stupid gow A.U’s #16:
A.U where Atreus sometimes rips out the throats of his enemies during combat. In human form.
Everyone is extremely unnerved n terrified of this, but when confronting Kratos about it, he just hums, basically saying “idk I didn’t teach him that,,,”
Him n Laufey gave up ages ago on trying to quell their sons inherited feralness, it’s a trait they both know can’t be simply gotten rid of ):))

Asking them if you’re their type
Featuring: Susano’o, Loki, Qin, and Apollo ( part 1 )
Tumblr media
Ight new series! And yes, established relationship.
Part 2.
Warnings? Mostly fluff.
Susano’o
Being the wife of the sword god, you must’ve impressed him somehow. Well, you were yet you were having doubts about why he asked for your hand in marriage of all the women he could’ve wanted.
You were an ordinary fighter. You used the legendary Kusanagi no Tsurugi sword and created new wind-style techniques. While Susano’o used the Totsuka-no-Tsurugi. Was it by luck you had created such a fine blade? Susano’o had spotted you training one day and was acting crazy over your techniques.
He begged you to teach him your kenjutsu techniques that you’ve learnt from humans. In a way, you liked how he was super fun to be around with until he told everyone from the Shinto pantheon that you were his wife. It was supposed to be a secret to keep quiet. Amaterasu? You were certain she wanted to kill you. However, you were a female sword goddess like Susano’o except you weren’t for the seas and storms. You represented warm breezes and spring. They found you as the perfect match for him.
“Oh no, he’s gone somewhere again…” you mumbled looking ahead over the hill but Susano’o was already fighting in a new battle showing off his sword skills.
“You see that! It barely scratched me,” Susano’o was enthusiastic despite all the humans that watched him kill such a beast to save them. He was dressed and disguised differently when he was around them. You haven’t been a saviour to anyone unlike him. Your insecurities were eating at you more. Were you really supposed to be his wife? On a good note, he had no interest in other women or wanted to take on concubines or a second wife.
You two walked towards your small lodge home in the Honshu region. Susano’o always changes back to his normal form and appearance when he’s alone with you or those who were considered his family from the Shinto Temple. It’s very rare he would socialize with humans and it’s against the rules for you and him to actually talk to humans.
He was very affectionate, but mostly it’s him holding you in his lap and talking in your ear about his passions with the sword. You loved listening to him and falling asleep soundlessly on him. You always woke up being suffocated by his big arms holding you in place.
As the two of you returned, you turned to your loving husband and asked him the question that had been bothering you. “Susano’o-san, why did you ask me to be your wife? Am I really your type? Sometimes it feels like our personalities are different,” you felt a sting of embarrassment stir in your lower abdomen waiting for him to answer.
His face turned serious as he stopped what he was doing— sharpening his sword as soon as you two returned. His mouth gaped and you stood frozen a few feet away from him. “I never felt more like myself around someone who understands me. What’s better than not having the sword goddess with the sword god? So of course, you’re my type in every way possible!” One of his hands cupped one side of your cheek.
“What if I said no to your proposal?” You were acting innocent and he gave you a puzzled stare.
“I don’t think I would’ve taken no for an answer,” his response made your heart beat faster as he wrapped his arms around your body.
Loki
You loved him; everything about him. Even accepting his weird side. Was it normal? No. He used to tell you he had a massive crush on Brunhilde before you came along and cured him. Massive? Why would he tell you that? Loki normally wasn’t honest about such things regarding his feelings. You had wondered if he was toying with you once again.
You weren’t a goddess of trickery so you had no idea how you made him move on and treat you as his woman. You have always liked him since childhood. Yet, it turns out he had a thing for the Valkyrie woman and you never knew about it. A part of you was happy he had used you as a stepping stone to move on from Brunhilde— someone who would’ve never liked him back. You wanted to believe you weren’t a rebound, but the doubts were still there. He doesn’t mention her and only pays attention to you mostly.
He even gets jealous of other men who were guards of Asgard that compliment you. You wondered what made him like you. You weren’t anything like Brunhilde at all. She was brave and cold towards others. You were quiet, shy and very observant of your surroundings.
You were fixing up one of the gowns Loki had gotten you. It had a bad tear in it and you wanted to fix it up and wear it for him. You were using a sewing machine before Loki barged into your room. “Where were you? Thor said you didn’t appear at the main hall to greet some of our guests.” Loki saw you holding the gown in your hands. It was all torn up and you couldn’t even look him in the eyes.
“What happened? I’ll get you anoth— actually, I’ll fix it.” Loki started to feel bad that the gown he got you had a tear in it, and you didn’t make an appearance with him to the meeting with some important gods of the pantheon.
“One of the cats got spooked when I entered my room and had accidentally ripped the dress a bit that was hung up while running out of the room. I wanted to fix it and wear it… for you.” You couldn’t even look him in the eyes. Loki was embarrassed realizing he was the cat and fell speechless for a moment. Why did you want to fix such a thing that he found in the commoner’s section of the palace? He didn’t want to tell you that but a deep part of him felt saddened you were going through such lengths for this dress he got you.
“Why not wear something else?” He grabbed your hands but you shook your head. Loki was puzzled for a moment but he knew he wouldn’t be able to change your mind.
He grabbed one of the needles and attached the string to it. He was using magic to sew it up quicker than the machine.
“Done. Are you happy?”
“One more thing before I put it on and be yours for the night.” You nodded. Weren’t you already his? Loki had thought but didn’t say anything.
“Am I really your type? Like wouldn’t everyone there find me… too different to be with you?” You brought the dress up to your face to cover your embarrassment.
“I wouldn’t be going to such extreme lengths to keep you with me if I didn’t like you. I’d prefer you like this and not anything like me. Now, put this on and it’s not for one night. You mean more than that to me,” he lifted your chin up with his index finger.
You nodded gleefully and happy with his answer. You were certain he was telling the truth.
Qin Shi Huang
You were his empress, named and married to him. Despite his reluctance in wanting to marry anyone before he met you— a hard-headed woman who didn’t want any man to sway you. You fought against his army to survive. He was conquering lands and is the emperor and king of the Qin dynasty period of China.
You couldn’t tolerate him in the beginning. He liked ruling and ordering people around. However, you didn’t care who he was. Royal or commoner, everyone was the same to you. Zheng saw you as someone he wanted and desired. It felt impossible for him to obtain despite your reluctance and hard-headed nature.
“I heard you were giving the maids a bit of a hard time earlier,” Zheng walked into your shared room with a curious look on his face despite the blindfold. He was right but also had it wrong. You overheard them talking about how they wanted to be his mistress despite he was yours. It’s not uncommon for imperial rulers to have multiple wives, consorts or mistresses when the man is bored. You had torn down Zheng’s proposals to be his woman many times. He still never gave up but something in you snapped at those maids.
Chasing a man who is already married? How disrespectful. “Sorry for my behaviour, they said some things I didn’t like.” You muttered before turning your head away from him in embarrassment. You were trying to conceal your face from him.
“They upset you? Shall I have them punished—"
“N–No, not at all!” Your voice must’ve squeaked when he suggested punishment. Qin was oblivious to what others felt about him, but his eyes were only glued to you.
Qin walked towards you before forcing your face to look up to him. He took his blindfold off since you two were alone. He was going to speak once again to not let others get to you.
Your insecurities have been eating at you lately and you spoke before he did. “Zheng… am I really your type?” You were flustered but he was not.
“Ha, what? My type? What does that suppose to mean? I just like what I see and if I want something, I’ll do whatever in my power to achieve that. Is that a perfect answer for you, my empress?” He leaned in to call you his empress. Your heart must’ve jumped to your throat. You had no idea what to say to that. He wanted you for a long time and now he has you?
You were satisfied and sighed showing how weak you were in front of him. Only he was able to get you this flustered and feeling vulnerable around him. He loved it and loved making you a mess during private times.
Apollo
Being the wife of Apollo came with a lot of work. Previously you were just a lower-ranked deity of the Greek pantheon that served the Olympus Palace. Apollo didn’t care that much about your existence in the beginning, but it bothered him that you weren’t into him or swayed by his beauty. It dented his ego and turned him into someone who chased you and not the other way around.
Oh, how you miss the old days of being someone who wasn’t very important to anyone. You were quiet, shy and liked to read on your own without being bothered. You were a deity of knowledge and wisdom. You liked history and watching over humanity to learn about their existence. Your whole purpose was to learn and expand your knowledge. Why or how did Apollo come to like you? It was a mystery to you.
You hated the women he used to surround himself with constantly. Not because you were jealous, they were constantly fawning over him and melting in the halls in his presence. It made you uncomfortable how they talked about him a lot when all you cared about was the library and archives. You never cared about getting to know the other gods at the Olympus palace, but maybe because of how different you were made the sun god fall for you.
Apollo had followed you into the archives numerous times considering he was also the God of Philosophy and wanted to get to know the woman obsessed with knowledge. Was he that fascinated with you? He would comment about how your beauty exceeds others and had asked for your hand in marriage. You told him no unless you were the only one which you had hoped he’d leave and decline your request. However, he accepted it. Were you surprised? Yes. He had to give up some part of him just so he could have you to himself. He hasn’t touched any other woman other than you since.
This brought you to wonder why you? Were you his type? What even is his type? He always told others you were his wife. It’s been several years since then. You had lost count. He was busy with many things regarding the Greek pantheon. Whenever Zeus asked him to do something, he was quick to his feet to do it.
You loved him and it took time to realize it. Apollo was deeply in love with everything about you in the beginning. You were sitting alone while reading in the library thinking about your husband. “Why are you still here? It’s late.” You heard Apollo’s voice near the entrance of the room from behind. Oh, it was late? You didn’t say much but closed the book and smiled. Immediately Apollo knew something was wrong and walked over to you to see what you were doing. He picked up one of the books that were lying in front of you on your desk. Romance novels? You never read fiction. You always preferred research.
“I didn’t take you for being into this sort of thing?” he placed the book back down on the desk. You weren’t embarrassed in all honestly. He was someone that was easy to open up to.
“I’m just curious, humans that have written these books over the years must’ve experienced or strongly desire the connection with someone… am I someone you wanted that connection with? Sometimes I feel like… I’m not your type.” Your question made Apollo reach for your hands and hold them.
He hummed, “there’s no such thing as being my type. My type is someone who I deem worthy of my love. What a rhetorical thing to ask, but I can’t deny the connection I felt for you, in the beginning, was something more deep than a simple desire. Did I want you? You already know the answer to that but since you like the comfort of hearing it from me, then yes, I was very interested in you from the start.” His response had you feeling weak for him more.
“Let’s head to bed, or do you want me to keep you awake?” He leaned in your ear as one hand cupped your left cheek.
You weren’t going to get much sleep that night and you were right.

Things to be aware of: assumed unrequited love; Reader is a magic-wielding Avenger that trained in Kamar Taj after the events of Endgame
Tumblr media
It had been a while since you went to visit the town that was once known as Tonsberg, but even when Thor in his tragedy-driven downward spiral and Val were surrounded by wood and bricks and cobblestone still waiting to be put together and turned into a new home for the thousands of now homeless Asgardians, it didn't look this…desolate.
Charred wooden planks were dumped onto the middle of the street along with other torn and shredded belongings from the affected homes. The citizens, their soot-covered faces a mix of distraught and exhausted, gave you barely a passing glance even as they clocked your clean clothes, bag slung over your shoulder.
From what stories Thor and Loki shared before, Asgardians were notorious gossips. They seemed to always find a way to whisper amongst themselves when something intrigued them even in the slightest, no matter the circumstance.
Almost always, it seemed, as today felt like the exception to that rule. Their gazes were fixed to the ground, the eerie quiet buzzing of the town comprised of sniffles and shaky breaths. Sounds you were achingly familiar with, hearing them all around you when half the world turned to dust just over half a decade ago.
Sounds of people frantically trying to get hold of their families on the phone, bracing and fearing for the worst.
"Y/N?" Val's voice pierced through the quiet, all heads turning toward her and the whispering intrigue finally starting amongst the villagers.
Our King knows this stranger, they said. You paid them no mind as you walked toward her and let the warrior king pull you into an embrace. When her wince at the contact hit your ears, you grasped at her shoulders, looking her over frantically.
"What happened?"
"You know how it is, my friend. Stab wound, kidney puncture, same old song and --"
"Stab wound?!" you raised your voice to a near shriek, even more panicked over her nonchalant delivery. "Val, what. Happened."
"God killer," she sighed. "Well, he prefers to call himself a god butcher, wields the Necrosword hellbent on making sure that the gods no longer walk this or any other realm." She motioned toward the distraught citizens. "He took the children to lure Thor to him because he needed to summon the Bifrost. Poor oaf's there now all alone trying to rescue them."
"Wait where's there?"
"Thor has gone to the Gates of Eternity. The Bifrost is the key to unlock them and if he does, well…" She sliced her finger along her throat. "Goodbye, gods. Much as I wish to be there to aid him, he's quite determined to have me and Jane rest."
"Hold on, Jane's here? Where is she?"
Val pointed towards the hospital, already walking towards it. "We've much to catch up on, little witchy." Just as she looped her arm through yours, there was a loud bang that came from the hospital, and you saw a blonde woman dressed like Thor flying up into the sky on the back of Warsong with Mjolnir in hand. "Oh no…"
"Is that--?"
"Jane? Yes." Your heart caught in your throat as you saw the tears forming in the warrior's eyes as she told you of Jane's diagnosis. How Mjolnir grants her health and vitality when she wields the hammer, but at the cost of her mortality. "She's gone to fight alongside Thor. Quite certainly to die in battle, too."
Every thought in your head screamed the same thing. "I have to stop her. I've gotta get to Eternity."
After reassuring her that you had sufficient enough means and magic to find your way, Val told you where to find the gates.
At the center of the universe, she said. But that it might be a more accurate shot for the sling ring you had on hand if you focused on Thor instead.
Right before you began to conjure the portal to bring you to your friend, the weakened warrior held your forearm firmly. Desperately. "Please don't die," she pled faintly, already misty eyed just saying the words. "Beat Gorr to Eternity, and keep him from making his wish."
Stepping through the circular glowing portal brought you to an elaborate temple made of what seemed like some celestial-grade stone. The entire place was aglow with lightning striking from multiple places at once, and in front of you was Stormbreaker summoning the Bifrost, seeming to power up a portal to what you could only guess was the Eternity that Val mentioned.
A visibly weakened Jane summoned a lightning strike that hit Gorr's weapon dead on, crumbling what remained of the sword into dust right before she began to collapse to the ground. You took the god butcher's slow triumphant walk to the gate as your cue.
"And who might you be?" he said, pausing to look you head to toe, assessing your power. "You are no god, but you're not entirely mortal, either."
"Hello, Gorr," you said with a sly grin, grabbing a hold of him and throwing him yards away from the gate with your magic. "Goodbye, Gorr."
"Y/N?" you heard Thor weakly mumble your name, relieved when he saw you walking backwards toward the blindingly glowing archway that opened up.
The last thing you heard before you all were transported to a vast white expanse was Gorr's defeated outcry of "Noooo!"
"Make your wish, sorceress," a voice spoke in your mind. When you turned to face the source, all you saw was a skyscraper of a silhouette…consisting of an endless sea of galaxies and stars. "Whatever you desire can and shall be so. Name it. And it shall be yours."
Those words brought you to your knees, the gravity of your situation weighing down on you like a cartoon anvil just dead dropped onto your shoulders. Agonizing memories of the loss and heartache you'd experienced and witnessed in the last few years alone, all the grief you kept bottled up inside, coming at you all at once.
From coming back to the Compound after the Time Heist, only to discover that you were all one Avenger short. Finding out that Nat sacrificed herself so the rest of you could have the Soul Stone.
To the loss of Tony and having to be there to hold Morgan as she cried and thrashed, calling out for her father after the defeat of Thanos and his army. And the loss of Steve shortly after that, realizing the super soldier chose to stay in the past and resume what he believed should have been his life with Peggy Carter. Then Bucky's subsequent pulling away from the team after that.
Losing Wanda, and the look on her face when you stood against her during the fight at Kamar Taj. Only hearing about it in the hours following the wreckage of the temple, and Wong's return, that your friend had perished by her own hand in Wundagore. That in her final moments, she was all alone, believing that this was the only way to ensure the safety of this and all other universes from the dark magic she held.
And then there was the loss that started it all for you, the one that had you slowly but steadily pulling away since the fight at Wakanda. Loki. Seeing his brother come in to the battlefield fueled by rage, and hearing his voice devoid of any strength as he told you about the god of mischief's fate when Thanos seized their ship to relieve them of the Tesseract.
All those words that you held back on saying for fear of having them thrown back in your face with a derisive laugh…they felt like lead in the back of your throat as soon as Thor had told you the news. And you beat yourself up for being so scared and childish to hide it all away like a schoolgirl with a crush. The loss of him, even though he wasn't yours to lose, numbed you. And you swore to never love again.
Love only ever got you hurt.
But looking back at the blond Asgardian, holding the frail body of his love in his arms…you knew that he wouldn't survive if he had to suffer another great loss. If he had to lose Jane. You knew that there were people that you cared about back on Earth that were still grieving and picking up the pieces of their lives.
And you had the opportunity to relieve them of that grief. To spare them the numbness that that same loss had dealt you.
"Look in my heart," you whispered to the entity. "You know what I want."
"It shall be yours, sorceress. Live well," were the last words you heard before Jane's sharp inhale. Like her lungs were near empty and she was gulping in air.
When you looked back at them, she'd visibly regained color, near identical smiles of wonder and relief on her and Thor's faces. Even from this far away, you could sense it. Whatever sickness plagued her body was gone. Every trace of it.
"You--?" Thor asked, pointing a finger toward you as you approached them.
"Guess so," you answered him with a little shrug. "How you feeling, Doctor Foster?"
"Like I could wrestle a horse," she told you with a big grin. "Thank you."
Before you could conjure up another portal to bring you all home, more voices emerged from behind the entity.
"Y/N?"
"Sparky?"
"Lady Y/N?"
Natasha. Tony. Heimdall.
"My friend, what did you wish for?"
You looked back at the bewildered god, grasping his best friend's shoulders and trying to adjust to the new reality that he had returned. "I honestly don't know, I just said that Eternity should know what I want and--"
"Brother?"
