Yes, I did change the way I draw them, again...

Survivor and Monk are young adults. They are slimmer than their peers due to them surviving alone for a rather long time and making mistakes when gathering and finding food, which led to either starving or not eating nearly enough regularly

Monk has a lot of slugpup traits (Big eyes, rounder head and shorter tail), which makes it look much, much less threatening. Unfortunately not all rain world creatures are charmed by this

Homesick

(English is not my first language)

Shoreline was strangely quiet this cycle. Maybe a few lazy creatures got eaten and filled the stomachs of most active predators? Or perhaps they are too busy fighting eachother to bother hunting right now? Who knows

This cycle was long. Drawn out almost. Sun condemningly looked down on soggy, messy earth below. The mist was too stubborn to leave lungs of any creature that inhaled it, accidently almost chocking them. Waves quietly waited for their next meal

And there, hidden in a 'cavern' made of trash, dead plants and wet soil, sat a little yellow creature. Its eyes big, coloured by the waves, walls of trash and sunlights shine. It was meant to leave soon, but for whatever reason it didn't. Well, it dosen't matter anyway - right now little creature can afford to bask in safety. Tiny yellow slugcat should cherish such moments

But it couldn't

There was nothing to worry about, nothing to do for little slugcat. It was full, it was safe...

..It was lonely

It stared at the water and saw something stare back at it. Its yellow and big, with lost black eyes and small nose. Tiny slugcat was confused - are waves playing with it? Are they so bored they decided to trick a poor creature, whom is so insignificant compared to the mighty waves? Or are they indifferent as always?

It looked closely. Of course the reflection should be of the tiny slugcat. Yet it wasn't. It couldn't be

The reflection felt familiar. It felt warm, welcoming in a way. A piece of a sweet little dream slipped into reality

Was the big slugcats family happy to see it so big and strong? So round and yet still so agile? Were they happy to see its bright coat and shiny eyes? Were they happy to see the big slugcat grow so much? Were they happy to share their food and warmth with it after so, so many long cycles of being separated?

Ah. What a happy big slugcat with a happy family it is. Hunting, gathering and playing together. Helping and grieving together. Searching and being lost together

What would the big yellow slugcat do without them? What could the big yellow slugcat do without them? Would they miss it? And would it miss them?

It didn't bother thinking about such silly things - it would never be alone and lost. It will always be with its family

After some rw discussions I completely changed my views on its whole ecosystem and creatures. And I love this game even more now

.. Except the part where I would probably need to redesign and rethink everything. And if this new understanding is even true for downpour or not...

..I swear to God this game transcends realities just to make you suffer
