Just for Meeting You

Just for Meeting You (China, 2023)
Director: Liu Yulin
Writers: Fan Wenwen & Hu Shuxin (based on the novel by Zhang Haochen)
Mini-review:
I had been looking forward to this movie for a while, cause I really like the leading pair. Having just watched it, I must say it was... okay. I enjoyed it, and it's certainly not a bad movie: the writing and the directing are solid, and the acting is actually great. However, the story is just not particularly brilliant; it's funny, but not riotous; the dramatic parts work, but they don't reach the heartrending levels I expected. What makes the movie work is definitely the chemistry between Liu Haocun and Song Weilong. I've always been a pretty big fan of these actors, and they make such a great couple. Plus their work in the film is so beautiful and natural; there's not a single false note in their performances. So yeah, Just for Meeting You might not be groundbreaking or anything like that, but it's worth-watching for its two leads.

The Liu clan of Nanyang (HHS)
[HHS001]
The Epochal Founder [shizu], the Glorious and Martial [guangwu] August Emperor, taboo Xiu, courtesy name Wenshu, was a native of Caiyang in Nanyang. He descended from Gaozu in nine generations, springing from Emperor Jing, who begot King Ding of Changsha, Fa. Fa begot Marquis Jie of Chonglnig, Mai. Mai begot the Grand Warden of Yulin, Wai. Wai begot the Chief Commandant of Julu, Hui. Hui begot the Prefect of Nandun, Qin. Qin begot Guangwu.
Guang was orphaned at the age of nine sui, and was raised by his junior uncle Liang. He was seven chi, three cun tall, had pleasing whiskers and eyebrows, a big mouth, arched nose, and “sun horn”.
Zheng Xuan's Commentary to the Hallowed Documents' Central Expectations says: With “sun horn” is meant that the bone is raised in middle of the courtyard, and shaped like the sun.
He was by nature attentive to sowing and harvesting while his older brother Bosheng was fond of chivalry and supporting gentlemen, and who often sneered at Guangwu for his devotion to farming business, comparing him to Gaozu's older brother's Zhong. In the middle of Wang Mang's Tianfeng era [14 – 19 AD], he then went to Chang'an and received the Hallowed Documents and had a general understanding of the great right-mindedness.
The Eastern Watchtower Records says: He received the Hallowed Documents from the Middle Grandee Xu Ziwei of Lujiang. When his wealth was used up, he combined his money with his fellow student Master Han to buy a donkey, and made an attendant rent it out to provide for their public expenses.
[HHS010]
The Glorious and Ardent [guanglie] August Empress Yin, taboo Lihua, was a native Xinye in Nanyang. At first when Guangwu had gone to Xinye, he heard of the Empress's beauty, and in his heart was pleased with her. Later when he arrived in Chang'an, he saw that the chariots and cavalry of the Bearer of the Golden Baton were very abundant. Following that, he sighed and said:
Serving in officialdom, [I] must make Bearer of the Golden Baton, taking a wife [I] must get Yin Lihua.
[HHS014]
The Martial [wu] King of Qi, Yan, courtesy name Bosheng, was Guangwu's oldest brother. He was by nature tough and resolute, had a righteous fortitude and great steadfastness. From Wang Mang usurped Han he was always fuming with fury, and he held close contemplations of restoring the altars of soil and grain. He did not engage in the businesses of the people of his family, but poured out his person and expended his property, and made connections with the valiant paragons Under Heaven.
…
Earlier, the Lord of Nandun took as wife the daughter of Fan Zhong from the same commandery, her courtesy name was Xiandu. Xiandu was by nature gentle and compliant since she was a little girl. If improper in appearance or dress, she did not leave her room. The clan respected her. She bore three sons and three daughters: The oldest boy was Bosheng, next Zhong, next Guangwu. The oldest daughter was Huang, next Yuan, next Boji.
…
The Filial [xiao] King of Zhao, Liang, courtesy name Cibo, was Guangwu's junior uncle. In the time of Emperor Ping, he was recommended as Filial and Upright, and became Prefect of Xiao. When Guangwu and his brothers were orphaned young, Liang consoled them with considerable sincerity.
…
The King of Sishui, Xi, courtesy name Jingsun, was Guangwu's senior kinsman, of his father's generation. Xi's son was Zhong, he and Guangwu as young were close to and fond of each other.
…
The Respectful [gong] King of Chengyang, Zhi, courtesy name Jubo, was the son Guangwu's senior kinsman, the Hale [kang] Marquis of Chongling, Chang.
The Eastern Watchtower Records: In the beginning he was named Zhong. Later he changed it to Zhi.
Chang's great grandfather was the Steadfast [jie]Marquis, Mai. As the son of King Ding of Changsha he was ennobled at Chongling district in Liandao, and became Marquis of Chongling. When Mai passed, his son the Esteemed [dai] Marquis, Xiongqu, inherited. When Xiongqu passed, his son the Accomplished [kao] Marquis, Ren, inherited.
Ren, since conditions of the lands of Chongling were low-lying and damp, and the mountains and forest had venomous aura, sent up a letter seeking to reduce his estate and move inwards.
The Eastern Watchtower Records says: The Accomplished Marquis, Ren, at the time had 476 households. He sent up a letter desiring to reduce the number of households and move to Nanyang, while keeping his son Chang behind to ward the family tombs. Emperor Yuan allowed it.
Ren passed, his son Chang inherited.
Chang was unassuming, moderate, and fond of right-mindedness. He fully pushed forward the gold, treasure, wealth, and property from his father's time as gifts to his brothers. The Inspector of Jing province sent up his righteous actions, and he was designated Chief Commandant of Lujiang.
The Continued Book of Han said: The Marquis and others assisted the sacrifices in the Bright Hall [mingtang], and in accordance with precedent, he had added 200 households. Chang for having acted righteously, was designated Chief Commandant of Lujiang.
