I guess Im not getting across like, the Vibe that I always see that bothers me? Viktor's got the social anxiety for sure, and it's VERY fair to assume that his condition makes him even more self conscious to be up in front of a crowd full of topsiders. He's pretty clear in episode 1 that he's aware of how topsiders see him and his cane use, and that's before his disability is even more visible.

But ALSO very few people ARE good on a stage in front of tons of people. And also there's a very specific connotation to "shy" that is beyond social anxiety.

Shyness to me, is its own flavor of social anxiety plus timidness. The actual definition is a bashful, timid nervousness. It has connotations of the wilting flower personality. Viktor, even when he's quiet around other people doesn't come across as nervous or timid in the slightest. His first introduction has him VERY confident and collected surrounded by enforcers and not taking Jayce being snappy and angry at him. As a kid there's more of an argument to be made because what awkward socially isolated kid isn't going to be shy. But at the same time he doesn't try to shrink away from Sky's attention, he still looks right back up at her, he just keeps on doing his own thing. Mostly he comes across as someone who does not know how to casually interact with people so he doesn't. He's got tunnels in his eyes lmao.

Viktor is complicated. Viktor is nuanced. It's why he's Ultimate Blorbo. He's withdrawn and awkward and not very good at interacting with people, but he's not timid about it. He is very self assured in himself.

But when I say fandom makes him shy it IS much more of the wilting flower timid woobie that I kept seeing in Season1 fics. There was SO MUCH of Viktor being the nervous soft spoken anxious thing who was just so happy Jayce was even giving him the time of day as if Viktor didn't sass Jayce about his notes right after he stopped the man from jumping lmaoooo

And idk not to be TOO OBVIOUS with my projecting but it's the part of Viktor I can relate to the most. I consider myself a quiet person who gets annoyed when people think that me being quiet = shy. I'm able to speak up well on zoom calls with colleagues and I also would rather drop dead than have to go up on a stage in front of a bunch of normal people who I know were expecting someone very different. I get nervous and shaky speaking up in front of a crowd of colleagues even! but afterwards I can go right up to people like "your presentation was insane tell me more right now." I am often quiet and uncomfortable in large social situations because I know that most people there are operating under a different wavelength than I am, I do not know what the right responses to things are, or I full on do not know how to not accidentally come across as a huge asshole and I don't want to be an asshole. And when I was younger I would have so many people come up and act like I was a little wallflower (bc oh boy can I also relate to being quiet while physically small meaning being constantly infantalized) who "didn't need to be so shy" and every time I was like "I'm not shy. I just don't feel any engagement with this conversation and I don't want to be a dick and tell you that, but if you gently tell me it's ok to talk one more time I'm gonna start biting."

(It got better as I got older bc I learned that if you're quiet but making active eye contact instead of staring off into other directions - not to avoid attention but because you're just thinking of other shit - people will stop labeling you as shy and instead say "intimidating" or "mysterious" which is also hilarious when what you're thinking about is "machine herald big naturals lmao" but it's better than being labeled "shy")

OH AND SPEAKING OF SELFIES LMFAO probably feels SO fucking uncomfortable and awkward taking them, so a lot of the pictures her close friends have of her are candid and when she wasn't focusing. even if she does catch them in the middle of it, she probably doesn't bother to fake a smile, which results in lots of straight-faced pictures of her (hot)

when she's with people she's not comfortable with, she'll probably force on a tight-lipped, very unnatural sort of smile. but, sometimes, when she's in a silly mood with people she's close to, I can see her hitting the 😛 blep or a faux-smoulder (probably is high when she does)

probably loved shows like totally spies when growing up, finding the investigations so interesting and loving to see girls as spies (both for lesbian reasons and future-fbi-agent reasons LOL)

probably didn't get a phone till a bit older than her peers, due to her mom struggling to afford one. but, it was okay, since she probably also didn't feel super inclined to it, and was more into reading and taking photos as a child. was never, and still isn't, into the social aspect of technology, so never really felt excited or wanting for a phone

I am very sorry you had such experiences. :( I am actually very anxious whenever I post as I fear I might get yelled at. Actually, posting this very post makes me anxious because I know talking about this subject can be very difficult. I actually rewrote his post like three times already😭

For now thankfully, everyone commenting on this blog has been very nice and kind :)

If it helps here is how I treat age gaps, maybe it can help you solve some of your issues with your public ?

I try my best to have the age gaps as small as possible, I only allow larger age gaps if the cats both meet as full grown adults (which is the case for Silversight and Spectralstar ! I actually have a little backstory post for the founders in preparation !)

