He’d barely dozed off when someone roughly pushed him and he nearly toppled off the divan. His eyes flew open to see a strange boy standing in the bathroom door. He must be filthy rich since he was clad in a high-end blue and white Sheikah athletic wear tracksuit with a red eye emblazoned in the center. Link would kill for workout clothes like that.

At least Link thought it was a boy. It was difficult to tell since most of their face was obscured. Chin-length sunshine blond hair covered one eye, and they must be a germaphobe since a white cloth surgical mask covered the lower half of their face.

The quizzical red eye he could see was studying him as if they weren’t sure what to make of him. “A sleeping boy dreaming of one day becoming a man.”

Who the hell was this weirdo?

I seriously wish that they put Link’s family in BOTW! I know there’s concept art and I’m like why didn’t you do this Nintendo?! Imagine Aryll being Link’s younger sister in BOTW and he introduces Zelda to Aryll! And imagine if he remembered memories with Aryll as he ventured across Hyrule?! AHHHHHH!! Gimme older brother Link again pls!!! (it would be heartbreaking when you realize that Aryll would’ve died within Link’s 100 year nap… but like… I still want it)

thinking about this and man I'd really want names for the Links and also possibly a new name for Sheik? it feels weird for him to be raised in a whole tribe of Sheikah and call himself Sheik, as opposed to OoT where he was raised by the last Sheikah member.

sketches for an AU I'm revisiting from my childhood :D The premise is that Zelda, Sheik, and Tetra are triplets, and bc of reasons I've not entirely figured out, the younger two (Sheik and Tetra) were sent to be raised in other cultures. The OG AU was based on Ocarina of Time, but I'm revamping it to be more based in Breath of the Wild's Hyrule (modernized, the AU has always been primarily a modern AU). This time around, I'm also wanting to have more than just one Link (who would have been OoT's Link in my original version of the AU). Not sure exactly how I'll execute it, but we'll see!

LU Star Wars AU: Part 5

LAST BUT NOT LEAST ITS TIME AND SKY LETS GO

Time

Time is a direct survivor of Order 66. He was a child living in one of the more remote temples when everything happened, and was able to escape alive by fleeing into the dense forests of the planet.

Time spent many years after that traveling on his own and not getting close to anyone out of fear of being found out, or worse, left behind. He holds a certain bitterness towards everything that's happened, and when he was a teenager, he was involved in a major incident on the planet Termina. Time finally decided to bury his saber on a remote planet after that, unwilling to take on the responsibility that comes with it.

Time actually ended up meeting Sheik and donning Mandalorian armor some time after that in his teenage years. He doesnt always gel with Mandalorian warrior ideaology, but he doesn’t truly fit the Jedi way of his childhood anymore either, after all the war and death he’s seen. He's determined to be strong enough to protect those he cares about, like Malon.

Time doesn't entirely get along with the Chain at first. (Especially Warriors and Twilight; Warriors reminds him of his old Jedi master, who wore a red scarf, and Twilight's saber looks suspiciously familiar.) The boys eventually grew on him anyway, and he counts them among the people he cares about.

Sky

Sky comes from a gaseous planet in the Outer Rim with settlements that float in the clouds, constructed far above its surface.

Sky's planet is a bit of a cosmic mystery, since it should be impossible for islands of solid rock to float; some theorize that it was constructed instead of naturally occurring, or that there is a unique combination of magnetic fields and orbits that make it possible, but no one knows for certain. Loftwings are part of the planet's ecosystem of impossible floating islands, and are an important part of the culture there.

Being so remote, the Empire didn't show much interest in Sky's home planet until Ghirahim showed up. The Empire hasn’t taken over his home yet, and he is determined to keep it that way, along with the rest of the Knights of Skyloft (including Sun). Ghirahim's interest in the planet involved rumors that there was an old Jedi temple hidden on its surface, and the secrets that were hidden within it.

