I've decided to open up Lisa Frankenstein writing requests! Mostly one shots or imagines, but I'll be continuing my full-length work on AO3 (read it if you want a sense of my style!) at the same time, so patience may be key! But I love this movie and I would love to write for it, so send me your requests and I'll see what I can do!
A few rules:
-I don't write smut, but romance is fine
-Violence and gore are up to my discretion, but should be mostly okay
-I reserve the right to refuse any request
But that's about it for now! Send me your requests and I'll see what I can do! I look forward to it!

Thinking about how this must have felt...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being able to freely move his body again, to feel some semblance of life after over a century of lying in that grave rotting. Up to this point, he's been so stiff, lumbering around arduously. But this is where he becomes more man than corpse.
And the first thing he does with his newfound life?
Tumblr media
He dances with Lisa.
Tumblr media
He knows there is a piano inside. He could go in and play it for her, he could finally play music after nearly 200 years without it. But he dances with Lisa.
With his new life, all he wants to do is be with Lisa. To touch her, love her, make her happy. He has all this energy and he gives it all to her. Everything is for her.

Something really poignant about Lisa Frankenstein, to be at least, is the fact that when the creature attacks Janet, it’s not when she’s being rude to her. It’s not when she’s just saying rude things, or beoittling Lisa, or anything. It’s when Janet says that she’s going to admit Lisa.
Because the creature is from the 1830s. And even if he knows about modern culture and inventions, which he sort of seems to?, he’s still FROM the 1830s. And when Janet says the word admitted, he hears the word committed. When Janet says Serenity Manor, he knows that that means an asylum. And he knows what asylums are. They are dangerous places. They are places where you’re stripped of all autonomy. They are places where you send people away to become someone else’s problem, and they normally don’t come back. And so he attacks. He protects Lisa.
And I think that draws a really important comparison between what asylums were, and what mental care is now. Because in a lot of ways, it isn’t much better. There’s still a lot of abuse in the system. There’s still a complete lack of autonomy. There’s still so much ableism and bias within the system. And people are still sent there to get them out of other peoples ways, rather than strictly to help them. And, sure, this movie is set in the 80s, so it’s not exactly modern. I mean, the movie points out that times are different. But with Janet, it almost seems intent on pointing out of similar everything is. Sending Lisa to a psych ward. The diet culture. The “intuitive person” thing. That one line about narcissists needing to be vanquished. And all these things are still a pretty big issue now.
There’s just a lot of comparison. ESPECIALLY a lot of comparison when it comes to disability and madness in these three distinct time periods. And like, it’s obvious that mental health was used as a weapon against people, and especially WOMEN, in the 1830s. But Lisa Frankenstein highlights that in the 80s, it was still a weapon! And that psych ward programs still poses a threat. Theres a comparison between how Janet and Lisa’s dad erase Lisa’s grief and say that she’s “acting out” compared to female hysteria of the creature’s time. There’s also the creature’s reaction to being physically disabled vs Lisa’s, with Patch and everything, but that honestly is another post entirely.
I just think that the discussion of mental health in this film is really important and, frankly, really well done. Especially especially especially through the lens that Lisa is a girl. And Lisa Frankenstein is a movie about GIRLHOOD. And so the movie took the extra step to talk about the denial of women’s feelings and specifically grief, and the pathologization of them. When women feel in a way outside of a norm, they’re wrong. They’re crazy. They’re dangerous. And idk I just think it’s done really well and the comparisons are all right there.
And this is all in a movie based on Frankenstein. This is all about a character based on Victor Frankenstein. The MAD scientist. So I feel like it all fits together incredibly well.

