Need-to-Knows (a.k.a How I'm meddling with canon):

This fic will involve Rafal being resurrected, and lead up to an alternate continuity of plot events, all set during One True King. Thus, its title will be: The One True School Master of Vault 41. However, the title may or may not be a bit of a misnomer, so I might just end up subverting your expectations after all.

There will be a form of "psyche travel," or an approximation of time travel, using Dovey's crystal ball like in ACOT, the arson of a certain Wizard Tree to look forward to, and some offbeat, unprecedented action taken by the Storian. Of course, Agatha and Rafal will bicker a lot while Sophie plays the role of mediator. And, oh, Rafal will be tortured, slightly…

Additionally, there's a couple things to note about the premise and the changes I've made to canon, for context:

1. The fic will disregard Fall as canon, yet will acknowledge Rise.

2. There are several canon elements I'm not using. The Rafal is the fic is him from Rise, and also from TLEA. I decided to only acknowledge Rise but not Fall because I didn't want to work with the identity-swap twist. So Rafal is Rafal is Rafal in this case. I will draw from both his Rise characterization and his TLEA characterization.

3. Later in the fic, Rise Rhian only has minor appearances, and is present in Rafal's psyche, but he will not actually be a character until I write a possible sequel, if I ever do reach that point. So, you can assume Rhian was moderately Good to grey on the morality scale, and that Rafal was the one who ultimately committed the fratricide for the purposes of this fic.

4. I've decided not to acknowledge the OTK parentage twist. To clarify, Rafal will have no relation to Japeth, simply because it felt out of character for him to have children with a woman he seemed to loathe, even if it may have been less out of character for the canon Rhian falsely disguised as "Rafal." I personally thought it contradicted Rafal's characterization, so Japeth's placeholder father, who probably won't even be mentioned in the story, will be the Green Knight, to explain his magical prowess as the Snake.

Otherwise, for the most part, this fic is alternate continuity "canon," and diverges at some point during OTK.

I've tried to set the stage, eradicate confusion, and mediate potential disappointment as best as I could above, but if anyone would like me to demystify anything about the fic, my writing process, or ask anything else at all, feel free to send questions to me! Yet, I might not be able to answer everything, for various reasons, including limiting excessive spoilers, so please keep that in mind.

You were frozen in fear, your body unresponsive. Run, you thought, run and never look back. But you couldn't.

You tried to step backwards, but stumbled and fell onto the leafy forest floor with a crunch.

The creature looked up from the lamb, standing to its full height. It was tall and thin, its blonde hair dirty and matted. Blood, whether its prey's or its own, stained its clothes; a set of light blue scrubs, like those of a nurse.

It stumbled forward, its torn cloak trailing behind it. The creature walked off-balance, as if it wasn't supposed to walk upright, but instead on all fours like a wolf.

As this monster approached you, you tried to push yourself up, but found yourself too weak to move. This is the end, you thought, You are going to die. The creature knelt next to you, close enough to hear its ragged breaths. It tilted its head.

Hello! Welcome to the blog. This is an updated intro. I've been here for a minute, just wanted to tidy things up.

I am Wallace, but I also like Wally and Lace just as much (and I generally refer to myself as Lace), so feel free to pick your preference! They/Them or He/Him pronouns, in that order.

This is my writing sideblog. My main blog is over at @lacependragon! I will follow, like, comment on posts, and send asks from there, but I post my writing here and I reblog writing stuff to this blog.

I'm a queer, autistic author with chronic illness/pain and a whole lot of wips. I'm Canadian. I've been writing over half my life (and when you're a couple years shy of 30, that's not bad!) and I was reasonably popular as a fanfic author (RWBY fics mostly), something I've largely stopped doing as of September, 2021.

I'm very passionate. Which is to say I have a Lot(TM) of opinions. And I refuse to take personality tests even if I love them for characters.

Also I really love writing programs. I don't think you need them to be a good author, whatsoever, but god I love them so much.

My Writing

I write basically two things: big ass, character driven, SFF series with tightly woven plots & relationships, plus ridiculous amounts of lore and worldbuilding; and romance novels. That's it. I'm pretty sure I'm better at the latter, which I think is cool.

Also: I have a lots of wips. I cycle between them regularly but I always come back around to the others eventually.

I can sum up my writing as such:

Mostly SFF with a focus on fantasy and scifantasy

Character focused and driven

Often relationship driven - family, friendship, romance, etc.

