~26/3/2023~ Had a really low day :( L phoned in sick first thing, which was feeling really difficult as not had anyone in since Thursday and only minimally then. Was finding it hard to process in the morning, but managed to message A to see if she could find any last minute cover (she couldn’t :( ). Painted some rainbow baubles to help distract. Then decided needed to get out of the flat as seeing the disarray around us was making us feel worse. So took some lunch out with us and headed on the bus to East Grinstead - read kindle on the journey and managed to finish a really good book - Only Daughter by Sarah Denzil. Sadly seemed to feel even worse mentally when out and about - everywhere looked rainy and depressing, which didn’t help. Realised we felt lonely, and then felt ‘silly’ for feeling lonely. Not having PA support makes us realise how much we rely on them, and struggling without it reminds us of the time when during the battle for social care became suicidal as could see no way we could practically live. Went to a quiet area and messaged our therapist. Then got next bus home, stopping via sainsburys local to get a few essentials we’d run out of at home. A track to nowhere

I was feeling really cooped up in my tiny lil flat last week.  The rain seemed to go on forever recently, and every time the clouds parted, I knew it was only a matter of time until the heavens opened again.  With this in mind, I limited myself to exploring my village armed with my camera, iPod, and a brolly, and this is what I found. 

I knew it was there, of course, you could hardly not notice it, but with the autumn rusty colours of the hedge giving way to the final greens of the year, and the tracks littered with golden hues, I actually ended up enjoying my walk...and this photo.

Needless to say, it hammered it down before I could get home, but at least I got a decent photograph.

•••▪︎ New Forest Sunset ▪︎•••⁠

Back to landscapes today as promised. But were staying in the New Forest for a couple more days because, well, I'm proud of myself for actually going through and editing my photos from both days out and I think they should be viewed by all. I couldn't decide which photo to post first though. Normally I hold back my favourite until last, but I decided I'll mix things up a bit and post the favourite first for a change. This is best viewed on a very large screen, but I hope you'll get the idea on your mobile screens if this is where you're doing your Insta and Facebook scrolling. I was so lucky to witness such a stunning sunset that evening - especially when the car sat nav wasn't quite sure where this pond was I was trying to get to (Google came to the rescue in the end). Once I arrived & found my shooting spot, I had few minutes to decide which lens and filters to use - it just had to be super-wide to capture the whole scene even though the huge 150mm filters aren't the easiest to handle in a hurry 🤣
