OGHHH i can show you guys this now!! i made these little acrylic gifts for my cast and crew for the puppet show i was on. they arrived just in time!! the departments and director got the big standee of the river critters having a picnic, and the cast and crew got the Ollie the Otter charms :) was a lot of work and a little pricey, but the show meant so much to me that I couldn't not make something special for it!!!

Below, I will discuss the process, which will include a lot of spoilers. (But also more pics 😈)

When I heard this story was set in the same universe as choices, I lost my shit a little and read it. Slowly, however, this story began to mean a lot more to me than I could put into words. George's grief over the lost of his soul mate, the struggle to find himself, and Blaise's love, passion, kindness, and confidence in himself resonated to me in such a way that I knew I needed to hold it in my greedy little hands.

I started to think about what I wanted to do and how I wanted to bind this story. I struggle a lot from picking the font for the body text to picking the chapter titles. I finally, after fucking around with canva for more time than I'm willing to admit , I was able to come up with these:

In the story, there is this moment where Blaise casts a spell that creates a constellation, of which George got the inspiration to make a mood ring that created a little sky, and depending on your mood the sky changes to reflect how you feel. He gives it to Blaise, and they have a picnic under the sky, indoors, later at Blaise's party they have such a cute moment at night and so I wanted to implant the sky in some way.

I also wanted to use constellations in this bind. I didn't know how or where. I just knew I needed them in my life. So while i mop over my inability to impelent them, I took a break. So one day, I was reading a book with these very cute corners, and then it hit me. (No, I didn't finish the book i was reading. I was busy stalking the internet, trying to find the perfect image)

After that, picking the page breaks was easy. I wanted something simple since I didn't want the typeset to look so busy that it took away from the most important element of the bind, aka the story. I added a few little things for me in Draco and Harry's 2 chapters because I'm weak, and that's for soph to find all on her own 👀

I will put this here, tho.

Lastly, because Tumblr won't let me post more pictures, here are the endpapers I used for 2 of the 3 books.

As some of you may have notice, there are blues, pinks, and whites in this bind. It's a subtle yet very loud depiction of the Trans flag. It was very important to me to show that this story is of a Trans man that, as soph, puts it, saved himself.

I added all the chapter notes, trigger warnings, and more information about this bind on the typeset itself. Ultimately, to me, this is a form of archiving stories I think matter, and if for whatever reason, technology dies on us, this story will still live on.

Bookcloth: Colibri in color Cornflower, this cloth has a silk like finish.

Htv: I used siser's htv easy weed vinyl with a bit of a pinkish undertone to it.

Endpapers: they are from paper tree nook in the uk

Endband: 2 mm 100% leather with blue viscous thread

Textblock: I used standard 20lbs cream color paper. I used toner to print. To sew the textblock, I use blue linen thread and remie bands gifted to me by my friend duranbinding. I painted the edges using golden acrylic paint, and the charm and ribbon are both from Michael's

Obey Me! Set to Silent Mode

Summary: You have no way to charge your DDD in your very human home. Pairing: None, if you squint it could be read as GN!MC x Mammon Word count: 851 Warnings: angsty goodness, mentioned drinking, mentioned death, spoilers for chapter 16 and i guess chapter 20 A/N: A very short little dabble. I know canon says everyone keeps messaging and calling after MC returns home for the first time, but I like the idea that MC was really cut off from Devildom and has to work their way through it.

Mammon was promising some terribly stupid business idea for your return when your DDD died. Now it sits on your bedside table, right next to your actual phone. You know, the normal one that used normal, human electricity to connect you to all the people you know and some of the ones you loved. Earthly little pings probed you upon your return- rebirth- some concerned, some angry, but all keen on untangling the story of how you faked your death. Oh, it was like I’ve died and was reborn again, you’d joke over brunch. Your mimosa would sparkle against your lips, the tart sweetness of the orange juice covering the hint of bitterness; bottomless, bottoms up.

Sometimes, in the small hours of the morning, you imagine a devilish glow casting strange shadows across your bedroom wall. They’d dance in the pre-dawn light tempting you with wastefulness, but flee with your dreams as your mind finds your body.