Almost all of my protagonists are they/them NBs or some other flavour of trans

Mainly queer, disabled, neurodivergent characters

Queer and trans focused romances, also polycules

Found family, slow burn romance, platonic bonds, redemption arcs, overcoming adversity & trauma

Gray morality and tough decisions

Intricate world-building, in-depth magic systems, lots of fantasy creatures, and details on how these things interact with everyday and overarching life

Puns. A lot of puns.

A lot of silly combo words I use as a shortcut to avoid conlanging unnecessarily (though I do LOVE a good conlang)

Listen there's a lot of apocalypses in my WIPs. And overcoming them. It's a theme. It's because of the state of the world. Roll with it.

Sixty years later, the best people to tackle the dead and ghastly are the young, and Kai Yeung, part time college student and full-time big sibling, is trying to make it big in the ghost hunting live streaming business. Money is tight, and this is their best option. Until a guy named Archie shows up and reveals that he’s been possessed by an ancient magical artifact and the very grumpy warrior trapped inside it. If Kai can get the artifact off, they can sell it and provide for their sister for years to come, but that’s only if they can get it off Archie before those chasing him can catch up.

This one is a comedy batjokes fic from the POV of a new Arkham orderly, Omar, who just moved to the city. Omar is on duty one night when Batman shows up to interrogate Joker, and he's very concerned about following procedures to make sure nothing goes awry, while more seasoned staff are too lackadaisical. Omar's shift partner leaves him alone while Batman's shut up with Joker, and Omar starts to hear… suspicious noises.

From there, this scenario just repeats, with more blatantly sexual noises prompting Omar to pound on the door. Yet each time he gets a look in the room, he can't see anything besides signs of violence and starts to wonder if he's losing it.

So just a sillier idea to balance out all the others. Not sure how it ends, but probably with Omar still unable to prove anything.

"Bruce Octopus"

I haven't gotten far enough with this one to provide any good excerpts, but it's a horror story. There was a screenshot going around about a certain male octopus that is so averse to physical intimacy that rather than touch another octopus, he rips off his penis-leg and gives it to the potential partner instead. And that sent my brain a-spinning about Bruce and not just his repression, but his playboy image.

Basically Bruce spends years ignoring that Joker is who he really wants. He also spends years having hollow sex with dates as Bruce Wayne. The latter doesn't bother him so much at first— many times he finds ways around it— but the emotional emptiness that comes with it slowly eats at him anyway. Eventually he always finds ways to leave his dates high and dry, all while still repressing what he really wants. But that's what Bruce does, right? He can deal with it.

Until he gets dosed with a new fear toxin that Crane's laced with Ivy pheromones, so it's just a sex pollen that links Bruce's horniness to his fears. Bruce finds himself trying to find Joker in a daze, but is simultaneously still terrified of both making his desire real and feeling this loneliness forever. And by the time Bruce reaches Joker, he's made an irrational and horrifying decision about how to resolve this problem!

and sure thing! i remember i answered this question once or twice in the past but i cant find it again in my archive ahjfkjhsfkjahs so i'll just go thru it all again (and for good reason cuz i think i my answer last time made it look like things were organized. it's not. it's Not Organized)

anyhoo, short overview answer is: craft big idea -> rough outline (summaries/short bullet points) -> detailed outline (connecting all the dots)

long detailed answer follows under the cut (wow, me using a readmore HAHAJKHSVKFJ well, my writing process is boring i dont wanna stretch dashes with this, i'll save being a nuisance for my silly little headcanons)

step 1: craft big idea

the first thing i actually do on outline doc is make the summary that i forsee it'll have on ao3. this is cuz my summary format on ao3 is [excerpt of scene] + [a few lines explaining the fic overall], and thinking of what to put here first helps me get a good grasp on what i want the fic to be in the Big Picture sense: what the mood/tone will be, whos POV it's in, what the inciting event that kicks it all off is, etc etc

the big idea, along with all the other steps in my process, are subject to change as the process goes on. for example, for the shovel talk fic, heres the first ao3 summary i made for it (version from april 3, thank u google docs version history HAHA)

this was back when i envisioned the fic as a long-ish oneshot that was mostly comedy. but as i continued thru the other steps of outlining (and realized that the comedy is more of the hook and seasoning and the real core is gonna be the feels later on that i didnt wanna spoil upfront in the summary), the ao3 summary changed to whats on the fic now

still, no matter how the ao3 summary changes, it's a great starting point for my brain to get into the rest of the fic cuz ive already got a bunch of the core stuffs for the story

step 2: rough outline

this step is me getting into the overview of each part/chapter of the fic, the big idea but for specific chunk of story. these come either in the form of short bullet points or short short summaries of the events, and thats rlly all that is in here: events. all the details is for step 3

heres the rough outline portion for chapter 5 of standard operating procedure (x4 speedrun)

absolute barebones, but each chapter has got something along these lines going on for them (i just shared this one cuz it's the least messy to look at AJHVKJZHFVAKJHS) which keeps me on track irt what needs to be Happening.

