setting a reminder for myself for when i have the time. explained the implications of lily in re john's humanization arc to my college sibling Scotty and they asked me if John's tears out of Arthur's eyes were bright gold. i will draw this as soon as i have the time, hell or high water. have i drawn anything in the last year and a half? absolutely not. will i make this my personal mission because i'm obsessed with the concept of a physical manifestation of empathy? absolutely.
they also headcanon Cain (is it kayne? i keep seeing it spelled Kayne but personally i like Cain better) as like three foot five. which. simultaneously yes and no

Saturnians Who Love Animals 🦆🦀🐟🐂🐒🐼🐱🦊🦁🙀
In my first post about Saturnians, I had included examples of several Saturnian individuals who were known for abusing animals. It is a very sensitive topic and I did not intend to say that it is the nature of Saturn to abuse animals, only that it's one of the violent, brutal "dark" or "negative" manifestations of the planet. Claire's research had shown that Ketu ruled naks were most prominent among serial killers but that does not mean every Ketuvian is a potential criminal. Every planet and nakshatra has good and bad manifestations. The same qualities can be projected differently by different individuals. Saturn causes delay and obstructions, some pay turn to devotion and discipline in the face of it and others may turn cold, cruel and bitter. How you manifest your chart depends on what is in your heart as a human being.
All that said, I thought I'd include examples of some Saturnians who are complete animal lovers<333
Lisa from Blackpink, UBP Sun & stellium (Venus, Saturn, Ketu)
She has 5 cats (Leo, Luca, Lily, Louis, and Lego) and one dog (Love)
Salma Hayek, UBP Moon
Hayek loves animals and has over 30 pets, including dogs, cats, alpacas, parrots, chickens, fishes, horses, geese, rabbits, hamsters, one owl, and more.
Mariah Carey, UBP Sun at one point had 8 dogs. I am not sure how many she has right now but she def has at least 2 dogs
Jin from BTS, UBP Moon and his iconic dog, Jjangu
Miley Cyrus, Anuradha Sun & Mercury
She currently has eight dogs named Angel, Barbie, Happy, Bean, Emu, Kate Moss, Tani and Daisy, a pig named Puddles, two Horses named Pumpkin & Dumplin and three Cats named Lilo, Kiki and Harlem.
Angelina Jolie, Venus & Rising in Pushya
In my last post I had cited an interview of hers from the 90s where she openly admitted to hurting animals when she was younger but things seem different now that she has kids of her own.
She and her kids have a bunny, snake, and lizard. As of 2020, the family had an English bulldog, two pugs, and a Rottweiler.
Jane Goodall, Anuradha Moon & Rising
she is an iconic primatologist and anthropologist
Chrissy Teigen, Anuradha Moon & Mercury
She has four dogs and a bearded dragon
Selena Gomez, Pushya Sun & Rising
She has 2 dogs, Daisy & Winnie
Kaley Cuoco, Anuradha Sun & Stellium (Mercury & Saturn)
At Cuoco's ranch in Thousand Oaks, northwest of Los Angeles, there are horses, donkeys, chickens, goats, cows and pigs. she also has 4 rescue dogs.

The Flower Moon Talon Abraxas
Flower Moon Meaning
The Flower Moon’s name isn’t much of a mystery given the time of year it graces the sky. Gardens and landscapes are in full bloom with perennials such as primrose, bleeding heart, bloodroot, iris, violet, hellebore, peony, et cetera; flower trees such as pear, crape myrtle, crabapple, magnolia, redbud, dogwood, and others; and spring bulbs including bluebell, hyacinth, lily of the valley, tulip, daffodil, crocus, and more.
As for the May full moon’s other names, this is the time of year when the tribes and farmers plant corn. The frogs are singing their mating songs, and milk-producing livestock such as sheep, goats, and cows now have lush green pastures to fill their bellies and produce more milk.
Flower Moon Spiritual Meaning
The May full moon embodies the spirit of Beltane and all the energy of new life, passion, fire, and rebirth. It brings creativity, inspiration, and a sense of purpose with it.
The Flower Moon in May is a spiritual reminder that our goals should be manifesting. This is the blooming season, but it’s also the planting season. Tap into the energy for growth and fertility. Take some time to think about your intentions and what needs to be done in order to reach your goals come harvest season. This may mean asking yourself some hard questions and reevaluating your priorities and plans.
Don’t feel overwhelmed if you feel like the goals you set at the beginning of the year are still far away. We can’t magically leap to the top of the staircase in a single jump; the journey happens one step at a time. If you feel like you aren’t progressing, take a moment to focus. What do you need to prioritize? What is the next step forward that needs to be taken? What is holding you back (and therefore needs to be released)?
Let the spiritual energy of the Flower Moon inspire you to continue growing, even though it comes with a reminder that we can’t move forward until we let go of what’s inhibiting our ability to fully blossom.
Flower Moon Altar Tips, Colors, & Crystals
The most common altar colors for the Flower Moon are yellow, red, orange, and green. Freshly cut flowers make a perfect altar decoration.
In fact, you can go even further and find many more ways to incorporate flowers on this special night. Arrange them in vases to decorate your home. Integrate them into your tea and cooking. Add them to your bath. Press blossoms that you can later use in your book of shadows, journal, artwork, or even a thoughtful surprise tucked in a card for a loved one.
Crystals that work well with the Flower Moon include:
Moonstone – new beginnings, fertility, intuition, lunar/feminine energy
Selenite – purification, cleansing, protection, a symbol of light, ties to the moon
Labradorite – connect with the psyche, dreams, creative muses, spiritual awakening
Amethyst – spiritual protection, insight, self-reflection, shadow work
Rose Quartz – love, friendship, romance, self-love
Rhodonite – “stone of love,” passion, fertility, grounding energy, healing emotional scars
Flower Agate – new beginnings, self-growth, restores emotional balance
Moss Agate – restoration, healing, rebirth, a connection with earth and plants
Black Tourmaline – strength, stabilization, grounding, alleviating fear (onyx and obsidian are also good alternatives)
Smoky quartz – grounding, emotional calmness, stress relief
Clear quartz – healing, peace, cleansing the mind and aura, divination