The air left your lungs at the sound of the new voice. The voice you'd missed hearing for the better part of the last decade. Your heart beat erratically in your chest watching Loki emerge from behind Eternity and walk toward all of you, already holding his hands up in caution upon seeing Nat and Tony. "I swear I have no intention of harming--"
"We know, Reindeer Games," Stark said, holding his hand out toward the god. "Thor told us all about what you did. You're alright by my book as long as you don't try and raise another ugly ass alien army to take over the world."
Before he could say anything in return, Thor pulled his brother into a tight embrace. "It's good to see you, too, Brother," he said in a strained voice. "But how am I here?"
"Y/N reached Eternity. And she made a wish," Jane answered him, also holding her hands up. "No slaps this time, I promise."
"Y/N?" he said your name breathlessly, nudging his brother out of the way and looking around until his eyes met yours. You did your best not to fidget or pick at your clothes as he made his way over to you, trying to swallow down the lump in your throat when he framed your face with his hands.
"Hiya, Mischief," you mumbled, seeing Tony and Nat give each other a look from the corner of your eye as they slowly backed away, choosing instead to reunite and get up to speed with the other Asgardian.
"This was your doing?" The way his thumbs stroked at your cheeks had you unable to form words, only managing a meek little nod.
"Not bad for a stupid little--" The rest of your words died in a squeak at the back of your throat, cut off by the god pressing his lips to yours.
"Sweet precious mortal," he sighed against your lips. "There are many words I could use to describe you, and 'stupid' will never be one of them."
Before he could kiss you again, you heard multiple people clear their throats, your friends looking at the two of you with knowing and teasing smirks. "Perhaps we should make our way home first, Brother?"
Loki brushed the tip of his nose against yours before threading his fingers between yours, jutting his chin at the lightning bolt in his brother's hand. "Zeus?"
"Long story," he answered simply.
"He stabbed Zeus and stole it," Jane said in a stage whisper.
"Perhaps not such a long story after all," Thor said, chuckling as he held on to his girlfriend's hand, the astrophysicist summoning Mjolnir with her other hand.
"That's a long story even I don't know yet," you told Loki when he squeezed your hand lightly and tilted his head at the couple, Jane now sporting that near-identical armor and crimson cape that the blond god wore.
"Everybody hold on," Thor called out to you all, a large ball made of yellow lightning materializing all around you and spinning at a furiously fast pace. You blinked once, and when you opened your eyes again, you were in the same ruins of New Asgard that you walked through just earlier today.
Val was already there walking toward you all with a relieved look on her face that morphed into confusion when she saw Tony…and then Loki. "I take it Y/N beat the butcher to Eternity?" You all just nodded at her. "Well then, welcome back, all of you." Then she pulled Jane into a hug, playfully pushing Thor away. "I'm so glad you're alive." The king looked up, eyes meeting yours before she mouthing the words, 'Thank you.'
"We were lucky Y/N got there when she did," Thor told her. "What did bring you to New Asgard, my friend? It has been ages since last we spoke."
"I lost Wanda," you sighed, a lump forming in your throat again just saying the words. "And losing her made me realize I've been a shit friend to--well, everyone. Ever since…" You caught yourself before the rest of that sentence came out.
Ever since you told me Loki died, you finished quietly in your mind.
"Ever since Wakanda…the snap…" you told them out loud. You tried to shrug it all off, only to realize that Loki still held your hand in his. "Speaking of that stupid purple ballsacked chin little bitch…I should be getting you two back to New York," you addressed Tony and Nat. "There's at least three people whose worlds are about to turn for the better knowing you're back."
Tumblr media
A/N: Okay so I fully intended to lay low and take my time normalizing after the complete insanity that October dealt me on a personal level, but then I rewatched Love and Thunder because I was in need of a comfort watch and I said "I don't like that ending, not one bit…lemme fix it". And slowly but surely the writer brain started its lil awkward shuffle back into the chat 😅
RTC and 'the final Lady Sharpe' are still at the top of the todo pile, and I'm still scared to touch them but I might work at it bit by bit, we'll see. And also this will have a part 2…because yes they might have kissed and they're holding hands but dammit they need to talk 🫠

Buddha hitting on Loki's daughter is what I'm c r a v i n g right now-
☺ a n o n
-Loki was a prankster and did what he wanted, but there was one thing in his life that he was serious about- you, his lovely, darling daughter, the light of his life and his reason for living!
-Loki knew that you could take care of yourself, you were a powerful warrior, being trained by not only him but Odin, Thor, and many of the Valkyries as well, as he wanted his baby to always be safe if he wasn’t around to keep you safe.
-He adored having a daughter, playing dress up with you, teaching you how to be treated by others, and being the one you wanted to marry when you grew up- you said so yourself when you were four!!
-However, as you grew into a stunning beauty, Loki learned the hard way about the downsides of having a pretty daughter, seeing the boys looking at you, wanting to chat you up, wanting to steal you away from him! HELL NO!!
-It was fast news that traveled throughout Valhalla that Loki was quite protective of you, which was amusing to some, as he didn’t want you to be taken away by anyone that he deemed unworthy- and in his eyes nobody would ever be good enough for you!
-However, that didn’t stop many of your suitors from trying to approach you, wanting to date you, some even being stupid brave enough to approach your over-protective papa to ask for your hand in marriage.
-As you got older, it was getting annoying for you, as you wanted to go on dates and have a boyfriend like so many of your friends did, as you wanted to experience what they had!
-You loved your papa, but you knew that it was time for you to spread your wings and experience things for yourself without Loki being there to protect you.
-Loki knew that this day was coming and while he was dreading it, he knew that you were right, that you needed to step away and experience life, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t follow you in secret and keep you safe from the shadows!!!
-You knew he was there, having a hard time letting go, but you said nothing, letting him adjust in his own time with this situation.
-You knew how to be treated by others, especially men, so you didn’t allow anyone to disrespect you or try to put you down in any way, calling them out and even fighting a few of them, which Loki cried over, videotaping you from around the corner, proud of you.
-Things took a turn when Buddha, one of your best friends and one who loved to torment Loki, saw Loki following you, decided to tease the Norse god a bit, coming over and taking your hand in his, pecking the back of it, giving you a flirty wink as he chatted you up.
-Loki was clutching the brick wall as he was peeking around the corner, shattering the bricks under his grip as his teeth ground together, fire in his eyes as he glared, seeing Buddha of all people flirting with you!!
-You knew what Buddha was doing, and you pinched his cheek lightly, “Stop teasing my papa!” but Buddha made things worse as he cupped your hand over his cheek, creating an intimate moment, declaring his love for you as he leaned in, looking like he was going for a kiss.
-“GET AWAY FROM Y/N!!!” you sighed as Buddha pulled back, slipping a lollipop into your hand as he pulled away, dodging Loki, teasing him even more, “You can’t get in the way of our love Loki! We’re going to run away together and start our own family!!”
-You rolled your eyes as Loki charged in with his weapons, making an unholy screeching sound, determined to take Buddha’s head from his shoulders for being so intimate with you.
-You were curious, as you unwrapped your lollipop, putting it in your mouth, as to how Loki was going to react when you brought your real boyfriend home, as right at the moment, only Buddha and you knew who it was and you had to wonder what was going to happen when he found out.

A/N: Hello! Enjoy this festive oneshot that I wrote as a gift for @smolvenger for this Secret Santa event facilitated by @fictive-sl0th. I took inspiration from a request submitted by @smolvenger and also from the Old Norse jól (pronounced yule), a midwinter festival which celebrated the passing of the longest days of winter, and fertility in the coming year. Happy Holidays!
Genre/Warnings: Arranged marriage, mild angst in the beginning (with a happy ending, I promise!), hurt/comfort, fluff, thirst, pining, smutty thoughts, language

Three damn days.
That’s it. That’s all the time you had to pull yourself together.
To clean up the mess that you’d become these past weeks and be what the people of Asgard expected you to be. Needed you to be.
The shining star of the upcoming jól feast. You were to be the gem of the midwinter celebration as their newest princess.
That is, after all, what you were. You were married into the Asgardian royal family just over a month ago, joined in holy matrimony with Odin’s youngest son. The dark prince. Loki. A man — no, a god — that, for centuries now, had maidens everywhere falling over themselves just for the chance to spend a night warming his bed. How lucky you were to be his wife, right?
Though it wasn’t exactly a love match. Your marriage had been arranged by those that claimed more of a say in your lives than either of you did. Loki’s father and your own had devised a scheme — years in the making — in which you’d become Loki’s wife to strengthen the alliance between Asgard and your home realm, Vanaheim.
Yes, unfortunately, your love story felt less like a romance and more like a political drama.
It certainly didn't help that Loki has been cold and distant since the betrothal. He was always keeping to his own side of your shared living quarters, the physical walls between you serving as a constant reminder of the figurative one that loomed —towering and unsurmountable — between you. Short, clipped greetings are all that fell from his lips to welcome or acknowledge you when your paths did cross. Roommates with fancy titles... that's all you were. The dark, handsome prince, your husband, was never disrespectful — far from it, actually — but he never showed any true interest in you beyond what has been required during public appearances.
You couldn't blame him, not really. This couldn't possibly be what he had hoped for, when he would daydream about his own future. Trapped in a loveless marriage with you, likely feeling like little more than a pawn in his father's political chess games. No, it was no wonder why he kept his distance as much as the nature of your entanglement allowed.
There was a time, not so long ago, when you had allowed yourself to dream of a future where you sat beside Loki, as his wife. But not this way. Not like this.
Since childhood, you'd had a crush on the younger prince. Once you were old enough to accompany your father on his delegations to Asgard, where he'd speak on behalf of the Vanir at the council meetings, he was sure to bring you along. In hindsight, you realized, he only brought you with him so that you could become acquainted with Asgard before he secured your place there, within the royal court. But oh, how you looked forward to those trips! And a certain mischievous god was to blame...
Loki caught your eye the very first time you met him. How could he not? With those sharp cheekbones and chiseled jaw that you swore were sharp enough to slice through your dignity. The silky curtains of raven curls that framed his stupidly handsome face, always looking absolutely perfect, no matter how unkempt and mussed they were. Then there were his eyes, glistening like two polished emeralds against the alabaster planes of his face. You had frequently wondered what it might be like to lock eyes with him during the throes of a passionate night of lovemaking... meeting his gaze as you're writhing in the sheets underneath his lean, sculpted body, appreciating the length of him — of his neck, his limbs, his cock as he buries himself inside you.
Perhaps it was foolish, but you spent those years pining for him from afar, dreaming of what could possibly be someday. Sure, you spent time with him during your visits, enjoying strolls together through the gardens or his personal library, sharing details of your lives and bonding over your joint love of books. He definitely wasn't a stranger to you. In fact, you’d say you knew him well. But you never made your romantic feelings for him known; you never hinted at the desire that scorched through your veins like an untamed fire every time he was near.
You'd tell him someday, you'd tell yourself. You would tell Loki your feelings and with any luck he'd be yours... and it was that thought, that hope, that fueled your daydreams and pushed you through until your next visit to Asgard.
But before you ever got the chance to share the true nature of your feelings with Loki, you were both called into the throne room where your fathers informed you of the arrangements that had been made. You were to be married. In three fortnights.
And your dreams of a fairytale romance with the handsome prince were thwarted in an instant. You wanted him, but not like this. You wanted something real... you wanted Loki to want you.
Now you were homesick and, during a time when you should be feeling surrounded by love and holiday cheer, you had never felt more alone.
Jól was in three days. And the midwinter festival was supposed to be magnificent — a giant feast honoring the gods Odin and Freyr and celebrating a hope for peace, sunshine, and fertility in the coming year. Your place of honor at the celebrations was especially anticipated, not only because you were Asgard's newest princess, but because you were from Vanaheim — you were Vanir, same as Freyr. And, you were one of his descendants; his granddaughter, in fact. Yes — Loki was Odin’s son and you were Freyr’s granddaughter. Your union was a jóltide dream. The people of Asgard were abuzz with excitement, chattering about how special this year’s festivities would be… thanks to you.
You and Loki had been seen in public before, of course. You had endured your wedding and the celebrations that followed and managed fairly well. But that was a formal affair; beyond a few pecks on the lips throughout the day's festivities, you could go through the motions with little more than the occasional formal dance required, as far as physical contact.
The expectations at the jól festival were entirely different. It was to be a wild and sensual affair, with you and Loki performing a dance as the centerpiece of the fertility celebrations. This dance... the sensuality was not something that could easily be fabricated. You couldn't just go through the motions. The two of you would be chest to chest, eyes locked in a passionate stare, hands roaming and exploring each other's bodies. Your performance was meant to inspire not only yourselves, but all in attendance to go forth from the feast and be fruitful.
The thought twisted your stomach in knots and made your heart ache. How were you supposed to make it convincing? And if you did give in to the burning desire you had for Loki to put on the show that the people of Asgard were expecting, how were you supposed to protect your heart? Knowing that it wasn't the same for Loki; it wasn't real for him, too...
You had been training for this dance with an instructor for two weeks now, learning the basic steps. Having grown up in the royal court here, Loki was already familiar with the dance, so he didn't require the same training. But now it was time for rehearsals to begin. With only three days until the festival, you had to practice the dance with your actual performance partner... with Loki. You had to get a feel for each other during the dance; see where it felt natural to add in those caresses of your nose on his cheek, his fans of hot breath on your neck, the wandering touches on each other's bodies that linger just a whisper too long...
And your first rehearsal was in two hours.
You needed to get some air.
As you step outside, the frigid air engulfs you and steals your breath away. It’s a welcome feeling — a cleansing feeling. And it’s exactly what you need to clear your head and collect yourself before this dreaded rehearsal. You make a beeline for the palace gardens without much of a thought, your usual walking route essentially muscle memory at this point.
Your footsteps were nearly silent on the fresh-fallen snow that blanketed the path beneath your feet as you strolled throughout the garden, admiring the pops of color provided by the hardy winter flowers and berries that were currently growing there. As you approached the crocuses, you stopped to appreciate their bright purple blooms and the way the snow clung to the delicate petals.
Despite the harshness of the current environment, the flowers were thriving, refusing to let the cold and the ice dampen their beauty and light. A single tear rolled down your cheek as you resolved to do the same. You wouldn’t let your situation dampen your own light any longer.
“Darling…?” A familiar voice sounded from just behind you, seemingly out of nowhere. The snow must have muffled the sound of Loki’s approach.
What was he doing here?
“Oh, hello, Loki! You startled me; I didn’t expect to run into you out here.”
You quickly made to wipe the tear from your cheek as you turned to face him, but you weren’t quite fast enough; nothing got past Loki’s sharp gaze.
“So sorry to alarm you, I just came to the garden for some calm and quiet. The bustling in the palace as everyone prepares for the festival can get overwhelming.” He paused for just a moment, his brow creasing ever so slightly as if considering whether to continue before asking, “Is there anything troubling you, Y/N?”
Yes. So many things, you have no idea.
“I’m alright, Loki. I… I think the frigid air is just making my eyes water.” You managed a weak smile as you lied to your husband.
His eyes softened at your words; they beheld more warmth than you’d seen from him since before your forced betrothal.
“You know, Y/N… I know this hasn’t been easy. On either of us. But it doesn’t have to be this way between us forever. You don’t have to hide your feelings from me just because you don’t… just because we’re not…”
He struggled to find the right words to finish the sentence, but the implication was a shard of ice to your heart.
“What I’m trying to say is that you can talk to me. Ours may not be a marriage of love, but it still is a partnership. I can tell that something is wrong, that something has been wrong since our fathers broke the news of our arrangement to us. It was like, at that very moment, the light inside you was snuffed out. The woman that walked out of the throne room that day was not the same woman that entered. You’ve been a shell of yourself ever since you learned that you’d been sentenced to spend your life with me. And I’ve tried to give you space… to give you time. I didn’t want to pressure you, or suffocate you, so I’ve kept my distance. Waiting for you to be ready to speak to me again; perhaps even to spend time together again, enjoying our shared interests. But it has been more than 10 weeks now and I don’t think I can wait any longer, darling. Talk to me, please. I… I miss what we were before that day in the throne room.”
You blinked at him, flabbergasted. At a loss for words.
Set aside the sheer wonder of the sight before you: the tall frame, hung with lean muscles that strained against the fabric of the emerald tunic he was wearing. A note of gratitude crossed your mind that his Jotun ancestry allowed him to forgo any bulky outerwear to protect him from the elements, so you could enjoy this view, unobstructed. Even the way the snow clung to his dark, luscious locks and reflected the garden lights like a glittering crown had him looking every bit the winter king.
This man — this god — missed you. He mistook your heartbreak for… disgust.
As if you could ever find any part of him disgusting.
“Loki, I…” Your eyes darted frantically, looking everywhere but at him. Searching the winter blooms, the snow-covered tree branches, the festive garden decorations for a sign… for a whisper of encouragement. A murmur of reassurance. Was this it? Was this your moment?
When you finally met his gaze again, you saw nothing there but patience. Kindness. But also… longing?
“I love you.” You blurted it out, pushing the words from your lips before you could change your mind.
Your heart was pounding loudly in your ears; you actually said it. Nervousness enveloped your body like fresh steam, causing you to sweat despite the cold temperature.
“You…what?”
To say he was taken aback would be an understatement. It was clearly the last thing he expected you to say.
“I love you, Loki. I have for a while now.”
“Then why —?”
“Because I was heartbroken. Shattered. You’re right, Loki, the light inside me was snuffed out that day. Extinguished in an instant. But not because I was appalled or disgusted at the thought of spending forever with you. On the contrary, I had been dreaming of that very notion for years…”
You saw his eyes widen and his breath hitch before you continued.
“The light went out because I lost the hope that carried me forward; I never got to tell you how I truly felt about you — how much I cared about you…how much I wanted you.”
His eyes darkened almost imperceptibly at hearing you confess your desire for him.
You swallowed your own budding lust and pushed forward. “And so the delicate and, perhaps, foolish hope that we might have something real someday crumbled. Then, when I saw how much you withdrew from me, I… I was sure you had no interest in me. And that broke my heart even further, Loki, to know that you didn’t feel the same way about me and yet, we were trapped together in this marriage. I’ve never felt more alone than I have these past 10 weeks.”
“Darling…” he sighed as he closed the distance between you, reaching out his fingertips to softly caress the side of your face before brushing them under your chin and tilting your head back, forcing you to meet his gaze.
