"Paper planes" by @claire-pouette. I asked Claire on Instagram for permission to make this dub of her comic and she said yes. Her art is absolutely stunning, and I love this comic of hers.

I voiced Mono and Six myself (except for their voice clips at the end and Six's gasps). I'm British but I tried to imitate an American accent for their dialogue since I'm sure that people are more used to them having American accents in comic dubs, I hope my voice for them sounds okay... 👉👈

This is my very first comic dub. I'm not sure if I'll make more comic dubs, but I prefer to have an artist's permission when dubbing a comic they've made.

2AL mini AU... the Leoverse.. Leo Generations...

What would their personalities be if they hypothetically did exist?

I actually had storylines in mind for a long while for both Big Leos bigger leo and Poptarts hypothetical little leo! :)

I decided that if Poptarts timeline DID go to shit... the reason would be due to Triceritons! (remember their damn skull in the krang ship? lmao what if they were still alive)

Anyways, the catch here and what makes this dynamic different is that, Poptart would not tell his little leo at all about Sprout. Not even a peep.

Poptart would also be all over this poor little leo constantly to the point of the little leo getting super annoyed. Poptart on the other hand is constantly cheery and upbeat and a giant nuisance! It is not until Poptart finally has some big mental breakdown, and tells his little leo about Sprout and the whole cycle, that the walls break and they can finally bond closely as a duo

Poptart would also, dub his little leo, Pudding. Banana Pudding. Why not.

Anyways Big Leos bigger leo is a bit of a darker story so, I am putting it under a cut, huge warning for character death:

Short version: Big Leo gets a grand total of 3 minutes with his bigger self, before said bigger self dies in his arms

Long version: I have had this one off comic in my head for so long but dont really know how to draw it and I kept thinking it was too dark to draw anyways so... I never drew it But the premise is...

It begins around the start of the Krang apocalypse in Big Leos timeline, him (still has the arm, age 18-20ish) and his brothers are all in some meeting frustrated not knowing what to do, eventually Leo decides he needs a break to think and heads off into another room and sits against a wall

A portal blue opens besides him, and out comes out his bigger self! Leo is freaked as shit before he realizes, oh, this guy is hurt. Leo goes to help his bigger self who is on the floor trying to crawl and check the damage since the guy was losing a lot of blood and it looks like a lot had already been lost

I do not have the exact dialogue down but, it is something along the lines of Bigger Leo insisting "dont worry about me, I need to warn you something, its amazing I made it here at all and.... I am sorry it looks like I showed up too late and...." He then looks into Leos eyes and becomes less tense, he goes "hey..... teacup, its good to see you before melting in for a hug. Leo hugs back and sobs, while the bigger leo soon after starts going limp..

Eventually Leos brothers would find where he hid after he stormed off to see the aftermath to the scene, they would take bigger leo over to their med bay maybe but it would be too late, and trying to get Leo away from the body was a nightmare, Leo could not stop staring

Did I just come up with the Teacup nickname while writing this all down? Yes.. yes I did....

Do you see why this might be too dark for a comic lmao?

This would also explain why Big Leo made no mention of this whole situation to Sprout, I dont think Sprout would have even wanted to know

I loved Targg and the shield maiden Owlyn so much. I want a healing fix it and I ship them.

Did they had any interactions with each other. No. But that's not gonna stop hopefully anyone!

He was a really good general with great moral compass! He would have spared Hama and the small folk. Now let me get this quick~ out of the system:

I loved his clothing and I mean he got just stabbed once(1)time he could survive that! (Helm got shot with arrows like 6 times and was fist fighting people while being very depressed in a snowstorm like a week after that)

Let there be some loyal wild men safe Targg from the battle field and then he heals but doesn't know what to do with his life and then he meets hera and olwyn and he tags along because he respects her and he has nothing better to do. They could go on a adventure together.