Dating Creature Would Include
Tumblr media
He likes to stare. Just unabashedly looking at you constantly. Especially in those moments when you're not looking back when you're absorbed in what you're doing and just existing
Loves to touch you leaning his head on your shoulder, pressing a kiss to the back of your head or temple, and of course hand holding
Speaking of he will give you the most hurt puppy dog eyes if you're holding hands and you let go for whatever reason
He loves infodumping the more excited you get the sweeter your voice sounds. The way your words crash together and your voice swells like a rushing wave
He can tell when you're too in your head and will just wrap you in his arms and sway gently for a while
You take turns reading your latest books aloud to each other. The listeners head in the readers lap as they play with the others hair
Going outside on rainy days to save earthworms from the side walk
Body image issues are gently but firmly cast aside as they come up. Never invalidating insecurities just genuine unwavering admiration that lets those unhelpful thoughts melt away.
Introducing him to new snacks. It's like those videos of babies eating lemons. He's a white man from the Victorian era his mind is easily blown
Any time he writes you a song you show him one you think he'll like. He's generally a music snob about modern music but is a sucker for a love songs especially the ones you like
He gets restless with his look sometimes and lets you dress him up.

"Thank you for being nice to me when no one else was. I did notice. It's just that your mom was so heinous that I'd already decided that you were too. You're the type of person who usually bullies me or looks right through me. But you didn't. You actually went out of your way to try to tell people I was part of your family. You really actually wanted me to be your sister. You are, you know? You are my sister. You're a great person, Taff. And I'm sorry I hurt you. I love you."

How do you think Creature proposed? I know we see part of it in the film but i'm sitting her kicking my feet thinking about them running back to the room and Lisa is ready to go, and Creature suddenly stops and she's confused and asks him what's wrong. Is the stitching bad? Does he need another round in the tanning bed? Did he change his mind?
And he just stands there staring at her trying to think of how to convey that he loves her so much and no matter what happens to them, they will not share the same fate of going to the grave unmarried. and in the middle of Lisa trying to decipher all of this he just grabs her bag of peach rings and gets on one knee.

can you write a fan fic of lisa x creature that’s just a bunch of fluff? cuddling and kisses etc, basically him just showering her with the affection she really deserves. pls & thank u 😊
Here you go!
Lisa usually gets home from work first, since she only has a short walk and he has to take the subway from the wealthier side of the city. Today is different, though; she comes into their apartment and sheds her coat and he’s already home. She doesn’t really need the coat, because she’s far less sensitive to the cold now, but it keeps people from asking questions.
He glances at her and his eyes go all soft, and oh, that look never gets old. The crappy little secondhand radio on the kitchen counter is playing a rock song that doesn’t at all fit the waltz she lets him pull her into, but when he’s smiling at her like he is, she couldn’t care less. This, right here, is all that matters.
The song changes. They come to a stop, and he brushes a kiss against the tip of her nose just to make her laugh, and she’s happy.

