Over the past few days, something strange has been happening.

Nothing says summer like melon🍈🍉

Here’s my melon patch that’s 10x10ft. It mostly consists of watermelon but I do have a few cantaloupe growing as well (the lily pad-shaped leaves). The watermelon I have growing are regular watermelon (red), organic sugar baby watermelon (personal-sized/red), orange watermelon, and yellow golden honey watermelon. I only have about 5 regular cantaloupe growing but it’s common to have different color watermelon where I’m located.

Personally I’ve never grown watermelon but my father’s grandfather grew watermelons on a farm and my dad also grew personal sized watermelon years ago when I was really little but I’ve never done them before (along with the cantaloupe, but I’m super excited anyways).

As you can see everything looks amazing. These were directly sown into the ground around late March to late April. We planted the red and orange watermelon in late March but I couldn’t find yellow watermelon seeds until about mid-late April. The bigger plants are the orange and red watermelons and the cantaloupe is catching up but the yellow watermelon will be our last harvest (but that’s ok because I’ve got a long growing season). This patch gets mostly direct sun but does get shaded at about 6pm and I water twice a day due to how densely everything was planted. Because I’ve never done melons (watermelons specifically), I think I got a little overenthusiastic and over planted so to keep everything nice and healthy, I’ve been watering once in the morning and once in the evening.

While there aren’t any flowers yet, I’m expecting them very soon so stay tuned for an update in a few weeks.

🌿 Here are some *perfect plants* for shrimp tanks! 🌿

Let’s start with moss—it's an obvious choice! Moss has a large surface area, which gives shrimp tons of space to graze on biofilm and algae, their favorite snacks! While most moss types work well, Java Moss and Taiwan Moss are especially easy to grow and make excellent additions. 🪴🐟

Floating plants are also *fantastic* for shrimp tanks! They offer natural grazing spots and absorb harmful nitrogen compounds, which helps keep your shrimp safe. Try Duckweed, Amazon Frogbit, Red Root Floaters, Salvinia, or Water Lettuce! They grow quickly and add extra security by keeping water quality high. 🌿💦

Another great choice is Pearlweed, the ultimate “one plant wonder.” It grows into a dense “jungle,” creating a beautiful look and removing toxins from the water. Once Pearlweed takes over, it offers tons of grazing surface for shrimp to munch on algae and biofilm! 🌌🍃

If you’re looking for something unique, Liverwort is a great moss alternative for grazing space. And if you love its look, Susswassertang is very similar! Both plants give shrimp lots of biofilm-covered surfaces to explore and snack on! 🌱✨

Eleocharis is another underrated gem for shrimp tanks! It’s a grassy plant that provides plenty of surface area for algae and biofilm to grow, so shrimp have an endless buffet to graze on. 🌾🐠

And finally, lily plants, with their big leaves that reach the water’s surface, are incredible for shrimp tanks. The larger leaves gather tons of biofilm under intense light, creating a rich food source for shrimp right at the surface! 🪴💚

These plants help create a natural, shrimp-friendly habitat while boosting water quality, so your shrimp can thrive! 🦐💧

They grow exotic plants to plant over the dead bodies they’re paid to bury as a side job. Otherwise it’s a botanist. Their cutie mark is grey’s lily (lilium grayi), hence their name.

she inherited everything!! but in varying amounts. i did up a lil sketch to exemplify!!

sorry its grainy asf 😭 if i were to mark her abilities by their strength, pyro would be at the top for raw power (considering both her parents are adept with it), but her chloro and hydrokinesis arent anything to sniff at either. shes more creative with those ones, using them for diversion, puzzle solving, and locomotion, rather than pure damage in a battle.

POLLEN BOMB BAY BEE!!! a fusion of Chlorokinesis and a bit of Pyrokinesis, it functions much like confusion bomb, creating a cloud with a stun effect that renders (most) enemies prone for varying amounts of time, depending on their resilience, with stronger enemies having a shorter effect time. i would like it to also have out-of-battle application too, like making a small plant grow rapidly to reach a new area!! and also funny dialogue when you use it on characters haha. considering that a "pollen bomb" isnt strictly a psi power theyd give a badge for, id probably just refer to it as "Chlorokinesis" for the badge🌱having it signed off by Lili would be a nice touch

Ostara, or the Spring Equinox, is an enchanted borderland time outside of time where a magickal seam joins dark and light. From this moment on, the Sun God begins his seminal journey across the sky. His light and warmth overtake the darkness of Winter until his power peaks at Summer Solstice in June.

Ostara is a time of new fire. The light and dark are in perfect balance, but the light is growing and the Sun is about to burst forth with new energy. It is a season of fertility and growth.

Eostre or Ostara is the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring to whom offerings of cakes and colored eggs were made at the Vernal Equinox. Rabbits were sacred to her, especially white rabbits, and she was believed to take the form of a rabbit.

ALTAR: For the Ostara altar: -- Candles should be light green. -- Incense may be jasmine. -- Decorate the circle with spring wildflowers. -- Place an earthenware or wooden bowl containing soil or a large seed of some kind on the altar.