The small gesture stole your breath away. It was the first physical contact you had with Loki since the wedding, and certainly more intimate than any touches you had ever shared. This wasn’t a public appearance; there was no audience. There was only him. And you. And the hammering of your heart.
“It appears that we have both been foolish.” A smile slowly crept across his lips as he muttered, “a pair of hopeless, lovesick fools.”
By now the smile had wholly taken root and a full grin had bloomed on his face, casting a light there that you hadn’t seen in months.
Oh, how you missed that smile.
“Loki…” you gasped. “Are — are you saying what I think you’re saying?”
“I love you too, wife.”
You couldn’t think straight. You could barely breathe. You had to be dreaming.
Loki could tell that words were beyond you, so he just continued.
“I’ve adored you for years, Y/N. Admired you in secret like an adolescent with an unattainable crush. Because that’s what you were to me: unattainable.”
“Loki, you’re a prince, a literal god… you’ve had a horde of maidens throwing themselves at you for as long as I’ve known you. If one of us was unattainable, it was you.”
“They were only ever interested in my body, in my array of talents between the sheets.”
A warm flood of arousal washed over you, hearing him talk so casually about his own sexual prowess.
“But you, darling… you saw me. You showed interest in my mind, my ideas, my company. You asked me thoughtful questions and you actually listened when I would answer them. I was so convinced that I didn’t deserve someone like that. Someone like you. And so I kept my feelings hidden.”
“Well…” you began with a shy smirk, “I am interested in your body and your carnal talents too, you know.”
“And I don’t know if there’s anything that could delight me more than learning that about you tonight,” he said with a mischievous smile and lust-darkened eyes that lingered on your lips before darting back to your own hooded gaze.
“Kiss me, Loki, please…” you breathed.
Without hesitation, he leaned down toward you, brushing his lips against your own. Featherlight at first, but soon growing more assured and confident, claiming your lips as his. And you were more than willing to let him stake his claim.
When he finally broke the kiss, you opened your eyes to see him staring down at you reverently.
“I love you, my darling wife. And as long as my heart is beating, I promise you’ll never be alone; you’ll never feel alone again. Perhaps things in our relationship have occurred… somewhat out of the preferred order, but by some generous twist of the fates, we’ve been thrust into each other’s arms and allowed to spend the rest of our lives with our one true love.”
Your heart swelled as you stared up at him. You felt that light within you reignite, shining brighter than it ever had.
“I love you too, husband. With my whole heart.”
He bent down and claimed your mouth once again, his tongue sliding against your lips, which you happily parted to allow him entry. All of the love and desire that you’d both been harboring all these years was finally unleashed and it was conveyed in the intensity of your kiss, and in the way his hands now began to explore your body. At least, as best as they could, over the coat you were wearing.
Suddenly, you found yourself looking forward to rehearsal.
And to the jól festival.
And to the rest of your life with Loki.

Part of the Whore-O-Ween Spooktacular
The glow of the candlelight flickered. You stood to place another log on the fire. You were locked in your room for the third time this week. Since you had come of age, the young men of the village had taken notice of you.
Now you were twenty years old, and your family was desperate to marry you off. But you had gained a reputation among the village. You were to marry the innkeeper’s son, Jonathon. But his family broke the engagement once word got to them.
You had been seen with two men alone. This was all so silly. You had never even been kissed. You were saving everything for your husband, like any devout girl would.
Your father walked in, taking the wood from you, and placing it on the dying flames. “Daughter, you know there has been talk of your sins around the village. I cannot wed you to any of the young men. Even old Mr. Smith wouldn’t accept my offer for your hand.”
Your breakfast threatened to come back up at the mention of him. He was a strange, bald man who lived a few houses down. His wife had died of influenza years ago, and he never remarried.
“Harvey told me about a priest who takes in young girls who find themselves in trouble. He will pray over you and reform you until you are ready to come home. He lives two towns over. His name is Father Laufeyson. I sent him a letter asking him to take you. His reply came this morning, and he agreed. Pack your belongings. We will make the journey when the sun rises tomorrow.”
When you arrive, you notice Father Laufeyson’s house looks more like a castle from your storybooks than the cottages you were used to. That’s probably why it was tucked away far into the woods, away from the other houses.
Two people stood outside the large house waiting for you. One was Father Laufeyson. The first thing you notice is how handsome he is. You blush, God forgive me for thinking inappropriately, especially about a man of the cloth you silently pray.
The other was a tall brunette woman. She appeared to be a few years older than you. She beamed, walking toward you. She pulls you in for a hug, “I’m Esther.” You introduce yourself, returning the hug. She takes your hand, leading you into your new home.
That night at dinner, the three of you talked like old friends. You were starving, you notice Father Laufeyson doesn’t eat much. He just sips his red wine, listening to you and Esther chatter.
The following morning you change into your best church dress, meeting him and Esther downstairs. You and Esther take a seat in the front of the church. You look at the congregation, taking note that it’s mostly women. How unusual you thought.
Where were their husbands, brothers, and fathers? You shrug it off. Church was the only place a lady could go without the company of a man. You carefully watch Father Laufeyson as he begins the service.
There was something off about him, but you couldn’t place it. It could be that you were attracted to him. That had to be it. The priest in your village was old when you were born. You just weren’t used to priests being this young. After church, he took you and Esther on a picnic for lunch. You two ate the delicious sandwiches he prepared, but he refused saying he wasn’t hungry.
You had free reign of the house except for Father Laufeyson’s room. All three of you had rooms on the same floor. Yours and Esther’s were beside each other, making it easy for late night talks. His was down the hall.
It had been four weeks since you first arrived. You liked it better with each passing day. You could take walks along the property. You could read all day, if you liked. He had quite the extensive library.
You wake up in the middle of the night when you hear Esther cry out. You leave your room, candle in hand walking toward the noise. You stop at Father Laufeyson’s room. The door is ajar just enough to peek inside. You see Esther against the wall, head thrown back in ecstasy, legs wrapped around his waist. He thrusts up into her. You gasp, covering your mouth when he looks toward the door.
You know you should leave, but you stay glued to your spot, never taking your innocent eyes off of them. Esther moans when his hand moves between them under her dress. He gathers her hair off her neck, pale face leaning down toward her.
The candlelight in his room shines on his face, putting a spotlight on his long fangs sinking into the side of her neck. He feeds on her slowly as she slumps in his arms. You press your hand harder to your mouth to stifle your cries. Tears streak down your face as you run back to your room.
You had heard about vampires before. Your village and the surrounding ones were once overrun with them. The pale beasts were all destroyed. But here you are living with one who disguised himself as a man of God.
You keep replaying what you saw over and over. He bit Esther, but she seemed to be enjoying it. You feel an unfamiliar ache between your legs from thinking about it. You run your hand up your thigh to your core. You were most likely going to die by the hands of the handsome vampire. You might as well experience a little pleasure before you do. You would beg for God’s forgiveness later. Your fingers swipe through your untouched folds, taking the slick arousal to your clit.
You move clumsily, hesitating at first. Then you imagine Father Laufeyson holding you against that wall, his teeth on your neck. You shake as your very first orgasm hits you. The following morning, it’s just you and the fake priest. “Father, where is Esther? Is she unwell?” You ask him, studying his face for a change in demeanor.
“She’s well. Her family came back for her before daylight. She went to your room to tell you goodbye, but you were sleeping so soundly, she didn’t want to wake you.” You put on your best fake smile. Esther was dead, and the beast before you killed her. You tried to avoid him as much as possible in the following days.
But you had to dine with him, even if he didn’t eat. You still had to attend church with him. Other than that, you stayed hidden in your room. You were terrified of him, but that didn’t stop you from fantasizing about him. You spent your nights with your hand under your nightgown or humping your pillow thinking of him.
It was shameful, but you couldn’t stop. You felt so guilty after making yourself cum twice in one night, you got down on your knees, praying for forgiveness, begging for it. That night, you dreamt that you drove a stake through his heart, ending this misery. You took it as a sign from God. This is what you were meant to do.
Father Laufeyson took you into town. You waited until he went into the store, and you walked to the woodworker’s shop. You commissioned an oak stake. They looked at you like you had lost your mind. They told you the last of the vampires had been destroyed long ago. But the coins Laufeyson gave you put food on the table for their families.
You had to wait three long weeks before he took you into town again. When you got the chance, you went to retrieve the weapon. That night, you decided it was time. You couldn’t live with him anymore, not after knowing what he is. You had to fulfill your purpose. You knew he was at the church preparing his sermon for the next morning. You ran the whole way there, heart racing.
You stepped inside cautiously, trying to ignore the chill of the air telling you to turn back around, to run away. But you couldn’t. Your feet carried you forward, surprisingly confident, unlike yourself. Confidence, that’s what you needed, what you tried to embody, that was your protection against the pale beast.
You flinched as a jolt of lightning shone through the church, lighting everything in a quick spark of chrome before you were in darkness again, except for a few candles. You knew you had to act as if nothing was wrong, as if you didn’t know. Survival was only guaranteed that way.
“Y/N.” You took a deep breath hearing your name fall from his lips in a honeyed utterance. “Father.” You greeted him, the faux priest, as you stepped towards him. “Come, child.” He gestured to the organ, prompting you to follow him. “Sit.” You fought to keep your breathing steady as you approached him, biting your lip to stop it from trembling as you observed him.
You were told that his kind would perish in a place like this, that they would burn. But here he was making a mockery of God, wearing an idle collar and parading around untouchable. But not after tonight. Many times, you had shared this seat with him, ignoring the cold that his presence brought, ignoring the call to sin when he looked at you, emerald green eyes boring into yours.
Tonight was different, you couldn’t relax. “What ails you?” He questioned, lifting his hand and stroking a key with one of his dexterous fingers. “I believe I may have found my calling.” You answered, taking a deep breath as you raised one of your fingers onto the keys. “Your calling” He repeated almost questioningly. “Other than to serve your god?” My God?” “God.” He corrected. “Yes, I believe he has asked me to serve Him in another way.” You continued, both of you gently playing a familiar tune.
“Pray tell, what is this other way? What is this newfound calling?” “I must protect this Earth.” You stated, using your free hand to clutch the weapon in your pocket. “From what?” He questioned, turning to look at you with a small smirk. “From me?” “What?” You gasped, trying to keep your breaths even. “Do you really think a piece of oak would be enough to stop me?” He snickered.
“I mean honestly” He continued, leaning towards you, his mouth dangerously close to your neck as you froze. “You underestimate me.” He noted coyly, reaching around you, grabbing the cross stake from your other hand. “No!” You cry, still frozen in fear as he threw it across the room. “On the contrary, I do believe you have another calling.” He stated, standing before stepping behind you.
“A more carnal one.” He continued; his voice sharp in your ear as he leaned over you. “I mean you serve a man no more virtuous than yourself” He paused as you gasped. “I’ve read the books.” He cut you off. “You serve a man no more virtuous than yourself, yet you reap no rewards.”
“I will be rewarded with an eternity in His kingdom.” You spat. “How about a night in mine?” He smirked against your ear, causing you to spin around. “You’d never admit it, but you’ve sinned more than me.” “Don’t you dare say that!” “You think I don’t know you touch yourself thinking about me, yearning for me, even after you found out exactly who I am, what I am?”
“S-stop.” You stuttered. “Grinding against your pillow, moaning my name. Oh! It’s music to my ears.” He cheered. “I’m offering you a night of sin, a night with me.” He proclaimed. “I won’t judge you. I welcome your debauchery. I’ll cherish your moans. I’ll reward your praise.” “St-stop it.” You continued to stutter, clenching your thighs together.
“Burn with me, Y/N, just for tonight.” He whispered, leaning closer to you, his lips brushing against yours as you close your eyes. “I’ve never been touched.” You emitted nervously; eyes still closed. “I know, but you want to be. It’s what you have spent so long desiring.” He spoke against your lips, one of his hands ghosting down your body as your breath hitched.
He didn’t have to push your legs apart; they were already gapped from your quick spin around. You inhaled sharply as you felt him cup your sex, eyes opening to find him staring into yours. “Is this where you touch yourself when you think about me?” He smirked, his hand moving up and down, massaging against your clothed heat.
“Rubbing yourself, imagining me, my hand, my body until you reach there, that sweet release.” He almost cooed, his hand more pressured now. You tried to stave away the temptation of bucking your hips into his touch, but it was hard. It felt too good. You wanted more. You needed more. You needed him to do what he did to Esther. “Tell me what you desire, and I’ll do it.” “Take it.” You answered almost breathlessly. “It?”
“My purity, take it.” “That’s my girl.” He purred in your ear again, before his free hand gripped your chin, pulling you into a deep kiss. His tongue pushed passed yours, exploring your mouth. His other hand was still between your legs, your hips thrusting into his touch.
Now that his lips were properly on yours, you realized how cold they were, how gelid. Your hands reached upwards, cupping his cheeks which were no warmer than his lips. You tried to stay silent, but you couldn’t, not when you felt his hand slipping underneath your skirt, fingers smoothing over the cloth material of your panties.
“Father!” You gasped as two of his fingers pushed your underwear to the side, meeting your clit. “Loki.” He corrected. “Loki” you moaned, eyes closing as he drew languid circles over your clit. “You virgins are so receptive.” He sniggered. “You’re already so wet for me.” His name fell from your lips again as he continued his movements, his fingers growing slick from your arousal. Lost in the pleasure, you almost didn’t realize that his fingers were venturing lower down your center.
Your eyes flew open, feeling him enter you slowly. “L-Loki” You stuttered feeling full. “Do you like that?” He asked, leisurely pumping his fingers in and out of you. “Yesss” You hum in response, drowning in the sensation. You felt overwhelmed, you were wetter than you’ve ever been.
Small moans escaped you as Loki continued thrusting his fingers inside of you. A metallic scent evaded your nose. As if he could smell it too, Loki stopped his movements causing you to open your eyes, only for them to round in surprise at the sight of his fingers. They were practically glistening crimson. You barely had time to react before Loki was bringing them to his lips, licking off the blood.
“What’s happening?” You panicked, despite not being in any pain. “It’s normal.” Loki answered, releasing his index finger with a pop. The remembrance of what he was overcame you as a blanket of guilt shrouded you. You didn’t feel good anymore. Before Loki could continue, you began closing your legs wanting to leave. You wanted to forget about all of this, but instead you yelped, feeling him grab one of your legs and pushing them further apart as he got to his knees. He slid your panties off your legs, discarding them on the floor.
“One can’t prepare a feast and expect others not to dine.” He spoke cryptically before you felt his cold, wet tongue against your core lapping up the blood dripping from you. Your hands flew to his hair, gripping it tightly as he entered you with his tongue, washing any hesitation away. You couldn’t help but scream in pleasure at the feeling of his nose rubbing your clit as he feasted on you.
“Delicious.” He spoke against you as you shamelessly ground your hips against his face. You were overcome with delectation despite the fact that this was more than just a carnal encounter. “I need you, Loki.” You finally implored, interrupting Loki’s banquet. Glancing up at you, he lifted his head from between your legs, licking his lips clean as he lowered your leg. His hand found yours as he prompted you to join him on the floor.
You did so, wordlessly straddling him like you imagined so many nights alone with your pillow. He felt good underneath you, like it was where he belonged. Your bare sex rubbed against his clothes as you readjusted yourself, Loki looking up into your eyes. “Is this how you want me to take you?” He spoke, breaking the silence. “Yes.” You replied, trying to quell your nervousness. Loki didn’t talk as he unsheathed himself before guiding you above his manhood.
He watched your expression as he thrusted up into you, his hands on your hips pushing you down against him. You couldn’t help your moans as he filled you, burying himself inside you. You move your hips against his, living out your fantasy. You found yourself growing closer to the end, to your release, to his demise. He was obviously moving slower for you, you had watched him move a lot faster for Esther, and for that you’d make sure you were as quick as you could be.
Leaning down against him, your lips almost brushed his again as you reached out, your fingers wrapping around the discarded stake. Loki was right, it was oak. Well, most of it. What he didn’t know was that the tip was willow, lethal. “You feel so good, so pure.” Loki groaned from beneath you, gripping your hips tightly as you sat back up.
His eyes were closed, that’s how he didn’t see it, how he didn’t know he was in danger. You continued grinding your hips against his, your clit rubbing against his pelvis as you neared your climax. Walls tightly gripping Loki’s length, you raise your hand before plunging the stake into his chest.
Loki’s eyes flew open, the betrayal evident on his features as his life slipped away. You felt powerful, immensely so, as you took his life, draining him, milking him. You moaned as your climax shook you. This was it; this was your calling.

Masterlist °☆• Loki Masterlist
Tumblr media
Time was passing fast - as fast as it could tick by while being 'stuck' at the TVA.
A lot had happened.
Mobius and Loki became best friends, first and foremost. They learned to trust each other and how to work together. Ravonna Renslayer disappeared - only the Norns knew where to, and the 'Time Keepers' had been overthrown and were now replaced by a council - for which everybody who wanted could vote. All of the workers knew now, that they were variants. It was chaotic and messy at first, but Loki and Mobius offered them to get their memories back - which took an awful lot of time, but it was worth it. Friends found each other again, just like family members, couples, classmates - hel, even neighbours.
It was part of the compromise.
For the safety of the time line everybody must stay at the TVA. Time lines still had to be reset, because everybody realised that there were only two ways... Strict order or complete chaos. Sure, it was cruel and unfair, but life just wasn't.
Unlike before, though, variants didn't get pruned as before. They got a thoroughly detailed explanation what was happening and how thinks worked here. They got offered a job. A home to stay. A chance to reunite with other variants they might know. A new life.
And the concept worked.
Tumblr media
"Are you still thinking about her?" Mobius' voice urged to Loki's ears, as they sat across from each other in their lunch break; eating a slice of cake for dessert. Well... Mobius ate it. Loki was more or less absent-mindedly poking around with a fork in the poor deliciousness. At Mobius' words, though, he stopped and looked up; being snapped out of his thoughts.
The god sighed; "I think about her every day, Mobius." shaking his head. "I can't forget. Neither the memories, nor what could've been. And especially not Y/N." Like so often, when Loki's brain put him through the torturous memories of what had happend quite a while ago, here, in the TVA, as Mobius threw him inside his very own sweet, cruel dream, tears started to form in his eyes.
Mobius' eyes softened. He felt for his friend and was truly sorry about this tragedy. "I know you can't - and I'm so sorry. I was the one who put you through this." Once again, Loki shook his head. "You couldn't know. Stop blaming yourself." "Says you."