From The Grave - Randy Meeks
The Creature!Randy Meeks x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
WORD COUNT: 1025
WARNINGS: post death randy, the briefest description of corpse randy, mention of roadkill, nothing too graphic tho <3, reader is around randys age when he died but no specifc age is said, inspired by lisa frankenstein <3
His grave was tucked underneath a large willow tree, the branches hanging low and wide, hiding his lone headstone. You discovered it a few months ago on a warm spring afternoon as you carefully made your way through the abandoned graveyard in Woodsboro, stepping over gnarled roots and vines. The headstone was cracked, covered in moss and dirt, but you could just barely make out some of the writing on it as you got closer, your hand swinging by your side as the leaves of the tree shaded you from the sun.
“Randy Meeks. 1978-1997.”
He was young, like you. Alone, too, if the state of his grave was any indication. Despite passing the other graves, all in similar states of disrepair, something about this one stood out to you. Maybe it was the fact you knew nothing of him; other headstones told you that buried deep in the ground was a husband, a wife, a child, but here there was nothing. Or, maybe, it was the fact that he was of similar age to you and was hidden away like you so often felt.
Regardless, you spent the next hour carefully scraping the moss off of the stone with your finger and, when the grime became too hard to simply push off, with your pen. You didn’t have any water or soap and as you stand, wiping your hands off onto your jeans with a pleased smile at the progress, you resolve to come back tomorrow and finish cleaning it up. Sure, no one ever came through here, and the grass was as high as your knees in some parts of the cemetery, and you swore when you turned your back to his grave you could feel someone staring at you, but you were going to finish your job here.
And so you did. The next day, bright and early, you clean up Randy Meeks’s headstone until it sparkles in the sunlight that broke through the gaps of the leaves. But then you come back the next day, and the next, and the next. For weeks, whenever you have the chance to, you make your way through the rusted iron fence and through the thick grass to him.
Always to him.
You eventually wear down a path to his grave, the grass around the headstone itself squashed down from your constant pacing as you talk out loud. Talking helped clear your mind, and despite no response, you felt more seen and understood by him than you ever had before. You sometimes caught yourself pausing after a sentence as if waiting for a response and everytime you swore the wind would pick up and the leaves above you would rustle his answer.
Each time you left the cemetery, you’d write off whatever you felt in the moment and resign yourself back to your lonely existence.
And then the strange storm happened. Dark, green, swirling clouds loomed in the sky above you, but they couldn't deter you. You made your way to the cemetery, rested your head on his gravestone, fingers tracing the etching of his name, and cried. Your whispers came out quick and harsh, cut off with random gulps of air, as you told him how you just wished you and he could be together. How your life was awful, how all you wanted was to be seen and loved and be treated how you knew he would treat you.
You wanted to join him in death since he couldn't join you in life.
There was a crack of thunder, a flash of light, and when your eyes opened you were back home. You shake it off, sure you made your way home on auto-pilot. As you stumble through your routine to get ready for bed, you pause at the sound of a groan outside. Just as you turn your head to investigate, your front window shatters and a foul smell reminiscent of the decomposing fox on the side of the road you pass by everyday wafts in. Your hand covers your mouth and nose to stop from hurling just as he crawls through your window.
After a few laps around your house, you sit across from him in your bedroom, staring at him wearily. “Who are you?” Is the only thing you can think to ask, though it doesn’t result in much. The man keeps grunting, getting increasingly more frustrated at your lack of understanding. He’s caked in mud and god knows what else, his eyes a bright blue. He can’t talk and you can’t understand him, but you swear you know him from somewhere. You run through the list of men you know, name after name, but he shakes his head after each one, his fingers drumming on his bent knee.
Eventually you stand and give him a notebook and a pen, hoping he can write. You watch as he takes it, his eyes focused on the paper in front of him, his tongue poking out from his lips as he concentrates. Finally, he looks up and meets your eye, an intensity in them you hadn't seen before. You take the notebook and look down, gasping quietly as you read the name.
“Randy?” You ask, eyes widening slightly as you look back towards him. He nods. “My Randy? From the graveyard?” Another nod and the closest thing to a smile you’ve seen him make yet. None of it makes sense. You knew that the real Randy Meeks had been dead for years but here he was in front of you. “Could you hear me? When I spoke to you?”
He nods his head once again, reaching his large hand out for yours. You grimace slightly at the feeling of the mud and viscera on his skin but you don't pull away. Instead, you watch with a morbid curiosity as he brings your hand to his undead lips, pressing them against your hand. Your hand tingles, a lightning bolt crawling up your arm.
It was him. He was here for you. Somehow, someway, he clawed his way out of death to find you.
It was the most romantic thing you could think of.

