i know ITZY’s concept is about self confidence and the songs are more upbeat but personally I’m not a fan of it all

the album itself is catchy and nice but for me, the songs aren’t the type of songs that I’ll play on repeat

out of all of the songs, i don’t really like “ting ting ting”. i just can’t seem to like, vibe(?) with it

but my favorites of the album is “nobody like you” and “you make me”

OVERALL

overall, i felt that this comeback was definitely an improvement for itzy in dance and vocal wise. I’ve watched a few of their mr removed ( by the channel “lyma” bc it’s the only one I trust ) and their all quite stable, I’m surprised how stable ryujin can be she does the shoulder move. like I said before, lia has improved a lot in this comeback, she’s like jihyo where their voices doesn’t fit their groups initial concept, but with time, lia can improve like how jihyo did. yeji is really stable and i can understand why she gets most lines. yuna has improved and chaeryeong has been quite stable since debut, so i think she could get more lines. my only complain is that I wished that chaeryeong was the center during the dance break, considering the fact that she’s the main dancer

That's so true, bad album is not something sf9 does. And every single song in Narcissus is amazing like they have everything i like in an album, a wonderful title track, fun songs and a sad one. I also just really love the styling, the color palette and all that went into it.

Deciphering a morning of emptiness [Kuuhaku no Asa MV breakdown]

Ah, it’s still an empty morning.

…well, not really deciphering the meaning of the song itself (as to not to put words in the singer’s mouth—I’ll leave it to the listeners to figure it out for themselves), but more of “breaking down the visuals of the MV into more understandable text, because there’s a lot going on besides from the song.”

Since the singer (Shiryu Kamiya) produced everything in Kuuhaku no Asa all by himself, it is different from all of his other songs in the sense that part of the song’s meaning can be found in the MV—not just in the visual sense, but literally written there.

(0:02-0:04) The song starts with 「愛などない 」 (“There is no love”), and the line  「 〇 〇 とは我々の原罪である 」 (“ __ is our original sin”) cuts in, with the first word replaced by different words. I wasn’t able to catch every single one of them, but here’s most what I’ve caught:

This part of of the MV (which I would be calling “The Messed-up Brain” for reasons you’ll understand below), which is shown when these lines were sung

So You Wanna Be a MadPi? 🐒

But you don’t know where to start. Never fear for I, Lily, am here to be your guide.

So here’s a quick rundown of Madtown, my favorite village idiots:

They debuted on October 6, 2014. They are actual idiots but so ridiculously talented. They compose and produce most of their songs and lyrics and are very hands on when it comes to their performances.

So who’s who? Left to right, it’s: Lee Geon, Heojun, Moos, Buffy, Jota, H.O, and Daewon.

Moos (real name: Kim Sangbae, aka SangBAE cuz he is 100% bf material) is their tiny leader and main rapper (fun fact: he’s an awesome professional DJ). He may be the smallest of the group, but he is feisty af with killer eyebrows (and he kinda looks like GD).  He and Buffy (see below) debuted in 2013 as rap duo Pro-C and they still release songs under the subunit.

Daewon (real name: Park Daewon, aka Sunshine Hyung cuz he is literal sunshine) is their main dancer (fun fact: he choreographs ALL of their dances) and sub-vocalist.  He lives by the motto “Talk shit, get hit” because he is always getting hit. He’s the proud owner of two precious Corgis (Haunie and Baunie) and a chip bag collection (don’t ask why cuz idk).  Also, his smile is brighter than 1000 suns and honestly, what more could you need in life?

Lee Geon (real name: Lee Kyungtak, aka Frog Prince cuz he is deathly afraid of frogs) is the main vocalist of the group and honestly, his voice is too good for this world.  He and Daewon are known as the Walnut Line because they are from the same hometown, Cheonan, and they were childhood best friends!  He posts vocal covers on their YouTube channel and trust me, they are amazing.  He looks soft, but he is not. Geonnie is sassy af and takes zero shit.

Next up is Jota (real name: Lee Jonghwa) and he’s a lead vocalist, sub-rapper, and head of acrobatics.  This Busan boy and Taeyang look alike is the group’s resident sinnamon roll, rising variety tv star (he was on WGM with model JinKyung and istg I ship them so hard), and personal chef (fun fact: he loves to cook and always tries to make dinner for the boys whenever he can).

Then there’s Heojun (real name: Heo Jun), resident diva and self-proclaimed visual (fun fact: he’s the tallest in the group at 6′0″/183 cm).  Besides giving the members (read: Daewon) crap and reminding you how perfect he is (have you seen those cheekbones fam?), he’s plays the piano, co-composes, and co-choreographs.

