Just got done with a piece I can't share yet so I'm in sneaking some art that I wanna do before I reopen for commissions. And shockingly, at least TWO other human beings wanted to see him, too, so I made a little reference for my headcanon Shadow design! As a treat <3

Not part of an AU or anything this is just what he looks like in my heart

Some dumb assorted headcanons I have for him under the cut(should you want those):

The fifth inhibitor on his neck does much less work than the other four and can be removed safely for an extended time. He doesn't make a habit of removing it, though.

He's realistically only about 20% hedgehog, and that's being generous. His genetic make up reads something like, "16% hedgehog, 68% Black Arms, and around 16% various other animal DNA to bridge the gap between them. He exhibits very few hedgehog behaviors aside from curling up, raising his quills and making that godawful engine revving noise when he feels threatened.

Tail lashes when he's angry or focused.

He doesn't have 'true' spines. Where say, Sonic's spines would be a solid grouping of quills forming the shape, Shadow has something more akin to fleshy horns with fur and quills covering them.

Has a tapetum lucidum that reflects yellow in the light.

Oddly at home in the water.

His fur is only this shiny during periods he's taking decent care of himself (rare).

An amount of genetic editing was done to ensure he expressed softer traits; His scales are soft and smooth, his fur is sleek, and his quills aren't that sharp. Though he was required to be a weapon, the professor ensured he'd still be an acceptable amount of cuddly as Maria's medical support animal.

Can absolutely breath fire. He is Black Arms after all.

Any headcannons for what Cersei would wear throughout her evolution? (from girl at Casterly Rock and Kingslanding to young bride to queen to whatever is going on at the end for AFFC) Love your stuff💕

Tiny Cersei was always dressed in the latest fashions, to the point that her clothes were cumbersome and heavy. She was more heavily dressed than most of the grown women at court, with her fancy brocade panels, pearl lined hoods, and large sleeves. Joanna was very adamant that she look like and behave in a way becoming for a young noblewoman, so Cersei was not allowed the relative laxity children are sometimes given.

As a teenager, Cersei started wearing the fashions of the Reach, as some minor act of rebellion because she found the stifling clothing of the Westerlands boring and prudish. She liked the low cut of the neckline and the excess of fabric in the sleeves and all the gilded lining and embroidery. And she definitely liked the way people looked at her in awe. She wore these until her early marriage too, and everyone copied the modern fashions of the stylish young queen.

Once Cersei starts immediately hating her life, she ditches the fashions of her teenage years and goes back to something more reminiscent of her childhood at The Rock. It's not the exact same, its far more frillier and angular than the smoothness of the clothing of her youth (think the transition from Tudor to Elizabethan fashion, or like mid 1500s to later 1500s), but the general shape reminds her of her youth and mother, and the sheer weight and discomfort of the clothing gives her some kind of sick comfort. Being the narcissist (affectionate) she is, she likes whatever can give her attention and spark jealousy in others. Heavy and patterned bright colored fabric, stiff lace collars, excessive beading, and large skirts for days. She dresses like this for most of the current timeline, and it gets increasingly more garish, until she's arrested at the end of AFFC

And after her atonement, she does a complete 180. Dressing like an old spinster from the stormlands. Her shaved head almost always covered, essentially all of her gowns are shapeless. The only thing that puts her apart from the septas is that her clothing is still decorated and colorful, but much less so than her old wardrobe. This shift is half forced on her by the faith and half chosen as a sort of security response after being harassed and humiliated.

The fluffy black patches are the result of mosaicism! basically Survivor has 2 sets of DNA (aka being a chimera). in animals like cats, this can result in otherwise impossible color/fur texture combinations (such as a shorthaired cat having longhaired patches).

Also Survivor has so many scars bc she wants to fight!!! She has a knack for sensing danger but just bc she knows it's there doesn't mean she makes smart decisions when dealing with it lol

So anyway, until the show says otherwise, my Ortegas headcanon is that she had a nice happy childhood with supportive parents whom she loves very much, they're alive and well and living on Earth teaching high school math or some other mundane but fulfilling job that won't get them brutally murdered, she calls them every week. She joined Starfleet because space is cool and starships are shiny and neat. After the war she went to therapy and worked through her shit and she's mostly okay except being racist against Klingons. When the series ends she gets promoted and reassigned to some cool ship doing some cool shit somewhere else and not horribly killed.

Dragonlords/ladies are born with the dormant soul of a dragon. When they reach age five, they take part in a naming ceremony. They are placed in an enclosed space with a dragon egg and surrounded by flames that burn as they form a bond with the dragon inside the egg. The dragon’s name will form in their mind and fall from their lips before they can truly comprehend it. Instantly, the dragon egg will begin to hatch and the dragonsoul within the child is awakened and as the flames lick at their bodies, dragonfire ignites within them. Their dragon features form - scales, claws, fangs, and wings. Their sight and hearing improves and with the dragonfire in their soul, they can breathe fire on command.

The new Dragonlord/lady will emerge from the flames with their dragon on their shoulder and will be hailed as the next in their family line to take the title of Dragonlord/lady. For example, when Balinor of Ambrosius married Nerys of Draigwen and sired their child, they had a daughter - Ganieda. When Ganieda performed her naming ceremony, she was hailed as the next Dragonlady of the Draigwen line. The eldest child of the line will carry the title of Dragonlord/lady in accordance with which if their parents carries the gift.

As Nerys was the Dragonlady of family Draigwen, he daughter carried on the gift. Since Balinor and Nerys could not try for a son to carry on the gift of Dragonlord of the Ambrosius line, Balinor was to be the last. However, after the Purge, Balinor found himself on a farm in a small village called Ealdor with a woman named Hunith. Their time together was short but the attraction they felt was genuine and before long, Hunith came to be with child. Balinor did not learn he was to have a child before he moved on but in nine months, Hunith gave birth to a baby boy - Merlin. He carried the dormant soul of a dragon and since he did not have his naming ceremony at five, he carried on through life cold and incomplete.

When Merlin finally found a dragon egg to hatch, he was in his twenties and found the transition from mortal man to Dragonlord quite staggering for the changes were why Dragonlords/ladies were named so young. With Merlin’s naming ceremony, the Ambrosius line lived on. Balinor, under the impression that Uther and his knights destroyed his home and slaughtered his family, believed himself to be alone. Just as Ganieda, who watched Camelot knights burn her home and kill her aunts, uncles, and cousins, believed her father, who had been visiting Camelot, dead.

However, all three are out in the realm with their dragons - Balinor with Kilgharrah, Ganieda with Lykos, and Merlin with Aithusa. The last two Dragonlord/lady lines - Ambrosius and Draigwen. Maybe one day Ganieda and Merlin will be able to meet and bond as long lost brother and sister. Maybe Balinor will be able to have both of his children together. Maybe Ganieda will be able to form her new family with her father and brother.