Or idk let him see that the raccoon man is crazy earlier and safe hama for negotiations or whatever and he helps Rohan idk I read fics with much worse unrealistic premise and it still worked great!

What a legend. No really I'm gonna draw him standing heroics with his tits out and his hammer holding into the sky.

I laughed out loud that he kinda froze to death and suddenly had his hammer in his hand!

He punched a ogre/orc to death! Sauron and the Balrog should be thankful that he does not have access to thermo leggings and the blood of the Numenorian because he would have punched them all straight into the void!!

And Haleth !! The silm Haleth would have approved of him!!!

So cool,so hot and even his death was kinda cool, very quick but so heroic.

The twink bard hama got used up to show that the raccoonTM is a terrible war lord and a super pathetic man. Kinda sad and underwhelming. Good part to start a fix it fic!

And wulf Ach wulf man idk what to say I will say that the German dub gave him a better and deeper voice then the English voice so that was nice! I had some feeling for him when his father died and he got choked out by helm but he really went all out to become very pathetic.

I hope there are some good fics that work on his very odd characteristics

I'm gonna draw him once being even much more pathetic but I need to confess he is rather bland next to Targg or Frealaf!!

I loved his clothing so much in general the clothing was great!! (Except the white pants/boot from hera!!)

That's my thoughts I did not went into much details about what could have been better or what is not really like in the books. I'm just glad that there is another great addition to the Tolkien fandom!!

If you had thought that the small, sleepy town that was locked away in the mountains was strange, you had tried to overlook it. Roads that don’t match the maps or GPS had brought you here and you were stuck until morning. Everything saved for one bar closed before sunset. 

That was the operating hours displayed on most businesses; Sunrise - Dusk. Strange place, but you had managed to get a room in the one little motel in town. The seedy little operator looks nervous as he hands you a key and points across the street to the bar when asked where you could get some food. Your plan is to spend the night, wait until the gas station pumps are started again in the morning and then get the fuck out of here. 

Sighing, you nurse the one beer you had told yourself you could have. Looking around the nearly deserted place and wondering if you had stumbled onto some kind of horror movie set. It was certainly creepy enough. Waiting for your food that seems to be taking forever and sighing softly as the door to the back kitchen swings again like someone had been about to come out but then changed their minds. You shake your head, frowning when you feel dizzy for a moment but then dismiss it. You’ve had half of a beer. There’s no way you are drunk.

“So you’re the lucky one.” You frown, your eyes feeling heavy as you struggle to open them, turning your head to where an amused voice comes from. “Looks like they found an outsider this time. Hmmm.” 

Shivering, you feel an cool slide of something down the curve of your cheek, a presence hovering over you. If you could just open your eyes. 

“Don’t like that they drugged you.” The voice tuts, making you panic slightly, trying to move, only to panic more when you feel the resistance in your arms and then your legs. “Makes for a heavy meal.” 

Meal? That surge of horror and confusion gives you the strength to open your eyes, popping them open like the comical point of a movie, except there is nothing comical about the sight in front of you. 

It looks similar to a man, but misshapen. The skin slightly mottled, as if rot was setting in. Amber eyes, with deep, heavy brows and bones protruding near the crown. Too sharp to be a man. More of a monster. 

Until you see the teeth. Two perfectly, pointed teeth hanging down from the rest. Fangs that you have seen in movies, in halloween costumes, but never real life. A vampire. 

“Oop, there it is.” The monster flashes an amused grin, and shakes its head. “Drugs are wearing off and the fact that you are a sacrifice is just starting to set in.” He chuckles, looking down at you again and dragging a finger down your body. “Let me guess, just passing through? Stuck here for the night?” 

Your scream is loud, echoing as you start to struggle. Realizing that you are tied down to something and the sight of bare branches looming overhead like ghostly arms tells you those bastards in that creepy ass town dragged you out into the woods. 

“Shhhhh, shush, none of that.” He tuts, looking almost disappointed by your reaction. “No need to scream. No one is going to come. That’s part of the deal.” 