I usually let the game do its own thing when it comes to couples, I mainly use my mediators to strenghten family bonds (mainly with adopted kits, because the game doesn't automatically strenghten these relationships)

If the cats are both colony-born, I will break the couple up if the age gap is equal or superior to 6 moons and the younger party is less than 30 moons old. Otherwise it makes me feel uncomfortable

I can make an exception for colony-born cats, as an example if the two cats only start being attracted to each other when the oldest is 90 moons old, and the youngest is 80 moons old ? It feels less weird to me, like they had time to experiment around with their feelings and everything before settling together you know ?

For a colony-born cat and an outsider, I can allow larger age gaps as long as the outsider joined when the colony-cat was already a full grown adult. I usually allow the game to make them an official couple when the younger party is at least 30 moons old. This means that Valleyfall x Oddspots is forbidden !!! It's just a one-sided crush on Oddspots side !

Generally I will ignore a lot of the romantic feelings the cats have for each others in-game if it makes me uncomfortable lol. You don't have to make everything that happens in-game canon in your comic if it makes you feel queasy !

These are just personal rules I give myself, otherwise I feel uncomfortable when playing and drawing my cats !

(The following part is just me rambling about canon Warrior Cats issues and how it influences Clangen and therefore most playthroughs of the game)

I think the age gap issue is due to the general canon Warrior Cats Clan setting, because if you do follow the classic Warrior Code™, you aren't allowed to take in domestic cats and loners; which means you can't add new blood, but it also means that all your cats know each other since birth. :((

In the canon books, it leads to weird ahh relationships like Thornclaw and Blossomfall, Onestar and Whitetail, Ashfur x Squirrelflight or even Brambleclaw x Squirrelflight (we often forget that both Ash and Bramble were warriors when Squirrel was born lol)

The one way the canon books found to remedy to this issue was to add a lot of useless background characters, so that they could reproduce more and regularly, giving a steady flow of new kittens of similar ages to ship with the main characters. This isn't really a good solution in the long run, seeing how incredibly big ThunderClan has become, but it's also not solving the big "everyone is related to each other" issue. :(((

That's why I decided to create the Colony instead of a Clan, so that I can change the rules, so I can integrate outsiders and domestic cats with no issue, introducing both new blood and characters who don't know everyone since they were born :)

In the following episode or in a few episodes after Betty presents the real balance, Mario greets Marcela in the Ecomoda, she makes a joke about him being a great writer (because of the story of the letter with instructions), and says that he would be the best man at her wedding to Armando.

I'm practically 100% sure that this scene really happened and that I saw it, I'm not crazy lol but if it was another dialogue or I'm wrong, someone please let me know.

I think I got slightly confused with your question, but I'll give you both my fav canon details (things that actually happened in the show) and my fav headcanons (things that aren't in the show but I totally wish they were!):

For the actual canon:

Patty trying to burn her ex's car. As if we needed any more proof that she's wrong in the head lmao

Betty and Armando both loving jazz and canonically quoting poems to each other!

Armando and Mario have been friends since they were in school!

Mario has such a phobia of kids that he straight up refused to meet family members until they were at least like 10 years old lmaoooo

Armando, a guy obsessed with order or cleanliness, nibbles on objects when anxious or stressed

Daniel does this too, and also bites his nails, btw

Daniel gives candy to Marcela everytime he sees her!

Armando's glasses and tie represent him. When he takes the glasses off, he's being vulnerable. When he takes the tie off, he's in a pretty bad mental state

Somewhere in Ecomoda's digit archives is a 9 pages word document detailing everything that happened between Daniel and Patricia and how Olarte and her caused damage to Betty's computer. The fact that it exists to this day and no one ever found the truth tortures me lmao

As for my favorite headcanons! They're just little things I kinda think could be true about the characters but nothing was ever said or full states about it:

Nicolás can't cook at all, not even a simple scrambled egg, but he makes the best bread ever. Literally the only reason I think this is because his mom has a bakery

Margarita and Roberto were a little similar to Marcela and Armando when young (much younger than Marcela and Armando were during the show, which is why they're frustrated that they haven't outgrown that reckless "phase"). My only reason to like this idea is that Margarita insists that Marcela needs to be patient and wait and that men will always need a refuge and get tired eventually, like she knows what she's talking about; like she knows what that's like. Roberto also seems to cough a little uncomfortable when Margarita and him are talking to Armando and she says something about how she would have left Roberto if he had hired a hot secretary or something along those lines lmao and Ik thinking that Roberto was a womanizer in his youth is so weird because he seems such a down to earth mature man, but believe me, you'd be surprised how much a former womanizer can change with age lmao