That caused the faintest of smiles to dart over the god's face. It didn't last, though.
"Sometimes I wish I could forget, you know. Get rid of all the heartache and pain. Stop getting tortured, but..." He swallowed hard; trying to hold back the tears. "All I have left of her are my memories." In vain. A single tear was running down his cheek and dripping onto the wooden surface of the table. "But I'd rather die than losing my memories of Y/N. It's a curse. A doom loop."
Mobius sighed. "I wish I could help you... Bring her somehow to you, but... I can't." "I know, Mobius... I know..." Silence spread between the two men, but before Loki could fall deeper into the dark hole which was his own mind, the agent decided to get him - like so often out of it.
"Come on," he said; standing up. "Let's keep on working. Still got a lot to do." Loki agreed and stood up as well. They both cleaned up their place and left the cafeteria, in order to keep on working.
Tumblr media
"I see you tomorrow." Loki nodded; giving his friend a faint smile and turned to walk away. "And hey!" The god stopped in his tracks; facing Mobius once more. "Don't think too much. I know it's hard, but... Try it, okay?" "Yeah..." "Good."
Loki's and Mobius' shift had actually ended over an hour ago, but the two worked a bit overtime; keeping Loki distracted and to get some more work done. Now, the god was on his way home, when suddenly B-15 appeared beside Loki.
"Loki."
He stopped; turning to talk to his friend. "Oh, hey B. You good?" She smiled; giving him a nod. "Sure. You, too?" The god faked a smile and nodded. "How's work going?" "Good, but, uh, I'm in a bit of a hurry and... Can you do me a favour?" Anything to distract myself. "Of course, sure. I've got time." Loki shrugged his shoulders and buried his hands in his brown work trousers. "What do you want me to do?"
B-15 held up her TemPad. "Can you bring this to the Repairs & Advancements department?" The god took the TemPad. "Sure. Um, where do I find the department? I think I've never been there."
After B-15 described Loki how he'd get to his next destination, she thanked her friend and left.
Loki headed down several hallways, before he stepped into the elevator; pressing the lowest button. It took the machine a whole while to get him on this very floor. It felt like an eternity for him - but ultimately, the familiar 'ding' tone echoed through the small space and the doors slid open. They revealed a long, high hallway with mint green cabinets lining the right side of the hallway. A lot of different things were stacked on said cabinets.
Loki gazed around; scanning his surroundings. It looked kind of... messy. Chaotic.
Hesitatingly, he stepped out of the elevator and walked cautiously down the hallway. Am I right here? He saw nobody else. Not a single soul. Sure, the lights were on; actually creating a bright and somehow cosy atmosphere, but... Nevertheless was this all a bit creepy. The god kept on walking, until he reached a room. That must be it. Hunter said the first room on the left.
He stepped inside. The room was big, high, utterly chaotic and yet organised. Big kind of racks lined the sidewalls; every shelf filled to the brim. In the middle was a huge oval-shaped counter with several things and stuff laying around on it. Most of them Loki even couldn't name. And whatever it was that hung from the ceiling, Loki had never seen something similar before.
Nobody was to be seen - or well... That's how it seemed. He stepped forward, until he reached the counter - on which stood written in big, black letters: Repairs & Advancements. Must be right, then.
"Hello?"
No answer.
"Hellooo?! Somebody here?!"
Again, Loki received no answer. He waited a few moments; let a few minutes pass - but nothing.
"Why would Hunter send me to this place, if nobody is even here?" Loki said out loud - more to himself; frowning. Shrugging his shoulders, he just placed the TemPad on the counter in front of him and turned to leave - only to completely freeze in motion mere seconds later.
"Wait, wait! I'm here, I'm here! Hello! Don't leave!" A female voice suddenly echoed through the big room; followed by some loud noises. Loki froze in place. He knew that voice. It was all too familiar to him. He didn't hear it in a painfully long time - only in his head; and he thought he'd never hear it again... You. It was your voice.
Loki felt like he was struck by lightning and hit by a truck at the same time. His mind and emotions were running wild. Was this... reality? Could this be true? Or was it again just a cruel illusion? Or by the Norns, did he go mad? Was it all just in his head?
He didn't dare to turn around. Too afraid to be disappointed and heartbroken again, but also curious at the same time; his heart already screaming at him to run to you.
"Apologies! I didn't have a visitor in, uhhh, was it 200 or 300 years... Anyways, please don't go! How can I help you?" There was your voice again. But closer. And Loki couldn't help himself, but to turn around. His head fighting a battle against his heart, which was already lost the moment he heard you call out for the first time.
So, he turned around, slowly; facing the counter once again. His breath hitched in his throat; eyes widening and jaw slacking. Every muscle in his body tensed, but also lost control at the same time.
There you stood, behind the counter with that beautiful kind smile on your face. Your hair was bound together in a messy bun with a few loose strands framing your face. You wore some kind of brown, beige and green overall and looked like a... mechanic?
Tears started to pool in the god's eyes.
"Y-Y/N?" He halfway sobbed; voice hoarse. "A-Are you... Are you real? I-Is this... r-real?"
You frowned; scrunched your nose in the cutest way possible. "I, uh, I think you confuse me with somebody else. My name is Ouroborus, not Y/N - but you can call me O.B."
Loki's facial expression derailed. It felt like getting Hulk-smashed full force - until realisation hit him. She doesn't remember... Of course, she doesn't remember! She's been brainwashed, just like the others.
Loki shook his head frantically, before making quick steps towards you. "No... Your name isn't Ouroborus - and you'll remember me in a few seconds, my love."
You frowned even more and absolutely didn't understand why that strange TVA worker suddenly touched your arm gently. He was gazing into your eyes like you meant the world to him - and you didn't know why. What is wrong with him and why is he so... desperate and shaken?
Shaking your head softly, you pulled your arm away; out of his gentle grasp. "I'm sorry, but, um... Do... Do we know each other?"
Loki's heart fell and shattered into a million pieces at the impact. She can't remember me... Why can't she remember me?! Still!
"W-What?" He breathed out; the tears starting to fall once again. "It can't be..." You could practically feel the desperation radiating off of him. "I-I don't understand, I... W-Why is it not working?"
You watched the strange man pace up and down; ruffling his wild raven curls. What a weird thing to happen... There you were, living your peaceful life, repairing several things the TVA workers send you, with nobody actually visiting you for hundreds of years and suddenly - out of the blue, there was this man and did... that? You honestly couldn't quite believe what was happening in front of your eyes, and yet you felt a wave of... sympathy for him. Compassion.
You got ripped from your thoughts, as you felt two warm, strong hands softly gripping the sides of your upper arms. You blinked, only to realise that the man was leaning over the counter; oceanic blue eyes seemingly staring straight into your soul.
"Y/N, please... Please tell me you can remember...."
He was so close that you were able to actually smell him. Leather; something fresh and fruity you couldn’t point out and a mix of sultry musk and charred wood.
You blinked; softly shaking your head.
"I-I don't, I-"
Loki dropped his hands abruptly with a frustrated, sad sigh and stepped back. His eyebrows slanted, as he lifted his hands to gesture at himself; fingertips literally digging themselves into the clothed flesh of his chest. "It's me, Y/N..."
So slowly, he was frightening you a bit. His sheer maniac frustration. He seemed to be obsessed... with you?
"Sir, I'm really sorry. I-I don't know what happened to you, or the person you are looking for, but I'm asking you to leave now. I'll take a look at that TemPad and send it back as soon as I repaired it."
Loki's body slumped; all hope leaving his body.
Days, weeks, months, years ago, you were so far and unreachable. Now you were so close suddenly, and yet still out of his reach. It wasn't fair.
Loki stumbled backwards, overwhelmed by the whole situation and your request for him to leave.
"I-I'm so sorry... So sorry..." The god mumbled, before literally turning on his heels and running; trying to escape the nightmare he had fallen into. Or was it a dream?
He ran to the elevator, pressing the button quickly; repeatedly - almost as if something was hunting him down. As soon as the doors shut close and the machinery started to move him upwards, Loki pressed himself against the brown wall; breathing heavily. He was completely beside himself; on the verge of losing his mind.
Did that just really happen?
Not knowing what to do, he absent-mindedly stumbled down the hallways of the TVA, until he landed on the doorstep of the little house of his best friend...
His fist hit the wooden door; begging for entrance. "Mobius..." And again. "Mobius, please... Open the door." No minute later, the grey-haired man with the moustache answered the god's pleas and opened up the door.
"Loki?" Mobius asked with a frown; still dressed in the familiar TVA shirt and trousers. His eyes settled on Loki. He saw the tears in his eyes... How puffy and red they were. He could tell that Loki was devastated and... traumatised? It alarmed the agent. He had never seen his friend like that before.
"What happened?!"
A single tear was running down the god's cheek. "She can't remember, Mobius. I-I tried to give her all the memories back, b-but she can't remember... It's not working!"
Loki's words confused Mobius. He hadn't a single clue what this was all about.
"Who, Loki? Who? What are you talking about?"
Loki stared aimlessly into distance; swallowing hard.
"Y/N..."
This confused the agent even more. And he was highly concerned; given the fact that his best friend seemed... disorientated and not quite himself...
Gently grabbing Loki by his shoulder, he urged him to step inside his house. "Come in." The god let himself get 'dragged' inside wordlessly; without any resistance. Mobius guided him to the kitchen; stopping in front of the small dining table and pulling back a chair. "Sit down, take a breath and tell me exactly what happend, okay?" Loki nodded; did what Mobius told him to do and sat down.
Loki needed a moment to sort his thoughts and process what he had just experienced - which wasn't quite easy...
"B-15... She- I met her on my way home after our shift. She asked me if I could bring her TemPad down to the Repairs & Advancements department a-and-" "The Repairs & Advancements department?" "Y-Yes?" Mobius shook his head; visibly trying to think. "I honestly don't know if I was ever down there... Perhaps... Perhaps not... And you went there?" Loki nodded; feeling his emotions get stuck in his throat again. "Yes. I-I found her, Mobius. She's there. S-She-" "Who? Who did you find?" The agent interrupted his friend.
Another tear rolled down the god's cheek; his heart rate picking up at the thought of you. "Y/N... My Y/N..." Mobius' eyes widened. "What?! Y/N? She's there? Here? In the TVA?" Loki nodded; a black curl falling into his face. "Yes, but... She... She can't remember, Mobius. I tried to give her back all the memories, but... It didn't work."
The agent frowned. "What do you mean it didn't work? It worked with everybody here. With every variant. And now you're telling me that Y/N is... immune to it?"
"Yes."
Mobius went silent; answered nothing, and strained Loki's patience with it.
"What am I going to do now, Mobius? I-I can't pretend this never happened. I can't just ignore her! This is the woman I love! My heart, body and soul are yearning for her! I-" "I know, I know," the agent interrupted his friend. "Take a deep breath. We're going to find a way, okay?" Loki nodded; followed his order.
"What if..." Mobius started; thinking. "What if it has something to do with your feelings for her? Could this change something in your magic? I mean... You don't have a past with every other variant here and barely know them, but Y/N is different." Loki shrugged his shoulders; still a bit overwhelmed. "I-I don't know... It shouldn't. After all, it worked with you and Hunter, too - and you are my friends. We do have a past."
Mobius sighed. "Point taken." Loki was right.
"Well, in that case... I currently can't think of another solution than making her fall in love with you again. Perhaps she remembers then."
Loki blinked. "Make her fall in love with me again? You mean... Woo her, take her out on dates and court her properly?" "Exactly."
The god swallowed hard. This was not how he hoped this would go, but what other choice did he have right now?
Tumblr media
Loki needed a few days, until he set foot in the Repairs & Advancements department once again. His brain, but especially his heart had a hard time catching up with what was happening... You were constantly on his mind. All day long - and at night, he saw you in his dreams. It was even worse than before.
Now, he stepped cautiously down the lonely hallway towards you again, taking deep breaths. He decided to best start with an apology - and that was exactly what he wanted to do now.
"H-Hello?" Loki entered the big room. "O...Ouroborus?" It felt so wrong to call you by that name and not your real one. "I, uh, I came here to apologise! I didn't mean to scare you. It's just... I lost somebody who was very important to me and you reminded me of her." You suddenly appeared from behind the counter, smiling softly. "Apology accepted. I'm sorry you lost her. Sounds very hard to lose someone important..." The god swallowed again; noticing how hard it was to keep his feelings at bay and under control.
"It truly is. Again... My apologies." "You're forgiven-, uh... What's your name, actually?" You asked with a bubbly giggle. "Loki." "Well, then... You're forgiven, Loki." His name leaving your lips caused a shiver to run down his spine; butterflies running wild inside his belly.
"Thank you."
From that day on, Loki tried to spent as much time with you as possible, in order to test out Mobius' theory and hoping to make you fall in love with him again. He tried to be his funny, charming, mischievous self - but after a while he had the feeling, that he was not making any progress. He took you on 'date' after 'date' after 'date', but that was it. You'd always talk about work, colleagues and the TVA in general. It was not very often, that the conversations became a lot more personal. Loki really tried everything possible to woo you; always stayed positive and didn't give up hope, but the feeling he had was anything but good - and he should be proven right...
Being the gentleman Loki was, he always accompanied you home after each 'date' and made sure that you arrived safely - just like today.
You stopped in front of the small door, fishing out the keys of your handbag and turned the lock, before turning to face the man again. "Thank you, Loki," you said; giving him a soft smile; which he returned. "No need to thank me, dar- O.B. It's a privilege to accompany your date home." Your smile faltered a bit; almost impossible to see, but Loki caught it anyway. Did I say something wrong?
"Good night, Loki. Thanks for paying dinner." He gave you a court nod, "As I said... Privilege." and paused for a moment.
"Would you... Would you like to come over sometime next week? After work? I-I could cook something for us and we could enjoy the rest of the evening with a glass of wine on the sofa." Loki had never invited you to stay at his - until now, and therefore was he slightly nervous. He couldn't help himself. His heart forced him to make the next move; suffering already way too long. The vital organ felt like a decaying rose since you had re-entered the god's life...
Flowers need water to live - and your love was the water Loki's heart needed.
You swallowed hard; body tensing up visibly. Something shifted within your demeanour. He noticed.
"Loki, that... That's really very kind of you and a sweet idea..." Your words send his heart and hope skyrocketing. Could this be finally the moment I waited such a long time for? Like a fool blinded by love, he didn't notice the hesitant undertone in your voice.
"But, uhm... I'm really sorry to say that, 'cause you've been very generous and kind to me... Uhm... I know you try to impress me. And maybe you feel more than just friendship, but... I don't feel quite the same." You took a deep breath; your words felt like a painfully tight grip around the god's heart.
"You are very nice, but absolutely not the type of men I'm into. I, uh, don't want something romantically with you. Sorry..."
And his heart crumbled to dust underneath your hand; all hope came crashing down. Loki wanted to cry and scream from the agonising pain within his chest - but he didn't. Instead, he just nodded wordlessly. "I-I understand. Thank you for your honesty. Good night," he more or less rushed out, before he turned to quickly walk away, since the tears started to already form in his eyes. He had absolute no intention to break down right in front of you. He'd rather do that at home - and he did.
That night and the few nights which followed, the god more or less cried himself to sleep. The small spark of hope he had carried within his body was gone. Extinguished. Non-existent. Nothing was able to cheer him up. Neither his best friend, nor B-15 - who was shocked to learn that she had send her friend unknowingly back to the love of his life. The Norns knew they tried, but... In vain. Just like Hunter and Mobius had no solution for the memory problem...
Loki stopped visiting you. Took his distance; knowing very well that he couldn't just treat you like a friend.
Tumblr media
Days turned into weeks, but it was the same like before... Loki couldn't forget you and especially his feelings for you. You seemed to follow him everywhere. He often dreamed of you. Almost every night. A thin line between torture and bliss - until one dream changed everything...
A young Loki came to stand beside his mother; the cape of his ceremonial armour gently billowing in the wind. "I can sense your happiness, son," Frigga started; turning her head to look at him. "I take it your attempts to woo Lady Y/N have been successful?"
Loki blushed in the deepest shades of red at his mother's words. "M-Mother, I, um, w-we..." The young prince stumbled over his own words, trying to explain himself, but the Queen only shook her head softly.
"No chance in denying, Loki. I saw the kiss you shared. And besides, I'm neither blind nor stupid. It was only a matter of time. But finally, we got that kiss." She winked - and Loki literally jumped up in his bed; wide awake. The dream triggered another memory, which had been locked deep down somewhere in his brain. His eyes widened.
A kiss...
Perhaps that was what it would take... A kiss.
Loki had remembered a bedtime story which his mother would tell him and Thor, back when they were small kids. Toddlers, perhaps even. The story was called 'Sleeping Beauty' - a Midgardian fairytale, in which a beautiful princess falls into a deep slumber due to an evil magic spell, and the only way to save her is, of course, true love. So, the handsome prince kisses her - and she awakes.
Isn't the TVA exactly the same somehow?
As stupid as it might sounded, Loki had to try. He'd try anything to get you back.
He jumped out of his bed; quickly slipping into his TVA clothes. A look on the watch told him, that he'd have to get up for work soon anyway, so he had some time to get to you, before his shift started. With a snap of his fingers was he ready to leave his small home; teeth brushed, raven locks tamed and body clean. Usually, he didn't use his seidr for this, but today...
Loki was almost running down the seemingly endless corridors of the TVA, before he reached the elevator and only a few moments later the Repairs & Advancements department. Confident and trusting in the brainwave he just had, the god strutted down the last hallway, separating him from you.
Entering the big, familiar room, he looked around; eyes searching you - and to his luck, he indeed found you. You were standing on the left, in front of the huge shelf, inspecting some... device. Not beating around the bush - and not losing any more precious time, he quickly stepped over to you.
You were deep in thoughts; focused on your work and task ahead. Once the approaching steps had gotten from your ears to your brain, it was already too late.
Being suddenly yanked into someone's arms caused a yelp to escape your lips. "Loki?!" You squeaked with eyes wide open; caught like a deer in the headlights. "What by the Timekeepers are you doing?! Let go of me! I told you I am not-"
The god had heard enough. Before you were able to protest more, he leaned in and captured your lips with his; pouring all his love for you in the kiss.
While Loki relished in the feeling of your soft lips after such a long time, you were shocked. Appalled. You told him he wasn't your type and yet he makes a move on you? How rude... You wanted to push him away and ask him what the fuck he thought he is doing.