Once you accidentally grabbed it instead of your functional, operational, and relevant human device. You caused something of a minor traffic jam standing in the middle of a busy intersection staring at it. Ruri-chan stares out with a sort of delusional optimism from the confines of her clear acrylic prison while the cross-walk sign blink threateningly. Behind her a Devildom lotto ticket and a coupon for Madam Scream’s Macaroons compete — unsuccessfully— for your attention.

The driver of the gray pickup truck lays on his horn and you skitter to the sidewalk. After a moment you realize you’ve gone the wrong way.

You were late to the psychic’s, but the old woman didn’t seem to mind. The bangles on her wrist jangled as she sits you at her little table in the back room where the sights and sounds of the outside world are caught between layers of velvet and dried eucalyptus. You supposed, in retrospect, that that should’ve been your first warning. No witch worth their cauldron would be caught dead with eucalyptus. She peers at your palm, then your tea leaves, them her cards with gentle scrutiny before surmising you had experienced a great loss. It was enough to knock some tears out of you, but the real crying would happen later, at home, relieved of some $30, burdened by the ever-growing guilt of having left Mammon on read.

Texting 666 on your regular, dinky, human phone did not work. You resisted the urge to throw it against a wall.

Slowly you found psychic visits woven their way into the fabric of your life until every soothsayer and fortune teller became something more than strangers but less than friends. Through the psychics you found the mystics; through the mystics you found witches; through the witches you found despair. A witch’s jealousy to be an ugly thing. They danced around you, play-tracing sigils into your skin and flicking harmless spats of magic into your face. Pact-marked and pigeoned-holed they called you, as useless as you had been before the exchange program. Back home you stared into the mirror, tracing the witch’s sigils on your skin then onto paper. They made for poor art and poorer signs of power laying as dormant as the pact marks scattered across your body.

One day, drowning in a nap-gone-too-long, you imagine Mammon calling for you outside your window; it would be the last time you cried.

Life was less a ride than it was a chariot, dragging you across a bloodied arena for the entertainment of some higher power. Your first order of business was to move your Harrison Porter charm to your keys; looking at it made you feel a little like Alice in Wonderland. Rent was due, so a job was found; then a better one. You counted the bills, paid your debts. You set aside spared bills and change in a little yellow treasure box on your dresser that sat beside a growing collection of nail polish and skincare that never failed to make you feel —dare you say it— pretty. You swam and cursed your way through summer, fostered a sizable clan of cats in the fall, then decided to become a recluse in the winter, watching winter’s stars drape across the sky from the comfort of your home.

The promise of a new life in a new city lured you out from your cave. You went to RAD with so very little, so you decide to part with all but a suitcase of the essentials, then opted for a backpack. The edges of the little yellow treasure chest pressed into your lower back as you hiked your way across the city to a hilly park with a view. Winter still clung to this part of the world; the sparkling of snow was nearly indistinguishable from the steel and glass of skyscrapers; a sky so clear that the horizon retreated into a white nothingness. You soaked in the view, then turned.

At the edge of the outlook a familiar shock of white hair caught your eye. He waves. You could feel the edge of the acrylic Harrison Porter charm, smooth after months of worry.

tbh I havn't really been able to nail a voice-claim/hc down for Button. Though I def think he would have a more masculine-sounding voice, but with some sort of quick to it (like being raspy or squeaky) the only thing I know for sure is he needs like, a loser white guy voice.... if that makes literally any sense

also I think they have the vibe of a character whos eng and jp voices are very different but somehow both work equally very well (like calcifur and meowth, both of those have very different directions taken with their voices but both work in the same way somehow??)

ummm some potential candidates are Charlie Day, Jack McBrayer, maybe Jason Ritter? Daniel thrasher has never voice acted but he's def a candidate

for jp something similar to either Nate's pkmn masters jp voice, or like, something very raspy and mascot-character esque

hmm I'm not sure? this isn't really my area of expertise: here's some random ideas tho~

-apple pie flavored waffle? shaped like a star of course

-little button shaped sugar cookies?