After about a year, it happened that his senior kinsman, the Marquis of Anzhong, Liu Chong, rose up with troops. [Liu Chong was another descendant of King Ding of Changsha.] Wang Mang dreaded and detested the Liu clan. He summoned Chang to Chang'an, and dismissed him to go home to his state.
The Eastern Watchtower Records says: Chang presided over Lujiang for more than a year. A drought happened. Patrolling the counties, people would bring withered rice plants, telling themselves that the rice plants were all withered. The functionaries forcefully demanded the taxes. Chang in response said:
The Grand Warden's affair.
He conveyed the withered rice plants to where the Grand Warden was. They had been drinking several rounds when he told it to the Grand Warden. The Grand Warden said:
It is nothing.
Chang showed him the withered rice plants. The Grand Warden said:
Is it the Chief Commandant's affair?
Chang angrily scolded the Grand Warden, saying:
Rat, how dare you!
The Inspector reported it in a memorial. Mang summoned Zhi to Chang'an, and dismissed him to go to his state.
Before this, in the time of Emperor Ping, Chang and Chong had gone to court at the Imperial Capital together, and assisted the sacrifices at the Bright Hall. Chong saw that Mang was about to imperil the House of Han, and privately spoke to Chang, saying:
The Duke of Anhan monopolizes the state's authority, the crowd of subjects do nothing but turn around and follow. The overturning of the altars of soil and grain has arrived. The Empress Dowager Chunqiu is of exalted [age] and the Son of Heaen is young and weak. The reason why August Emperor Gao allotted fiefs to his sons and brothers was presumably this.
Chang in his heart considered it to be so. When Chong's affair was defeated, Chang was afraid, and he therefore wished to make connections and guide and set up a faction. He therefore made Zhi take as wife the daughter of the Marquis of Gaoling, Zhai Xuan.
The Eastern Watchtower Records says: Chang made his son by his legal wife, Zhong, take Xuan's daughter Xi as wife. Xuan sent his son by his legal wife Ji to send of his daughter to enter the gates. After about twenty days, Yi rose with troops.
It happened that Xuan's younger brother Yi rose with troops and wished to attack Mang. In Nanyang they arrested and killed Xuan's daughter. Zhi was implicated, bound up, and imprisoned. Chang following that sent up a letter apologizing for the crime, and desiring to lead his sons, brothers, and clansmen as soldiers in the vanguard. Mang had newly assumed the administration and wished to comfort and calm the imperial house. For that reason he was not mutilated or killed.
When Mang usurped the throne, those of the Liu clan who had been marquises were all demoted be called counts, with revenue as the benefice of a Solitary Dignitary. Later everyone lost their feudal ranks. When Chang passed, Zhi consequently specially was deposed, and also did not get an official position or become a functionary.
Zhi, though the son of the former Marquis, Chang, acted genuinely and full-hearted, the lineage house all respected him.
…
The Filial [xiao] Marquis of Chengwu, Shun, courtesy name Pingzhong, was Guangwu's senior kinsman. His father Qing, Continued Book of Han: Qing, courtesy name Weng'ao,was the Marquis of Chongling, Chang's full younger brother. Shun and Guangwu were from the same village, and at a young age had a deep friendship with each other.
…
The Cherished [huai] Marquis of Shunyang, Jia, courtesy name Xiaosun, was Guangwu's senior kinsman. His father Xian was the Marquis of Chongling, Chang's full younger brother. The Continued Treatise of Han says: Xian, courtesy name Wengjun. Jia was orphaned early. He was by nature humane and deep-felt. The Lord of Nandun raised and look upon him as a son. Later he and Bosheng studied in Chang'an together, and practised the Hallowed Documents and Spring and Autumn.
[HHS011]
Liu Xuan, courtesy name Shenggong, was a senior kinsman of Guangwu. His younger brother was killed by a person, and Shenggong connected with retainers, wishing to revenge him. A retainer broke the law, and Shenggong hid from the magistrate in Pinglin [lit. “Flat Forest”]. The magistrate arrested Shenggong's father Zizhang. Shenggong pretended to die and sent people to carry the coffin to return home to Chongling. The magistrate therefore let Zizhang go, and Shenggong following that escaped and went into hiding.
The Records of Emperors and Kings says: Marquis Dai of Chongling, Xiongqu, begot the Grand Warden of Cangwu, Li. Li begot Zizhang. He took a daughter from the He clan of Pinglin and begot Gengshi.
The Continued Book of Han says: At the time Shenggong assembled retainers, his home had wine, and he requested a patrol officer drink. A retainer drunkenly sang the words “In the morning we feasted the two chief commandants. The patrol officer comes after, use him to tune the soup's taste.” The patrol officer was greatly angered, he tied him up and beat him several hundred times.
[HHS014]
The Filial [xiao] Marquis of Ancheng, Ci, courtesy name Ziqin, was Guangwu's senior kinsman. His grandfather Li was Grand Warden of Cangwu. Ci was orphaned young. His older brother Xian avenged an enmity by killing a person. A functionary arrested Xian and killed him. Ci and Xian's son Xin sold the fields and dwellings, together throw away wealth and property, and connected with retainers to seek revenge against the functionary. Both became fugitives to escape and lay low. There happened to be an amnesty and they returned home.
The Continued Book of Han says: In the time of Wang Mang, the Lius were repressed and discarded, and were intruded on by the commanderies and counties. In Caiyang state the Chief of Scouts for Fu Precinct got drunk and scolded Gengshi's father Zizhang. Zizhang was furious, and stabbed and killed the Chief of Scouts. More than ten years later, the Chief of Scout's son killed Gengshi's younger brother Qian. Ci's younger brother Xian wished to avenge the enmity. His retainers turned to kidnapping a person, and they were discovered. Province and commandery killed Xian within the prison. Ci and Xian's son Xin connected with retainers Chen Zheng and others, nine people, and burnt and killed the Precinct Chief's wife and children, four people.