step 3: detailed outline. the longest and most stupidly meticulous part of my process

this step is what it says on the tin. with the smaller bigger picture of the chapter (huh, actually, im realizing that my process basically hinges on taking in the big picture and then slowly zooming in bit by bit) i then start putting down the exact things i wanna write: everything from dialog to descriptions to etc etc. and all of it is absolute wordbarf and the fact it is wordbard is Important

heres an excerpt from the detailed outline portion of chapter 2 of the fic

i put in A BUNCH. and this is important to me cuz it's at this stage i can start filling in the blanks, irt the events i put down in step 2

like in this chapter, i had 2 events to link: vyn making dumb sex innuendos -> vyn making his grand and genuine love declaration about marius. how to get from point A to point B is something i cant leave for the actual writing portion because my tendency is to blank for days, trying to find the perfect way to word it or execute it.

but in this outlining portion ive got the freedom to try out a bunch of methods in a wordbarf format that gets my thoughts in order. it doesnt have to be good or make sense just yet, as long as it connects the two events, i can refine it during actual writing

and more often than not, changes Do happen in the actual writing portion, since once that bit is going on ive got a clearer idea on how the scene is flowing and all that jazz. still, those changes are hinged upon the fact that ive got a skeleton prior, or else i'd have a really hard time trying to figure out whats not working because i hadnt put a Thing thats Not doing the job yet. i guess my penchant for doing this step that i know many people see as insane is that it's easier for me to work on something imperfect that already exists than to make something do what it needs to do on the first try

heres another portion i still consider as part of step 3: me trying to figure out how marius and giann have their argument in chapter 5

and then i basically transplanted these into the chronological outline portion so i could see how it works in the actual scene

so my full outline for this fic is a grand total of 6.7k words cuz i do the detailed outline for every single scene HAHA

TIPS... tips... let's see! i have em

first off, let me preface this by saying: a LOT of fandom popularity is circumstantial. my personal Fandom Trajectory has a lot to do with timing and the people i knew, and/or who knew me! plus, i happened to be one of the first wave of english language writers for BOTH jjba AND mdzs, so i already had fics posted when respective fandoms ballooned. this isn't something you can rly engineer, it's just smth to keep in mind as like. a structural aspect? i think it's probably harder to break big in mdzs fic as a new writer now than it was in 2018 - which def isn't to say it can't be done, just that it says nothing abt the quality of your fic if it DOESN'T explode.

ANYWAY on to practical Tips

first of all: yay mdzs twt!! idk if you've seen this yet, but there's a pretty common thing on mxtx Content Creator Twitter where every wednesday, people post short excerpts of their WIP fic!! just enough to be mysterious and drum up interest 🤨 that's a rly good way to start interacting w writers!! there's a hashtag #mdzsww but i just say "wip wednesday" somewhere in my tweet. i'm way more active on mdzs twitter than i am here tbh so i'm not certain whether wip wednesday had migrated over to tumblr, but tbh worth doing even if it hasn't!

in general just making yourself a friendly & interesting person to interact with is a good way to make friends!! esp when u've just made a new acct, it's kind of like. if you don't say hi first, who will, u know? but also a weirdly efficient way to get ppl to follow you is to just throw funny character thoughts out into the universe. to this day ive gotten more followers from this tweet than from any non-new-fic-tweet ive ever made

when you post your fic, tag accurately and write the summary with confidence!! my tagging strategy is generally to go from "genre" (fluff? angst?) to "premise" (canon divergence? 5+1?) to "themes" (intimacy?) to "specifics" (sharing a bed? family tension?). my summary strategy is to pick 1-3 lines from the fic - often dialogue, but not always - that capture the general tone, and then a SINGLE line describing the general premise ("they go on a road trip"). that's all! no apologizing!!!!