You had already lifted your hands; ready to shove him away, when it happened... Your brain felt suddenly like it was about to explode; a dam on the verge of breaking - and it did. Memories exploded within your head like fireworks... Asgard. Your childhood. Your parents. The first time you saw Loki. The first words you exchanged. The beautiful friendship you had shared with him, which melted into your first kiss. You remembered. How he had made love to you for the first time. Every dance and laugh you shared. His proposal. Everything.
You felt relieved; free. It was like the fog in your brain had finally lifted and you could think clear again. You could finally see him.
Your heart threatened to burst from the sudden rush of happiness and love you felt. You had lost Loki, landed in the TVA, were forced to forget him - and suddenly... He was right in front of you.
But then you felt how Loki wanted to break the kiss again - something you couldn't allow him to do. Before he could part his lips from yours, you pulled him quickly back in; literally throwing yourself into his arms. Unbeknownst to you, flew the god's eyes open and widened to the size of plates at your movement. Surprised and shocked, he gave into the kiss; just enjoying the moment - until he had to take a breath.
Deep Y/E/C eyes gazed into his; a teary smile on your face. You slowly lifted your hands to cup his chiselled cheeks; feeling his skin underneath your fingertips after such a long time, sending shivers down your spine. "Loki..."
His name leaving your lips caused his heart to skip a beat, as realisation hit him.
"You remember me?"
You nodded quickly; running a hand gently through his raven curls.
Tears spilled from Loki's eyes like waterfalls as he lifted you up into his arms; spinning you in a circle. You yelped up in surprise, but giggled almost deliriously; wrapping your arms around his neck.
"At last, I finally have you back, my love. I'm so sorry it took me so long to find a way back to you, I should have-" You shook your head; shushing him. "Shhh, my prince. Not now. Don't blame yourself." You pressed your forehead against his. "We have a lot to catch up to, but... Let us enjoy this moment, please. Just... hold me. Let me feel your touch. I've been starving for way too long."
How could Loki possibly refuse your request? He smiled through his tears and wrapped you up securely in his arms; kissing you slow and tender.
Tumblr media
"Hey, C-4, have you seen Lo- Oh my goodness. Am I dreaming?" Both, Mobius and the other TVA worker were staring at the end of the hallway. C-4 in confusion and Mobius in shock. "I, uh, don't know? What do you mean exactly, Mobi-" Clapping his fellow co-worker absent-mindedly on the shoulder; eyes fixated on what was happening in front of him, he moved on. "Thanks, C-4. I got this."
You and Loki walked towards Mobius; smiling brightly. Loki had slipped his fingers through yours, holding your hand tightly. Stopping halfway to wait for for his friend, the god couldn't help but to pull you into a gentle kiss, causing you to giggle.
"Loki?" Mobius asked; still not quite believing what his eyes saw. "Am I dreaming this? Is that..." He gestures towards you. Loki chuckled, nodding. "Y/N, yes... My Y/N." His friend smiled. "So... She can finally remember? She has her memories back?" He nodded again; feeling how a lump formed in his throat once more. Happy tears were ready to fall.
"Yes... Finally, she remembers." Loki turned to you. "Darling, this is Mobius. He's my best friend." You smiled at the man opposite of you, stretching out your hand. "Very happy to meet you, Mobius. I'd introduce myself, but I guess my man here did that already, so..." Mobius returned the smile; shaking your hand. "In all those years, the one thing he loved to talk about, was you. It was really sweet." You giggled at his words; seeing Loki blush.
"How did you get her to remember? I thought you couldn't?" Mobius asked, after swallowing the piece of cake. He had invited you to eat a slice of cake together, catching up a bit.
Both, you and Loki smiled lovingly at each other; hands still intertwined. You just couldn't leave your hands off of him - just like Loki couldn't leave his hands off of you. "Well..." You started. "He's my prince. And just like a prince, he kissed me awake." "Because I am your true love." "Just like I am yours."
Mobius' eyes widened. "What? Like in that fairytale? What was its name again?" "Sleeping Beauty," said Loki with a smile. "Yes! That's the one." His friend nodded.
"Exactly like that, Mobius. I kissed her awake - and now she's mine again."

heyy I'm not sure if you still do headcanons or anything like this and if not that's totally okay!! I was just wondering how loki might react if he was invited to spend the holidays with the reader(or if the readers family came to the compound for the holidays, up to you!) thanks!!ᥫ᭡.
Hey!!! I’m happy to do headcannons! Thank you for requesting! 💚
I kept it all very neutral and vague with using ‘festivities’ instead of ‘Christmas’ terminology because I know not everyone celebrates it. I also kept the family terminology vague and just used ‘your parents’ and not ‘mum and dad’ or whatever because I know not everyone has a nuclear family (me being one of them!) No mentions of pronouns for reader.
Avenger!Loki x Partner!You ‘Meeting The Fam’ Headcannons
Tumblr media
Loki knew he shouldn’t have been surprised when you had mentioned him tagging along with you for the holidays to your hometown, to spend the festivities with your family, but he still had that moment of shock at the invitation
At first, he didn’t quite know what to say. Him meeting your family? He, the God of Mischief, the war criminal turned Avenger, the morally grey trickster… Meeting… your very human, and highly likely, definitely ‘normal’ family?
It wasn’t quite self-consciousness he felt, but nerves for sure. If his younger self had seen him now, he would’ve berated him for worrying about what mere mortals would think about him, but these weren’t just any mere mortals, they were your mere mortals, your family
When he didn’t answer straight away, you had insisted he could take a few days to think about it and you wouldn’t be offended if he said no, but Loki quickly shook his head, cutting you off
“No, it isn’t that I don’t want to, it’s just-“ “It’s just…?” “Well… I’m… me.” “Yes… you are you.” “You know what I mean.”
You gave him a small understanding smile at that
But after you had convinced him it would be fine, he agreed, wanting to be there for you, to be with you for the holidays - something that seemed very important to mortals, being with family during such a time
Loki could feel his palms get clammy from apprehension and nerves as you both stood outside your childhood home, bags of gifts in your arms
“Loki, trust me, they’re going to love you.”
When the door opened, Loki swore he felt his heart stop, awaiting the look of disappointment at the fact their child had brought along the God of Mischief
But when he was greeted with smiles and warmth, he blinked in confusion, but before he could even begin to process the warm welcome, he was being ushered inside, your parents fretting about him catching a cold
“Can Gods even get a cold?” One of your parents had asked, making you roll your eyes and shake your head in amusement as you glanced up at Loki
You could see the bewildered look on the God’s face as your parents began to fuss, taking the bags from him and not batting an eyelid at the fact he was in their home, and it made your heart soften with a slight ache
“We were told you don’t like anything too sweet, so I made sure we had enough nuts and fruits and such for you to feast on,” one of your parents had told Loki with a smile and nod, making him raise his brows, glancing at you
“Oh, that’s…” Loki cleared his throat. “Lovely. Thank you.” It sounded a little awkward, but your parents didn’t pay much mind
As the evening went on, Loki had began to relax slightly, quietly watching the new dynamics unfold with a keen eye. He watched the way you interacted with everyone, seeing how at ease and comforted you were at being home. He had to admit, it was infectious
When someone suggested playing a game, Loki’s eyes lit up. Now this was an area he was good at
It was then he began to come out of his shell, although, he wasn’t exactly shy, you could tell he was unsure how to navigate this new realm - the realm of ‘meeting the parents’
Spending time with your family reminded him of past moments with his own, the lighter times, the fonder memories
“See, it’s not so scary is it?” You had teased him later on, Loki giving you a playful glare. “I never said it was ‘scary’.” “No?” “No, I don’t believe those words came from my lips.” “Ah, my mistake. It’s just… when I mentioned it you look like I’d just told you I’d murdered someone and that we had to hide the body…” “Shh, I’m enjoying my nuts.” Of course, you laughed at that
And as he spent the next few days with your family, Loki began to feel a sense of warmth and gratitude for being invited, for being involved and treated as though he wasn’t a God, a Prince, an Avenger with a dark past and morally grey tendencies…
He was just treated as Loki, just as you treated him as such
He even received a gift to open from your parent, which he hadn’t at all expect and felt a little guilty that all he had brought was a bottle of wine (expensive but not particularly thoughtful because he had no clue what to gift them)
It was a simple gift, an cotton scarf in his signature colour, but the thoughtfulness behind it warmed him - a feeling that he was experiencing rather a lot in you and your families company. Of course, he knew you would’ve given your parents some tips on what to get for him, and his heart swelled at that thought
Loki had never really understood the festive season, finding it a commodity and just another way for mortals to send money needlessly… but…
It was safe to say he was beginning to understand now. And he found that he was becoming fond of it
“Maybe… Next year we can do this again?” He had asked you when you were alone, a soft look in his eyes, a glimmer of hope. And of course, you smiled, nodding, happy that Loki seemed happy. “Of course we can. Although, i think they may actually be considering swapping me out so you be their child instead.” You had joked, making Loki chuckle. “Well, who am I to deny such attempts?” You gasped playfully, lightly hitting him on the arm. “Hey!” “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure they leave a place for you at the table.”
Loki playfully smirked before wrapping his arms around you, embracing you in a silent thank you for letting him experience it all by your side

The chill of December wraps around you as you shuffle through the living room, tossing a scarf onto the pile of clothes Loki has deemed necessary for this trip. Your breath fogs slightly in the air, even inside, thanks to the old heating system that never quite does its job. Loki, standing near the window with his usual poised elegance, eyes your movements with a raised eyebrow.
“Are you certain we need to bring all of this?” he asks, gesturing toward the heap of jackets, sweaters, and boots. His black coat hangs over one arm, and he adjusts the green scarf you insisted he wear, its color somehow making his eyes seem even sharper in contrast.
“Yes,” you say with a grin, tossing another blanket into the backseat of the car. “It’s a road trip in the middle of winter, Loki. We’ll need everything to stay warm.”
“Is the car not equipped with sufficient heating?” His tone is suspicious, as if the idea of a less-than-perfectly functioning Midgardian invention offends his Asgardian sensibilities.
“It works fine!” you shoot back, though you cross your fingers mentally because “fine” is definitely a stretch. “Besides, it’s better to be prepared than frozen on the side of the road because of… well, let’s just call it ‘old car problems.’”
Loki sighs dramatically, pulling his long hair out from beneath the scarf. “It seems your love for this outdated contraption borders on madness.”
You roll your eyes. “My ‘outdated contraption’ is the only way we’re getting to my parents’ house. So unless you want to conjure a portal and skip all the scenic stops along the way…”
“Very well,” he interrupts, his lips curving into a reluctant smile. “Lead on, darling. I’m at your mercy.”
The term of endearment warms you in a way the old heater never could, and you pause for just a second to take him in. Loki—the god of mischief, with his sharp tongue and sharper cheekbones—standing here, wrapped in layers of human warmth, about to spend his first Christmas with you and your family. You feel an odd mixture of pride and nervousness, though you quickly push the latter aside.
“You’re going to love this,” you say, your voice soft but certain. “The road trip, my parents, the holiday. All of it.”
He steps closer, tilting his head as he studies you. “You seem… different today. Anxious, perhaps?”
“Nope,” you lie, too quickly.
He quirks an eyebrow, not buying it, but lets the moment pass. Instead, he picks up a thermos from the counter, examining it with mild curiosity. “And this?”
“Hot chocolate. Essential for road trips,” you say, taking it from him and packing it into a tote bag. “You’ll see.”
He doesn’t argue, but the small smirk on his face suggests he’s already planning to tease you about all of this later.
It takes another twenty minutes to finish loading the car. Loki insists on helping, though he does so with a mix of bemusement and mild exasperation. You’re almost certain he could transport everything into the vehicle with a snap of his fingers, but he indulges your need to do things the “human way,” as he puts it.
When the car is finally packed, you hand him the keys. He stares at them as if you’ve just offered him a particularly baffling puzzle.
“You’re driving,” you say, barely containing your laughter.
“Absolutely not,” he replies immediately, holding the keys between his thumb and forefinger like they might bite him. “This… contraption is yours. You shall pilot it.”
“It’s not a spaceship, Loki. It’s a car,” you say, sliding into the driver’s seat. “Besides, I like driving. You get to sit back and relax.”
He mutters something under his breath about Midgardians and their strange customs but climbs into the passenger seat without further protest. He looks comically large in the small space, his knees brushing the dashboard despite his attempts to adjust the seat.
“Comfortable?” you ask with a grin, starting the engine. The old car roars to life, though it takes a couple of tries.
“Exceedingly,” he deadpans, resting his elbow on the window ledge. “Do proceed.”
The sarcasm doesn’t escape you, but you’re too excited to care. You pull out of the driveway, the crunch of snow under the tires echoing in the crisp morning air. The city begins to fall away as you head toward the open road, the skyline replaced by sprawling fields dusted in white.
For the first few miles, Loki is quiet, his gaze fixed on the passing scenery. You steal glances at him, wondering what’s going through his mind. He’s so rarely this subdued, and while you appreciate the peace, you can’t help but feel like he’s holding something back.
“So,” you begin, breaking the silence. “What do you think so far?”
He turns his head slightly, his eyes narrowing as if considering his response carefully. It’s… peculiar.”
“Peculiar how?”
“This,” he says, gesturing toward the dashboard and then out the window. “The journey itself. On Asgard, such distances would be traversed in an instant. There’s something… inefficient about all of this.”
“Efficient isn’t the point,” you counter. “The point is to enjoy the trip. The stops, the conversations, the memories. You can’t get that if you just snap your fingers and appear where you want to be.”
He looks at you for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then, to your surprise, he nods. “Perhaps you’re right.”
You grin, feeling victorious. “See? I told you you’d like this.”
“I didn’t say I liked it,” he corrects, though his tone is lighter now. “Merely that you might have a point.”
“Close enough,” you say, reaching over to turn on the radio. Static fills the car for a moment before a holiday tune comes through, cheerful and bright. You glance at Loki, half expecting him to complain, but he only raises an eyebrow.
“And what is this?” he asks.
“Christmas music,” you reply, tapping your fingers on the steering wheel in time with the beat. “It’s mandatory for road trips in December.”
“Mandatory, you say?” He leans back in his seat, his lips twitching. “I had no idea the laws of Midgard were so whimsical.”
“Oh, they’re very serious,” you say with mock gravity. “In fact, I think there’s a fine for not singing along.”
His laughter is sudden and genuine, catching you off guard. It’s a rare sound, and you treasure it, even more than you do the road ahead or the promise of home waiting for you at the end of the trip.
The hum of the road beneath the tires and the gentle sway of the car create a rhythm that feels both soothing and energizing. You lean forward to fiddle with the radio again, this time landing on a station that’s playing upbeat holiday classics. Loki watches you with a bemused expression, his long fingers resting idly on his knee.
“Ah, yes,” he says, as the unmistakable opening notes of Jingle Bell Rock fill the car. “Another... mandatory Christmas tune?”
“Exactly,” you reply, popping open a bag of pretzels and offering him some. “And if you don’t like it, you’re legally required to tell me in song form.”
He picks up a single pretzel between his thumb and forefinger, examining it with an air of suspicion. “This looks like it was made for livestock.”
“Hey, don’t insult the pretzels,” you protest, grabbing a handful and tossing them into your mouth. “They’re a road trip staple.”
Loki places the pretzel on his tongue like it might be poison, chews slowly, and then swallows. His expression shifts from disdain to surprise. “It’s... salty.”
“Yes, that’s kind of the point.”
He considers this, then reaches for another. “Intriguing.”
You grin and pull another snack from your arsenal: a brightly colored bag of gummy bears. “If you think pretzels are weird, wait until you try these.”
He raises an eyebrow, accepting one of the bears and holding it up to the light. “Is this... an animal?”
“Sort of,” you say, trying not to laugh. “It’s candy. Just eat it.”
He does, and for a moment, his face is a perfect picture of concentration. Then, slowly, his lips curve into a smile. “This is much better than the pretzel.”
“See?” you say triumphantly, tossing a few gummy bears into your mouth. “I told you, snacks are essential. You can’t have a road trip without snacks.”
Loki leans back in his seat, his long legs stretching as much as the cramped car will allow. “And this is how Midgardians entertain themselves on journeys? Consuming... novelty foods and singing mandatory songs?”
“Pretty much,” you reply. “Oh, and there’s one more thing.”
“What’s that?”
You reach into the tote bag and pull out a thermos. “Hot chocolate.”
He accepts the thermos with the same air of careful curiosity, unscrewing the lid and taking a tentative sip. His eyes widen slightly, and you know you’ve won him over again.
“This is... quite good,” he admits, taking another sip.
“I told you, road trips are fun.”
He glances at you, his expression softening. “I suppose they are—when shared with the right company.”
Your cheeks flush, and you turn your attention back to the road, the snow-covered fields stretching out in every direction.
A few hours and several snack wrappers later, the car’s fuel gauge dips dangerously close to empty. You pull into a small, slightly shabby gas station, the kind with peeling paint and a flickering neon sign. Loki surveys the establishment with a look of barely concealed disdain.
“This is where we’re stopping?” he asks.
“Unless you want to push the car the rest of the way, yes,” you reply, pulling into a parking spot near the pumps. “Come on, stretch your legs. I need to use the bathroom anyway.”
Loki unfolds himself from the car with all the grace of a cat, though his nose wrinkles as he looks around. “It smells.”
“It’s a gas station,” you say, slamming the car door. “What were you expecting? Roses?”
He doesn’t dignify that with a response, instead following you toward the building. Inside, the fluorescent lights buzz faintly, and the air smells faintly of coffee and stale popcorn. You head for the bathroom, leaving Loki to explore the aisles on his own.
When you emerge a few minutes later, you find him standing in front of a display of souvenir snow globes, one of them turning over in his hands. The miniature scene inside—a plastic snowman and a lopsided evergreen—glimmers as the “snow” swirls around it.
“Are you actually thinking about buying that?” you ask, amused.
He glances at you, then back at the snow globe. “It’s... quaint. And yet oddly mesmerizing.”
You laugh, grabbing a couple of candy bars and a bottle of water from a nearby shelf. “If you want it, get it. Consider it your first Midgardian souvenir.”
He looks at you for a moment, then nods, placing the snow globe gently on the counter as you both approach the cashier. The older man behind the register barely glances up, sliding your items across the scanner with the air of someone who’s been doing this job for far too long.
