Horseshoe crab!! I love them! I see them (their molted shells) a lot on the beaches in Massachusetts and have gotten to see them crawling around in the water a few times before too! I love their weird little crab feet. They may be mostly shell, but their shell looks chunky so they can get a little chunk, as a treat. They’re so cool and unique, maximum funk. From my experience touching them, very dry. No gunk.

Overall: 9/10

sir????? Wdym me aren't even at the climax of Kid Leo yet???? How far ahead did you plan???? Hats off to you man, I could not.

Oh I've planned it to the end, plus a bit more, and then I ended up rewriting the ending just recently :D

I don't like fully committing to an au or a fic or anything without a full plot/idea cause then I won't finish it :3 I actually did go into Kid Leo without that originally but then it got big enough I wanted to be able to finish it one day! So an actual plot happened!

Also yeah we're still about halfway through, even with all the cuts I've made, but not quite to the climax yet!

#asks #kid leo asks #this is why its taking me a bit longer to work on L330-N or Lil Hater or the Rural ay #they do techncally have complete plits #but im having trouble with some of the endings and middle bits #esp with L330-N #i have two endings i really like :/#as for Kid Leo i recently rewrote a big big chunk of it which filled in some plot holes #i was kinda worried the next couple arcs were too boring and realized that i actually dont have to do those arcs anymore?#if that makes sense #im still working on it!#mostly just typing it up from my notes :3 #also the reason tmnt:hme hasnt really happened is cause it has no linear plot #it was just a mishmash of ideas from my childhood :D #sooooo yeah

i was thinking a lot the other day about the parallels between Nico and Iapetus/Bob. Both had their memories wiped in the River Lethe and immediately were told lies about their lives - Nico and Bianca were told by Alecto that they were orphans and both their parents had died in an accident, among other lies we don't know the details of that Nico eventually learned to be false as he regained his memories. And obviously Iapetus was given an entire false identity by Percy. Percy has a tendency to use both of them - keeping them at a wary arm's distance but repeatedly insisting that they're allies and that they should be loyal to him. And both of them know fully well how far Percy's actual loyalty to them extends and are willing to sacrifice themselves for his sake anyways. Percy leaves Nico in the Underworld in TLO, with Nico making an explicit note that he knows Percy doesn't trust him anymore. Percy has just choked him. And he still rallies the forces of the Underworld to come to his aid. Bob begins to remember his true self while in Tartarus and Percy warily reinforces that they're allies and Percy leaves him in Tartarus while Bob sacrifices himself to allow Percy to escape.

Plus, Nico was the only one to keep in touch with Bob and reinforce that Percy is their ally. It reminds me a lot of Nico's conversation with Hazel in Son of Neptune about Percy -

Nico talks about Percy with personal experience of what it's like for Percy to briefly consider him an enemy. It really makes you wonder what his conversations with Bob were like after Sword of Hades.