once your fic is posted on ao3, talk about it!! i make promo tweets with 2 screenshots of the ao3 page: 1 that shows the title and description, and 1 that shows the tags and warnings. then a link, and the text of my tweet has the words "new [ship] fic" in it somewhere - for a while i used hashtags, but then i realized... when i'm trying to find something on twitter, i never check hashtags! i just use the search function, which picks up on any text in the tweet.

i don't make promo posts on tumblr anymore bc i have way fewer followers here and i cant be assed LOL but when i did, i basically just replicated all the warnings/tags/description in the text of the post, so people would know what they were clicking on! and then just tag all the necessary fandom/ship tags

OK I THINK THAT IS... ALL FOR NOW... i hope this is helpful!!! imo like 2/3 of fic popularity is "writing what people want to read" (whether your strength is scenario, characterization, beautiful prose, weird horny, etc), and the other Full Third is just. circumstances. luck. word of mouth. sometimes you post something and it gets attention right away! sometimes you post it and then an ao3 collection gets posted ALL AT ONCE and 25 new fics immediately bump yours off the front page. IT'S A WEIRD WORLD OUT THERE!!

What is the KiriKami Mini Bang?

The KiriKami Mini Bang is a fan event dedicated to sweet rarepair of Kirishima Eijirou and Kaminari Denki from My Hero Academia! Writers who join will create a never-been-published fanfiction that is at least 3k words in length. Each writer will be paired with an artist, who will create at least one (1) full piece for their fic.

How does the pairing process work?

At the first check in, each writer will provide a title, summary, list of tags and content warnings, and a short excerpt of their fic. This information is kept secret, to make sure the claims process is totally anonymous. The mods will take this information provided by the writers and put it in an anonymous document for all the artists to read through. Artists will pick five (5) stories they would like to work on, based on the information provided by the writers. From there, the mods will do their best to match every writer with an artist. From there, they will work as a team to create content together!

How is a Bang different from a Zine?

Zines are an anthology of fanworks compiled into one PDF or bound into a physical book, that are then sold for profit or charity, and distributed to consumers. They are exclusive in nature, because printing costs require they only take a small number of contributors to fill a small number of pages with a limited number of pieces. Bangs, on the other hand, are free fandom events that anyone and everyone can participate in! We encourage everyone who believes they can create a fanwork that meets the requirements in the scheduled time-frame to join and participate. Bangs are all about community, and content creation. The heart and soul of a Bang is the love content creators have for their chosen ship, or trope, or fandom. You strive to meet a minimum word count, or a minimum art piece count, and can go above and beyond if you want to! You and your event partners get to decide what and how much you make, with no rejection emails in sight!

What is a Mini Bang? How is it different from a normal Big Bang?

Mini Bangs have a lower minimum word count than a Big Bang! Artists are also required to create a lower number of art pieces. So, while a Big Bang might require somewhere between 15k or 40k minimum words and 2-3 fully rendered art pieces, we only require a minimum of 3k and 1 fully rendered art piece. However, much like a Big Bang, there is no maximum word count or limit on the number of illustrations. We encourage our participants to have fun and get as creative as possible during the creation period! Mini Bangs are an excellent low-stress event for content creators, because the only requirements are to hit the minimum word/art count and finish a piece before the posting period begins. They're also a lot of fun!

How do beta readers fit into this?

If we have enough beta readers sign up, we will set up a separate claims document with all of the anonymous info from writers who indicated they would like to work with a beta. Betas will claim fics the same way the artists do, and will work with their writers to polish the fanfics up and make them shine before posting!

Does this Bang have a theme?

Nope! All content should focus on KiriKami, but other than that, content creators are free to create for any AU, trope, or plotline they want! We want you to be able to have fun and create something you and your partner can enjoy!

Does that mean there will be NSFW content?

Yes! However, it will be separated out from the SFW content during claims. We request that all participants provide their age (18+/-18) upon sign up. Anyone over the age of 18 will be free to create NSFW content. NSFW pitches from adult writers will be placed on an 18+ claims list with all relevant tags and warnings, and will only be available to 18+ artists and betas. Anyone who is caught lying about their age to access the NSFW claims list will be let go from the event.

How do I participate?

Once sign-ups open, fill out the appropriate Writer/Artist/Beta sign-up form, and you’re in! There is no application process, no acceptance or rejection, no limit on skill or ability. If you are passionate about KiriKami and join during the sign-up window, you are in! Once you’re in, Discord will be our primary method of contact with participants, but we will send out emails for all major deadlines. Please ensure your provided email is accurate and up to date!

