just a huge goofball.
It was a nice surprise.
When you got home (you really hoped letting him drive you home wasn’t a mistake), he grinned at you.
“Watch this,” he said.
And he disappeared from the driver’s seat. Just disappeared. You blinked, confused. There was a knocking on the window behind you, and you turned only to jump and let out a small yelp when you saw him standing right outside. He laughed a little as he opened the door.
“How the hell did you do that?” you asked.
“A magician never reveals his secrets,” he said with another wink. “B’sides, that wasn’t the weird part. The weird part is me being a gentleman an’ holdin’ the door open.”
You smiled as you got out. “You’re a dork.”
“Rude. I’m a bad boy.”
“Psh. You wish.”
He closed the door.
“Hey baby, ‘fore you go
 can I kiss ya?”
No.
“OK,” was what came out of your mouth. It was accompanied by a small smile and everything.
You idiot.
His eyelights got really big in what was, quite frankly, an absolutely adorable expression. “Really?”
“Yeah, really.”
“Wow, lucky me.”
“Did you think I was gonna say no?”
A shrug. “Pretty much.”
Huh? “Then why did you ask?”
“Cuz I’m stupid,” he said proudly.
“You are stupid.”
“Guess you like stupid, then.”
Oh. He was probably right. Aw, man. You rolled your eyes.
“Now.”
Sans surprised you by getting ahold of your hips. His eyes had lidded.
“‘Bout that kiss.”
OK. It’s just a kiss. One, small kiss. That’s all he gets.
To your surprise, that was what he gave you. Sort of. His teeth pressed against your lips and you kissed back. It probably lasted a few moments longer than it should have, but he was the one who pulled away first.
“Was it that bad?” you joked.
“Nah, it was great. I just ain’t gonna try my luck too hard.”
A mischievous grin.
“Unless that wasn’t enough for you, sweetheart.”
Nope. You had the feeling if you started making out with him, you’d wind up in the backseat of his car. Seriously. This guy.
“Geez,” you said, “take me out to dinner first.”
“Well, I was gonna ask, but I guess the answer is yes.”
Wait, what. Your face got hotter than it already was. “Huh?”
“I wanna ask you on a date. Ya ever been to that burger joint before?”
You shook your head.
“Boy, you are missin’ out. Lemme take ya.” A wink. “Please.”
No. You are not going on a date with him. Your standards are not that low and OK who are you kidding you’re definitely going on a date with him.
He must have noticed you hadn’t said anything. “You worried?” A grin. “Don’t worry, babe. I’ll treat you right.”
“OK, OK, I get it, you’re smooth.”
His eyelights got big again. “Your words, dollface, not mine.”
“Whatever.”
He dug his phone out of his pocket.
“Number?” he asked, in a very adorable tone of voice.
You sighed, like it was a great inconvenience. “Fine.”
“Score,” he said as he handed his phone over. That made you blush. You hated it.
You put in your number and handed his phone back. “OK, dummy. There you go.”
He looked excited, like a kid who’d been handed candy. Crap, he’s cute.
“I’ll message you when I get home, yeah?”
“You’d better not be a weirdo when you message people,” you said.
“Excuse you, I am a very respectful, well-behaved boy.”
“Yeah right.”
He snickered.
“Alright,” he said, “I’ll be outta your hair now.”
“Good riddance,” you said, trying to hold back a smile.
“Mean.”
He surprised you with a kiss on the cheek.
“I miss ya already, sweetheart.”
You looked away, your face flushing.
“OK, that’s too cute. I gotta get outta here or I’ll just stay forever.”
You smiled.
He closed his car door and then disappeared. When you leaned down to look through the window, he was back in the driver’s seat. You gave him one last smile and wave, and he returned it with a very sincere expression. Then you stepped back, and he drove off.
Wow. You had the worst taste.

Chapter 4 𓆩♥đ“†Ș
They say all's well that ends well
But I'm in a new hell every time you double-cross my mind
You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would've been fine
And that made me want to die
The idea you had of me, who was she?
A never-needy, ever-lovely jewel whose shine reflects on you
All Too Well - 10 minutes Version (Taylor Swift)
𓆩♥đ“†Ș
It had been 1 year since the last time you saw Jacob Sully. Or Jakey, like you used to call him. The wound never healed. It still throbbed and bled every time you remembered the words he told you that dreadful day. "I think we should stop seeing each other." It felt like you would never get over him. How can one get over such an overpowering, raw feeling? He marked you forever, like a bruise that seemed to never disappear from your skin.
The flashback came like thunder in a storm, haunting your thoughts with a loud pain that echoed through your mind. What you told Jake that night.
“The truth is I love you. The truth is I can't take this anymore. I'm giving you my everything but you don't seem to be doing the same. You're still guarded.” There was a tense period of silence “Jake
 I love you. But I don't think you feel the same.”
Maybe you shouldn't have said anything. Maybe if you had kept your mouth shut, he would still be with you.
Ugh!! Stop that, now, (y/n)! Some self love, please? You're better than this. You deserve better.
You tried to convince yourself of that, at least.
The pain was unbearable at times and almost easy to conceal at other times. It depended on how distracted with work or your studies you were. These days you ran to any distraction that could ease the perpetual angst that squeezed your heart inside its hands all the fucking time. It had been like that ever since Jake left you. What were you expecting anyway? You should have known you were never truly loved by Jake. The love of his life was Neytiri and it would always be, alive and walking through Pandora or dead and with Eywa.
It felt beyond weird to have to hear people talking about Jake and have to pretend he was a stranger to you, someone you barely knew, when he had actually left a mark so strong on you, a memory ingrained in your brain, a feeling, a pain buried inside your heart that made you want to scream and hit your head against a wall. That's how much it hurt.
You would never have his body against yours again, warming you up when it was cold, after you spent the whole day in that damn lab, studying Pandoran plants but all you could really concentrate on was how much you missed his reassuring, protective presence. He made you feel safe for the first time in your life. But now he is gone. Just like every single good thing you ever had in your life. But you know what? Maybe your mother was right, maybe love wasn't really something that could ever last forever.
Did Jake ever really make a real effort to be with you? Thinking back, it was extremely easy for him to just come to you and fuck you anytime he felt sad and lonely. What if you had just been a naive, dumb girl all this time? Were you mourning a love that never actually existed? It was always so hard to talk to him about his feelings for you, he never actually let you in, to be honest. All the time you two spent together, you were never able to know if he ever saw you as a partner or just a fuck buddy.
Oh, but the high
 it was worth all the lows. The butterflies in your stomach every time you guys were almost caught fucking in the back of your work room by Norm. Eventually you guys had to tell him about your situationship because, oh well
 he already knew what was going on, really. Norm is not a fool or a child. He could add 2 plus 2.