"There is a saying called survival of the fittest. In fact, it should be the survival of the stable. What does it mean? It means that I am surrounded by thousands of enemy troops, but I remain unmoved!"
"As the saying goes, 'good qi is stored in the body, and evil cannot be affected.' When the righteous qi in the human body is sufficient, the defense is strong, like a copper wall and an iron arm, evil cannot invade, and all germs, viruses, external and internal disease interference can be blocked. "
Let him be strong, let him be strong, the breeze blows on the hills, let him be at his mercy, the bright moon shines on the river, he is cruel to himself, he is evil to himself, I am so angry!
The human body will develop active and natural resistance to external aggression and internal pressure. We call it adaptation and resistance!
Do you have any personal experiences such as:
You accidentally cut your finger while cutting fruit. You go to the hospital to apply medicine, disinfect and bandage. It will take about a week or so and it will be cured. However, you can't go to the hospital every time. Once in a while, if you don't bandage or apply medicine, will the wound heal in about a week?
I had scabies on my face, which was very uncomfortable, but after three or four days, did the scabies disappear inexplicably?
If you catch a cold, go to the hospital for injections, medicine and water, and you’ll be fine in about three days. If you don’t get injections, fluids, or medicine, will it be fine in about three days?
Hippocrates said: "Whoever wants to cure his illness is best to rely on the healing power of nature."
"To give another small example, if you accidentally scratch your skin and it bleeds, what should you do now? When you are anxious, you will find that the bleeding has stopped, and then the wound will scab on its own. After a period of time, the scabs will fall off and the skin will basically return to its original appearance without any traces.”
"The reason why all of this can be done without our knowledge is because the human body has a strong self-healing instinct - self-healing ability."
“And how can we mobilize the body’s own self-healing instinct?
Chinese medicine!
This is what Chinese medicine is good at!
Big Rooster realized from this: All things return to their origin, and the world is unified. This is called Chinese medicine!
Unfortunately, Mr. Lu Guangxin is deceased.
This bright candlelight, after spending its whole life illuminating us, quietly annihilated itself.
I am forever grateful and grateful to Mr. Lu Guangxin for helping me realize the greatness of Chinese medicine!
Therefore, one of the 100 folk Chinese medicine practitioners we interviewed was none other than Mr. Lu Guangxin!
Visit 100 folk Chinese medicine doctors (101) Doctors for the poor! Xi'an Wu Yaocheng: He has unique skills for treating deafness, tinnitus, cerebral palsy, cerebral infarction, etc.
Several fan friends once recommended Big Rooster:
"Teacher Wu Yaocheng from Xi'an is a real folk Chinese medicine doctor. He is unique in treating deafness. He has taught hundreds of apprentices and treats poor patients free of charge. He is very ethical. Teacher Yang, you can learn more about it!"
"I learned some things through the Internet, and based on what I learned, I concluded that Mr. Wu Yaocheng, the acupuncture doctor in Xi'an, can be said to be a truly sincere doctor!"
I have been deaf for 38 years. In three minutes, one shot can make a difference! Left-sided deafness caused by otitis media surgery at the age of 14. Three minutes after one injection, I regained my childhood hearing!
Wu Yaocheng, a doctor for poor people, has achieved results with just one shot, and the 6-year-old child has avoided the fate of having a cochlear implant installed in his right ear!
Some students said: "I have seen acupuncture, but I have never seen acupuncture like this. Teacher Wu's acupuncture method is very different from what is described in the textbook, but the effect is surprisingly good."
"It even makes us feel a little entangled in our hearts, because judging from the severity of the disease, it feels like we will recover too quickly."
In the feature film "Acupuncture Kung Fu Wu Yaocheng" filmed by CCTV, it is introduced as follows:
He has no grand words, but uses the simplest actions to interpret the most beautiful oath of an acupuncture master. For more than 30 years, he has cared about the people and always used the cheapest medical costs and the most traditional Wu's acupuncture skills to protect people's health. He is Wu Yaocheng, the protector of health in the eyes of the people, one of the top ten outstanding young volunteers in the country, and a doctor known as the poor…

Interview with 100 folk Chinese medicine practitioners (103) Taizhou Tan Lixiang: A strange person that I only met after two years! Comprehensive medical treatment to treat diabetes, lupus erythematosus, various cancers, and infertility
It is not easy to meet Mr. Tan Lixiang, a strange person from Taizhou, Zhejiang Province.
Since two years ago, Ms. Zhuzhuyu from Taizhou has contacted Big Rooster and briefly introduced Teacher Tan Lixiang.
However, because Teacher Tan traveled back and forth between Heilongjiang, Beijing and Zhejiang, and his whereabouts were unpredictable, it was difficult to arrange a time to meet. Coupled with the subsequent obstruction of the epidemic, this delay lasted for two years.
Previously, there was a rumor about Teacher Tan Lixiang. For more than 30 years, he was still wearing short-sleeved shirts in the cold winter months, chatting and laughing, and was not afraid of the cold wind, ice and snow. At the same time, he was also a legendary figure who traveled among the upper class and among the people, treating all kinds of patients regardless of wealth or poverty.