Do I need Discord to participate?

While it is not absolutely mandatory, we strongly suggest you join the KiriKami Bang discord to keep on top of the deadlines and keep in touch with the mods. We will send out emails to all participants regarding all important information and deadlines, however there is always the risk that an email will be caught in a spam filter. Discord is also the fastest and easiest way to get in contact with your event partners. Your partner information will be provided via email, but it is the participant's responsibility to reach out to their teammates and begin collaborating.

Can I apply for more than one role?

As long as you are capable of handling the workload and agree to respect the anonymity of the claims process, we will be allowing participants to take a maximum of two (2) roles. For example, you could participate as a Writer and a Beta, or a Writer and an Artist, but not all three.

Why is it so important that claims are anonymous and the fanfiction is unpublished?

One of the most important (and most fun!) parts of a Bang event is the fact participants are paired based on the fic premise alone. Keeping the fic ideas a secret ensures everyone gets a fair chance at getting picked, without follower count or hits or kudos or likes factoring into the equation. Once claims have ended, some teams can choose to share small hints about their WIPs, but we discourage the sharing of snippets, screenshots, and excerpts on social media. When content creation teams choose to keep the fic and art a secret during the entire event, it also means that the people following along with the event get a wonderful surprise flood of art and fanfic during the posting period!

What’s a pinch hitter?

Should a creator drop from the project during the creation period, we will call in a pinch hitter to fill that content creator’s spot. This might mean an artist or beta will take on another fic, or it might mean a writer steps up to create a second piece with an unpartnered artist.

“What’s that?” The hunt had been so long. The grief so great. But Silvhen’s eyes were sharp as they were haunted, and they had not found him yet.

The Warden bent down and retrieved the muddy scrap half-hidden on the ground. It was thicker than paper, but not as stiff. Canvas?

“There’s something on it... writing... and a face?” He handed the limp scrap to Silvhen to examine, and saw her face whiten just in time to catch her as she crumpled.

“Chargers!” Blackwall’s roar brought Dalish and Grimm running. “Harts and horses, at once!” They bounded away, not wasting even a beat. He pulled Silvhen up and spoke low near her ear. “Time to go home, Inquisitor. Enough now,” he said as she protested.

They were quick with their mounts, genuine fear hastening their movements. Had she ever been quite that white? The unspoken question passed between them in their darting glances. The ride back to Skyhold felt interminable for every member of the group except Silvhen. For Silvhen, it felt like falling, like sliding down a cliff face she’d spent a day trying to climb.

Silvhen was back a night and a day before she could face the small scrap they had found on the foreign moor. She recognized it as a kind of oilcloth, the kind that could be painted on. Solas had shown her... dreary, dragging afternoons when Skyhold was pelted with sleet and rain were spent in the yellow-warm light of the rotunda, poring over tomes assigned to her by Dorian and learning the many tools and techniques Solas used in his art. Her hand fisted suddenly as she lurched forward, pain wracking her core.

She could no longer tell if the pain was still her heart breaking, or the poison of the Anchor spreading through her.

Silvhen shoved the pain from her mind and focused on the table in front of her. Steeling herself, she slowly unfolded the stiff cloth. Her eyes widened, filled with tears.

It was her.

It was her, the way she looked at The Winter Palace that first time. Solas was the only one who could have painted her like that.

She blinked hard to clear the tears and realized there was, as Blackwall had said, some writing. It was devastatingly familiar, the letters flattened and a little stretched, as though he had to write quickly to keep up with his thoughts.

Silvhen still found handwriting tricky to read, but every fiber of her being was focused on the task. The words were old-fashioned, the phrasing unfamiliar to her. She channeled the ever-present voices that she had gained from the Vir-Abelasan, whispering back to them the intricate words before her.

Eager voices called in their strange whispers, clamouring to add to her wisdom.

“Mi’nas’sal’in… he suffers… The knife again in my soul…”

“Tel! Di’ana! … Mi’nas’sal’in tu… tu… Still, the knife in my soul again, always, still…”

Silvhen held her head in her hands, her gorge rising, her stomach wracking.