The adrenaline was worth all the tears. And, fuck
 you would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

THANK YOU ALL TO THE SUPER NICE AND SUPPORTIVE MESSAGES I GOT AFTER FINISHING MY FIC💖💖💖đŸ„čđŸ„čđŸ„čthere were too many to respond to separately and i didnt wanna feel like i was repeating myself, so i just wanna say thank you all at once, it really means so much to me that you all read along and enjoyed it so much and what it meant to u all personallyđŸ„č second pic is how i feel....ur all my proud parents congratulating me after i just finished building something cool and im showing it off to you LMFAOO
Tumblr media
FUN FACT men actually didnt wear engagement/wedding rings back in the 1890s! it was only in the beginning of the 1900s that they started wearing them (due to the first world war) bc they wanted to have something to bring with them to remember their wives. SO YEAH thats why!! i guess wizard society could be different, but i just went with real world lore on that front BAHA
Tumblr media
@psyducktastic BAHAH THANK YOUU!! tbh i was originally planning on making the wedding even shorter/glossing over it even more, and didnt really MAKE a decision on whos POV it was gonna be in...it just happened as i started writing LOL. i guess i wrote it from sebs POV bc less emotions there to focus on, unlike CLORAS pov, which like you said, would be running a mile a minute and filled with all these thoughts, and subsequently make me unable to gloss over the scene like i wanted to LOL. plus, the whole anticipation of a wedding is in finally seeing the bride, so even tho it wasnt even intended, i kinda like that the reader will be in the same position as seb/the audiences POV as they wait for the bride to enter. and yes clora defs had a lot of bittersweet feelings, i think i have her mention it internally in that conversation with anne, that its still an adjustment and that even tho shes ofc happy with seb, its still kinda lonely/will take some getting used to. but i didnt wanna bring down the mood in the last chapter by focusing too much on those bittersweet feelings, so i just focused on the sweet instead đŸ„č💖and also i cant even imagine what clive and clora were doing outside the door before they entered...i imagine clive was secretly choked up and clora was nervous, which resulted in the two of them just being completely silent BAHAHA. maybe some subtle squeezes of reassurance and comfort back and forth BUT THANK YOU AGAIN💖💖💖AND IM HAPPY YOU LIKED HOW I ENDED ITđŸ„č💖💖💖

hiii my sweet toe bunnyđŸ˜đŸ˜šđŸ€Ž i have an upcoming gigahuge exam bc it will determine whether i have to go to school for another whole damn year or not so im getting the stress hornies big time!! your requests seem to be open for some reason?! good writers like you are usually busy with a flood of them so i can never request anything😭 but anyways i was gonna throw you this little peanut, a classic really: size kink with lev! dont even know if you write for him lol, couldnt see it on ur profileđŸ„Č i think he’d have the size kink more than any of us ever could, i just feel like he goes crazy especially if its a much shorter person. bc having a size difference from far away is one thing, but being right next to the person and interacting with them and putting your hand on their back and realizing you’re nearly twice their size
 is another.
feel free to ignore this pookie butt im soo sorry if this is too specific or something â˜čâ˜č writing is hard and getting inspired by someone elses idea is even harder, so yeah. stay hydrated and keep emitting gamma rays☃

you've seen haiba lev before, in magazines and on billboards. sometimes even on television, promoting luxury perfumes in advertisements or modelling designer clothes on the runway.
you knew he was tall — most models are — but it was only when you saw him in person that you realised how truly big he is, how he towers over everyone else on set.
you work as an intern for a famous fashion brand, and you met haiba during a photoshoot he was doing for their new office wear campaign. your job was mostly fetching food or drinks for the models; making sure they were comfortable at all times.
the first interaction you ever had with him was when you were handing out water bottles to the models as they walked onto set, and as soon as you saw his huge frame saunter in, you almost froze from shock. he flashes you a polite smile and mouthed a quick "thank you" as he followed the director to where ever she was leading him.
and though it was brief, that was enough to have you fixated on him for the rest of the photoshoot. you were attentive to your duties but still so mesmerised by him. his lean figure and silvery hair. you had always known lev haiba was exceptionally attractive — he's a model, for fucks' sake — but something about seeing him in person made you feral.
and little did you know, after he first saw you, lev kept an eye out for you too. admiring from afar how hard you worked, and making sure to flex just a little bit more for the photos whenever you were nearby. he just thought you were so cute.
you assumed this whole situation would end as a little temporary work crush. you can fangirl over him for now and blush whenever he smirks at you from across the room, but once this shoot was over, he would never think of you again, while you'd go back to seeing his face plastered nearly everywhere and fantasize about what could've been.
but that wasn't lev's idea. he was used to pursing what he wants.
when the shoot is nearing completion for the day, lev has a long conversation with the photographer and is one of the last models to leave the set.
you were tasked with helping the models remove the designer's clothes, if they needed it. thankfully the majority of them didn't and by the time lev entered the changing room, all the others were leaving to go home, and you were wishing them a safe journey.
"excuse me, ms?" you hear a voice call from the changing room, followed by lev stepping out from behind curtain. he was previously wearing a full suit, but you can see he's shedded the black blazer and was now in only the fitted white shirt, black trousers and dress shoes.
he was looking down and fiddling with the buttons on his shirt, "could you help with this, please?" he asks with an awkward chuckle.
lips slightly parted at his unexpected inquiry, once the initial shock fades, you hastily nod and guide him back into the changing room, and this time you enter with him.
it's a confined area but still somewhat big. there's enough space for the two of you to stand, a stool, a clothes rack and full length mirror. he stands before you while you work on unbuttoning his shirt, starting from the top.
"sorry for asking you do this. the buttons are just too small for me." he holds his hands up as a size comparison, and they're undoubtly big.
"it's okay," you stutter, not daring to break your intense stare with his buttons because you know if you were to look up at his face, you might die. "i know these can be very fiddly sometimes."
"exactly." he nods in agreement.
it takes you quite a while to even reach his mid-torso because your hands are shaking so much from being in such close proximity to a celebrity you admire so much. and not only that, but you're literally taking his clothes off. and lev takes notice of his and comments, "nervous?"
your eyes widen and you freeze, heart jumping to your throat. eventually, you're able to squeak, "kinda."
"why?" he laughs, but not in a mocking way. he's genuinely confused as to why you'd be scared of someone like him. it's funny because people usually praise him for being very friendly and approachable.
"you're just.." your voice trails off, trying to think of a way to explain yourself without sounding offensive. "intimidating, y'know, in stature."
lev laughs even harder this time, "woah, that takes me back to when i was in high school. people used to be scared of me because i was the tallest kid in class." he explains, and you detect a hint of pride in his tone.
"that makes sense." you muse, continuing to work on his buttons but it becomes increasingly difficult. especially as he captures your chin between his fingers and pushed your head up so you meet his fiery gaze.
"doesn't make any sense to me." after soaking up your cute flustered expression, he glances down and sees you've only got one button left to do, so he prompts, "go on."
since your fingers are already latched onto it, you're somehow able to undo it without looking. he then releases his grip on your chin so he can slip the shirt off, hanging it up on the adjacent rack.
now shirtless, he turns to you and hums, "your turn?"
lips pressed into a line and heat burning your cheek, the only response you're physically able to give is a meek squeak accompanied by an eager nod. which doesn't even begin to encompass your enthusiasm but perhaps that's for the best.
he smiles at your agreement and grabs the bottom of your top and pulls it off in one swift motion, leaving you standing in your bra in front of him. and before you have a moment to process any of this, he slips one arm behind your shoulder and his other hand reclaims its spot on your jaw to manoeuvre your head upwards, so it's ready to receive his kiss when his lips suddenly come crashing down onto yours.
despite your tact, now that his lips have locked with yours, you find yourself melting into his touch and moving your against him rhythmically. your bodies — though vastly different in proportions — arching into each other desperately.
while one hand sloppily undoes his belt and pulls his cock free from the designer trouser, the other hand on your jaw slowly moves to hold your cheek as the two of you kiss fervently, then it shifts up to your ear, then tangles itself in your hair which he uses to gently pull you away.
you whine quietly at the seperation, missing his hot lips against your own, and he smirks at your reaction. eyes glued to yours, he rasps, "you want it, pretty?"
he motions downwards and you bite your lip at the sight; his size alone is enough to leave you dumdfounded and nodding pathetically, eager to hop on to his monstrous length.
"good girl. think you can handle it?"