Interview with 100 folk Chinese medicine practitioners (104) Du Bingqian, Bengbu, Anhui: This is amazing! Treats blood diseases and aplastic anemia, got rave reviews! He used a lot of facts to prove to the world the greatness of Chinese medicine!
Currently, there are countless patients with blood diseases (including aplastic anemia, pure red blood cell aplasia, various thrombocytopenias, myelodysplastic syndromes, etc.) across the country. The treatment of this type of blood disease is difficult and takes a long time. Severe patients who have been fighting death for many years are in danger of saying goodbye to the world at any time.
Patients often use Western medicine treatment plans in major hospitals, which mainly involve long-term use of immune preparations and hormone therapy. In severe cases, they can only rely on hospital platelet and red blood cell transfusions to maintain their lives. The medical expenses are high, the symptoms are treated but not the root cause, and the dependence is strong. In the end, they may still suffer from the disease. Facing the consequences of ineffective infusion. As a result, liver and kidney function damage may occur during medication, and the side effects are particularly severe. Blood diseases are often not cured, and other diseases are derived, causing patients to collapse…
This trip was worth the drive from Shanghai. Although the climate was cold, my heart felt warm because I found another good Chinese medicine doctor, and he is a folk Chinese medicine doctor who specializes in treating hematological diseases, which are difficult diseases in the world!

Interview with 100 folk traditional Chinese medicine doctors (105) Changshu Qu Jianming: He has treated a large number of patients with chronic kidney disease, renal failure, uremia, and renal insufficiency that cannot be cured in hospitals.
The reason for interviewing Teacher Qu Jianming from Changshu is that he can treat chronic kidney disease and renal failure, and his curative effect is remarkable and he has a good reputation.
From the perspective of human medical progress, this is a ridiculous era:
Those with certificates and titles cannot cure diseases, but folk Chinese medicine doctors who can cure diseases are not allowed to practice medicine because they do not have certificates.
People who don't know how to treat diseases want to be examiners of folk traditional Chinese medicine who know how to treat diseases, just because they have certificates and titles.
This trip to Changshu was worthwhile, because I discovered another good Chinese medicine doctor, a good Chinese medicine doctor who can treat chronic kidney disease, kidney failure, and poor kidney function, and a great folk doctor who can challenge expert professors.

Interview with 100 folk Chinese medicine practitioners (106) Zan Shengxu from Shanghe, Shandong: Give hope to patients with mental illness and depression!
"The pathogenesis of mental illness is very complex, with both internal and external causes. There are disorders of the internal organs and brain nerves. Internal and external factors interact with each other, and the organs and brain influence each other."
“So, if you only treat disorders of the brain nerves and not the disorders of the internal organs during the treatment process, it will be in vain.”
"Although chemicals used to treat mental illness can penetrate the brain-blood barrier and provide temporary suppression and excitement, if taken for a long time, they will cause paralysis and sluggishness of the cranial nerves and make the imbalanced organs and qi mechanisms even more imbalanced."
"Therefore, some places now treat mental illness and only target the cranial nerves. Not only does it treat one person at the expense of the other, but the more serious disadvantage is that treating one person hurts the other person, and ultimately leads to physical and mental failure, and becoming disabled is an inevitable trend."
"Mental patients are no longer disabled!" Teacher Zan Shengxu said firmly.

Interview with 100 folk traditional Chinese medicine doctors (107) Song Yuming from Yantai, Shandong Province: magical surgery to remove sores, wonderful cure for cerebral infarction, acupuncture to treat COVID-19, unique skills to straighten the spine, a low-key anti-epidemic hero
This was a very difficult interview to write. Because of Teacher Song Yuming's low profile and poor rhetoric.
Among the people, Teacher Song Yuming is known as an expert hermit among the people because of his "accurate pulse diagnosis, wonderful technique, superb acupuncture skills, and secret recipe (inherited from ancestors)".
In addition, teacher Song Yuming is also the inheritor of Bian Que pulse theory.
It is understood that Teacher Song Yuming took the lead in boldly using ancient acupuncture in Wuhan to deal with the new coronavirus, which initially shocked doctors. He successfully treated many patients. He used iron-clad facts to prove to the world that traditional Chinese medicine The greatness!
Teacher Song Yuming said: "Those are the Song's technique, 13579 acupuncture, and the triple method of medicines that were created based on ancestral traditions. Interview with 100 folk doctors of traditional Chinese medicine (109) Yu Jinjiang, a folk doctor: Shocking, so brave to say it! When trying folk TCM cases, it is recommended to use TCM appraisal reports!
Teacher Yu Jinjiang is well-known and prestigious in the folk TCM circle. Because of his warm-hearted approach, enthusiasm to help others, and his courage to speak out, he has served as the attorney in many folk TCM lawsuits. Teacher Yu Jinjiang's personal and dedicated work on folk TCM cases deeply admired Big Rooster.
Teacher Yu Jinjiang often posts some of his unique insights and experiences in the group, which is a rare resource for those of us in the media who support folk Chinese medicine but don’t know much about it:
Is it illegal to practice medicine if you don’t treat your disease with metformin?
If your disease cannot be treated by Western medicine, why are you not allowed to treat it with Chinese medicine?
Why does Chinese medicine have no say in handling medical disputes?
Why should Western medicine determine whether TCM treatment plans are right or wrong?
Traditional Chinese medicine is our national medicine, why can’t it be used? Why affiliate with Western medicine?
What does it mean to delay the best time for treatment? Who delayed whom?
In the eyes of the big rooster, Teacher Yu Jinjiang is like a hero who wears a raincoat and walks around the world with a sword, working tirelessly for folk Chinese medicine.