“That everything?” the cashier asks, his voice gruff.
“Yes, thank you,” you say, handing over your card.
As the cashier bags your items, Loki leans closer to you. “What exactly is the purpose of this trinket?” he whispers, nodding toward the snow globe.
“It’s just for fun,” you whisper back. “Not everything needs a purpose.”
He looks skeptical but doesn’t argue.
Back outside, you load the snacks into the car while Loki examines the gas pump like it’s some kind of alien artifact.
“Do you know how to use this?” he asks, gesturing toward the nozzle.
“Yes, I know how to use it,” you reply, rolling your eyes. “Go sit in the car. I’ll take care of it.”
He doesn’t move, instead watching intently as you swipe your card and start filling the tank. “Fascinating,” he murmurs.
“It’s really not,” you say, though you can’t help but smile. He has a way of making even the most mundane things feel... significant.
When the tank is full, you hop back into the driver’s seat, and Loki joins you, carefully placing the snow globe in the cup holder between you.
“Ready to hit the road again?” you ask.
He nods, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. “Indeed. Though I’m curious—what other ‘essential’ stops will we be making along the way?”
“You’ll just have to wait and see,” you reply, pulling back onto the highway. “Road trips are all about surprises.”
The car hums along the snowy highway, the world outside your windows stretching into a winter wonderland of frosted fields and glittering trees. Inside, however, it’s less serene. Loki sits in the passenger seat, absently flipping through the contents of the glove compartment with the unrestrained curiosity of someone poking through someone else’s junk drawer.
“Do you actually need half of this?” he asks, pulling out a map so faded it’s barely readable.
“Put that back,” you say, swatting at his hand without taking your eyes off the road. “You don’t touch the glove box. It’s sacred.”
“Sacred?” He chuckles, holding up a broken pair of sunglasses and a random assortment of gas station receipts. “Darling, this is hardly a relic worth worshipping.”
“It’s my chaos box,” you reply. “It’s not supposed to make sense. Now leave it alone before you break something.”
“Very well,” he sighs, shoving everything back with little regard for order, which makes you groan. “Though I fail to see how it could possibly get more broken.”
You glance at him, catching his smirk, and roll your eyes. “If you’re bored, you can always stare out the window dramatically and brood. That’s kind of your thing, isn’t it?”
He leans back, folding his arms across his chest in mock offense. “I do not brood.”
“Oh, you absolutely brood,” you say with a grin. “You brood so hard you make storm clouds jealous.”
He opens his mouth to retort but stops when his hand brushes the thermos of hot chocolate, which is now teetering on the edge of the cup holder. He grabs it just in time but not without spilling a healthy splash onto his coat.
“Gods,” he mutters, glaring at the stain like it personally insulted him.
You bite back a laugh but can’t resist teasing him. “Nice catch, broody. Very heroic.”
He dabs at the spot with a napkin you hand him, grumbling under his breath about “ridiculous human beverages” and “primitive travel conditions.” You’re still laughing when he huffs dramatically and folds his arms again, clearly aiming for indignation but only managing to look adorably annoyed.
A few hours later, you pull off the highway to check out a small roadside shop advertising “the best pies in the state.” It’s the kind of place you’d normally drive past, but the idea of a warm pie in the middle of a snowy road trip is too tempting to resist.
Inside, the shop is charmingly rustic, with walls covered in old photos and shelves lined with jars of preserves. You head straight to the counter, but Loki lingers near a display of homemade candles, holding one up and sniffing it cautiously.
“Vanilla bean,” he reads aloud, his tone skeptical. “Is this supposed to smell like food?”
“It’s a candle,” you reply, selecting a cherry pie from the glass case. “It’s supposed to smell nice.”
He sets the candle down, unimpressed, and joins you at the counter just as the cashier rings up your order. As you pay, Loki spots a basket of candy canes and picks one up, frowning as he examines the striped treat.
“What exactly is this?” he asks, holding it like it’s some kind of alien artifact.
“It’s a candy cane,” you say, grabbing one for yourself. “It’s minty. You’ll like it.”
He pulls off the wrapper and takes a tentative lick. His face immediately contorts into a mixture of surprise and confusion.
“This tastes like winter,” he declares.
“That’s kind of the point,” you say, unwrapping your own. “It’s festive.”
He tries another lick, then shrugs and tucks the candy cane into his coat pocket like it’s a weapon he might need later. You stifle a laugh, imagining him wielding it like a dagger.
Back on the road, you decide it’s time to test Loki’s patience. You rummage through your tote bag and pull out a festive headband adorned with two glittery reindeer antlers.
“What is that?” he asks warily.
“A gift for you,” you reply, grinning as you hold it out to him. “Put it on.”
“Absolutely not.”
“Oh, come on. It’s Christmas!” you say, leaning over to try and place the antlers on his head.
He dodges, his reflexes annoyingly quick. “I am not wearing that.”
“Why not? You’d look cute.”
“I do not do ‘cute,’” he says, crossing his arms.
“Fine,” you say with exaggerated disappointment, sliding the headband onto your own head instead. “I guess I’ll just have to be the festive one.”
“Finally, some sense,” he says, but there’s a glint of amusement in his eyes.
You’re about to retort when you glance at him and realize the candy cane he’d tucked into his pocket has fallen out and is now stuck to his scarf. He hasn’t noticed, but the sight of him sitting there with a sticky candy cane dangling from his pristine scarf is too much. You burst out laughing.
“What?” he asks, frowning.
“You, uh… you’ve got something on your scarf,” you manage between giggles.
He looks down, spots the candy cane, and sighs heavily. “This is why I prefer Asgardian fabrics,” he mutters, carefully peeling the sticky mess off his scarf.
“You’re a walking Christmas disaster,” you say, still laughing.
“And yet, here you are, subjecting me to all of this,” he replies, though there’s no real bite to his words.
“Because you love it,” you tease.
He glances at you, his expression softening. “Perhaps I do.”
As the sun begins to set, you find yourself driving through a picturesque little town, its streets lined with twinkling lights and festive decorations. Loki, who has been staring out the window for the past few minutes, suddenly sits up straighter.
“What’s that?” he asks, pointing to a small group of people gathered around a fire pit in the town square.
“Looks like a caroling group,” you say, slowing down to get a better look. “They’re singing Christmas songs.”
“Fascinating,” he murmurs.
“You want to stop?” you ask, half-joking.
He surprises you by nodding. “Yes. I’d like to see this.”
You pull into a parking spot, and the two of you wander over to the group, who are enthusiastically belting out Deck the Halls. Loki stands slightly apart, watching with an expression you can’t quite read.
After a few minutes, one of the carolers notices him and offers him a songbook. “Would you like to join us?”
Loki hesitates, glancing at you. You give him an encouraging nod, trying not to laugh at the idea of the god of mischief singing Christmas carols. To your amazement, he accepts the book and flips it open.
What follows is perhaps the most surreal and hilarious thing you’ve ever witnessed. Loki, with his deep, smooth voice, joins in on Silent Night, his usual air of confidence somehow making the song sound like a solemn Asgardian hymn. The carolers seem delighted, but you’re struggling not to laugh so hard you cry.
When the song ends, Loki hands the book back and turns to you, one eyebrow raised. “What?” he asks, clearly aware of your barely contained laughter.
“Nothing,” you say, grinning. “You’re just… full of surprises.”
He smirks, slipping his arm around your waist as you head back to the car. “And you wouldn’t have it any other way.”
The town square is straight out of a holiday movie. Strings of fairy lights crisscross above the cobblestone streets, casting everything in a warm, golden glow. The shop windows are decorated with frosted garlands and tiny ornaments, and the faint scent of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts wafts through the crisp air.
“This place is... quaint,” Loki remarks, though there’s no malice in his tone. If anything, he seems intrigued.
You grin, taking his hand and giving it a tug. “Come on, let’s walk around. Stretch our legs before we hit the road again.”
His fingers tighten around yours, and you set off down the street together, weaving through the small clusters of people enjoying the festivities. Loki, with his impossibly perfect posture and graceful strides, looks somewhat out of place among the casual, bundled-up townsfolk, but he doesn’t seem to mind.
At one point, you stop in front of a shop window displaying tiny porcelain houses arranged in a Christmas village scene. Snowflakes painted on the glass catch the light, giving everything a magical shimmer.
“Do people in Midgard really live in houses that small?” Loki asks, leaning closer to inspect the display.
You laugh, standing on your tiptoes to kiss his cheek. “No, they’re just decorations. They’re supposed to be cute.”
He tilts his head, considering this. “I suppose they have their charm.”
You stay there for a moment, watching him as his gaze shifts from the display to the reflection of the twinkling lights in the glass. His face softens, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
“What?” he asks, catching you staring.
“Nothing,” you say, smiling. “Just glad you’re here.”
He looks at you for a long moment, his expression unreadable, and then leans down to press a kiss to your lips. It’s soft and unhurried, the kind of kiss that makes the rest of the world melt away. When he pulls back, his thumb brushes lightly against your cheek.
“Likewise,” he murmurs.
The spell is broken by the distant sound of a bell jingling, signaling someone entering a nearby shop. You laugh softly and take his hand again, leading him further down the street.
You walk for a while, pausing occasionally to peek into shop windows or admire the decorations. At one point, you pass a small stand selling roasted chestnuts and decide to grab a bag to share. Loki takes one, examines it like he’s expecting it to come to life, and finally pops it into his mouth.
“Well?” you ask, grinning.
He chews thoughtfully before nodding. “Better than pretzels.”
“That’s high praise,” you tease, nudging him playfully with your shoulder.
Eventually, your wanderings lead you to a cozy little restaurant tucked away on a side street. Its glowing sign reads The Holly & Hearth, and through the frosted windows, you can see the warm glow of candlelit tables and hear the faint hum of conversation.
“This looks nice,” you say, glancing at Loki. “Shall we?”
He nods, holding the door open for you like the gentleman he so often pretends not to be. Inside, the restaurant is as charming as its name suggests, with rustic wooden beams, a crackling fireplace, and tables adorned with holly wreaths and red candles. A cheerful hostess greets you and leads you to a cozy booth near the window.
As you settle into your seat, Loki shrugs off his coat and places it neatly beside him. You, on the other hand, haphazardly toss yours onto the seat next to you and lean back with a sigh.
“Finally, real food,” you say, glancing at the menu. “Not that I don’t love snacks, but I can’t live on pretzels and gummy bears alone.”
“I don’t know how you managed this long,” Loki replies, his eyes scanning the menu with mild curiosity.
The two of you place your orders—warm soup and freshly baked bread for you, and a hearty roast for Loki. While you wait for your food, you sip on hot cider and talk about nothing in particular. It’s easy, comfortable, and you can’t help but marvel at how natural it feels to share these little moments with him.
That is, until you notice Loki’s expression shift.
His posture straightens, and his gaze narrows slightly as he glances around the room. You follow his line of sight and realize he’s looking at a group of men seated at the bar. They’re not exactly subtle about the way they’re watching you, their gazes lingering a little too long on the curve of your legs and the snug fit of your sweater.
You glance back at Loki, whose jaw is now clenched. His fingers drum lightly against the table, an almost imperceptible but telling sign of his irritation.
“What’s wrong?” you ask, though you have a pretty good idea.
He doesn’t answer immediately, his gaze still fixed on the men. Finally, he leans in slightly, lowering his voice. “They’re staring at you.”
You laugh softly, brushing it off. “It’s not a big deal. People stare sometimes.”
“It is a big deal,” he replies, his tone clipped. “They’re ogling you like... like wolves.”
You bite your lip, trying not to smile at his indignation. “It’s fine, Loki. Let them look. I’m here with you.”
He doesn’t seem convinced, his eyes flicking back to the men, who are now pretending to be interested in their drinks but still sneaking glances in your direction. You reach across the table, placing your hand over his.
“Hey,” you say softly, drawing his attention back to you. “You don’t have to be jealous.”
He arches an eyebrow. “Jealous? I am not jealous.”
“Uh-huh,” you reply, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. “You’re definitely not jealous.”
He huffs, clearly trying to maintain his composure, but his free hand moves to rest possessively on your knee under the table. The gesture is subtle but unmistakable, and it sends a pleasant little thrill through you.
“You’re cute when you’re protective,” you tease, leaning forward slightly.
He smirks, though his gaze remains slightly guarded. “I am not cute.”
“Sure you’re not,” you say, your voice teasingly sweet.
Before he can respond, your food arrives, and you’re momentarily distracted by the comforting aroma of warm bread and hearty soup. Loki, however, is still keeping an eye on the men at the bar, his expression one of thinly veiled annoyance.
As you eat, you make a point of keeping the conversation light, hoping to draw his attention back to you. It works—for the most part. He relaxes a little, though his hand remains on your knee, his thumb occasionally brushing against your leg in a way that makes it very hard to focus on your soup.
When you’re both finished eating, you lean back with a satisfied sigh, savoring the lingering warmth of the cider. Loki watches you for a moment, his earlier tension finally melting away.
“You’re entirely too captivating for your own good,” he says, his voice low and warm.
You smile, reaching across the table to take his hand. “And you’re entirely too dramatic.”
He chuckles, his thumb brushing over your knuckles. “Perhaps.”
The moment is interrupted by the sound of one of the men at the bar laughing a little too loudly. Loki’s gaze flicks to them again, and you can practically see the wheels turning in his head.
“Don’t do anything,” you warn, narrowing your eyes at him.
“Who, me?” he asks innocently, though the mischievous glint in his eyes suggests otherwise.
“Yes, you,” you reply. “Let’s just pay the bill and get out of here, okay?”
He sighs but nods, and you flag down the waitress to settle up. As you slip into your coat, you feel Loki’s arm wrap around your waist, pulling you close as you make your way toward the door. It’s a subtle but unmistakable display, and you can’t help but smile as you glance up at him.
“Feeling better?” you ask as you step out into the chilly night air.
“Much,” he replies, his lips curving into a satisfied smirk. “Though I still don’t like the way they were looking at you.”
You laugh, leaning into his side as you walk back to the car. “Well, you don’t have to worry. I only have eyes for you.”
He stops, turning to face you with a serious expression. For a moment, the teasing is gone, replaced by something deeper.
“I know,” he says softly, his hand coming up to cup your cheek. “But I can’t help it. You’re... everything.”
Your breath catches, and before you can respond, he leans down and kisses you. It’s slow and sweet, the kind of kiss that leaves you feeling warm despite the cold air around you. When he finally pulls back, his forehead rests against yours, and you can see the faintest hint of vulnerability in his eyes.
“You’re everything to me too,” you whisper, smiling up at him.
He presses another quick kiss to your lips before pulling away, his smirk returning. “Good. Now let’s get back on the road before you tempt me to abandon this journey entirely.”
Laughing, you take his hand and head for the car, ready to continue your adventure together.
You both make your way back to the car, the chill of the night air nipping at your cheeks. Loki’s hand stays warm in yours as you slip into the car, and despite his earlier grumbling about the road trip, there’s an almost reluctant contentment to the way he settles into his seat next to you. You adjust the rearview mirror, settle the gearshift into drive, and take a deep breath, ready to continue the journey.
“Ready for this?” you ask, glancing over at him as you pull out of the restaurant’s parking lot.
Loki looks at you, a slight smirk on his lips, but there’s something softer behind his mischievous eyes. “As ready as I’ll ever be,” he says, his tone a little more serious than before.
You take that in stride and shift the car back onto the main road, the headlights cutting through the snow-covered streets. The gentle hum of the engine fills the space between you as you make your way toward the highway again, the familiar roads taking you further from the cozy warmth of the small town and closer to your family’s home.
As the miles slip by, the temperature outside continues to drop, and you turn up the heat just a little bit. The soft flicker of the dashboard lights casts a glow over Loki’s features as he shifts in his seat, pulling his jacket tighter around him.
“So,” you start, breaking the silence, “have you decided what you’re going to wear tomorrow? The family dinner?”
Loki looks over at you, a little surprised. “Wear?” he repeats, raising an eyebrow. “You didn’t tell me there was a dress code.”
You laugh lightly. “Well, it’s not a formal event or anything, but my family tends to go all out on Christmas Eve, so… I don’t want you showing up in your typical black and leather. Trust me, my mom won’t let you hear the end of it.”
Loki chuckles under his breath, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “You think she’ll mind if I show up in a full Asgardian outfit? Complete with the crown?”
You roll your eyes, but the warmth that fills your chest at the thought of Loki trying to make an impression on your family is undeniable. “You know my mom would love that. And my dad, too, probably. You’d definitely steal the spotlight.”
“Is that not the goal?” Loki says with an innocent grin, and you can’t help but laugh.
“Sure, but not at the expense of your dignity.”
“I have plenty of dignity to spare,” he says, leaning back in the seat. “Besides, I find this whole ‘family’ thing fascinating. You’ve mentioned your parents quite a lot, but I’ve never met them. Do they, uh… approve of me?”
You glance at him, surprised by the slight hesitation in his voice. He’s trying to act casual, but you can tell it’s more important to him than he’s letting on.
“Of course they do,” you say softly. “They’re excited to meet you. I wouldn’t be bringing you if I didn’t think you’d get along.”
Loki nods, though his gaze seems to linger on the passing road ahead. “I’ll try my best to… behave.”
You can’t help but smile, reaching over to rest your hand on his. “I think they’ll like you. Just be yourself. But also, maybe, try not to antagonize my dad too much.”
He raises an eyebrow, giving you a teasing look. “Antagonize? Me? Never. What makes you think I’d do such a thing?”
You laugh again, the sound light and carefree, and you both settle back into a comfortable silence. The road ahead stretches on, snowy fields and frosted trees blurring past your window. The quiet of the car feels familiar, the two of you sharing the journey together without needing to fill every moment with words.
After what feels like both a long time and no time at all, you see the sign that signals the turnoff toward your parents' house. You breathe a small sigh of relief, the excitement of being close now outweighing any lingering nerves. You’ve been looking forward to this—both the chance to see your family and share this part of your life with Loki.
As you pull up the winding drive, the house looms ahead, a two-story home with red brick and a sprawling front yard that’s been decorated with twinkling lights, wreaths, and even a couple of reindeer statues. It looks like something straight out of a Hallmark movie, and you can’t help but smile at the sight.
“This is it,” you say, slowing the car to a stop just in front of the porch.
Loki glances around, his eyes scanning the house and the decorations. “Very festive,” he says, though his voice holds a note of amusement. “I didn’t expect this much cheer.”