You’re still struggling, twisting and craning your neck up to see the chains around your wrists are keeping you tied down to some kind of hard stone bench. In the middle of the woods. It’s the stuff of nightmares and you are begging to wake up. “Deal, what deal? I didn’t make a fucking deal. Just let me go!” You scream. 

“Not a deal with you, a deal with the town.” Again, he tuts, like he’s disappointed you didn’t come to that conclusion yourself but you are terrified and still feeling the effects of the drugs. “They give me someone to eat every now and again and I’ll try to keep from hunting in their town.” He shrugs. “It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement.” 

“Oh god, I’m dreaming.” You start to chant. “I’m dreaming, I have to be dreaming.” You have started to rub the skin around your wrists and ankles raw in an effort to free yourself. Oblivious still to the fact that you are completely naked. 

“I am a dream, huh?” The creature hums, smirking again, although it looks wicked when he is so grossly formed. Demon-like in appearance. “But baby…” he whistles through his fangs. “You are a dream. Look at that smoking hot body.” He grunts. “Been a long time since I’ve had someone so hot chained up for me. Don’t know if I want to eat you or eat you.” Heavy brows waggle and it makes you scream again. 

“Awwww don’t be like that.” He pouts, frowning at you and licking his lips. “Vampires are great at fucking. And I only sip when I’m balls deep. I don’t gorge myself. You’ll live longer that way.” 

You shake, the chains around your wrists and ankles clanking as your body convulses involuntarily. Praying that you wake up from this nightmare. It’s got to be a bad dream. It just has to. Vampires aren’t real. And even if they were, isolated mountain towns wouldn’t sacrifice someone to the vampire. 

“What do you say?” Apparently nightmares still talk and your eyes open again to find him looking down at you with an oddly expectant look on his face. “Wanna say you were pumped and dumped by a biter?” His teeth gnash together playfully. 

“Y-y-you’ll let me g-g-go?” You stutter out, trying to understand what it is that this creature wants from. 

“Absolutely, sugar tits.” He chuckles. “Let me fuck a warm hole, bite your tits and suck a little blood and you’ll walk up sore, a little chilly, but you won’t have to worry about STDs or getting pregnant.” He winks at you. “Swimmers are dead.”

The vampire snorts, rolling his yellowish eyes. “Blood is sweeter when you’re not fighting, sugar tits. Some like the acidic taste of fear, but it's too gamey for my tastes.” He shrugs and hums when you give a tiny nod. “You won’t regret it. Ol’ Max has a big dick.” 

Max. The vampire is named Max. You don’t even register that the monster is shedding the clothes he had been wearing faster than humanly possible, naked and climbing up onto the stone that you are chained to.

He whistles again, his outrageously cool hands spreading your thighs and you close your eyes in embarrassment when he looks down at your cunt. “Fuck, look how warm that little fuck hole is. I bet you’re gonna feel amazing around my dick.”

I Read Still Another K/S Zine So You Don't Have To

But maybe you should, anyway.

You may remember that a while back I reviewed Alien Brothers, and said that if I got my hands on any other zines I would review them as well. Well, here we are! This is the first of eight zines I currently own physical copies of, and those reviews should come out over the rest of the year.

Still Another K/S Zine was published in July of 1984 and was the fourth issue of Another K/S Zine. First impressions are difficult, as my copy is a homemade reprint on green paper which was stapled together and has no cover. It's also almost 40 years old, so it has seen better days.

Despite all this, it is quite pretty. The fics all have different trim designs and most of the artwork is of flowers. It doesn't have any full page drawings, nor drawings of Kirk and/or Spock. The italics are all in cursive which is only slightly difficult to read and may or may not have been hand written. The rest of the text is standard typewriter font, which, by the thanks, has been typed by hand. I'm very glad that's no longer necessary.

Warnings: light discussion of sex, one mention of non-con, spoilers for the fics in this zine.