Armando was very good with sports, and he specially liked contact ones like boxing

Marcela was definitely the type of little girl who waited besides the front door and jumped excitedly when she saw her dad come home. We know she was her dad's favorite, that's canon

Margarita and Susana were away for a big part of their children's childhood. I think this because Roberto says that during the early days of Ecomoda, Margarita and Susana were in charge of the interior design and the design of the collections, and also that they traveled a lot

Armando was a very troubled teenager. My reason to think this is that, well, just look at how he is in the novela, and now imagine him with all the raging hormones of a teen, probably slightly absent parents, and an underdeveloped frontal lobe lmaoooo

The Valencias' parents died when Marcela, Daniel, ans Beata were kids. I like this better than them dying when the Valencia's are adults. This is technically canon but also not because the novela literally onlh mentions their deaths in relation to their kids' age TWICE and ysblf still managed to contradict itselfffffff. But I like to think that Julio qnd Susana died when their kids were little because it would explain a lot of their kids' behavior: Daniel, after losing his parents at a young age and being the oldest and only male in the family, he tried to grow up too quickly which is why even when he actually became an adult he's pretty much a charicature of what a 13 yo would think as mature: very serios, snarky, sarcastic, apparently stoic, rude, overly sexual, etc. He pretty much got stuck as a teen. Marcela, being a daddy's girl and losing him so young, she became unheathily attached to Armando. Maria Beatriz, being so young when her parents died, just ignores the whole thing and has no big sentimental attachment to Ecomoda or the family in general like Marcela does.

Armando was a big source of comfort when Marcela's parents died. I like to think this because a) we know they've known each other their whole lives, b) Armando can actually be affectionate and tender with Marcela, as we see only like once at the very beginning of the show, and c) strictly related to my hc above, I think it could be in part how she found refuge in Armando when kids after her parents died that she became so obsessily attached

Armando and Marcela were an on-and-off/ situationship thing for years. Not like actual bf/gf, but more like that awkward tension and perhaps a few kisses here and there, some hand holding, all of that. Armando probably also wasn't sure about formalizing the relationship for a long, long time, and it also probably took a lot of convincing from Roberto and Margarita to finally take that step

So yeah! Those are a few canon and headcanons that I like a lot hahaha! Thank you for this lovely question!

Baby Wiwi (Wednesday) is laying on her tummy and playing with Little Raven, giggling now and then as the plushie makes little jokes purely for the little’s entertainment. Baby Eenie (Enid) is on the other side of the room playing with her Duplo Legos, happily making multicolored towers out of the blocks.

Eenie looks over at her girlfriend and watches her play with the plushie. She doesn’t have any proof and she hasn’t actually heard it at any point, but the little wolf swears that she’s seen the tiny seer have full, back and forth conversations with her stuffed bird. She knows there has to be something with Little Raven. But again, she has no proof. And Wiwi seems happy with Little Raven, so she’s not gonna do anything to take that away from her.

As Eenie watches Wiwi, she starts getting antsy, wanting to play with her girlfriend and Little Raven too! Eventually, Eenie’s social nature takes over and she anxiously crawls over to the tiny seer. She pulls out her paci and asks, “Wiwi?”

The shorter woman turns over onto her back clumsily to look at the werewolf, “Wes Eenie? Somefing wong?” (Yes Eenie? Something wrong?)

“Um no! I just wanna…” Eenie hesitates for a moment, knowing how protective Wiwi is over the raven plushie, “Can I holds Wittle Raven? Just for a second?”

Wiwi’s gut reaction is to say no right away and hold Little Raven close to her chest, but Little Raven whispers in her head before that.

C’mon Wednesday, you can let Enid hold me for a little bit, right? It’ll only be a second and you’ll be able to see me the whole time! And I’ll be with you the whole time too, I’ll stick around in your head while she holds me, so you won’t be alone for even a second! So can Enid hold me, Wednesday?

Wiwi considers for a moment, she trusts both Little Raven and Eenie. She knows neither of them would lie to her or break her trust. Eventually, Wiwi makes up her mind. She slowly sits up and looks the blonde little in the eyes, “Just… don’t huwt Wittle Waven, otay Eenie?”

“I pwomise, Wiwi,” Eenie nods seriously, taking her oath to not harm Little Raven more seriously than she’s ever taken anything in her life. And so, Wiwi carefully hands the plushie over to her girlfriend and Eenie handles her delicately, as if the plushie was made of delicate fine china, instead of cotton and polyester fabric. She pulls Little Raven close to her face, looking at her with deep fascination, and whispers, “Hi, Wittle Raven. I’m Eenie.”

