My dad doesn’t talk about gender with me super often but he was saying that trans rights are the big issue with Trump being elected and I said “For me personally yeah” and he said “No, for all of us. Because you’re a part of this family and you’re a part of our lives.”

charles being in awe of edwin's love gets me every time. charles who feels like he's been given a responsibility, sure, but more than that a gift. edwin, the one person he adores more than words, loves him.

idk if you guys have ever seen a small child being as careful as they physically can with an even smaller baby animal but that's the level of awe and devotion and love that i think charles feels when he thinks about edwin's confession. like beyond words, beyond movement, beyond breathing, they must keep this precious thing safe.

i think it takes charles a bit to realize that what he's feeling is that kind of love in return, but even through the fear his parents' relationship, their "love," left him with, he feels fucking blessed to be loved by edwin