"uhuh." you whisper, shaky hands wandering down to take hold of him, and he lets you. in fact, with his grip on your hair, he yanks you down until your face is mere inches away from his tip, "taste first."
with hesitation, you drop to your knees and graciously accept as much of him as you can into your mouth, though that is barely even half. lev still appreciates it; the warmth of your mouth causing his breath to hitch. his cock even twitches at the sight of your cheeks puffed out, struggling to hold him inside.
when his tip prods the back of your throat, it causes you to gag a little, so you immediately jerk away from his cock and cough into your arm.
a concerned look crosses his features and he lightly rubs your back to aid your coughing, "ah, sorry." he apologises, as if it was his fault his cock was so huge that you were gagging on it.
"it's okay." you grate once your coughing fit has calmed down, throat still a bit dry.
he offers you his hand to help you stand up, "c'mon, cutie, that's enough teasing." he reassures you.
you place your hand upon his and as he guides you to your feet , you can't help but notice how big his hand is compared to yours. your thoughts suddenly becomes flooded with fantasties of what you want those big hands to do to you, which he notes by how your touch lingers for a couple moments extra after he lets go.
identifying what your longing for, he presses his lips against yours once more, engaging in a heated make-out while his hands wander down to unzip your jeans and tug them off, leaving you in only your underwear.
while he creeps in tongue into your mouth to make for a french, his long slender fingers rubs your labia through the fabric of your panties, amused by how wet you are already. "still think you can take it?" he basically breathes into the kiss, parting for barely a second to mutter his inquiry.
you reply with an affirmitive moan into the kiss. and just in case that wasn't clear enough, you hook your leg around his hips to give him better access.
he gladly slides the damp strip of material out of the way and sticks his two fingers into your hole, silently snickering at how you writhe at the stimulation of his fingers alone. but you can't help it; they're just so long at push against your walls in just the right way that makes your needy pussy flutter.
the wet noises from your pussy fill the changing room, shortly followed by your stifled moans — afraid other staff might be nearby to hear. his palms rubs against your throbbing clit, as his fingers shallowly thrust inside you. the minimum amount of stimulation needed to make you squim.
lev simply stares at you, enchanted by how your tight hole clings to him, and how the size of his palm compares to your pussy. it's like he could scoop you all up in one hand; hold you tenderly in his hand like a precious doll.
"sweet girl.." he idles, fingers stirring inside you, "fit me so well."
just as he says that, a hiss is drawn from you at how he harshly pulls his fingers out of your hole.
"bend over for me." he commands nicely, and without a second thought, you turn around and bend over, positioning your forearms against the changing room walls to balance you. while you do this, lev has already hooked a finger under the lace of your panties and dragged them down until they fell to your ankles.
his fingers rubbed over your labia, occasionally teasing your clit and soaking up your slick with each seductive movement. his other hand worked on aligning his cock with your glistening hole, until the bulbous tip was prodding against your enterance, at which you let out a low whine of confirmation.
however you didn't fully understand the capacity of what you were giving yourself up for until it was halfway stuffed inside you, contorting your plushing walls to accomodate his massive size and creating a slight buldge in your abdomen. truly it had knocked the wind out of you and despite him no longer being crammed down your throat, you were still choking on it.
as you writhe and mewl in attempt to cope with the intrusion, lev pauses and takes a moment to admire your figure beneath him. how you're so kindly bent over for him, and your tight cunt is struggling to accept his cock.
you were just the right size. with you bent over, he was still tall enough to place his hands on the wall above you, essentially capturing you under him. his sweet angel ready to take him all, and he couldn't help his eagerness to give you what you want.
before he knows it, his hips start to move autonomously against yours, ramming his length into sopping pussy repeatedly, making a lewd squelching noise with every sharp thrust. the volume of which made it clear to anybody nearby what was going on in this changing room, though you didn't have the power to try and silence it, as the hot arousal pooling by your pussy was the only lubricant that facilitated lev's entrance into you, and main reason it was possible for him to move within your homey walls.
his dick stabbed into you over and over, while his slender fingers drew lazy circles over your clit. you were trying your best to stay hushed in fear of being overheard, but lev didn't seem to care. he was allowing the moans, profanities and obscene exclamations to flow freely off his tongue with out a care in the world for who might hear.
"fuck, cutie, so tight." he squeezes the flesh of your ass, then lets his hand wander up so it rests on the small of your back. he's just so much bigger than you, if he wanted he could probably pick you up and fuck you at his height so he doesn't have to bend his knees so much. it's a miracle you're even able to fit him all inside that petite little pussy.
it gets him so hard so see you like this. stripped bare and trembling under him, stifled moans brewing behind your lips and legs trembling as his colossal dick thrashes against your insides. relentless and bruising your cervix with each fervish thrust. completely fucked out from being impaled by his dick, your arms have given out which levaes your cheek pressed lazily against the wall of the changing room. the cold plastic making contact with your skin, hardly enough to combat the waves of searing pleasure he sends rushing through your quivering body.
"can't take it, huh?" he leans over you, his breathy words tickling your shoulder, "too much for this little pussy? too big for my sweet girl?" mindless dirty talk spills from his mouth as his eyes squeeze shut and he basks in the warmth of your walls clamping down on him.
and he pries them open again only so he can get another look at your shaking body, struggling to take him all but persevering. and with the friction of your hole , along with the sight of your small waist held in his soft hands, it wasn't long until lev finished inside you, spilling his hefty load within the confines of your gummy walls.
his cock was pushes out in the process, which made you sigh of relief, but with his hand already positioned on your clit, he was hasty to stuff his fingers right back into your creamed pussy, causing you to gasp.
"sorry," he whispered, straightening his posture and shuffling back, "just don't want to get any on my trousers. they're designer." he chuckles to himself, meanwhile you are still bend over with his load filling your insides; fully exposed and panting.
"maybe i should've used a condom." he muses, playfully curling his fingers, resulting in an erotic moan departing from your lips.
lev laughs heartily, as though he had just cracked the funniest joke, "nah. raw's more fun." he yanks his fingers out, leaving you to feel the full force of his cum stirring within you, "who knows, maybe next time i come back here, there will a tiny version of me."
he places a final kiss to the nape of your neck before heading to pick up his shirt, "and i don't just mean tiny because of your genes."

#38 "i was eavesdropping and i heard something i can’t scrub from my memory" sounds like it could be very funny, especially from a kid's perspective!
you read my mind, it 100% needs be a kid POV, sorry this one is a bit shorter than my usual but it was fun to write. *it actually ended up being longer than I thought cause I have a problem with not knowing when enough is enough lol* ♡

Lucas was going to throw up. He liked to think he had a strong stomach, he really truly did, but this was too much even for him.
“What the hell is your problem?” Max asked him as he came back to Steve’s living room.
“Yea you look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Will pipes up, head leaning on his knee.
Lucas swallowed dryly, he had to phrase this carefully. “Well I was eavesdropping
”
Max snorted from her seat on the couch. “You Lucas Sinclair was eavesdropping? Didn’t think I’d ever see the day. What about the whole ‘respect people’s boundaries’ thing you rave about?”
“And I still stand by that! It’s just I didn’t want to interrupt and
” Lucas thought back to a few minutes ago. He had gone into the kitchen to grab Max an ice pack; she was having a bad hip day. When he had reached the door, he had heard Steve and Eddie talking, and it had sounded serious. Lucas felt bad about interrupting, but he also couldn’t go back to Max without the ice pack. They had been good for months now, and he didn’t want to risk it. (He knew this was ridiculous considering they weren’t really that dysfunctional, and she loved him, a reluctant secret smile confession on her end. But there was this deep part of Lucas who was terrified of disappointing her). So he was content with waiting outside the door until they were done.