Meanwhile, Daddy Yoko is watching everything from the baby monitor in the corner of the room and she laughs softly at the intense concentration on Enid’s face as she greets herself to the plush raven. She also is finding herself cooing almost nonstop at this absolutely adorable presentation of trust and love between her littles.

Back in the little’s bedroom/playroom, Wiwi starts getting a bit anxious not having Little Raven in her hands. Eenie notices, as does Little Raven, and so the wolf gives her back the plushie. Wiwi immediately grabs it and clutches Little Raven close to her chest. Eenie feels a little bad about keeping Wiwi from her best friend for so long, even though it was barely even a minute, and starts anxiously stimming, picking at her fingers.

Wiwi also notices and holds an arm out in open invitation, which Eenie accepts without any hesitation. And so Little Raven is caught, happily, in a tight hug between the littles. Eenie smiles warmly and whispers, “Thank you, Wiwi. I wuvs you.”

Wiwi burrows herself deeper in Eenie and whispers back, “Wuvs ou too, Eenie.” (Loves you too, Eenie.)

first off-- an apology :(( im really sorry for just disappearing. i hate it, you guys hate it. i know :( it's really my worst flaw when it comes to writing / tumblr in general, haha~ i get rlly into something and hyperfixate on it (fun fact: bound by blood was written in like 3 days bc i got so into it lol), and then a gradual fallout until i feel burnt out. which then leads to the whole "omg i left for so long, now im anxious that everyone is gonna hate me when i come back and cause i haven't updated in so long and yadda yadda" when i actually want to come back LMAOOOO. which i know isn't true, but like, you know AKSNDK. So i hung out on my anime blog for a bit, then on discord, blah blah blah boring stuff!!

I am back!! I was planning to come back for kinktober, actually, but unfortunately time just got away from me and I wasn't able to complete everything that I wanted to. This semester has been HECTIC!!! Senior thesis's are no joke, man, no joke. Feeding 600 spiders... every week.... BLEH!! (not cause of the spiders aksjhwfkh just cause it takes so long!! like!!)

That being said-- I don't have a current update schedule yet, just because I don't want to put too much pressure on myself again (burnout is a bitch!!) but~~ as of right now, I have plans for a "full comeback" (read: first fic) to come out the first week of November!! A little teaser of it will be at the bottom of this post too <33

Hopefully, if everything goes according to plan I will have a 'ficvember' (lol), where I post a fic every other week of November and December!! It is not set in stone (read as: I want to have a few fics lined up before I start just so I don't feel overwhelmed) but if everything goes according to plan, it will happen!! I'll make sure of it!!

i thought about this a lot a lol but i wanted the "finding out" plotline to be about their friends, which has no administrative/higher-up consequences. so i purposely made it so that, when akaashi tells her no in ch1 and explains that they shouldnt sleep together, he makes it about THEM and what would go wrong between THEM and their dynamic as coworkers if things were to go wrong. he doesnt bring the dept into it at all and i did that on purpose. although them sleeping together/having a sexual relationship isnt like against the rules or anything LMAO but they wont find out about the porn account either which i hope relieves your stress a little

I was wondering about how you feel about amw. From some of the posts when you came back, and some of the tags, I get the impression that it's not a fic you vibe with. Maybe bc your tastes/mindset has changed since you started it, that's definitely happened to me in what fic I prefer to read.

So I was wondering whether you dislike writing it bc the theme isn't something you find enjoyable to write anymore or bc you just don't like the story point blank, but we love it so you continue for us so it's finished and there's resolution for the amw readers. Or if it's bc you dislike having a fic in limbo that's partially posted for your own sake. Like, it's something that hangs over you, but if you finish it, it's finally done and it won't lurk in your thoughts any longer.

I know when I have a task to do, it hovers over me and if I don't do the thing, I start to get anxious about it. And the anxiety grows every time it pops into my thoughts, but once I cross it off my list, I feel *free* and able to breathe again.

I only ask bc sometimes it seems like you don't want to write it or that it's become an arduous task for you.

for me, all my words was honestly just supposed to be a one shot. and then it grew longer and longer and i was writing it alongside in the absence of a king which is my baby and (in my opinion) the best thing i've ever written so it was exhausting continuing the two together. especially because i dont think amw is good writing/my best writing. you can especially see that in the first few chapters, which are pretty directionless.

when i left on my hiatus i was dealing with a very tough situation with my family (which is still ongoing unfortunately) but i never truly planned on ever abandoning ITAOAK. i ALWAYS knew i was going to finish it, which is why i tried working on it as much as possible over the last two years. i wanted to especially finish it for me, bc like i said i loved it and i wrote it for myself and i was the ideal target audience lmaoooo

so in comparison - while i still definitely vibe with amw's concept/storyline - it just truly paled in comparison for ITAOAK. also i've always been worried about amw's ending. i know people have certain expectations for this kind of au and i..... have not written it the way people would want. like i said, it's unrealistic and not... great. so. that is still making me very nervous too.