You turn the car off, giving him a quick glance. “Don’t worry. My family’s great, but they’ll take it easy on you. They just… love Christmas a little more than most.”
Loki gives you a wry smile. “I’m sure they’ll find a way to make me feel completely at home.”
You roll your eyes, but the truth is, you’re just as nervous as he is. “You’ll be fine,” you reassure him, giving his hand a squeeze before you open the door.
As you step out, the chilly air immediately hits you, and you pull your coat tighter around yourself. Loki follows you, his movements fluid as always, and you both make your way up the steps to the door.
Before you can even reach for the handle, the door swings open, revealing your mom standing in the doorway, beaming. She’s wearing a festive red sweater with snowflakes and her hair pulled back into a loose bun. The moment she sees you, her smile widens even further.
“There you are!” she says, wrapping her arms around you in a warm hug. “We’ve been waiting for you. And I take it this is the infamous Loki?”
Your mom pulls away and glances at him, her smile not wavering for even a second. Loki, for his part, looks like he’s preparing for a battle, but when your mom gives him an easy smile and extends her hand, he hesitates only for a moment before shaking it.
“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you,” he says, his voice smooth but a little guarded.
“Likewise,” your mom says with a laugh, clearly not phased by his formal demeanor. “Come on in! Dinner’s almost ready.”
You shoot Loki a look, reassuring him with a soft smile as you step into the warmth of the house. The scent of freshly baked bread, roasting meats, and spices fills the air. The living room is lit by a crackling fire, and the familiar decorations you grew up with are scattered throughout the house. It feels like home.
As you enter the living room, your father, who’s seated in his favorite armchair by the fire, looks up from his book and stands. He’s a tall man with broad shoulders, a salt-and-pepper beard, and a warm, welcoming presence. The moment he sees you, his stern face breaks into a huge smile.
“There she is! My favorite daughter!” he exclaims, holding his arms out to pull you into a bear hug.
Your father’s voice booms, but there’s no mistaking the love behind it. When he pulls back, he glances over at Loki, sizing him up with a raised eyebrow.
“And this must be Loki,” he says, his voice less warm but still friendly. “You’re a little different than I expected, but no less intriguing.”
Loki stands a little straighter under your father’s gaze, clearly aware of the scrutiny. “I’m not sure what your expectations were, but I assure you, I’m… delightful once you get to know me.”
Your father chuckles, extending his hand. “I’ll take your word for it. Welcome to our home.”
Loki hesitates only for a second before shaking your father’s hand firmly, and you can see a flicker of approval pass between them, though it’s still a little tentative.
The moment is interrupted by a voice from behind you, and you turn to see your older brother, Matt, standing in the hallway, grinning widely.
“Well, look who finally showed up! Did you get lost on the way here?” he teases.
You roll your eyes and go to greet him. “Shut up, Matt,” you say, giving him a quick hug. “I didn’t get lost.”
Matt, always the joker, looks over at Loki with a raised eyebrow. “So, you’re the infamous god of mischief, huh?”
Loki, who’s clearly been getting all kinds of attention from your family, puts on his best regal smile. “In the flesh,” he replies smoothly, though there’s a hint of annoyance in his tone.
You can feel the subtle tension in the air, but your mom comes to the rescue by clapping her hands together.
“Alright, enough of the introductions! Everyone, dinner’s ready!”
As you all head into the dining room, you can feel Loki’s posture relax just a little, but you can tell he’s still a little on edge, trying to navigate the maze of your family’s personalities.
You smile to yourself, a little giddy at the thought that this—this chaotic, perfect mess—is your family. And Loki? Well, he’ll get used to it, and in time, they’ll warm up to him just as much as you have.

There was only so long the cloak could keep you covered with so many others at risk. You were sure another may have been able to hang onto its protection for longer, but the soldiers, beaten back as they were, were becoming desperate. Those still in the village had begun smashing windows, hammering on doors and climbing the walls where the stones allowed, searching for ways into the strongholds of the villagers. The very homes of the Asgardian people were at risk and, despite the blood still seeping from your side, you knew that they were far more vulnerable than you or Loki could ever be.
Before you could make the decision consciously air rushed around you, the lights were brighter and the sound louder. The bubble you’d been protected in with Loki was gone but, so was a large portion of the village.
Bres and the Vanir Prince rounded on you immediately, savage grins on their faces and blood dripping from their swords.
“There you are,” the Prince growled. As quickly as you could you pushed up from the ground, supported by growing vines and leaves, to your feet. Your spear glowed blue, spitting fire at the approaching attacker.
Beside you, Loki rose too. His leg, still at a strange angle, seemed to be healing slowly. Despite his odd weight distribution he revealed his daggers and flipped them both, eyeing Bres’ approach.
“My lady said no, Bres, it’s time to retreat.”
You could feel the well of magic around you, Loki’s sedir gathering at full force. Your own magic, currently burning through its energy, knocking soldiers out of the way to return to you, flared a rich blue leaving burnt land and then flowers in its wake.
Loki couldn’t take anymore of the desecration of his home, the disrespect shown to his family. He grabbed your hand and at once you felt your magic gather, a vacuum in it’s place and then. Loki.
Together, my Goddess
Together
A blast of green and blue magic shot from your joined hands, hitting Bres full in the chest and throwing him backwards. The Vanir Prince rallied his own, meagre, power but it was no match for your shared strength, he went flying, careening into Thor and Jane who held him down with Mjolnir.
He maintained the assault with his left hand, magic flowing through him and out onto the battlefield, his right he wrapped around your waist, pressing on the flow of blood and supporting you to stand.
“We win this together, my darling, I want you by my side.”
You lifted your own palm, allowing the ebb and flow of your magic to dance inside of you, the hollow feeling before the blast becoming more and more familiar as it grew, crashing onto the enemy before you.
Bres fell further and further back, his men now fleeing left and right until he lay on the harbour cobbles, sprawled at your feet.
Loki stared down at him in disgust.
“I ought to kill you for this. This was war, Bres, and you know it, this is not the way of things in the Nine Realms any longer-” Loki’s jaw ticked in anger.
“Nine Realms?” Bres scoffed, still attempting bravado. His only back up was now being dragged to the centre of the village by Thor, Stormbreaker balanced on his shoulder. “I believe your homeland was destroyed, Loki, Prince of nothing and no one.”
The Prince cowered at Loki’s feet though, looking up with pleading eyes.
“He knows not what he says, Prince Loki, please show mercy upon us.”
Loki stared back, then turned to you.
“My darling, this is your kill. Last time I performed the deed for you, now you are strong enough to do this for yourself.”
Silence fell, Thor and Jane stood behind the prisoners, Brunnhilde watched from the wharf, making sure no one climbed back up. Korg was helping villagers from their homes, righting people, doors and flower pots with equal care.
“I have never taken a life.” You whispered, looking at Loki, searching for the right path.
“If you do not wish to start, you could grant them clemency, we have a prison here.” The Vanir nodded in agreement, eyes wet with tears. But Bres looked cold.
“I knew you were a coward, Loki. And you’ve made her cowardly too. Think of all she could have achieved with the Vanir, all the battles she would have ended if you had simply stepped aside like the second son you are. This is no place for you.”
“Bres,” the Vanir Price sobbed, “stop!” He pleaded, crying fully now. “I thought it was the right thing. I did. I wanted a new world, a new realm and I was greedy and foolish. Please show mercy, Princess Estrid.” He gripped your thigh in his muddy hands, tears making tracks in the blood that coated his face. You’d only really seen him on the battlefield but now, stripped of his helm, he was just a boy, young and lost, betrothed as you had been for reasons beyond his own desires.
“Thor?”
He looked at you, shocked, but waiting.
“Take him to the prison.” You declared, coldly. If you could put off this decision then you would, for now.
“Let’s go.” Thor took him roughly by the arm and dragged him to his feet, but he went willingly, calmly. “I’ll come back for that one.” He pointed at Bres, but you shook your head.
“I’ve not decided about him yet.”
Bres spat at your feet while you spoke, but you burnt the filth away before it could even land.
“Why would you want them to make a new world, when this one is so beautiful?” The question came out as a whisper, your confused evident.
His sneer returned, teeth blackened by drying blood. “He’s a boy, that one, a welp the same as you, I would never have let either of you keep that land. But I did very much enjoy Ragnarok. Your boyfriend took care of that for me, thoughI knew you could do it again.” He eyed the charred grass where you’d been fighting. “You would have burnt the world to the ground and then it would have been mine.”
There was another hand on your back now, Brunnhilde’s.
“Put him in prison, decide later.” She suggested gently.
“Okay,” you rubbed a hand over your eyes, smearing blood from your fingers.
“You look a true warrior now,” Thor laughed, returning from the prison, “a true warrior, I will escort our friend here -” before Thor could finish his thought Bres had moved, sliding a broad sword from his seemingly empty scabbard, he lurched towards Loki. Daggers flashed catching the sword, then it slipped, falling to the cobbles in a shower of ashes.
Everyone turned to look at you, your spear out, the tip touching where Bres had once stood, his own ashes blowing in the wind.
Tumblr media
In the aftermath you found yourself under Loki’s cloak, the deep velvet so intoxicatingly him that you felt safe and warm despite the wound in your side and the scars on your heart.
Brunnhilde, with the surprisingly organised help of Korg, managed to set up a triage and refuge in the Long Hall. Before long the smell of stew was permeating out from the kitchens and the usual cacophony of chatter was filling the space.
Despite Jane explaining that she “wasn’t that kind of Doctor, Thor.” With a roll of her eyes, she still helped the local doctor and nurse bandaging up any wounds and sending more serious cases off to the hospital.
Thor had tackled the swarm of journalists at the edge of the village as best he could, trying to distract them with little effect and eventually sending them away with the promise of a full interview with the entire court as soon as they had the village in order.
Yet all you saw was Loki, his eyes sparkling in the candlelight, romantic despite its necessity since the powerlines had come down. And all you knew was that you loved him and he loved you in return.
“Do you think we could just…go?” You whispered, tugging on Loki’s hand, “I’m so tired, I already got stitched up. Or do you think we need to stay, as a sign of strength or something?”
“My darling, after how you defended our people today, I don’t think anyone could be upset with you needing to rest.” He cupped your cheek again, wiping away what was left of the mud after you’d washed your face in the bathroom.
Tumblr media
Loki didn’t comment on the house, the smell of burning that still lingered from your uncontrolled rage. He didn’t comment on the way the bedroom was a mess, your clothes everywhere and the sheets still rumpled from your restless sleep.
He didn’t have time to comment because his lips were distracted kissing every inch of skin he could find, his hands carefully guiding you backwards onto the bed, propping himself over you on an elbow so he could continue to pepper kisses down your neck and collar without hurting you.
His cloak lay beneath you, his presence hovering above and you closed your eyes in bliss. He was home, safe, apart from some battle wounds that were already well on the way to being healed. And although he would take time to move past the mental weight of being trapped, the pain of his sedir being restricted, you were at least together and together you could weather any storm.
Tumblr media
By the morning the village looked better, most of the debris had been cleared away and everyone was in fine spirits, organising for a feast in celebration of your victory. Loki had been clear that you weren’t to lift a finger while he tidied the house, the magical way, of course, and had settled you in an armchair wrapped in only the bedsheets with a huge mug of coffee and as many pastries as the bakery could muster.
Today was going to be a special day, he’d decided.
He’d woken before you, running out of the house and returning with everything he needed before you could stir. Thankfully you’d slept late after taking your pain medication, giving him lots of time to plan.
After your coffee he ushered you into the bathroom where a full bathtub steamed, complete with healing herbs and extracts would help you sooth away your pains and help the wound in your side heal. Asgardian healing was incredibly advanced, the stitches growing new skin and sinew as well as holding the wound together, so Loki had no doubt you’d be fighting fit in no time. With you in the bathroom he could make some calls.
Tumblr media
That afternoon Loki coaxed you out from the warmth of the cottage to take a brisk walk through the village.
“We were supposed to do this, do you remember? I promised you a walk on the cliffs.” He said, his normally long stride was tempered so you could keep up and enjoy the view together. One of your hands was tucked into the crook of his elbow for warmth, the other touched the budding plants that had covered the battlefield in just a single day. Although Loki had been hurt too, he’d healed quickly and now there was no way to tell that there had ever been anything wrong with his strong, lean body. Not unless you peeled back the layers of his sweater and wax cotton jacket to find the scars beneath.
One the other side of the cliff the land swooped down towards a second beach, less hospitable to the boats and so more widely used in the hot summer for bathing. Now, with the winter still nipping at your noses, it was deserted except for a single green blanket, folded on a dry rock.
“Loki…” You gave him a sideways look, clocking his mischievous smile. His eyes though, there was something else in them you couldn’t quite place.
“Yes, my darling?”
With a flourish he opened the blanket, letting it float through the air before landing on the soft wet sand. Inside magic shimmered - a picnic basket, cushions and a large umbrella to protect against the wind appeared, artfully arranged on the green wool.
“Loki! This is gorgeous! Did you do this for me?” You dropped his arm, running forwards to touch the delicate tassels on the umbrella. “How did you even do this kind of magic, it’s amazing.”
Lost in your excitement you didn’t notice the movement of the sand behind you, or Loki kneeling down on the blanket.
“Can we - oh!”
You turned and there he was, right behind you, on bended knee. “What are you doing? Loki…”
He merely smiled up at you, “Asynja, my darling, my goddess. I should have asked you this question all those years ago on Asgard, I should never have left any doubt between us how I felt.” He held his hand out, taking yours gently and kissing your knuckles. “You are the most wondrous person I have ever met and I would be a fool not to want to spend the rest of my life, however long it may be, worshipping you as you deserve.”
“Oh, Loki!” Tears sprang into your eyes, he turned your hand over, kissing your wrist where your pulse beat wildly in anticipation.
“My darling, will you marry me?” He slid his palm across yours, leaving behind a gold ring, the band was engraved with a tangle of flowers and vines, so fine and delicate you could barely see them, they led to a flower of gemstones with diamond petals. The central stone appeared to be a light blue sapphire, but as you turned it in the light it flashed emerald green.
“Of course I will, Loki, I love you so much there’s no one else I could ever want to be with!”
Grinning, he slid the ring onto your finger and swept you backwards onto the picnic rug, kissing your cheeks and nose as you laughed with pure happiness.
Tumblr media
Thor could only hold his excitement in for so long, rushing to the Long Hall and throwing the doors open as soon as you told him.
“My baby brother is to be wed!” He boomed, startling the Knit & Natter group that had the hall booked for the afternoon. “Where’s the King?!” He bounded into the room, hugging each member of the group around the shoulders before rushing to the back office and throwing open the door.
You’d both told Thor over tea and cakes in your little cottage, the afternoon had spread out before you like the picnic blanket, giving you both time to enjoy your new excitements and dreams, as well as reminiscing on your old memories and love.
Loki had requested that Thor visit as soon as you’d made it back to the cottage, thrilled to share the news with his overexcited older brother.
Brunnhilde’s momentary shock was soon replaced with similar excitement as she followed Thor from the office and back out into the Long Hall where she found you both smiling and being fawned over by the knitting group, when Madam Gina would let them get close enough. The ancient lady, the grandmother in chief of all the village elders, had your cheeks cupped between her wrinkled hands, squeezing tightly and whispering to you with tears in her eyes.
Thor and Brunnhilde gathered round too, patting you on the shoulder and back and mixing their congratulations with the voices of the others.
“We must have a party!” Thor announced, lifting his hands, “a large party with ale and mead and feasting, oh and music. There must be music and dancing!”
Loki watched him indulgently, wrapping a protective arm around your shoulders and pulling you tight against his side. You looked up at him, his sharp jaw relaxed for a change, a twinkle in his eye and a healthy flush covering his cheeks and nose from your swift walk over.
“Your highness, there must be a ceremony first.” Madam Gina interjected, tapping her papery hand on Thor’s forearm.
“Well we shall have an engagement party, then the wedding ceremony of course and then an even bigger party after. We can’t have too many celebrations can we, not when my little brother is marrying such a fine woman.” He grabbed you both, kissing Loki on the forehead before bending to kiss you on the cheek.
“Thor!” Madam Gina wrapped him on the knuckles with the end of her knitting needles, making the prince flinch and step back.
“Please, Madam, tell us about the ceremony.” Brunnhilde offered, pulling her chair back out for her.
“Well -” she coughed, “as you know Bres took you, my dear, to ascend and then be married.” She nodded, her eyes milky as her memories cast back through the centuries.
“Yes, but I was never married.” Your heart was sinking, is there where she announced you had, in fact, been wed at some point. How did Asgardian’s get divorced, could gods get divorced? Your thoughts spiralled. Loki, sensing your anxiety building, lay a calming hand on your thigh, squeezing gently.
“No, dear, you weren’t. Lugh took you and hid you and protected you from all that nonsense. But -” her cough was worse today, Loki noted with a frown. “You didn’t ascend either, you never joined Bres’ court as a named goddess.”
“But, I joined the Asgardians, I’m a member of this court aren’t I?”
“Of course!” Brunnhilde lept to agree, “we made you a warrior of the court, you are Loki’s betrothed now too, a Princess.”
Loki squeezed you tighter at the word Princess. He’d whispered it to you countless times, mostly while he was buried deep inside of you, and now it had an almost pavlovian response.
“A warrior, yes, a court member, of course.” She patted your hand again. “But she has no role as a Goddess, no responsibility as Loki and Thor do.”
“Could I ascend? Do we know how to make that happen?”
Madam Gina looked at you and then narrowed her eyes, “of course I can dear, what do you take me for!”

Hi, can I request for Thor from record of Ragnarok being protective of his wife? I've always seen him as a protective type of guy for his lover.
Invasion on Asgard
Tumblr media
Sorry took a while to write this! Had to make him a banner and try to not mess up his personality.
Synopsis: Nobody had expected it. A huge army of giants from Jötunheim attacked Asgard with full force. You were ready to die protecting your home, but Thor wouldn’t let that happen.
TW: none—?
WC: 904
You had just left the castle for some fresh air and to explore the lower parts of Asgard alone. Normally you never left the castle. However, Forsetti had tried to stop you from leaving which left you confused but you didn’t listen to him. Did you really need permission? Thor wasn’t anywhere and he would hesitantly let you have your own space if you wanted to be alone, the same with him. He liked his personal space but he never said no to you if you wanted to be by his side. However, today was odd because you had no idea where he was. This wasn’t new to you, he always disappeared for long periods of the day. Being the wife of Thor meant other duties within the castle and getting pestered around the castle by Forsetti or other servants. You rarely saw Loki or Odin which was a good thing.
