stranger things season one 2016 was so fucking incredible. it exists as an entirely different entity to me than the rest of the show. you literally just had to be there. to this day nothing has ever come close to the amount of universal love for a fictional story that stranger things first received. ive been chasing this high for eight years.

#ik theres a lot of young fans of this show that are teenagers rn and listen #if you were too young to watch this when it first came out I DONT THINK YOU REALIZE HOW HUGE IT WAS AT THE TIME #THE FIRST TEASER FOR SEASON TWO LITERALLY PREMIERED DURING THE SUPERBOWL #THAT ALPHABET WALL DID SOMETHING TO OUR BRAINS AND CHANGED THE WAY WE MAKE AND CONSUME SCIFI FOREVER #i genuinely believe that scene of joyce looking around at all the lights is one of the most iconic scenes in tv history #like i cant even explain it to you we lost our fucking minds over this show it was unlike anything anybody has ever seen #this was such a pivotal memory of my junior and senior year year of high school #everyone was wearing merch my teachers would gush about it in class everyone tuned in to watch the cast on fallon it was EVERYWHERE #and do not even get me started on halloween that year oh my god #it was just so fucking fun i miss it #just rewatched s1 and all i can think about is 17 year old me losing my fucking mind #its such an amazing season #i do understand why some people say they wish it stopped at season one im glad they didnt but i see where theyre coming from #stranger things #byler

he is old. he is retired. he'll never be a motogp rider. the closest he'll get to his past glory is this: mentoring young riders to the champagne and accolades he still wants

valentino was dragged kicking from the valentino rossi to valetino rossi, walking memorabilia

and they should fuck about it somewhere on the ranch around the mud-crusty bikes

but for once pecco isn't overthinking things to the point of insanity (crucially delirious from the unlikely win and days of partying) and misses the weird vibes in the air

#there's something compelling to me that vale's #neurotic methodical and frankly uncharismatic rider #is his most succesful one. his only succesful one if you want to be particularly harsh about it #also i'm rather charmed by pecco #a stubborn contrarian #his vaguely (if not faintly naive) heresies in loving ducati and really admiring casey stoner before valentino got cool with both #and listen. vale is indulgent with pecco as he always is with his academy riders #gets him a goddamn nutella cake (it's way too sweet for him and mostly everyone else)#but pecco usually avoids it midseason. is very good on this self-discipline that feels like self-punishment at times #(something else about young riders that valentino doesn't understand)#makes everyone put up with pecco's playlist #hunts pecco down when he ditches his own party to get some air (he was feeling a little nauseous. crucially to me pecco is a lightweight)#(that one friend who always pukes in parties)#opens him up gently with what feels like half a bottle of lube #and fucks him gently. lights on. face to face. “there he is” he says “our world champion” just for the way pecco laughs delightedly #all the while there's something heavy and burning inside of him that for the love of god can't be jealousy because what does pecco have #to be jealous of #pecco the world champion. pecco who made a fucking ducati work for him. pecco the motogp rider #chev tag novels #peccovale

#it’s a collab with batmoniker!#it’s set in Sept/Oct ish #after school starts up again #and it involves some Proper Comic Book stuff #no one throws up in it so I should get points for that!!#a few days ago I got so frustrated trying to work out the logistics in one scene that I cried a little #then felt very dumb bc I’m a grown woman and this is fanfic #then called batmoniker in a panic like listen what if we just scrap the whole fic #and she was like orrrrr #we could NOT do that and just delete the part that isn’t working #and I was like ‘but it would be so satisfying to just delete everything‘#and she’s like ‘I support you but……maybe just try this first’#ANYWAY it started sort of coming together today #and I THINK it’s somewhat steering in the right direction #it’s got a TON of pov shifting #including one bit that’s outsider POV #and that makes it quite a challenge #I’m currently on an Alfred section #it has more action than I generally write #but there will still be a good bit of hurt/comfort bc I’m still me #batmoniker and I came up with this idea like 3 years ago while slightly drunk the first time we ever met up irl #so that’s the vibe #and if this fic ever sees the light of day it will be 100% thanks to batmoniker #settle our bones

yeah i think he (rise donnie specifically since that's the papatello i'm working on) would be one of those dads who has a big talk about how he's so strict, about the intense regiment he has his kid on to maximize their development, and he's always the most annoying piece of shit at the PTA meeting. flex brag flex brag

but then his little toddler comes up to him on wobbly legs and puts her hands on his calf, tapping at him for his attention and looks up at him with paint all over her face from where she got into the art supplies at the back of the classroom and made a huge ass mess, and he just melts at her crooked little grin (bc dad is the favorite) and is completely incapable of chastising her in any shape or form

that changes when she grows up and starts to act so much like him that he HAS to be firmer with her. the first time he has to put her in time out they both ugly cry a lot
