working on my ts4 build of the bates house bc i kinda needed to finish the upstairs for this one thing i wanted to do w summer 2021 post-breakup ambermeli. and i was touching up the dresser in melina’s room bc the tool mod actually hates me and keeps dropping stuff back into the household inventory so i had to put her sonny angel figures back up there.

and while i was putting up the kuromi & my melody ones on either side of the picture of her and amber at junior prom, i just got to pondering and… man. my poor baby 😭 💔

pre-breakup and literally everything else melina was actually so pure n i feel so bad for her. like i really set her ass UP. babygirl was prolly peaceful as hell rearranging her lil sanrio critters in her wall to wall cutesy pinkcore bedroom like “well obvi kuromi has to be on amber’s side and my melody goes on my side since they’re basically us bc we have the same contrasting black/pink aesthetics!! 🥰”

blissfully unaware that, like, in a month or so that girl was going to drop her right out the mf blue bc she was ‘too clingy’ (and therefore would get in the way of amber being able to Ghostface It Up but she was not finna tell her all that), absolutely ice her out for the remainder of the summer, and then literally make an attempt on her life, but spare her only to put her thru a speedrun of every single circle of hell at once come september 😭

arc-v is truly the most epic highs and epic lows of yugioh--unfortunately we have to watch a yugioh woman get screwed over by the writing AGAIN. (SORRY ALEXIS I LOVE YOU ALEXIS.) but also on the flip side this is some of the MOST bonkers kickass voice acting ive heard in any yugioh dub. michael liscio jr. went hard as HELL on this read!!! To go in depth about what bothers me about Kyosaya is that we never see what Sayaka’s feelings on Kyoko are romantically and we never see how she even develops them in the first place. It’s why I hate that scene in Rebellion because it just seems like pure fan service with no proper set up. We KNOW Kyoko cares for Sayaka and most likely has romantic feelings mixed in there (also an ass pull but she’s gay so it’s understandable), but when and WHY did Sayaka even come to reciprocate those feelings for her? What does she like about Kyoko?

We know where Kyoko’s feelings towards Sayaka comes from: Kyoko sees herself in Sayaka and is reminded of when she was a child who believed in hope, but it’s also not a stretch to say that she saw Mami in Sayaka as well, which is why she holds a fondness for her.

So what about Sayaka? Why does she want to be friends with Kyoko? They were about to be friends before she died in Madoka’s new world but we never have any follow up about that.

And don’t tell me it’s shown in the Wraith Arc bc the entire premise of it being made AFTER Rebellion annoys me too. Whatever they have written for them in that arc is just going to be nothing but excuses for me; like why that scene in Rebellion even went the way it did, why she even regretted leaving Kyoko behind. Because from what we know in the TV series, going by RELEASE ORDER, she didn’t give two fucks about Kyoko.

Sure, it’s probably better late than never to develop them when they have time to, but idk maybe show me that in the movie a lil before getting to a weirdly intimate scene where she essentially confesses to Kyoko.

**Kicking** Screaming** WHY DIDN’T THEY EVER LET HOMURA SAVE MADOKA????? I HATED THAT SO MUCH!!! 

It legitimately reminded me of what happened to one of my other gay friends in high school. She had homophobic parents (they were from Eastern Europe originally) but she was in love with this other girl from our school (who had a girlfriend, of course). And I was just kind of witnessing this on the sidelines like ;-;  Because my clueless ass did not realize I was in love with her at the time. I was probably half aware of it but somehow knew to not open that pandora’s box of a mess because I wasn’t stable enough to help her at all. I was seventeen and more of a spazzy dumbass (importantly an unmedicated one) than I am now. Would that have helped her? No. It would not have. Did it hurt me? Yes, it did. 

So Homura is my favorite character from Madoka Magica and I hate that they made her go insane at the end of the show (though I guess it’s the logical end to the awful fate of constantly trying to save someone who is determined to sacrifice herself for the good of the world even if she shouldn’t)- and become the evil that Madoka has to destroy.

So far, with what I know of her character, rather than being a representative of ipc's absolute greed, i see jade as a representation of absolute exchange instead.

i'm honing in on her snake symbol right now, especially the one on her stamp as she crushes us with her heel. Highly speculative at this point, but if she does wind up having some relation to a certain snake eating its own tail, it wouldn't surprise me. When I think of oroboros, i see the give and take of life, its cyclical nature, birth going into death and the movement and vicissitude of seasons.

People may not see it at a glance, but Jade is super nurturing. From one of her messages to TB about 'managing up' to her lightcone 'Yet Hope Is Priceless', Jade cares a great deal about helping up others- especially children - reach their full potential, regardless of how we may interpret her intentions as of now. We only see her more menacing side with the moles, the traitors, who presumably broke important oaths and hence 'committed sins'.

She doesn't strike me as someone loyal to IPC, per se, and we know every one of the Stonehearts is in it for their own thing. Their department has beef with the Marketing group. Also, there is this line on her Character Story 2 that stuck with me:

Witness: The Silverchain Galaxy that once rejected the IPC have now become reliable allies of the 'Strategic Investment Department

She's trying to get them on the side of Strategic Investment Department, specifically.

What is sinister about Jade, to me, is her authority as a senior member of SID, and she's hardly alone in that front– but also the fact that she ultimately has a hand in how people or planets are priced. I for one felt outrageous for the girl who offered three rare gems and third lease on her planet's mining industry, for their planet to be saved from the impending storm, just for jade to go 'nope im taking your soul too. now you're working for the amber lord!!!' or to that effect. She can easily slip into cruelty when need be, as we see her putting the pressure on Old Otti, and that's par for the course for a senior-ranking manager.
