A marvel POV- The birthday Party - Chapter 1

Todays your birthday, the sun shines brightly through your windows waking you up, you grunt.

"Happy birthday darlin'!" your parents stride into your room, they seem much more excited than you do. It doesn't feel much like your birthday, just another day in the life of a now 21-year-old with no life still. Your friends have all left, leaving you behind clueless in what you want in life. Nothing ever feels right with the idea of starting more education or work this young to you.

Your parents lay down a small plate of pancakes dripping with golden maple syrup on the drawers next to you. You look around to notice them holding a small present over you, smiles light up their faces.

"and what may this be?" you ask.

"Just a little gift on this very special day, for my wonderful daughter Y/N"  your dad replies. You open up the gift slowly, the falling wrapping paper reveals a phone, the newest model of an iPhone.

"Thank you guys, I love it." You hug them tightly and they leave. After you have eaten your breakfast you help get ready for the family gathering later, stringing up colourful lights, putting out what seems like endless amounts of picking food. Just a few people over to celebrate your birthday.

It's around 4 o'clock now, cars of many brands and colours are starting to pull up in the driveway, you notice that your least favourite family member is here, your grandmother. She always knows how to make you feel like trash, she usually insults your hair, cloths or even your weight. Anyways the party must go on regardless of whether she's here, you welcome all of the guests with a smile and a thank you for coming, your grandmother just ignores you and walks in, she's almost walking like a penguin. Time flies by and everything is going really well, the music is loud and your choice, the rain has started, and the food was just something else. This is until at around 6 o'clock when your grandmother pulls you into a separate room. She grabs your arm tightly, dragging and tugging, the warm kitchen calming your nerves.

"Happy birthday, this is an okay party" she scoffs.

"My mum told you to say that didn't she, well not the party bit I presume?" you infer.

"Well of course, why does my daughter's useless girl deserve anything more than that?" you stay silent fearing what she could possibly say next, you start to feel cornered and hesitant.

"See, you can't even fight me back. Worried you'll trip over your words if you try. You're pathetic. Useless. Nothing, have a shitty birthday you waste of space." all of a sudden your hands strong and tingly, you run outdoors scared and lonely. It's raining heavily out there, the rain calms you slightly until you notice purple mist projecting from your hands, your shaking watching this mist consume you. You slowly start to rise from the ground, feeling weightless. You catch your reflection on a window, your eyes are soullessly black, the healthy grass beneath you dies suddenly. You look around for help, you can't scream you can't do anything the power is consuming you, controlling you, becoming you. You can see something soaring towards at the speed of light, all of a sudden your driven into the ground with a mighty force. Your eyes open to see a well-built man with long blonde hair and a hammer? Suddenly the feeling of tight metal on your wrist is noticeable, cuffs, he's restraining you with glowing handcuffs!

"Let me go! What's wrong with you?!" you scream at him and he laughs.

Suddenly the warm and dark smoke is back and he’s now floating with you, he struggles, struggling for breath. Instinct tells you to use your mind, he cries out in pain. His hand opens, you stand there confused looking at him in disbelief. You are knocked off your feet by his flying hammer. He is released and he takes the opportunity.

"By the way, my name is Thor son of Odin, I'm not here to harm you pretty lady I am just  here get you safely to the tower." He gets up and continues to inject you with a strange liquid, your eyes fall heavy and finally, they are closed.

My little family has gone through a lot the last several months, but it seems to getting a little brighter.