You wanted to get out after hours of being cooped up in the castle bored and the cats that hung around the room didn’t help much. Thor normally always told you it was better if you’d stay in the castle where it’s safe. He was always quiet and didn't mind ramblings, yet your presence seemed to calm every ounce of his heart and mind.
Your marriage was arranged and neither of you could tolerate each other in the beginning but slowly you both grew attached over time. You were quite the tsundere in the beginning throwing tantrums when things didn’t go your way. He admired how you were hard to control and was the quiet one in the marriage. When a few guards had tried to harm you and that was when he snapped and killed them.
As you were looking at some of the stores and the people walking by you, Asgard was truly a beautiful place outside of the castle. Many people didn’t recognize you as the wife of the strongest Norse god which was a good thing. Thor was known as the strongest warrior and god in Asgard.
Just as you were observing the townsfolk some people began to shout and scream. You looked up and saw maybe almost an army of a hundred of them launching an offensive attack on the capital of Asgard. You had stood in place not knowing if you should turn back or use your magic on them. You were just an ordinary sorcery goddess from a noble family. You had thought of the many times Thor told you to stay out of these situations. This wasn’t the first Asgard has been attacked but this army was much larger than any from the past. You left your staff back at the castle but this didn’t warrant you as useless yet.
Many buildings were being destroyed and this was unlike Thor to not be anywhere in sight. Smoke was filling the area from the city being trampled. You would most likely be outmatched by them. Many of the civilians were being killed and this was causing you to panic on the inside. Did you want to be killed like them? You kept wondering where Thor was and you felt stubborn needing him at this time.
You tried to push your way back, maybe you could grab your staff— but as you were leaving the area you were picked up by one of the giants. You were screaming and demanding to be put down.
It was no use, you began to panic and kept screaming. “Put her down!” You heard his voice shout making your heart beat harder in your chest. You rarely hear him yell or lose his self-control. The giant was stained in an instant and you found yourself falling and thought you were gonna hit the ground but the impact didn’t come. Your body crashed into his to make sure you took less fall damage. His arm wrapped around your back while the other held his hammer.
“Where the hell were you?!” You were pissed and puffing your cheeks out while tears were brimming at the corners of your eyes. You knew Thor was angry that you left the castle because of attacks like this could’ve happened anytime and no guard was with you. It angered him further but he calmed himself letting you down. He wanted to cut the rest of the giants but he needed to keep you safe first.
“Don’t ignore me!” You were being pulled into him and before you knew it, Thor had teleported you both back to the castle.
“Stay here, I’ll be back once I eliminate them.” He stopped himself before leaving. He saw how sad you were. He was itching to kill them all but he pulled your face to his and you were inches away from kissing him.
“I’ll make sure none of them would touch you again." He pressed his lips against yours as if this would be the last you’d see him. It was for a brief moment that you could understand his itch for a worthy fight. Many were risking their lives to save Asgard from falling to ruins. Thor held you close before pulling away to savour his thirst for blood from the giants running rampage.
“Make sure you come back,” you whispered while still being stubborn. This was a trait he liked about you. He smiled and didn’t respond before leaving the castle and you in the dark cold place.

Marriage of Convenience
Tumblr media
(Not my gif)
Loki Laufeyson x Reader
Summary: He really needs a wife.
Tags: arranged marriage, some of Loki questioning his feelings (?), reader questioning her feelings (?)
Note: This is going to have a few parts… so let’s see how much I can pump out of this story.
Part 2: The Marriage Pt3: The Sex
It started out as a simple suggestion. “If you want to be around her so much, why not marry her?”, more as an unfunny joke from his father rather than a suggestion and it earned an eyeroll from the teenage prince of mischief with a huff. He didn’t think about it, simply feeling seen and comfortable with his childhood best friend, spending all the time he was supposed to be training with her. She was a just a random villager that he met as a young child when she snuck into his room during a party his father threw. They have been inseparable since, building a nice friendship that would last for lifetimes as his mother would put it. This friendship also gained her family royal protection, keeping Loki’s friend safe from all harm that would be sent Asgard’s way. Now, since he was being forced into an arranged marriage to a woman he barely knew, he was starting to consider asking her to marry him.
He makes his way to the city, thinking about how he was about to ask her. Should he be direct about it? Or should he try to sugarcoat this as much as possible so that his friend wouldn’t think he was weird? It was a dire situation for him because he didn’t want to marry at all, he wanted to be free to do as he please, not have a wife or husband nagging him 24/7 about his kingly duties. He wanted a throne, but not like this. Thor gave up the throne, in pursuit of being a warrior that protects Asgard instead of a king, leaving the crown to the second and youngest son. This marriage came about for him to accept the crown, with a wife by his side or he could forget about even inheriting the throne. He walks past the townspeople, going towards a small stone house in the middle of the city, a smile gathering on his face. He was always excited, like a little puppy, to see his best friend cause its his little chance to be happy for a few hours a day. He made for his favorite woman no matter what he was doing, even if he was injured from a battle, he would limp his way to her to come lay on her couch, listening to her worry about his wellbeing.
He loved her… well being her friend. The two of them were perfect for each other, in more ways than Loki is ready to admit right now. He knocks on the door, standing back from her oak door, looking over the tidy little home she has made for herself. As soon as she opened the door, he is greeted by his smiling friend with a laundry basket being held into her hip by her forearm. “My prince.”
He snorts a reply. “You know I don’t like you calling me that...” That just made her laugh a bit, immediately letting the god into her home, closing the door and trapping in the warm air in her home. He liked being in her home. It was so much more comforting than his chaotic life of royalty. It was a nice place for him to relax, especially when she gives him an empty, golden mug and fills it with his favorite wine. “You owe me 90 coins for that expensive ass wine, mister.” She teases him, smiling before going back to her little area in the middle of her carpet, scrubbing at her clothes. Loki followed her into the laundry room and sits in a stool in the corner, resting the mug in between his leather cladded thighs, watching her wash her clothes vigorously.
“So, what brings you to my home, friend?” she asked, peering up at him as she scrubbed up and down with the soapy brush, hands already rough from the number of times she has scrapped herself.  Her question fogged his mind because he never really thought about how he should ask her to marry him. He has never shown no type of interest towards her, considering he never let himself feel those types of feelings, making this more difficult to imagine her having a positive reaction to his proposal, but unless he marries the spoiled brat of a princess that he is going to be promised to soon, he better just come out with it. He takes a deep breath, picking up his mug and chugging it before putting it down on the floor. The God kneels in front of his friend, grabbing her hands from the warm water and squeezing them tightly. “I need your help... and this is not like me to ask for help as you know, but I am about to be promised to a woman that I simply cannot marry...”
Her eyebrow raised, confusion filling her face as soon as he grabbed her hands with such a tenderness that she had never seen. Loki, being a trickster, every time he has seen her, he has scared the living shit out of her. Now, here he was, unexpectedly popping up at her door and looking at her with such desperation in his eyes. Just how bad was this woman that he was being betrothed too? She relaxes her shoulders and looks at him, a nervous smile appearing on her face as she wonders how much trouble she is going to be in for the idea he is about to suggest. She was already on Odin’s trouble list. Nothing could have possibly prepared her for what he was about to ask her to do.
“I am going to invite you to dinner tonight... and I am going to propose to you in front of my father, mother, brother and my betrothed. It will pull me out the engagement with her and it will put me in an engagement with you.” He said it so casually, as if he wasn’t asking her to accept a marriage proposal to him and possibly uproot her peaceful life to being in the public eye 24/7. She went quiet, not sure how to respond and not making eye contact with him as she thought about the suggestion. “You are basically asking me to enter a fake marriage with you? Would we get married, Loki?”
He sighs, looking down a bit, losing a bit of his confidence. This is not like him at all. “I could try to hold it off as much as possible, but we would have to get married. See, my father has told me that I would have to inherit his throne to retire him and my mother. Thor would have been the perfect choice. Already married and the first son... but he gave up the throne, leaving me with the burden of finding a wife.” Her stomach was swirling with nausea and butterflies, thinking about how the hell she was supposed to handle the responsibility of being the Queen of Asgard. She has seen Frigga’s workload, and it is not nothing that she doesn’t ever want to inherit. Seeing her hesitance, he started to plead. “Please. It is a selfish request I ask of you, my dear friend… but I cannot marry that woman.” He held her hands, tighter. “She is annoying...”
She laughed, snorting a bit and breaking the tension in the room. “She is that annoying that you ask your friend to marry you?” she jokes, pushing her hands upwards and holding his forearms, leaning a bit closer to him. “If I do this for you, promise that it won’t get weird?”
He nods immediately, pulling her into a tight hug, grateful for her acceptance. “I promise, friend.”
When the night came along, the nerves were starting to set in. She was friends with Loki, but she had never been inside his private room and here she was, sitting there in a silk gown that was cold against her skin. She played drums on her thighs as she waited for Loki to get dressed for tonight’s dinner. She was about to proposed to… for the sake of her friend. She didn’t know why she was so incredibly nervous, enough to feel like she was about to throw up. “How do you sleep in here?!” she called out to her friend, who was with a servant in his giant closet. She was trying to break the mood with a little joke. “It seems so uncomfortable in here... I don’t think I would get a wink of sleep in here.”
It made Loki chuckle from the closet, a rustle of leather against leather being heard. “It’s comfortable... warm and the bed helps. I sleep like a brick most nights...” She giggles, running a hand through her hair. Even his voice seemed to calm her, making her smile more times than she wanted to admit. He finally steps out, dressed in his normal outfit, without the cape and hair slicked back with gel. His heavy horned crown sat upon his hair, framing him out perfectly. He gives her a little spin, fishing for some compliments. “How’d I look?”
“Like my Loki...” she hums, standing up, still a bit wobbly in the heels he had chosen to wear. He said it would impress his father if she stood a bit taller, almost the same height as Loki. She walked over to him, adjusting his crown and making it crooked on his head, earning a signature grin from him. Loki, since he has grown from the young boy that she befriended, has grown into a handsome young man. It made her feel something in the pit of her stomach that she ignored completely. “Seriously, you do look good. How do I look?” She gave him a little smile before pulling back from him, letting him see her outfit. He just smiles, eyes raking over her body in a, what he hoped, friendly way.
“Amazing.” He simply says.
He takes her warm hand into his cold ones, leaving the room with her. He enjoyed the little jokes she could make even before meeting his father, making him feel like something that he couldn’t ignore. The feeling made him feel nauseated and excited at the same time, leading her down the hall to the dining room. She looked absolutely ravishing in her dress, not helping the feeling. He straightened his posture as he could hear his father and the father of his betrothed laughing, heartily. The smell of meat and sweets filled his senses as he opened the door, leading his friend to her seat before taking his seat next to her.
The dinner went as expected, introducing herself to the king and queen in a respectful way. Saying hello to Thor and greeting the lady, who was giving her some death glares from across the table. She keeps her demeanor poised, something that she and Loki would laugh about later. When the proposal comes along, it comes after dessert and a little nod of approval towards his son from Odin. She could hear an audible breath from Loki as he stood up from his chair and moved it. He takes her hand, gently and lifts her up from her seat, pulling her almost too close to him, feeling his breath encase her face, making her shiver a bit. “Just act surprised... afterwards... I am going to kiss you to really sell it.” He whispered, looking into her eyes and making sure she understood her assignment. She nods, slightly and backs away from the prince, watching in fake surprise as he drops to one knee, spewing out some fake sympathy words. Hell, he even earned some fake tears from her as he opened the ring box. The story he was really trying to sell here was that two of them had been in a relationship for quite awhile before now and gods, was she selling it especially. A little squeal and an excited nod when he asked for her hand in marriage really made his betrothed, who they had totally forgotten about, angry enough to leave the room. The relief she felt radiating off his body was enough to relax her as he slid the ring on her finger.
She had totally forgotten about the kiss… she almost bit his lip when he did kiss her, pulling her in closer by her hips and her hands on his board chest. The kiss felt electric, feeling a wetness gather between her legs that she never felt for her friend. He pulls back, saliva connecting their lips and a weird look on her face that she had never seen before from Loki. It was like a hungry look… like that kiss had awoken something in him and it would have only gotten weirder if he wasn’t snapped back to the reality that he was standing in front of his parents and brother by them clapping.
She was now engaged to her best friend... Oh god, where does she go from here?

Here's an adorable imagine!
What if Child Reader came across an egg containing an infant Kaiju like baby Emi from Netflix's Ultraman that hatches and imprints on Reader. Reader then brings baby Emi back to Valhalla where they tell both the gods and humans that they're "a momma now", but the adults think that reader is playing pretend with a doll.
Reader then goes on to hide Emi because they are afraid that somebody is going to hurt her, and does really well to where not even Loki knows about Emi.
The jig is up when Emi tries to find Reader while they are at school, because she misses her "momma". that is until Emi recognizes Raiden and proceeds to chase him playfully while he is running for his life scared because Emi knows Raiden as he was the first to know about her, because she mistook him for a giant teddy bear and kidnaps him just to snuggle with the wrestler.
Imagine the shock that all the fighters have when they realize that Reader wasn't talking about a doll but a baby kaiju suffering from a bit of acid reflux, spitting up beams of light rather than actual baby spitup when Reader angrily tells them off for trying to hurt their "baby".
I haven’t seen this, but it sounds adorable, and I’ll give this my best shot!
-A deep rumbling, one that shook the ground and everything around it, filled the air as shouts and screams of fear quickly followed as a massive shadow appeared over the citizens of Valhalla.
-Raiden ran out, hearing the screams and he looked up in slight horror before the being who was casting the shadow, Emi was her name, a Kaiju, called out happily, quickly snatching him into her arms, cuddling him like he was a giant toy as he shouted, demanding to be set free.
-Others quickly arrived, many of them shouting before Brunnhilde shouted loudly, “SHUT UP!!!” bringing silence in the massive group of warriors, humans and gods.
-Emi was surprised by the loud sound, but she was happy that it wasn’t so loud anymore before she turned, looking up at Raiden, “What is this thing?”
-Raiden looked a bit apprehensive, as he was the only one of your massive family who knew about Emi, “Ummm- this is Emi- Y/N’s baby.”
-Stunned silence filled the air, eyes wide, mouths dropped open, and shock filling each of them.
-They all remember it clearly, about a week or so ago, when you arrived home, rushing to your bedroom before running downstairs, asking your family if they had any chores so you could earn some more pocket money.
-Many thought you were adorable, thinking you wanted something, and you wanted to save up for it, and when Loki asked you, you beamed, your little hands on your hips, “I’m a mama now, so I need to make money to provide for my baby!” they thought you were playing with one of your dolls again, but a few gave you some simple chores, giving you some money.
-Raiden had gone to your room a few days later, after hearing a loud crash, concerned about you, thinking you had fallen and he came in, finding you trying to comfort the whimpering Emi, as she had an upset stomach and spit up, which explained the gaping hole in your wall.
-He went to freak out, but you quickly ran, grabbing his hand and pulled him in, “Please don’t freak out- this is Emi- my baby!” he quickly realized that you weren’t playing with one of your toys- you somehow found a Kaiju egg and were now raising it!!
-Many were shocked by this revelation, realizing you had kept this a secret from them for so long!! Loki had turned to stone, realizing that you had fooled all of them- or at least that’s what they were telling themselves, as technically you did tell the truth.
-Emi was cooing softly, sitting on her rear, looking at all these new friends after she let Raiden go so he could speak to all of them, explaining the situation.
-Brunnhilde had her hand up to her face, feeling a migraine coming on, annoyed by the situation, “We’re going to have to do something about this- Y/N is a child and can’t take care of something this massive- it’s dangerous!”
-Emi was silent before she started whimpering, tears quickly welling in her eyes, hearing their words that they wanted to take her away from her mama.
-Raiden turned, trying to keep her calm, “Emi it’s okay- it’s okay don’t-” she was quickly crying loudly, fat tears rolling down her cheeks as she screeched loudly, upset.
-She had been searching for you, missing her mama, while you were at school. Usually, she slept until you got home, which is how you’ve been able to keep this a secret, but she woke up early today and when she found you weren’t there she set off to find you, which led to the situation they were in now.
-You had heard the commotion from your school, hearing the people screaming and your teacher, seeing the Kaiju, told the students to go home, not wanting to risk their safety.
-You had quickly ran out, rushing towards Emi, panicking as you didn’t want anything bad to happen to her!
-When you made it to the street she was on, she was crying loudly and your eyes narrowed, seeing your family and you quickly ran over, “Stop picking on Emi!!”
-Emi turned, hearing your voice and quickly she was smiling, her tears stopping as you made it to her, putting your hands on her much larger ones, “It’s okay Emi- I’m here now! I’ll protect you!”
-Your family was shocked when you turned with such a fierce glare on your face, standing in front of your baby, “What’s the big idea picking on my baby?!”
-Raiden was a bit sheepish, telling you that he told everyone your secret, as he had no choice but to before Adam came over, worried that Emi was going to hurt you, but he paused, seeing you weren’t scared, before he kneeled down, “Y/N where did you find this- err where did you find Emi?”
-You explained how you found her egg all alone and you decided you were going to take care of the baby inside as that was the responsible thing to do when someone finds an abandoned egg!
-You were very mature for your age, hearing this and Adam sighed softly, relenting, lifting a hand to pat your head, “Okay- but we need to know what we can do to help you with Emi- so she and others can be safe. A lot of people were scared of her.”
-You gasped, looking offended, “How could they be scared?! Emi’s just a baby! My cute little baby- isn’t that right?” you turned, cooing at Emi who squealed with happiness.
-She then hiccupped and both you and Raiden froze, looking panicked before you pointed to the sky, “Look up Emi!” she did as she was told and a beam of energy came from her mouth, shocking everyone as the light was almost too blinding to stare at.
-The light faded and Emi hiccupped again, cooing softly as Loki stammered, asking you what was that and you turned, “Emi has bad acid reflux.” The fact that you said this like it was no big deal, after what they just witnessed, was terrifying, as they all wondered how you kept this a secret from them.
-You were happy to have more help in taking care of Emi, and to see you being so responsible, acting like a parent to her, was heartwarming. It was a good thing you have such a large family!