Those rumors turned out to be true; there was an ancient abandoned temple on one of the floating islands, and Sky and Sun ended up discovering it before Ghirahim did. Sky also found a protocol droid named F1, and with Fi's help he and Sun managed to forge their own sabers with the only remaining kyber crystals there.

Sky's connection to the Force manifests mostly as visions, and he occasionally experiences strange, cryptic dreams as a result.

Ancient Loz AU Story

10,000 years before the events of BOTW the Princess of Hyrule and the Hero who wields the sword that seals the Darkness first fought off the Calamity. With the help of the Sheikah, Guardians, Champions and the Divine Beasts. However, the hero and her best friend; the Prince of the Gerudo, were now missing. The only one to return from the fight was the Princess… Bloodied and bruised. She emerged from the castle alone. No longer the energetic, and free spirited person she used to be. Now, she is filled with a sole dedication to her Kingdom. But cold, and filled with deep sorrow. She orders the Sheikah to create shrines to train the next hero.They prepare the towers, store the Guardians under the castle till they are needed. Research started on the slate where it can be used for building infrastructure and even battle. Anything to help prepare for another Calamity.

The Gerudo Prince wasn't seen again and the heroes identity was forgotten But, the Royal blood of Hylia lives on….

Link is from a traveling caravan. His family has blood from the ancient Zonai tribe. He travels with a decent size troupe along with his sister, father and grandmother.

He meets Zelda during a festival where he was entering an archery contest in castletown. Zelda, who was disguised as Sheik, was also entering. She beat him at the contest(barely), but was extremely bothered by how good he was.

The festival goes on for about 3 days and at the end there is the sword ceremony where all the people coming of age(18) can attempt to pull the sword. She was presiding over it and witnessed him pull the sword and his whole life change. Not long after they meet officially and Link is appointed as her Knight; She introduces him to Ganondorf, her best friend from childhood.

And the chaos and comrade-ere ensues~

Over 3 years they travel, train, fall in love and wait for the day when the evil is supposed to show itself. With no sign of the great evil, they start to relax a bit. But that is when it strikes. Ganon travelling by himself at this time. Explores a cave in the Gerudo desert and encounters something ominous. Whispers in the dark speak to him and his fears and wants and his distaste for the King of Hyrule…. The voice is familiar, much too familiar, and before he can fight back it consumes him. When he awakes he is alone. He isn't instantly ‘evil’ but over time it twists his thoughts and actions. His closest friends and mother grow concerned. He becomes harsher and radical. Cruel. During a secret meeting with the King, Ganon assassinates him. Zelda happens upon Ganon covered in blood. She thinks he's hurt and is concerned by his behavior the past year. He snaps. He tells her every dark thing he has been thinking, and that he killed her father. In shock, and devastated, she can’t move as Ganon is about to strike her. But Link manages to get to her in time because the master sword was glowing, something he has never seen before but an instinct so old took over him. He races to escape with her. Ganon takes over the castle. But only as a steward because the King and the Princess are nowhere to be found. No one is the wiser to his malevolent plots. Yet. He knows she has to act fast since Zelda and Link escaped.

Zelda and Link make it all the way to Kakariko Village and Impa and they are all Informed that the Calamity is upon them. No one can believe it is their Ganondorf who is doing this but it is undeniable. They grieve, but they must act fast. With the help of the Sheikah they gather the guardians, monks and send word to the Races and Champions to prepare for battle. Zelda listens as Link hums an old Zonai Lullaby his mother used to sing to him. And it makes her remember something she read about. A story about there being an ancient Zonai device below the castle that would help defeat the Demon King.

Impa knows the tunnels She can help them sneak in. So they prepare to infiltrate the castle.

Under the castle they find the Zonai Artifacts that were left behind for sealing the great evil.

Ganon's followers saw them enter however and informed him. Knowing this is his chance he stops all pretenses and releases his power. Unleashing a mob of monsters and a cloud of malace into the castle and across Hyrule. But the Champions and Shekah are prepared to meet them.

Looking around for any clue. Trying to think of anything they read or that Link heard from his family that could be used to turn on the sealing jewelry. They don’t know how to activate it, but Ganon is going to be upon them soon as they had to fight through hordes of monsters beforehand.