For the redesign matches, it was an even split between NH and NL. out of 10 redesign matches, they each won 5.
It's easier for me if all the new polls post in a row with no gaps between, so round 2 will start in a few days to give the hourly tournament a chance to catch up! This should be the only round where I have to do that.

Week 8 - Roll of 36
These photos were taken in Kaukapakapa, Helensville and Dairy Flat. My photos combine nature which manmade structures such as lilies growing through stairs, and moss overcoming a roof which makes me think of how rougher and dirtier it is in the country side, which is a great thing. It doesn't need to look pretty to get the job done and I loved that as my upbringing, it encouraged us to get outside and enjoy ourselves rather than worrying about our appearance. I took photos of the livestock such as sheep, cows and chickens as my family used to own these animals back on our farm and it felt nostalgic to be around them again. These towns are very quiet and do not have a lot actively going on like the city does and so taking photos on the train tracks and standing in the middle of the road was something that I appreciated. These kind of opportunities just aren't available in busy places because we as a photographer would be an interference rather than a benefit. I will post my selection from this week as there are a lot of photos in this contact sheet.

So uh, I believe I was ahead of the game, future vision, caxy magic, you know the deal
Moss already exists, but have you heard about Moss' companions, Lily, Eric and Willow?
Lily
Lily is a timberwolf, born under Gaius, and her blessing is, quite aptly named 'Self Healing'. This simply means that she heals injuries faster than the average person, but not to an extreme degree.
She is shy, somewhat timid and sweet, but she was a performer once upon a time, so she has some stage confidence and good dancing skills.
Eric
Eric is a serval, born under Escor, and his blessing is 'Social Chameleon'. This means that he has the ability to rapidly adopt the social behaviours of any group he may be in, and he does it so fluidly that it seems as though the behaviours were always his. Unlike Willow and Lily, Eric's blessing is active, which means he has to choose to do it.
He is the most timid of Moss' companions, often finding himself blushing and stuttering when confronted with anyone with more confidence than himself. He works as a barista until he's officially adopted into the pack, upon which point he becomes a stay at home husband.
Willow
Willow is a cow, born under Jan, and her blessing is called 'Eye of the Beholder'. This means that she is always attractive to a person, no matter who is looking at her. Those with no physical attraction to her either see her as her true self, or the 'common definition' of beauty.
She is the loudest of Moss' pack, often found running around and doing exciting things. She works in a club, so she can also often be found dancing, whether that's lap dances or on a pole, and is very confident in herself.
Thank you to @caxycreations for helping me flesh these characters out!!
you know what would just be so cool and I never even considered it before?
making ocs for mutuals' worlds
one of the coolest parts of fandom (to me) is people interacting with a piece of media and thinking it's cool enough to put in all the effort of creating a whole new character to put on the board. not even interacting with the plot the og writer originally placed down, sometimes. just being a part of the world the writer created because it's such an interesting place to be, and they want to explore that world, whether it be through a self-insert or a new character or whatever
I just think it would be cool

Some doodles from Malevolent 🥰 Lily the buopoth aka moss cow from Episode 19 and just me being silly and saying "what if John tried to chew on Kayne like a chew toy"
Drew Lily for @ashes-in-a-jar originally!
[ID: First image: A colored picture of Lily the buopoth(moss cow) from episode 19. It's a light pink and tan furry elephant type creature with rock like horns covering its head and back. It has moss covering the back and head. It has an anteater like snout with flowers in its mouth. It has brown eyes and an elephant like tail with long hair on it for swatting flies. It has one foot raised as if starting to walk. There is a shadow underneath with a blueish splashy background. The artist logo is in the lower right corner in the shape of a diamond with a date, "SH 08282022"
Second Image: chibis of John and Kayn. John has black hair that fades to gold, and he has grayish skin with gold eyes. He is wearing gold and black robes. He looks angry. John is biting Kayne on his arm. Kayne has his arm stretched out and looks like he's laughing. He has light grayish skin and a crack over his right eye. He has black hair that fades to white, with three stripes of white in his hair. He is wearing a grey button up with a black jacket. He also has sharp teeth. /END ID]