-half chocolate half vanilla cupcake? to represent the angel+demon thing, combine it with the sugar cookies maybe? have two of them decorated like his eyes mayhaps?

-apparently there is a way to make drinks glow in the dark but it requires a black light so dead end :(

-mac n cheese, idk how to make it cute but it needs to be involved

-wait! idea: pretzel shaped like a lyra?

15. 🧸: If your OC had any merchandise themed around them, what would it be?

now this one is actually right in my area of expertise I love toy design

for some less simple things:

one of those little craft kits that gives you the supplies to make something simple like a felt plush sewn together with yarn, you could sew a little small star-button billow, and a little kirby plush and the aesthetic is all Button themed. Or maybe a a friendship bracelet craft kit? there's a lot of potential craft kits what with being from patch land

or maybe a merry magoland themed re-ment set that features a little Button working a booth

or you know those little keychain plushies?

dude I could design these ALL DAY

hell I've thought a lot about button merch just with what I could feasibly make happen. Button acryllic charms? Button buttons? a Button themed candy bag keychain? those keychains with the little magnet heart accesories? I could do that with Button and characters he's shipable with. standee with tail wag? glow in the dark standee and the stand part is a magic circle? button enamel pins? button ACRYLIC PINS?

25. ⭐️: If your OC got their own spinoff game what would it be about and what would the gameplay be like?

a few ideas!

-epic yarn style! the story line is Button learns about Kirby's Magic sock and decides to visit home~

-game where you sail across the sea!!! Meta Knight wants you to collect a special flower that only grows on this one island, he's too busy with meta knight stuff to get it himself. So he has sent Button on this fetch quest. i guess you could make it into a platformer, but maybe it could be like a minigame collection? that would involve things like puzzle games to figure out navigation. or upkeep/tidying around the boat. maybe there could be 'events', like finding a waddle dee lost at sea and bringing them home. or needing to fix the boats engine

-prequel game of one of Button's journey's during angst-era. platformer but with a lot of puzzle aspects implemented

-if you wanted a more epic quest with co-op modes and all maybe Button caught wind of some powerful magic source and is seeking it in hopes of restoring his Halo, and of course theres a positive message in the end where no Button doesn't get his halo back but he got his Self worth back or smth. (the true halo was the friends we made along the way I guess) would still want puzzle aspects implemented

-game where kirby and co is on vacation but danger strikes and Button, Magolor, Taranza, and Marx has to take the place of Kirby and co.

-unrelated but take a moment to imagine Merry Magoland but with Button around doing his job. Imagine a special animation of them being shocked when the player gets a high score or smth

I've been staying with my gf for a while so my packages had sorta started piling up at home, I swung by to open some of them so here's a retail therapy haul ig !!

Just got back from the Fullmetal Alchemist Stage Play and HOOOLYYYYYY SHIIIIIT IT WAS SO GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!

I splurged for the good seats+commemorative present thing so that’s what the photos are, and the acrylic stands are of the cast for the evening (apparently they have a few different sets of cast that they rotated).

Gonna gush below the cut because I have a lot to say lol

They covered a surprising amount of ground in three hours! It started with the train hijacking and went all the way to the Rush Valley arc, plus Hugh’s death.

Oh my god EVERYTHING was so good, the staging, the lighting, the costumes, the music, the writing, the pacing, the action sequences—everything!

The Barry the Butcher costume was a serious highlight though, it was so accurate AND the actor could move in it FLAWLESSLY, they made it look EFFORTLESS and soooooooo fun!! God everyone on that stage was in such good shape, it made me jealous and now I’m actually considering making a workout routine lol

Fnwoskcne oh fuck Nina and Alexander???? ALEXANDER WAS A HUGE DOG SUIT WITH A GUY IN IT IT WAS GLORIOUS

Speaking of Alex’s, Armstrong was suitably ripped and very charming, though his voice wasn’t quite as deep as I’d have liked. Still so good though ahhh

I think my favorite actor was either Roy or Hughes though, like damn, they were sooooo close to the anime and were excellent! But arghhh it’s so hard to choose, Ed and Al were also great, Ed’s actor had so much fucking energy, even during curtain call. OMG IZUMI CURTIS MY BELOVED SHE WAS FANTASTIC