Out of the dark behind them he emerges.

Zelda and Link manage to avoid the surprise attack. They both go on the defensive. They fight and try to reason with him. They can’t believe this is their friend, their lover. The fight is tough, because they all know each other's moves after training together for years along with the emotional turmoil. Zelda tells Link he needs to figure out how to activate the artifact if they are to succeed. She will hold him off. But by this point they are both exhausted.

Ganon manages to cut Link, spraying blood over the floor and the statue. Link falls to the floor and Ganon towers over him ready to strike him down, but Zelda blasts him away. Ganon turns his attention to her. Annoyed with her meddling and manages to land a blow on her also. Cutting the tip of her right ear off.

The statue lights up from the blood. The blood of a zonai. That  was another part of the Lullaby from Links family Zelda realizes. The Jewelry glows and expands before flying off the wrists of the statue to Link. He is surrounded by a green glowing light that blasts Ganon and Zelda back. The bands constrict around his arms and legs disintegrating the clothing underneath. He screams. Zelda watches on in horror as Link transforms before her. His skin is turning black and his bones and skin stretch until he is 6 ft tall. What did she get him into? This was supposed to help them what was happening… She is living in a nightmare. What else will she have to give up. She cries as she looks at him, feeling his pain and fear. His hair band she had given him falls from his hair. Rolling across the floor towards her. “..Zelda….” He says 

She picks up the hair band and goes to him! But he is not really responding. He is restrained and struggling within himself. His head is filled with the spirits of the Zonai he knows what he must do…he knows this is the last time he will see Zelda and Ganon. To seal the Demon King he must sacrifice himself. He says the last part of the Lullaby to Zelda and she knows. This is it. She kisses him. Though a bit strange now that he's so tall and his lips are cold. Ganon is getting up across the cavern from them, laughing. He mocks them and their weak attempts at thwarting him. One last clash. Zelda manages to get his weapon from him and Link plunges his arm into Ganons chest activating the sealing power. Glowing green. They both freeze in place and all is quiet. Entombed under the castle. The malice and monsters disappear. Zelda cautiously goes up to them. She doesn't touch them lest she break the spell somehow. The only thing she does is grab the hair bangle that fell to the floor in the final fight. It was the one from Ganon’s hair. And she left for the surface.

Alone.

im definitely in a yapping mood today!!

- Tune/Wind and Mask/Time have created so many little paradoxes as jokes and Warriors is completely oblivious to it. It’s just little inside jokes they have with each other that the other person doesn’t find funny until the second time they meet. One of them is always confused and the other one is always in on a hilarious little secret

- Time has hypermobile joints because of how often he transformed his body with the masks when he was younger, and it’s not uncommon for something to get popped out of place for him, and this has been effecting him since just before the War of Eras

- Wind is allergic to peanuts

- Warriors one time burnt a meal so fucking badly that the chain refused to let him forget about it and when Tune ran into him in the war he was physically incapable of not mentioning it (in a way that wouldn’t reveal he’d already met the captain)

- Time has a slight stutter that used to be significantly worse when he was much younger, and that’s part of why he signed so much as a kid. Warriors on the other hand didn’t want to be perceived as anything other than a Castle Town native and until he got the accent down perfectly, had Proxi speak for him. He didn’t need all of hyrule to know he was just some guy from some random ass village, they hated him enough already

- It was very hard for Tune to adjust to the younger version of Wars after seeing how much genuinely happier he’ll become. Like it actually broke his heart to see him that depressed, he didn’t know what to do with himself

- Wars’s Zelda literally lets Mask get away with whatever the fuck because they got super super close when she had to hide herself as Sheik since Mask knew it was her, and this has translated to Time being able to pull “not to worry, i have a permit” type shit with zero consequences

A Work In Progress For My Hyrule Warriors x Linked Universe Fanfic (Character List) :)

Lemme know what you think, and put your thoughts below! Basically, all the heroes were dropped off in the middle of Warriors' era for their first meeting. Who will they trust? And how much blood will be spilled?

