the manuscript is such a special way to end the album because she’s essentially saying, ‘this is what truly caused all the events explored on this album (and my entire discography) , and this is what it was for.’ looking backwards might be the only way to move forward.

I keep drawing stuff for the ask blog and then realizing i can't post it lmao (by "this keeps happening" i mean its happened three times I'm just dramatic)
look. look. the siblings au was just me having fun writing a story, and then one day i drew and posted one (one) meme about it to my account with twelve (twelve) followers, and it somehow blew up??? so i kept posting more about the au cause... people liked it! exciting! and now i have 321 followers and i have NO idea how that happened lmao but uh it did.
the thing is, the story and the canon is pretty dark in a few parts (obviously lol) and I'm worried about posting any more-in-detail angst and a few things i havent even mentioned bc i dont know how much i trust you guys to listen to trigger warnings. no offence of course!!!! im sure you guys are super responsiple and stuff, i just want to be careful, human curiousity is a very powerful thing and i know ive probably looked at a few under the cut things that I knew would upset me just because i was curious lol.
is that just me??? let me know if it is bc im clueless lmao
i just wanna know like. if i were to make a post on the ask blog with the comic under the cut and a "tw suicide" or something on top, would people actually lisen to that and be careful? I'm always worried that people will ignore those

i'm gonna say something controversial yet brave but i think the people that claim taylor swift is the best song writer of our generation and the people that say shes a horrible lyricist are like. equally stupid. like yes she has some banger lines that strike the soul but she also has lines like "i never don't cry at the bar" like let's be serious. her pen is inconsistent at best and there are FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR better lyricists in the game currently

Delayed Day 1 of FE Sibling Week: Clothes
Look, I have a lot of emotions for these siblings and I jumped on the chance to give Sharena some matching clothes to her dear brothers. She deserves them!

Didn’t hate the finale. Not the best episode of the season but not bad. I actually like Agatha’s sacrifice and ending. She couldn’t save Nicky, but she could save the little twink who reminds her so much of him. I also don’t mind no Agathario backstory. The show was never really about them, it’s about Agatha and her relationship with Billy. I think focusing on her and Nicky and her loss thematically fits so much.
I get that ghost Agatha is silly, but I’ll never complain about more Katherine Hahn.

haven't listened to the anthology yet, but i do think her music is suffering from the sheer quantity she's putting out while doing all this other stuff tbh. feels more like an overproduced electronic cashgrab than real layered music despite some tortured lyrics. like ttpd the first half has such a sameness to over half of it.... and that sameness is tied to midnights too imo. i really wish i could experience the joy of albums like 1989/folklore/evermore and def her country earlier stuff but. she can be a lyric writing machine (she needs someone to veto some of it thoughnfjdkfjd feels like no one can tell her no) but not lean on the exact same production style for this long bc it's kinda getting old to me and i really do enjoy so much of her discography like 😭😭😭 idk. i know swifties are just gonna eat up whatever she does, and i've always been in between the absolute worshipping crowd and the absolute hater crowd but some of the music/production part is so uninspired.

Ok ok ok, this episode was like the greatest hits of guest characters. We got a BERT BERT. We got a TAMARA, we got tangle ALICE, hell we even got another appearance of youngest LEIFFF. Like come on I love it. These little dangling character threads from earlier in the season and the Young Leif series we sewn up beautifully.

I'm still thinking about that scene in Victoriocity S3E7 where Fleet runs back towards the Beast so as to lure it into the path of the train...
Clara's exclamation of 'Teamwork, Fleet!' after Fleet says he's got a plan reflects her conviction that any plan that Fleet has will be a shared plan, something they do together.
This conviction is a kind of trust, and that trust is part of the reason Clara takes a moment to realise Fleet has headed back towards the Beast. She trusts that he's following behind her. She keeps talking to him, her words full of optimism.
When she realises Fleet isn't there, she immediately realises what that must mean he's done, and her voice sounds more small and scared than I think we've ever heard it before.
Fleet's attempt at self-sacrifice is a kind of betrayal of Clara's trust, but when he echoes her celebration of their teamwork in a more somber tone, I think it suggests that he understands the weight of that betrayal.
If Fleet's plan is that Clara won't realise he's gone until it's already too late, then he thinks "Teamwork, Clara" will be the last words he'll ever speak to her. In what he imagines will be their final conversation, Fleet affirms Clara's understanding of them as a team who work well together, even as he is making a choice that rejects the possibility of their teamwork in this scenario. It's a recognition of what their dynamic has meant. It's a goodbye and an apology, even if Clara doesn't understand it as such at first.
I don't think Fleet sounds scared as he initially faces down the train. When he shouts "Yeah, this way, you stupid machine! Come on then!", he sounds defiant and grimly determined.
In fact, I don't think he sounds afraid until Clara appears, until she might be at risk of being in the path of the Beast or the train as well. It's when he shouts "Clara, stay back for God's sake!" and "Please, get back!" that there's real fear and desperation in his voice. He can confront the idea of giving his own life, but not the idea that doing so might put Clara in danger.
Another thing about these lines is that the move from 'stay back' to 'get back' suggests that Clara didn't obey his first instruction but got closer to him (and therefore to the path of the Beast and the train) between those two lines.
Then Fleet gives what might be another attempt at his last words: "I'm sorry! I'm sorry."  A repeated apology before an attempted self-sacrifice is an implicit acknowledgement of how much losing him would hurt Clara. He regrets causing her pain.
Even so, he's accepted that he is about to die and that it'd be worth it to destroy the Beast. But Clara very much hasn't accepted either those things. She's still trying to yell over the noise of the train; she's pulling off her ring to throw at him.
I think it's a good illustration of how Clara's optimism is a kind of strength. She always believes that they can "make a new plan" and that it'll be one in which no one has to die. I think Archibald Fleet needs someone like that, someone who'll tell him to drop to the ground when his death advances from both sides, someone who - even in a dark tunnel with an murderous metal monster and a speeding train - won't stop shouting that there's hope.

i know we talk about red a lot but i really would highly recommend going through taylor’s press from the red era (yes, there’s a Lot, and a lot of really interesting stuff isn’t on this playlist, but it’s a good place to start), watching her grammypro session in 2015, listening to her rolling stone podcast episode about red from fall 2020, watching the short film / red tv promo / the BTS from the set, then watching her tribeca & TIFF talks, listening to maroon, reading through transcripts of all too well speeches from the first two months of tour (y’all know where to look), and then listening to the manuscript. yes that is a LOOOT of content (and I haven’t done it in this order either - I’ve just listened to all of these over the years), but it gives you such a good understanding of like all aspects of taylor as a person and how this album shaped her. the manuscript still gives me the chills after dozens of listens. the red tv to midnights (particularly yoyok and maroon) to eras & ttpd timeline is a huge story on its own. idk idk it’s so fascinating to watch this story unfold in real time. and the years passed like scenes of a show etc etc. Actually I’m going to make a condensed playlist lol
