My inconsequential pet peeve with the dragon age fandom is the erasure of male Lavellan and the assumption all Lavellans romanced Solas. And that's the devs' fault cause like Solas should be a bi option or AT LEAST discuss the vallasin (i am not looking up how to spell that) thing with male Lavellans also. But that didn't happen soooooooo like...I don't do bald dudes and I like to play as funny little guys. Where is my funny little guy Lavellan rep???? Something I've seen a couple people saying is that they want to make sure that Laudna understands that she's not the only one who has been through trauma. But like. Laudna is not the only one who needs to learn that lesson. Actually, it's not even that Laudna needs to learn that she's not the only one that's been through trauma at all, because they're all very aware of what they've all been through. This became an inevitable confrontation when Laudna decided to let Delilah back in, though, and after rewatching the scene, I actually think the only people who managed this situation correctly were Imogen* and Ashton.

Orym and Laudna are both more focused on their own pasts with the sword and not thinking about each other. Orym should have talked to the group and come to a decision with them about using the sword and Laudna should have talked to him about it instead of trying to steal it.

*my feelings about this are still up in the air don't read into this too much

Introducing (some of) Darkwick's Tabletop Club

I really wanted to take a stab at making some gen admission students to be in a tabletop club at Darkwick and these three crawled out of my brain. I have a hc that Kaito is also in the club (he's super into it but also way ashamed of it) but I didn't include him because I was lazy TT-TT I do want to draw all of them playing a game together someday though!

Anyways here's way more information on them than I need to share:

All three of them are super into ttrpgs, but also dabble in LARP. Hana is usually the one who likes running games, but they do swap turns with Nakamura being a close second frequent DM.

Very unlikely friends given house rivalries and their own personalities, but somehow it works well?

Actually the house choices are funny because originally I was going to make Hana a Mortkranken student because she's studious. But then I was like "haha wouldn't it be funny if she was actually a mechanical engineer in Vagastrom" so I moved her. Also I don't think there are any women shown in Vagastrom in game??? Which sucks because I would love to see some. Also, the little writing and designs on her skirt are inspired by sukeban skirts!

Punzie is in Hotarubi because she's an aspiring tattoo artist. She's super dedicated to it actually, and she has a particular interest in pulling influence from traditional works for tattoos. The tattoos on her thighs were supposed to reference a specific kabuki play but they sort of devolved into doodles. She looks way more intimidating than she actually is. Her favorite class to play is Cleric.

Nakamura is in Sinostra. I don't have a particular reason- he's sort of cunning? He does well working as a dealer in the casino because he has a sort of baby face that seems to make people trust him (or the opposite- people swing one way or the other with nearly no in between). He's pretty self-interested when it comes to work, but he can be surprisingly supportive of those he's fond of. Kaito usually avoids going to Nakamura's tables like the plague, but on the rare instance they do end up in a game together Nakamura has enough mercy to slip him a couple small wins. He likes playing rogues and/or barbarians.

i'ma keep it real w y'all. most of the hazbin and helluva boss designs aren't actually that bad. and i think a lot of the ragging on them is just because y'all don't like the source material. and i also think a lot of the nitpicking on them is because in lieu of other shit to pick at tumblr users tend to double down on saying the aesthetics of something are bad and most of the people saying this shit haven't actually watched the shows 🤷‍♂️

Sometimes I just think about Soi Fon. Like that shit was so insane. Easily one of The characters of all time. You’re going to give me a woman who hates the physical manifestation of her soul because it’s loud and explosive and she doesn’t think it’s “proper” that it suits her, but it’s so obvious it does because she’s angry and stubborn and loud and explosive!!! And then the fact that she never ever calls upon that physical manifestation of her soul until things are so dire it’s practically that or death? The fact that in so many ways she lets her emotions build and build and build until they quite literally explode???? And then!!! AND THEN!!!! Add in that she hates her bankai because it’s “inappropriate” for an assassin… for her role as captain of the Stealth Force… the position she inherited from Yoruichi after she abandoned Soul Society for Urahara… She despises the physical manifestation of her explosive nature, the nature she hides until she can’t, just like she shoved down her feelings for Yoruichi, the betrayal, the hurt, the love, until she quite literally couldn’t anymore and it all came back up in a BANG!!! Like god… oh my god, no one will ever do it again and kubo did not deserve such a cool fucking character in the least