Interview with 100 folk traditional Chinese medicine doctors (111) Xinjiang Yang Jialing: a legendary medical treasure from the Tianshan Mountains! Yang's Qitai bone setting is a unique skill for treating fractures, lumbar vertebrae, and cervical vertebrae.
The reason why I came to interview teacher Yang Jialing is because I heard that she has an ancestral bone-setting skill, which comes from the mysterious legend of Xinjiang - Qitai Traditional Chinese Medicine bone-setting.
"Qitai Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone Repair" can not only close broken bones, but also restore dislocated joints to their original positions.
"Qitai Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone Repair" can use massage techniques to restore dysfunction;
"Qitai Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone-setting" can use massage techniques to unblock blocked qi and blood, which has very good effects.
"Qitai Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone-synthesis" mainly refers to the traditional Chinese medicine bone-synthesis passed down from the Yang family of Yang's Orthopedics Department in Qitai County. Its hand-reduction medical skills and external application of bone-injury medicine are unique in the field of traditional Chinese medicine. Especially the external application of traditional Chinese medicine, it is the fourth generation of Qitai Traditional Chinese Medicine bone-synthesis. The ancestral secret recipe of the inheritors Yang Wanming, Yang Jialing and Yang Jiaxin is a treasure in traditional Chinese medicine.
At present, the intangible heritage protection content of Qitai Traditional Chinese Medicine bone setting mainly includes two unique skills:
No surgery is required for closed fractures, but manual reduction is required. All closed fractures can basically be reduced by manual reduction and the disease can be cured easily;
Use the ancestral secret recipe to make a homemade external ointment for bone injuries and apply it on the affected area, which has good curative effect.

Interview with 100 folk Chinese medicine practitioners (112) Shanghai Lin Xinde: Eye-opening, a strange person in Shanghai! Explore the true telemedicine of traditional Chinese medicine
Different from his status as a folk traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, Teacher Lin Xinde is a graduate of science and engineering majors and graduated from Shanghai University of Science and Technology.
Another difference is that he was born into a family of Western medicine.
His representative achievement is non-drug natural treatment of difficult and complicated diseases.
Teacher Lin Xinde said: "What we advocate is natural recovery without drugs."
"The human body is a self-healing system. The 3D data stored in the fertilized egg is used to 'print' various functional tissues and organs through the uterus of the pregnant woman. Of course, there are solid or hollow cores, as well as blood vessels and neural networks. , control systems, etc. Its manufacturing is not made through low-end processes such as cutting and assembling various materials. The human body is manufactured in a relatively closed ecological circle. The life information data passes through the inner environment of the human body and is indiscriminately processed. It is stitched, three-dimensional, and printed in one go. There is no assembly process."
Teacher Lin Xinde said: "Ideology Qigong truly restores and practices the wisdom of ancient Chinese medicine, follows the wisdom of 'Tao', and allows the disease treatment process to get rid of pain and transform it into a bare-handed, safe and green treatment method, especially by Western medicine. The treatment of various difficult and complicated diseases that you can’t start with or give up on.”

"Teacher Ma Qingsheng's pulse detection is excellent and is at a relatively high level among Chinese pulse methods. Regardless of whether it is a disease that can be detected or not detected by hospital instruments, Teacher Ma can detect it, even if it is a disease that was detected in the past. Those who have recovered from the disease can also be called out."
"There are two big hospitals here, and Mr. Ma is often invited to consult for patients who are hospitalized. The doctors there feel that it is very magical. It seems that Mr. Ma has clairvoyance and can see all kinds of diseases. In fact, this It was diagnosed through the family’s 76-pulse theory!”

Teacher Song’s long family heritage can be traced back to Mr. Wang Yangming.
On October 14, 2022, Big Rooster went to a village in Fengjing, Jinshan, and found the home of teacher Song Yueyong. There were several patients in the room who were undergoing acupuncture treatments, and one of them was a very young woman. The big cock was quite surprising. Because in the health consciousness of young people, they are often influenced by
I am relatively new to traditional Chinese medicine under the guidance of Western medicine. It is a rare thing to be able to come to Teacher Song and Teacher Gu and experience acupuncture in person. I can also get a glimpse of the medical skills and ethics of Teacher Song Rongyong and Teacher Gu Juanhua. They are very popular in the local area. Word of mouth has spread.
"The core technology of acupuncture passed down from our family is to remove the hidden causes and medical history of difficult and complicated diseases in the patient's body that are difficult to find with modern medicine, so as to eliminate hidden dangers and bring health and longevity to the patient."

It was a complete surprise to interview Teacher Chen Fagu from Huizhou, Guangdong, because he is not only talented, virtuous, classy, but also knowledgeable.

He has also provided funds to help fellow folk Chinese medicine practitioners and rescued several folk Chinese medicine practitioners from distress.

"Doctors before the 1980s were worthy of the term "saving lives and helping the wounded." Doctors after the 1980s have changed. That is to say, society has changed human nature. They are not scientific. They have morality but no conscience, and they have conscience but no morality!"

He is a unique folk Chinese medicine doctor. All his tricks, unique skills, and wonderful prescriptions are all figured out by himself through the integration of ancient and modern times…
Moreover, Teacher Chen Shupeng has selflessly dedicated his treatment methods many times, including unique research on gout disease, vision conditioning for teenagers, etc., which he is good at, and his character and medical ethics are convincing.
The reason why Big Rooster came to interview is because there are a large number of gout fans asking for help, and Mr. Chen Shupeng happens to have a lot of experience in gout research.
Combining different pain treatment methods taught by different teachers, we developed this method of "treating pain not at the pain point". No acupuncturist certificate is required, just use the finger to point to the needle, no pain, and quick recovery!