“Heroes”

Warriors- The general of the Hyrule troops. He is also the first to meet with all the new Links brought by Hylia.

Mask(Time)- The first Link that appeared in the war. He stays in his child form except in dire situations.

Tune(Wind)- The second Link to appear, joining with Tetra. The two of them will take a bit to adjust to solid ground and not endless waves.

Spirit (Toon Link)- Appeared soon after Tune with Phantom. All four know they’re relatives, but keep it on the down low. For now, both Tune and Spirit are around the same age.

Sky- Fi personally introduced Sky to the rest of the heroes, having vanished in the middle of the night once she sensed his presence. Sky suffers from breathing problems and is mostly kept on the backlines as a last resort.

Artemis/Sheik- The ruler over Hyrule, and is regarded as the main general (with Warriors as her backup). She only dresses as Sheik for recon missions, or if she wants to get away from everyone.

Tetra- She uses her guns for range, providing covering fire for the troops. She is also a powerful sword wielder. She also is the best at controlling ships and loves water-based missions.

Phantom (Toon Zelda)- One of the many powerhouses in the troops due to her possessive abilities. Although many people can see her, hitting her is a different story. She has gotten very good at dodging while she’s separated from her body.

Linkle- Due to her clumsiness and lack of directions, Linkle is barely on the battlefield except if the fight is close to the main base. She is used mostly to gather supplies and teach less experienced troops how to fire crossbows.

Impa- She trains all new troops and is a close friend of Artemis. She is also a massive powerhouse.

Lana- A powerful sorcerer and healer. Due to her and Cia’s unique circumstances, she is mostly used as a healer and support, helping those who suffer wounds during battles.

Four- Cia was able to manipulate Four to her side by promising to revive Shadow. They only joined after seeing Vaati’s revival with their own eyes. Nobody knows about the Colors (besides Vaati, but the sorcerer is keeping it a secret).

Wild- With his shattered memories, Cia was easily able to convince Wild that the heroes were the bad guys in the situation, saying that they were the reason why he was brought here and away from his era. Wild is a soldier at heart and dutifully follows the orders of the person who helped him first, Cia.  

Hyrule- Hyrule, in a new era filled with bloodshed and violence, was reduced to his paranoid and aggressive behavior from his past. He lashes out like a wild animal, yet will retreat as soon as a drop of his blood is spilled. Only Cia and Ganondorf know about the magical abilities of his blood and will collect it to heal/revive those who fall in battle. The only reason why he stays with the villains is due to Cia’s kindness towards him. Is it manipulation? Or does she have a soft spot for the hero?

Legend- Legend is not trustful of anyone besides Hyrule, who he knows is his predecessor. He stays with the villains just to keep an eye on the other. He doesn’t trust the other villains, but he also doesn’t trust the heroes. They’re all suspicious in his eyes.

<3 <3 <3 Sorry this wasn’t ASAP, had a busy day!

So this is still really in the “getting ideas” stage of things, but the biggest inspiration for it is actually from the Oot manga. There’s a scene where Link is talking to Sheik and admits he is nervous about meeting Zelda again, because for him he JUST saw her, but for her all this time has passed and she got to live those years so he’s worried about what it’s going to be like when he finds her. And it made me think about whether him saying that is what ultimately led to her sending him back—maybe she thought he was upset he missed those years? And maybe it made her think…she wished that she <I>hadn’t</I>. And if she had the chance to go back and live those seven years in a time of peace instead of having to go into hiding and watch her kingdom be destroyed she absolutely would, so by sending him back she’s giving him this gift she desperately wants but can never have—she can at least make sure that he does.

But then…loneliness, regret, everything else starts to set in. This is where I’m not sure if I want this to be a one-shot that mostly just explores her choice and dealing with the aftermath and wondering if there is any way she can see Link again, or if I want to actually get more involved in what her life might look like, but I figure once I start writing I’ll figure that part out.
