because edwin did warn him that the caging spell (and by extension, them staying in town) was dangerous. like it was one of the first things he said about the spell. the cat king says it's a caging spell, explains it will keep him in town, and edwin's exact quote is "unacceptable, kindly remove it. we cannot stay here. it is dangerous."

and then that danger was proven to be incredibly real, first when the night nurse finds them, then when hell caught him and dragged him back, then when esther caught him and tortured him.

i mean, the cat king had to know that all of this was related to the spell, right?

I think if you are feeling disillusioned with whatever media it is you are experiencing, be it magic or warrior cats or Homestuck or weezer or whatever, ask yourself this: why did I like this in the first place?

Because often that discontent is because of a change in focus, in priorities. What attracted you to the property in the first place is not what’s going to be focused on going forward. But you know what? That’s ok.

Modern fandom kind of is a weird concept, because sure, you all like this one story or show, but why you like it changes how you engage with it! One person could be here for the jokes, and another could be for the deeper themes of the work, and yet another could be here for the characters and their relationships, and a fourth could be in the fandom for the aesthetics. And because of why they are drawn to it, well, it’s going to change how they engage with the text. And all of those ways of engagement are valid! They all deal with the text in some aspect. They all stem from it.

But here’s the kicker: they might not seem valid to another person with a different draw. It might seem like they aren’t getting it, and maybe they aren’t getting it from *your* axis of engagement. But they do understand what draws them in far better than you may ever know.

It’s hard when something you love changes. I know. But I feel like…idk if this post is, like, helpful to anybody. I just…these are just some thoughts I’m currently having. We should probably strive towards openly acknowledging why we are attracted to engaging with something, and understand that that might not be the reason somebody else engages in that thing. I guess that’s what I’m say.

Sure thing! I'm going to have to go with L.yney here since I feel like I know him better than L.ynette.

L.yney is always prepared for his magic shows, but if there were an instance were he would have to choose between delaying a performance to get something to eat, or working on an empty belly, I feel like he would most likely go with the latter despite his sister's worries. After all, the show must go on!

The thing is, when he has to concentrate on entertaining huge crowds of people while also hiding any signs of his discomfort, the show can go south pretty quickly. Sure, he has done acts like this completely starving before, but that was a long time ago, before he was adopted by the F.atui. His body has long since grown accustomed to eating 3 meals a day, and as such, going hungry again like this takes a toll on his mind and stomach, the familiar feeling of nothingness causing his abdomen to ache and twist furiously... The growling muffled only by the sounds of applause... It can get distracting.

One missed cue is all it takes for him to trip and injure himself on stage. Next thing L.yney knows, he's being told he has to wait for who knows how long before he can perform again, leaving him with nothing to do but sit around anxiously awaiting to return to his once active life. Now that he isn't moving as much anymore, he can at least take the time to indulge as much food as he pleases.

This comes with a price, his waistline. I like to think L.yney is one of those people who stress eats, but he only does this when he's bored out of his mind or if he can't participate in any missions. He always needs something to do, something to stimulate his brain, and while he isn't necessarily eating junk food, it's the amount he doesn't realize he's consuming that's causing his clothes to be a bit tighter than he remembers. He's certainly going to be in for a surprise once he finds out he can barely fit into his pants one morning...

having my college friends like the posts where im rambling really hits me on how bizarre it must be to see how i am online compared to how i behave with people im not close to in real life lolol its a bit embarrassing when in person im very tame and soft spoken while online i speak in such a way it makes me seem LOUD😭 well, when you compare those two at least, im not too sure if it is percieved that way in general www.

irls who im not very close to if you see how i act online no you didn't 😢. please pretend you get to know this side of me gradually in a satisfying character arc.😢
