Hi, I've been a bit inundated with asks like these over the past month, and I hadn't really been doing enough due diligence into the blogs or people. I hadn't stop to think that their might be scams amongst the aid.

Basically, “high and dry” means a vast array of things, among which there is a sexual innuendo. 

I chose the name exclusively because I wanted a nice, catchy title that meant something like “stranded” but didn’t want to use stranded because of the Big Finish audio series. Also, “dry” and they are on a “boat” ahah me funny.

I was later made aware that some people thought the title was meant to be read as the sexual innuendo, (which I guess is fair in fanwork land lol) but it’s still gonna haunt me that someone could think my comic will have a sex scene or maybe more explicit scenes because of its title...spoiler alert, it doesn’t. I’m sorry if this is gonna disappoint anyone.

Also, can i just say also that since reading your analysis of thoschei as 13 and Dhawan!master, that she immediately thinks that all the hard work they put in to try to help change missy that it's all just gone to waste - but when he sees the lone cyberman, his immediate reaction is the same as 13 saying 'you look rough', which he then follows up with after a little bit of external internal monologue(which i have since forgotten) 'don't mean to conversion shame you'

And i just think that that is some top class chibnal making his evil 'vilan' antagonist more considerate and respectful, to others despite who they are and what they've done, than the good, moral 'hero/ine' that is the Doctor!!

Favourite fandom:

Do you mean the media itself, or the fans? If the fans - then the Eagles (a Swedish teen drama... yes, I know, it's obscure) fandom are pretty nice. (Sidenote, I really need to catch up with that show.) For the actual media - definitely Holby, I'm way too attached to that show.

Favourite characters, & why/is there a reason they're your favourite:

Henrik Hanssen is my favourite fictional character of all time, if you haven't already figured that out by my blog.

As for why he's my favourite... I identify with him more than I have with any other character, ever. Queer autistic abuse survivors with OCD and depression aren't exactly a super represented group in media, so what were the odds of me finding a character who's all those things, and not only that, but such a character whose autism presents in pretty much exactly the same way as mine (all the way down to his low empathy)? Even his body language and way of speaking are so similar to my own.

TL;DR it's just very important to me that Henrik exists.

"The Analyst" by muireanncaitlin is one of my favourite Holby fics - a brilliant Henrik and Jac friendship piece, exploring the similarities between them that drew them to each other. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/8866879/1/The-Analyst

"All Good Things Must End" by brandstifterin is a canon-compliant (well, compliant to the ORIGINAL canon story of how Henrik and Sahira met and how he felt about her, not this stupid "childhood friends" retcon the show threw in recently) fic, depicting the events of Sahira's original exit episode (S14E27) from Henrik's perspective. "You Will Be Folding Stars" by eden alice is a wonderful shipfic about Jac and Connie having a one night stand - despite the premise, it's not really smutty, as it focuses on describing the emotions involved and the more metaphorical kind of friction between Connie and Jac. "Ash" by CommanderInChief was written based off the trailer for Group Animal, when we knew there was going to be some kind of disaster at the hospital, but we didn't yet know it was a shooting. Another dark-but-brilliant fic of CommanderInChief's is "Pink", a Johnrik fic that manages to give Roxanna an even darker end than she got in canon (no mean feat).