Lucas really should have turned around and left.
“What if they don’t
want to be around us Stevie?” Eddie whispered.
“Baby they are just kids. They are good kids. They are our friends. They won’t be upset.” Steve murmured back.
This was the point Lucas should have turned around, but he was confused and wanted to understand.
“You aren’t even the slightest bit worried, that maybe they won’t be accepting? I don’t think any of them have been exposed to gay culture, let alone two men dating?”
Oh. Oh no. This was really private. Lucas should have really turned around but at that point, his feet were glued to the ground.
“I mean yea a little bit
they are shitheads. Especially Mike—“ Lucas had to hold back a snort, “—but they are good. It’s why we are friends with them. As much as it pains me to admit we are friends with children.”
Lucas wished he could see their faces.
“What if
what if they are more than shitheads this time?” Lucas had never heard Eddie’s voice sound so small.
“
do you want to wait a little longer?” Steve’s voice asked gently, with no anger.
“If that’s okay. I just
want to live in our bubble a little longer. Well our bubble plus Robin.” Lucas imagined Eddie biting his hair in that moment.
“Yea baby. We take this at the pace you need. And Robin already knows, which is pretty much the only person I can’t keep a secret from. And I like our little bubble too.” Lucas heard shuffling around, like fabric reaching around itself.
“Yea?”
“Yea. I think I can go a little longer without the twerps making gagging noises every time we kiss. We can wait to tell them we’re together.”
“Hmmmm should we do a practice show right now, to prepare for when we need to freak them out?” Eddie’s voice turned suddenly flirty.
“I like the way you think.” This was the last words Lucas heard before the sounds of the two of them clearly heavily making out came through the doorway. It was at the first moan that Lucas ran away.
Lucas was brought back to reality when Max snapped her fingers in his face. “Want to share with the class loser?”
Oh god, Lucas was gonna throw up at the memory.
It wasn’t the fact that they were men and that they were dating. Lucas was, in fact, really happy for them. He had never thought about it, but in a weird way, it made sense. He wanted them to be happy. And if he was really being honest with himself, he was hoping maybe this would get Max to stop staring at Steve when he doesn’t have a shirt on (a few months later, Lucas would be horribly proven wrong of this theory).
It wasn’t this kissing that made him want to vomit either. Sure, the idea of his older brother figure making out with his dungeon master wasn’t a pleasant thought, but he had witness Mike make out with El, so he was pretty immune to grossness.
No, the problem was Lucas realized with great certainty he was going to have to keep a secret.
He gagged at the thought.
Sure, he could keep a whole other dimension and government conspiracy theory a secret from his parents (and, ya know, the world), but he caved relatively quickly when it came to Max. And Max could tell whenever he was lying. But Lucas wasn’t stupid; he knew you couldn’t just tell other people that someone you know is gay. He didn't know the word for it, maybe there wasn’t one, but Lucas knew what it was like to be different. He didn’t want to make Steve and Eddie feel bad, or cause others to be mean to them. He didn’t think the rest of the party would care about the gay? Bisexual? Queer?—wait, that’s a bad word, Lucas thought—it didn’t matter what specifically, but he didn’t think they would care about the gay stuff—more like Lucas knew his friends. El and Max would have a million, invasive questions. Mike would be a dick, but not for serious reasons. More like “I have weird insecurities” reasons. It would probably be good for Will (again, Lucas isn’t stupid). And Dustin, holy shit, he would most definitely either be pissed he didn’t know sooner, or would rub it in everyone’s face that he made it happen. Both of which Lucas knew would be horrible reactions.
God, he was going to throw up. He was going to lie to his friends. His girlfriend. He couldn’t just share this secret. It would go horrible if he told, it’s not his secret! His stupid, stupid friends (not El and Max) would blow up if it came from him first. And then Eddie and Steve would be upset, he told, and they would think that the party hated them for something out of their control, even though they love them no matter what! And oh god, he’s gonna have to lie so much—
He was spiraling, he needed to calm down.
“Lucas?” Max’s face suddenly softened, like she knew he was having a hard time getting the words together. Lucas looked at her face, and took a couple of seconds to count her freckles but lost track quickly. He didn’t mind; he would to start again later. He followed the laugh lines around her eyes that weren’t there last year, and thought about trying to make her laugh.
Max said nothing as he stared, even as the guys pressed him to answer. It was strange, he was terrified of lying to Max, but he knew deep down she would understand. That she would know he was lying but wouldn’t call him out on it.
“I was eavesdropping and I heard something I can’t erase from my memory. I almost walked in on Steve giving sex advice to Eddie, so I walked away before it got gross. I forgot your ice pack; I’m sorry.” Lucas apologized; he did genuinely feel bad he didn’t succeed on his mission.
The guys started chattering behind him, asking questions and yelling out in disgust, but Max stayed quiet for a second, then said, “It’s okay, stalker. Didn’t have high hopes for you anyway. You always get distracted.”
Lucas sent her a grateful smile, and pretended to be offended. “Are you saying I don’t finish what I’ve started? You should know better, Max.”
Max threw her head back, and full body laughed. She scooped Lucas’ hand and wove her pale fingers between his. “That’s me being nice, Lucas. Don’t go around telling people that. Or I’ll have to up the ante.”
Lucas kissed the back of her hand and whispered, “Maybe I like it when you’re a little mean.”
Max blushed and looked to check if the guys were paying attention (they weren’t; they were still arguing over sex they weren’t having), and leaned over to give him a soft kiss on the cheek. Max didn’t ask any questions even though Lucas knew she knew he was lying.
Lucas didn’t let go of her hand, and quietly hoped that Eddie made Steve feel the way Max made him feel.
He deserved something special like that.
**
I need you guys to know that I had to keep backtracking to correct boys into guys, cause I’m so used to writing from an older persons perspective. But I wanted some steddie and lumax mixed together. And Lucas! Deserves! More! Attention!!!
thank you so much for the ask I had so much fun with this one.

Hey, so first of all, I love your work, it's absoluteley amazing!!!
I saw that your requests are open, so I thought that I would ask for a Matt Murdock x reader oneshot? You know, just something cute and fluffy?
Maybe I'm gonna sound a bit stereotypical but how about a reader that owns a bakery and wants to try out a new recipe. Matt tries to sneak a taste from time to time while "helping out" (honestly, he's just teasing and making reader's job probably harder [affectionaly]). Just domestic fluff? Maybe please?
You don't have to if you don't want to, but I thought I'd give it a try :)
Thank you!! I'm glad you like my writing!! đŸ«‚
I'm worried with this one that I tweaked things just enough that it's not exactly what you wanted anon, but I did my best and wrote what inspiration gave me!! I'll be honest, it could be fluffier, but I'm also not offended by my own writing so that's something lol I hope you like it!! ❀❀

Was turning your residential apartment into a glorified bakery after you moved in with your boyfriend legal? According to Matt, a very good lawyer, it wasn’t technically illegal, so you did it anyway and prayed your landlord never found out.
It wasn’t really a bakery, not in the traditional sense. You didn’t try making it into a storefront, nor did you want it to be one. You did, however, take specialty orders through your website. You mainly baked for small events or private parties. You weren’t touching a wedding with a ten-foot pole unless you made the cake or just one of the cookies for the snack table.
It wasn’t enough to pay the bills on its own—you still had a full-time job—but you enjoyed it, and the small amount of extra income it generated was nice.
Matt enjoyed it, too. So much so that you often joked he had ulterior motives for dating you.