Oh shit Doctor Marco was SPOT ON, like you could swear he stepped right out of the Brotherhood anime, down to the voice. And he sang!! Briefly! For some reason Kimbley and Lust and Marco had a very short musical interlude right before intermission. Sounds weird just saying it like this but it felt natural enough at the time, plus they were all really good 😳

Scar’s actor was hot, sorry. He had presence and dignity, more than Bradley even

Urgh the effects were amazing too, fuckkkk they had projections and they KNEW how to use stage depth in conjunction, like EVERYONE involved in the production was ON THEIR GAME! Thank you lighting and sound design and live musicians and costume designers and choreographers and everyone else ohhh myyy goddd

The only other anime stage play I’ve seen is Mob Psycho (not live, the dvd editions), but I can confidently say that FMA must have had the budget. The Mob Psycho plays are also good but just on raw production value I’m 100% sure FMA had more funding, which I’m not necessarily surprised by. But holy shit this was so worth the ticket prices

I wasn’t sure if I was gonna buy the DVD of it later but uh, yeah. 100% I’m shelling out for this again

This is a Purpleverse Charms House Hunted Game Heim Baile Acrylic Charm was pretty neat while also smooth plastic in texture like this artist's fanart of Heim Baile was laminated in a plastic shell.

I really like the art on this keychain charm but I wish the back of the Heim Baile charm was the back of the character's design or Heim Baile holding a greasy fast food bag maybe his summer color outfit where he is wearing shorts holding a cigar than just a copy of the same image.

I'm still holding out for a house body shaped keychain charm for both REALTORs.

The charm was well packed and shipped fast while also super neat looking.

This is my third ever Etsy charm of a character that I thought would never get merch again let alone fan merch which is super rare and I hope one day I will get to see Dom Hus get a charm keychain from the same artist someday.

I also got a chibi Heim Baile sticker, a Heim Baile house friendship bracelet with a Airhead orange taffy candy, and one card from this artist.

I might review the Airheads orange taffy candy later since I never had one in a long time but the white mystery are my favorite Airheads if I had to eat these with either the blue or green ones.

This Heim charm keychain is 5 inches from the normal keychain clip to Heim Baile's foot and 3 inches from the top of Heim's head near the keychain hole to the foot.

The Heim Baile sticker is 2 inches from the top of the head to the foot.

The Heim Baile For Sale sign friendship bracelet is 4 inches from the glow in the dark star to the For Sale sign charm.

This Heim Baile charm is shorter than the Eriko Christy acrylic charm keychain.

I took a picture of this Heim Baile charm with my 1993 Bluebird Polly Pocket Light Up Church Wedding Chapel Toy House and the Dreamcast Horror game inspired Illbleed Eriko Christy 3.5" Acrylic Charm.

I also took a picture with the Maison Talo charm from the same artist.

I tried to pose these charms like Heim Baile is trying to lure Eriko Christy into his house but using the chapel as his house body.

This charm is pretty cool and I might get the John Doe one if there is a Etsy sale but if it is sold out then I might just have these two house people.

I saw someone online that has the John Doe charm and it does have two different images on the front and back of the charm which is cool.

I love this tiny silver chimneyless house charm but I wish the silver charm had a chimney to reference this pollinator house friendship bracelet but this bracelet felt it's like you are friends with a REALTORs and they randomly give you this but I don't mind this house giving this bracelet to me.

I still wonder what the character other friendship bracelet's look like with the other characters from this Etsy?

My Guess If the Illbleed Cast were to see Heim Baile as a silly B movie Illbleed level

I think Eriko Christy would be a little scared of Heim but his fourth wall B movie personality would calm Eriko down and when Heim Baile would try to do the REALTORs take down move where the lure body is on top of their prey then Eriko would be a little afraid but since Heim Baile is 4'11" and I guess Eriko is taller than Heim it would be a awkward pose to be in.

Maybe have Eriko B movie ask can I just go or leave then have Heim explain simlar to House Hunted 1/2 or 2 the April Fools game.