Editorial

Apparently, fans didn't like the Search for Spock. Personally, I don't see why. There's a little comic that I find quite humourous.

Folly

Very interesting concept. I never thought I would ship Spock and Finnegan, and to be fair, going exclusively by canon, I still don't. However, despite the changes that had to be made for this story to work, both Finnegan and Spock are still surprisingly in character. Vivian Gates seems to have a tendency to leave stories open ended, as she does it again with The Air is the Air two years later. It's a well written and constructed story, and I enjoyed it. 4.5/5

Protecting the Captain's ASSets, or, the Danger of Ignoring ScuttleBUTT.

This fic starts with the worst poem I have ever read and it's spectacular. A new yeoman on the Enterprise tries to use it to get Kirk to sleep with her but Spock catches her and she turns into one of many who got kicked off the Enterprise for this. I love the funny ones. 5/5

Altered Perceptions

Boooooring. It's a pon farr fic but it has no smut in it, Spock tries to jump off a cliff and Jim is mad a lot and when he's not mad he's basically forcing himself onto Spock. Not the worst by far, but definitely a skip on my part. 3.5/5

Hold Me Till the Morning Comes

What if Jim held on to Spock's katra instead? I wouldn't know, this story is barely a page and a half long, and it's technically listed as a poem in the table of contents. It's fine. 4/5

Once Upon a Night....

Spock has a nightmare, wakes up his neighbours, one of which is Jim, of course. Then the lights cut out and it's plenty cold so you know what that means! Huddling for warmth in Spock's bed. Jim cries about his brother and then they have a tickle war which inevitably devolves into hot, steamy sex - which we aren't shown. Frankly, I'm becoming a little disappointed with the lack of smut in this zine, especially considering every fic so far (except for one) has been leading up to it. 5/5

On the Matters of Being Very Fat and Purple, and Enjoying It

Now, here's the smut I've been waiting for! And while it wasn't overly detailed it was well worth the wait, with a little bit of Bones on the sidelines. This one was a lot of fun, and probably my second favourite fic in this zine. Also, gotta love that title. 5/5

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

I would never in a million years step into a bathtub made of velvet, no matter how water resistant it apparently is. It sounds like the worst sensory experience ever. However, Spock doesn't know what a rubber duck is and he's scared of bubbles, so at least there's that. A solid bit of light-hearted fun. 4/5

Old Friends

There are a few cons of reading printed zines, and one of them is that when I read an absolutely spectacular fic and I want to share it with all my friends, I can't. This is one such fic.

It all starts when Jim's old friend from the Farragut gets assigned temporarily to the Enterprise and hugs Spock as soon as he comes on board, and Spock hugs him back! Turns out they roomed together at the Academy and may or may not have been lovers. So now they spend all their time together and Kirk gets increasingly jealous while this new guy does everything in his power to make Jim and Spock confess to each other. It's spectacular and I love it. This zine is worth getting if only for this fic. 5/5

Art and poetry

There isn't really a lot of art in this zine, and the art that is in there is fairly simple, though some is quite detailed. They compliment the works well, at least.

As for poetry, most of it wasn't to my taste, but there were a handful of good ones.

Final thoughts

This was nowhere near as bad as Alien Brothers, but to be fair that's because I specifically selected this zine out of 30-ish offered to me, based on the Fanlore page of each one, reading about the fics in them. I went into Alien Brothers knowing it was going to be bad, and I went into this one knowing I had selected it, but also knowing that someone was clearly quite willing to get rid of it, if the price tag was any indication (let's just say, I spent more on shipping). Still, I can't say it's a bad zine. It has plenty of fun stories, and even if I've read better ones for free online, the experience of actually holding a zine, a piece of history, was well worth it. Old Friends was on par with some of my favourite modern stories, and Being Very Fat and Purple had that classic charm I quite enjoy. All of these stories are somewhat products of their time, but none of them have aged poorly. I also read the whole thing in one day, as it's only 106 pages long. All in all, this was a very enjoyable zine.