I have opinions.
If we’re all being honest, there’s virtually no chance that the next Dynasty Warriors game will actually include anything after the fall of Shu (Zhong Hui’s revolt being a bit of an exception.) Since the story is often framed as the plucky heroes of Shu fighting the evil armies of Wei, most fiction doesn’t really care about the outcome after Shu has been defeated. But this war had another 15 years in the tank. What would that look like, and how might it be adapted for a DW style game?
As always, I have opinions.
You can read my articles about the conflict between Jin and Wu on my other blog. I planned to write more, but then the ZZTJ translations went on lockdown so we’ll stop with Wu’s end.

BATTLES
These are the major battles between Wu and Jin (and certain rebels), the ones that would be needed to finish the story of the era.
The Siege of Yong’an (264)
By spring of 264, Wei conquered Shu and Zhong Hui’s rebellion had been put down. The Sima had no more opposition within Wei, but Wu was still a danger. The Wu emperor Sun Xiu knew that if Wei (later Jin) controlled all of Shu, Wu’s chances of survival grew dramatically slimmer. So he sent an army under Bu Xie (later reinforced by Lu Kang) to capture whatever he could in Shu.
Yong’an controlled the passage between Jing and Yi. Although most of the military was led away from the city during Shu’s downfall, a small garrison remained under the command of a minor local officer named Luo Xian. Having just sworn loyalty to Wei he refused to let the Wu army pass. For six months he held off Bu Xie and Lu Kang. Eventually, Hu Lie led a flanking attack against Xiling (Bu Xie’s headquarters), which forced the Wu army to retreat. With the victory at Yong’an, Wei’s control over all of Shu was secured.
Over the next few months, things changed dramatically in Wei and Wu. Sun Xiu passed away and, after some complex maneuvers, was replaced by Sun Hao as the new emperor. Sima Zhao passed away, leaving Sima Yan in charge of Wei. He soon dethroned Cao Huan and officially founded the Jin dynasty. For a short time, Sun Hao and Sima Yan made peace with each other, exchanging envoys and making diplomatic overtures.
The Battle of Niutun (266)
While Sun Hao was initially popular with his ministers, this popularity faded quickly due to his cruelty, superstition, and other undesirable traits. In winter of 266, a mountain bandit named Shi Dan kidnapped Sun Hao’s brother Sun Qian and marched on Jianye, intending to enthrone Sun Qian as the new emperor. At the time, Sun Hao had relocated the capital to Wuchang and left Zhuge Ding and Ding Gu in charge of Jianye. These two intercepted Shi Dan at Niutun, where they defeated him. This was a minor rebellion but an excellent way to introduce Zhuge Jing and show resentment building against Sun Hao.
Sun Hao’s Campaign (268)
Although Sun Hao and Sima Yan conducted diplomatic relations with each other, this peace broke apart in winter of 268, when Sun Hao launched a large invasion of Jin. He sent Shi Ji (son of Zhu Ran) to attack Jiangxia (likely the city of Shiyang) while Chancellor of the Righ Wan Yu marched on Xiangyang. Meanwhile, Ding Feng was sent to besiege Hefei while Sun Hao personally led an army against Shouchun. Sima Wang was sent to reinforce Hu Lie in Jing while Shi Bao commanded the defenses in Yang along with Sima Jun.
Sima Wang and Hu Lie defeated Wan Yu easily enough, forcing Shi Ji’s retreat as well. Ding Feng met with no success at Hefei and conducted relatively peaceful negotiations with Shi Bao to arrange a border instead. Having won in Jing, Sima Wang then marched east to intercept Sun Hao, who was quickly forced to retreat.
This was a significant campaign. It was broad in scope and was the last significant offensive Wu ever initiated.
The Jiao War (268-271)
During this time, a second war raged in the far south. This conflict began in 264, when Wu’s executor of Jianzhi was killed by a subordinate who defected to Wei. The neighboring commanderies of Jiuzhen and Ji’nan also submitted to Wei. Sima Zhao appointed the former Shu official Huo Yi over these territories. Shortly after this Sima Yan and Sun Hao made peace, so Jin (at the time Wei) temporarily held these territories. But when peace broke down, war over the southern regions resumed.
Initially the campaign went poorly for Wu. The commander of Wu’s southern armies, Xiu Ze, was unsuccessful in his attempts to retake the lost territories and was killed in battle at Gucheng late in 268. Jin was able to expand its sphere of control, claiming Yulin as well as a foothold in Hepu. Additional armies were sent under one Xue Xu to reestablish control throughout 269 and 270 but these efforts met with no success.
This changed in 271 when Xue Xu’s subordinate Tao Huang defeated and killed Jin’s commander in Jiuzhen. He then defeated Jin’s largest army in Jiaozhi (probably at Longbian). On the back of this momentum, Tao Huang quickly overcome the remaining Jin forces and secured the submission of local leaders, bringing the south once again under Wu’s control.
The Tufa Rebellion (270)
In 269, Sim Yan created Qin province in the northwest and appointed Hu Lie as its inspector. In 270, a Xianbei leader named Tufa Shujineng led a rebellion against Jin in the province. At the time, all of the northwest was under the command of Sima Liang, an uncle of Sima Yan. He sent Hu Lie to defeat the rebels and ordered a subordinate named Liu Qi to advance as well. However Liu Qi refused to advance, leaving Hu Lie isolated. He was subsequently killed in battle with Shujineng.
Sima Liang was blamed for this failure and stripped of office. Du Yu was appointed as the new inspector to replace Hu Lie but ran into conflict with Sima Liang’s replacement. He was accused of false charges and sent to the capital for trial; meanwhile Sima Liang’s replacement attacked the Tufa and was defeated. Sima Jun replaced him.
The rebellion spread in the next year. The tribes in Beidi (Liang province) joined the Tufa rebellion. The local inspector led an army against them but was defeated and killed at Mount Qing. Meanwhile, a large group of Xiongnu revolted as well, under the leadership of one Liu Meng. He was less successful than the Tufa and suffered a loss in Bing province in winter of 271. In spring of the next year, he was defeated again, this time by Hu Fen - Hu Lie’s brother. One of Liu Meng’s subordinates assassinated him and surrendered. Although the Xianbei remained in revolt, the Xiongnu were temporarily suppressed.
The Battle of Xiling (272)
In autumn of 272, internal conflict in Wu led to one of the last major battles of the period. Bu Chan, who controlled Xiling, defected to Jin. Yang Hu led Jin’s armies to assist him, while Lu Kang commanded Wu’s counter-attack.
Lu Kang quickly moved to surround Bu Chan at his main fortress, but he didn’t lay siege immediately. Instead he built fortifications of his own and prepared to repel the Jin troops. Meanwhile Yang Hu advanced on Jiangling, hoping to force Lu Kang to withdraw to defend it. Lu Kang destroyed a nearby dam to flood the area, slowing Yang Hu’s advance. Meanwhile, Jin’s main force arrived at Xiling but Lu Kang was able to drive them away. Lu Kang was then able to besiege Xiling at will, and he took it quickly. Yang Hu was unable to overcome Jiangling and, with Bu Chan killed and Xiling in Lu Kang’s hands, he retreated.