“No, no, no,” she whimpered as the wail began to rise up within her. He wasn’t supposed to suffer like this. “Solas,” she cried out sharply. He was suffering without her, suffering because of her… he was lost, lost, lost… dimly, she caught the sound of running footfalls and she sank to her knees, her heart searing within her, the voices swirling in her head echoed her: lost, lost, he’s lost… he suffers…

The door slammed open and familiar hands reached for her, familiar voices barked orders beside her, but they sounded so far away to her. Her mind was so far away. Not struggling to her feet at Skyhold, but gripping her wild hart with her knees as it thundered over the moors where the picture had been found. In her mind, she thought only of cresting the next rise so she could scour the slopes behind it, and behind them, and behind even them until she found him.

Blackwall and Cullen half-carried Silvhen towards her quarters while Josie snapped out orders to the staff and called for messengers.

In the sudden quiet of the room, Sera went to the table and smoothed out the oilskin which had been crumpled once again. She stared at the uncanny likeness on the cloth, the scrawled Elvhen.

“Oh, frig,” she said.

she has since deleted it, so i do want to give her credit there, although it took a long campaign of shoving it into the spotlight for her to do so. i mean, both fics were still up as of 4/30/19 which was the last time i remember making posts about it. the original links are broken now, but you can see proof of the drake/oc nsfw alphabet in her reblog (the original read more just leads nowhere). and for the oc/oc fic, i have a proof screen here for some of the description:

i want to note that neither of these are old fics, they’re both relatively recent so she can’t pull that card. chris also compiled some screenshots here and i put the scene that really bothered me (from the nsfw alphabet) the most below:

(and if you’re wondering why i have these screenshots, it’s because i sent them to a group to ask if i was justified in feeling hurt by the portrayal of bisexual women in this fic, and i didn’t want them to have to scroll through a whole nsfw alphabet)

the context here is that amber is crystal’s roommate, and drake and crystal are together. i don’t feel like i need to explain word by word what it is about this scene that makes me so uncomfortable, but i remember reading it and genuinely just feeling dirty. especially given the way the relationship between crystal and amber (literally oc/oc btw, she is not the mc) was treated in the other deleted fic. it’s is always played as something sexual and naughty, as opposed to the relationship she has with drake which is romantic in nature and is given depth beyond sex. 

and the fact that after all this, DRAKE is the one who gets praised for “letting” her make out with her best friend??? as if he wasn’t the focus of this entire threesome scenario in the first place??

it’s very male-gaze porn fantasy scenario and this is the only example of a bisexual woman here. but of course, she just has to be dating a 40-something father and “rewarding” him by letting him have a threesome. i mean, just look at this excerpt as well, given the context:

maybe it’s fine taken individually, but when pieced together this is just a bisexual stereotype straight out of male porn: a hypersexualized 22-year-old who loves sex toys and dick and deepthroating (trust me, it’s in there too) and never gets tired of fucking a man (and like why does she need a dildo….. she can’t have sex without a dick right like thats the implication love that ~bisexy~ energy) but only fucks women for “fun” and “hookups.” it’s fetishy and weird and if reading you made it uncomfortable then you are not the only one.

i don’t want to waste too much time on this but it truly made me feel wrong and dirty and gross when i read it and that feeling lingered for a while, especially given the way crystal and amber had already been played as a male fetish in the prior fic (before they kiss, amber literally says “want to make the boys really lose their minds?” so. i mean.)

dww has only ever addressed this stuff through deliberately not publishing anons calling her out on it (i’ll go into that more later) and instead making vague text posts in response, so as not to actively let any of her followers see the criticism upfront. when i tried to bring it up the first time on my blog, she proceeded to block me, accuse me of all these baseless things, and make outraged textposts about me being cruel and bullying her. however, since both stories are now deleted, i guess she finally realized i was right. she just refuses to apologize for it or own up to it publicly, and apparently thinks that ignoring it will make it all go away.

I know people have valid criticisms of s8, and the epilogue/wedding. But you all need to remember that some people still appreciated the wedding regardless. A lot of those people are lgbt+ themselves, the wedding meant a lot to them, and that needs to be respected.

If you hated the epilogue, be mad at the show, not at innocent fans who enjoyed the finale. Shurtis shippers have done nothing to deserve any harassment. You can make your salty fics and comments, I don't care, but leave them out of the Shiro/Curtis tag where shippers can see.

Ships/discourse aside, the language used in this fics is disgusting. How is using the f-slur productive at all? That makes me believe these fics were written by a troll or two to stir people up, and not a fan with legitimate criticisms of the finale, but it's still awful.

Extend the same kindness to others as you would want towards you. If you don't want to see troll/hate fics of your otp, don't put troll/hate fics in other ships' tags.
