Idk much about them beyond fandom saying they’re trans and they’re a Devil’s Minion shipper/Daniel stan, so here we go again with yet another white person that’ll be allowed near Jacob and Delainey while giving zero fucks about them. But Naomi had to lose her podcast right? It’s all so tiring."

I looked into this person myself after getting this ask (my screenshots are below). It's someone who has talked about racial issues before (with DnD and that LotR show, I think??) but....never tweeted about it wrt IWTV, which is insane. Their article for the show that's mentioned in the tweets below also glosses over it in favor of focusing on queerness only. Their novel is about a white witch when it seems like it should prbly be an indigenous story?? I got the feeling this is someone who feels they're doing everything "right" wrt not being racist, but ends up not doing much at all bcuz they're too afraid to step outside a certain comfort zone about it and kinda feels like it's not their fight deep down. Their story about how they got hired too (under the cut) is also the most white privileged thing I've ever read. There's so many ppl in this fandom for the show to pick from if they want to include fandom ppl, yet most ppl picked / named are white ppl who are clueless about the majority of racial themes in the show or fans of color who align with white fandom ideals and won't rock the boat at all about racial things otherwise either. Like u said, we all know what happened with Naomi and the podcast by comparison.

if this were me, I'd never have publicly announced this tbh. I get that it's a job account but idk how u can have a history interacting with the iwtv fandom and think this is gonna go well for u once u upgrade to getting a job. wouldn't fucking be me.

Since Lin Codega said it's too early for the writers to write actual scripts, people are now convinced we won't get a late 2025 release. If the rumor about production starting on 11/30/2024 is true, it means they would have at least two months to write some scenes. Do you think there is still hope for 2025?

Yes… iirc the last writing rooms were only a few months as well. And Sam said s1 started filming with only 3(?) scripts ready.

In any case I wished people would always stop jumping into panic mode.

Ppl know that, but it's still the fact they wanted so much special attention for this, the way they got the job, and now showing how much disdain they feel for the fandom on serious topics. I guess real journalists only care about Daniel Molloy's sex life. It's all such a joke.

I’m new here, do you have any theories on how s1e5 ep will be revisited? what will actually be changed, will the fandom still consider Lestat a domestic ab*ser?

So, first off, I have talked about this a lot of times, and won't rehash it all now, here is a kind of summary post with further links.

In real short:

I think it will be shown that the fight was a fight, not domestic abuse per se, as was hinted at already in the trailers

I think there will be a key moment in the moment we did not get to see because we were on Claudia's POV last time - not only did Lestat plead with Louis to stop fighting, but Claudia also did not see what happened in the coffin room, and in episode 6 there is a shot where you can see Louis' coffin has dents on it which match locked arms.

I think the part outside will be revisited again in s3. I think if that happened as shown then there will be more to it, probably hinted at in this season (and I think we then got a hint in episode 6) and then fully revealed in s3 or s4 because they then would need to extrapolate.

I think the drop will not have happened as shown. The logistics are weird, the injuries do not quite match, and Claudia could not have heard what they said up there. I think that flight/drop will shift to something else, something that happened between Lestat and Armand and was... reused, maybe.

All in all, I think they will add to the fight, because there were already a lot of hints that it was not as "told" in what we were shown.

As per "the fandom" - IDK, and by now I don't particularly care anymore.

We are on a tale, told from certain POVs, for a certain effect. We are not spoon-fed the truth.

And if certain people cannot take that mental step back and think for themselves then I cannot do it for them. I think some will always think of Lestat like that no matter what will happen now, and no matter what cast, crew and writers have been pointing out already. *shrugs*

Fantastic TTRPG February Temporarily On Hold.

One minor piece of good news and a long discussion about some bad news. Can we all just please learn to get along? It should be simple.

I want to address some things that came to light over the past few days. First, TTRPG Industry/Communities have a new news outlet looking out for us thanks in part to Lin Codega. It’s called Rascal. Here’s the link. I’m excited about this because it answers my question of, “What if the Great OGL Debacle of 2023 happened today.” Thankfully, the Universe was listening. Second, I want to address a…