But even though baking was a passion, it still came with challenges.
You let out a frustrated sigh and leaned against your elbows, bent over the counter, and buried your face in your hands.
This is the worst part about baking, you thought.
“Do you need help?” Matt asked, hand suddenly on your shoulder. You jumped, letting out a small gasp. “Sorry. I tried calling a couple of times.”
“It’s fine,” you sighed, turning to wrap your arms around his middle, leaning into him, and pressing your face against his neck. “I just hate this.”
Matt huffed a laugh. “It can’t be so bad. You say that about every new thing you try.”
“But I really mean it this time!” you whined, though you actually didn’t.
You strived for perfection, but new recipes were always daunting. Either the first few batches didn’t meet your standards, or the very first one did, but the subsequent batches often failed. You thought once or twice about not adding anything new to your menu, but you needed to keep a refreshed list, or else you risked losing repeat customers—the ones who made this business possible for you in the first place.
“We can do it together,” Matt offered, lips brushing against the top of your head. “Will that make it better?”
You considered it for a moment. Matt’s taste was impeccable. You often used him—and Foggy and Karen—as guinea pigs, and he was always able to offer you the best advice. In another life, he would have been a fantastic chef. You’ve never baked anything with him before, only handed him the finished product.
If he helped you now, as you were putting everything together, it could make the whole try, try again process you had going significantly shorter, if not bypassed completely.
“Yes, actually. I think it will,” you answered, lifting your head up.
The only problem: Matt was a complete and utter nuisance.
He wouldn’t do what you told him, at times completely forgoing your instructions—the one you found in an old cookbook that wasn’t like anything you found online—and adding either the incorrect amount of something or adding something that wasn’t even on the list of ingredients.
No matter how many times you told him baking was an exact science and the time for experimentation was after you followed the recipe to a T and tasted the finished product, he refused to listen. You thought he did, at first, but then you caught him tossing in almond extract behind your back, and things only went downhill from there.
“Would you please stop sticking your fingers in the bowl?” you practically begged after you caught him helping himself to the cookie batter for the fourth time.
“How else am I supposed to taste it?” he asked with a playful smirk. He seemed to enjoy the fact he was making you want to pull your hair out.
“With the spoon I specifically set out for that purpose!” You picked it up and thrust it at him. He ignored it and stuck his finger in his mouth.
“But I’m blind. How am I supposed to know where it is?”
You raised an eyebrow, not fooled. “The same way you find the bowl even after I move it.”
Matt shrugged. “Fair point. But if I used the spoon, I couldn’t do this.” He stuck his finger in the bowl again.
“Matthew, I swear to—”
He stuck his finger in your mouth, not far but enough for the batter to touch your tongue, before he pulled away.
“—God,” you couldn’t help but finish as the first notes of the batter processed. Brow furrowed, you focused on the taste, brushing your tongue against the roof of your mouth, trying to make it last while you sorted out the different flavors. It was

“That’s amazing,” you said, stunned. “What did you put in there?” You pulled the bowl toward you, forgetting the spoon in your hand as you dipped in a finger from the other. It wasn’t what you were trying to make at all, and you needed another sample.
“I tried telling you it just needed a few extra ingredients.” Before you could stick your finger in your mouth, Matt took your hand, wrapping his lips around your batter-covered finger. His tongue lapped gently against the pad, almost teasing. “Now it’s perfect,” he said when he pulled away.
“I think I need you in the kitchen more often,” you said, wheels already turning in your mind.
Matt beamed at you and tried leaning in for a kiss. You, however, didn’t notice and stepped away to find your phone, leaving him confused.
You opened your notes app and said, “Quick, tell me what you did before you forget.”
Matt could only shake his head in amusement before he dutifully listed everything he had snuck into the batter.

A/N: You can probably tell I’m pretty tired by the writing + shorter chapter, but I wanted to get something out. The original draft was longer but I wasn’t happy with the later half, so I thought I would just for with a smaller chapter this time and keep working at the later half for a better finished produce. This mainly serves as a transitional chapter anyway, with more action expected in the next one.
You know that stereotype where fanfic authors literally go through the craziest shit when they’re writing? Well the last few weeks I won my first trial as a law student, got a few good resolution for other clients all at once, ans started getting closer with my crush. So
 I’ve been pretty busy as you can see lol. I have a term break in a few weeks, which is likely when the next chapter will come out, and where I will try to pre-write another chapter or two. Thank you all for being patient with the delay!
Chapter 4: Late Appraisal (3.8k+ words)
“I just don’t understand how this even happened!” you watched the short white-haired man pace around Herta’s office, his forehead crinkled in concentration and mouth twisted into a worried frown. You felt your head pulse with each of his footsteps, thumping in beat with the heavy taps of his feet on the tile floor, the ache getting worse with each motion he made. Aeons, you wish they never found you napping in the Seclusion Zone. At least then you could’ve dealt with your hangover in peace and quiet, “How could multiple researchers and a Herta puppet all go missing in one afternoon? Especially with our upgraded security! It just makes no sense.”
“If you let me go look at the security system, I could tell you,” you deadpanned, eyes trailing over to the office door briefly, as if contemplating some way to escape, before flickering back to your boss, “I don’t even get why you called me here, aren’t we wasting time with this meeting when we could be trying to fix things?”
“Wasting time?” Arlan rebutted, stopping his pacing and crossing his arms over his chest. His eyes narrowed as he looked at you, giving you little hope of making your escape from the office, “You know what’s a waste of time? Trying to track you down just to find out you were passed out drunk in the Seclusion Zone! Do you know how much time we wasted just trying to find you?”
“It was literally my day off, Arlan,” you huffed in reply, mirroring his stance by crossing your own arms over your chest, “I don’t have to tell you where I am all the time. Not anymore at least.” You let the implication of the words hang in the air, something that didn’t go over well with your usually mellow boss, who seemed to be getting angrier by the minute. But hey, if he was gonna push your buttons, you weren’t just gonna sit there and take it.
“We’re in an emergency, Y/N!” he practically shouted at you, “It doesn’t matter if it's your day off! What would’ve you done if it was your day off when the Legion attacked? Stayed in your room and brushed it off?” You felt your body stiffen at his words, arms moving from their crossed state to hang loosely at your sides. You hated this; when you argued, when he used his knowledge of you and what would set you off for his own advantage. It was almost downright cruel.
“Don’t talk about the Legion attack,” your reply was quick, emotionless as if you were trying to avoid thinking of it yourself, “You know that’s different. A lot different.” At this point, you were willing to run out of the Herta’s Office, meeting be damned. The ache in your head paused for a moment replaced by a dull pain in your chest, mind swirling with thoughts you’d rather forget. You were almost afraid of how you appeared to your boss right now.
You watched Arlan’s eyes for the shift in emotion, hoping, praying that he was able to see where you were coming from. You saw it for a moment, like a flicker of hope burning within his purple orbs, before he blinked, sending the sympathy away from wherever it came from, “Is it though? For all we know, all of those researchers are dead! Adler could be dead!” You clenched your fist at the mention of the boy, the pounding in your head seeming to grow again.
“I get it!” you exclaimed, throwing your arms in the air in frustration, “Which is why I wanna look at the security system to see how this happened! But instead were here arguing about stupid shit that doesn’t matter right now!” You watched as he began to pace around Herta’s office again, Herta’s holographic image of herself staring at the both of you, along with the other genius society portraits, as if they all were looking down on this conversation too. You couldn’t blame them.