This Pitch-Black Pokemon is shady and allusive by nature, but its incredible curiosity can coax it into appearances.

One night, as it flew through ancient Hisui, it happened upon a strange dream from an equally strange man. Piqued, it wished to know more, but the human’s guardian scared it away.

The years went by, and Darkrai continued to think about that child from the dream long after he was dead… Until he found a carbon copy of both the man and the dream in modern-day Unova.

Some time ago, Emmet’s twin brother went missing without a trace. Since then, Emmet has been continuing their legacy in the Battle Subway, in addition to tearing apart the puzzle left by his brother’s strange disappearance. (Off of the professional clock, of course!)

As time continues forward, the strategy in finding his brother has begun to shift and now Emmet looks into mythical, legendary, and otherwise elusive Pokemon who may help him, or be the culprit to the crime. Perhaps it is the grief of missing his twin, or perhaps a deeper-seeded fear that drives him after all of this time.

Stranded from the home he can’t remember and taken in by a clan he’d never heard of, Ingo now works as the conductor–or, Warden, as the Pearl Clan dubs him–of a Noble Sneasler.

While the feeling of unbelonging never fades, Ingo works hard in his goals as Warden, Battle Instructor, and reliable friend. Sometimes, he swears he catches a fleeting thought or strange dream of a hint of his origin. However, it is quick to evade his grasp.

Despite her standoffish and mocking nature all Sneasels and Sneaslers in Hisui share, Lady Sneasler’s nobility grants her a curiosity of the humans she is tasked with protecting, starting with her Warden. However, with her original Warden no longer with her, she is now learning coexistence with a new Warden.

This one perplexes her, wearing strange clothing and smelling of a strange land. She is curious of his destiny and respective of his experienced style of leadership. And he easily trusts her in turn.

About the Art-thor

What’s good everyone I’m the typical artist who only draws 3/4th view busts of blorbos so to force myself to improve and work outside my comfort zone I’m making a Pokemon fancomic out of this idea I’ve been microwaving in my brain for too long. I got fixated on how Darkrai is the last Pokemon in the Hisui Pokedex and only obtainable through BDSP save data, and also got sucked into the Subway Masters stuffs at the same time. Bon appetit.

In all seriousness though I’ve been daydreaming about being good enough to tell a decent story via comic format and recently came to terms that waiting around for the perfect opportunity was gonna waste my time in the long run. I want to focus on the process of telling a story through comic, but also stay having fun with it as well.

Surprised there haven’t been any dubs of your “Leo PTSD Nightmare” comic, cause it’s dope! What made you wanna write/draw it out?

*Blush!* You really think it’s good? Thank you so much!

Someone did ask if they can make a compilation on youtube, and I asked them to wait until the comic is done first. (Thank you for your patience BTW! You know who you are!) As for dubs…I’m on still on the fence about it to be honest…but who knows how I will feel after the comic is done and I can upload the whole thing in one go on other sites.

I chose to draw it out because I was on a motivational drawing high from ROTTMNT and those small doodles turned into Raph and Leo interacting those first few pages.

As for what inspired it…It started out with just Raph and Leo having a brief heart to heart about Leo’s guilt at the whole “Raph getting hurt to protect him” thing. The comic was actually supposed to end there. But then I got that idea for Donnie in the next few pages, and then Mikey sleeping next to Leo, and more and more ideas making this thing WAY longer then I intended it to be. If I’m being honest, it still has a little ways to go before it’s done, (and I hope people aren’t getting bored of it-heh).

Over time though, it turned into an exploration of mental health and trauma and how our families can help us recover from it. I love these boys and this show so much (and I want it to come back more then anything, while we can still have the OG people working on it!), and it’s helping get through the stress and hard times I’m going through right now…so…yeah. Hope that answers your question! Thanks for asking!