Now there’s Buffy (real name: Kim Juhyeon, aka RUDE MF Buf), the lead rapper of the group.  He’s also the group’s main producer and writes most of their lyrics.  If you ever want to find Buf in the group, look for the guy with sky high cheekbones that’s off to the side doing something weird. Trust me. You’ll know it’s him. He’s fluent in Japanese and actually taught the members most of the Japanese they know (fun fact: people thought he was a foreigner because of his fluency and looks, but he’s 100% Seoul bred and raised).

Finally, we have H.O (real name: Song Jaeho, Meme Puppy), who’s the lead vocalist, lead dancer, and maknae (fun fact: Buf’s older than him by three days) of the group.  He’s loud, funny, wild, silly, precious, and mischievous (see: infamous v app “pants drop”).  He’s also a living, breathing meme (hence his nickname).

NOW TO THEIR SONGS!

This was the first song that I heard by them and I was immediately snatched.  I can listen to it for hours on end and never get tired of it.  The MV shows their personalities so well and it had me laughing and smiling the entire time until Buf came on screen and wrecked me.

^This was the title track off their 3rd mini album Emotion, which was released in June.  Look, I’m seriously so in love with this song.  It’s such a 180 from their usual style, but it really shows just how much they’ve grown musically and I’m just so ridiculously proud of them for it.

 This vid is my fave live stage of it. It’s just so good. And then there’s the part switch version, which is absolute perfection and amazing and hilarious.  It really showcases just how close they are with each other because they absolutely NAIL each other’s mannerisms (see: Lee Geon playing Heojun and blinking incessantly like Junnie does).  Oh and did I mention that both Buf (who has adamantly claimed he can’t sing) and Moosie sing in this vid? Cuz they do. (I’m still shook over it tbh.)

And did I mention they are basically ALL dance line???? Because they are.  

This dance practice (and entire v live, tbh) is high quality content.  This particular cut is of them practicing their debut song.  It’s absolutely hilarious and shows you that they are all just super goofy overgrown children. And even though they’re being wild and crazy, they are still soooooo in sync with each other and you can see just how much fun they have together.

My BTS Wings Tour Experience

This is super duper long and all over the place and just something I need written down somewhere so everything’s under the cut

* The fact that even before the concert people lit up the arena w army bombs * MVs were shown and everyone did the fanchants just as hard even tho the concert didn’t even start yet * The armys I met around me were super duper freaking nice * LIKE SUPER NICE * People were polite in line and once going into the venue, very little shoving * Merch was a little too expensive but bitch that army bomb is now my child * Ok now the concert * I took so many videos I think of each song but I can’t tell u all the sin that happened in chronological order * So during first ments * ENGLISH * There is not one time they spoke a Korean word except to say I love you and thank you * Obvi rap mon had no problem but
I couldn’t help notice the others struggle to find the words but the army support was unbelievable * Even tho some of their sentences didn’t make sense - and u could see they knew it - but we cheered hard just to kinda say you did ur best and we still love u * Plus it was super cute hearing them go “uhHhh” * Also for each member introducing themselves the ones that stood out to me * starting with YOONGI goddamnit * The camera was on him and we were all cheering and just does not speak bc he wants us to cheer louder * And louder * AND L O U D E R * he even took out his ear piece * THEN he introduces himself which is EX TRA * THEN JIN DID THE SAME AND BLEW A KISS(?) * JHOPE OMFG * “WHATS POPPIN!???” * everyone screaming * “IM YOUR HOPE” * more screaming * “IM YOUR ANGEL” * everyone is going nuts * BEING ADORABLE ANGRL THAT HE IS “IM JHOPE” * from what’s poppin I knew by the end of the concert he would move up the bias list * Lemme just mention my favorite solos righty quick * JHOPE RAPMON AND JIN * MAMA WAS SO FUCKING GOOD * JHOPE PLAYED THE CROWD SO WELL * THE ENERGY WAS AMAZING * and the music cut on purpose and he did his thing and just Sjdbskdnffiehrb * also his boy meets evil. Fucking NUT * For reflection I nearly cried bc I got to experience everyone saying “we love you” to namjoon during his “i wish I could love myself” * ABSOLUTELY HEARTWRENCHIBNG FOR ME * tbh Jin’s solo. I was just so freakin speechless. Besides the fanchants I think everyone just poured themselves into the song * I never knew the hyung line could literally SNATCH me like this since I’m usually maknae biased * ALSO THE FREAKIN RAINBOW PROJECT. I WAS SO BLESSED TO BE A PART OF THAT OCEAN GODVLESS * also may I add rap mon basically acknowledging my slowly listing the colors bc English expert y'all get w it * I also just saw this but jHOE flipping the bird??? * Idk why but I’m here for that.