“You know why were having this conversation,” Arlan was quieter now, but still stern, “We needed you, and you there was no way to contact you!” He let out a shaky sigh before talking again, “We even started to think you were taken too!” You took a deep breath, attempting to let the anger inside of you simmer down at the genuine tone of his voice.
“I already know that,” you sighed, “ Screwllum told me it all when he came to wake me up,” you raised an eyebrow, “You should’ve asked him sooner, I mean,” you tugged on your button-down shirt, holding back a wince at how the sudden action made your head pound harder, “You already know our relationship. If anyone knew where I was, it would be him” You released the shirt, begrudgingly moving a hand to hold your head now, unable to pretend that you didn’t feel like shit any longer. Arlan looked at you with an expression you couldn’t quite read; disgust? Pity? You’d honestly rather not know.
“How much did you drink yesterday?” Arlan asked you, pausing his pacing again to change the subject, his expression still holding anger, but voice quiet, as if he was preparing to hear bad news. You thought about putting up a fuss for a moment, but sighed, preparing yourself to relent on this point, as if the alcohol was holding you back from hiding the extent of your poor state.
“A bottle of wine,” you said simply, crossing your arms across your chest again. You almost looked stupid, standing in the office in your sweatpants and Screwllum’s shirt, confessing your problems, while Arlan stared back at you in proper uniform, leaving the power imbalance between you two evident visually and audibly,  “And a bit of Vodka,” you left the part about the vodka being in your water bottle unspoken, not prepared to deal his rant on that topic that the two of you had gone through hundreds of times before, though the pitying look on his face told you that he already knew.
“You really have to stop this,” Arlan said, voice losing the anger now, holding nothing but pity. Honestly, you preferred him angry. When Arlan became sentimental and looked at you like you were a lost cause or some sort of fuck up, for some reason nothing in the world felt worse. You didn’t know what it was; the way his lips curved into a frown like no other he ever displayed, or how his big eyes became downturned, a flicker of pain etched onto them and the rest of his features, “You can’t keep doing this to yourself
”
“I don’t want to talk about this,” you stared into his pitying eyes, hand from your head moving back to your side as you forced both your features and stance into neutrality as if that would fight off the emotions that threatened to spill from you.
“You don’t have a choice,” he said firmly, though not unkindly, “You know what I think about your drinking
 what Asta thinks,” he let that name hang in the air for a moment, sending a shiver down your spine that made you wince, an action that didn’t go unnoticed by your boss. Arlan sighed, the sternness from before fading away into his usual kind demeanour, “You know I can’t control what you do; you’re an adult. But when your drinking gets in the way of your job; when you pass out somewhere where we can’t find you when we need you, thats when it becomes an issue.”
“Arlan,” you spoke his name, whether in warning for him to stop, or in frustration at the change in track of conversation, you couldn’t say.
“You know the Station is vulnerable after the attack
 you know it better than anyone,” he said softly, “So we need you to be at 100% all the time
 I know I already extended your hours after the whole incident from a few days ago,” you gritted your teeth at the previous punishment you had received due to your actions on the night that the stupid alcaster face bastard arrived, “but I don’t think that’s enough for what we need from you right now.”
“What are you suggesting?” you huffed, tapping a finger against your thigh impatiently. It clearly wasn’t the first time you received punishment and definitely wouldn’t be the last. At least that was something familiar in your life, you mused - at least something in your life could follow a steady routine.
“... You can’t drink any alcohol for the rest of the month,” he said firmly, quickly speaking again when he saw you open your mouth in protest, “Okay, maybe not the month
 but at least until we get the researchers back and solve the confidence issues
 I need you sober right now, Y/N.”
“You know its not that easy to just
 stop,” you muttered, eyes moving to look at your feet. Even now, early in the morning, probably a bit over 12 hours from your last drink, you felt jittery, like you needed something to quell your nerves. Without the alcohol, and even with the pounding head, things were too
 vivid, real. It was overwhelming to experience the sensations in the world how they were meant to be seen without the dull drag of a foggy blanket taking over your mind. How were you supposed to go a few days like this?
“I’m sorry,” he said softly, catching your glance as you looked back at him, “I don’t have a choice right now
 let's talk more later, go, try to figure out why the security system went down last night.”
You opened your mouth, as if to respond, but allowed it to close again, turning your back to the man, “Whatever
 talk to you later
 Brother Arlan,” you left Herta’s office before he could respond to your use of his common teasing nickname around the station, not being in the mood to deal with another yelling match today. You unceremoniously slam the door behind you before you practically drag your body towards the elevator. Around you, you could hear the panicked gossip of various researchers, a sound that did nothing to calm the pounded headache that continued to make every movement a hassle. Part of you thought about talking to them - telling them that everything was under control.
The other part of you recognized that you probably looked like a hot mess right now, and didn’t bother. They already didn’t trust you anyway - you weren’t stupid. If anything, approaching them would probably make things worse than it already was. So, you dragged your body down the stairs, onto the main floor of the master control zone and to the elevator, fully intent on not acknowledging anyone’s existence.
It was only the sniffles of one specific person that made you do a double-take before you could press the button to call the elevator. Wen Shiling was a few feet behind you, trying to hide her sobs in her sleeve, but failing to do so, her small body physically shaking, evident even from your distance away from her. It was times like these when you wondered how children were even allowed to be researchers on this Station in the first place - it made you wonder how they could handle the stress that even you struggled to deal with. You paused, mind flickering between Wen Shiling and the elevator, sighing when you ultimately decided on the former, trudging your quiet body towards hers.
“Wen Shiling?” you spoke softly, bending down to be closer to her height, the action paining your head. Honestly, with your hangover and usual tone of conversation, you really had no idea how to approach comforting her
 or anyone really, “What’s wrong sweetie, are you okay?” you hesitated before reaching a hand out, touching her gently on the shoulder. Her eyes seemed to water as she took in your form, a long sob escaping her lips. She looked from your hand to you, as if contemplated whether she wanted to move away, though she kept herself firmly planted in place.
“No, I’m mad!” she cried, wiping her teary eyes on her sleeve. She offered you know no other words, too focused on stifling her sobs, which were still obnoxiously loud. You resisted the urge to cover your ears to block out the noise despite her cries doing nothing to soothe your headache. You gently rubbed your hand up and down her back, hoping that it offered some form of comfort to the girl.
Though she wasn’t clear about the source of her anger, it was clear enough to guess, “You don’t have to worry about Adler, we’ll definitely bring him back soon.” Of course you left out the part where you had no idea where the little boy was or if he was even alive
 but you really didn’t want to get into discussing the philosophy of life and death with a eight year old. Your mind flickered to Adler’s stupid book you had borrowed, the one you hadn’t cracked open since the night your
 enjoyable evening with Screwllum was interrupted by the damned doctor you had been forced to accommodate. What if you never saw him again
 what if he never got to talk to you about the book? You internally shook your head, focusing again on Wen Shiling in front of you. Aeons, if only you could have a drink to take the edge off

“I don’t want him back
 he’s stupid!” she sobbed again. You tried not to cringe at the snot covering the sleeves of her dress, forcing yourself to focus on her words, “He doesn’t talk to me and then disappears
! I don’t even want him here!”
“I’m sure he was just busy,” you attempt to soothe the girl, cursing the Aeons for failing to give you skills in soothing children. Deciding your ability to comfort children was lacking, you decided to only logically thing you could do was change your tone to match your usual personality, “You know, once we get him back I’m sure he’ll be sorry for how he treated you. That’ll serve him right, huh?.”
