from what i’ve seen and read, using queer is a self-description word for identities under the LGBTQIA community. in a way, it’s been reclaimed from the usage in the past, used to degrade and belittle.

Had a thought; in the Norm&Lila AU, do the kwami remember the wishes that rewrite the world? Not necessarily like when Adrien had the sudden urge to "take Lila out"side, but like when Marinette was ruling through fashion before that was unwished.

I didn’t think about it before but I’m debating it now, actually. It would be hilarious!

if you were to include him in the blanket, what color yarn would you assign raguna?

Hey there!! Thanks for the question, I've actually been asking myself the same thing recently!

Honestly, I've always associated Raguna with brown! Not just because of his hair but also because his entire outfit has brown accents in it.

To avoid his colour being too close to Felicity's, however, I'd probably go with a orange/brown that matches his shirt in the DS cover.

I also like the brown makes me think of the original Rune Factory logo (vs the later titles which all had an accent colour).

From my experience, though, browns have been really tricky to find the right yarn colour, so I might end up settling for my second choice: a dark blue (to match his eyes and blue undershirt).

Fun fact: It may seem odd for me to exclude him from the blanket, but originally I was planning on writing a Raguna PoV Diary as a way to document my playthroughs. I quickly realized that writing about chopping wood for a week would get...really stale. That's when I started hearing about Temperature Blankets and thought "what if I could Rune Factory this?"

I still wanted to keep the project in a Raguna PoV, but I'm still thinking about adding him in the end! I'm thinking of making the blanket's border alternate between him and my OTP choice, but we have a loooong way to go before I start thinking about that! Haha

Officer Hwang Hyunjin stood against the wall of the apartment, his back pressed against the open window. The air was cold, but he hardly noticed. His eyes were fixed on the door he’d been watching for weeks—the one that belonged to you, the ex-mafia enforcer who now lived under his watchful eye.

You had walked away from a life of violence, but your past didn’t let go that easily. It haunted you, lingered in the corners of your mind, and often bled into the present. Hyunjin was the one who kept you grounded, even when your memories threatened to drag you under.

The door creaked open, and you stepped out into the living room, face pale and drawn. You pulled your hoodie tight around your shoulders, eyes distant, lost in something only you could see. Hyunjin had learned to recognize the signs—the tension in your posture, the slight tremble in your hands.

"Hyunjin," you called quietly, voice hoarse. "You here?"

"I’m always here," he replied, his voice steady.

You glanced at him, managing a small, tired smile, as if you wanted to laugh, but it faded quickly. Your eyes, haunted and wide, spoke volumes—you were in the middle of something, something you couldn’t explain but felt deep in your bones.

"You okay?" Hyunjin asked, taking a few steps closer.

Your jaw clenched. “I… I don’t know anymore. Some days are worse than others.”

Hyunjin could see it—the storm building behind your eyes. The memories, the trauma, were clawing at you. The people you had hurt, people who hadn’t deserved it. The past you were trying to outrun was never far behind. The nightmares, the flashbacks—they all bled together until you couldn’t tell where one ended and the other began.

He stepped closer, his voice gentle but firm. “Talk to me. What happened this time?”

Your breath hitched, and you wrapped your arms around yourself, as if bracing against an invisible force. "Earlier at the courthouse, it was just a door… Just a slam, but it sounded like gunshots. Like it was happening all over again." You closed your eyes, tears threatening to spill over. "I couldn’t stop myself."

Hyunjin’s heart ached. He knew the weight of your words. He knew the fight you were in, every day, to stay away from the monster you’d been—and the fear that you might slip back into it.

"You’re not that person anymore," Hyunjin said, moving closer, his voice soft. "You’re not."

You shook your head, your breath coming faster now. "But I was. I can’t just forget it."

“You can’t change the past,” Hyunjin said, his voice calm and sure. "But you can change the future. You don’t have to be that person anymore.”

You let out a shaky breath, chest heaving as you tried to steady yourself. Hyunjin reached out his hand, a silent invitation. “It’s okay. I’ve got you.”

You hesitated for a moment, eyes flicking to him, searching for something—anything—to tell you it was real. That it wasn’t just words. Slowly, you stepped forward, your body trembling as you leaned into him. He wrapped his arm around you, holding you steady, his presence firm and unwavering.

For a few moments, there was nothing but the sound of your ragged breathing and the distant hum of the city. The weight of everything you had been, and everything you feared you might become, rested on his shoulders. But he didn’t move. He didn’t pull away. He simply let you lean on him.

