Hey, do any of you people remember that one tf2 comic where soldier is talking to a bunch of wooden cutouts thinking they’re real people? You had long since lost track of what Captain John Price was yelling in your face. Yes, you had almost gotten yourself killed on the latest mission. Did you regret it when you realized you’d have a limp for a bit? Yes. Did you regret it now, hearing that gruff accented voice directed at you? Hell no.

Even during debriefs, you could get lost in the gentle rumble of his voice. But this right now was something different. His words were biting, filled with an intensity that you normally only saw in the midst of missions- not on base and not directed at you.

You bit down on the soft plush of your bottom lip and a moment of silence settles over you. His icy blue eyes bore into yours. It’s like staring down a dog that’s about to snap its teeth at you again. Needing to fill the silence, you gave a quick response, “What was that last part, sir?” This’ll piss him off more but that’s what you want.

He stares at you a moment, processing your audacity before exploding once again. “Bloody fuckin’ hell, Sergeant! You don’t listen to me here, you don’t listen to me on the field. It’s a fuckin’ miracle you’ve survived this long. Pull that shit again, I dare ya, girl. What the fuck is wrong with you?” His voice is a low growl as he steps closer, like he’s about to reach for the back of your neck and jostle some sense into you.

Your cheeks are flushed at this point. There’s no denying that or the subtle ache between your legs. You let out a slow breath, spotting movement in your peripheral and meeting Soap’s gaze. He seems to see right through you, a cocky smirk on his face. “She’s got the hots for ya, Cap’n. Tha’s wha’s wrong with her.”

Price stares at you a moment more, completely taken aback as he reassesses you. And then he turns around, muttering something about not getting paid enough. You stand there mortified before chasing off after Soap to berate him for outing you like that.

There were issues between Scotland and England. Ireland and England. Even Wales and England. Richard didn't know enough to know if the issues between Mexico and the US were similar or not. But the sort of Americans Grant was talking about were who Richard assumed most people thought of when they made fun of Americans. Loud bullies. Richard shook his head, this time in disbelief rather than amusement. "I don't know how you managed to deal with that so well. It sounds unhinged." Unhinged and unfair to deal with. Richard should have probably stopped to think about what he said next, what it might reveal about him, but he did not. "Is that why you're always taking selfies at the White House, to mess with them?"

Grant smiled even wider, a little thrill going down his spine when Richard said the word menace out loud. It was just fun saying things that made Richard react at that. Like poking at something Grant enjoyed poking at. Making Richard laugh felt a little like that too, getting real reactions out of someone so determined to be bland probably wouldn't stop being a little thrilling. He let out a dry laugh at Richard's reply. "You would think. I mean, Mexico is part of North America, but it's not part of the United States. And there's a lot of people there who like to loudly remind everyone of that, never mind how many Americans speak Spanish. Those people are all horrified a half-Mexican guy bilingual guy like me even gets to sleep in the White House. The good news is that's exactly the kind of asshole I like to piss off, so," Grant shrugged. He was used to it. It was fun sometimes, watching them all be pissed about his presence. It also pissed him off, how much more scrutiny he got.

Video game I saw in a dream. It was in this low poly style like an older video game. You play as this character I think was meant to be a lamb, or maybe a weird mix of a lamb a mouse and a rabbit, (while not really looking like any of those things) and you’re running away from a wolf. Your objective is to last as long as possible before the wolf catches and eats you.

The house you’re running in is endless and bizarrely put together like most building interiors in dreams are (like the infinite toilet dream dimension on Reddit lol) the layout of the house is pretty detailed, you can stop and hide in places like closets or bins while the wolf looks for you, you can go up and down stairs and into rooms etc.

You never actually know where the wolf is or how close it is to you until it appears in your line of sight, it makes no noise and the game gives you no way of knowing where it is, and it’s pretty unpredictable it doesnt move at a consistent pace. When the wolf catches you there’s an animation showing it eating your character
