i love when the masters in disguise or fobwatched and meets the doctor and they just work so well together. for once theyre not fighting and they cant help but get along brilliantly. glimpses of what could have been

Thank you @lovelylunasnow for the suggestion of Ingo using a yumi. I ended up doing down a bit of a rabbit hole but at least I got to read more about Kyūdo ^^

These are just rough ideas for now while I think on things. I saw some archers shoot with half their kimono hanging loose, so I wanted to test an alt design using that. Also hearing about how plucking the bowstring of hama yumi will scare off evil spirits gave me some ideas for how Ingo dispels angered alphas while he learns to actually fire.

I'll see if there's anything else I want to try but between the naginata and the yumi, I think his weapons are solid for his different forms.

We'll see how things go ^^ this might end up being his polished design if I don't find anything to change.

PaddyEoin AU Idea:

Supernatural elements. Still set in Ireland before, during and after the events of SAS. Eoin as a nature fae whose territory encompasses the misty lake and surrounding forest that Paddy sometimes goes to when he needs a break from town.

Anyway, cut to Paddy stumbling across a half-hidden, moss ridden standing stone set deep in a glade he was sure definitely wasn’t there when walking to the lake in the morning. even before the war not being a particularly religious man, but enough of a poet to know when to tread carefully he leaves some of the fish from his earlier catch at the base and hopes he’ll wake up tomorrow in one piece – the beings attached to sudden springing alters can be a tricky lot. He goes home, goes to the pub and by the end of the night the experience is firmly out his head.

It remains that way the next time he winds through the wood on his next fishing excursion, muttering to himself trying to remember some Tennyson that won’t leave him alone

‘’ta for the trout, not many leave things when they find my stone.’’ All poetry momentarily forgotten Paddy whipped round, he was back in that glade again and standing in front of the cracked stone was the most waif-like young man paddy had ever seen. Unruly, dark curls did nothing to hide the tips of too long ears with his mouth pulled into a small, amused smile.

Recovering himself, ‘’and who the fuck are you?’’ The man’s long neck bobbed as he barked out a laugh, slightly too sharp teeth catching the sun before turning dark eyes back to Paddy

‘’you humans have called me many names, I forget most but I quite like Eoin. Ah I didn’t mean to startle you, was curious as to who left me a gift.’’

Ah fuck, he was a fae.

One of the high ones if his appearance was anything to go by, they were known to be beautiful. And the man before Paddy was that word made flesh and bone, standing before him like everything he was told not to want.

A shiver went through him as those eyes raked up and down, assessing, and Paddy felt not the familiar urge to rail against it, instead submitting himself to the creature’s examination. Whatever Eoin found caused a slow spreading smile, eyes bright and happy he pushed himself off the stone and reached a long-limbed arm out as if in greeting,

‘’will you give me your name then?’’

i've done some horrible things to copia in the notes app but i draw the line at giving him a hip replacement. so my personal hc for his cane situation — disregarding the alternative of him taking one onstage just for the vibes — is that he developed early onset osteoarthritis from ballet and began to manage it. the rats mv was the last time he danced properly, then after the threat of replacement, it was strict physiotherapy and steroid injections until the cane wasn't as necessary as it once was. you can get footwear designed to help with oa, so i'm sliding the shoe moment from rhrn into this self-indulgent ramble ('i'll get injured' = 'things will be worse for me later'). he'll jump around the stage as often as he dares to the frustration of doctors and his mother — and his ghouls, who will help him limp offstage at every show towards the end of the tour and take care of him after treatments. limited movement frustrates him to no end but he'll put on a mask of cheery positivity until he's too tired to maintain it any longer. he'll manage it to the point where it's easier to live with than it was when he danced for the last time, but it'll never be like it was when he was young. he struggles with this more than he does the physical pain. who'd want a reminder of their imminent demise burning at their side with every step? still, he pretends, even if it's obvious to everyone close to him that it's a problem — no need to give them any more reason to end his reign earlier than he'd like