ALSO i have new stories im excited for and just wanted to put those up right away and i was feeling trapped by amw being incomplete.

that being said - i am so unbelievably grateful for everyone's support and the fact that people still want to read it. it definitely played a huge part in me continuing the story and now i can move on in peace with zero unfinished works!!! 😍🤗💖

Momina's favourite physical trait is her eyes! It's the thing she gets complimented the most on [if not that, it's her entire face] it slowly became her favourite physical trait. [Along with her face...she thinks she's a real cutie patootie thanks to being hyped up.]

Uh...Momina has multiple physical traits that would have her standout on the streets of Namimori tbh. Her skin tone? Hair? [Mostly when braided.] Boobs?! I feel like if you ask her friends in Namimori it'd be her smile! Ask Colonnello and it's her buck teeth.

12☆. Has your character gone through major stylistic or physical changes?

Like me with Momina or did Momina herself? Either way I would say yes. For me with Momina, she has gone through changes! I do like the idea of her having weight fluctuations but I've changed her size multiple times lmaoooo. I go back and forth,back and forth. I have internalized fatphobia and other reasons go into this!

As for Momina's actual style. When she was at home, she dressed a bit differently. Cute and casual, I'd say but once she got to Namimori and had full control of her fashion and style she went extremely cutesy. Think lolita fashion, fairy kei. It didn't help she didn't know of these subcultures before coming here. She loves designing clothes too so Haru teaching her how to sew led to her creating clothes her style as well.

Oh, also her hair length went through changes as well! Settled on her having long and then longer hair, though.

16☆. Is your character's appearance more telling or deceiving?

Gonna be real with you, chief, I'm kinda not understanding this. I suppose you're asking if her appearance fits her personality or not? I suppose so! Momina is someone who is very honest, they don't like lying, doesn't lie well and gets anxious at the idea of lying because that involves having a good memory [in their head] which makes them panic because they're memory is dookie. They also look like someone who'd be like that so I suppose more telling!

I do a variety of things, but music is always a big help! Reading is a typical one, but when I read something I really love it can feed the creative well for yearsss! TV shows or movies that relate to the project in vibe also helps. Usually I have some sort of hyperfixation media related to the project, lmao, so I usually turn to that too!

17. THE STAR: HOPE (What keeps you writing/querying/editing when things seem darkest?) 

Honestly, I've been at the absolute low with my writing and what keeps me going is knowing that I don't have to go back there if I make certain changes to how I view my work. I've been able to let go of embarrassment, fear, etc, a lot more in the last couple of years, and it's done my process WONDERS. I shared a HUGE unedited, first draft excerpt of Seventh Virtue in my latest writing vlog and while I was like "lol this is embarrassing," I was able to accept the discomfort and keep going. IT'S SO FREEING!!! YAAAS write badly!!!

18. THE MOON: FEAR (What worries you most about your future writing career? What are you anticipating?) 

HAHAH I don't know if it's because I'm graduating and because I'm graduating it feels like my "career" (writing related and not writing related) needs to START, but I've been so panicked about my future writing career. It feels like I can't just keep going how I am because isn't it time to publish a novel (lmao let's ignore the fact that I am choosing NOT to publish my novels rn lmao). A couple months ago, I was half asleep and was clearly having some anxious rumination, but out of nowhere, my near-unconscious mind just went, "you don't ever have to publish anything ever again," and that just... helped so much. I've been meaning to make a poster of it and hang it by my desk! All that goes to say I think I'm most afraid of falling behind, which is dumb because I'm already quite successful??? lmaoooo falling behind where???

19. THE SUN: POSITIVITY (What is your greatest writing strength or skill?)

Oooh! I honestly think my greatest strength and skill is that I'm no longer as tethered to perfectionism. I know that's not conventional, but the absolute WONDERS moving past perfectionism has done for my writing, it beats how good I am at descriptions, etc!

I want to make a joke about the wisemen carving a swastika in that little boy's chest, but I once dealt with someone who thought, no matter the context, the swastika was a horrible symbol, like even when used in a Buddhist context. She was annoying for other reasons unrelated to this.

Another solid stand aline episode. Four more left in season 2, and then I'll be in territory I haven't watched, event though I literally remember nothing from my first viewing of seasons 1 & 2 before.