Eriko would be a little spooked when Heim mentions the enzyme gasses gimmick then it doesn't work while Eriko would be confused until Heim Baile sits lure body in the meat chair and have Eriko get up to just chill out with Heim.

Maybe find her missing friends safe watching tv with Heim Baile just hanging out and orders fast food like a cheeseburger pizza.

Maybe have Jorg ask this REALTORs questions on his species with the Uncanny Valley itself on how weird everything is to write a exclusive article about this place.

Heim would be similar to level 3's boss once you defeat the evil tree but it's broken saying it's backstory but the battle is already over with the boss being put up or level 4's boss where you control the boss to defeat it since the Illbleed worker is distracted.

This feels like if the Illbleed boss was trying to be serious then just wants to not fight and be buddies or lovers randomly at the end of the level then you can choose to have Heim as part of your rescued characters for a few levels but near the end just have the game say his lure cord is not long enough to follow your party as the game's excuse not to have him in new cutscenes like the game has budget cuts or the park doesn't want him to escape.

(and YES! i know!!! it’s so irritating to see people act like not living a luxurious life = bad ending or the end of the world. like… that’s so– there’s smth so “ew” about that sort of thinking. why can’t one of the leads forgo her comfy aristocratic lifestyle to become a working woman? i feel like they’d be that couple that runs the print shop together and focus on printing radical papers ugh! the perfect story for their characters)

okay, first allow me to apologize for how long it’s taken me to answer this! i won’t bore you with the details, but it’s been one thing after another (heat exhaustion, family stuff, went away with my friend for a few days, etc) so i’ve only just had the time to think about your ask.

anyway, i have mixed feelings about this season. there were things i loved— cressida and eloise, fran, john, and michaela, the featherington family— but so much of it was… lackluster. i’m going to dump my thoughts below; i’ll try (and fail) to keep each point brief!

i’ll start with the low-hanging fruit: the makeup and costumes were all over the place- most of the outfits looked cheap, ugly or both, and don’t even get me started on the acrylic nails. i miss eloise's spencer jackets (save us, sophie canale, save us!)

daphne’s not my favorite character, but i was surprised by how much i felt her absence this season. the show shines brightest when it focuses on the families, but without her everything felt a bit… emptier.

they massively underutilized benedict this season, which was a bummer, since luke t is a true talent. at least the finale (seemingly) set him up to lead s4!

re: benedict, i kept waiting for him to interact more with eloise, but it never came! she was clearly struggling this season (quieter, less rebellious, rejecting her previous interests) and i find it hard to believe that benedict wouldn’t pick up on that at all. instead the show chose to push the colin and eloise relationship, which i wasn’t a fan of. there was nothing inherently wrong with it, but it paled in comparison to ben and eloise and felt a little out of nowhere for me.

i liked polin’s dynamic in s1 and s2. though i preferred (and continue to prefer) other characters/couples, i was looking forward to their story. unfortunately, it fell flat for me. they were sold as a friends-to-lovers story, but i found that angle hard to believe. colin’s whole fake-charming persona was uncomfortable to watch- it may have been that way on purpose, but it just didn't land with me.

so much of the cast- part 2 eloise in particular- behaved incredibly OOC for the sake of the happily-ever-after. rushed, unearned happily-ever-afters aren't a new problem for this show, but it was especially apparent this season because penelope's actions as whistledown were by far the most impactful on both the main cast and the wider ton.

i also hated that the show framed penelope’s inability to let go of the column as a feminist choice. while penelope’s business acumen is impressive, whistledown is ultimately a gossip rag that wields the ton’s baked-in misogyny as a weapon. many of the women (and men) that penelope targeted did nothing to harm her. i wasn't crazy about it on a symbolic level either. whistledown was penelope's outlet when her personal life got to be too much; a real "hurt people hurt people" situation. i didn't find her choice to continue with whistledown (instead of turning over a new leaf by, say, writing novels) empowering, i found it sad. she's married to the love of her life, she’s a mother, she's mended her relationships with her family, and she's still attached to the gossip column that she has used to ruin lives and reputations. it's not a good ending for anyone.