“He’ll be sorry?” she echoed your words, blinking dumbly up at you. You nodded in encouragement, hoping that you finally found some method to calm her crying. You forced yourself to plaster the a smile on your face, as if everything was fine and you weren’t currently feeling like death from a hangover and dealing with the aftermath of another invasion and your alcohol problem all at the same time.
“Of course! Im sure we can even make him take an afternoon off his stupid ecology research,” you said with smirk, happy to at least let your genuine thoughts shine through for a moment before the inevitable hours of seriousness ahead, “I heard he’s horrible at board games, we could force him to play one beat him to a pulp.”
Wen Shiling smiled a bit, though her frown returned soon after, “Big sis
 Can I ask you something? But you have to tell me the truth.”
Feeling like you were getting the farthest using your typical personality, you let your genuine thoughts ring through in your answer “Sure, I’m not a liar,” you shrugged, crossing your arms over your chest, “what’s up?”
“
” she hesitated for a moment before speaking, “Do you really think Adler is okay?
 You think we’ll find him?” You stared at her for a moment, taking in her big brown tearful eyes and the snotty sleeves on her dress, an expression mixed with hopefulness and worry plastered all over her features. You forced a confident smirk on your face, placing your hands on your hips in mock confidence.
“I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.”
It wasn’t your first time lying to a kid, and you were sure it wouldn’t be the last either.
~~~~
Your head continued to pound as the elevator descended, countless sounds filling your head. Arlan’s yelling
 Wen Shiling’s crying
 it all fluttered around your brain like snow, casting an endless stream of emotions on your already overwhelmed brain. Your mind drifted to your water bottle which you knew sat on your desk in your room
 would Arlan even know if you took a sip from it
 He couldn’t right? How would he? There was no way he could actually expect to accurately record your sobriety, you thought to yourself. No, you just had to be sneaky with it - a few sips here and there to quell your thoughts
 thats all you would need
 just something to take the edge off. Even the thought of the alcohol seemed to quiet your brain, like a blanket may drive off heat on a cold night. If you were in your right mind, maybe you would realize how worrisome your thoughts truly were
 but right now you really didn’t care.
“When an elevator arrives at its destination, you are expected to dismount it,” you blinked back into focus at the familiar irritating voice, eyes falling on to the Doctor. Dressed in his usual clothes, though lacking his alabaster head, he stared at you with a raised eyebrow, as if you were some sort of unusual specimen in his lab. In all honesty, you couldn’t blame him. You hadn’t even realized your elevator had arrived at the floor with everyone’s personal quarters, too caught up in your thoughts to notice, which left you standing blankly forward despite the door already having opened.
“And when someone doesn’t get out, you’re expected to politely address them, not be a snarky asshole,” you shot back, forcing yourself to leave the elevator. Not ready to end the conversation, but not wanting the elevator to go away, the Doctor stepped inside, pressing the door open button.
“Your insults lack creativity when you are hung over,” he deadpanned, sighing - whether in disappointment or disgust, you didn’t know, “I suppose it doesn’t matter. I was looking for you, you need to come with me.”
You rose an eyebrow at the Doctor, “Uh, kinda in the middle of trying to solve a crisis right now,” you deadpanned, “I’m sure you’ve heard about it
 ya know, missing researchers, faulty security system. Don’t really have time for whatever bullshit you’re up to right now.”
“You wound me,” he states, though his face shows no sign of any emotion, “Since when do I act without purpose?” He looked at you with disgust, as if he was shocked at the suggestion, “Of course I am aware of the current predicament and I wish to help you.”
You cock an eyebrow at him, arms crossed in front of your chest, “And why would you do that exactly? What’s in it for you?” skepticism dripped from your tone, a fact that you knew was all too apparent for the Doctor, who met your gaze defiantly, “Literally all you’ve done since getting here is be a pain in the ass and then almost get me killed - your actions don’t really scream helpful.”
“I seem to recall I was helpful enough in procuring wine for you and allowing you to sleep in my presence,” he smirked cockily, brushing a stray strand of hair from his forehead, “Or do actions such as those not qualify as helpful in your dictionary?”
“The only thing that helped with is getting me chewed out by my boss, so thanks for that I guess, what a help you are,” you rolled your eyes, tempted to walk away, but for some reason forcing yourself to stay put, “I don’t know what the hell was in that wine you gave me, but I swear I’m not usually that
 clingy.” You thought you should say more, but chose to stay silent deciding you already made enough of a fool of yourself, “Honestly I don’t even remember most of the shit I did last night.”
“Alcohol interferes with one’s ability to form long term memories, such a fact is really not suprising,” he said matter-of-factly, a cocky smirk coating his features. You barley knew this man, but he seemed to always revel in the ability of making people feel dumb, “Luckily for you, I retained my own memory of the evening, if you wish to recall more.”
“I’d rather not learn more things Arlan can yell at me about, thanks,” you huffed, forcing the conversation back to its original topic, “So really, why do you wanna help me? What’s in it for you?”
“Many things really,” he said casually, finger still firmly pressing the open button on the elevator door, “The satisfaction of helping idiots some a simple problem, the joy of reuniting the researchers with their companions
 or the pleasure of building a diplomatic relationship between the IPC and the Space Station as I was directed.”
“Should’ve known of course it was about the diplomacy,” you smirked at him, propping an arm next to the elevator door, “You clearly wouldn’t act kindly on your own accord. Got your own boss who you’re afraid will chew you out like mine?”
The Doctor’s face soured at the mention of a boss, “I’d rather not think of my acquaintances at the IPC, they are not the most fond people to be around.” The scowl on his face made you interested in learning more, but the Doctor was quick to change the subject, “I merely offered my assistance to Miss Asta and she accepted. The mere certitude that doing so will satisfy my companions is simply a bonus.”
“Whatever, I don’t care if Asta got you to help, I have my own work to do,” you brushed him off, turning to move away from the elevator. You were startled when a firm hand grasped your arm, preventing you from leaving. The Doctor’s skin was warm, radiating heat through Screwllum’s dress shirt. His touch mass you freeze in your tracks, glancing over your shoulder at the Doctor.
“I’m not asking you,” he said plainly, as if disgusted that you hadn’t picked up on that sooner, “You prescene has been requested.” You felt mesmerized for a moment by his presence, the scent of his cologne filling your nose due to your close proximity. His golden eyes seemed to bore into you, as if staring into your soul. It was the first time you really took in how
 handsome he looked. Of course you had noticed before
 you had eyes of course, but something about how he looked at you now seemed to awaken something within you, something you were desperate to push away, while at the same time wanting to cling on to it.
Snapping into your senses, you yank your hand from his, crossing it over your chest once more, “Requasted by who?”
“Hmmm what was the word you used for it again?” The Doctor’s hand, now free from holding your wrist, went to his chin in contemplation, “Ah yes, that’s it. A situationship. Screwllum requested your prescene.” With his other hand, he let go of open door button, allowing the door to close behind him, “We’ll see you in the Seclusion Zone.”
Violet, Blue, And Bruised All Over: Long Talks
Part 1/ Part 2/ Part 3/ Part 4/ Part 5/ Part 6
Note: this has been in my draft for at least 2 weeks, hit a slump and then a hyperfixation couldn't write lol. so this is alot shorter and the drawings wont make as much sense without part like?? 6.5???... but I just wanted to post it cuz I felt bad
Reblogs and comments appreciated <3 I wanna hear y'all's thoughts >:3c
Red and Blue: a deep conversation filled with compassion and vulnerability:
Tumblr media
Meanwhile Vio and Green:
Tumblr media
(sorry I haven't updated this in a while, real life calls :')
The following days were hell. Red knew how much fights shredded his heart into a bajillion tiny pieces, but really the forced normalcy was so much worse!