This was a major victory for Wu, especially when coupled with their success in Jiao and Jin’s losses in the northwest. This was a bleak time for Jin, when it seemed like they suffered losses everywhere despite the strength of their state. However, matters would ultimately turn in their favor. The next several years saw deep political divides in both states, resulting in numerous deaths. However, these events don’t work well in a DW style game and are best discussed elsewhere.
The Battle of Wuwei (276-278)
In 276, Sima Jun was given expanded authority over the northwest to deal with the Tufa revolt. He was assisted by Wen Chu, son of Wen Qin. In 277 they led a series of skirmishes against the Xianbei rebels, earning Jin’s first victories over the Tufa. In 278, however, the Inspector of Liang province led soldiers of his own against the rebels but failed. The local tribes of his army rejected his authority, and he was killed by Tufa Shujineng’s forces in battle at Wuwei. So despite the victories earned by Sima Jun and Wen Chu, the rebellion continued. Tufa Shujineng began plundering Liang, with no one seemingly able to stop him.
In 279, a commander of the palace guards named Ma Long was sent to Liang to do battle with the Tufa. He fought a series of skirmishes against the Xianbei as he marched across Liang, with his superior weaponry generally proving victorious. Ma Long eventually fought his way to Wuwei, where he and Tufa Shujineng fought a climactic final battle. Ma Long was victorious and Shujing was executed. So the rebellion that terrorized the northwest for a decade finally came to an end.
The Fall of Wu (279-280)
In winter of 279, Sima Yan ordered Jin’s armies to conquer Wu. This was a massive campaign best broken into two different phases. First, Jin’s armies secured control over Jing province. This consisted of several armies led by Hu Fen, Du Yu, and one Wang Rong attacking key points in Jing, including Xiakou, Jiangling, and Wuchang. Meanwhile, a man named Wang Jun (who gained fame after defeating a minor rebellion in Yi province) led a large naval force down the Great River, smashing through Wu’s defenses. Many of Wu’s soldiers defected to Jin, and the local commanders were quickly defeated. Only a general named Wu Yan (who gained fame during the battle of Xiling) held out.
In the east, Jin’s armies were led by Sima Zhou and a general named Wang Hun. Sun Hao organized an army under Chancellor Zhang Ti, and the most prominent commander of this force was Zhuge Jing (who defeated the rebels around Jianye in 266 and fought at Hefei with Ding Feng in 268). Despite some initial success, they were defeated by Wang Hun’s subordinate Zhou Jun near Banqiao. Zhang Ti was killed in battle, while Zhuge Jing was able to fight his way free. As Jin’s forces continued to advance on Jianye, Sun Hao sent several more armies against them, but these commanders and soldiers quickly deserted. In the end, Wang Jun sailed into Jianye and Sun Hao surrendered, bringing an end to Wu and reuniting the land.
These eight battles describe the most important campaigns between 264 and 280, the lost years of the story. (Though you could probably get by without Niutun if need be.) While it misses the internal politics that devastated the courts of both states, that sort of thing doesn’t really work very well in Dynasty Warriors anyway.
CHARACTERS
Obviously there are ton of people I’d like to include, but I’m going to focus in on the ones who are a.) absolutely vital to this part of the story and b.) aren’t one-hit wonders (like Ma Long). Those who were important outside of this specific era get precedence.
Jin
Some of the existing Jin characters would still be around for parts of this narrative. Jia Chong and Wen Chu would be present throughout the whole thing, while Wang Yuanji and Sima Zhao would be around for some of the early parts.
Hu Lie. A hero of many battles, particularly prominent during the fighting at Shouchun and the conquest of Shu, as well as several major battles depicted here. It’s frankly strange that he isn’t included already.
Hu Fen. As above, Hu Fen served with distinction in several key battles: In Liaodong, at Didao, at Shouchun, against Liu Meng, and in the conquest of Wu. Again, it’s strange that he’s not already part of the cast.
Du Yu. An in-law of the Sima family, Du Yu was a major court figure. He was also a participant in Shu’s conquest, the fighting against the Tufa, and a primary commander in the conquest of Wu.
Sima Jun. He became an imperial attendant as a child (because he was close in age to Cao Fang) and later held several substantial positions in his family’s regime. He appears to have fought at Lake Chao and against Guanqiu Jian. He definitely fought against Sun Hao in 268 and several campaigns against the Tufa in the northwest.
Sima Wang. A major figure of the family. He held a series of minor appointments in his younger years and probably participated in his family’s operations against Cao Shuang and Guanqiu Jian. He was later transferred to the northwest, where he fought witn Jiang Wei. He helped repel Sun Hao in 268 and passed away not long after that.
Wu
Of the current cast, only Ding Feng would be around for any of this. And while I can’t begin to list every Wu character I’d want to add, the ones most important for this tale would be as follows.
Lu Kang. One of Wu’s last successful commanders. He served with distinction in several battles, especially at Shouchun. He was a major figure in all of Wu’s wars and politics during this last era, and his connection to existing characters like Lu Xun makes him an easy choice. (Plus, one time in ROT3K VIII he and I fought the whole world together and won. That’s my boy.)
Zhuge Jing. In some ways the lone survivor. Son of Zhuge Dan, he was a significant general in Wu, fighting in most of their important conflicts at the end.
Bu Chan. It’s a little hard to pin down his exact career, but we can assume he was involved in all the fighting in Jing. His defection triggered a conflict that was too significant to ignore.
Wu Yan. A hero at Xiling and one of the last Wu commanders left standing. The Wu narrative needs someone like him to help bring it to a close.
Tao Huang. The conqueror of the south. Although he doesn’t have much relevance outside of that, this is Dynasty Warriors so it’s easy enough to justify him in battles in the north before that, and to have him show up in the final campaign. Another survivor of Wu’s end; with Zhuge Jing and Wu Yan he gives the faction enough people to finish the tale.
There are tons of others I could mention but these are the ones I consider the strongest and most important candidates. With these characters and these battles, you can tell the final chapter of the story and actually bring it to a close in a way that makes sense.