your drabble of taffy meeting the creature earlier on the film makes me want to see those two being friends. but also taffy realising the creature likes lisa but lisa is too focused on michael to notice. catch her putting some colour on his face and painting his nails. she makes him watch romantic films to give him ideas on how to win lisa over
I'm glad you liked the last one! I have no idea of you meant for this to be a request but I took it as one anyway, please enjoy some Creature/Taffy bonding time!
🪦🪦🪦🪦🪦🪦🪦🪦🪦
“Okay, the next thing we have to work on is your nails, because no offense, but judging by these cuticles I can absolutely tell that you were in the ground for a century and a half.”
The corpse across from her grunted in indignation, but the effect was skewed by the blush that dusted his cheeks and the fluffy pink scrunchie that was currently holding his hair back.
Taffy rolled her eyes teasingly and held out her hand, gesturing for the creature to give her his. He complied, and she grabbed the manicure kit she had gotten for Christmas the year before and got to work, pushing his cuticles back gently and cleaning up his nail beds as best she could while her TV announced the next music video it would be playing behind her.
They were sitting on the floor of Taffy’s bedroom; Lisa had gone out for a snack run and left her step sister alone with her secret undead companion, and Taffy hadn’t hesitated to use the opportunity to give the creature in her sister’s closet some much-needed pampering.
He had protested the idea until Taffy had told him it would make him look more presentable for Lisa, and soon he was reluctantly sitting cross-legged in front of her on her bright teal carpet while Taffy tried and failed to find a foundation shade that matched his pallid skin.
The process of applying makeup hadn’t lasted long since the creature wanted to remain as natural (unnatural?) as possible, and soon Taffy was taking his hand in hers and applying a base coat of nail polish onto his left hand while he watched curiously. Her TV was tuned into MTV, and she could see Creature stare at it for short bursts at a time before looking away, slightly overwhelmed by the colors, sounds and images he was being exposed to for the first time.
Taffy hummed along as she fixed up his nails, and when she finished up the left hand she mimed blowing on it and told him to copy her, which he did as she moved onto the right hand, ignoring the stitches as she got started.
A few minutes of silence lapsed between them; the creature was probably still a little unsure of whether or not he should be hanging around with her; they had a shaky introduction, but he seemed harmless enough to Taffy and she was just happy that someone was around for her sister in a way she herself had never quite been able to despite her best efforts, so he was okay in her book. And Taffy was clearly the family member that Creature had the least amount of disdain towards, so they had formed a tentative friendship, one that Taffy was currently trying to strengthen with this little makeover.
Deciding to break the silence, she looked up into the corpse’s bewildered eyes and smiled, tearing him away from his staring contest with Billy Idol in the “Rebel Yell” music video.
“Don’t even think about getting bleached, buddy. Blonde would not be a good look for you.”
He grunted again, slightly offended, but she waved him off.
“Let’s rap. When did you first get the hots for Lisa?”
His grunt pitched up in surprise, and he gave her a look that was somehow sheepish, guilty and mortified all at once.
“Dude, it’s totally obvious. You aren’t subtle AT ALL, I think everyone but Lisa herself can see that you’re totally smitten.”
His cheeks darkened under the artificial blush she had given him, and she nodded sagely.
“Told you. So, when did it happen? When you got reanimated?”
The creature shook his head and pointed out an arched path with his left hand.
“Oh, before? When you were still in the ground?”
He nodded, and Taffy whistled, impressed.
“Damn, that’s some dedicated crush. Who knew grave tending was such a good way to meet guys?”
The creature snorted out a laugh, and Taffy raised a well-plucked eyebrow inquisitively.
“So when are you going to tell her that you’re head over heels, huh? Frankly I think she should have noticed ages ago, but she’s always needed a bit more help in matters of love than most people and she won’t take my word for it, so you’re probably going to have to do some show and tell before she gets it.”
He hummed distractedly, his blush still very much present as he thought about ways to woo Taffy’s stepsister. She finished up his right hand and took his left again, his brow sill deeply furrowed in thought as she picked up the bottle of black nail polish that she had gotten for the Miss Tristate Teen Halloween pageant and began applying it to his now-dry nails.
“I can practically hear the wheels turning in your head, you know. If you need any help we can go raid her VHS collection, I know she’s got some rom coms in there that you could get some inspiration from.”
He groaned in agreement, eyebrows still scrunched together. Taffy rolled her eyes fondly at the lovesick, oblivious idiot in front of her.
“But you know, you probably don’t need much help. She may not realize it yet, but I can tell she’s got feelings for you, too. I don’t have to be an I.P. for that, I just know. I haven’t seen her talk or smile this much since I met her, and it doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that she’s turning heads in the hallway. That’s all you, and I’m sure she’ll realize it eventually. Just so long as you keep doing what you’re doing and practically worshiping the ground she walks on, she’ll figure it out. I promise.”
She switched to his other hand as the creature absorbed her words, and when she looked up he grunted, the words lost but the message clear.
Thank you.
She beamed at him.
“You’re welcome. Just don’t break her heart, or else I’m going to put you back in the ground for good this time, okay?”
She said it brightly, but her eyes were anything but joking. Creature’s own widened in turn and he shook his head vigorously and with complete conviction. Taffy nodded, satisfied.
“Now hold still or you’re going to mess me up.”
The corpse complied, letting Taffy get back to work. She hummed along to the music video playing behind her, and she was just about to put the finishing touches on his thumb when the front door opened and shut under them, and the sound of combat booted feet trampling up the stairs caught their attention. A few seconds later, Lisa poked her head into Taffy’s bedroom door, arms laden with candy bags and eyes bright.
“Oh, hey guys! Are you doing makeovers?”
“Yep! Come join us, though I should warn you I require payment for my services in the form of Bottlecaps.”
Lisa smiled and walked into the room, handing the previously mentioned candy to Taffy before plopping down next to her corpse, patting the top of his head before taking a look at the spread of self-care items before them.
While Lisa was absorbed in her examinations, Taffy absolutely did not miss the absolutely adoring eyes the creature was turning her way, nor the way his longing practically radiated off of him in waves. She grinned, and the corpse looked up and caught her eye. She winked at him and gave him a quick double thumbs-up out of Lisa’s view, and his eyes widened, before he relaxed slightly and gave her a shy, conceding smile.
The moment was interrupted by Lisa straightening, her hands wrapped around the same bottle of nail polish Taffy had just finished using on the Creature.
“Oooh, can you do mine? I didn’t even know you had black in your collection and I’m awful at doing my own right hand.”
Taffy smiled, utterly delighted at the idea of helping her sister out with a fresh coat of paint. She stretched out her hand and Lisa took it, fingers spread as she bounced a little. The goth looked over at her undead companion as Taffy began painting, and when she noticed his nails her smile widened.
“Hey, look at that. We’re gonna match!”
He beamed at her in turn, his devotion lined in every crease of his face, and Lisa scooted slightly closer to him, their thighs pressed together.
Taffy turned her attention to her work, just barely keeping the smile off of her own face.
They’ll figure it out. Eventually.