The two had gotten an even bigger longer (and honestly ranty) lecture from Green the next day. Red didn't think it really helped much. Like sure they were cowed into NOT biting each other or whatever, but c'mon!
It felt like everyone was mad at everyone else! And even though technically no one was really mad at him, they were all mad at each other which- considering they were all sorta kinda not really the same person? It still felt that way!
Green had gotten really bossy and super serious, and Blue and Vio were just avoiding each other like the plague! Whenever they did come into "an unfortunate proximity" as Vio put it, there wasn't anything but a ton of silent hate! Red really just wanted to curl up into a little hole and die. Well not really! But like, emotionally! Just a bit!
Green kept pushing them to talk about the details, but neither one would talk. Red decided to try asking them one on one, you know, use his charm a bit and soften the edges- But even when he cried it didn't work! Him crying always worked! Especially when he said just the right words in just the right way to softly push them into making a realization.
Red wouldn't really call himself a manipulator in that sense, because hey! He was using his powers for good, right? At least most of the time, anyways. It was a useful way to get out of trouble and get things he wanted...
By why couldn't it work now when he needed it most!!
Vio just treated him like how a parent would to their kid when the kid just, well, asked about death or some hard grownup topic. Like Red just simply wouldn't understand and not to worry about it- But he was worrying! He knew Vio just didn't want him to be sad but still...
Then Blue- Well, Blue was just sad. And a little p*ssed. But it was clear he was just mostly sad. At least when he talked to Red anyways. At first he had been all huffy and insisted that it was all so stupid, so why even bring it up anyways? Because it was "over already!" Which, no that was super stupid of Blue to think, because obviously all their relationships were like super mega sad???
When Red expressed that sentiment though, it seemed to change something in Blue. Blue just closed up and got all quiet. He hated when Blue did that. But it also meant his plan was working. Blue may be a little, uhm, explosive to people and things when he got upset- But really if he was like actually really seriously upset? Then he got all quiet and intense all by himself. But Red knew how to pry all those layers off, even if it was just melting his way though each one of Blue's icy walls, one at a time.
Not even a day later of the guilt obviously devouring Blue inside out, and clearly losing against his ego. (Red knew that's what happened, he probably didn't want to be the "first one to show weakness" and just talk about how his feelings were hurt and acted like he was just all angry and didn't care, but Blue was a big softie and no amount of pouting was gonna change that in Red's eyes.)
They'd been walking to the training yards extremely early in the morning, the sun had barely peeked over the horizon really. In Red's opinion, going all the way to the castle to train in the big professional courtyard before the birds even woke up was probably some sort of crime against humanity. And him. But Red was so close to getting Blue to spill! SO he had to stick with Blue the whole time to make sure his plan would work. He just had to be consistent! Even if... it was at like... Red blearily squinted against the horizon. Five AM? Uegh.
Green was right about those too being similar. But it wasn't just cuz they were so stubborn. More like they were both weirdos that had a vendetta against sleep. Seriously, would it kill Blue to sleep in for five more minutes...
Dating Jason Todd (Part Thirteen)
Fanfic type: angst, fluff, hurt/comfort (ongoing)
If you liked the Titans show but wish they handled Jason’s story line differently you might like this fic!
HELLOOOOOOO, I’m finally adding onto this fic, the first one I ever wrote, at last. Shits been a little wild in my life rn, I’ve been kinda sad, but hey I’m getting through it. Anyways sorry for taking such a long break from updating this one. Fun fact I read fanfic all the time but I had never written and actually planned to post any till December when I had a cold. I started writing this while I was sick and kinda out of it, honestly it was just a joke. I kept writing it over winter break cause like free time but now I’ve realized I actually enjoy writing these. I know the writings not always the best, mostly cause I write these right before I go to sleep most of the time. But writing these has been such a good distraction and escape and also a good way to keep myself writing and practicing while also sharing something people seem to like and find comfort and entertainment in. Thanks to everyone who reads any fic I write, it means a lot to međŸ©·
I’m gonna be taking inspo from under the red hood, titans, Arkham knight, comic lore, the Batman, arrowverse and my imagination lol. Of course I don’t own any dc characters this is purely fanfic. Reader is referred to as she/her.
Warnings: talking of death, death, depression, suicidal thoughts, reader is super sad, grief, risky behavior
Part Thirteen: With him
You weren’t even dancing anymore just trying to keep standing as you stumbled further into the crowd at the Iceberg Lounge. It had been about an hour since you met the kind stranger in the red mask. Even with the pounding music making your ears ring, all you could hear in your mind was Jason’s voice. His laugh, his cries, the soft tone he used only when he was speaking to you echoed through your brain. You could barely comprehend that he was really gone. You hear angry shouting over the loud music and chatter. Out of the corner of your eye you see two people punching each other. One punches the other into the crowd where you’re standing. The girl infront of you puts her arms up as she backs away from the fight her arm hits the side of your head, hard. Your vision goes blurry and you fall. You lay there unconscious as people kick you without even noticing your on the ground. Somebody drags you away from the crowd and begins carrying you bridal style.
You open your eyes to find yourself back in Penguin’s old office once more. It appears the man in the red mask has once again chosen to help you.
“Who the hell are you?” You ask him. He doesn’t answer. “You seem familiar but I can’t figure you out.”
“Here,” he says as he sits down next to you with an ice pack in his hand. “I’m gonna put some ice where you got hit,” he says.
“Do I know you?” You ask, desperate to find out his identity. He’s close enough where if you focus you can see through the red tint of the lenses. You look deep into his eyes searching for answers or even a clue to who he is. He looks like-. No it can’t be, you thought. You’re about to ask him another question when you see a tear rolling down his cheek. “Are you
crying?” You ask. Before he can answer Dick breaks the office door off the hinges.
“Y/N!” He says. The man whips his head around to see Dick. “Who the fuck are you?” The man doesn’t answer he simply stands up. Dick begins to walk toward you and the man steps in front of him. “Step aside,” Dick says as he places a hand on the man’s shoulder. Dick is a bit shorter than him, like he was a bit shorter than Jason. They stand there for a second and you hold your breath. The man then places his hand on Dick’s and pulls him to the ground. Dick quickly gets up and punches the man in the face a couple of times.
“Hey!” You shout. “The fuck are you doing?” They both just look at you. You get up and grab Dick’s arm. “Let’s go,” you say to Dick as you get one last look at the stranger.
Once you and him had gotten the bag you stashed you agreed to leave with him. Sitting in the passenger seat of his silver Porsche you asked, “wait how did you even find me?”
“Bat tracker,” he says.
“Really!” You say angrily. He doesn’t answer. “What no smart remark?”
“No Y/N, no smart remark. You scared the shit out of me seriously. We thought Selina took you or Joker finally got you. You scared the hell out of Rachel too by the way. We even called Thea to see if you’d gone there. Seriously what the fuck were you thinking!” He scolds. You think about what to respond, but no words would do justice to how hopeless you feel.
“I’m sorry,” you murmur.
“What,” he says genuinely not hearing you.
“I’m sorry,” you say bursting into tears.
“Tell me what to do Y/N, just tell me where to take you that you’ll actually stay and I will,” he says trying to help you.
“I don’t know! I just want Jason!” You cry. “I wish I was with him
I wish I fucking died too.” Dick has seen you like this before only once, before you even knew Jason. He knew he could try to comfort you and he would do that, but he still knew it wouldn’t make much the difference.
“I’m gonna take you to Thea’s,” he says quietly. You nod, still crying. Thea is one of two people who have never made you feel like a burden, and the other one is dead so she is your best bet.