Quote
Throughout a lifetime, one doesn't expect much, only someone to talk to. Some people begin unable to understand each other, but years later are able to; others begin with the ability, but lose it by and by. Some people spend this whole life unable to communicate. Finding someone to talk to is a blessing, be they a lover, friend, or family.
One Word is Worth Ten Thousand Words (一句顶一万句) by Liu Zhenyun (刘震云). 2009.
Recipient of the 2011 Mao Dun Literature Prize and considered the Chinese version of One Hundred Years of Solitude, One Word is Worth Ten Thousand Words is a bilateral exploration of loneliness in company, the meaning of family, and complications arising from the intertwining of past and present. The first part of the novel depicts embittered protagonist Wu Moxi’s desperate search for his abducted adopted daughter, Cao Qing’e, the only person he could confide in. The second narrative describes Cao’s son Niu Aiguo’s spiritual return to his hometown, also seeking someone to talk to.
Liu focuses on the experiences of ordinary folks and members of lower social echelons in his writing, centering this novel in his hometown province, Henan. In One Word is Worth Ten Thousand Words, he ascribes a universal “Chinese loneliness” to a lack of organized religion in China. "The biggest difference between a religious society and an atheist society is not that people have a god to worship, but that they have something to talk to. People in a religious society can talk anytime and anywhere, for God is omnipresent," Liu explained. The imaginative spiritual themes and plain, stylized language of One Word is Worth Ten Thousand Words have rendered it a bestselling work and characteristic of Liu’s oeuvre.
In 2016, the novel was adapted into a film entitled Someone to Talk To by Liu’s daughter, Liu Yulin.

The Streets in Taiyuan Buildings
“Shi Ji Ping Zhun Shu”: “the common people have horses in the streets and alleys, and when they are free in the paddocks, they become the best men, but they can’t get together.” Jin Luji’s “gentleman has thoughts and deeds”: “where there is prosperity in the chanli, the streets and alleys are numerous and indifferent.” the name of streets and alleys as urban roads has been used to this day.
In modern times, the street life with “people” as the core has gradually become a unique residential culture. The life wrapped in streets and courtyards is full of rich and vivid activity scenes and urban daily life. This project is located in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. The design takes “street life” as the starting point. The design focuses on the linear space of streets and lanes, extends rich architectural techniques to “streets and lanes”, and then brings vitality to the space.
Man made places, places also make people. Streets and alleys are places where citizens used to communicate daily. With the continuous development and expansion of the city, its street and lane system has also evolved. This project is located in Shanxi. In the past, Shanxi was mainly a combination of streets, courtyards and caves. It will have many shared yard living facilities and landscapes. In this process, there will be many warm life scenes and emotional intersection between neighbors.
Take space as the medium to connect people with streets and lanes to create a dynamic life scene. The design points to life in the streets and lanes, and expresses products with life as the source. Le Corbusier once said that the axis, as a pointing instrument, is very important for architectural design: “layout is to classify the axis, the purpose and the purpose.” in this design, the concept of path replaces the axis.
The axis uses lines to determine the three-dimensional and plane, and defines the movement in the vertical structure, while the axis regards the building as a whole, allowing the existence of non directional structures. The axis is replaced by the vector, and the user’s trajectory determines the spatial structure and becomes the “adjustment line” of the building. The focus of the axis is its core, and the axis shows a continuous experience, enriching the whole journey as well as the destination.
In order to make the streets more three-dimensional and rich, multiple building boxes are manufactured indoors, which has more possibilities of use and interaction through additional attributes. In addition, it also allows multiple boxes to twist and change, so as to achieve the variability of vision and moving line. There are winding paths and quiet parts, and there are suddenly bright parts. The space can be up and down, sit and lie, not limited to the experience of the same latitude.
The space epidermis also uses many materials in the original state to express the space emotion. It is hoped that this space will change and grow with the users and experimenters. The free scattering of different boxes naturally constitutes streets, landscapes and courtyards, forming street life and returning to society.