kinda just want a fic of lisa protecting taffy from every bad thing post the movie because that’s her ✨ sister ✨
taffy whose ready to go off with some sketchy dude gets stood up because of lisa like ʕʘ‿ʘʔ “scram.” but then ‘anonymously’ buys taffy a milkshake so she doesn’t feel too dejected about getting stood up.
but also taffy feeling guilty over everything, thinking she didn’t do enough to prevent those things from happening. her being kind to everyone else but herself. ends up doing what lisa used to do and sits by lisa’s grave to talk to her. saying how she finally gets why lisa used to do the same back then. pls imagine taffy telling her gravestone “sometimes i feel like you’re watching over me” scene cuts to lisa literally watching her from the shadows with an axe.
but also the idea of taffy having a goth bff is so important to me. cause sunshine and sunshine protector. they have a sun and moon necklace that she now wears with the rosary lisa gave her. taffy watches horror movies with them even though she gets easily scared because they love horror movies. in return they watch every sappy romcom with her. taffy healing. lisa ready to chop anyone who dares to hurt her precious sister. idk what im talking about…i absolutely loved the movie and their sister bond.

also i really appreciate the fandom has kind of absorbed the idea that pre-reanimation, the creature can hear and maybe feel but not see, like he’s in some sort of limbo

Lisa Frankenstein was definitely a 10/10 for me. It was so fun and campy and I loved how it didn’t take itself too seriously.
Literally the only gripe (spoilers) I had with it was the scene in the cemetery after he cut off the other dudes dick. I was 100% ready to see Lisa sew it on to him right then and there, use jumper cables to “bring it to life” with the car battery, then fuck in the cemetery over where they buried the stepmom. I thought it would be such a fun homage to how Mary Shelley lost her virginity on her mothers grave. Honestly missed potential.
