I’m right about Eggman being terrible at cooking because he doesn’t have to know how in order to have robots that can. he can program to do things he can’t by downloading the info into them from various sources instead of trying to read how to prepare certain foods and recipes himself.

I also headcanon that he can come up with his own versions of food like what’s sold at Eggmanland but he can’t actually cook it by himself. but he's the only one that likes them regardless because they're so specifically catered to his exact unique tastes that nobody else shares

the cooking with Eggman videos on the official YouTube supports him being awful in the kitchen since he throws random shit into a bowl and a lot of inedible shit like glass bowls (I guess he lovs the cronch I don’t fucking know lmfao), nuts/bolts/screws, chaos emeralds, rings, springs, a pocket watch, LED lights- and don’t even get me started on the absolute state of the food in the Thanksgiving video lol

they even referenced Unleashed in those videos by having motor oil poured into the food! sometimes the ending result looked like an absolute mess but other times it looked kinda okay. but you still shouldn’t dare to eat it when he’s been putting random inedible shit in it just because he could make it at least look good. do not trust this man to make food djnsdkfdnhg

also take into consideration that he consistently has no idea wtf he’s doing with it because this man literally tried to serve a tree stump and mud pie in X. was he actually planning on eating some of that himself? the steaming tree stump and the literal mud pie? are you okay

but again I'm saying it's worth seeing him try to get him in a cute frilly apron like that 👀💜💕

BEARS DON’T EAT THAT, IVO lmfao go get some berries or fish god damn! but you see, Eggman doesn’t have the time to find edible berries and would probably settle for something poisonous (I mean I have the cursed hc that he can process small amounts of poison so that might be okay but it depends sjkdadkkdghfsghd) and he absolutely doesn’t have the patience for fishing

I guess when it comes to fishing he could go literal bear mode like “I CAN SWIM, I’LL GRAB THIS SLIPPERY BASTARD MYSELF” and he just jumps in to fucking grab the fish because they’re gonna have a hard time escaping the harsh grip of his big fucking bear paws if he can catch up with it dsakjdfsfngdfhdfgh

I like to emphasize that he's bad at it even further with the headcanon that he can even struggle with food that just needs heating. he gets frustrated with the hassle of trying to read and understand instructions because he just wants to eat damn it! (in his defense, he can't read instructions if the text is too small)

I headcanon that the most he can prepare are sandwiches when he absolutely has to, which he doesn't hate doing because he can make it as big as he wants and put even more fillings than his robots usually do. also he can prepare eggs in various ways because that's important for him to know but that's it.

so you can at least expect to see him flipping eggs like this. just hope he doesn't drop them lol

it’s different for Boom btw because it seemed that he can cook/bake pretty well in Boom and everyone did like his tomato sauce. I think that's another funny opposite for modern and Boom to have XD