“I’m sorry,” you whispered, voice breaking.

Hyunjin’s hand gently stroked your back. “You’re not alone. Not anymore. Whenever you need me, I’m here.”

Your body relaxed in his arms, the tension slowly easing. "Thank you," you murmured, voice raw but grateful.

“You don’t need to thank me,” Hyunjin said, pulling back just enough to look you in the eye. “We’ll get through it. Together.”

You wiped your eyes, offering a shaky smile. "I don’t know how I’d do this without you."

Hyunjin smiled at your words, squeezing you just a bit tighter. He knew he had helped you along the way. He just feared what he knew would be inevitable, the day you left him.

Once the court case was closed, you’d be off to a new life under the witness protection program, a new beginning. He’d be extremely happy for you, but he feared what would happen to you in times like this.

Who would be there for you?

He shook the thought from his head, deciding that’s an issue for the future. For now, he would continue to be there for you, even if it was just for a short time.

Lmfaooo oh yes, I still have a request in my inbox for a "Soldier Boy/Ben meeting his daughter's boyfriend for the first time" imagine, and I haven't forgotten about it. 😂

Even in the Break Me Down-verse, I think that will go down about how you'd expect...

With Ben being Uber Protective Dad and suspicious of any guy Lila brings home (or he catches hanging out with, or texting, or talking to in general). In his mind, he knows how guys are, especially after all the nasty shit he got down to throughout his life and in his youth.

It doesn't matter to him how young and innocent Lila and the boy are, or how well behaved and presentable the guy is, Ben's going to be suspicious of boys with his daughter.

Oh yes, he will threaten them. With his intimidating presence and hard stare, it wouldn't take much. 😅

Lila will of course be exasperated by the whole thing, but no amount of "Daddy, come on," is going to deter Ben from grilling the brave young soul who comes to ask for his permission to date his daughter (because yes, Ben will be upholding that old-school prerequisite).

If young Lila had a girlfriend, however, it might take a moment for Ben to wrap his mind around it, but ultimately he'd be supportive. He's less trusting of men, and if his daughter isn't going to be dating skeevy guys, then that's a weight off his mind.

BUT, from then on, he'd still be suspicious of every girl who comes over for a "sleepover," regardless if they're just friends or not. 😅

Ben: *pushes the bedroom door open suddenly and at random. Looks around to find his daughter and her guest* Hey. What's going on in here?

Lila: Literally nothing, Dad.

Ben: Okay. Let's keep it that way. *purposefully leaves the door open*

Lila: *rolls her eyes when he leaves the room*

Best Five/Lila moment for you?

Bracelet scene.

Not because it's cute and like a romcom (which is cool, by the way) but for all the meaning! For all that it means for what came before and what came after.

Five and Lila wanted to kill each other and kicked each other's asses pretty badly a few times. They both wore their masks. They both had their demons. And the masks in this scene are totally off, you know.

Five is completely emotionally exposed and vulnerable in front of her and he just wants to please his girl. He's so proud to make a gift for her. In the whole context, it's so incredibly powerful and sweet.

After that, there's no going back, he can never be the same in front of her. And when he gets hurt by something she says or does, you can see on his face how much she means to him because he can't hide when it hurts. She can hurt him with one sentence more than she could when she wanted to smash his head against the mirror (and other things).

I'm actually pretty soft on them because this is something that can take the story and the ship to a whole other level. She's his weakness because he fell so hard for her. And I'm completely obsessed with it.

YES! In fact, I got to play it a bit at SerenityForge's booth at the last PAXWest, along with DDLC+. Here's a small sample of my pin haul :)

Most of it I have unfortunately just seen and not played, however. ManlyBadassHero is my go-to for gaming videos (I *ADORE* his Who's Lila gameplay, which I have rewatched maybe seven times over? I feel like if you check it out you'll immediately understand me like 10 times better and idk if that's good or bad haha), but I will admit Markiplier was my first let's-play love so I will always have a soft spot for him...

As for the game itself, I feel like just mentioning the cannibalism (lovely as it is) undersells it!!!! Let's not forget the time loops, the lovely bickering between the voices in the player's head, THE NARRATIVE AS A DIEGETIC AND HOSTILE FORCE THAT THE PRINCESS AND PLAYER ARE BOTH TRAPPED INSIDE AND CAN ONLY REALLY WIN BY ESCAPING ENTIRELY?? And the idea of a person literally changing based on others' expectations of them.
